There was a meadow set just outside the village of Owego, New York —a quaint little place for the children of town to play. It was a whimsical little slice of nature close enough to hear the grand tower’s clock chime in town but distant enough to allow a child the freedom of imagination. In this meadow miracles became reality, fairy tales came to life, and wishes came true for the children of Owego. Their games would change from day to day as they created adventures for themselves to endure until the sun set and they retired home safe to their beds. In the meadow they would fight off pirates attempting to plunder their treasures, they would travel through enchanted forests searching for mythical creatures, they would save a princess from a wicked witch or fight off dragons in a gloomy dungeon. The possibilities were endless in the imagination of a child…

All fairytales must come to an end however—the children grew apart and stopped visiting the now vacant meadow. Now callous and jaded they are adults paving their way through the real world, working nine to five jobs with little room for creativity and just trying to make it. Their fantasy world has long died—those children that they once played with are merely memories of childhood that have been erased by the sands of time. Their pretend personas have been traded in for button downs and ugly ties, no longer is there any possibility of becoming a dragon slayer, or a western cowboy, or brave knight, or even a pirate captain. No longer does the possibility exist for those little girls—now grown and mature to believe in unicorns, fairies, or princesses in towers. It’s all washed away now…Or so it seems.

Now some are miles apart making names for themselves but somehow an unfortunate event brings them all together once again—the death of their late playmate Delilah Atwood. At the service they decide that while they are in town they should honor their dear friend by planting a willow tree in the meadow in which they once played. Upon laying the last shovel full of earth upon the ground surrounding the tree something magical happened there in the meadow…something truly magical. The tree grew rapidly and suddenly shaking the ground around them—a door appeared engraved into the bark of the tree and opened to them sucking them into a whirlwind of light within the tree trunk.

Stunned and bewildered they twirled, and twirled and twirled until the landed in a lush patch of grass. They were no longer in the meadow, no this place was much different. Everything seemed brighter, more colorful and vibrant—almost like a story book…they were now truly a part of the fantasy world in which they once created for themselves. Only now they didn’t control where the adventure was to take them… They find themselves on the biggest quest of their life time, to find their way out of this fantasy land
