Moderator Positions Available

As part of the upcoming GWing Overhaul, we are seeking to have a staff of qualified moderators to help keep things organized and in line here on GWing. If you are interested, PM me with some sort of statement on what'd make you the best candidate for the job.

We're still working on the exact task list, but here's an idea of the sort of things mods do:

Move topics to the correct forums
Delete spam
Enforce the rules
Create and support roleplaying ideas
GM (Game Master...)

It would be useful for you to add a bit about what all a mod does, for the benefit of some who don't know.

I'd like to mod the video game section and here are my qualifications:

I own all three past generation, the PS2, Xbox and the cute little cube, I do not carry any biases for series or games with the exception of JRPGS, which I hate defiantly...but nowhere to go besides up with them. I'm a brutally honest game reviewer, yes, and am devout in my own opinions but I do not flame others for not sharing mine, to each his own but I will talk about how much I hate the game, etc. Not to the point of bashing others, however.

I used to be a mod on another forum and was the adminastrator of my very own forum a while ago. I know how to do everything, but that's where it ends, I am computer retarded but I'm smart enough to make my way around a forum, plus I can help organize the video game sections themselves...

Maybe even mod the Rp section, too. Again, on the forum I was a mod in I was also mod of the Rp section. I don't think anyone here has witnessed MY MIGHT HAXX0RZ SK1LLZ, (Haha) but I'd be happy to send an example of a past post of mine, maybe even do an impromptu post, to show I am an experienced roleplayer indeed.

If I need anything I haven't thought of to qualify just tell me. On on every day almost, very consistently, and my work doesn't get in the way of being on the net, either. I'm just a stand up comic after all.

I'm gonna go fuck my girlfriend now, I'll be back in three hours or so. I'll see how I end up then.

Hey I would like to become a mod for this place. I have had alot of experiance as a admin on other forums even started my own once. I don't normally try and become part of things unless I know I will be there for a while and well I don't think you could pay me to stay away.

You know I'd be quite useful 'Master'. For the fact that you've seen my point of view, and as well as I do not enjoy double-posts, ones that break rules and ones that try to surpass the rules by means of searching for loopholes. I work well with weeding out all wrongdoings. Since, of course, they seem to follow me wherever I go!

Maybe we could make this like one of them game shows? Or maybe make this a competition? Better yet, make this survivor style and have people voted out by the rest of the populace based on a questionaire or something.

Hello Eric.

I know I've only been here a short while, and I haven't even put a bio up yet, but I got the newsletter and noticed you were looking for moderators.

I'd be well qualified for the job, as I have been modding on many forums before, including http://www.rpgforumsonline.com with which I was a moderator for the Traditional Fantasy, Modern Fantasy, Realistic Eras and Mature Fantasy RP Sections. I gave the position up when I took a break from the forums for a while. I also taught RP combat skills before I took my break also.

I'm also currently a Moderator on a Website called "Sanctuary" http://www.hostingphpbb.com/forum/index ... =sanctuary where I am a moderator for five seperate forums, plus a hidden board that only moderators have access to.

I have moderator duties in two "cults" on my profile website http://www.vampirefreaks.com however, you will not be able to view them as they are viewable my members only.

I have also had experiences in running boards like this one.

I'd be interested, at the moment, in just the general RPing boards, as I'm still not used to how you run your site. I'm quite busy with school work and work and things like that, but I spend plenty of time on the computer and feel quite comfortable with taking roles like this. If you want references or anything, just let me know lol

Well, my qualifications are not as exuberant as the rest of you, but I've been a loyal member since, well just about the beginning of Gwing.

I've participated in many of the Rp's and I try to do my best to keep all of my posts legal...

'Lo Eric. Well, as far as qualifications go, I've moderated and co-adminned two other large sites. (Of different topic area though.) Haven't been on Gwing per se, but I've known you for a while. Hopefully, you see me as trustworthy, hard-working, etc.

It has been a difficult decision, most of you come from very qualified backgrounds. It has come to a distinct resolution after my period of deliberation, and after speaking with a few of you personally.
