Friendly Beginnings

I am a veteran roleplayer with experience in several tabletop systems, AOL, MySpace, and several forums across the years.

I prefer Cyberpunk, Sci-Fi/Futuristic, Superheroes/Mutants, and Medieval Fantasy. Given the choice, I'd rather mix Cyberpunk and Supers.

Above all, in a roleplay, I crave a solid structure to ground me in the world and how it functions. If something works once, it can work again...otherwise, what has changed to prevent it? Not even magic is immune to logic and reason, and I view it as directed energy following natural laws, rather than a thinly-veiled "because I said so" mechanic.

That structure gives insight into what can happen and why, and strengths and weaknesses may be exploited. That level of openness and honesty not only offers plot, but also helps to prevent metagaming.

I always strive to explain exactly how and why my characters' powers function. Every effect has a cause, and every reaction as an action that started it.

I haven't created any characters yet, but I'm open to finding a universe to play in! Contact Me »

If you want to build a ship, donโ€™t drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work, and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea.โ€
