Nori doesn’t really know Kat that well, but for what she can see, they most likely would be at a struggle with each other. Nori and Kat are two similar for comfort. Kat’s ways seem to put her on edge as Nori knows more than what Kat thinks. Kat’s ignorance and big ego is a big shock for Nori. When discussing things, they seem to always end up with a clash of opinions. Will this Northern land experienced find it in her heart to appreciate and respect this Southern leader?

Can this land experienced mermaid teach the ways of the land people world to this land fascinated mermaid?

Ophelia is a friend in Nora’s eyes. She was the first Mako Mermaid around her age that she met and she is acquainted with. In all, Nora and Ophelia aren’t very close, but if O needed help, Nori will always try to help her out, but deep inside she feels that she is stronger than O. Sometimes the friendship may get a bit out of hand. Nora will bicker with Ophelia because of O’s mood swings, and because of Nori’s culture shock. How will this "weaker" mermaid put up with this culture shocked mermaid?

Nora thinks that Amber and her could get along. Nora may be able to pass as "sort of normal" in front of her. Nori actually really likes Ambers way of thinking. The only think Nori seems uneasy with Amber about is Amber and Henry, she knows she shouldn't interfere in their relationship, but a part of Nori wants to. The way Amber acts around Henry gets Nori to jealously call her a "Flying Fox" under Nori's breath. But for the most part they seem like they could be friends.

Nora at first was very distrusting about Henry, but once she got to know his way of life, she began to admire it. Nori seems to understand that Amber likes him and he likes Amber, but he also gives ideas that he likes Nori, and a small part of her like shim back. What is one girl to do? She doesn't understand what it is about him that attracts her too, but she hasn't grown to like the feeling between the two of them yet. The common ground between both of their stories keeps her hooked. He, at least in some part, understands what is like to live in another part of the world for most of one's childhood, and then suddenly move away. This keeps Nora interested in his ways. Will Henry be able to change Nori's mind about merman and land boys?

Nina and Ophelia are the best of friends! Knowing each other ever since they were little. Nina is a best friend, mentor, and twin to Ophelia. With both of them being "weaker" mermaids, O greatly looks up to Nina and wishes to grow and become stronger the same way Nina did. They understand each others struggles, and their similar personalities help them work together without conflict. O knows that Nina is the only one who can put up with her constant moodiness, and they just understand each other.

Ophelia was the first Mako Mermaid to get to know Nora. She doesn't necessarily look up to Nora, but is so intrigued by her stories of living in the Northern Seas and in the Han River. Nora seems to given much-unneeded help to O, which O doesn't understand. Ophelia is doing her best to try to get Nora to see things the Mako way, but that isn't the easiest thing to do.
