This is mine, FaddedFox and pandacorn's planning thread.

Alright, now we can plan without destroying for everyone that still seeks attention in the Interest Checks section. So what we have decided by now is that we all are going to have two characters each, one hunted and one hunting. Of course we could manipulate this a little, not everyone need to be hunted or hunters. They could be involved some other way.

Now to the actual planning - the story. So do we want it to be high fantasy with a lot of magic and such things or is that actually just a thing in the background? I can picture the universe both ways.

Right now I'm thinking about something not only involving witch hunts but slave trades as well, I don't know. My head is pretty confusing.

I was imagining it with an equal blend of fantasy and medieval themes.

I think in prior years, magic was just a background thing. People knew of its existence, but it was often kept on the down low. Black market sort of stuff maybe. Due to magic and any non human creature being looked down upon and seen as inherently monstrous. Only recently have these occurrences begun to come out of the woodwork. Magical beings emerging into everyday life as a declaration that they deserve to be treated similarly as normal humans. The everyday common folk would not like that I assume and maybe that is when an ongoing battle between the two sides began.

How does that sound just as a bit of background? Any other ideas?

With magical beings could it be other things than just magic user's? If that's the case I do have a suggestion... It was brought to me by the mentioning of the Black market.

Basically I would like to bring in a third and even lower being, lower than magic users. And that is their creations/summoning’s. Basically, that the strongest ones can summon creatures to obey their or other's will. I guess why they do that is because they have some sort of "on" and "off" buttons, probably phrases that hypnotize them.

This is just me forming some sort of idea, but if there exists a Black market it doesn't have to be founded by magic users and their underground community. Even though I can see them hiding from the community. But I see the Black market more like a place where illegal dealings takes place, where rich and high status people trade. And I can picture the summoned creatures being what gets traded illegally.

I'm very tired right now since I'm just about to head over to my bed so I apologize if the message is confusing.

No, no it all sounds really good. :)

With this talk of a black market, my mind went right to dragons. No I am not thinking gigantic dragons. I think the dragons would reach about the size of a boxer dog, but longer since the dragon's neck and tail are longer than a boxer's. I think the dragons are intelligent and can communicate with each other and mentally with magical users. Magic users could summon dragons and use their magical strength to boost their own spells, little fire breathing guardians and messengers. Waddya guys think?
