Artsydaze wrote:Excellent! Do you know anyone that may be interested as well? At least a squad need to be done as otherwise it would not be as fun!

Not anyone in particular. I'm fairly new to the community, though I have made a few acquantinces. I'll ask around and see if anyone would be interested, though!

Re: Favorite Anime Movie?

I'd have to say, End of Evangelion, The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, Summer Wars, and 5 Centimeters Per Second are some of my most recent favorites. Of course I love Ghibli, Akira, etc. etc. as well.

Re: Which accent do you want (besides your own)?

I'd love to have a Spanish accent, preferably Andalucían. There's something about that lisp combined with the r rolls...hmmm. Luckily I speak pretty proficient Spanish, so I can mimic one fairly well. But my English is tinged with a bit of Southern twang. Not a lot, not very close to the quintessent...

Re: Cyberpunk game anyone?

SkullsandSlippers wrote:So everything you can find in the old cp 2020...neuroprocessors, cyber limits and add ons, netrunners, cops, solos. etc.

Setting would be more like 2030-2045 rather than 2020. Modern cities, etc.

Sounds fantastic!! I would love to be a part of this.

Make it happen ._. ._. ._.

Re: Cyberpunk game anyone?

I'd absolutely be interested. Love me some cyberpunk.
Will there be hacking/augmentation elements and stuff like that as well?
What setting and time period are you thinking?

Re: Looking for Star Trek fans...

Huge fan of DS9 and TNG, so I would definitely be interested in joining.
An RP on a DS9 like space station would be especially fun :P

Re: How Complex Is Too Complex?

13th Doctor, thanks a lot for your comments, they are much appreciated. I've definitely thought about making a lexicon like thing before, though I somehow never thought about putting in cultural terms, like the differences between a certain thing from one culture to another; it's a really good idea....

Re: Althaea

Hello everyone! I've only recently joined Roleplay Gateway, and am still getting acquainted with the system, but I've done a lot of roleplaying in the past. I have to say, I was really drawn to this RP when I read the description and some of the posts, and I'm excited to get involved. I made my char...

Re: How Complex Is Too Complex?

Thanks a lot, Bosch. That really clarifies things for me, and made me look at some things in a different light than I was. This is my first time trying to run an RP, so I suppose I have a lot to learn ^_^ I did forget, as you said, one of the fundamentals of RP'ing: the collaborative writing part. S...

How Complex Is Too Complex?

My question is this: how complex is too complex for an original world? Is it foolish to expect people to learn all the terminology, history, culture, backstory, etc. etc., even if it is voluminous, of your world in order to maintain a consistent setting? I'm asking this because I have an idea for an...
