Xalvador is the big brother of Pulse, taking everyone under his wing and trying to help out anyone in need. As much as some may be rude to him, he still is a giant teddy bear, reaching out to anyone who is in need. This makes it hard for others to dislike him, and also sometimes difficult to see him as a bouncer because most don't seem him as even capable of killing a fly. Generally it's his "brother" like instincts to be protective that make him such a good bouncer because his utmost care is the well being of those he cares about, and everyone as Pulse is his family. Also being the more tender type, he never feeds from another without their consent first, so generally he feeds from other vampires more than humans, or feeds off of animals.

When Xalvador was 21, many of the Templar members were being captured, tortured into giving false confessions and then burnt at the stake. Worried for his life, Xalvador fled from France over to Britain and continued his search with only a few trusted Templar members. After many years of searching, the remaining Knights found the supposed location of the Grail in the heart of Spain, hidden miles deep in an old forgotten cavern. Upon reaching the epicenter they found but a simple goblet and a fountain filled with red liquid. The legend of the grail was that the disciples drank Christ's bloods from the goblet, and that if you drink from it, it will give you eternal life. Xalvador deciding to go first, filled the cup with the red fluid and drank the cup dry. But what he didn't realize was the price that came with this eternal life. The blood within that fountain was blood of the very first vampire, so powerful that it can change a host from a single drink without the need of draining the host of it's own blood first.
It wasn't long before the transformation was complete and Xalvador mindlessly killed his Templar companions in the depths of that Spainish cave. Once emerging from the darkness of the cavern, Xalvador, so ashamed of what he did to his friends fled from Spain for nearly 200 years. But he returned when he heard rumor of a man, Ponce de León, that was gathering a group of explorers to travel to the new world in search of the Fountain of Youth. Xalvador wanted to know if there were, in fact, more than one of these eternal fountains, not wanting to turn any others but to destroy them from any others turning into what he was. It was a fate he would not wish upon anyone. Upon reaching the new world, he quickly came to realize that this fountain that Ponce de León was searching for did not exist. And Xalvador had to disappear from the group, when members of the crew began to wonder why he did not look a day older than he had when he first joined the expedition.
Since then, Xalvador has been a nomad traveling from here to there in the new world. Discovering and just taking in all the wonders the world had to offer. After spending a majority of his life traveling to every continent and every country, he finally decided it might be time for him to try and find a home to stay in for awhile. Xalvador hadn't realized in his travels the abundant growth of his kind, but when rumor spread that a number of them were congregating down in Rosewood, North Carolina, he thought it was worth a visit. Once getting there he realized that this coven and small town felt like his own little piece of home, and he has no intention of leaving.
