Sage is a friendly and outgoing person among her fellow Circus members because they are the few people that she feels at home around, often thinking of them as her true family. She wants more than anything to think of herself as a "human" and tends to put her past life in the back of her mind because the memories of her life and death are far worse than her undead life. Sage tends to be a very protective person over her friends and loved ones, which can be seen as a good thing or a bad thing. The ghosts that haunt the Circus see her as a threat because of her acceptance among the living, they are always trying to black mail her or turn her to their side to use against the current Circus performers. She has an extreme fear of the Magician's spirit because he has a personal vendetta out for her because of their history. Sage is very loyal; willing to take any amount of torment or torture from the other souls to keep her living friends safe and out of harm.

Due to Sage's horrific past, she is a very kind and loving person to everyone, even those that have done her wrong because she feels that if she too becomes dark like her past that she'll end up like her fellow ghosts. She'd rather die than be a vengeful spirit. Something about Sage's form or condition makes her have an ease with animals so she often spends most of her time in the pens with the animals because it tends to be the only place she can clear her head and the animals seem to understand her beyond most others. She is also a very giving person, often showering her friends, and the animals, in many gifts and surprises because nothing makes her more happy than seeing those she cares about happy. And although Sage can come off austere and mysterious, she is actually one of the sweetest and most friendly beings that people have the chance to encounter.

B E F O R E - D E A T H
Sage was raised into a family that had little to no respect for her, often leaving her to fend for herself from a young age while her parents would rather spend their time off smoking, drinking and screwing their around the town. Once she was of proper age, 16, they sold her for a measly $500 to a man that lent out young women for the accompaniment of men, and all though her owner made plenty of money from her she never saw a penny of it. She was seen merely as a piece of property to be lent out to the highest bidder whenever he saw fit. One evening when she was 21, she was able to escape and disappear towards the edges of town.

Stumbling upon Acapulco's Circus, she made her way inside begging for help from anyone who would assist her. The owner of the Circus took her in, allowing to her to stay for as long as she saw fit. Although Sage was more than appreciative of the help, she was determined to find a talent of her own so that she could pay back the hospitality. It was one day that the owner stumbled upon Sage stretching and contorting in what she thought was just some peaceful way to clear her mind and think, not knowing that it was some special talent that people came to see. Instantly she was added to the show, and quickly grew to become part of the Circus family.

Sage spent the next 5 years among the Circus, enjoying her new life more than ever. But what she hadn't noticed was that she began to catch the attention of the Circus' magician. One night he came to her tent and proclaimed his love for Sage, but her unreciprocated affections put the man in a rage and he stormed out of her tent. Every night for the following year he'd come to her tent, again and again confessing his feelings but she did not feel the same. The final night he came to her, and when she turned him down once again, he stated that she would regret ever turning him away.

During the show that evening the man announced that he was using her as an assistant for his next performance, and with the crowd watching she couldn't refuse. The Magician's evil grin let her know that this was not going to end well as he bound her hands, feet and neck in cuffs all attached with chains, explaining to the audience that he was going to submerge Sage into a large pool of water, which she would then have 30 seconds to escape from her binds. She wanted anything to just scream out for help, and to be released but before she could manage a word the man turned back to her, holding a knife to her abdomen where the audience could not see, telling her that if she made a noise that he'd gut her right there before everyone. She hoped that maybe, just maybe she'd be able to free herself from her binds as she was submerged into the water.... But the restraints were bolted to her and she drowned to death there on stage, before the world.

What Sage didn't expect was waking up after drowning to death, standing there staring at her lifeless body being pulled from the pool of water and the Magician pretending to be shocked, heart broken even though when he thought no one was looking he had a sly grin of success plastered upon his face. She tried to charge him then, tackle him to the ground and strangle him to death for what he did to her but she simply passed right through him. She tried everything in her power to get someone, anyone's attention but she quickly came to realize that she couldn't be seen or heard. She was so confused and wanted anything but to be there at the Circus. She attempted to run away and just leave, she didn't know where she'd go or what would happen to her but she didn't care, she just wanted out. But when she reached the edge of the Circus grounds she hit an almost invisible wall that wouldn't let her pass. She was in a prison.

She spent many years slowly and patiently trying and practicing over and over to try to make herself materialize and even have physical contact with objects and people. At first she could make herself flash for a moment in front of mirrors or some of the crazier people that came to the Circus who no one would believe even if they told them about her. Then step by step over the following decade she was able to control her appearances and disappearances, and even her physical connections. Being able to truly control herself, she decided it was time to exact her revenge against the Magician. Dressing up in the exact outfit she wore the day he killed her, she made her way into his tent in the middle of the night, slowly rousing him from slumber with soft seductive whispers. At first he did not realize it was her, merely a stage assistant, but he didn't mind and reached out to try and pull her closer but when his hand went right through her waist he jumped up from his bed nearly gasping her name. And with a simple menacing grin, mirroring that which he gave her those many years ago, she reached over, grabbing the gun from his night stand. Laughing evilly, she aimed the barrel at him and pulled the trigger, blasting his brains across the tent wall.

Thankfully, the Magician's ghost did not stay to haunt the Circus with her... at least, not yet. Over the following years more and more of the Circus members began to die tragic deaths that ranged from accidents, to murder, to suicides until there was nothing left but a ghost town of Circus tents and animal pens. Many decades passed without a soul coming or going from the grounds, Sage was almost certain that nothing would ever come of this Circus again and just slowly wither away into a distant memory. That was until one day a young woman came upon the Circus, and decided to make it her own. Sage sat by and observed for awhile, she could sense that there was something about this woman that was much like her... Undead. And finally one day, Sage made herself known to the new owner... and the rest is history.

β–² Sage is the only friendly ghost that is attached to the Circus which makes her a threat and often a target from the evil spirits that haunt the carnies.
β–² Sage thinks of the Circus members as her family, and is very protective of them.
β–² Sage is a "purgatory" of sorts, but is still capable to die if someone burns her remains.
β–² Sage cannot leave the Circus grounds.
β–² Sage finds she relates better to animals because they see her how she is, even when doesn't materialize they can still see and feel her.
β–² Sage can have physical interaction with others but if taken by surprise or off guard, someone or something could pass right through her.
β–² Sage always tries to make herself visible so she seems as human as possible but even when she isn't visible she is always somewhere on the grounds.
β–² Although Sage desires to know love, she has never been in love because she is scared that her condition would scare someone away if they ever got close to her.
β–² The only person, currently, who knows the truth about Sage is Milena.
β–² Sage's condition makes her very lonely and sometimes depressed because she only has one person that she can confide in.
β–² Even though Sage can move about the Circus as she pleases, she NEVER invades someone's personal space or spies on others, finding it immoral and rude.
β–² If asked out right, Sage would admit the truth about being dead.

What she's wearing: The Outfit β–ͺ Music: Trevor Morris - A Historic Love

The Past: Part 1

During the beginning of Autumn, the wealthiest family in Bulgaria had invited Milena's family to attend their ball. She had been to a couple before, but this wealthy family had a home fit for royalty. They had expensive looking furniture, deep red royal curtains that covered the windows in drapes, and real silverware. Milena's family were also noble, and very comfortable with money.. but nothing like this. The most expensive item that she wore tonight, was her jewelry that hung from her ears, and neck. They were a gift from the man she had been courting for a few years now, and they sparkled with every slight little movement she took. They were perfect, and a also a sign that she was soon to be engaged. Her heart was racing at just the mere thought of him proposing to her.

The room soon filled with a beautiful melody that came from an orchestra in the corner of the room, and people began to gently grab their partners before heading to the center of the room to dance. Their moves were graceful, and elegant as they seemed to glide over the polish marbled floor in their ball gowns fit for princesses. Even the men in the room looked like princes in their own attire. Just think, Milena had almost turned down her invitation tonight. Luckily she hadn't.. her lover had arrived.

Milena found it impossible to tear her eyes away from him as he made his way through the main archway. He was no doubt the most handsome man in the room, and even Bulgaria. Other women were looking at him as he made his way towards the one woman his heart was purely devoted to. "Hello." She said softly with a smile, causing her love to smile back in return, but much brighter. That same hello was the one she had given him the first time they had met. He took her hand in his delicately, then placed a kiss upon the back of her hand while bowing slightly to her, but his eyes remaining on hers as she gave a beautiful little curtsy. "My, Lady.. would you care to dance with a man that has had his heart stolen by you?" Ben had always been the charmer with his words. She chuckled. "It would be an honor, my Lord." so he lead her to the dance floor, and every woman in the room seemed to turn green with jealously, and Milena was smirking at that as she molded her delicate little frame to his manly build, now embracing each other lovingly as they slow dance the night away.

Image
The Past: Part 2
When the music stopped, Milena turned slightly to glance over her shoulder to see why the room had suddenly gone quiet. There was a man walking down the grand stairs, and the way everyone acted to his arrival, made him seem like he was royalty. "His name is Lord Tarkenton. I believe he came from England." Ben told her. "Why would he come to Bulgaria?" Ben took her hand, as he saw the other women practically swooning over the new comer. "He's looking for a wife. So I heard. He loves the European women." Milena remained close to her love as Lord Tarkenton made his way over to them, then bowed to Ben before he looked to the woman beside him. "So this is Lady Andonova." She curtsied politely to him, but remained at Ben's side. "The word of your beauty travels across the seas." he told her, but she didn't care for stories. "Now I see those stories are more than just rumors." Milena restrained herself from rolling her eyes. His words were not going to cause her to act like the other women who were in the room, practically falling over heels to just get a glance of him. "This is my fiance to be.. Lord Balakov." The man smiled at Ben. "I see. Well, I hope you both enjoy the rest of your evening." with that, he left them to return back to their dancing. "He seemed disappointed." Ben smirked, causing Milena to chuckle as they returned back to each others company.

"My love, would you accompany me out in the garden? I need to feel the fresh air upon my face." She was fanning herself with the little hand held fan that was attached around her wrist by a thick piece of string. It was a gift from her mother, and each little material'd blade was covered in a beautiful design, laced across the edges, and a peacock feather for the center piece. He nodded his head once to go with her, so she linked his arm, and headed outside with that man watching them closely.

Once out in the garden, she felt much cooler, and more relaxed. It was just too warm inside with the amount of guests that had shown up to the ball. So this was that mans new home? She wished her family could of come to enjoy the evening too, but they were on their honeymoon, and the invitation only allowed one person to be invited with the invited. This garden was beautiful with the amount of flowers around the large grounds, and other plants. Right in the center of it all, was a large beautifully carved fountain that flowed sparkling water over all of it's six tiers. It was of a woman in the nude that had long hair covering her breasts as her hand was pressed against the nose of the horse. But it wasn't just any horse, it was a beautiful majestic unicorn that she had heard stories about. People believed they were just myths, and legends, but Milena believed that she saw one once when she was just ten years old. Of course no one believed her, because children had a tendency for very vivid imaginations.

"I will love you forever." Ben told her as both of his hands cupped her face, causing her to look at him. Their eyes were deeply lost in one of another, before he slowly leaned in to kiss her. They closed their eyes, and began to slowly kiss one another passionately. She could feel how much he truly loved her, just by the way he held her like she was delicate, and the way his lips maneuvered with her own in unison. "I'm in love with you." She whispered on his lips. Next thing that happened.. she didn't expect. That man from earlier was behind Ben all of a sudden when they parted from their kiss, causing her to gasp in shock. She then covered her mouth quickly as she let out a scream as she watched him force his hand through Ben's chest, and tearing out his heart. Tears streamed down her eyes as she watched the light leave his eyes, then fell to the ground lifeless. Terrified, she ran from him with her hands lifting the front of her dress as she ran through the garden. Their was a back way to getting out of this place. She couldn't believe Ben was dead. She slipped into the maze nearby, and hid behind the foliage, silently crying so that monster couldn't find her. Her heart was breaking into a thousand pieces. It wasn't long until he found her, and grabbed her, covering her mouth with his hand so she couldn't scream.

The Present

Milena had been in her office the entire time, working on paper work and waiting for the others to turn up so she could interview them. As the clock ticked away in the background, Milena wrote down everything that needed to be dealt with into her planner. Today was going to be busy if people turned up to work with her. This Circus was in desperate need of new performers.

The second she stepped outside of her office to get some fresh air, she froze on the spot. It looked like she had seen a ghost. One of the new comers looked exactly like her past love, like he was the doppelganger of him. No, I'm just stressed from such a long day. He's not there.. he's not. she thought, and closed her eyes for a moment, waiting for him to disappear. But he didn't. Milena couldn't move. She remembered waking up as something she didn't understand, some kind of monster that hungered for blood. She had returned to where her boyfriend lay dead on the ground, his heart missing from his chest. As she held him in her arms, she was begging him to come back to her as she rocked herself, and him. "Please.. come back. I can't live without you. I need you. I love you, I love you so much." she sobbed, and leaned down, kissing him one last time before that monster inside of her woke again. She flipped off her humanity, and headed straight to the ball. It was a complete blood bath with thousands of bodies inside the building, and out, but the one she really wanted to kill was long gone. She'd find him one day, because she was determined to rip out his own heart, just like he did to Ben.

She didn't notice that she was staring at him at first, but managed to call out to him. ".. you remind me of someone I used to know. What's your name?"

P A S T
P A R T - O N E

It was a normal Saturday night in 1918 at the Acapulco's Circus, showings and performances keeping the audience entertained for hours. Sage's performance was only a few acts away as she stood backstage with a few of her colleagues, laughing and talking as they each waited their turn. It had been a little over 3 months since the Magician first came into her tent proclaiming his love for her, and ever since then he had been promising her that she'd regret ever denying him her love. He was a psychopath that the Circus had tried many times to be rid of, but when some of the other Carnies showed up dead, everyone began to fear that it was him. Sage was the only person there brave enough to stand up to him, refusing to be his even though she was all he wanted. Many told her to just comply, but one thing she cannot do is lie. The Magician had been threatening her every day since she turned him away but what she didn't realize was that that night was going to be the night that it would all come back to haunt her... forever.

As she stood stage right, watching as the Magician made his way on stage, she felt an uneasy feeling in her gut as he spoke, "Ladies and Gentlemen I have a very special surprise for you this evening. I have been working on a new trick that is a one time special just for tonight! And to help me with this amazing feat is none other than The Black Widow!" Sage felt a knot twist in the pit of her stomach as he said her name, and the audience was ecstatic at the news, yelling and cheering as they waited for her to take stage. Glancing nervously towards the other members she didn't know what to do. Before she had time to think, Acapulco's owner stepped behind her and nudged her towards the stage. She tried to fight the owner, pleading that she didn't want to go out there but he left her no choice as he pushed her out into the view of the crowd.

With a deep breath, Sage quickly put her stage face on, smiling as she walked out to center stage, putting her arms up in the air before curtsying. As she stood there, she almost forgot that hollow feeling in her stomach until the Magician stepped up beside her, taking her hand. The contact made her nauseous as he spoke, "The beautiful Black Widow will be helping me with an escape act!" As he said it, his free hand motioned towards the back of the stage where a curtain raised revealing a large glass tank, filled with water. Her heart sank as he lead her towards the tank, "Mrs. Widow shall be bound at the wrists and ankles before being lowered down into this tank of water. Then the curtain will drop for 60 seconds. And when it raises?... You will just have to wait and see!"

The crowd was cheering louder than Sage had ever heard them before as the Magician began to bind her hands and feet. She wanted to scream out, run away but she knew she had no where else to go... And he'd kill her before she left the Circus tent. Maybe this way she had a chance to survive. Maybe if she studied the knots as he bound her she could find someway to break free. She had to fight back the tears that fount the dams of her eyelids as the man finished binding her. As he grabbed the hook over head, bringing it down to latch on her wrist restraints Sage pleaded, "Please... I beg of you... L-L-Let me go!" Bringing his index finger up to her lips to Shhhh her, the Magician whispered in response, "This... is what you deserve." And with that he motioned with his hands for the hook to raise her up into the air, moving her over the water tank. "Let us see if Spiders can swim!" SPLASH The hook released her and she plummeted down into the water, sinking to the bottom.

60 seconds. Sage furiously tried to wiggle her hands free of the restraints, even using her teeth to tug at the ropes with all her might. But the more she tried, the faster her oxygen ran low. 45 seconds. Giving up on her hands, she reached down and was slowly able to release her feet. Thinking that, maybe, that was enough. She kicked her feet, raising her body to the top of the tank. 15 seconds. Her lungs were aching, and she was fighting everything within her not to inhale the water. To survive. Reaching the top of the tank she reached her bound hands up only to have them met by a glass lid that entrapped her within the tank. 0 Seconds. The curtain raised just as she could no longer fight the urge to inhale, water filling her lungs as her hands beat upon the glass sides of the tank. But before anyone could reach her to even attempt to shatter the tank, her vision faded to black.

It was a shock to Sage when she regained consciousness some few minutes later, finding herself among the crowd of the Circus. Confused, she watched as people scrambled together on the far corner of the stage, seeming to be huddled around something. Sage couldn't help but be curious as she weaved her way through people, making her way to look at the spectacle that had been gaining so much fuss. Then... her eyes settled upon it. Her lifeless body, white and blue lipped, drenched as it lied upon the ground. She screamed out, but no one heard.

Realizing what she was, Sage was set upon revenge, determined to send the Magician to his grave like he did to her. She spent many moons practicing... Learning to materialize and eventually even make contact physically with objects and people. One night she made hr way to the Magician's tent, being sure to wake him first so that he could see her. The woman he killed for spectacle. When he saw her he tried to reach out to her but she only watched as his hand passed right through her like smoke. And with a simple menacing grin, mirroring that which he gave her those many years ago, she reached over, grabbing his gun from the table. She placed the barrel to his forehead, pulling the trigger and blasting his brains against the tent wall.

Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, months to years. Time continued on in a slow mist, while Sage was forced to sit back and watch as everyone she cared about withered away and died. She was invisible. A dead phantom among the Circus, stuck in an endless purgatory.

It was a boring ordinary day like any other as Sage bounced her way through the Circus grounds towards Milena's tent. She had forgotten that yesterday her friend had told her that there were interviews today for more talent. Sage had offered to come join her and help with some of the interviews and what not, but it had slipped her mind come that day. She was sure she was late, but Better late than never. The grounds always seemed a lot larger when you had a destination, but too small when you felt like wondering. But at this point it all felt small to her, being trapped in the same place for over a century. At least she wasn't alone in this god forsaken place. But Sage didn't realize how not alone she was.

Sage was only a few tents down from Milena's when she saw a man standing new the entry arch to the Circus. Assuming he was lost, and trying to find Milena's office, she made her way up to the man, gently resting her hand upon his shoulder. "Excuse me. Are you here for a-" Cut off mid sentence as the man turned to face her. The surprise of the moment causing her to stumble backwards to the ground, scrambling backwards in the dirt. It was The Magician. "No... NO!!" Clawing at the ground, she turned herself over so she was on all fours, quickly pushing off the ground as she darted away from the man. The sound of his menacing laugh fading from behind her as she ran off into the maze of tents.

Sage ran until she reached the farthest tent on the grounds, bursting through the entrance as she gasped for breaths. She hadn't noticed that even in heat of the moment, her subconscious lead her to the one place she always disappeared to, to think. The animal's tent. Stumbling her way through the pins, she stopped next to the cage that held the lion Zari. Grasping the bars of the cage as the tears began to burst through the flood gates. With trembling hands, Sage opened the cage. Once she was in, she slunk to the floor as she began to sob, while the lion's large head nuzzled Sage's chest before laying next to her. Thankful for the comfort of the animal, she rested her head upon the lion as she broke down.

Mercy stood at the foot of her stairs looking up at the home before her, just wishing that she would become lucky enough one day to own a place just as luxurious as this one. But of course, with her family being in poverty, she knew that wasn't going to happen for a very long time, probably not even in her life time. Everything in London always seemed to come much harder, no matter what your dreams seemed to be. This was something she learned to get used to as she grew older.

As she stood there, staring up at the house, Mercy spotted a very attractive man stick his head out the window, he spotted her. Immediately her heart skipped a beat and she darted in the other direction. But soon enough he called out to her, "Hey, wait!" were the only words she heard before she suddenly found herself skidding to a halt. The reasons why she actually listened to what he had to say were unknown to her, but it felt like something she should do.

Mercy returned to her spot on the sidewalk, being careful to be out of the way of carriages as they sped by. The last thing she wanted to do was disturb a horse and get trampled. The blonde stood there, waiting on the wealthy male to approach her. Finally after a couple very long moments he stepped out of the home. "Why were you staring at my house?" he questioned. Mercy shrugged her shoulders before answering his question. "I was just imagining what it would be like to be wealthy, to be out of poverty. I'm sorry I disturbed you," she stated before turning on her heels and started to cross the street once more.

The next thing she knew she was knocked unconscious, by what, she wasn't exactly sure of.

Mercy awoke to the sound of women's whispers. Her hazel eyes slowly opened and began glancing around at the room she was in. The entire room looked futuristic, unknown, everything was different. There were loud noises outside the building that didn't seem to make any sense to her. The women were wearing skirts that showed their ankles, that was definitely looked down upon! She wasn't sure what was going on, where she was. The last thing she remembered was crossing the street from that man's luxurious home.

"She's awake," a thick, blonde woman stated to the others as she began making her way to the side of the bed. "Good afternoon Miss Mercy. Happy for you to join us," the woman stated. Mercy slowly sat up as she looked between the three women circling her bed. "Um, where exactly am I?" "Oh darling, you're still in London. You were past out for a long time now. A couple hundred years come to think of it, that's what Master said," the younger looking brunette chimed in. She looked as if she were in her mid teens. "And who is this Master?" she questioned just as the male she remembered stepped into the room.

"Ah, you're finally awake," he glanced at the women and spoke once more, "Leave. I need to speak to this woman in private." The three women did just as they were asked and left the room, closing the door behind them. "What did you do to me?" Mercy demanded.

The tall, bleach blonde male before her let out a soft chuckle before answering her question. "Why, all I did was give you what you wanted. I stopped your aging process and brought you to the future in order for you to live out a life that you always wanted. All that's left for you to do is go out and pursue said life."

Mercy let out a calming sigh as she stood in front of the circus. She heard they were taking interviews for new performers and she figured that she mind as well give it a shot. Besides, she mind as well put her fire abilities to some good use. She was already really great at fire dancing, she could go for that position. The blonde shrugged her shoulders and stepped foot onto the grounds and began roaming her way through the circus, following the arrows and signs pointing to the office where the interviews were to be taken.

As she made her way through the grounds, all the tents, rides, concession stands, and activity booths all stood out to her. Every person who run these things were going to become the people she spent most of her time with if she gets this job. Was it really going to be worth all of this? Was this the place that was finally going to make her happy? Honestly at this point, she wasn't even completely sure.

After a couple minutes, she approached the office and took a seat on one of the benches outside the tent with the other interviewees.

"Uh, it's Dustin, And I'm looking for the owner?"
She couldn't help but grin with a little chuckle, his face expression was amusing. Even though he wasn't Ben, Dustin had so many similarities in his personality to him, and that was the most confusing part. She took the flyer from him gently, turned it over in her hand as she gave it a once over, admiring her own work. "Nice to meet you, Dustin, and you've found her." she finally told him, handing back the flyer to him with her warm chocolate eyes looking up to him with a soft, inviting smile. She couldn't take her eyes off of him, and she was really happy that life had given her such luck Finally. Who ever was up there in the Heavens, they sure liked her, because why else would they reincarnate someone she loved with every inch of her soul. Ben was her life. He was everything to her.

"The interviews are taking place in my office over there," she pointed out. "So if you just wait with the others, I will get to you as soon as possible--" she cut off for a moment and noticed her best friend Sage running off, but no one else would be able to see her unless she wanted them to see her. "There's someone else waiting too, so.. mind keeping her company until I get back? there's.. something I have to deal with."

She left him for the moment, and headed towards the big top where Sage had vanished, then went into the back where the animals were caged. She was with Zari. Milena didn't want to startle her, so she spoke gently to her. "Sage? is everything okay? what happened?"

The moment Sage began to hear someone coming into the tent she quickly sniffled back the tears, bringing her hands up to wipe the trails they had made down her cheeks. Preparing to make up some lie about sneaking Zari treats like she often did or whatever came to her mind. She heard, "Sage? is everything okay? what happened?" before she saw anyone. But she let out a sigh of relief, slouching back against the bars of the cage, not worrying about her friend seeing her cry. She had before, and it probably wasn't the last time. Glancing over to Zari, she gave the lion a soft kiss on the head, and a quick pet before slipping out of the cage, locking it behind her.

"I... I saw a ghost from my past." It took her a second before she realized what she said. A brow raising, and her face twisting before she busted out in a slight laugh, "I wasn't even intending that irony." Her smile faded slightly though when she came back to the thought of the point she was trying to get across to Milena. Taking a deep breath, she stepped closer to her friend, wanting to keep the news under hushed whispers, "I saw him... The Magician." Her expression showed the fear and worry that she felt, "I can handle evil ghosts. But-" Sage couldn't even finish her sentence, bringing her hand up to cover her quivering lips, trying to fight the flood of tears from returning.

After a long pause she once again remembered that she was supposed to help with the interviews. Face palming with an aggravated sigh, "Oh God Mil, I'm sorry. I was literally on my way to help you when I saw him." Inhaling deeply, she brought her hands up to wipe back the tears and pat color back into her cheeks. Quickly changing her sadden demeanor to a light hearted smile. She was good at doing that, flipping a switch and changing her emotions to mask what she was truly feeling. She had too. She couldn't make herself easily readable because the more people who know about her, the more vulnerable she is but even worse... The more danger her friends are in. "Alright, Let's go!" She headed towards the exit of the tent, glancing over her shoulder towards her friend. "Anyone look promising?"

PAST

About two years ago Cyrus stood on the cages of the Circus with a page of newspaper in his hand. It was a article telling about the sad event happened during the show. Their lion tamer faced his death in mysterious accident and now the Circus had to put the lion down. Cyrus was determined to step up and stop this from happening.

He had already called the owner Milena who agreed to meet him. After a short interview Milena took him to the cage. Inside was the most beautiful female lion Cyrus had ever seen. His heart was immediately on the lions side and he wanted to help the animal every way he could. He stepped closer to the cage and Zari rose her head. ”So you're Zari, eh? Nice to meet you. I'm Cyrus.” he said smiling softly. ”I'm sorry for your lost. I'm sure your previous tamer was a great man.” He kept speaking to the animal softly not wanting to scare it. Slowly he reached his hand towards it between the bars her palm facing up to show he wasn't a threat. He didn't touch the animal just wanted to see it's reaction. Cyrus kept talking to her and waited. After a while Zari rose it's head over his hand opening its jaws showing it sharp teeth. Before Cyrus was able to pull his hand away from Zari it licked his palm. Laughing he smiled and petted his new friend. ”Aren't you a teaser?”

PRESENT

As nearly every morning Cyrus had been awake since early morning but he was used to it while working at farm. The fog on the fields of Circus that circled around just before sunrise and the fresh air – He had always loved them. The coldness didn't bother him either, even though he was wearing nothing but a pair old, worn out jeans and boots. Working with his hands guaranteed he would stay warm and get sweaty in few minutes. Even if he was the Lion tamer he helped to take care of other animals as well since that was he had always done. He was just about to finish his work with the horses and petting each of their head walked out of the stables to the other end of the circus with a mop in his hand. For safety reasons Zari was kept away from the other animals – it was a predator after all.

Cyrus always ended his morning round with Zari since then he was able to spend most of the time with the female Lion. He truly loved it and had a feeling she shared the same feeling. As he got closer he walked past Milena and Sage wishing them both good morning. ”You better not to hire someone on my place Milena. Or I might come after you with this” he joked rising the mop in his hand and smiled knowing she probably wouldn't. "And Sage. You look promising today." He winked with a smile.

Cyrus opened the cage where Zari was and kissed its head. "Morning, beautiful. How are you today?" Zari yawned. "Tired eh? Well I still have to clean your home." He was chatting with the lion already ignoring the two women behind him.

She had felt bad for leaving Dustin so abruptly like that, but there would be plenty of times where she wouldn't be so busy flitting around the Circus grounds. Plus, she couldn't just leave her friend without checking on her.

Milena could not believe what she was listening to. So the same magician that had taken her friends life was here at the Circus? it wasn't possible, was it? "Are you sure? because you've been working so hard lately. You may be under stress, and just.. need to relax a little." If Sage was going to say it was true, then Milena would take her word for it, and trust her. Sage was the only person she did trust, apart from Cyrus. She could trust him also with the both of them being like family.

"Oh God Mil, I'm sorry. I was literally on my way to help you when I saw him." Milena didn't mind that she got side tracked, especially with this. If it was true!? then it was slightly more important than a couple of interviews, because what Sage had told her about him? concluded that he was a very dangerous man who wasn't to be underestimated, or taken a fool of. "It's fine. Don't worry about it." She reassured her softly. "Alright, Let's go!" Milena followed her, and smiled at her question, "Anyone look promising?" They both did. At the moment, both look promising.. and.. one looks like Ben." Milena had told her friend about the past before, so she'd know who she was on about.

As the both of them headed towards Milena's office, they passed Cyrus on the way, and wishing him a good morning back before she laughed at his comment. "Don't worry, Cyrus, you'll always have that job. The animals have grown attached to you therefore they trust you, so I trust you." she linked arms with Sage as they carried on to walk.

"Are you sure? because you've been working so hard lately. You may be under stress, and just.. need to relax a little." Milena questioned. She didn't blame her, it was definitely hard to believe for sure. But the one face you don't forget is the one of the person responsible for your death. Sage stepped closer to Milena to speak in hushed tones incase someone was near by, "I know what I saw. He was standing before me as clear as you are... He laughed as I ran away." She couldn't mask the fear in her eyes, "If he's here... I have no idea what other souls are trapped here. So many have died here." She made a plan to talk to Mil about it later when they had more time to be alone, but as of right now they had newbies to interview.

As they began to head back towards Milena's office, Sage froze mid step when her friend said, "...One looks like Ben." She couldn't hide the grin that slowly began to creep onto her face, nudging Mil in the shoulder with her elbow, "Heyyy... That could be promising." She laughed softly, before leaning in to whisper in her ear, "Is he hot?"

Just after taunting her friend, Cyrus walked past heading towards the animals' ”You better not hire someone in my place Milena. Or I might come after you with this” Then he held up the mop, Sage couldn't help but chuckle, "Becareful... 'You'll shoot your eye out kid'!" Before he headed towards Zari, Cyrus added, "And Sage. You look promising today." Sage couldn't help but blush slightly at the comment and wink, while giggling softly. When she heard him mention about Zari being tired she called out over her shoulder to him before Mil and her went towards the office, "That's my fault... we were snuggling!"

Not paying 100% attention to Milena, the first time she tried to link arms with Sage it just passed right through her. Her eyes widened, "Oh shit, sorry." She whispered followed by a chuckle. She then hooked her arm with Mil, this time her arm was actually "there." "Let's go intimidate some newbies!" She grinned evilly towards her companion as they headed towards the interviewees.

Mercy, as she had introduced herself, was a polite girl but he detected slight discomfort in her. He weren’t expecting to get talked at by the woman but some further need for conversation usually dwelled on in the mind of humans for communication. Especially since they were stuck waiting together for a chance of employment. He had experienced it enough times at a bar waiting for a drink.

Well, if she weren’t going to talk some more he might as well fill in the silence. β€œMy name’s Dustin,” he said at last catching on to how he had been sub-consciously reluctant to offer his own name. A name for a name seemed fair after all and that may have been why she was distrusting to engage in conversation. A man who didn’t give his identity had a lot to hide. Besides, there was no real harm in just handing her a name. However, at the same time, he thought her a little peculiar. She didn't want to look twice at Dustin.

So rather than attempting for poor conversation or analyzing Mercy to try figure her out, his blue eyes flickered up and he looked on. Through the maze of the circus grounds he caught a glimpse of two ladies. One of which had been the owner, he talked to for seconds and her companion. He had a bad feeling she was more like a partner in crime, and best friend they way they walked arm in arm. Which meant, rather than an interview, it'd feel like an interrogation with two pairs of eyes staring them down. That is, if they came to the office and didn't take a sudden detour. Not that he could even complain as fresh blood.

Milena believed every word that Sage was saying because she trusted her. Anything was possible at this circus, there was no question about that, and to this day!? she still believes that some of the previous members to the circus didn't just pass away from natural causes. There was more to it probably, but she wasn't about to play detective as she had a lot to do today, especially with the two new arrivals. "Is he hot?" That made Milena chuckle as she lightly bumped her hip against her as they made their way towards the interviewees.

It had been a while since she had done this part of the job, so she wasn't sure how she was going to do, but, it still had to be done. You'll be fine.. just take your time, relax, speak clearly, and be polite. she was silently telling herself within the confinements of her own head. Once they were there, Dustin, and Mercy were waiting patiently. It looked as though the two were awkwardly sitting next to each other. "Sorry to keep you waiting," Milena unhooked her friends arm, and stuck out her hand gently for Mercy, and Dustin to shake. "Sage will take Mercy, and I'll take Dustin." She turned her head to Sage, and smiled softly before her attention was back on Dustin. "If you would like to follow me." with that, she lead the way to her office. There was two interview rooms there, so there was no chance of disrupting each other.

She opened her office door which lead to a organized room that was draped in materiel, making it look like the inside of the big top, and there was many glass cabinets on the far wall that was filled with many trophies that the Circus had earned over the years. Acapulco had once been the most magnificent Circus of them all, and she was determined to get it back to how it once was. It needed its reputation to survive.

She offered Dustin a seat that was sat just across from her with a desk that separated them. She took a seat herself with a slightly open window that was behind her, allowing the fresh air to circulate around the room with it being quite warm out this morning. "So tell me, Dustin, why do you want to be apart of this Circus? and what talents do you think would be a good asset to us?" she waited patiently for his reply as she relaxed in her seat.

"Sorry to keep you waiting," Milena said to the newbies while unhooking her arm from Sage's, then added, "Sage will take Mercy, and I'll take Dustin."Her friend looked towards her with a smile, Sage wanted to soooo badly tease her friend Uh, sure you take the hottie that looks like a past lover. She shook her head trying not to laugh, before shifting her attention to the woman Milena called Mercy, "Hello, Mercy is it? I am Sage. It's a pleasure to meet you." She extended her right hand towards the girl. Once the introductions were over, she motioned for the girl to follow her, "This way." She held open the doorway curtain to an adjacent tent, glancing over her shoulder, her eyes widened when she saw Zari heading towards them. "If you wouldn't mind waiting in here for just one moment, I have to taken of a pressing matter."

Once Mercy was inside and couldn't see what Sage was doing, she pivoted on her heels and jogged over towards the lion. When she was close enough she came to a sliding halt on her knees, bringing her hands up to rub the large cat's ears, "What are you doing out here little miss?" Zari took no hesitation to plopping down on the ground right there, resting her massive head in Sage's lap. She began to pet her head, "Cyrus won't be too happy with you wondering you know that?" The lioness was smart and knew a bit of what she was saying as she looked up Sage and began to purr. "Yeah, yeah. I missed you too."

Sage continued to pet Zari, keeping her calm and happy, assuming Cyrus would appear any moment looking for his lost companion. Zari was no where near mean, well at least to her but she had no idea how the girl would act around new comers even though Sage sensed that she was just curious as to who else was here, nothing more. But she had no idea what Mercy or Dustin would think of a massive lion roaming about the grounds. They didn't need to scare off the few people interested in joining, this circus needed more talent if it is to keep a float. With a sigh Sage watched the lion get heavy eyed in her lap, "That's a good girl," She whispered while caressing the lioness' head with her hand.

"My name is Dustin," she heard him respond. The witch nodded her head at his words just as she spotted Milena and another woman walking arm in arm towards the two of them. The women looked quite close, that was something she always wanted with someone, but sadly throughout the many, many years she has lived she never once had a best friend or anyone who really cared about her as much as the two of them seemed to care about each other.

"Sorry to keep you waiting. Sage will take Mercy, and I'll take Dustin," the owner stated just as Mercy nodded her head at her words with a polite smile before glancing over at the other woman before them. Her name has obviously got to be Sage. "Hello, Mercy is it? I am Sage. It's a pleasure to meet you." Sage extended her right hand towards Mercy and she met the woman half way with her left hand. "Yes," she responded with a soft smile upon her face.

Once the introductions were over, she motioned for Mercy to follow her, "This way." She held open the doorway curtain to an adjacent tent. Just as Mercy stepped into the tent she began looking around. As she was taking in her surroundings, her interviewer drew her attention back, "If you wouldn't mind waiting in here for just one moment, I have to taken of a pressing matter." "Yes, of course. Go take care of what you need to. I'll be right here," she stated just before Sage took off.

Once Mercy was left alone in the tent, she began walking around, looking at all of the pictures on the desk and the antiques on the tables and shelves, everything reminded her of all the history she lived through. "Mercy," a dark, familiar voice grabbed her attention.

The woman turned on her heels and focused all of her attention upon the man in front of her. "Davis. What are you doing here? I told you I don't want anything to do with you," she demanded. This man ruined her life, much more than she thought it ever could have been ruined. All Mercy wished for was a better life, not one that she had to live with for the rest of eternity. Many times she has tried to kill herself, but apparently whatever Davis told her was true. She could only die by someone else's hands.

"It's important. This place isn't safe, you've got to get out of here." "Thank you, but I think I can take care of myself."

Cyrus Lauve

As he got closer to the office tents he saw Zari laying her head on Sage's lap. Smiling he tried to sneak behind her back without the girl noticing him. When he was closer, Cyrus spoke. ”But Zari, are you trying to make me jealous? You know I wouldn't mind laying my head on Sage's lap.” he said joking flashing a smile to both of them. For the two years he had been in the circus he had grew fond of Sage. She was often with the animals and they seemed to like her, especially Zari. Sometimes they talked, sometimes Cyrus was just feeding the lioness while Sage petted her without saying a word each other. He had never minded that, quite the opposite in fact. He enjoeyd the peaceful bond the three of them shared. There had been times he had even tought Zari as their child.

”You know, she really likes you. Probably even more than me” Cyrus said laughing a bit to Sage as he threw a small piece of meat near the lion that chomped it down in one piece. ”You glutton,” he chuckled to Zari and turned back to Sage. ”Thanks for stopping her. I'm sorry for the trouble but she sneaked out while I was cleaning her cage. Probably smelled the new people. But, yeah, thanks. I don't know what would happen if they or Milena had seen her first.” Cyrus was looking quite embarrassed.

”Come on my Lion Queen. Let's leave Sage back to work.” he said petting the feline that stood up rubbing her large her on his waist purring a little. Cyrus smiled to Sage. ”Have fun with the newbies. I see you later and ou can tell me how it went?” He then left using another piece of meat to make Zari follow him. Most likely it would have done it anyway but Cyrus didn't want to risk the lion running away again.

He shook hands with the woman, less than pleased to have been waiting in such circumstances, but wore his civil greeting card. Dustin followed Milena as she had prompted and nodded to Sage in acknowledgement before they went into a different room. He eyed the place she had going for herself and it looked like the circus had seen it's glory days by the trophies gleaming proudly in their transparent cabinet. At some stage of absorbing his surroundings, his butt had found the interview seat opposite the owner and he looked to her as she spoke, getting right into interview process. No, "you look like this man", or, "how are you?" just business.

Dustin couldn't help but evaluate his chances of employment. The circus was something she obviously held dear to her, like her baby which meant she'd be pretty protective but if he looked like a good familiar face...she might be more inclined to give him an opportunity. Dustin opened his mouth to answer the beautiful brunette with delay, much like a taken fool. "I'm really passionate about the circus industry. I think it needs to thrive, as they have the capacity to. And not just any circus but Acapulco Circus." Dustin tapped his lips, trying to hide the smirk that grew, until he chuckled. That was such a tacky speech. Dustin placed his arms on the desk that separated them. "Um, no." Dustin looked up to Milena. "In reality I just really need a job and a new start, you know?" For a moment his eyes scanned hers before he averted his gaze to his own hands that clenched uncomfortably. "But I'm not totally useless. It appears I have some pretty good marksmen skills," he confessed.

Sage smiled down at the big snuggler when Cyrus showed up saying, ”But Zari, are you trying to make me jealous? You know I wouldn't mind laying my head on Sage's lap.” She glanced up beneath her brunette locks, smiling towards him, "My lap is a high honored position. Only the best of the best can rest their head here. Isn't that right girl?" She rubbed Zari's ears before leaning down to give her a kiss on the muzzle. Sage would have been happier staying right there with her fluffy buddy and Cyrus. She always seemed to disappear to the animal tent with the 2 of them when she felt overwhelmed and she definitely was at the time. But she was hiding it well. As much as she wanted to share her secrets with him she couldn't. If anything it'd just put him in danger.

As Sage moved the lioness' head off her lap she heard Cyrus say ”You know, she really likes you. Probably even more than me” She couldn't hide the blush that grew on her cheeks as she moved to her feet, dusting off her pants. "I'm pretty sure Milena has you both beat." She peered over at him with a playful smirk. ”Thanks for stopping her. I'm sorry for the trouble but she sneaked out while I was cleaning her cage. Probably smelled the new people. But, yeah, thanks. I don't know what would happen if they or Milena had seen her first.” She shrugged her shoulders, "It's alright. She's just a curious girl. Milena probably wouldn't have been upset but I don't know how newbies would handle a large lion just strolling through the grounds." Cyrus added one more thing before heading back to the animal tent, ”Come on my Lion Queen. Let's leave Sage back to work. Have fun with the newbies. I'll see you later and you can tell me how it went?” She nodded her head, "I'll come by when it's all over. Sneak my girl some treats." She smirked before giving Zari one final kiss.

She then turned back towards the tent where Mercy waited, sprinting back towards it and entering in through the opening in the doorway, "I'm so sorry. A lion... Well she was out and I didn't know you or the other guy were about wild animals, but freaking out just scares her. But she knows me so I kept her company until the tamer showed up." Sage saw no reason in lying, especially when this girl might be working there. She motioned for Mercy to take a seat in a chair, while she herself took a seat a few feet away. "So, what made you interested in the Circus?" She smiled, "And what new talent would you bring?"

She could of thanked the heavens for bringing this man to her Circus, and even more so the way he carried himself with his handsome, dashing looks. Milena had gotten straight down to business because she didn't want the poor man to think that she was a psychopath for being so obsessed as to finding out every little detail about him. She had only met him for five minutes or so. Her stomach was knotting with nerves.. she had never been so nervous in her entire life. "I'm really passionate about the circus industry. I think it needs to thrive, as they have the capacity to. And not just any circus but Acapulco Circus." as she listened to him closely, she found her arms upon her desk, leaning a little towards him as if she was straining to hear him a little, but she was busy watching how his lips danced over his little speech for just a quick moment so it didn't look like she was staring. She smiled warmly at him, and gently flickered her eyes up to his.

Dustin placed his arms on the desk that separated them. "Um, no." Dustin looked up to Milena. "In reality I just really need a job and a new start, you know?" Milena nodded to him, shuffling forward a little in her seat, then watched his eyes scan hers before he averted his gaze to his hands that clenched uncomfortably, and Milena smirking a little. She thought he was adorable, and she was already impressed by him, so hopefully Sage liked Mercy just as much. Cyrus was already a fantastic addition to their family, and Milena knew all too well of his crush on Sage. It was cute. "But I'm not totally useless. It appears I have some pretty good marksmen skills," he confessed. Milena raised her brows. "Can you.. demonstrate for me please?" she asked him politely, and excitedly, wanting to see. "If there's anything you need!? - I'll get it for you."

The very moment Sage stepped into the tent just seconds after the male had dissipated into thin air, all that ran through her mind was her high hopes in Sage not seeing or hearing him. That would be one hell of a story to try and explain. She let out a soft sigh and took at seat opposite of Sage and took in the questions being asked.

Mercy crossed her left leg over her right and laced her fingers together as she propped them up on her knee. "I found myself interested in the circus because ever since I was a little girl I always had dreams about traveling the world, fitting in...well, at the best of my abilities, to find people more like me. I always seemed to get along with circus folk quite well and frankly, I'm really in need of a job, a chance to get my life back on track. As for my talent, I'm pretty good with fire dancing. I've been practicing for years."

After answering her question, she hoped that she hadn't answered with too long of a statement. At times she does tend to over explain her reasons for things. Mercy just hoped it wouldn't be something to turn Sage off into hiring her. It really would be nice to be around people more like her, people she hoped she would eventually be able to call family, ever since she was pretty much snatched away from hers many, many years ago by that dickhead of a coven leader that she just won't join.

Sage had noticed the male disappearing as she entered the tent but she honestly hadn't the slightest idea that it had to do with Mercy. She just assumed it was yet another ghost on this god forsaken circus. One that she could only see. So she shrugged it off and listened as the girl answered her questions, "I found myself interested in the circus because ever since I was a little girl I always had dreams about traveling the world, fitting in...well, at the best of my abilities, to find people more like me. I always seemed to get along with circus folk quite well and frankly, I'm really in need of a job, a chance to get my life back on track. As for my talent, I'm pretty good with fire dancing. I've been practicing for years." Sage nodded her head with a polite smile.

"Well that is good news. Generally here we try to get new talent because we don't want to bore the audience with the same stuff, just a different performer." Sage cupped her hands together before adding, "Milena is an aerialist, Cryus, whom you haven't met, is the lion tamer and I'm a contortionist. So flame dancing or throwing... Whatever it is," she laughed softly, "Will bring a nice variation to the circus."

Honestly she had no idea why Milena had her help with the interviewing. If she had a choice she'd hire everyone but she had to try and seem at least partially professional. "Would you mind showing me a small sample of your talents?" She motioned towards an open spot in the center of the tent. "I honestly would probably hire you right away. But I should make sure you can actually do what you say." She laughed as she leaned back in her chair, crossing her legs and resting her hands upon her bent knee.

Sera smiled and nodded her head at any point she felt she needed to, to show she was truly listening to her words. Though when the question came up for her to give a sample of her talent, the smile grew. She would always jump at the time when she could show off her talent, it was something she enjoyed, something much more than a talent, it was a hobby. That was one of the only things she was thankful of Jacob for giving her. Once she got her witch abilities, she was able to pretty much do all she wanted with her fire dancing, made things look more entertaining and even more fun for herself.

Mercy stood to her feet, "Of course," she stated before moving over to the open area in her tent. She stood in the center and took a deep breath before magically shooting fire from her finger tips. At first she began to make a fiery hoop appear around her waist, much like a hula hoop and began dancing. Fire danced around her at almost every point of her body.

After a couple minutes she settled the fire down and stood there, looking towards Sage with a smile. She wasn't exactly sure if she should say anything, so instead she just stood there in silence, waiting for Sage to clear the silence.

"Well, how would you feel about being my volunteer? Just in here so there's no fuss. I can work with a pen and apple?" She definitely liked him already, because he could work with whatever there was around him, and that could one day come in handy if he wanted to shock his audience even more with his skills. "Absolutely." She told him confidently. She was a vampire after all, so it wasn't like anything was going to harm her unless he aimed at her heart. Then again.. getting a pen to go through a chest cavity while being human was going to be quite impossible anyway.

Milena got the apple and the pen from her desk, then wandered around to where he was with them in her hand as he rose from his seat. A smile was stuck in place as she came much closer to him with his requested items. "You never formally introduced yourself by the way," her smile slowly faded a little. She realized that her manners the entire time had gone out of the window. She felt bad also for acting strangely odd, so she furrowed her brows, parted her lips, and gently began to apologize. "You're right.. I am truly sorry. My head is high up in the clouds today. I'm Milena." She moved to hold the pen with the apple in the same hand, and held out her free hand for him. "Milena Andonova."

When the interviews are over, Milena was going to have to assign everyone with some chores, because the Circus was lacking grounds keepers for now. In all honesty? she was nervous, what if she couldn't get this show back on the road? what if the previous owners were disappointed in her way of running things? - while mentally shaking her inner thoughts away, Milena paid attention to Dustin again.

All of a sudden.. the room went extremely cold, because the warm air from her mouth had come out like a cloud of smoke. With her body still facing Dustin, her eyes turned slightly to the right, and up at the clock that hung on the wall. The hands were slowly moving by themselves, and didn't stop until the clock began to chime six times. Was that a sign for something? she'd have to mention this to Sage later on, and they'd have to keep it to themselves for now. Especially from the new comers. Milena didn't want to scare them off with the thought of this place being haunted. Maybe they were into that sort of thing? still.. she couldn't take the risk. This Circus was in dire need of attention and spotlight again.

Sage sat forward in her chair, resting her chin in the palm of her hand as she watched the girl begin to dance around with the flames. She couldn't help but be curious as to where the flames came from though. With no evidence of matches or a lighter, she wondered if it was magic. She battled internally between asking the Mercy or just letting it slide. But by the time she finished her little preview of her capabilities, Sage being the polite person she was, clapped her hands with a smile. "Wonderfully executed." Deciding that she didn't know the woman well enough, she didn't ask about the origins of the flames because having her own secrets, she knew not to put people on the spot.

Standing from her seat, Sage closed the distance between her and Mercy, extending a right hand in her direction, "Well I have to run it by Milena. But as far as I'm concerned, you got the job." Just after offering Mercy the job, she heard a crashing that sounded like it came from another tent. Her eyes widened and she didn't hesitate to run over towards the entrance of the tent they were in, stepping out onto the Circus grounds. She watched Cyrus, with Zari leashed behind him, head towards Milena's office. Sage couldn't help but over hear the conversation held between the 2. She hated having to interrupt or intrude on the interview Milena was having with her past lover's Doppelganger but she was worried. Stepping up beside Cyrus, she leaned in the tent entrance, "Milena... I can go check it out if you want." She motioned in the direction of the half collapsed tent, "I finished up with Mercy. I told her you had the final say so, but as far as I'm concerned she has the job." She then glanced over at Dustin, smiling apologetically, "Apologies for interrupting your interview."

Sage jogged back over to the tent that Mercy was still in, "I am probably the worst interviewer ever." She chuckled, "I'm sorry for my constant disappearances. We're just very short staffed if you hadn't noticed." She backed towards the tent opening, holding back the flap for Mercy, "I have to go check on a tent... malfunction? But Milena should be finished shortly. And then she'll let you know 100% if you got the job." She smiled towards Mercy as she headed towards the collapsed tent, "Don't worry about it. I'm sure she'll hire you."

Sage then headed towards the animal tent. Glancing around to make sure no one was around, she allowed herself to go invisible which let her pass through objects easily. She figured it'd just be a better idea in case the whole tent came down, if it wouldn't crush her under the beams. Although that wouldn't kill her, that'd be hard to explain how she survived having a circus tent collapse on her and walk away without a single cut or bruise.

The blonde gave a friendly smile and outstretched her right hand to shake Sage's before replacing her hand to her side. Just then she heard a loud crash and her attention was taken outside the tent. "That didn't sound good," though right after she spoke Sage ran out the tent. The female shrugged her shoulders as she stepped over to the opening of the tent and stuck her head outside. She spotted a collapsing tent just a distance away from Sage's. What was going on? she thought to herself.

As she stood there, she noticed a male standing about two yards away from Sage's tent, just staring at Mercy as if he were checking her out. Of course not in the attraction sort of way, but more like trying to figure out who she was. Right before she was going to walk up to the man and figure out why he was staring at her she was greeted by Sage once more. "I am probably the worst interviewer ever." She chuckled, "I'm sorry for my constant disappearances. We're just very short staffed if you hadn't noticed." She backed towards the tent opening, holding back the flap for Mercy. She smiled and shook her head, "No, don't worry about it. I understand," she said as she stepped outside the tent. "I have to go check on a tent... malfunction? But Milena should be finished shortly. And then she'll let you know 100% if you got the job." She smiled towards Mercy as she headed towards the collapsed tent, "Don't worry about it. I'm sure she'll hire you."

Once Sage was out of sight she glanced back over to where the strange man stood but she hadn't spotted him. Which only made her feel curious. The man very well could have been the lion tamer she was told about, but Mercy had a feeling in her gut that it wasn't that man. That this man, whoever he was had some sort of sinister plan against everyone. Mercy just hadn't been too sure on what it was.

With a sigh she finally just sat back down on the bench and began playing around with her fire. It was something she did on a regular basis when she had nothing better to do.

He didn't mind her missing the whole formal introduction on her half, after all he had done it himself with Mercy, but he just shook her hand and nodded in acknowledgement of receiving her name from her own mouth this time. Milena Andonova Dustin slowly took the items from her as she seemed temporarily in her own reflective world, but Dustin would just like the whole process to be over with. Get out of the tent and on with life then be free.

He didn't miss the sudden chill, when he crossed his arms over his chest as he waited to have Milena's attention again. Her mind seemed everywhere but on the task at hand. And he knew something was weird about the circus as both a gut feeling and the whole bizarre near death experience, just not the characters within it as such. Even the sudden cold nerved him because the feeling felt familiar and associated with his slow bleeding out process.

When a crashing type of sound was heard, Dustin jolted to life waiting for some other disaster to follow though he didn't know what but for a while it seemed quiet and nothing followed the event, which was almost more weird. He looked to Milena expectantly for her to start some explanation but he turned to see a man enter."Hey, sorry to disturb, we were having a bit of situation over there. The tent fell apart. Well partly." Were tents supposed to collapse often here? Dustin was betting not. Like he wasn't betting on a lioness accompanying the man. His eyes lit up with wonder and amazement. She looked to be a beautiful creature with personality but one he'd have to wait to interact with.

"Hello, I'm Cyrus, Lion tamer. The one hiding behind me is Zari. And I don't know if that witch is going to let you join but nice to meet you anyways." Dustin smiled as the man went from reporting bad news to polite and playful introductions. Pretty soon, the woman as Sage came in saying she could check it out instead then looked to Dustin, "Apologies for interrupting your interview." Dustin shrugged lightly in response. It was nothing and by the way she ran off in another direction, he assumed she self-employed herself to the task.

Dustin stood there awkwardly unsure what was left for him to do with all the temporary chaos that they seemed to undermine. He would've excused himself and dismissed himself outside of Milena's office so Cyrus and her could talk more on the matter but there was a whole big wild cat near the entrance and exit. Dustin didn't fear them, especially since it's nothing he'd have to consider much every other day of his life but wasn't something he was keen on passing so casually either. So he was uncomfortably plastered in place.

Milena was about to get the demonstration of Dustin's skills, but they soon turned their attention to a flustered looking Cyrus, who always managed to have a sense of humor during even the most stressful of times. She chuckled with Cyrus calling her a witch jokingly.

She couldn't believe that the Circus was literally falling apart, were times really that bad? starting Monday, the show was going to have to go on, even if there aren't other acts. Their own skills would have to do for now, and Milena could feel that even those were good enough for entertainment, even if she hadn't seen Dustin's or Mercy's talent yet.

Sage was the next one to come into her office, proposing that she could take care of it. Milena didn't even have to answer, because Sage knew exactly what her answer would of been with trusting her, and knowing her the longest.

Once that was dealt with, Milena looked up at the ceiling of her own tent, hoping this part of it wouldn't collapse also. Her attention now turned back to Dustin once her office was free again as Sage, and Cyrus took care of the partly fallen tent near to Zari's living quarters. That lioness was beautiful, and the softest wild cat in the world no doubt.

"Right, where were we? ah yes.. the demonstration. Where would you like me?" she asked him gently. She'd get to Mercy after this, because she knew Sage would of unwillingly left the girl waiting for Milena to come to a final decision.

Sage sighed glancing around the tent, raising her hand to scratch her head before speaking out loud to herself. "Maybe I should have thought this through before offering to take care of it." Clapping her hands together she then began to walk around the tent trying to find the part of the tent that collapsed. This probably would have taken double the time if it wasn't for the fact she could walk through the animal cages, tent walls and whatever else. Probably one of the very few benefits to being dead.

After a few minutes of searching she found that one of the East facing supports was no longer posted in the ground, and 2 of the tethers were also detached from their spikes in the ground. Thank god. She thought to herself. She was worried that it was going to possibly difficult fix that she couldn't handle herself but at least now it'll be easy for her to fix.... She thinks. She allowed herself to materialize, rolling up her sleeves as she closed in on the out of place post. She was surprised how heavy the post was and it took her several minutes of pushing, pulling and bumping it with her hip to wiggle it into its home hole in the dirt. She let her form become mist like for a brief moment as she stepped through the tent wall to reach the outside of the tent. This took her no time at all to reattach the tethers to their spikes that were still in the dirt.

Sage half expected to see some ghost or something as she was setting the tent up, but was happy she didn't as she finished. She was about to head back to Milena's tent when she felt a cold breeze. Spoke too soon. She thought to herself. She felt she jinxed herself just by thinking about it. Something told her she shouldn't turn around but curiosity over came her as she slowly pivoted on her heels to glance behind her. She felt her breath drawn from her as she saw the Magician before her yet again. This time she didn't let her sights linger on him. She abruptly shut her eyes, and covered her ears. "You're not real... you're not real." She could hear him closing in on her, even felt his chest against her shoulder as he leaned in to whisper in her ear, "Not yet." Then as quickly as he appeared, he disappeared. She stood there for what felt like an eternity before she felt comfortable enough to open her eyes and drop her hands.
