I haven't wrote cooperatively with a group of fellow roleplayers in a while. This is mostly due to a busy schedule and lack of time needed to dedicate towards the great level of detail I like in a roleplay. Therefore, my only option is to devote what time I do have towards joining one of the roleplays on this site. Alas, I've found none to my liking, thus bringing me full circle. So here I am, writing this post, in search of a few good men and women to hopefully join me in my roleplaying chronicles.
The roleplay I have in mind is small, a group of five players total will due. However, if that limit is reached and one deemed qualified enough wishes to join? Then I will allow it. Roleplay genre will be Futuristic/Sci-Fi/Fantasy, set in an unknown galaxy on varying planets. Our characters can be whom or whatever we wish; no limits or restrictions, only our own imagination. All I ask: is that each character be substantially different from the next and to try to keep an even gender ratio (but I won't enforce the latter). Unfortunately... I don't have a plot, story-line to follow, nor do I plan to make it an aimless, character driven mass of posts. I would like for our journey to unfold via a narrative told by a traditional Game Master.
The role of the Game Master is to weave our player-character stories together, control the non-player aspects of the game, create environments in which we can interact, and solve any disputes. As players we will react to the surroundings and control only our characters. Needless to say, finding an experienced, skilled, and loyal Game Master is crucial to my roleplay's success and existence. I don't have the skills required for such a role, not to mention my selfish desire of wanting to be in the action. I also lack friends on this site and in life to take the mantle of Game Master, so any assistance in finding someone or interest in the position itself, is welcome.
When it’s all said and done, our characters will be thrown in random scenarios introduced to them in the form of jobs given to them by the one person they all take orders from, The Employer... or whatever ominous moniker their "Boss" has. Our characters can be of any relation we like: a well organized team, motley crew of adventurers, rag-tag band of mercenaries, indentured servants, or unique individuals, each with their own personal stake in the mission and reasons for being there. Their travels will take them all across the universe and put them in situations, such as:

Traversing lush, alien jungles in search of lost artifacts that could fetch them a fortune; shipwrecked, fighting for their lives against savage denizens; or carrying out corporation issued hunting contracts for the extermination of vicious wildlife.

Navigating the cold, empty outer reaches of space whilst escorting greedy merchants and their trade caravans through hostile territory; shooting it out with ruthless space pirates in light-speed, intergalactic dog fights; or answering distress beacons only to discover the ship's crew has become mutated monsters.

Plotting and planning the assassination of high value targets in the fast-paced, smog-filled, mega-cities; breaking into maximum-security prisons to free the justly or unjustly imprisoned; or fencing priceless objects on the black market after illegally acquiring them in a high-stakes heist.
Those exploits and many more will be possible within this roleplay. If it seems overly ambitious, it’s because it is. This games potential relies heavily on the talent of the Game Master. Player-Characters will be mere pawns on the chess board, expendable as well as interchangeable at any time.
As for players and their expectations... everyone must be of a literate level with the abilities of skilled writers and experienced roleplayers. This means you should be able to write a post with limited spelling/grammatical errors, no word walls, no god modding, and without doing anything else considered amateurish whilst staying within the rules of this site. You should be able to distinguish what makes a good post length without preset word count parameters. Lastly, you must know when to post. I won't require anyone to make a certain amount of posts in a day or week; do so when you are ready and required. Just be wary of bombing the thread and notify every one of extended absences. I understand shit happens; ergo I will not kick players or kill off characters, although a replacement may be found to keep the roster full.
Formally, there won't be a standard character application to follow or requirement of a written submission before permission is given to join the roleplay. I will make that decision based on the quality of character and player. Still, I do reserve the right to ask for examples of writing and certain information placed in a character skeleton, if I feel it is necessary. Anyway, if any of this intrigues you, please post your questions and/or suggestions here in the thread.
