Tips: 0.00 INK Postby FaddedFox on Sun Nov 15, 2015 7:28 pm

This is a list of the all the races and classes that will be used for LAIOS. The characteristics and bonuses of each will also be explained here.
I make polymer and apoxie sculptures (mostly dragons) and I take commissions. Interested? Take a peak at my shop:https://www.etsy.com/shop/ClayLeafCreations

The first race allowed in Laios is humans. Humans are extremely adaptable and can find a way to gain the upper-hand in any situation. Humans are less magically inclined but are dexterous. They start out with more stamina than the other races which increases carrying capacity. They are more suited for more physical fighting styles such as warriors, dual-sword wielders, and defenders. Occupations most suitable for humans: Blacksmith, merchant, traders, cooks, clothing merchants.

The second race to choose from is the Elves. The elves have heightened sight and hearing and are more magically inclined than their human counterparts. They are best suited for archery, magic, and dual-sword classes. They are light on their feet and aren't easy to sneak up on. Occupations most suitable for elves: Enchanting, information broker, spy, thief, clothing merchants.

Next there are the demons. This race is highly resistant to magic, starting at 40% magic resistance. Demons are all about speed and being quick on your feet. The bonus of this race is that demons always come with wings allowing the player to fly. Demons tend to be solo players most suitable to the mage class, scythe, rapier, or dual sword weapons. The Defender class is one to be avoided since to be a defender, the character must use a shield which weighs down the demon considerably. They also start with a lower stamina than the other races, allowing for less storage without modification. The best occupations for demons are information brokers, spy, assassin, and traders.

ImageImage Lastly, there is the Beast class. The beast class is fully customization like the other races and the player can pick any animal they would like to have physical attributes of. They can go full furry or only have a few characteristics depending on their own style. All beasts have heightened senses and are physically stronger than the other races. This class is also the most in tune with nature and emotions, leading them to be good healers. They tend to use short style weapons like daggers or go hand-to-hand combat style. The usual class Beasts obtain are Beast Tamer, priest, and defender. Occupations most suitable: blacksmith, front line combat, and healers.

ImageImageDefenders always use a sword and shield. They are good for front lines and can take quite the beating. Defenders have the highest defense stat of the classes. They also start with the more stamina than the other classes and can carry a lot of items with them. They are best used to protect weaker players or create a barrier between the mages and up close and personal fighters.

Image

ImageImageThe dual blade is one of the fastest classes in LAIOS. They range from knives to short swords and two thin blades. They start with a slight disadvantage in defense considering they have two blades to hold. They are known for their rapid attacks and combo skills. They can leave a powerful finish. They are often seen as solo players as the one classes that can stand on its own. They make excellent mercenaries. They are also at a disadvantage if kept at a distance.

Image

ImageImageThe scythe class has the largest weapon in LAIOS, capable of damaging multiple enemies and are best utilized when attacking a group of monsters rather than one on one. The scythe is known for its powerful moves but it has a small lag when powering up which is susceptible to disruption. Scythe users also start with a lower defense stat considering they require both hands to use the scythe.

Image

ImageImageSwordsmen are known as the fighters and are often on the front lines. They have the disadvantage of not having a shield but their free arm is capable of pull up items in the middle of combat quickly and is quite useful in a pinch. They have a higher beginning offense stat and a slightly higher stamina that the other classes though it is lower than the Defender stat. A combination of Defenders and Swordsmen would be quite the duo.

Image

ImageImageMages have the highest magical affinity and the most mp to start off with. They are also generally the 'squishy' of most games because they have a lower physical offense and are at a disadvantage with a lower defense stat. They work best with a team where they can power up spells without being interrupted. Distance is the name of the game. If a mage is allowed the time to unleash their offensive spells, they have a massive magical attack base and can hit multiple enemies and slowing them down.

Image

ImageImagePriests also start with a high magical affinity and mp range. They also lack defense like the mages but they also lack powerful magic attacks. Priests are never seen soloing since they honestly have the greatest advantage in a party. They are capable of healing themselves and their party members. They also have the unique ability to revive a player. They also have the ability to cure afflictions such as sleep and poison that have been attached to their party members.

Image

ImageImageBeast tamers are the only class that can acquire a pet in the game. Depending on the monster level and character level, a beast tamer can manipulate the monster into siding with the player. The monster then becomes the tamer's companion, able to heal the player a small percentage after every 5 seconds and actually assist in attacking. If the pet dies, the player can revive it after the fight but after each death, the pet will like the tamer less and less until it becomes feral and leaves the player. A tamer can only have one pet at a time.

Image

ImageImagePlayers in the Hand to Hand combat have a higher physical attack and defense stat that the other classes. The Beast race is generally hand to hand since they have the added advantage of using claws in their combat. Hand to hand has the disadvantage of being highly susceptible to magic attacks and have the lowest magical defense. They are best fighting one on one rather than multiple enemies.

Image

ImageImageArchers are known for their long range attacks and are often used to attract monsters or kill them off one by one without detection. They have the highest accuracy of all the classes and Hidden abilities. They are the ones that are always overlooked in the shadows. They also have rapid attacks, able to kill or hit enemies in succession. They have a lower defense than most of the other races however. They are at a disadvantage in close range battles, unable to draw their bow fully if being attacked which dramatically reduces attack power. Archers are also good solo players if their skill is high enough since that would allow them to kill enemies before they get close.
