Welcome to Role-Play Gateway! Be sure to check out the rules when you have a chance. There are only five, so it shouldn't be too overwhelming. Some other great spots to check out is the Role Play Academy if you ever need any help or have any writing-related questions. Furthermore the help forum is also a great place to start for questions regarding the site itself. Now if you are looking for role-play, which obviously you are, just check out the tab at the very top of the site. It should be the second link to the left that says roleplay.

We use a very unique tab system to organize our role-plays, so please do check it out! The chat bar at the bottom of the site is also a great tool! Sadly I'm not much a fan for doing role-plays based on anime or etc; I always like to stick to something original. Nonetheless, complex ideas are my favorite. I like role-plays with a lot of depth and mystery/intrigue tied to them. Deeper meaning sort of stuff. Always fun to write and try to almost tell a story within the story. But that's just me.

I agree, it's not just you. Those are the most entertaining types of role play in my opinion. Hopefully I can stumble upon one that meets some of those criteria in my search. That term "Story within a story" is a very good way to describe it. I'm happy there are people that think like that here. Makes me more certain I made a good choice in stopping at this site.
