Thinking about starting a roleplay, but don't have the idea completely finished? Post it here, not in the main OOC forum!

New Multiverse Faction?

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Tristan_cross on Thu Feb 17, 2011 12:24 am

I'm looking to start a new faction, but I'm not completely finished with the details on said faction. Also if I'm going to make it official I'll need at lest 4 more members. With that said, if anyone has any ideas about it, post it here! Same if you're thinking of joining the faction. The faction is named Democratic Coalition, and already has a emblem (Subject to change)Image

Current information on the Democratic Coalition, or DC, is:

The Democratic Coalition controls a total of 100 worlds in the Milkyway and other Galaxies around the universe and a handle full of planets in the Multiverse (not Including Terra, yet).

The DC Battle Station or God's Flower, gained its name for the six massive hanger bags that sit on the bottom of the station, from these hangers you'll find the Mecca Corp, and Low Orbital Tactical Assault Specialist, or LOTAS. God's Flower orbits the planet, Terra, and houses enough battle ships to fill Wing City three times over. So, it goes without saying that you could fit Wing City in this station at lest 6 times over.

God's Flower is basically a space fortress, the amount of Firepower it has alone equals half the strength of the DC Navy. Some of the weapons it has are designed for a specific type of combat. These weapons are: The Space to Ground Artillery Cannons or SGAC, which are high powered anti-particle cannons; Vulcan Mini-guns, for defense; Particle Cannons; The Anti-ship Missile bays; and it’s pride and joy the Anti-material Beam Cannons. When the station is under attack the six hangers can close up forming an impregnable shell with a Anti-particle shield rendering projectiles useless. It’s ion charged armor makes the use of Anti-Particle cannons useless for a limited time.

The DC has five branches to its force; the first is the LODAS or Low Orbital Drop Assault Specialist. LODAS forces can be found on God’s Flower as well as every ship in the DC fleet, it is also the hardest branch to join due to its intense training regimen. The second branch is the Space Marine Corps, which is station at their Headquarters in Wing City and on the main body of God’s Flower. Third and newest branch is the Mecca Corps. The fourth branch is the DC’s Navy, which consists of over 9 million ships making it the larges branch in the DC. The last and smallest branch of the DC is the Exploration Corps, dedicated to the exploration of space.

standard weapons of the DC are all interchangeable to use either Projectile rounds or anti-particle rounds or Plasma rounds, and come in different shapes and sizes. These weapons are fully customizable to fit the needs of the soldiers and their missions.
Weapons of the DC are as follows:

Image
SKX-7 is a long range, anti-personal, sniper rifle used mostly by the SMC Force Recon division. Although the LODAS uses this rifles for recon as well.

Image
TK-42 Assault Rifle, is used mostly by LODAS soldiers for it's quick reload time, high-rate of fire, and Light weight. Although SMC soldiers can request to carry them.

Image
RA-29 is a Suppressed weapon used by DC Special Forces turning Night raids. These weapon is light weight with a semi-auto setting, and low-rate of fire making it prefect for conducting raids on buildings and enemy camps during nightfall.

Image
G282 Light Machine Gun. Despite its appearance the G282 is used by SMC and LODAS soldiers for support fire during missions, assaulting or defending.

Image
MP9 Sub Machine Gun. This gun is used solely by Elite LODAS Operatives for it's compacted design and extremely high-rate of fire. The weight of this gun makes it easy to dual wield and hide for surprise attacks. Thought Special Forces division in the SMC has requested it's use.

Image
K95 .50 cal Handgun is designed for use against armored targets with primary weapon fails, jams, or ammo runs out.

Image
EX-7 Gun Blade is the prototype for the SMC's elite division know as the Gun Blade Corps.

Image
S-43 Gun Blade is an older model gun blade and is widely used in the GBC

Standard Issued Combat Knife of ALL soldiers in the DC.

The pride and joy of the DC Navy is it's Warships. A single warship has the firepower to make the entire Convent fleet from Halo space dust.
Warship specs are as follows:

Primary weapons, are 4 anti-martial beam cannons (AMBC), 4 dark matter beam cannons (DMBC), and 6 Multi-purpose 105mm Gatling guns.
Secondary Weapons, are mostly defensive weapons like the 200 plus 20mm Mini-guns designed for shooting down missiles and small fighters. It also come equipped with two SGAC's or Space to Ground Artillery Cannons.

There are, however, four exceptions to this. These four ships were built at the peak of the DC's rise, and are as Follows:

DC Atlas: Designed to be a Invasion carrier, the Atlas has a slow speed but high maneuverability. The shielding on the ship is twice the strength of a standard warship in the DC fleet making it possible to re-enter an atmosphere and the engines produce three times the thrust making take-off a breeze. The Atlas has nearly double the number of AMBC, DMBC, and 105mm Gatling guns as a standard warship. The Atlas takes pride in being the first of the four ships built to carry 4 SGAC's.

DC Dante: Designed for enter-planetary combat with high speed, and maneuverability making it ideal for heading off an invasion army. The Dante doesn't have nearly the same the number of AMBC, DMBC, and 105mm Gatling guns as the Atlas, but still has the same number of SGAC's. The Dante was the second ship produced like this.

DC Gauntlet: Designed for exploration the Gauntlet is used as a defensive vessel during war-time. Carrying the same load-out as the Atlas, the Gauntlet makes for a very affective guardian.

DC Harbinger: Designed to be a Heavy Cruiser, the Harbinger does just what its name dictates, harbinger of death. It has the same load-out as the Dante but uses a larger shield generator and is less speed and maneuverability.

The Low Orbital Drop Assault Specialist or LODAS utilize a unique Cybernetic Armor with a Nero-link system known as Cyber-link. Cyber-link combines the raw power of Cybernetic enhancements with nano technology increasing the reaction times of all LODAS soldiers, it also increases the pain threshold allowing them to receive broken bones and continue to fight. The Nano tech in the armor increases their over all endurance meaning they can run faster for long and fight harder for long, even fall from great heights and survive, which is great for dropping into a combat zone. The shielding of this armor is unique like the armor itself. Using an advanced form of Anti-Particle Shielding it's able to render projectile weapons useless as well as negate some effects of Anti-Particle and Plasma weapons, this makes the LODAS among the toughest soldiers in the Multiverse. The armor plating on the Cyber-link armor is made for a rare metal only found in the Hydra system of the Andromeda Galaxy, and it smelted to be flexible, yet durable. The armor alone is strong enough to survive a free fall from low orbit but the occupant wouldn't, to counter this the under-layer of the suit has a shock absorbent gel that protects the occupant from impact.
Along with the armor LODAS soldiers have access to some of the more advanced weapons in the DC, such as Dark Matter weapons, or Anti-Material weapons. The training the LODAS undertakes was the topic of controversy in the Coalition Homeworlds for being inhuman and cruel. However the training is necessary for their line of work, being that they free fall from low orbit into a Combat zone or deep behind enemy lines. Due to the intestacy of their training very few actually make it in, making the LODAS the hardest branch of the DC to join.

The Space Marine Corps or SMC is the largest ground force in the DC, with the training less intense then the LODAS more people are prone to joining the SMC. SMC soldiers use basic body armor that is designed to stop both projectile and Plasma weapons, however it doesn't last for ever. The SMC is however home of the Gun Blade Corps which is quickly becoming the second larges force in the DC and soon may even become it's own Branch. Gun blade Technology is still new to the DC, much like the Mecca Corps, and is only used for defense of areas the DC deems "worth it".

The Mecca Corps is still new to the DC and operates mostly as Defensive units to protect large areas, like Wing City for example. There are, however, only two types of mechs in the Mecca Corps, the MK-33 Long Range Artillery Mecca, and the ML-31 Heavy Guns Mecca. Others are still in the experimental stages, and not due to see action anytime soon.

For Ariel and space combat the DC turns to it's Fighter Division. This division has 3 unique fighter ships and interceptors, these are as follow:

F-45 Razor; A light weight, agile, short range fighter that carries two 40mm Gatling guns with Plasma Cannons.

SF-37 Wraith; a high-speed, agile, short to medium range fighter with two Plasma Cannons and one anti-particle cannon, and also comes equipped with Stealth technology that can render the craft completely invisible.

EX-70 Striker; A high-speed, long range Interceptor utilizing a hyper-jump drive to travel long distances. The ship carries a load-out of two Plasma cannons, two 40mm Gatling guns, and a bomber bay carrying an experimental explosive called, a tech bomb. Tech bombs are like EMP's only they turn Technology into space dust. The Striker is used mostly by the EMSS for Hit-and-run Tactics due to his hyper-jump drive.

The Elite Mobile Strike Squadron, or EMSS, is a branch of the Navy situated primarily on the God's Flower.
Led by Darren Morgath, the EMSS specializes in stealth attacks and hit-and-run tactics, it also only has a few pilots, considering that the members of this elite squadron are hand picked out of the Navy's pilots by Darren himself, he only picks those with quick reflexes and quicker minds, and members of his team are allowed to act without his permission as they deem necessary. The independence of this unit is especially based around the fact that Darren puts himself in the most dangerous positions, and wants the group to function properly if he should fail.

It is the smallest group in the DC, but it is called only in the most dangerous of situations, when the Daemons fly, then enemies fall.
The numbers may be low, but this is almost an elite group, and most of them can function without their ships, Wraiths usually, and can work on land missions. Darren himself is a sniper of high quality, and most of the corp follow him in this regard, the ones that don't are trained as stealth troopers. The reasoning behind this is, to quote Darren, "If you get disabled in the atmosphere and are forced to make an emergency landing, it is best that you are able to function in enemy territory, survive behind lines until we can get you out." They primarily use the Wraith, but the most experienced members have their own custom ships, Darren especially so. He pilots the 'ShadowPride'.

The Gun Blade Corp or GBC is fairly new to the DC but has been used in the past when defending Coalition Homeworlds from invading forces. Though few in number they still outnumber the LODAS 10 to 1.

Every soldier in the DC must swear to a creed. This creed was created back before it was called the Democratic Coalition, and is as follows:

"My Honor is in my brethren.
My Duty is to the Coalition and it's cause.
My Commitment is to the preservation of the Coalition's Homeworlds, and the races that make them up.

I, (States his/her name), Hear by swear to defend the Coalition from threats both foreign and domestic. I will sacrifice all to save the masses. I will not hesitate under presser, nor will I bow down to my enemies. For the Future of the Coalition, and the honor of my family. Long Live The Coalition!"

I'm yet to finalise my character, but I'm poking my head into here anyway!
That's a nice array of weaponry, but considering you've not got the ships up yet, can I reserve the name 'Wraith' for the ship prefered by the EMSS?
Small, agile and equiped with Stealth capabilites preferably.
Verdant plains and cold dark night. I have nothing more but silence.
