Prologue: The Gathering


[Complete] 1. Gather the Team
Quest Giver: Warden-Commander Malik
Objective: You've recieved your orders and your commission. All that remains is to meet your fellows and embark.
Description: Warden-Commander Malik assured you that knowledge of your first destination rested safely in the mind of your leader, thus far known to you only as "The Dreamer." You have been instructed to meet this Dreamer on the Wounded Coast outside of Kirkwall in the dead of night, packed, saddled, and ready to go. Whether because of the amount they're paying you, your respect for Malik, or for your own personal reasons, you have agreed to follow the Dreamer's direction, and you're aware that for the duration of this assignment, help will be almost nonexistent. The Dreamer is the only link you have to the quest, but what that means is apparently for you to decide, since nobody bothered to explain it to you. Good luck, soldier. You'll need it.

[Complete] 2. Reach the Rendezvous Point and Meet Captain Bryland
Quest-Giver: Warden-Commander Malik
Objective: Find the ship which will take you to Val Royeaux.
Description: Malik estimates that the journey will take about a day uninterrupted, riding along the Wounded Coast and skirting the edges of the Planacene Forest. Your contact is a man called Bryland, apparently an old acquaintance of Malik's. Given the danger of the Waking Sea in winter, this man is likely the only way to cross the water and make port before spring.



[Complete] Sidequest: Liberate the Wounded Coast
Quest Giver: Jorundr the Scholar
Objective: Rout the bandits along the shores of the Wounded Coast
Description: A letter found on the person of one Jorundr indicates that there is a particularly-dangerous camp of highwaymen somewhere on the Wounded Coast. The bandits have made off with a sizeable cache of loot, presumably somewhere near the main base of operations. Since Jorundr’s no longer alive to claim it, it stands to reason that the loot is free for the taking, and whomever eliminates the bandits will also be doing Kirkwall and the surrounding area a service.

Part One: Morpheus, The Dreamweaver


[Complete] 1. Reach Orlais
Quest Giver: Warden-Commander Malik
Objective: You've braved the Wounded Coast and found your way to the Crimson Tide. All that you have to do now is survive a couple of weeks at sea with your comrades...
Description: The Captain and his crew have welcomed you aboard the ship with open arms. Well, the Captain has. The others seem to be mostly content to ignore your presence unless asked a direct question. Your quarters below the deck are a little cramped, and the food leaves much to be desired, but other than that, the journey looks to be smooth sailing, quite literally. A few of the people aboard might have some idea as to what the current state of thing in Orlais is, if you can pluck up the courage and the tact to ask.

[Complete] 2. Find a Way to Morpheus
Quest-Giver: Warden-Commander Malik
Objective: Find a way through the Darkspawn siege defenses and to the General
Description: The center of Val Royeaux is currently under Darkspawn control, and reaching it won't be easy. A palisade wall defends the outer rim of the defenses, and behind that lies some kind of magical barrier that blocks mages' ability to sense any magic going on behind it. Ethne does not know if she would be able to get through such a construct, and so any attempt to rush the barricades is going to be a major risk to life and limb. There might be another option, but it would take some considerable guile, and a working knowledge of the area...

[Complete] 3. Escape the Fade
Quest Giver: Ethne Venscyath
Objective: You’ve made it to the Orlesian Chantry, but almost immediately feel under the sway of the Darkspawn General Morpheus
Description: While Ethne remains trapped in a lyrium crystal, the other members of the party have been forced into the Fade, robbed of their memories by Morpheus and either tempted or tortured into believing that the world he has created for them is real. The illusions aren’t perfect, however, and discovering their flaws may be the only way to escape and defeat the Darkspawn. Once you find those flaws, though, will you even want to leave?

[Complete] 4. Defeat Morpheus
Quest Giver: Warden-Commander Malik
Objective: Kill the first Darkspawn General: Morpheus, Lord of Dreams.
Description: Having faced your demons and awoken from your enchanted slumber, all that remains is to slay the foe that put you there. This will be no easy task, however, as Morpheus has assembled a near-army of shades and demons to defend him, and now has the ability to rain powerful magic upon you from behind the defenses they represent. Fight well, hero.


[Complete] Sidequest: Rescue Mirabelle and Emilio
Quest-Giver: Knight-General Delacriox
Objective: Kill the enemies trying to kill the Warden and the Templar, before those enemies kill them.
Description: The Darkspawn have sensed the presence of a Warden, and two people at a watch-point are not going to be enough to fight off the large number of beasts headed their way. Find a way around the main fight, and flank from the other side of the building they're camped on.

Part Two: Erebus, The Gatekeeper


[Complete]1. Find Erebus
Quest-Giver: Warden-Commander Malik
Objective: Locate the Second of the Four Darkspawn Generals
Description: Ethne's dreams have given you a general direction: you need to head to Antiva. That said, a country's a pretty big place, so it'll take a bit more work than that to achieve your goal. For now, head into the Deep Roads and try to avoid the bulk of the Darkspawn army on your way to assassinate one of its remaining leaders.

[Complete] 2. Clear the Darkspawn Fortifications
Quest-Giver: Dov Dovarsson
Objective: Infiltrate the fortified Darkspawn encampment and destroy it.
Description: The quickest way to Antiva City is blocked by a well-blockaded Darkspawn platoon. In order to reach your goal, you much overcome this obstacle and fight your way through the tunnels beyond. In this at least, you have the dwarven Legion of the Dead standing at your back and sides, but given their commander's reluctance to lose his men, it may be for only a limited time.

[Complete] 3. Assess the Situation in Antiva
Quest Giver: Ethne Venscyath
Objective: Discover what you can about the darkspawn presence in Antiva.
Description: Ethne has directed you towards the capital, but the situation there is as yet unknown to you. Attempting to figure out what’s going on before charging right into the fray is likely to help in defeating Erebus. See if you can’t locate someone with news of the area.

[Complete] 4. Defeat Erebus
Quest Giver: Warden-Commander Malik, Llesenia Rios
Objective: Make your way through the near-abandoned White Palace and kill the General within.
Description: The second of the Four has fortified his position in Antiva city's White Palace, and the Queensguard captain Llesenia Rios is the only one with a way in. She's agreed to guide you if you'll help her rescue the captive royal family on your way to killing the monster that took them.




[Complete] Sidequest: Unfinished Business
Quest-Giver: Mirabelle Desmaris
Objective: Discover the fate of Mira's family.
Description: When the Darkspawn invaded Orlais, they didn't leave Mira's brothel alone. The resulting fight rendered her unconscious, and though the Grey Wardens saved her, there's no telling what befell the Madam and the other girls. Morpheus indicated that the answers were to be found beneath Cagliari, and Solvej has warned that they will likely not be good ones. Mira has asked for assistance in uncovering them all the same, and the party has agreed. It is imperative to find some way into the Darkspawn nest beneath the border town of Cagliari.

[Complete] Sidequest: The Grey Lady
Quest-Giver: Kerin Valar
Objective: Complete Kerin's Joining
Description: Kerin's decided she wants to be a Grey Warden, and there's no stopping her now that she has. The party should make its way further through the roads, and keep an eye out for opportunities to collect Darkspawn blood. Once there's enough, some blood magic and a senior Warden will be required, and then all that remains is left to fate-- the one she makes.

[Complete] Sidequest: A Most Unusual Darkspawn
Quest Giver: Erebus
Objective: Gain additional information on Erebus.
Description: As several members of the party noticed and all witnessed firsthand, Erebus was unlike any darkspawn the party has encountered in the past, and indeed quite unlike Morpheus. His apparent death wish was puzzling, as were his allusions to things like the Golden City. Perhaps the Antivan Royals, his captives for months at least, know something about him that the party does not.

Part Three: Momus, The Oathbreaker


[Complete] 1. Find Momus
Quest-Giver: Warden-Commander Malik
Objective: Locate the Third of the Four Darkspawn Generals
Description: Momus was a little more forthcoming with her actual location than either of her predecessors, and it is clear that the group must venture to the Marble Spire, the building that hosts Anderfels’ Circle of Magi. What condition it will be in when they arrive, and what trials await them at this general’s hands, are much less clear.

[Complete] 2. Rendezvous with the Scarlet Tide
Quest-Giver: Rudhale Bryland
Objective: Get to the Anderfels
Description: It would appear that, by chance or planning, just when the group needs fast transport to the Anderfels, Rudhale's old ship is docking in Antiva City. He's certain that the new captain will be more than amenable to providing transport.

[Complete] 3. Assess the Situation in the Anderfels
Quest-Giver: Warden-Commander Malik
Objective: Discern the state of Anderfels relative to the Darkspawn incursions
Description: From the sounds of things, Momus and her part of the horde seem to be holed up in a place called the 'Marble Spire,' which according to Solvej serves as the Circle of Magi for Anderfels. How far beyond those walls the Darkspawn have been able to reach, or what has become of the mages and Templars within, is impossible to tell at this point, but will probably demand some exploration upon arrival.

[Complete] 4. Break the Siege
Quest-Giver: Knight-Captain Heinrich Kaiser
Objective: Rout the Darkspawn from the lowest floor of the Spire, and pave the way for the mages and Templars to clear it from the bottom up.
Description: The Darkspawn under the General Momus have completely overtaken the Marble Spire, imprisoning an unknown number of mages and Templars inside, turning the Circle into an elaborate stronghold, not to mention a torture chamber of sickening proportions. There’s an additional problem: Knight-Commander Stein and First Enchanter Schaeffer are missing, and nobody is sure if they’re alive or dead.

[Complete] 5. Defeat Momus
Quest-Giver: Warden-Commander Malik
Objective: Take down the third of the four Darkspawn Generals
Description: While far from the most physically daunting of foes, Momus has unrivaled control of the mind, and it will require more than just strength to rise to the challenge she poses the party. She lies in wait in the highest room of the Marble Spire, and First Enchanter Schaeffer has warned the party that she will not be a straightforward foe.



[Complete] Sidequest: Specters of the Past
Quest-Giver: Rudhale Bryland
Objective: Kill the Antivan Crow known as La Fantasma.
Description: He won’t say why, but Rudhale is convinced that a woman named Shoshana Zurine needs to die. He’s asked for the help of a few of his friends with the matter, claiming that a friend of his, Roderigo Castaneda, has been tracking the woman for him for some time, and she’s only just now surfaced in Antiva City. The task will have to be carried out at night, and as quietly as possible, but he’s adamant that it must happen before the group leaves for the Anderfels.

Part Four: Thanatos, The Deathbringer


[Complete] 1. Find Thanatos
Quest-Giver: Warden-Commander Malik
Objective: Locate the last of the four Darkspawn Generals
Description: Discerning the location of the last general may well be the most difficult task the Dreamer has ever undertaken. He is elusive enough that he seems to exist only in rumor, and none of those rumors has so much as a country attached to it. But surely, there are very few places where such a creature could assume control and prevent word of it from reaching far enough for the Wardens to hear…

[Complete] 2. Assess the Situation in Tevinter
Quest-Giver: Warden-Commander Malik
Objective: Discern the state of the Tevinter Imperium relative to the Darkspawn incursions
Description: The information that Ethne was able to glean about the conditions in the land of her birth do not paint an especially-clear picture of what is going on, but she knows that Thanatos is somewhere in Minrathous. In order to discover more, they will have to arrive, and for once, it seems unlikely that their help will be welcomed.

[Complete] 3. Infiltrate the Fête
Quest-Giver: Lysander Tiberius
Objective: Look for any information relating Thanatos to the disappearance of the Magisters
Description: Lysander has informed the party that a large number of the Imperium's most influential Magisters seem to have disappeared, and he believes the incident is connected to the presence of a Darkspawn he can sense, but not find. There is one potential location for evidence: the private communications of another Magister, one who happens to be holding a very large party over the coming days...



[Complete] Sidequest: A Brother’s Love
Quest Giver: Solvej Gruenwald
Objective: Exonerate Efriel Gruenwald of charges of heresy and blood magic.
Description: Picking through a box of her brother’s belongings, Solvej finds a letter, dictated by her brother and addressed to her. In it, Efriel explains his motives for leaving the Circle before he was captured in the company of Bloodmages, and asks his sister to forgive them for what he knew would result. Solvej is much more interested in killing whomever was responsible.

[Complete] Sidequest: Intersecting Paths
Quest Giver: Suicide
Objective: Meet with a woman from Suicide's past.
Description: In the mountains on their way out of Anderfels, the party encounters a rough, weathered band of mercenary warriors, led by a powerful woman from the Korcari Wilds. Invited to a meeting, Suicide feels strongly compelled to go, his bond with the woman quite clear. What is not clear, however, are his intentions in regards to this woman, and his own future.

Part Five: Zazikel, The Archdemon


1. Find The Archdemon
Quest-Giver: Ethne Venscyath
Objective: Locate the archdeacon Zazikel.
Description: The archdemon is not easy to find, and generally makes appearances only to devastate the collective armies of Thedas in battle before it vanishes again. There may be clues to Zazikel’s whereabouts scattered among the collected documents of the Old God cults of Tevinter, or contained within the crystal orb that Thanatos left behind upon his demise.
