Monthly Featured Character: September

September's MFC theme will be the winner of the last MFC's character:
Angel_Melfina's character, Alexis DuGall
Name: Alexis DuGall
Species: Human (with superpowers)
Appearance: I really have not thought about what she looks like yet, as I haven't yet begun the RP. I really want people to be able to go crazy with their imaginations. I know I want her to be very thin, with long, straight hair. She is American. At work, she wears a simple business suit, but at home, she wears paint-stained jeans and t-shirts. As for eye color, hair color and all of that, feel free to do what you imagine her to be.
Personality: When by herself, Alex is on top of the world. Her art fills her with adrenaline and creates an air of confidence around her, even if it hasn't been accepted at any galleries as of yet. However, when she is at work or at around her parents, she is timid and obedient. Alexis never had a lot of friends, as she kept to herself, so she even finds it hard to open up around the people she can call friends.
Brief Biography:Alexis was born 27 years ago to Frank and Charlene DuGall. Her parents were not well off, but made average salaries on which they supported their only child. The young girl always made the good grades that her parents pushed her to make, but her true passion, as she learned early on, was art. Almost every night while Alexis was supposed to be studying, her paintbrush was going hard at work on a piece of computer paper that she had stolen from her father's office, and every night, she was caught and made to work on her academic grades instead. Frank and Charlene never understood their daughter's love of the brush; they were too preoccupied with trying to get her into the workforce to do well for herself later in life.
When Alexis turned 20, much to the dismay of her folks, she finally moved out into a small studio apartment closer to her college. She excelled in art classes there, thriving from the scholarships she had been awarded from high school; she had something to be thankful to her parents for. When Alexis refused to conform to the strict art standards of the college, however, she dropped out, not ready to throw her own style and techniques to the side just to mimic others.
After dropping out at 21, Alexis got a job at a nearby art gallery, only working as a receptionist. She has worked there since, still trying to break into the art world to get her name out there. After a few years of raises and praise, Alexis finally upgraded to a larger apartment, one in which she had her own art studio to work on her passion and escape from the heartbreak that was the art world.
She also has the power to manipulate minds.
