Ah, home sweet home, or rather, Merryweather Academy; where there are always fresh faces and adventures to be found!
At least, that's what the brochure says.
Sticking true to it's name, Merryweather Academy is sunny all year round! Here, you can take part in a variety of extra-curricular activities such as;
- Any number of our famous sports teams; football, basketball, cheer and soccer, just to name a few.
- Photography club
- Writers club
- Chess Club
- and so much more!
Of course, you're required to take 5 classes a day, but don't let that slow you down! Choose 5 classes from the following!:
- Algebra 1
- Algebra 2
- Trigonometry
- Biology
- Chemistry
- World History
- Culinary Arts
- Computers 101
- Creative Writing
- Literature
Physical Education is required and it is a school-wide event that takes place once every 2 weeks. Students will be paired off against each other, and fight one on one. This is for honing down on the students powers in a friendly (mostly!), safe environment.
Dorms
The dormitories are located in a separate building across campus. Each dorm has a small kitchen with a refrigerator, electric stove-top, microwave and sink. All main meals can be purchased in the cafeteria for a small price.
Each room has a total of 2 bunk-beds, fitting 4 persons per dorm, but with the selective admission, only 2 people will be sharing a dorm, unless otherwise stated.
While sharing a dorm is fun, and let's the students get a feel for independence, there will be a weekly dorm-check preformed by the Headmaster to ensure there is no destruction going on behind closed doors.
Campus
Merryweather Academy has a campus that takes up over 24-acres. On the ground you can find everything you'd need and more like;
A convenience store
A swimming pool
A gymnasium
And a forest for all students to explore!
We sincerely hope that you're first day at Merryweather Academy is a joyful one, as are the many months to come!

Did those dirty scum not know who they were?
After another minute of indirect talking, the boys left and Adrial took that opportunity to open the door. Of course his brother would make childish, spoiled remarks. It was Jensen after all. While Adrial had spent the majority of his teenage years excelling in school (easy as it was with his photographic memory) his brother on the other hand focused his attention on trivial things such as girls and parties and making friends that only liked him for his last name. Grabbing his suitcase from his brothers side, Adrial began walking towards the dorm building, not waiting for the raven-haired boy to follow him.
"Dorm 219!" He called behind him, loud enough for his brother to here.
Soon, Adrial was lost in the crowded schoolyard, squeezing in between large groups and cliques. He was momentarily bummed that he would have to make a new group of friends, but that only slightly put him off. He was, after all, Adrial Alleyne, and if he really needed too, he could buy some friends...
He shook that thought out of his head, not wanting to stoop as low as he was sure his brother had gone before.
No, if he was going to make friends, it was going to be because he was a nice, well-mannered, considerate individual. Upon seeing that he had wandered into the building and appeared in front of his dorm seemingly on autopilot, Adrial snapped out of whatever self-induced trance he was in, and pushed the handle to open it softly.
"Uh...hello?" He poked his head in and immediately his eyes fell upon a rather small boy sitting on a bed, nose buried in a book. He set his stuff down by the door and stood there awkwardly for a moment. "I'm Adrial..."
Trying to change the subject, Jeri regretfully blurted out what had been on her mind all day. "So, what's wrong with you that made you attend this school?" The second those last words fell off her lips she immediately put her hands to her mouth. "I'm so sorry. I still need to get used to this well, everything." Jeri sighed, realizing she was now just babbling. "Ok, start over," she extended her hand and put on a cheesy smile. "Hi, I'm Jeri Garland, but you can call be J.J. Nice to meet you!"

Something that Aaron always seemed to notice was the way his parents looked at Xero, and the fact that they never shared this look with himself. Was it fondness..? He never could wrap his head around it, but he knew that whatever happens between him and Xero through out the years, he would protect him at all costs. Even if it meant death for himself.
Aaron blinked, seeming to come back down to earth from his thoughts, took out his folded paper, though he re-memorized his schedule and Xero's for the rest of year, he wanted to confirm himself on where the dorm was held. He frowned, troubled with himself as if his ability to think was lost, and looked down at his brother for help.
Although she had intended upon actually reading the book she’d gone and dug out of the confines of her sloppily packed suitcase, Gabriel found her mind drawn to other matters, things that completely distracted her from the words printed on the pages before her. Being left alone in the pseudo-silence of her dorm room allowed her mind to begin wandering against her will, and she found herself thinking upon matters better left forgotten. Memories bubbled to the surface, though happy, they were simple reminders of a time in her life that had long since ended with the death of her father, and all they served to do was to leave her melancholy. Even if people always said that memories were always there to comfort you when someone had departed from life, all they did for Gabriel was leave her wanting to forget, and to return to the state she had been in before recovering herself.
At least when she was like that, she didn’t have to feel sad. But at the same time; she also didn’t get to feel happy. When was the last time I even felt like that anyway? she thought, sighing a bit as she shut her red eyes. Gabriel’s heart felt like it was sinking into the depths of her stomach. Honestly, she couldn’t really recall the last time she had a genuine smile upon her face, or a time in recent years where she had let out a true laugh. Not since a time before her father had been murdered. . . .
Ever since Maxwell had come and taken her in, her life had not been much beyond schooling and strict training, which always left her grandfather angered and upset with her for being a weak Halfling. “And for being born a girl,”
After four years of this repeated cycle, the failed regime and attempts to rouse a burst of unknown power out of her, Maxwell had simply grown weary of dealing with her and enrolled her into Merryweather Academy. He claimed it was to temper out her unrefined abilities, but Gabriel knew better . . . but as she was, she knew better than to say anything about it. She didn’t fight it when her grandfather had told her that she was to begin acting like a boy, nor did she protest to being told that she was to live like one when she was dropped upon the entranceway to the school.
She didn’t argue with him because she knew it was just easiest to go along with it. Her grandfather was ashamed of her diluted blood, her pitiable power, and her very gender. As it were, the Sinclair line would end with her—if she married that is. And that was something Gabriel knew that Maxwell did not want to admit. The elderly Salamander didn’t want to admit to the world that his family line ended with a Halfling. The Sinclair family was of the most well known of all Salamanders. If someone mentioned Salamanders, the first clan that came to mind was her family. Of the fire wielding supernaturals, it was said that the Sinclairs were the most powerful of the lot. . . .
They were well known, very much so, and very influential. At least . . . that’s what Gabriel had always been told and had heard. Because her grandfather was ashamed of her, she had never been in the limelight, never had been left to experience any sort of experience regarding her last name, she had never once witnessed if her last name were really so special. I guess, going here I’ll find out if that’s really true or not by how people react when they hear my name and find out I’m a Salamander. she sighed, opening her eyes back up to stare at the underside of the bunk bed above her. “. . . .geez, that’s not in very good shape, is it?”
The coming months weren’t going to at all be easy, especially if she had a roommate . . . did she? She wasn’t sure. Maxwell had failed to even inform her of that fact—only telling his granddaughter her dorm room number. All the old man cared about was maintaining his family’s pride and name, nothing else. Gabriel knew that, she knew that he only took her in because of her carrying his blood, and he didn’t want his only living descendant wandering around the world feeble, bringing more disgrace to him.
In the man’s efforts to keep his name safe and well, he had failed to expose her to their world. To put it blatantly, Gabriel was rather naïve in regards to much about a lot of supernatural families. She mainly only knew of the reputation her family bore, little else. Hopefully, she didn’t step on anyone’s toes with her lack of knowledge. Gabriel did know that there were many powerful supernatural families out there, and that many of their children attended Merryweather Academy, she’d be dealing with some people she could not afford to insult or offend. In line with how she acted, she needed to make sure she was polite enough at the same time in order to maintain decent relationships with people.
When the door handle rattled a bit, rather quietly, Gabriel found herself snapped from her thoughts and she remembered where she was and her current situation. It looked like she was getting a roomie after all . . . and that she was just about to meet him, whoever he was. She needed to maintain her ruse, and pay absolute heed to her mannerisms. If nothing else, she couldn’t the truth about her gender slip out so fast.
”Uh…hello?” At hearing his voice, the Halfling sighed to herself and did her best to calm her nerves and her heart which had seemed to spring to life without her knowing. Tearing her eyes away from the book she had not been reading, she looked up at the door and to whom she would be living with for the coming months. Of course, she had no inclination to who he was so . . . to Gabriel, it was a new and unfamiliar face. Gabriel remained quiet when her roommate set his things next to the door, and simply stood next to the door in a rather uncomfortable silence for a moment before speaking again. ”I’m Adrial…” he introduced himself.
Remaining silent herself for a moment, Gabriel stared at him with her crimson eyes. Adrial looked like a normal enough guy, but then, most supernaturals looked pretty much normal. She herself looked pretty average, minus her rather vivid red eyes—which seemed to be a family trait, as her father before her had the same eyes, and her grandfather did as well. I wonder what he is. she thought to herself, before realizing her quietness and how rude she was being by staring. Face going a bit red, Gabriel shook her head with a slight yelp, and looked back to Adrial with a worried little grin on her androgynous face. “Ah, I’m sorry about that. I tend to get lost in my own head at times without meaning too.” She apologized abashedly, laughing a tiny bit while scratching the back of her head.
Quickly, the small girl went ahead and shut the book she had not been reading and scooted herself off the bed, standing to her full, yet diminutive height. She walked over to him and held her hand out, having to shake the sleeve of her too large hoodie down from over her it while doing so. A small look of frustration overtook her features at her clothing when this happened—the fact that it would be a routine thing to put up with was going to take some getting used to. Gabriel sighed, knowing that all chances for a half-decent first impression were ruined for her, hopefully she still came off as a normal enough boy to Adrial anyway. . . .
She sighed quietly before putting a smile back on her face, “Ah, I’m Gabriel Sinclair. And it’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance Adrial, I guess we’ll be roommates for the next year, huh?” Keeping her hand held out to him she tacked on one little bit more to her introduction, “I hope that we can become friends.”
All of a sudden, a rainbow-like glow shone off her body. "It's a little bit warm in here, don't you think J.J.?" Chris-Alice asked as her entire form started glowing brighter and brighter. Her shape shifted and morphed as she got smaller and smaller in size. When the glowing stopped, Chris-Alice's form had become into that of a Yorkshire terrier. Her tongue lolled out of her mouth and she started panting. She walked around the room a little, sniffing around all the while. Her miniature form started to glow again as her body began to change back to normal. When she had reached her true form, she looked at Jeri smiling shyly and said, "I'm sorry if I scared you. It got a little bit warm for me, so I had to cool down. I have the power to change into any person or animal I wish. So what's your power?"
"No no i'm fine. Just surprised is all." She glanced around the room nervously, trying not to stare. "Though I have to say, I think your power is far more interesting than mine." She laughed and sat back down on the bunk bed, taking off her jacket. "For me, If I concentrate incredibly hard and focus all of my energy, I am able to project whatever I think about into real life. It's not like I can go create money for a shopping spree with though. More like, I can create holograms from my head, of anything of my choosing." Jeri realized she was the first person outside of her parents, or the school administrators, to know about her powers. Having someone else know, and understand felt, well, nice. "Listen, I kind of want to explore the school a bit. My curiosity is getting to the better of me in here. Want to come along?"

He enjoyed Aaron protecting him, since he could have someone to look up to. His parents had tried to pay a lot of attention to Xero since he was smaller. But he wasn't completely worthless. He had some good things about him too. He was very different from Aaron. Aaron was strong, Xero was fast. Xero was protected, Aaron was the protector. Aaron was big and Xero... smaller than him. Xero was just about 5'6", making his brother almost 10 inches taller. It just seemed to work like that and nobody seemed to mind.
He adjusted himself and looked at the building. "Is the first floor down here, or is this the ground level or something?"

As they walked up the stairs to Xero's dorm, Aaron couldn't help but feel uncomfortable with the fact that his brother would be sleeping with someone he didn't think was suitable for.
With more people around, the more harder it was to control Aaron's power and mind from going somewhere he wasn't welcome. Sometimes he could even feel the aura of peoples essence. Even encountering his parents after they died, haunting him from the inside.
Before he realized it, Aaron and Xero were standing in front of Xero's dorm room, the door closed waiting for someone to open it. He looked over at Xero with a frown,"If you want we can try to get bunked in together.."

His expression was blank when he looked inside. Then he adjusted the bag onto his shoulder and walked inside, making sure he was watching the people, waving at Aaron. You guys look like idiots, sad to say... err... think. He had only taken a step or two from the door and sat down, placing his bag in front of him. Then he pulled a small chocolate from the deep blue material and held it out in the air in front of him, examining it and munched on it. "I'm Xero and I'm Bryce's roommate." He smiled again.

When the door opened, Bryce and his crew looked over to see two people walk inside. All four of them paused, as rap music bumped from the stereo system into the room. The overall look was 'Who the fuck are you?' that was expressed on their faces, waiting for an explanation. "I'm Xero and I'm Bryce's roommate." They looked to Bryce, who was sitting on the bunk bed starring at the kid. <Great.... I gotta room with this fag. That his boyfriend or something?> Bryce wasn't too pleased by the looks of his new roommate, but he could really give less than two shits about the fellow behind him (Arron). "Ok..... I'm Bryce." Was all that he said, just so the kid knew who out of his group was his roommate.
There was an odd stand off after that, none of his friends were going to move from their various locations inside the room grimacing as he took a bite out of the chocolate, both metaphorically and physically looking down at him. They just stared at the kid to see what his next move was going to be. In truth, Bryce had no idea that this school was for people who had powers like himself. Him and his friends thought that this was just a rich kids school, seeing as he was going to a different academy that was actually closer by but was transferred to this one for some odd reason. So felt like he could take on anybody in this place.

There was a pause, and suddenpy they busted out laughing at them. "Yo.... This fool's gotta be joking!" The four laughed, wiping away tears and clutchint there sides. "Get..... Get the fuck out'a here! HHHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!" Bryce was rolling on his bed never having heard such a rediculous things. "Vampires are in movies you retard!!" They still laughed at them both, not even paying attention to them. "Hey, hey..... I think he's serious dog." They started to calm down. "Okay.... Okay.. Maybe it's a little game him and his 'friend' play when they're alone.." This was followed by another eruption of laughter. "I'm being serious!! Haahahahaa!!" Bryce couldn't hold back as he laughed hysterically. "Yo 'B' I feel bad for ya, you gotta sleep with him." Bryce flipped them off still snickering and looked back to Xero.
"Okay..... Sorry about that 'Sparkles." He snickered and looked down. <This fuckin kid!>
After three minutes of this - Maire had a good sense of time - she tore the lid off once more and drove her fork into the noodles, taking a large forkful into her mouth. "Ah! Owch, owch, owch!" She swallowed the steaming hot noodles, literally breathing smoke from the heat. "Damnit, that was hot!" She exclaimed, fanning her mouth. The girl only cursed when in intense pain or extremely angry, never any other time, because she didn't think it was ever necessary. "Stupid noodles," she muttered, blowing on the cup and stirring the noodles until the steam went away. "Burning my mouth... not my fault I'm this hungry." After the steam was gone she tried another bite, finding this one was much nicer temperature wise, and quickly devoured the rest.
Her stomach was pleased, and Maire tossed out the empty cup before going back to her top bunk and continuing to write. *Guess I'm not going to get a room mate.* She smiled happily as she wrote. *Yes!*

He knew he couldn't be enemies with his roommate or this year at Merryweather Academy was going to suck. You couldn't just be antisocial and rely on your posse that's going to leave. This kid wasn't going to have a good year either.

Humans and they're adolescence to think..Smh..
Aaron stiffened at the word Sparkle and snarled at the group showing his large fangs, and stared at Bryce," Its funny how you live among these..things...and you call yourself human. You're not even like them...You're anything but normal, and you can't keep hiding your powers..remember that or I'll have to remind you." He looked down at his brother and nodded to the door for them to leave, giving the group another deathly glare that would make them shiver, his eyes turning black.
This year definitely was going to be a bitch. Sparkles here and his parent brother, were going to be a pain in the ass. He listened to the both of them, a dark smirk growing on his face listening. "Yo... They're serious about this vampire shit dude." some laughter still went around, but paying attention to body language they stared back menacingly. Bryce remained calm, calling them on what thought was a bluff. "How did you get into this academy anyways? I'm surprised they accepted you." "You and me both Sparkles.." That's what he was calling him from now on. "There was an inner city project, in the form of an essay contest. Whoever won, got a free scholarship to a prestigious academy... Apparently I was the winner. So yes you're right, once I'm out I'm out... But how long do you expect ME to be in a place like this? I say a month tops... If I'm lucky." He failed to mention, that this wasn't the original school he was planning on going to. Nobody knew how, or why the schools were switched but he didn't fight it. "We can't be roommate's that hate each other, can we?" "Oh we most definitely can Sparkles... I assure you. But I don't hate you yet..." He was being honest. Like and hate, were different things.
He looked to Sparkles Senior (Aaron) his scowl getting darker and more menacing. "Its funny how you live among these..things...and you call yourself human. You're not even like them...You're anything but normal, and you can't keep hiding your powers..remember that or I'll have to remind you." He rubbed his chin, already having a snide remark. "It's funny how you're fucking retarded.... I didn't say or do anything to make you believe any of those accusations. So shut the hell up, before me and my crew drive a stake into your heart or whatever it is.." He yawned pawning these two douches off. "Bye bye Sparkles~!! See you at home~!!" His gang members cooed, and whistled at the frail looking kid as the two left with more laughs. They called them names and profanities, even after they left being their loud and boisterous selves. Bryce snapped his fingers, and a flame emerged on the tip of his thumb inspecting it. "Oh dear..... I could use some weed right about now."
