Wassup? Not a great deal right now, except disappointment in myself for not noticing this thread earlier, and further disappointment in the fact no one else has bothered to say hi. But then, I am in a stereotypically British cynical mood right now.

But! Seeing a new member to the forum has cheered me up no end. Sooo... Welcome to RPGateway!

So, what are we about, eh? -=Thinks to himself "I SHOULD know that answer"=- Umm... Uh... AH! There we are. i found it. Community. That's what we're about. Too many RPing sites focus on the role play alone, and a community can, in no way, grow from a singular common denominator.

That is exactly why you will find the 'Community' section on the forum. There you will find... well, what won't you find? Not a lot. Except obviously inappropriate stuff. Gaming discussions, life discussions, Martial Arts, technology, randomness. And we can't possibly forget about Eric (Remaeus, the co-owner of the site)) and his love of Linux. He will honestly post at every oppurtunity as a means of promoting the thing. If it wasn't free, I'd think he worked for 'em.

And, of course, you will the find the Role Playing section. No need to explain what that is all about, I am sure. Well, all RPs are nicely categorised, making it easy for you to find what you're looking for. So, go jump in and ejoy. That is the general rule of thumb: see an RP you like the look of, just post in it, and join in. However, a few may require a character profile, or a request to join headed towards the game master. Be sure to check.

And, as mentioned, we aren't like other sites. Another reason why not is our staff. Much shuddering at the thought of forum admins and moderators, I know. BUt, no need to shudder here. The staff are all brilliant, friendly approachable, and helpful. And no, I'm not getting paid to do that; and as you can see, I'm not staff either.

Seriously though, you have any questions, comments suggestions, head them towards the staff, and they will do all they are capable of doing as demi-gods to help you. And, questions etc can be, and I am sure in my speaking for EVERYONE here, aimed at any of our members, who will help you out.

Of course though, we aren't just a forum, we have a chat that can be found either by the link at the top of the page or here.

A fair few RPs happen there, along with TOTALLY random discussions, and occasional insanity. But aren't all chats the same, eh?

So, any further questions, I am quite happy to answer them, or offer my assistance as best i can. You can get me via PM, or I am on the chat and active about 75% of the time, so come give me a shout there. I look forward to seeing you around.
