Body: Completely cybernetic aside from his vital organs, brain, and part of his head, including his eyes

Height: 2.3 meters (7.5 feet)

Weight: 530 pounds

Race: Previously human, turned into a cyborg after and encounter with a young Jedi, Raigar Nihil

Homeworld: Barkhesh

History: In his prime, Selwyn Richthofen had been a rather promising and well-respected Jedi Knight, moving up to the rank of Master within only a few years of attaining Knighthood. Helping with the training of the younglings, sitting on the Council, he was liked by everyone, admired by all who met him and knew of his promising future. His passion for hunting down the Sith holocrons, however, was disturbing to other members of the Council. The Baron was, as a child, a calm and cool individual, often sitting alone to meditate. Heā€™d never known his parents, taken from them as an infant, raised by Jedi and trained by Jedi. Even as a youngling, Selwyn had shown a particular skill in telekinesis, often meditating just so that he could practice with it. When some younglings could barely push a feather, Selwyn sat alone, levitating chairs and books around himself.

As a Padawan, he had many masters, mainly because his masters quickly found themselves tiring of his constant ability to one-up them. Even in lightsaber training, Selwyn proved to be more than a match for all but the most skilled of opponents, figuratively cutting down at least five masters with his training saber. He achieved Knighthood very quickly, more so than most other Padawan learners, becoming a force to be reckoned with. At first, he was what he called a purifier, hunting down dissenters and bringing them before the Council for justice. It was during this job of his that he first encounted a Sith holocron. Not knowing what it was, the young Selwyn packed it away in his ship for later study. It was only when he arrived back at the temple that things became a bit strange. Though initially he had planned to show it to the masters, the young knight instead kept it a secret, bringing it to his room. When he had fallen asleepā€¦it spoke to him.

The holocron told of the dark power that it held, what it could give him. It told him that he could become more powerful than he had ever dreamed. When the young male awoke, he attributed the nausea and the words to a particularly vivid dream, shaking off his reservations and tucking it away in a small vault he kept in his room. Over the course of the next few weeks, the holocron continued to plague his dreams, or so he thought, even beginning to manifest someone he never knew from it. He ignored the dreams, the voices that nagged the back of his mind, continuing on with his duties. Only one thing had changed, howeverā€¦now the young knight hunted not only those in need of judging, but holocrons, as well. His trips became longer, though each was more successful than the last in the eyes of the council. Unbeknownst to them all, Selwyn was not only a gifted telekinesis user and lightsaber duelist, but also a skilled liar and deceptive in his actions to boot.

Due to his skilled deception and lies about his new obsession with holocrons, the Council believed that he only wished to take them out of the hands of young Jedi who may stumble upon them when they finally discovered his habit. Also due to his skill with his abilities, the young knight became one of the youngest Jedi masters of his time, coming to sit on the Council for his ā€œnobleā€ actions. In truth, the holocrons were beginning to affect Selwynā€™s mind. The nobleman from Barkhesh was turning towards the Dark Side and he didnā€™t even know it yet. Things were happening gradually, happening in a way that it kept the other Council members from noticing. Things would not go unnoticed for long, however.

After only a few years, however, one of the most perceptive of the masters began to notice the change in Selwyn. Not only had his mannerisms changed ever so slightly, a slight yellowish tinge had become known in his emerald eyes. The newest master was brought before the very Council he sat upon, attempting to lie his way out of a tight spot. Despite his abilities in lies and deception, however, he was this time found out.
Selwyn then began to show off just what his holocrons had shown himā€¦the master attacked at least three others, though he cannot remember the exact number these days. The masters then found out just how proficient Selwyn was with telekinesis, battering them with their own chairs and forcing them to cut them to pieces. That was not the extent of the battle, however, for Selwyn Richthofen, baron from Barkhesh, unveiled a new skill. Using not only his lightsaber to subdue the other masters, the Force wielder also began to blast them with Force lightning. Two of the masters were forced out of the windows of the Council chamber, that much he can remember, by the Force lightning. The other masters, however many were left, were subdued through skilled use of Force push and lightsaber dueling, the ex-master himself departing quickly enough into unknown regions.

Selwyn spent years in the background, decades, biding his time and managing the massive fortune his father left him. By investing wisely and selling prudently, the Dark Jedi doubled the already phenomenal wealth. It was by doing so that he was able to afford his next acquisitions: an Executor-class Star Dreadnaught and a full compliment of OOM-series battle droids to pilot it. He also had a full complement of droid gunners, as well. That was not the extent of it, buying also a full complement of B2 battle droids and droideka since they had been decommissioned after the end of the Clone Wars. Selwyn did not trust other humans, only getting enough humans to pilot his complement of fighters and ground-based weaponry. The dark side of the Force had affected him enough by then to turn his once beautiful emerald eyes to a startling yellow, unsettling to his human crew members. Selwyn used this Star Dreadnaught as his base, managing his finances only when he was planet-side to keep from giving his position away.

On one of his many trips in his own personal ship, Selwyn came across a young Zabrak Jedi who told him that he had abandoned the Order. The young Jedi gave his name as Raigar Nihil, never giving a reason as to why he left the Order or why he had been found on a world being blockaded by another in the system, the two worlds warring in the space between. The Dark Jedi then gave the Zabrak an offer he thought he couldnā€™t refuseā€¦to join him or he could kill him then to keep him quiet. To his great surprise, the tattooed young Jedi refused. True to his word, Selwyn attacked Raigar and a titanic running battle ensued. Raigar took flight back towards his ship and Selwyn attempted to crush the young Jedi. Through his own skill and a bit of blind luck in what came just before Selwyn could strike a killing blow after he had finally grounded him, Raigar was able to come out unscathed. The young Jedi had held him off for too long and Selwyn had gotten careless. Though he struck him down with a quick kick, he had not paid attention to the burning skies and the fact that it was getting brighter. With a bit of telekinetic manipulation, Raigar had brought a cruiser falling from orbit towards them and then crushed Selwyn under it as he pulled himself away.

Selwyn burnt there on the surface of that planet, crushed beneath the husk of the cruiser, though he did not die. Much of his body was irreparable, his droids coming to his rescue when heā€™d managed to call them. His lightsaber, miraculously, still functioned, the man almost catatonic after giving the orders to get him to the nearest and best medical facility. The medical facilities he was brought to managed to stabilize the badly burnt male, getting him awake long enough to give him options. Though many of them seemed viable, Selwyn opted to have his entire body save for his vital organs, brain, and eyes into a droid body. Though he had heard of General Grievous, his own droid body was made better, stronger, and faster than the cyborg before him had been.

The cyborg body was created with a duranium-phrik alloy that made cutting through it with even a lightsaber difficult, if not impossible, to slice through with a lightsaber, though it was not as durable as true phrik or a cortosis weave weapon, so a truly determined foe may one day be able to slice through it. He had also ordered his brain modified to enhance his equilibrium to ensure that it could compensate for his newly agile body, more so than his old human frame. His organs were housed in a synthskin gutsack that proved impervious to vacuum. His eyes also had internal implants inserted to enhance his already hawk-like vision and also protect them from the vacuum of space just as his organs were and also giving him the ability to view the infrared spectrum at his mental command. The droid body came standard with four upper limbs and two lower, though the four upper limbs could combine into two. All of its phalanges could be used for climbing claws, giving Selwynā€™s new body a newfound ability to navigate terrain. He also had a density projector to increase his weight greatly. It can be used to ensure he is never bowled over or to ensure that another Jedi cannot pick him up with Force-born telekinesis.

That was not the extent of his changes, however, for the lower appendages were equipped with magnetic feet. His bodyā€™s jump servos were also tweaked to give maximum power, allowing the 2.3-meter tall cyborg to launch himself incredible distances despite his weight, which was considerable in itself. Each of his upper arms of the four were equipped with grappling spike launchers, allowing Selwyn the ability to both remotely grapple a foe or object and pull himself to things he needs to pull himself to. Though not a true modification, the new droid body does serve to give Selwyn quite the frightful prescence, intimidating most foes. Each lower arm was also fitted with an experimental flamethrower unit, only needing refueling once every month. As a means of torture and/or repair/destruction, an electroshock probe and cutting torch/welding laser was installed in two of the fingers of each upper arm. Overall, the modifications and the process of changing him into a cyborg cost the baron almost as much as the ship he would soon purchase. The only side effect of the operation was a nagging wheeze if he exerted himself too greatly.

To match his newly powerful body, Selwyn chose to abandon his barely shielded ship so sparsely laden with weapons for a sleeker, faster, more nimble and powerful ship. As he had heard of General Grievous and studied him, he adopted the same style ship that the original cyborg flew, a modified Belbullab-22 starfighter. It served him well, using it for reconnaissance missions and general ambassadorial duties. Though it was not his original body, Selwyn still chose to wear robes similar to those he wore as a human, hiding much of his form. To accompany the ship, he also purchased a Tsmeu-6 wheelbike, modifying that, too, to suit his tastes. Instead of mounting a dual laser cannon, Selwyn opted for the more powerful quad laser. The wheelbike is hardly ever employed, however, save on worlds where landing a ship is not an option. During the downtime after obtaining his new body, Selwyn began to construct a second lightsaber. He considered making a third and fourth lightsaber, though he did not have to. Running across Jedi served his purposes, surprising them with his body and striking them down in the momentary pause and taking their lightsabers for his own.

It was also during this downtime that Selwyn began calling himself Darth Necron. Whilst not a necromancer or even a Sith, Selwyn did consider himself risen from the dead after the horrid burns and crushing of his body. He also began hatching plans to gain power in the universe, taking much of his vast wealth and purchasing his flagshipā€¦the only ship under his command so far, the Executor-class Star Dreadnaught ā€˜Unjust Punishment.ā€™ To accompany the ship and pilot it, he purchased much of the decommissioned Separatist Droid Army and also commissioned many more to be made since he found the numbers to be a bit lacking. It cost a pretty penny, cutting his credits down to less than half. This still left him with many more credits than most people considered rich had and he continued to invest and sell wisely to bolster his money source.

As his personal guard, the newly christened Darth Necron commissioned a group of forty IG-100 Magnaguards to be created. 15 of those droids were created to wield electrostaves whilst the other 25 were designed to use the Bulldog Rocket Launching Rifle. His ship was to be piloted by the OOM-series battle droids who wielded no weapons normally, but would take up their E-5 blaster rifles should the ship be invaded. For his personal army, he bought up all the B2 super battle droids, B3 ultra battle droids, and droideka he could find, commissioning many more to complete his army. The only humans he employs are the pilots for his fighters, dropships, and ground-based artillery, the AT-ATs, the AT-STs. He is currently searching for the one human he can trust to be his right-hand man or woman.

Total cost: 178,000 credits

Abilities: Even before his body was changed, Selwyn was an accomplished lightsaber duelist. After gaining the many extra limbs and the enhanced equilibrium, his skills only became enhanced. He is also an accomplished hand-to-hand fighter, able to best many opponents, especially true now that his body is so heavy and agile. His true abilities lie in his Force telekinesis. With Force crush alone he can turn tanks into tin cans. His Force wave can be used to decimate armies or at least bowl them over for a long enough time for his own armies to overrun them. Darth Necron can feed off of the fear and anguish, using it to give himself more power. He was once skilled in Force lightning, though now that his limbs are entirely cybernetic, he cannot utilize it. Force lightning requires organic limbs to use.

Fighting Style: As a usual style, Necron wields his blades in a brutal mixture of Jarā€™Kai, Juyo, Ataru, and Djem So. Due to his droid body, he utilizes its servos and magnetic feet instead of the Force to fuel his impressive leaps and spins during swordplay, which does not tire the body as quickly as a human Jedi would. By developing a seemingly unconnected and staccato rhythm like a Juyo practitioner, he could off-balance his foe by utilizing the chaotic styling. Due to his tremendously powerful body, his Djem So attacks could easily overpower a human foe. If pushed to the limit, Necron will reveal his secret arms and the lightsabers hidden within, often catching foes by surprise with a combination of his revealing the third and fourth arms and the activation and extension of the dual-phase lightsaber.

Equipment, Ships, and Allies:
Six lightsabers: Lava, viridian, red, black, blue, and purple
Only the black, viridian, lava, and purple sabers are ever used. The black saber is a curved-hilt lightsaber, while the viridian saber is a dual-phase saber. The black saber and the lava crystal saber are used when in two-armed form. The others come into play with his second set of arms are revealed. Each lightsaber blade is 1.3 meters in length. The dual-phase lightsaber could extend to double the original length at 2.6 meters. The lava blade creates lava itself for a blade due to the extreme heat. Lava itself sometimes dripped and splashed out of the blade itself, which the self-titled Darth uses to his advantage. Selwyn did not have these as a Jedi, only coming across them after departing.
