Have you ever noticed how the heroes of movies and comics are always recruited by the good guys? How the villains just seem to be there? How the villains always seem to have just gone rogue by themselves? Well, that's not exactly true. At least, for superheroes. It's just that we're never shown how the villains are recruited. After all, that's not tragic enough for a villain's origin story. Sometimes, we just don't agree with the heroes' way of doing things- it's as simple as that. After all, we do sometimes have to face a common enemy...

Welcome to The City. It's a city where the police officers work with superheroes and attempt to control the villains. But in this city, the civilians aren't perfectly happy with that. They don't like the idea of these "goddamn mutants" running around and being able to do whatever the hell they want. Sure, they'll cry out for them when they're in trouble, but when they're safe, their opinions change.

So when someone offers to get rid of them for once and for all, most people don't dare ask questions. As the heroes do, they decide to engage in civil negotiations with this man. Maybe some sort of arrangement can be come to. But someone in the "villainous" team gets inside information. It turns out that the other side doesn't intend on engaging on civil negotiation with the heroes- they intend on kidnapping them.

At first, the villains don't do anything, expecting the heroes to break themselves out of it. But then, that doesn't happen. Instead, they actually do get captured, with only a few who escape. Those who do escape turn to the villains for help.

The villains find themselves without a choice. They simply have to go in and attempt to take this group down. They have to be the heroes. But can they be trusted? And will they actually pull it off?

No godmodding. All characters are human.
Keep the drama to the IC. If you have a problem with another member, try and sort it out over PM, and if that isn't working, I will act as a mediator.
Your character's powers should have limitations- if they're grossly over-powered, then I will ask you to change that.
Diversity in both powers and characters would be nice!
I will change face claims, but as long as the requested face claim isn't grossly-overused or inappropriate.
If you want to leave, let me know, and I will deal with it as necessary.
If you don't post for two weeks and don't give me some kind of reason, I'll assume you have left and will proceed as such.
Commitment would be nice.
Reservations to be posted in the OOC. To show you read these rules, post your character's codename and ability with your reservation!
Relationships? Yes please. More drama! But keep it clean here, and normal RPG rules apply.
Violence is expected, but just don't get too graphic.
Swearing is fine, just don't go overboard.
This is tagged as adult to mostly cover my bases, although darker themes such as drug use and abuse are allowed, as long as they're handled with respect.
Just be nice, okay? It's as simple as that!
Enjoy!

The gunshot made Nora momentarily stop in her tracks, as she pinpointed where it was coming from, she calculated if they hurried they should have enough time, well maybe it depended on the length on her vision, which hopefully wouldn't be too long. Nora felt the absence of Chiaroscuro's monster, which made her slightly worry for the energetic girl that always came into her shop. She quickly decided that she didn't have time for worrying and quickly continued up the stairs, doing quite well without any help from the so called 'sperm monster'.

Well, there still was E's presence behind her, but just for this tiny moment she was glad for it. If the gunman did manage to make it up here, and she was by herself, well she didn't want to think about that.

Nora felt the absence of stairs, and she knew she had made it. She slowly made her way onto the third floor, the farther she got inside the more her head began to scream, it was almost like some twisted game of hot or cold. Sometimes she was grateful when she could sense a vision, but there was no denying it hurt like hell. She winced as she passed a small office cubicle and a sharp pain passed through her body. She turned back approaching the cubicle, her head now becoming a non stop police siren. She slowly outstretched her hand towards the surface of the desk, her hand trembling more and more as it got closer. "E, it's right here, j- just give me a second" She spoke quietly, her tone almost coming out genuinely afraid, which wasn't a lie at all. Nora was always terrified of receiving visions, because of what she saw, and what she couldn't fix. She finally outstretched her hand and her trembling fingers touched the cool, smooth surface of the desk, and instantly she was thrown into a black void. Like always, her body shook slightly, and her eyes retained more of the milky white color every time she received a vision, she was glad she never had to witness it because her imagination made it out to be horrifying.

"Balls, I hate doing dishes," E groaned at Sam's comment. The gunshot had nearly caused him to jump, luckily, Hecate's shouts into his comm-bead had a certain calming effect. The world could fall apart so long as something with a bit of 'normalcy' was going on to cling to, "Duck and weave, Hecate, duck and weave," He supplied helpfully, really, he would rather her not get shot, and in hindsight, he could have kept his mouth shut, but humor helped him keep his edge, so they could deal with it. On the bright side, the shooter had somehow managed to miss a woman hanging in a tree, so the odds of them being an expert marksmen was fairly low.

It didn't help that Chiaroscuro's sperm-thingy just went down to whatever was on the third floor. Hell, it was almost to be expected as when things go south, they tended to keep on going. At the rate, they might just hit Mexico. E gave a soft shrug, dropping the M&Ms out of his hand and onto the lush carpet below them, "Good luck, Sparky," he said to his electric teammate as he passed him on the stairs keeping pace with their blind psychic.

It probably was for the best, and as much as it was odd to think of, he was the best choice to be left with Nora. He would probably be able to get them both out if things managed to go even further south, although he heard Brazil was rather nice this time of year, and the most likely to react quickly enough to an ambush to not get brutally murdered. He could only imagine how terrifying that idea would have to be to Nora.. if... she had thought about it yet, E wasn't sure how he would feel knowing his life was in the hands of another person, especially, if that person was anything like him.

E followed Nora quietly, trying to both watch her and keep an eye out for whatever had taken down the spy-sperm, but it was proving difficult. Even in the low light, he could make out her facial expressions, the winces and twitches, made worse by the fact that he had no idea what to do besides follow her and hope they didn't hit Antarctica. He slid his eyes to the desk she was reaching for, her tone was off-putting, to say the least, he opened his mouth to say something, but one look at her face stopped him.

He had always gone out of his way to avoid looking at her when she went through visions, it was always rough, but the others had it lucky. They didn't see what he saw. They didn't see it in slow motion. The slow changing of the eyes as what color was in them drained out, every muscle spasm, every uncontrollable shake of her body, every flicker of pain that danced across her face, and he could do nothing. His instincts as a thief and villain screamed at him to be on the lookout for whatever, or whomever, brought down the sperm-spy, but he couldn't look away from Nora, his hand stretched out then hesitated. What was he supposed to do? If he touched her, would it make it worse? Would she see visions of him and whatever she was seeing now? How long had she been in that vision? How much time, real time, had truly passed? It felt like she had been standing there an eternity, but had only a few moments passed? Unable to bear it any longer, E gently touched her shoulder, "Nora," he said quietly, trying to will her back from... wherever she was.

Her power thankfully kicked in a few seconds before she hit the ground, thankfully the absorbing the worst of her kinetic energy before she hit the ground. But, of course, she still landed funny on her ankle. It took her a second or two to assess the pain. Not broken, just twisted. Maybe a minor sprain at worst. She climbed to her feet, grimacing a little as her ankle took the weight. "Surge, just be glad you didn't say that about a second before you did," she replied. She grinned a little to herself at Red's comment.

"Good. Hopefully the bastard can only shoot with one hand- although, feel free to take out his other hand for me," she replied. She could feel the excess energy as pressure in her chest, pressure that would need to be released. "Alright, somebody tell me, where should I be headed? Stay and keep a lookout here or go knock out some bad guys?"

Upon hearing footsteps coming toward her, Molly lifted her head to see a familiar face approaching. It was Spencer, or Red, Molly's best friend. Being closer to her only brought more comfort and listening to her voice did the same. When Red finished speaking and Hecate began Molly frowned. "We need to get over to Hecate, or at least I do." Molly told Red. "She's clearly hurt." Up until this point the young healer had been sitting in a bush like dead weight, waiting for something to happen, hoping that someone would shout coordinates into the ear piece of her sisters location, or names of the people involved with the kidnapping. Now, she could actually help. Even if it was just fixing a sprained ankle. Molly sat up straight and leaned forward looking over at the building across the street. "Red can you finish off the gunman?" The smaller girl asked, beginning to stand up. She readjusted her jacket, brushing off dirt from her pants. She was not made for the outdoors and wasn't particularly fond of hiding in a bush.

"Hey uh Hecate I'm coming over there." She spoke softly looking at Spencer. Then after squeezing her friends hand gently she pulled her hood up and ran across the street to the tree were Hecate and Ig stood.

When Hecate spoke to him again he was already outside of the building, and making his way to her location."Oh that's right you were in a tree. Poor word choice."He spoke in his usual tone, all without really apologizing. As he was making his way toward Ig and Zoe one of the heroes spoke up. Red had apparently dealt with the gunman, at least for a moment, and as much as he hated it, the villain was forced to concede that maybe the heroes had their uses.

"Hm wasn't expecting you heroes to pull your weight tonight." Perhaps not a compliant, but truly it was the best he was willing to give them. Despite his help being unnecessary, at least for the moment he continued on his way to Ig, and Zoe. Should there be anymore gunman he'd be more useful out here.

When his teammates were in sight he approached them somewhat cautiously, wary of any lingering threats. He eyed Hecate for a minute, it appeared her fall had injured her ankle. Luckily Blue would be on her way soon. The ankle didn't seem to bother his teammate much though as she seemed ready to take the fight to them. "My votes on finding and taking down any opposition. For all we know we might be surrounded out here."

"We need to get over to Hecate, or at least I do." said Molly and Spencer couldn't help but to glance over towards Hecate's direction before nodding. Spencer was going to tell Molly to be careful but she ran off before she could so Spencer also pulled up her hood with this fiery glint in her eyes. She stood up from the bush and jogged out onto the street just in time to see the gunman up from the ground with gun in hand, his left that is and trained on Molly. Right then Surge's comment came through the earpiece making Spencer smirk as she pulled back on her bow and released. Red wasn't fast enough though because the gun went off. Luckily for her the arrow hit the man's shoulder with such force that it made his arm jerk back in that split second casing the bullet to completely miss Molly but instead graze her left shoulder.

Red winced slightly at the sudden stinging pain but it was no where in hell near enough to stop her from aiming her next arrow at Mr.Righty's head. "Next one goes right through your eye, bastard." she said to herself before letting the last arrow fly. The man fell to the ground with a heavy thump and Spencer lowered her bow. "Aw, thank's for the compliment." said Spencer through the earpiece with that hint of sarcasm she is known to have as she walked up to the man pulling her arrow form his right eye with a twist and loud crack. I think I deserve a drink.

With that thought in place Red made her way back to Molly who was safely with Hecate's little group by the tree. As she was walking the little pyromaniac swiftly swung her arrow towards the left and the gore came flying off, splattering the concrete with a small blotch of red before putting it back in it's holster on her back. Red approached the group right when Surge was speaking and when he finished Red only pulled out her bow once more before waving it a bit. "Well? Whatcha waiting for let's go check it out. If I learned anything from watching batman it's that the joker never had just one henchmen to do his dirty work for him so I'm sure there has to be another one around here." She paused for a second to hand Molly one of her knives just in case and glanced over towards Hecate for a second before bringing her attention back towards Surge."Let's go have some fun."

Encke stiffened considerably as he heard an arrow whistle through the air and land on its mark with a dull thunk, accompanied shortly after by a terse hiss of pain somewhere in front of him and to his left. His eyes widened, and he adjusted his position behind the tree to he would still be concealed from the gunman. He tried to glance over his shoulder to get a view of where the arrow had come from, but it was simply too dark to make out anything besides vague shapes and shadows. He knew pursuing a target when surrounded by uncertain company, whom he was fairly sure had not spotted him just yet, wasn't the brightest of ideas, but the gunman was getting away, and along with him Encke's best chance for finding the heroes.

He glanced around the tree again, feeling the damp, rough bark press into his cheek uncomfortably. A dark figure stalked off in the direction of the road, clutching his hand to his chest, and Encke started after him, taking less care to conceal himself as the man broke into a jog in the direction of the street. It was now or never.

The man ran out into the street, and Encke was but a few paces behind him, already feeling the water rise from puddles on the ground to swirl and writhe at his fingertips. He had almost reached the streetlight and reared his arm back to strike when another sharp thunk of an arrow pierced the air, freezing him in his place. A gunshot, and another arrow on its heels. Encke watched with shocked eyes as the bolt landed squarely in the man's face, protruding grotesquely amidst a small spray of blood before he crumpled noiselessly to the ground. It took a moment for his mind to kick into gear.

This idiot had just killed his only source of information. Assuming he was right about her connections to the group of villains who were supposedly working to free the heroes, this idiot had just killed her only source of information. He stood there, half livid and half in utter disbelief, instinctively reaching around his shoulder to grab the hilt of one of the long knives that were slung across his back. A well of anger he hadn't even know he'd had in him was bubbling to the surface, making his knuckles turn white as he gripped the handle of the blade. A tight coil wrapped around his chest. Every inch of his being commanded him to shake her, dig his fingertips into her shoulders and scream at her for her stupidity. He settled for unsheathing his knife and holding it out at his side, pointed slightly downward in a gesture of peace, but easy enough to flick up if he needed to defend himself. If this group of villains was going to go around killing his only connections to the heroes, then maybe it was time they finally talked. So instead of slinking back into the bushes before he was spotted, he stood in full illumination of the streetlight, glaring at the archer with hard, pale eyes.

Well, tonight was going swimmingly. A gunman shows up, Edd gets whacked, and now she gets to sit in an alley while everyone else does shit without keeping her updated. How absolutely fantabulous. Apparently Hecate was hurt, and there hadn't been any reply from E or Delphi, so who even knew what was going on there.

"Anyone wanna fill me in on what's happening?" she said into the communicator, eyes flicking to the wall to make sure no one had come sniffing. "I mean, I get it, you're busy, but poor communication kills, so maybe spare a quick status update for the one who's not there?"

God, this had to be the worst part of being a distance fighter, she never knew what was going on unless someone told her or she had something in the field. She felt frustrated by the lack of knowledge, and her leg bounced compulsively as impatience ate away at her. She felt the need to do something, not out of worry, but to relieve this tension she got when she felt like she was being left out of the loop.

She flipped open her sketchbook, hastily drawing out something she could use to disguise herself - a dark mask with a flowing bluish mane and a purple design around its single eye hole.

Image

How delightfully animesque. She brought the mask into being, then draped it over her face before dropping the artificial wall and darting toward the office park. She kept to the shadows, ducking behind dumpsters and into alleyways whenever she felt someone was coming. When she finally arrived at her destination she took up position behind a tree to keep out of sight, taking in the view of her "teammates" just in time to see one put an arrow through a man's head, with grand hero Trapshot stepping forward to confront the archer.

Just fan-fucking-tastic.

The only thing that Nora really loved about her visions, was finally being able to see again. She had to blink a couple of times to adjust her eyes, as most of the time it was quite over whelming. She took a couple steps back, covering her eyes, as they slowly adjusted to the bright white light of the room. As her vision settled she could see that she was back in the 3rd floor of the office complex again, except she was alone. Well she thought she was until she looked up and noticed 2 men talking hurriedly near the door. She took a couple steps towards them trying to attune her ears to their conversation, but she could only make out a couple of sentences. "Dammit! How could you have let this happen?!" "We didn't know they'd be with..." "If they figure out what we're doing, then we're screwed, he's going to skin us alive, do you want that?". The thing about her visions were, they were never direct, and she hated it. As she approached both of the men, she couldn't make out either of their features, it was almost like they were painted on a canvas but someone had gone up and smudged their faces, leaving a blurry mix of colors, bleeding together as a face. She could somewhat make out a distinct scar running across the man's, who she assumed was higher up, face. Soon their words started to slow down and mush together almost like a video tape slowly dying, and she was thrown out of the office building, smoothly into another setting.

The colors of this area were far more harsh, and dark. She could smell the musty, stale aroma of the air, and could faintly hear the sounds of dripping water, from pipes? She couldn't be for sure. She definitely knew she was in some underground sort of area. As her eyes adjusted to the dark lighting of the room she could make out several pallid faces surrounding her, it took her moment to realize she was surrounded by heroes, the missing heroes. She tried to get up, to maybe scout the area as much as she could to try and find some hint to where they were, but she couldn't move. She looked down at her wrists and noticed that they were tightly bound with some sort of rope, digging deeply into her flesh. She was horrified at the sight and tugged roughly on the bindings, but it only made her wrists scream in pain. "It's no use Quinn, we've tried thousands of times, you're just going to end up hurting yourself even more", Nora looked up to the source of the voice and noticed one of the heroes had spoken up. He had dark blonde hair that fell into his eyes, which were quite an odd shade of almost orange? He looked vaguely familiar, but she couldn't quite pinpoint it at all. She couldn't help but noticed how drained he looked, and as she looked around at the others they all looked the same, almost dead like the life force was slowly being sucked out of them like a straw. As she looked back to the boy to possibly ask him anything, anything to help, she nearly choked on a scream. His face, his face was horrific. Almost like a zombie that slowly had flesh peeling off to the bone. She had almost no time to react, as she felt a cold hand on her shoulder and looked over to see another hero with the same features, only this time, the girl was worse. Now she could see bone, poking out beneath the rotted flesh, as the girl reached out to her with a skeletal hand her eyes blank, blank and dead, this time Nora screamed.

It was abrupt, almost like she was being sucked through a vacuum, she had never switched visions before so painfully. She felt as if someone grabbed her and wrenched her out of the nightmare only to throw her into another. This time though she was surrounded by the harsh fluorescent lighting of a... doctor's office? No, it looked too, what's the word, shady? There we go, too shady to be a doctors office. She was still slightly shaking from fear and recovering from the last vision when the door to the room opened with a small creak and she looked up to watch middle aged man come into the room with a particular grim look on his face. He approached Nora, and looked her sternly in the eyes before speaking, his words felt almost detached to his body, it was all together quite terrifying. "It seems to be that you're aging at an accelerated pace.... On a subatomic level, your atoms are moving to fast for your body to comprehend, and in response your body is..." What the hell...? None of this made sense, what did this have to do with anything that she touched? As she looked closer though, she noticed that the doctor wasn't looking directly at her, but directly next to her. She slowly turned to see the form of.... E? Oh god, he must've touched her. She was seeing his future. Oh god, oh god.. She repeated as she turned back to the doctor, everything about the vision clicking into place.

Nora didn't realize she was screaming. She could her the loud pitch of a girl screaming, it sounded almost pained, but it didn't feel like it was coming out of her, but someone else. Her hands were like concrete gripping onto E's arms as she came back to the present, back into the office building, and out of the vision.

Zoe just rolled her eyes at Surge, not even gracing him with a reply. Apparently Molly was on her way now, and while Zoe was more than willing to just move and deal with the pain, she was also pretty sure that the healer- and possibly some of her other teammates- would yell at her for doing so. So she stayed put, leaning against the tree where she had been.

She grinned at Spencer as she approached- but then noticed Encke's glare from across the street. Yet again, she rolled her eyes. "What happened to heroes being about preserving life and all that bull?" She asked the archer teasingly, straightening up as much as she could. Her ankle wasn't even that bad, but unlike Spencer, Molly was a typical hero who wouldn't want Zoe putting herself through anything unnecessarily. Zoe decided not to tell her about the time that she'd run an entire mission with a gunshot wound to her shoulder.

It was only then that she realised how quiet E had gone. "Yo, E, is everything okay? I get worried when I don't have your voice as white noise in the background," she said.

E could hear the background noise, Robin hood taking down the gunmen, the puppy hero wanting said robin hood to finish off the gunman, which, if he were more... well, if he weren't so occupied, he would have made a comment on how odd it was that the heroes were the ones so quick to shoot in this, of Chiaroscuro asking for news, any news, but he couldn't say, or do, anything. All he could do was watch Nora and know that, if anything, all his touch had done was made it worse.

The convulsing had only gotten worse, and his entire body jumped when she screamed mere moments after touching her. E's first instinct was to move his hand and run, but before he could move an inch, she was clutching onto him, holding his arms in a vice-grip. "Nora!" E shouted once again, a vain effort to bring it to an end, to make her just stop. In response, she screamed. E winced and once again tried to pull away, but he couldn't break her hold.

The scream was pierced through him and struck his core, he had heard people scream before, but this was different, it was filled with so much pain, but it was almost as if she wasn't there. It was as if he was listening to a recording of her screaming in pain, locked in some far away room, a room where he, or anyone, could not reach her. Trapped in whatever was going on in her mind with the world just outside.

"Nora," E said desperate, this wasn't fair. He had always done his best to avoid this exact situation, he never should have joined this team, there was nothing wrong with being alone, this was... he couldn't deal with this. Trying, and failing, to block out the screams, he almost sagged with relief when he saw the milky white color slowly drain from her eyes, but her clutch was just as strong as ever, and he was terrified of sending her into another vision, heaven knows what she had already seen.

His name coming over his comm drew his attention back from the recovering psychic, "I-I," he started, his voice trailing off at Hecate's question, "Y-Yeah, Omen had a vision... maybe more, I don't know, I think we are alright.." He said almost more to himself before casting a look down at the woman clutching on to him, "We... are alright... aren't we?"

Finally, some news! Well, not exciting news. If Eitan's tone was anything to go by, Delphi's vision had been rather less than routine. "Delphi, you okay over there?" she asked, eyes flicking momentarily to the office building before returning to the confrontation in front of it. "Nora? What did he do?"

To be fair it probably wasn't his fault, but then, it probably was. E seemed the type to make things worse in ways that, while not necessarily bad, were certainly kind of annoying. She also decided that if he did do something to upset her... what was her relationship to Delphi? Adviser? Guidance councilor? Guidance councilor, that felt funny enough to be the one she could go with. Getting back to the main train of thought however; if Speeds Mcgee had done something to upset Delphi, Samantha would have to punish him.

As Molly crossed the street, she heard another gun shot. Cringing slightly at the sound she continued on, unsure of where it had landed. Hecate, Surge, and Ig came into focus quickly as she neared the tree. Hecate was leaning against the trunk, putting pressure on her other foot. She didn't appear to be in any major pain. However, it was in no way safe for her to rely on a hurt ankle, especially if they had to make a run for it.

Molly approached Hecate slowly "Could you sit down? It's easier that way." She asked. The young healer had been doing this for years and after many sprains, twists, and breaks, she knew the fastest way to get this done. Once Hecate had done as asked Molly knelt down beside her ankle. She began to reach her hand out to roll back Hecate's pant leg, but there was a bit of hesistation. She'd never touched a villain before and she could only push away uncomfortable thoughts of what her parents would think if they saw her doing this. However, now was not the time to think of them. There were greater things at stake.

The healer rolled up the bottom of Hecate's pant leg about an inch and she pushed her sock down. Then she pressed her hand onto the girl's cold skin. When healing sprains and anything to do with the muscle, it was alway necessary to touch the hurt area. If the wound lay on the skin then hovering over it would do the job, but of course this was currently not the case. As her hand lay on Hecate's skin, a warm blue glow began to tranfer from Molly's fingers and palm, into Hecate's ankle. Both girls were able to feel the warmth and Molly kept her eyes on her hand, watching the blue glow. As the strengh in Hecate's ankle was restored the light began to fade away, until no light was visible to see.

""You should be good now." Molly avoided eye contact with Hecate and just out of luck Spencer came running up to join their now growing group of people. And so she slide over to stand next to Spencer. Due to the dim lighting Molly was completely unable to see the cut on Spencer's shoulder and only grimaced when her friend handed her a knife. ""Red I'm not going to go stab anyone..." She mumbled attaching the knife to her belt and looked over her friends shoulder to see Encke standing in the street. ""Uh what's Trap doing?" Blue asked nodding her head in his direction.

It started out so, so good. A proper greeting from Surge, what he was pretty sure was sarcasm from E, and then of course Zoe's appearance. He'd just been reaching out for her with the sound of gunshots broke through the air. Zoe had lost her balance, and Ig had dropped to the ground, unsure where they were coming from.

He'd hid, because he was good at that, eyes trained on Zoe to make sure she was okay, but she was a big girl, and more than capable of taking care of herself. In the meantime, Ig focused on blending in, listening to the voices communicating trough his earset. Late meant he was off as far as knowing shit went. He could barely remember the layout of the building, for starters, and he had no idea where they were mission wise. So he took a moment to catch up and - hopefully - not get shot.

When it seemed like everything was actually okay and the world wasn't ending, Ig let himself blend back into visibility. He'd missed Surge's appearance, being so drawn into what the others were doing (awareness skills: lacking) but offered his friend a nod as he made his way closer to the rag tag group that had gathered around.

Zoe's ankle was twisted, he could tell immediately, and he winced in sympathy before he realized Blue was crossing the street towards them. He knew she was a healer, but he still felt every bone in his body tense the moment she touched his number one girl. Through some serious self restraint, he managed not to say anything, but watched every move Blue made closely.

Once it was all said and done, Spencer was joining too, and Ig offered a nod towards Zoe. "You good?"

Zoe just rolled her eyes and followed all of Blue's requests, knowing that arguing wouldn't be worth the trouble. One eyebrow arched at the healer's hesitation towards touching her, so she just yanked up the fabric of her pants herself. She was a little taken aback by the warmth- she'd been expecting coldness for some reason. As the glow faded, she rolled her ankle a little and raised an eyebrow again, but this time impressed. There was no pain whatsoever as she scrambled to her feet, brushing herself down.

"Yeah, no thanks to you, asshole," she teased, swatting his arm. It was only then that she spotted Spencer's injury. "Blue, you're not finished yet. Is the bullet lodged?" She asked, striding over to take a look at it. She didn't touch the hero, simply examined the wound. "Just a graze. You got lucky, Red," she said.

Nora always had an aftershock from her visions, sometimes it was worse than others, all she could think this time was, At least I didn't pass out...

Her body was still shivering almost as if she was placed in the middle of Antarctica, cold sweat plastered to her face, and it took her a couple of moments to recover. She then realized her death grip on E, and immediately let him go, taking quick steps away from him bumping into the desk behind her. No telling what E, just saw, witnessed. Oh god, She could only think as she stared at him, she still wasn't used to having detrimental visions, in front of people. Normally in her shop, she just had small ones that only looked like she was day dreaming it wasn't as horrific, but this, she never let anyone see this. "E, oh god. I- I am so sorry" she said quickly crossing her hands over her chest locking them where nothing could touch them. If she were him she'd never want to even get close to her anymore.

Still as she was recovering, the vivid flashes of her vision still remained, swimming around in her head, and, and, E. His vision, it hit her like an aftershock of a earthquake. She wasn't supposed to have seen that, what was she supposed to do? She quickly looked down at the ground, she hoped her face wasn't giving anything away. She couldn't mention it to him, not now.

"I'm f- fine, just a little shaken", she said into the comm so the others wouldn't worry.

"W- We should leave, get the others. I need some time to t- think" Her voice came out almost as shaky as the current state of her mind.

He watched with seeming boredom as Red and Blue made there way over to help with Zoe's injured ankle. Though truth be told he was actually curious and watched Red as she casually murdered someone before their very eyes. Granted it was someone all to willing to kill everyone present, and Surge really couldn't bring himself to care. It was simply surprising to watch a hero do an enemy in, and as far as he was concerned it simply highlighted how self-righteous they could be. Of course it was okay when a hero took a life. "Guess they just don't make heroes like they used to." He spoke in response to Hecate, and really the tone of his voice made the intentions behind his words somewhat muddy. It could have been an insult, an indication of surprise, or even a compliment. When Red spoke to him he didn't really respond, offering only a small nod. Of course he wouldn't actually leave until Blue finished with Zoe's ankle.

He watched as Blue went to work on Zoe. Fortunately it didn't take long, and as she got back u she raised a good point as she spoke into the communication device. E had been unusually quiet. Did something happen? Was E hurt? What about Nora? He let out a sigh. he shouldn't have left them. He was about to speak up when E's voice rather shakily came through the comms device. It was easy to see why, and Surge's face went uncharacteristically white. He was well aware of how unpleasant Nora's visions could be. he eased slightly when Nora said she was fine but concern still lingered in his mind. H e simply waited patiently to find out her vision and consequently what their next move should be.

"What happened to heroes being about preserving life and all that bull?" teased Zoe but in that moment Spencer took in the full realization of what she just did. She gave a nervous smirk before her eyes traveled down to Hecate's ankle where Molly worked. While it looked as if Spencer was just observing Molly's work quietly in reality she was trying to wrap her head around what she just did. She just killed a man in cold blood and . . . she didn't regret it. She just thought about the people that killed her sister and didn't feel guilty whatsoever. Red can remember the distinctive clothing that the men were wearing that night when she found her sister. They were dressed identical, looked like a uniform of sorts but this man she just killed wore street clothes. He had to be a hired killer, there couldn't be no other explanation.

Her mind pondered these questions before she was finally snapped out of it by her best friends little mumbles. "Y-you don't have to kill anyone." Spencer said as her voice faintly cracked in a distraught manner. "A knife isn't just used for killing . . ." she mumbled with eyes on the ground before turning around and facing Encke. She met cold eyes with her own challenging stormy grey ones as they stared each other down for what seemed like hours which in reality were only a few seconds at most before Zoe commented on Spencer's wound. Red was first to break eye contact as she quietly glanced down at her own wound that she totally forgot about. She looked up at Zoe meeting her eyes. "It's nothing," her lips curved upward ever so slightly forming a very faint smirk before turning her attention to Molly. "It's nothing to worry about just a little scratch. Save that energy of yours in case someone actually gets seriously hurt."

"Hey, I didn't do any-" E paused for a moment, "Kinda do anything," As, looking back, touching someone who gets visions through touch as she was having a vision was a pretty stupid plan, but hey, hindsight is 20/20. At the very least, she was as shaken up as he, would have been so much worse if she had come out of it unphased, would have certainly 'unmanned' him, as it were.

Still, what had she seen? Had she seen something about him when he touched her? He hoped not. He had some shit he wanted to keep to himself, and more over, he didn't want to know his future. E liked surprises, would ruin the experience if she told him what happened in the next Star Wars movie... Yeah, he was going with that.

"Yeah," E agreed as he tapped his comm, "Time to get the fuck out of here. Gunshots and what not tend to summon the cops, unless we are in a certain parts of the city, but sadly, we aren't. Hell, I would be almost willing to leave my car unlocked in this neighborhood... if, you know, I had a car."

Moving to the windows to take a peek, he spotted a man standing in the street with two knives, he couldn't make out his face from this distance, "Hey, guys, who the fuck is that? You know. Guy with the knives? Hey, you know what? Don't answer. I'ma just go home. Yeah, Omen had a vision, and I assume she got what we needed, so fuck that guy, not even dealing with that."

E took a moment to gather himself, and his courage, before turning back to Nora, "Hey, did you bring gloves or something? I can zip us out of here faster, but, you know, don't wanna do, well, no touchie. Kinda got that now."

"Hey" Molly said shooting Hecate and Surge a look. "It was us or him. Red did the right thing..." She continued softly. These villains had absolutely no idea what Spencer had been through in the last few days. They had no idea the rage that stood behind her eyes. Molly's best friend had been given minimum time to grieve the lose of her sister, let alone wrap her head around the fact that her now ex-girlfriend had instigated the killing. It hasn't been the greatest week in history for the heroes, if the villians could show just the slightest bit of empathy, Molly felt everyone might get along better. Yes one man died, but had he lived, they would all be in trouble. For all they knew Spencer could have killed him right before he could call for back up. The longer they stood there the more unease Molly began to feel. Glancing up at her distraught friend, Molly took Spencer's hand in hers to comfort her and then proceeded to examine her wound. "Fine, but as soon as we're done here I'm fixing it." The lighting wasn't good anyways, she'd have to make sure it was clean first and that always took a bit longer.
"Can we get out of here?" Molly spoke into the comm. She had definitely had enough for tonight and was looking forward to being somewhere at least partially more safe then their current location.

She didn't miss Spencer's reaction- of how she seemed to disappear into herself for a few moments. But before she could say anything, Molly chided her and Surge for their comments. "I wasn't saying it was a bad thing. Like you said, it was them or us, and I'd much rather we be the ones to stay alive," she said, still watching Spencer.

At Spence's insistence that she was fine, Zoe rolled her eyes. "You sure? Because knowing my luck, if you pass out, I'll be the one left carrying you," She teased gently. "Find something to wrap that with, it'll slow the bleeding and keep it as clean as possible till we can get Florence Nightingale here to fix you up. Trust me, I've had enough field injuries to know how to deal with them."

The guy across the street with the two knives was giving her the creeps. Who the fuck did he think he was, Deadpool? She'd had enough staring, so she rolled her eyes and snatched the knife from Molly's belt. Even though she still had the excess energy in her body, she wasn't taking any chances.

"Hey, dickhead! You got a problem?" She called, spreading her arms. "Maybe you should take a picture, it'll last longer!" He was bigger than her, but that had never held her back. She'd faced people an awful lot bigger and scarier than him before.

Yeah, Sam was getting just a little tired of the surprises and hero-murders for one night. She moved back out of the park, sticking to the shade to keep from being seen and hoping Edgelord the Edgehog couldn't pull some weird shadow-based spidey sense. When she felt she was a good enough distance away, she pressed her finger to the button on the comm.

"Hard to believe this is coming out of my mouth, but I agree with Flash and the white mage. See you guys back at the safe house or whatever," she cast a look behind her as she headed down the sidewalk. "And Delphi, make sure you have protection before speed freak over there lets you ride him."

She made her way through the city streets, discarding her mask down a sewer drain somewhere between the park and her destination. She took unnecessary turns and waded through the most crowded streets, a precaution to prevent from being followed, before coming out in her own familiar, shady neighborhood.

She opened the door to a shop with "PAWN" hanging above the entrance in large neon letters. A small sign in the window read "Bernini and SesshΕ« Consultation Services, Second Floor", her own small advertisement to prospective clients. A man sitting behind a counter with a steel cage separating him from customers grunted in acknowledgement of her presence, the grand extent of their usual interaction. He pressed a button under his counter to unlock a door in the back which boasted the same sign as the window. Samantha ascended the staircase waiting through it, then went through a second door at the top.

The second floor was split in two; the door she had come from led into her business space, a small office with a single chair and an uncluttered desk. A locked room to the left led into her living space, which also served as her hiding spot when controlling the constructs who interacted with her clients. She went through this door now, revealing a cramped space with a tiny kitchen and bathroom just off the combined living room, bedroom, and whatever-else-she-needed-it-for room. Not the most extravagant place she could afford, perhaps, but it discouraged prying eyes.

It was also right across the street from her favorite adviser. Should she have informed Delphi that she'd been living right across from her place of business all this time? Yes. Was it creepy that she took advantage of the position of her living room window to spy on the psychic's front door? Maybe. She justified it to herself with the knowledge that she'd been living there since before she ever met the seer, and being so close meant she could just swoop in to save the day if anyone ever showed up who had a beef with Nora. Also it was kind of funny to throw pebbles at Nora's shopfront when she went to open the door and watch her jump.

Samantha moved to the kitchen, grabbing herself a big bag of funyuns and a bottle of orange soda before settling down on her futon to play the new Digimon game and wait for the others to get to their little hiding place.

Spencer could only give a small nod towards her best friends words as she tried coming up with a way to comfort her. Molly was right though, it was either him or them and Red preferably would have it him. While Zoe spoke Spencer unzipped her leather hoodie and slid it off, revealing her black tank top underneath. "Find something to wrap that with, it'll slow the bleeding and keep it as clean as possible till we can get Florence Nightingale here to fix you up. Trust me, I've had enough field injuries to know how to deal with them." said Zoe but Red was already on it. She dug her hand into one of the pockets and pulled out a bandage before flashing a knowing smile at both Zoe and Molly.

"First time I actually needed to use this, can't remember how long that was in there for." she joked while wrapping the bandage around her wound. Once she was all patched up Spencer slightly adjusted her hoodie over her shoulder. Just then Molly spoke up and it only caused Red to put her arm around Molly's shoulder. "Yes, mom!" she teased happily at the moment as her body slightly relaxed around her best friends presents.

Red felt the sudden yet slight jerk from Molly when Zoe took the knife from the belt and her eyes followed her. Spence had totally forgotten about mister knives over there, well, sort of because she could feel his eyes on her but tried to ignore him and it worked, a bit. Red quickly followed after Zoe, stepping in front of her after she yelled out at Encke. "Hey, hey." she began. "He's harmless . . ." Spencer glanced back at Encke as if silently asking if he was going to do anything before returning her gaze back at Zoe. "Let's just get out of here. Cops will be here in less than ten and I rather sleep in my own bed today rather than a prison cell. Plus, you look like you could use a drink?" She said but it came out more as an offer than a statement.

There was little to no response from the guy with the knives, even as she yelled at him. So when Spencer stepped between them and reminded her how the cops would be arriving before long, she nodded, finally tearing her gaze off of him. "Yeah. Yeah, you're right. I'm freaking dying for a drink," she said, tucking the knife into her own belt. "C'mon, guys, let's get going. We don't want the cops asking too many questions," she said, releasing the excess energy into her voice to add a little extra volume, but mostly to reduce the feeling of pressure in her chest.

Their hub was based under some disused warehouses on the edge of town. It was basic, designed in such a way as to allow them to completely abandon it in as little time as possible. There was one conference room, one training room, and a few spare rooms which could be used as bedrooms, but that most just used as storage for changes of clothes, spare costumes, and spare ammunition.

Zoe had left Spencer's knife on the disused locker as she got changed out of her "costume." In reality, it was just a close-fitting hoodie, a vest top, workout leggings and small, light trainers. All black, of course. She changed into a pair of skinny jeans and a looser-fitting shirt, also all black.

As she laced up her combat boots, she rolled her ankle, still expecting a little pain, and still getting none. Having a healer on the team really would be useful. But, unfortunately, she also got the impression that, once they rescued the heroes, Molly wasn't going to stick around. Hmm. That was something else she needed to look into.

Thoughts of doubt raced through Molly's head as they entered what could be thought of as the villians head quarters. She could practically see herself sliding away from the scene and running off, but she had no where to go. After Molly had escaped the kidnapping she had gone straight to Spencer's. She hadn't went home, mainly out of fear. Everything just seemed to dangerous now.

Molly remained close to her best friend as they walked through the hub and to one of the rooms. Zoe then began changing her clothes to something more comfortable. All the black Molly was currently wearing had been borrowed from Spencer and she did not have a change of clothes with her.

"Let me fix up your shoulder." Blue said pulling Spencer aside gently. She ushered her over to a chair and had her taller friend sit down and then she pulled Spencer's jacket off and the band aid as well. "What do you think Nora saw in her vision? Do you think she say Quinn?" Molly asked in a low voice. She brought her hand up to her friend's shoulder and keeping in about an inch away from the wound, the warm blue glow of light began to rush over it. In less than a minute the light had faded and Spencer's shoulder looked perfectly new.

Re: A Little Mayhem

I PMed Snowshoe a little while ago- I'll give it another few days before responding and moving things on a little.

@Blueshadow- that's fine! I'll look forward to that post :D

Re: A Little Mayhem

Hey guys just so you know I'm currently in the midst of a move so I might not be able to post for a few days. I'll try and get something up of course whenever I have free time though.

Re: A Little Mayhem

Snowshoe hasn't posted in 8 days, and I know a few of us are waiting for his post so we can keep moving forward. Should someone PM him?

Re: A Little Mayhem

Bit of a longer post since it's been a week since I last did that.

Re: A Little Mayhem

Finally got Trist completed, now to sit down when I get home tonight with a cuppa to read through events so far to catch up and to plan my entrance.

Re: A Little Mayhem

Terribly sorry I've been gone guys - I had some personal shit hit the fan the moment this RP opened, and then I was having trouble catching up, but I'm back!

Re: A Little Mayhem

Hey Fabricator, hope you get things sorted soon!

Oh and everyone I've been trying to somehow make this clear but its definitely not working as of yet ^^' Encke isn't with the villains right now! He's been snooping around and spying on them because he doesn't really trust them, and I mean until this point in time they probably didn't even know he was around. So that's why he's suddenly getting all confrontational, because Spencer just brutally murdered a guy and he wants to reveal himself so he can ask them what the hell they're doing. So he wasn't part of the little mission they were on, or anything. Just felt like I should get that out there

Re: A Little Mayhem

I'd just like to drop by and say that I'm still trying to be a part of this (or at least join first) just real life has pretty much been overwhelming me this past couple of weeks so I've been heavily delayed and for that I'd like to apologise to you all.

Re: A Little Mayhem

Yeah, thought it was odd he was getting worked up at the villains for the actions of a hero linked to their team.

Also, fun note, first confirmed RP KIA was done by a hero. Don't know about the rest of you, but that is rather amusing.

Re: A Little Mayhem

Sorry but just to let everyone know Spencer is a Hero! Just wanted to clear that up I only changed her Face claim and powers is all but she's still a hero! One that's a bit lost at the moment. . . but still.

Re: A Little Mayhem

Kai is finished

Re: A Little Mayhem

He's accepted! And don't worry, I won't hold any mistakes against you- we all make them at first!

Re: A Little Mayhem

@iCat that's all fine! I'll take the water manipulation, then. and FC is fine, but I might describe him a tad differently just because I'm piecing together a character I've already written. Same ethnicity and all, but a little different facial structure and shorter hair, if that's okay. I'll get him up as soon as possible!

p.s. I'm a pretty experienced roleplayer but totally new to this site, so please excuse any foolish errors I make ^^'

Re: A Little Mayhem

Alright, so here's the story as regards posting! If your character is accepted, you can go ahead and post.

They're currently on a bit of a recon mission- some of them will be on surveillance, like Zoe, and others will actually be inside in the building. We can assume it's low security and not that dangerous.

Re: A Little Mayhem

@chevin11- We actually don't have any open roles at the minute, I'm afraid, and I'm not planning on adding any more.

Re: A Little Mayhem

Hey guys >.<!

I have finally finished my character, Nora, after years and many bowls of cereal...

It currently is being difficult, and wont let me upload links, but she is now on the character board.

Feel free to PM me about relations and all that jazz!

Re: A Little Mayhem

Hey Can I Reserve? :) ill have a full sheet done by friday

Re: A Little Mayhem

These characters are shaping up to be awesome, guys! I'm going to message everyone who hasn't submitted a WIP yet and just make sure they're still in. I'd love to have all of the characters in and mostly finished by Saturday, so we can start posting!

@snowshoe.- I'm sticking to a power allowance of just one power, so you'll have to choose, I'm afraid. Is FC: Mazzi Maz okay? I'm not adding any more heroes as only a few were meant to have escaped.

Re: A Little Mayhem

I've got a little caught up with real life events so I may be delayed in writing up my character.

Re: A Little Mayhem

Molly is done! I apologize in advance for my horrible gif placement, I've never been good at that. If anyone wants to talk relationships PM me. I'm so excited for this I can't wait to start!
