Murder Ultimate: +New Sign-Up Thread

Welcome to our very first “Murder Ultimate” roleplaying event! Originally, the title 'Murder' started from a Garry's Mod gamemode, since then I've advanced it into a full-fledged roleplaying game involving characters from many different mediums and universes. It's an EU of an RP community known as 'Murder' - so same lore, same universe(s), but different storyline.

ROLES & RULES:


Murder is traditional-- the object of the game is for the players to vote out the Traitors before they eliminate everyone. There will be a total of three to four traitors per Murder Ultimate event, which lasts approximately a month or shorter, depending on how fast the players discover all traitors involved. All games are structured and coordinated by a non-player host or pair of hosts.

The Host: The Game Master has ultimate discretion over Murder Ultimate's rules, how it is intended to be played, and where the course of the story goes. All correspondence regarding roles is to be done through the host via Private Message, and any questions regarding the game itself should be done the same way. There will also be a Murder Ultimate Discussion Thread to field group discussions, but within a game, it's always best to speak to the host personally.

The Traitors: Three people among the group have been chosen in secret to work as a team and eliminate the other players. Each round, the Traitors will choose a target for elimination along with a method that is Private Messaged to the host. The Traitors win Murder Ultimate if all other players are eliminated.

Everyone Else: If the player do not have a role, they simply must stay alive and vote out the Traitors. All players, including ones with roles, can cast a single vote to banish a suspected Traitor per round, and if necessary, change that vote once per round. Best of luck!

STRATEGIES & TACTICS:


The Traitors collectively choose to kill one player every round. All other players' only responsibility is to attempt to vote out (or 'banish') who they think is a Traitor every round. Anonymity is the greatest power Traitors have... exposing them could spell their doom in the next round!

A player character MUST vote 2 out of every 3 rounds. A player may also change their vote once per round. If any player fails to meet this requirement of gameplay, their character is eliminated for 'inactivity'.

It is important that players do not communicate outside of the game regarding voting choices, innocence and guilt, kill choices, and any and all things related to the strategic element of the Game. Obviously, with the nature of the Private Messages and extra-Forumotion means of communication, hosts cannot enforce this. The Honor Code has served us well with very scarce incidences, and everyone can play honestly. Remember, it's just a game! The only rewards given out are for good roleplaying and having fun, not winning. Offenders, if caught, will be completely and irrevocably removed from Murder.

Sin City, The Gambling Capital of the World, home to the beautiful Mojave Desert oasis, and ultimate adult tourist attraction. The city is a wonder upon the world – capable of awarding some lucky soul untold riches or bankrupting the not-so-lucky. Gambling, sex, and violence enthrall every corner, every street, and every avenue owned by some wealthy bastard with a bank slip and gun-totting bodyguards.

However, tonight that all changes.

Reports of spontaneous acts of violence emerge from CNN, ABC, all broadcasting networks across the United States. The perpetrators sport crimson cross-shaped rashes across their faces, causing needless bedlam and chaos fueled by an insatiable blood lust. A reporter speaks on the matter, oftentimes referring to the victims as 'The Crossed.' Well, you think, at least Vega-

Boom.

“Mayday! Mayday!”

You look up into the brilliant night sky, a blazing Boeing 747 soars with a deafening screech, little figures, people, fall from the aircraft, as if thrown off by someone... or something. The massive machine shakily plunges down moments before colliding into the Stratosphere Hotel Casino, exploding in a radiant flash, blowing the aircraft apart in a spray of shrapnel and flame – shortly before the Stratosphere tower pummeled down, smashing into an array of cars below.

The United States government intervenes, sending the best of the best: The BSAA or Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance, capable of pulverizing the worst menace society has to offer... but are they? The brilliant flashes of gunfire, smoke, explosions, and bodies now fill the once vibrant streets of Las Vegas.

And alas, you're stuck here (for now), no matter by freak multidimensional incident, or via intentional vacation trip. A voice beckons you from the other side of the street, hailing from the Museum of Natural History: Military, guessing by his appearance, armed with an 9mm Berreta handgun, his tag reads “Leon S. Kennedy, D.S.O. Field Agent.”

Roles & Rules:


- You and your group of newly found friends must survive this apocalypse. Trapped. Alone, in a sense. And fighting for your life. Along the way, you will cross into various other characters or organizations from fictional universes: The Walking Dead, Resident Evil, you name it.

- Depending on the size of the Murder event, 3 to 4 traitors will be selected, working under the Umbrella Corporation as secret agents.

- If a traitor is discovered, they are at the mercy of the players. Want to use your ex-traitor as bait? Have at it. Kill him or her? Done. Or perhaps you'll let them go. Stranger things have occurred in Murder. If a Traitor is caught, he or she will be discovered via Umbrella Corporation I.D., murder weapons, or whatever the traitor deems necessary if they are voted out.

- Your character must be either a street level human or humanoid or "tier 2" powered character (ie. Wolverine, Captain America, Albert Wesker). They can't have god-like power, or else they'd be capable of single-handedly destroying the Crossed themselves.

Key Features:


- Fully Interactive Environment: This Murder event is held in a semi-realistic world. So you'll need things like weaponry, med-kits, maps, or interesting trinkets that could potentially save your ass and those of your compatriots. You can also discover hidden doors, keys, vehicles, and other items to help in your journey.

- The “2:1:2” cycle: For the sake of interactivity, voting cycles will be held in a “2:1:2” manner. For example, the first round occurs, you have two days to vote, the next round occurs, one day to vote, then two afterward, and so on and so forth.

- Choose Your Own Adventure: Given the survival aspect of Crossed, players will be able given a major decision after each round. This will occur in conjunction with voting rounds. For example, let's say you discover a map leading across the continental United States. You and your compatriots will be given decisions on your next method of action. So, A.) There's a train a half mile away, utilize it and travel to Macon, Georgia. B.) An ensemble of old school buses lay dormant in a partially destroyed high school. It appears to be in a working state. Use it and travel North. C.) Use the buses to travel South.

All official decisions by the player must be bolded or highlighted in the same aspect you choose a traitor.

- Boss/horde battles: Once every few hours, the Crossed or hostile entity will discover the players. You will be given a chance to struggle, fight, or dominate the enemy.

Sign-ups are approximately 1-2 weeks long to accommodate players for RL situations.

Attributes: Despite Jiro's age, he remains quite agile, and seems to have unusually high stamina. This may be because of the days Jiro spent in the Yakuza, throughout his entire life. He also seems to be an excellent swordsman...and it has been said that he could slice a man clean in half, without any trouble. Though Jiro prefers to remain up close and personal with his opponents, he will use ranged weapons if needed.

However, Jiro is only human. He is effected by stamina loss, bleeding, wounds, sickness, etc...

Personality: (Background)

Jiro was born in Japan during the 1960s to a Japanese seamstress and a U.S. Navy Lieutenant stationed in Sasebo. Life was hard, as shortly after his father's fleet was removed from Japanese waters, his mother left him as well. Abandoned and left to his own devices, the resourceful Jiro knew there was only one "family" for him, the Bōsōzoku.

After years of crime and violence, Jiro caught the interest of the Yakuza clan ruling Osaka and purportedly became one of their most outstanding members, following the oyabun's orders to the letter. All except for one.

He had a brief but secret romantic affair with the oyabun's daughter, Yoshimi, who bore him a son, whom he named Kento. Despite Jiro's best efforts to keep their relationship undiscovered, his clan eventually found out, and on one night raided his home, killing his lover and escaping with his child. Betrayed and left for dead, Jiro himself was arrested and put behind bars for twenty years.

As he finished his sentence, Jiro sought to reclaim honor for his late wife and find his lost son. As he killed his former brothers one after one, he finally found a way to track down what he was looking for, and the one man who could help him - Bain.

Attributes: Jacks skills includes, hacking computers and advance knowledge of terminals(His dimensions computers) He can repair and maintain most weapons and armor, and he's an excellent shot with both energy, and conventional weapon's. He has poor stealth skills, and big firearms are not his strong suit. He can use melee weapons, but only when he has too. His skills with medicine is trivial, knowing only basic knowledge. He is also very good at lockpicking, and is able to crack most locks.

Personality (Background)
The Lone Wanderer lived in a enormous underground bunker know as Vault 101 without incident for nineteen years, but in 2277, 200 years after a nuclear war between the Chinese and the Americans, His dad, James disappeared without any explanation. The young Lone Wanderer, with the help of his childhood friend, Amata Almodovar, he leaves the safety of the Vault to look for James in the ruins of Washington, D.C. In order to find him, the Lone Wanderer travels across the wasteland searching for clues. Along the way, he has disarmed Megaton's atomic bomb and helped collect dangerous data for Moira Brown's Wasteland Survival Guide, among many other heroic activities or rumors thereof.

After James is found, Project Purity (a idea that, if it worked, could give free, clean water to the entirety of the Capital Wasteland) can be put back on track, but the reunion is cut short when the Enclave (the remaining force of the American government) commander, Augustus Autumn, arrives demanding control of the project. James, unwilling to allow the project to fall into the hands of the Enclave, sacrifices himself by filling the control chamber with deadly amounts of radiation, hoping to kill Colonel Autumn and the other soldiers in the process. The colonel manages to survive, however.

After fleeing from the ruins of the Jefferson Memorial, the Wanderer takes refuge within the ruins of the pentagon, but is renamed as the Citadel and enlists the help of the Brotherhood of Steel to retrieve a G.E.C.K.(a ultra powerful terraforming device capable of creating life from complete lifelessness) from Vault 87 for the restoration of Project Purity. After retrieving this G.E.C.K., the Wanderer is captured by Colonel Autumn and taken to Raven Rock. There, John Henry Eden presents the Wanderer with a canister of modified FEV (Forced Evolutionary Virus) for insertion into Project Purity, which would poison any mutated creature drinking the purified water(including friendly mutants). The Wanderer refuses and escapes, sabotaging Raven Rock in the process. After finally stopping Colonel Autumn, the Wanderer and Sentinel Lyons (a leader in the Brotherhood of Steel) are faced with the dilemma of who would re-enter the radiation-flooded Memorial and activate the purifier. Once this decision is made, the Wasteland is finally given the greatest gift of all: a constant source of clean water. But at the price of the lone wander, who is now in anther dimension, filled with a new set of raiders.....The Crossed

Peak human attributes and master martial artist - Wei is a master martial artist, demonstrating knowledge of taekwondo, kung fu, possibly Jeet Kune Do, and more, able to take on many men at once with just his bare hands and brutal mentality. Being a trained police officer, he is quite fit as a fiddle, swift enough to deftly parkour through his obstacles, and able to outrun most normal humans.

Expert marksman - Self-explanatory. He is highly trained and skilled with a whole bunch of firearms, including pistols, machine guns, shotguns, and more.

Talented driver - Also self-explanatory.

Personality

Being raised in both Hong Kong and America has given Shen an immense familiarity and understanding of both cultures, hence is able to interact with and infiltrate gangs with excellent natural ability. Because Shen moved to the United States as an adolescent and has never had a strong father figure or male role-model, his sense of identity and self is more capable to adapt and influence giving him with certain "chameleon-like" tendencies that serve him well when infiltrating a criminal organization.

However due to prolonged stress of undercover work and Shen's own personal tendencies, his superiors suspected that his allegiance to the police force was easily capable of changing. As a result, Shen was often a subject of intense psychological reviewing and internal affairs investigations. Furthermore it was believed that Shen was motivated into becoming an officer by vengeance against the triads for the death of his sister, hence he was also viewed as a risk factor and unsuitable for undercover work.

Shen is a highly intelligent, self-aware, and generally a balanced individual. While undercover Shen posses a strong emotional fortitude against prolonged and extreme periods of stress and exhaustion, however he does have a disposition for using excessive violence and can be greatly motivated by personal vendettas. Shen has a clear understanding of the risks involved in long-term undercover work and is driven by a strong moral system, and sense of loyalty, not only to the police force and duty, but to his friends, some of which are triads, and family.

Posting Speed

On weekdays, generally available anytime around 3-11 PM 'cause of classes, unless something else comes up, which it likely will. No holds barred for weekends though.
And I mean that in the most sexually painful way possible.

Age: (looks- 25) 125

Attributes: Since she is a vampire she has keen senses , she trained herself to be a sharp shooter and use other weapons such as a katana at a young age. She can also eves drop on people with out the enemy noticing that she is doing so. She is strong advisory during night time raids and missions.

Weaknesses- She is not as strong as she normally is at night during the day, she can move around during the day. But she is not as quick then she is during the evening she has to where sun glasses and stick to the shade , but she does. Not heal as. Fast during the day then she can at night.

Skills:
She is handy with a gun or any other weapon, she favors the Katana and can make a clean kill pretty quickly. She is also a person you want to have on your side to figure out what the enemy is talking about.


Personality- She has a sharp sense of wit when , she is fighting she really gets into the action and makes sure that the rest of her people are safe before she moves on to the next problem, she can be blunt some times but she means well she never wants to hurt. Her team mates feelings but her choice of words is a bit crass.
