In a post-apocalyptic world scientists have been experimenting on people to create a stronger soldier. The successful experiments become infused with the DNA of animals that have gone extinct or are nearly extinct. Now they are fighting back.

She frowned and closed her eyes, concentrating on her memory of the fight. Katzi squinted in the darkening light and pulled her hood up over her head. It was getting a little bit chilly in the forest, the closeness of the trees making the sunlight only trickle in.
