Drifting to the Edge of Nowhere

NPC Roster

a part of “Drifting to the Edge of Nowhere”, a fictional universe by Jakuri-chan.

Between the lines of dreams and reality, the misadventures of six individuals might just be far more important than any of them could ever conceive. Even if things seem to come together by chance, could there be more at work?

[OOC] NPC Roster

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Jakuri-chan on Wed Apr 04, 2012 6:28 pm

Okay, so basically, I decided to add this because I figured that people would be bringing in some NPC characters throughout the roleplay, some of them will become more prominent I imagine, enough so that a little info ought to be given about them, perhaps not as much as a real character app.

The Unseelie King

Gender: Male
Nickname(s): Several, a few of the more well known ones are as follows: The Duke of decay, lord of dead leaves, the-voice-on-the-Autumn-wind, dread wood's shadow, and the thorn king are are just a few of the many names and tittles he has been labeled with over the ages.
Age: Unknown

Height: N/A
Weight: N/A

Personality: His personality is hard to pin down as he has been known to change his mannerisms and how he acts depending own who he speaks with and what form he takes when he interacts with them. Sometimes he appears as a cruel hunched beast in the forest, or a seemingly kind and innocent old man out on the trail. What can be held as part of his personality is that he is very secretive, and some cases even deceitful. He is a being that knows much, and tells very little, and always one must guess whether or not he has told the truth.

Personal History:

A passage from On the Fey, By Broderick Relator

The unseelie king

Like the other members of the Four Fey Monarchs, the Unseelie kings position in the the world of the fey is a bit of a mystery. He is mostly associated with the season of Autumn and is apparently most active during that time. He's commonly referred to be the one most closely affiliated with the concepts of aging and fear within the fey courts. His exact age is unknown as, like the other fey monarchs, the exact record of his first appearance is up for debate.

The Unseelie king has often been accused of being the perpetrator behind certain misfortunes as their have been tales of curses he placed upon mortals. One particular example that jumps to mind is the tale of an Earl that disrespected the old faiths of a tribe that lived within his fief by burning down a sacred grove. Supposedly thirteen nights later a strange man, his appearance shrouded by a hooded clock covered in throned twigs and dead leaves, appeared in the Earls court. He warned the Earl that he would pay for the desecration of the grove in the blood of his heirs. The man vanished before the Earl could have his guards apprehend him. The strangers words went unheeded until a year later when the first of his sons caught a terrible sickness. Despite the best attempts of the court healer the man died within a month, much to the Earls sorrow. From then on each year on of the Earls children or grandchildren would die in a series of events, wither through accidents, illness or suicide. Eventually the Earls court was abandoned, declared a cursed place, and the Earl was left to grow old alone in his castle.
