Hello.
I have a small question: I read the guides, and there was something that I'd like clearing up.
Is it allowed to have characters RP a simple conversation? Example: Player A's character wants to talk to Player B's character. Can Player A write the whole conversation, thus avoiding the need to spend a while waiting for 5-6 one-line posts just to have two characters say, "Hi, how are you?" to each other? Or is this also considered bad form?
I come from an online RPG background where "puppeting" was strongly encouraged (within reason; ie, no killing, injuring or making drastic changes for another player's character without permission. Basically, all that was allowed was to have a conversation, providing you didn't make the other player's character act OOC and changed it at their request if you did). For me, this was the best way to roleplay as it added extra cohesion, a level of unpredictability and generally improved the RP experience.
So I guess my question is, can I run my universe along those lines? I'm a little worried after reading the guides that nobody will try it, or that I'll be branded a bad RP-er and driven away with my bindle stick over my shoulder to the sound of derisive kazoos.
Please don't misunderstand me: the above post should absolutely not be taken as a criticism of this site. If puppeting conversations is seen as a bad thing here, then I'll respect the rules 100% and set up my universe accordingly :) I just wanted to double-check before I got started on the rules for my universe.
