Meg is a free-spirited, independent, and quick-witted girl who is also hurt and bitter due to her unforgiving past. She is also cynical, snarky, and world-weary. Meg has always been approached romantically by guys, and she while she will enjoy the attention it bothers her that she only ever feels nothing in return. She has a very low opinion of men in general since her experiences with them have been mostly negative, so every interaction to her is flirtation and nothing serious. However, a small part of her longs for something real, for someone to come along in which she actually feels something.
Meg is the definition of underestimation. Her small stature and innocent features, do play some part in her personality, but underneath she is a little spitfire. She is daring, bold, passionate, but timid and humble when she wants to be. She has always been a bit quirky, but it's something that most people don't get to see unless they are close friends with her. Meg yearned for adventure as a child and that curious nature still holds a small bit of her heart. She is very goal-oriented and when she knows what she want, she wont let anyone stop her from achieving her goal. Whether that be through subtle charm, or cutthroat competition. Even though she has qualities of a hot-head, she truly has a mothering way of approaching things. She will always be there to comfort others in their time of need, and will defend her friends honor in sometimes the most 'unconventional' ways.
Meg holds a lot of anger in her heart. She channels this mainly by her smartass and sarcastic comments, which she speaks fluently in. Her wit and sarcasm make others around her somewhat annoyed but also attracted towards her personality as she can also be quite alluring and charming. A complete ass but with a heart of gold, and that's entirely true.

Megumi was born to an overworked mother and a shithead father. Both second generation immigrants from Japan, her mother and father were practically forced to marry each other considering the Japanese community in their town was so small. Meg's grandparents were very strict on who their daughter should marry, regardless of whether her mother loved him or not.
Meg fondly remembers most nights when she was young helping her mother with chores around the house and dinner dreading the moment her father came home smelling like cheap hookers and alcohol. She hated her father the second she met him, he was a miserable man that abused her mother and herself. She used to beg her mother to leave him, her face full of tears, but her mother knew that without the income from her father they would be homeless. He owned the house, the car, everything, if they left they would have absolutely nothing in their name. In an effort to help her mother with income, she picked up a job at the local diner when she was only fourteen working shifts from the moment she got out of school till midnight. This of course led her to have a rather barren social life, and a tragic academic career as she was so focused on working. Finally her sophomore year of high school, Meg and her mother finally left. They were able to afford a small duplex in a different neighborhood, and her mother had secured a better job so Meg didn't have to work as much.
It was then that her classmates began to notice her more as she branched out, becoming more reckless in her extracurriculars almost as a release form the hell her childhood had been. She's also become a notorious flirt with the boys, all for the wrong reasons. Her father left a gap in her heart that Meg fills with boys, partying, and other stupid ways to mask the fact that she's broken. More than anything she longs for someone to finally fill the gap in her heart, but of course she'd never admit that to anyone.
