(PLEASE SEE OOC FORUMS/CHECK FOR UPDATES ON NEW INFORMATION BEING RELEASED ABOUT STUFFS!)

In this world, at this time, it is an age of adventure and wonder. Of discovering new locations and lands, hidden cities, mystical landscapes that would bring a grown man to tears because of its beauty. Of magic and fighting, of heroes and warriors. Of great mystics, of noble knights, of craft rogues, this is the age where those kind of people shine.

However, it is also known as the Age of Chaos. As recently, large scale disasters have occurred in the world, causing mayhem and destruction everywhere. It is a time where adventurers are needed more then ever, as just recently a Chaos Dragon appeared in a famous city of adventurers, Dungeon City Saria. However, thankfully instead of a body count of thousands or millions like most times are, a band of skilled adventurers were able to step in and destroy the Chaos Dragon before things went out of hand.

Yes, Adventurers. Adventurers are people who work under the Adventurers Guild (Officially, there are unofficial adventurers), and help protect the world from evil and monsters. And while monsters do not have a ranking system (because monsters can be stronger or weaker then their counterparts, and even have exceptional members among them as well as low grade members), and Adventurers do, the Adventurer ranking system is not ironclad and it is POSSIBLE, however unlikely, that a D Rank Adventurer can defeat an A Rank Adventurer. For the record, it goes from G to SS (it used to be S but one exceptionally god like individual with a sword broke the ranking system). Adventurers are free from any one country, but have a duty to help slay monsters and keep the peace in times of crisis. Additionally, powerful adventurers often carry heavy amounts of influence. One or two that reached S rank once created a country or city, and many were surrounded by beautiful or handsome or cute lovers.

Anyways, after Saria, rumors of a boy of ten years old who was a Dracora, a subspecies of the Dragon Race, with a party of adventurers close to his age proved their ability in defeating it, though it should be noted this Chaos Dragon was reported to be a baby itself (as egg shell pieces were found after it ripped a dark rift in the sky to appear in this world that covered half the planet and rained objects not from this world lost to history, but also objects from other worlds rained down as well). It should be noted though that the boy, and his entire party, was made of abnormal people carrying immense powers and strength, and that supposedly it was rumored that powerful adventurers assisted them.

This is unknown to almost everyone, but the Guildmaster was one of the few good members of the Devil Race, but what has been rumored about her is that she beat up fourteen High Level Devils during the incident using her bare knuckles. Scary!

But chaos of the disaster variety is spreading, and things are getting out of hand. So tell me, brave adventurers, what will you do?

Will you be a beacon of hope that lights up the nation, or will you be in it for your own glory?

Or, could you be... an evil minion?!?!?!

Well, that might make things complicated, but interesting. But as forces across the world start to move, the story will begin in a small town blessed by natural hot springs surrounding by cold, snowy mountains while it manages to maintain warmth and greenery around it, the village of Arisa.

This is a world of rich culture, but it is not the culture of our world. However, on occasion, people of this world accidentally wandered into ours, or people of our world wandered into theirs. Through methods such as magical vortexes, or reincarnation. And this may have influenced the literature of our world...which would explain some things. Anyways, lets discuss the differences.

First off, there is slavery in this world, often enforced through a magic tool known as the Slavery Collar and Shackles. Anyone who is wearing one must obey the commands of the registered owner, and at the owners command the shackles, which have no chains on them, will suddenly clamp together like magnets and make it near impossible to move. Notably, both the arms and legs will not just come together with the other arm and leg, but also the arms will clamp to the legs, so in this position they are put into an awkward pose.

Although there are kingdoms that are not fans of slavery, there are things such as criminal slaves where nefarious criminals are made into slaves to serve out their punishment for the rest of their lives. This is because in a world full of monsters, there is not enough manpower usually. These are the only slaves that have no rights, slaves from debt still have some rights. Additionally, if the Kingdoms outlawed slavery, it would be seen as stealing property from others, and the kingdoms around them would likely join in and attack.

At the same time, there is also illegal slavery. People who get kidnapped and unjustly are turned into slaves. Discovering of possessing one of those will result in all your non-criminal slaves being released with their debts forgiven, and for the assets of the purpretrator to be taken while turning that person into a criminal slave. However, these are really hard to prove sometimes.

Another thing is morals and ethics. Well, slavery is included in that, but also things that someone from our world may find weird are normal there. It is a different world, so you cant expect it to develop the same culture and ethics. Although stealing and outright murder is considered wrong, killing someone who attacked you is considered okay. Additionally, although Royalty and Higher Nobles tend to take more private baths with only the assistance of their maids, commoners and even some lower nobles tend to bathe in public bathing facilities or in the rural forest areas, rivers and streams. Additionally, it is popular when doing so to have an adult bathe all the children at once to make sure they are clean. Additionally, interrogations on lower class citizens may be done with them being forced to be fully naked, especially in front of a king or higher noble, to ensure they cannot sneak in any weapons or hide casting any magic. Additionally, as most people do not want to use long incarceration, which would cost a lot of money, or execution or dismembered, for most prisoners if they can help it, as they need the manpower to fight off the hordes of monsters, public humiliation is a common form of punishment in this world...as well as corporal punishment such as lashes.

It is also important to bathe regularly, as magic is very bad at dealing with disease. Remember to use soap (when you can get it). And as only public bathing facilities are open to the lower classes, it is not abnormal to become very close and bathe with friends and family, especially as children. Nudity is not seen as something controversial or needing to be hidden away, except by some shy people or prideful higher nobles and Royalty, though they also do this as a security reason.

It should be noted that the age one is considered an adult in this world is thirteen, though it can go up to fifteen depending on the region/nation. Also, there is no age limit on marriages, or relationships of any kind. In fact, before they reach adulthood, many children of royalty and higher nobles often hire prostitutes and such to "train" them in the art of the bed. Even prostitutes of their same gender, but often that is more a vocal explanation and less bedwork is required.

But it would not be considered wrong for, say, a thirty year old male to marry a ten year old girl and take her into his bed, UNLESS he took her into his bed without some form of consent. That would be considered illegal in nearly every country if not every, so long as it was reported.

This is a world full of monsters, so people are willing to make investments and disregard age differences to a point where no one sees age as an issue really any more, except for a few oddballs or some shy people. Or if they really hate how that thirty year old male noble looks.

Anyways, here is another major difference. There are two moons. The First Lunar Moon, the white moon, Oralius. And the Second Magus Moon, the Red Moon, Ysomere. These two moons can be found in the skies of Verros.

There is also mana and magic, but details of those can be found in the OOC. If not, then I will replace this here with that.

Details about the various species will also be found in the OOC, but if not, replace it here I shall as well.

Also ditto for details about the gods.

HOWEVER, something important to know about is the Church of Kaporeon. It is a mainly human church, and while it does not teach discrimination, but says that out of all the gods Kaporeon was the most enlightened, and extends its teachings. Of course, just like any organization, it has it shadiness. It has a tendency to discriminate against the Dragon Race, the Demon Race, and even the other races to a degree, the Animans a bit more then Elves or Dwarves. Although a good portion in it are honest good people with no discrimination, there is a dark side of the Church performing dark acts in the shadows.

Anyways, as for Character Sheets, I will allow whatever SO LONG AS IT IS DETAILED ENOUGH AND DOES NOT OVERUSE PROFANITY!

OTHER THEN THAT, GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN! AND MY WORD IS LAW!

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF ANY INFORMATION IS MISSING!

Kodan tried to protest the ushering motion, but it seemed we were all on our way. He followed on Bella’s right hand side, Suddenly remembering in a panic he had left his suit at the tailors. He had to have been done this late in the day. It seemed the conversation and the group would have to go on without him for a little bit, but he knew where they were going and would rush to come and meet back with them. He ran down the street towards the tailors, finding the suit hanging behind the counter, and no sign of the old curmudgeon himself. He reached over the counter as best he could, only knocking a few items to the ground. Grabbing the suit, he hastily donned it, missing a button here and there before breaking into a jog back towards the adventurers guild, arriving a little later than everyone else, panting slightly. Obviously only catching a last snippet of what Bella was saying, he stated, slightly out of breath: “I didn’t know you were royalty madame.” No tone of sarcasm could be found in his voice.

"Wait what?"

Corro questioned what Bella said as if it seemed strange, and was not quite sure how to respond. So instead, he just went over to quail and whispered.

"I think she might just be completely and totally insane".

He gave his honest opinion, as others began to come forth. In all the mix of people and activity, including the Celestial scolding the Guild Master, Corro was honestly completely uncertain what to do in this situation. Apparently, some of these people knew each other. Were they all travelers who had met before?

Corro was totally unaware that several of them, if not all of them, had met in or near his own village. This fact eluded him.

Unaware of that, he activated his own Magus Codex in a bit, a part of his mind entering the realm of Spell Storage and Creation that this part of the brain controlled. He saw all of the various spells he knew, the amount of space they took up in his mind and how much free space he had. He didn't notice this before, but...

"I have more space now?"

It seemed the "Last Gift" had also boosted the amount of space in his Magus Codex to learn magic and spells. And surely enough, among all the various commands and words he had learned for spellcrafting and casting, he saw a new Attribute and various words attached to it. THe Spirit Attribute, and what it linked to was...

"Souls? Energy? No wonder it is considered a rare and legendary Attribute".

And yet, before he could finish he sensed something and brought his full attention back as a few of them seemed to be confronting this new guy. What was his name? Peekis? Corro could not quite remember it for sure, he was not paying attention.

He immediately turned to Quail.

"If anyone like that ever tries to approach us, we should remember that it should be totally okay to beat them up, given everyone's reactions".

And Corro said something that was based on the advice his parents gave him. Of course, his parents often suggestion doing extreme measures and extreme responses, and Corro was aware of that.

What he didn't know was how extreme it was, and that while he did not suggest something like "wiping them off the face of the earth" like his parents might, beating someone up just for acting like that to them might be considered quite extreme unless they used some form of force.

And of course, Karolin Baade’s manner of speech was still a confusing mess for Telekhus. Or, really, how she danced from one subject to another in quick progression, without finishing one conversation or thought. It was obvious as well, that Telekhus confused Karolin. Lady Baade, my Lady Baade, oh, hello Lady Karolin. A certain respect for some of the ladies the swordsman has come across, a mark of mocking for others, like the whore from earlier. It was ingrained into him, though, from a young age. Ever since his time with the princess, that he so dearly called friend.

These thoughts came unbidden, and they almost staggered him. Memories, of not a better time, but of a more satisfactory time, when everything felt complete. His father, his mother, the princess, his only good friend in the 24 years of life he has had. Telekhus’ features hardened, a frown appearing for but a second, before they morphed into a mocking, charming smirk. “A tea shop, my Lady Baade? I am sorry, but I do not drink tea. I am a man of ale!”

Then he noticed the group of misfits and odd characters. The wolf man, “Ah! Wolfy! You didn’t catch that gold coin I threw your way? While it is foreign, Bard would have accepted it anyway, that dirty old scoundrel!” There was an excited lilt to Telekhus’ voice, pleased to have such a crowd in front of him. Two children were part of the group, whispering to each other, “Two children in this merry band? A lizard and a pup. Interesting duo, really.”

The swordsman’s eyes traveled higher, before reaching the last of the group, other than the bickering elf and Celestial. The eyes of the last, a woman, who seemed almost...otherworldy. Or, older than she really looked. Her eyes, though, reminded him of something. A painting he saw ages ago, maybe. Or description in writing, that he had read years before. The thought was lost, as he broke eye contact with the woman. “Hello, all! I have a feeling that introductions are needed! I am Telekhus Tiomo Kastor, the Last Kastor, the Significant! I am an invincible man, never losing composure in the heat of battle. Never losing a bout of combat! You may call me Telekhus, and I am a sword for hire.”

With one last grand, sweeping gesture, the boasting swordsman ended his introduction. He winked to the group, before saying, “And who are each of you? I already know Lady Baade, for I was the one who so nobly led her to this very city, for a price of course.”

The question was asked, and his smile warped the black tattoos that swirled around his face.

Bellatroix chuckles at Kodan's misunderstanding. "No no, royalty is not quite the right..." she pauses for a moment, eyes glazing over before smiling again. "Well, I left it behind, I should say, too stiff, too dull... too arrogant." Speaking of arrogance, the man of a morally dubious nature now boldly introduces himself, claiming himself some invincible and undefeated mercenary for hire. It wan't the first time she had heard such bold claims of men before... and some women may find themselves easily moved by such overconfidence, especially those of desperation. With an amused huff she places one hand on her cheek and another on her chest, a smirk on her face, tapping her foot rhythmically.

"Lady Beau Geste Bellatroix, both first and last, though, for formalities I am quite loose, so Bella, or Bellatroix will suffice," she says, with a tone of class and distinction, but the look in her eyes were challenging, sizing the mercenary named Telekhus to his words. "My, that is quite a bold statement to make... invincible you say? I must say I'm quite intrigued, would be quite the show to see such in practice later."

Quail on the other hand looked to her brother, a moment of worry if he'd lose his temper. "Ehhmmm... as much fun as it sounds, we probably should make a good impression on the Guild," she says with a giggle, trying to lighten the mood some. She wasn't joking about the fun part, something about the guy rubbed her the wrong way, especially after that lizard comment. With a sharp inhale, she looks to the man. "Name's Quail Porter, proud dracora... as in to say, dragon," she claims with retrained annoyance, being sure to officially emphasize that... she is in fact, not a lizard. Amazingly she did this without yelling this time!

Karolin soon took her hand off the woman’s shoulder who has amply called herself. Lady Beau Geste Ballatroix. Or Bella for short...How quaint, even with a long name at that she understands saying all of that will be quite a mouthful so she shortened it. Very nice, she had to give a nod to that.

Sadly...It seemed that no one here has a faint idea about a place to brew tea...How sad...Terribly so, she really liked her tea. A terrible shame to not have tea for her. She felt a bit somber now... “Ah...I see...” She spoke hanging her head low a bit. However upon hearing Telekhus mentioning that he led her to the city for a price, she raised her head and nodded.

“Indeed, after killing some tall and small green creatures, he did not ask for a patient of blood or a contract. All he did was ask for a small payment of coins...I do wonder...Are coins magical? Are they powerful? I have to wonder...” Karolin asked as she reached down her suit and pulled out a pouch of something and opened it up to reveal a bunch of golden coins. “Telekhus asked for 11 of these shiny coins in exchange to lead me to this place...And others accepted them with plenty of shock. Are coins really powerful? My parents gave them to me saying that these can get you things you wanted. It’s so strange...Just a small coin that looks shiny can allow one to get items they want...Does anyone have an answer?” She asked pulling out one of the coins and inspecting it like it had a hidden secret to it.

Morigan stepped out of the shadow of the alley. She walked towards the group gathered her three undead guards in tow. She pretty much ignored the demon looking girl's rant. Morigan had pretty much written off ever being able to understand that one. She flashed a quick smile Kodan's way. The others she gave a little nod to. Her guards just glared blankly ahead silently watching.

"I have come to join the guild as well" Morigan stated as she walked up to the group. "If the guild will have me that is.... You may call me Morigan if you wish." She added and gave a slight bow.

"Wolfy?" Kodan said blithely, voice dripping with indignation.

He instinctually straightened his shirt and realized most of his buttons were properly done in his haste to
catch up with the group. Oh! The gold coin!! He thought to himself, realizing all too late it was in his loaner clothes in a pile at the Tailors. Grumpily he began to undo and redo his shirt for a crisp and clean appearance. He listened to the mans bluster, still sticking close to Bella. What a strange world he had entered into. He was not very good with social events or constructs, but even a termite could feel how awkward the conversation was beginning to get. He stood next to Bella, perfectly silent and propped up straight. The ill informed would have thought for sure he was her bodyguard from his stance.

"Ah good, good! Yes! If you can pass the necessary test...don't worry, not something so bothersome as a written test, all are welcome as Adventurers!"

The Guildmaster heard and addressed Morrigan as he walked into the fray, hoping to interrupt that...and more importantly, escape the Celestial Boy/Man that was scolding him. His second clearly understood that was his intention too, but he also understood having all that commotion in front of the Guild would be bad and would have to stop.

"We can talk about this later, boss.."

"Eeek!"

The presence of the Celestial, a rare species of humanoids (supposedly), was greatly hard to ignore when being extorted like that. However, before he could get involved with this group, a guard came in carrying an injured dwarf who was muttering something, and hearing what was muttered, sidetracted himself while telling the guards to reinforce the gates to investigate the matter.

Meanwhile, Quail's senses were right on in the fact her brother was, for a fact, EXTREMELY pissed off. He was called a pup, which was insulting not just as a Wolf Animan but also as a warrior, but Quail was also called a Lizard...and in broad daylight! If people heard she was a Dragon, who knows what sort of can of worms would be unleashed upon them! So this caused his anger to be increased further.

Also, pup sort of hit the issue of his height so that did not make it any better.

And this guy was already acting in a vulgar way.

He then thought about "testing" his new spell he had created....

"Form by my power, Celestial Swords of..."

Yet his spell was interrupted at the last minute by Quail, who while did not stop him before he got pissed off stopped him before he acted upon it, telling him that. Immediately, Corro used an overkill of strengthening magic, grabbing Quail's hand with his own, the Guildmaster with his other hand, and even though he didn't quite like her yet, he grabbed Bella with his tail.

"Lets go do what we came here to do, and stop wasting time with this faker!" Corro said while containing his anger. And yet, just a little more leaked out as he temporarily let go of the Guildmaster's hand and a Spectral Sword appeared in it as he flung his wrist back, causing the edge of the blade that was over twice his size to appear at the end of Teekus' neck. "And if you call me or my sister either of those things again, you better damn well accept the consequences".

He then dismissed the blade immediately and grabbed the Guildmaster's hand as he tried to pull everyone into the Guild Hall. Now, whether Teekus noticed that Corro also turned the ground under him into solid ice during that little outburst was all on him, but given what he said, people would generally agree that the reaction should have been expected. But it was well known facts every nickname he spout out, at least the ones Corro heard, were blatant insults to species that would be extremely hard not to know were insults.

“Lady Bellatroix, an honour to meet you, truly!” Maybe not so much of an honour, but still, he had a facade to maintain. “A show, you say? A spar, certainly! It would be fun! An excuse, as well, to get started with a gruelling training regimen that I will be forcing myself through! I have really been quite sloppy with training, lately.” Lately, of course, being about two years.

“Oh, a dragon you say!” Telekhus laughed, turning to the lizard with wings, who was trying to hold her tongue. “How fierce, my little lady, how fierce indeed!” That wasn’t a lie, of course. Dragon people were fierce, were dangerous. They were some of the strongest animen in the known world, yet still, all of the dragon people that Telekhus had met fell to his blade.

When Karolin spoke up about why the coins had so much power, the sellsword spoke up, “Money is the lifeblood of all good things. Instead of trading goods for goods, what is traded is a coin, either bronze, silver, or gold. They all have value, though I where that value comes from I am not too certain of. Some say the power behind a kingdom’s army, some say the value of a kingdom’s gold stocks. I don’t worry about those details though, if the coins keep buying me ale and whores!”

“From my power, Celestial Swords of…” the sound of a threat was clear in the air. The pup looked quite angry, Telekhus noted. Of course, not angry enough to do anything except grab the lizard and Lady Bellatroix and try to walk off.

Of course, the little pup, still a child, couldn’t hold his anger. A giant, otherworldly blade was at Telekhus’ neck, and the pup said, with seething anger in his voice, “And if you call me or my sister either of those things again, you better damn well accept the consequences.”

A manic grin appeared on Telekhus’ face, and before the pup could drag his little group away, he spoke. There wasn’t anger in his voice. There wasn’t an offended tone. What he said, was pure mockery, sarcasm at its finest, “So, the little pup has a bark! HA! Where is the bite, though? Or have your baby teeth not fallen out yet, pup?! Idle threats are just that: idle.” A laugh from the sellsword, “And you, little lady dragon-girl. Nothing more than a lizard with wings, aren’t you!?”

Antagonism from a man who didn’t fear bodily harm or death was easy to come by. With gusto, he next spoke to Beau, “Maybe you’ll get your show earlier than expected, Lady Bellatroix!”

Watching, Bella would see the exchange between the two children and the sellsword, Telekhus. Without words she observed them, how each spoke and moved, but in particular she studied the man, his words, his movements, his dismissive attitude. There was a way he looked at others, something in his voice, his body language... that stirred something within her.

Within moments the boy, Corro, had drawn a spectral sword on the man, leaving him with a threat and deciding instead to lead them along away. But the man dared them, teased them, antagonized the children to anger.

"Hold on," she says softly, placing her hands on the shoulders of the two children. Quail who had been reaching her limit, after hearing that dreaded word... 'lizard'... once again was about to explode, but instead found herself looking up confused at the woman. Bella had a smile on her face, void of worry and anger, even the trace of tension that many of them have found. "Surely you are not to be undone by such trivial things as words? Surely it would be poor form in front of the guildmaster to hold a street brawl here. The beast is one best harnessed, not merely unleashed."

She turns about to pat Kodan on the shoulder briefly, smiling towards him in a similarily reassuring manner. "My, don't you look dignified now? Heh, then again, I suppose not much coming from one so fashionably numb as I," she says with a chuckle. The look in her eyes shifts slightly as she begins to turn away, with subtlety that only the most attentive would catch, as her eyes now met with Telekhus once more, smiling ever so subtly wider.

"You spoke interest in a spar, did you not, sir Telekhus?" she inquires, her words rolling neatly, almost singsong, hinting an air of mischief. She takes a silent moment to pretend to be in thought, comically folding her arms, rubbing her cheek, before pausing. "Guildmaster~," she spoke again, clasping her cheek and resting her head in her hand, nibbling the end of her pinky nail, a tone dripping with faux coyness. "Would it... would it perhaps be permissible, to include a score based upon a spar," she begins, before daintily pointing towards the sellsword. "With him? Rules by your choosing, of course, and... well, certainly only if Sir Telehkus so desires as well."

The lifeblood of all good things? To trade goods for coin instead of other goods?...What a peculiar thing to be able to trade good things for such a simple item. However her thoughts soon focused on Quail when she stopped Corro from attacking Telekhus. A dragon? A humanoid dragon at that...How peculiar, in her world they were as big as mountains or even a small moon...How interesting...Of course many had their own personalities, it was charming to drink tea with something that was much larger than you.

Back to the matter at hand, as the group gathered here seemed prepared to fight. Almost a normal occurrence back home, the dragon girl and a man dragged them away. It was when there Bellatroix issued a sparing request with Telekhus. Oh dear, a spar! What a thing to watch back home. Many of her kind loved to fight and watch fights. Of course it’s ended with many shattered bones and destroyed squares so that’s why they made an area solely to engage in a fight.

And watching one was good to learn skills so her father told her...Mother also liked watching fights before tending to the injured. She wondered what happened when she tended to them. Spar...Oh yes the spar. “If it won’t be so much trouble. I say we let this spar happen. As is it tradition, two fighters to challenge their ideals and differences or to settle scores with. To deny such a thing would probaly lead to them fighting outside on the streets and destroying whole squares of a city...Also I would like to watch with some tea...Is there a place to make a fire? I would love tea to watch.” Karolin spoke up.

The intensity in the room was quite, overwhelming, challenges being thrown out and people preparing for a scuffle to break out any second. Luckily the individuals seemed polite enough about it, making a potential brawl unreasonable. He had managed to briefly explain to Darius, but his anger burnt bright, despite his injuries, and with that, a loud, pained scoff escaped the dwarf that was held up by the guard who had just entered, a strained grimace covered his face as he abruptly straightened his back suddenly pressed the guard back and hobbling a step, that manouver alone showing to anyone with a trained eye that he was atleast a fairly skilled fighter. He managed to stumble another step towards the group, first now properly revealing the bloody stump his right leg had been turned into, haphazardly healed and stitched.

He was an inch from simply falling headfirst forward but managed to catch himself atop the guildmasters chest, taking a second to breathe before shifting forward, tugging at the master's collar, using it to hoist himself up. Pleasantries could wait, he couldn't simply stand in place and listen to these people go on and on, barely avoiding sputtering in the guildmaster's face he exclaimed "Guildmaster!" He continued, letting out a low growl of pain, wincing and continuing "They're.. Dead, they're all dead Guildmaster, The Blue Canary were all killed!"

The chatter which had previously filled the Adventurer's guild died out somewhat, The Blue Canary had been a B class band of adventurers, rather promising group in fact. The dwarf gritted his death, he couldn't care less about those he had interuppted, firming the grip around the guildmaster's collar, eyes flashing with both anger and desperation "A red demon in the woods... Just outside the city! We didn't stand a chance dammit!" His gruff voice grew increasingly more powerful as he briefly shook the guildmaster, his one remaining leg was shaking and his voice on the verge of breaking.

Meanwhile out in said forest, resting atop his new favorite stone, eyes trailing across that large trail of blood slithering out through the forest, Rafar grew a smirk. He lazily shook himself before slowly raising up, eyes diverting towards the city, then back into the woods, he took a second before clenching his claws, letting his talons sink into the stone, what a curious taste in the air, more people were on their way, hopefully they wouldn't prove too bothersome.

Kodan looked around the room he had followed Bella into, slightly glad that she had asked for a structured fight rather
than a brawl he would assuredly be pulled into against his will. The goblin king was his first fight, and he had proven
himself effective and in fact deadly. But he didn't desire to see that side of himself so quickly again, or at all.
To stand on the sidelines was Kodans place in his new life, or at least thats what he intensely desired. Due to his size
and brute strength when pushed far enough however, he would more than likely be roped in somehow. Kodan clasped his hands
and remained on the sidelines, watching events unfold intently.

(Its been awhile since I had a post this long, but phew...I had a lot to react to and the NPCs got chatty again)

The Guildmaster looked at the at the Dwarf and then back to Darius who had chased after him before looking back at the group that was about to have a heated fight in front of the guild. Personally, he wanted to see the results. He did know of this man named Telekhus, but he also knew plenty of people who boasted less yet had done more.

In truth, he was even aware, or at least highly suspicious of, Bella's identity. That was because the Guildmaster, or rather, the SS-Ranked Liro Esmeria, a High Elf who had lived for over 300 years, had gone on many adventurers himself. But, his aging had finally restarted and he was becoming old so he had become a Guildmaster.

Darius was...older then him. But they had a number of shared adventurers in the past, and he was at least S-Rank. His mind even beyond that. No, Liro knew Darius had a mind that was superior to his own.

In a way, he wanted to see this fight. It would be good for Telekhus to be humbled by Bella, and protect the boy that Liro glanc...

He has a sword again, and that sword stance is exceptional. Just like...no...exactly like...wait, wait. Perfectly like...and with Spirit Magic...oh shit!

Corro was in no mood to let Bella take this away from him after the man had incited him, but before either sibling could get involved Liro immediately interrupted. Rather, after Liro realized what Corro's stance was, and understood from their interactions that Corro and Quail were siblings, though likely adopted, he realized how dangerous it could get if a fight broke out at this time between these people. Damage to the guild and it's reputation aside, he recognized the Sword Stance Corro was about to take. It was the same one he had seen Eric Porter take during an emergency quest with his wife, Lily Porter, Darius, and a number of other exceptional people had to put down an army of high powered monsters being led by Devils that were leading them.

He was not confident on the exact nature of their relationship, but if that boy had inherited any of the skill from that ridiculous man, or worse, his carefree attitude and ridiculous ability, it would be bad. Of course, he did not know if Corro actually possessed so much strength to threaten Telekhus so easily, but he knew that Eric Porter could easily. And that was why he had decided to take the cautious route.

So while blocking the two siblings from the fight, he also positioned himself between Bella and Telekhus.

"Now now. How about we all just calm down. It would be improper to have a fight in front of the guild..."

And I really don't want anyone to die in front of the guild either! Bella can probably control her strength, but Telekhus went and pissed off someone who Eric Porter taught personally?! And that person can use Spirit Magic?!

As expected of the Guildmaster, he had also identified the magic Corro used instantly.

However, even if he was concerned about what had happened, he was now also deeply interested in what the boy, and these others, were capable of. And due to his personality type, it could show even in this situation.

"Also, it seems we have quite the problematic situation to deal with. Honestly, I could let you just register normally...but, how about we do something special?"

As he said that, Darius got a bad feeling as he walked over to Kodan and took note of something. As such, the Celestial despite the difference in size somehow managed to whisper something that only Kodan's ear could catch. Even those with enhanced hearing would miss it.

"It seems you are quite conflicted about something...or maybe, about everything? I am not sure who you are and what your past is but...my recommendation is that you find some people you like that respect you, and stick with them. People who you can have fun with...and will care for you like you seem able to care for others".

Darius only had that much to say because Kodan was a large unknown to him, but he was able to read the mood and his interactions enough to hazard a guess. He then resumed his previous atmosphere, and glared at the Guildmaster while storming towards them.

"What the hell?! You are not thinking of sending them to fight them right? In the first place, we cant ask them to do that until they become Adventurers, so you absolutely cannot, should not, and will not use this to test them no matter what you might whimfully want to do! Now..."

He then grabbed the wrists of Corro and Quail, and began to storm towards the Adventurer's Guild.

"You, Karolin! And...Kodan was it?"

Even though Darius should have never heard the name, he somehow knew it. Actually, in addition to his magical ability Darius was a proficient Spirit Arts user and could communicate with them quite well, so he had learned all their names from the Spirits.

"The four of you, plus you too actually I think, all need to register with the Adventurer's Guild first before you do anything! And if anyone else still does as well, follow me and don't listen to that foolish Guildmaster who still needs to do paperwork!"

"No no! I will do the paperwork later, I will handle the Registration! And then, what should we do about the creature?!"

Darius sighed. He knew it had to be dealt with. He knew this group could maybe manage it, but it could also lead to some of them dying. If they died like that before they became Adventurers, or if the GUild even sent them to that as is, then it would be bad for them. And if the Guildmaster mobilized, there could be panic and he would definently run away from the paperwork.

He turned towards the Guildmaster, and subsequently the group, and replied.

"Well we cant send them before they are even Registered. Which means...I suppose I will have to let you handle it, and deal with it myself".

A chill went through the air as he said that, as anyone in the area could instinctively sense that it had suddenly gotten dangerous. Even though he looked like a child, the way his eyes appeared had a dangerous level of seriousness and danger in them. It appeared that he had gotten quite serious.

"Then how about we just automatically register the whole group?"

The Guildmaster however was completely unphased by that, and just smiled playfully as he countered. Even though even seasoned adventurers would feel the aura that came off Darius as dangerous, the Guildmaster was totally unphased.

Instead, he put his hands on the top of Quail's and Corro's heads and continued to smile.

"Since these two are related to those two outrageous and famous adventurer friends of ours, Eric and Lily Porter. By the way, that item bag of yours you got from her...it likely has a letter for me right?"

"Wait...how did you know about that...or wait, how do you know about that letter I only found by chance a few days ago?!"

Corro turned towards the Guildmaster in shock, especially since he knew about the letter their parents had written for them, a letter of introduction, for the day they would register as adventurers, but not as shocked as Darius was.

"Y...y...you mean those two Porters?! That madman who once broke half a forest during a Wyvern (Monster type, not Dragon Race) subjugation request?! And...and that woman who managed to create a Light Attribute Spell that did severe damage, laser I think she called it?!"

Darius paled when he considered just how much those two had been taught...and then the level of destruction that would occur to the Adventurer's Guild if they were allowed to take the test. The thought of the expenses broke his previous dangerous aura.

"If...if...y-y-you can confirm that, then all we would need is paperwork to be filled out. Well, I need to know if you both have the ability to run across a huge training yard in under twenty seconds, the ability to slay a Demon Beast, remove the Magic Stone that is it's core without puking, and then had your skills refined in combat training..."

For the record, the "average" training session that their parents came up with far exceeded what many adventurers would ever do to train even in this world. It well exceeded the Guild's training parameters long ago.

Of course, not only could Bella (who I don't believe had heard them yet) potentially recognize those names, even Kodan could have heard stories about those legendary adventurers, so it was entirely possible they would be in the greatest shock.

(And there! Hope you enjoyed!)

The group that Telekhus encountered had all pushed forward into the Guild building. The sellsword trailed after them slowly, not really enjoying where the conversation was going. He didn’t really want to become a hero. At the same time, if he could see the children of the Porter’s in action, that would be amazing. The Porter’s were legendary, and he had heard of them during his travels. It wasn’t hero worship or Hero Worship that Telekhus felt about them. He could barely care less about the good deeds they had accomplished.

They were strong though. Some of the strongest. Telekhus had always wanted to test his metal against the duo. Sometimes a self-deprecating thought crossed his mind, wanting to be able to be cut, or to be hurt. Telekhus frowned, before remembering the only person who had ever truly defeated him. He still didn’t bleed during that fight. Outclassed, was what Telekhus was, and it frightened him at the time.

“Before anyone else continues,” the Last Kastor called out, focusing his attention on the Guildmaster, “is there any chance that I could be hired as as a private contractor? I would rather not become a hero.”

Hero’s were good people, driven by good ideals and goals. They were selfless.

Telekhus was a bad, bad man, with selfish goals.

But if it meant that he could find a way to control the magic inside of him, then The Significant would forego his current selfishness for a short time.

“Anyway, if I cannot be hired, and would have to actually become a hero, then I need to know: what’s the pay?”

Still though, money is money. It is the lifeblood of all the civilized world, and if it isn’t in Telekhus’ own hands, it’s really quite useless.

A red demon..? Bella's mind wandered, her composure shifting as she turned to injured dwarf, and nostalgia sank in. For a moment, she looked perplexed, her eyes glazing over. Could it really be him..?

Her attention shifted back to the reality of the now as Liro positioned himself between her and Telekhus, spark back in her eyes as she lets out a silly little snort and shrugs her arms and smiling widely, playfully coy in her presentation. Entertaining as it would be, she had no intention of pressing further if it came to be an inconvenience, and she had no intention of pressing further if it meant fighting this man, let alone getting on his bad side. Not quite fear, to say, but it was certainly a needless risk that'd jeopardize her cause.

"Perfectly calm, I assure you, but I would suggest the merc not to taunt the children so much," she responds softly and sweetly, leaning over to glance Telekhus again. "It bids not an image befit of professionalism, let alone of a man, I feel."

Shifting attention back to Liro, she begins to talk only for Darius and Liro to break into a sort of spat, leaving her a bit out of sorts and looking confused. Quail even found herself lost for words as her arm was grabbed and was lead along by Darius. Things had kinda moved quickly in the heat of the moment, and there was something about tests... there's not going to be a lot of paperwork for them as well, right..? Bella shakes it off and follows along, looking back to Kodan who likely was the most out of sorts between them, reassuringly trying to give him a half-smile and shrug to let him know that she wasn't quite sure either. Sure is a lot more red tape than she last remembered, back in her day, if there was that something needed dealt with, they'd go and just deal with it, then catalogue afterwards... not the other way around.

It was then that the Guildmaster put his hands on their heads and mentioned their parents that Quail felt a shock in her, again, her eyes widened, forgetting entirely too the sellsword's mockery. She never recalled either of them bringing up their parents! Let alone a name! "Wh-," she mutters, big eyes glancing up from the corners to the Guildmaster, mouth agape, unable to formulate a complete response. Can he just tell from sensing it or... certainly not just by her brother's stance..?

Bella shifts eyes between them, listening as they went on, finding it a bit surprising as well, though not letting it show in her composure. Slipping by and whispering something.

"Oh, do not sp-," Bella began.

"Dad is not a madman!" she yells, her face turning red for a moment, standing there for a moment, her pupils gradually dilating. Her expression shifts from angry to more and more glum, calming down in the process, crossing her arms over her shoulders and looking down. "W-well, he wasn't... I mean..."

Bella pauses for a moment before whispering again. "Do take care, the two have been through an unfathomably grim experience, needless to say, they are their legacy, after all."

"Yeah, we'll take the tests," Quail says, quite seriously and confidently.

Bella claps her hands together softly leaning her head against them with a smile. "I suppose I will as well, to make for a legitimate performance," she coos, motioning towards one of the receptionists, before heading to them. "Beau Geste Bellatroix, but Bella is perfectly acceptable."

The receptionist, one would say a rather handsome animan fellow with yellow eyes, staring at her, studying her for a moment, before something inside him sinks as he feels almost entirely engulfed by her presence, yet he tries not to show it, gripping his shoulder slightly. This woman... why am I sensing something a multitude larger? Is this some form of Hyper Density? There are traces of many creatures within her too... a few I do not even recognize! Regardless, he maintains external composure, quietly marking it down on a paper.

"Oh, I should note," she says, waving her fingers around whimsically. "I'm a Flesh Weaver... er... or I should say, shifter of sorts, if I may, I'd gladly demonstrate."

"Proceed," he says, though he took note of what she said first.

Within moments, Bella bows, veiling herself into her coat to obstruct vision of the process, her form receding within. Not even long after does a form, escape from her dress and coat, long and slithering across the floor, wrapping itself around the desk, and the receptionist within. Gray, white, and black, and striped, almost serpentine, but covered in fur, its upper body flopping upon his desk, elegantly grasping her dress, left adrift momentarily with one of its claws. It takes the receptionist but a moment to grasp what had transpired in front of him, and now laid before him, a figure laid back staring up at him, with a purple and a green eye. It was something akin to a ferret, monstrously larger, serpentine in length, and far more teeth in its maw than could be deemed comfortable... and there were barbs now visible, as he traced the creature's length to its tail. But yet... there was felt only gentle tranquility, in fact, she seemed contently at rest on his desk. "You see, It is no mere brag to say I am quite adept," she coos, her voice now trilling, somewhat huskier.

"Impressive, but not quite correct is it? Then again, i suppose, accuracy isn't your concern," the receptionist says with a smirk, poking her chin with the eraser of his pencil. "Alright, age?"

"Uh oh, guilty! I-" she exclaims playfully, laughing with a squeaking snort, before abruptly stopping, her eyes widening and she blanks, her ears drawing back. "Age..."

"Look, we're not here to judge, it is purely..."

"It's funny, really, I actually... don't remember when I was born," she says, quite earnestly. "I'm sorry, it is not that I take offense, it is just... I'm... not sure on it, really."

The receptionist simply marks something down, an estimate of sorts. "All done, now... could you please..?" He says politely, motioning for her to unwrap herself from his desk.

With a grin, Bella uncurls and humorously slides off from his desk and crawls away to coil herself once again out of the way, looking again to Kodan, placing her dress upon her head giving a wide, and goofy, open mouth smile, raising her front claws up and waves with both.

Kodans ears perked up as he looked around, figuring out the whispering was coming from Darius.

"Yes..." He said warily as he was asked his name. As he heard paperwork, he grew a bit anxious as he was
never allowed to learn to read or write. It was one of the many failed ways to keep him docile and
controllable. But as he listened on, it seemed the urgency of the situation would save him from that for
now. He looked back to see Telkaus following them, and his ears instinctually pinned back for a split second
before he diverted his attention elsewhere.

As he looked around for a distraction, Bella caught his eye as she waved at him. He smiled and waved back,
still not entirely sure what exactly was going on and what process of signing up they were on. He heard
Quail, the small dragon child, confirm that they would all take the test. He nodded along with the words,
walking up and standing behind Bella. Kodan stood at attention but was letting his mind wander a bit,
missing the "flesh weaving" comment Bella had made.

As bella dissapeared into her fur coat Kodans attention slowly came back to the current events, becoming
quite alarmed as she turned into the giant ferret monster wrapping around the desk. He had never seen much
magic at all until very recently, and he was not expecting his only friend to turn into a monstrosity like that.
Personally, it terrified him. But he was able to keep his composure, still staring wide eyed and mouth agape
however. A look of utter confusion remained on his face as he slowly raised his hand to wave back at Bella.

Ah...Paperwork?...Such a livley group doing such livley things. What strange concepts and meanings...What unknown things they spoke about...It was quite orderly in her way, normally she would be caught up in a massive brawl at this moment but everything seemed to settle down from a man as he hurried things along to stop things from escalating.

Paperwork? What was that anyways? While everyone was entering the building she stood outside staring. The man asked her to come along...Should she? Hmmmm...What a peculiar situation. She wondered how this world operated, she missed her fellow strange traited humans. She was...so lost really...Maybe she should find someone to adopt her...She no longer had parents right now. How cruel...To be suck without guidance, it was strange...

Huh...She should follow the group. They were doing things, maybe she can learn more. As such she followed behind the group.

And now, the moment they were led into the guild, after only a moment the group that this was relevant for would be quickly ushered into the back area of the adventurers guild. One could consider it a back lot or a back yard, but many knew it simple as the training yard. It was large, it was vast, and there were a large number of cages with growling and dangerous noises that erupted from inside. There was also notably several others nearby, who had also planned on joining the Adventurer's Guild today.

Actually, Darius seemed to be especially assisting Kodan and Karoline on the matter. Indeed, he seemed to have an exceptional tolerance towards all species, but due to the discrimination Animans and Demon Race faced, helped them along more then usual. However, his slip of the tongue earlier...

Well, Corro also took note of that after Quail shouted and glared at him a little.

"Hey hey! I did not mean it in an offensive way! Its just...they were super strong you know! TO the point of being ridiculous! Like, they are truly amazing people for sure, but I was honestly really scared every time I worked with them that if they slipped just a little bit, I would get wiped out of existence!"

Darius gave praise, and some worry, to the parents of Corro and Quail. And then, as for the Guildmaster.

"Oh, in case you were wondering, I noticed it from the stance the boy took just a moment ago. It is a very specific stance after all, unique to the sword style created by that man, Eric Porter. I saw it quite a few times when he was taking out several ogres with a single swing".

"Well, I suppose it should be expected that there will be those types after all. Since there are no fat adventurers really".

Corro looked at Darius' words with confusion, his mind brought off track by curiosity.

"No fat adventurers?"

"Yes. All adventurers, at the very least when they start out, have to pass four tests to register. The tests you are about to do now. The first test is a running test. You have to be in shape to pass it, so its impossible for someone who has not taken care of themselves to be it. And of course, when people become an adventurers they have reasons like money or adventurers. There are quite a number of adventurers who do it for the money and to make a living doing dangerous work like hunting Demon Beasts, but there are also a number of adventurers who do it for fun or other reasons. Your parents are the latter, the pinnacle of Adventurers. Stories are told about them to children who want to aspire for greatness even!"

And then, with all the conversation before they could reply to much else (although Liro actually just had nothing to add at the moment to what Bella said to Kastor), and decided to oversee everything with them.

However, he did notice that Bella seemed to be playing around of sorts. Although no one else could really understand it, he had the experience to.

"By the way, Bella is it? You know, most of the people here right now are either Receptionists immune to such antics, drunk adventurers drinking at the bar we have over there inside the Adventurers Guild, or those who are on their off days and feel like relaxing. And since Adventurers tend to be the wary sort, its extremely unlikely anyone will understand what you are trying to do. Especially those who have taste for your type. What you need to find is someone who will really appreciate your personality though, yes yes, someone like that will suit you best".

"What are you doing you idiot who has failed at love several times, you two get over here so we can begin?"

With that, Darius scolded Bella and Liro, and asked them both to just follow the others into the training yard in the back.

"Now, the first test will be to run from this side to the other side...in under twenty seconds!"

If one were to look, the field was quite large. Although not impossible to run that far in under twenty seconds, it meant people would have to accelerate quickly and give it there all. Of course, this also had another meaning. This was to confirm they had the ability to run away from danger too tough for them, the physical ability to fight and take on, or at least dodge, a Demon Beast, and the like.

However, on that note, there was one vital thing he did not say. He never said that the applicants were not allowed to use magic or special abilities.

"And go!"

ANd so Corro, who enhanced his body with mana circulation and Physical Boost magic, ran across the field. But, he was not running on two legs, but he had moved to all fours and ran as such. This caused his speed to increase massively and made him able to cover more ground.

And meanwhile, he had Darius go back over to the Dwarf while looking up records on what he suspected this Red Beast might be...to gather information, so they could deal with it properly.

Ignored.

Fucking. Ignored.

Telekhus was being quite compliant and, well, certainly not too rude. While he was being quite, well, not too nice, he wasn’t being a gigantic douchebag. He made those inflammatory remarks about the two kids, and the wolfman, but those were observations. If he said the fucking truth, what was so bad about it? If they couldn’t handle a random jerkoff, then they wouldn’t be able to take what so many actual prejudiced folk would say. Most were civilians as well, and what fucking hero would threaten civilians?

Telekhus sighed, looking at the pup run fast as fuck across the field. His eyes focused on the Guildmaster, and finally realized what he was doing. “Why the hell am I here?” he whispered to himself.

Telekhus Kastor, the Hero. What a joke.

Telekhus was a bad, bad man. He had captured runaway slaves, he had hurt innocent people. He killed and murdered and was otherwise a terrible person.

What were heroes? They had glory, they had honor. They were naive. They didn’t understand how the world worked. Heroes died against beasts and monsters normal folk couldn’t handle. They died, then they let the bad people, the people who aren’t afraid to take what they want however they please, win. It was simple as that.

The sellswords gaze lingered on the pup and the lizard (The Wolf and the Dragon, Telekhus was sure, would make a name for themselves, but just not now, or anytime soon), and thought. They were good kids. Reminded him of the princess. While he couldn’t save her, or help her, or get rid of that damn tumour inside of her, he could at least warn them. Or, warn the woman who was going to look after them.

The Last Kastor slowly ambled towards Beau, standing at her side. The pup finished the course, obviously. Kid was fast. “Hey, Lady Beau,” Telekhus said, his tone serious, devoid of any mockery or joke, “you better tell those kids about the Underworld. You can get more information from the Guildmaster, or even Wolfie. He would know, afterall. He’s obviously been a witness to some of it.”

Telekhus fell silent for a second. “Anyway, those kids are going to be in for a damned rude awakening if they come across anything they aren’t ready for. Again, Wolfie, or the Guildmaster for information. Unless y’all want to pay me for the information, then I could tell a grand tale, but completely true, of course. Up to you, really. I’ll be in town for a couple more days, either way, staying at the Corsair Inn. Bard will tell you if I’m in or not.”

With his good deed done for the day, Telekhus started a slow walk towards the exit of the Guild. He needed to think about all his contacts in Arma Torrel. The sellsword would probably have to go to Vlandervaus Bar, and get into the back room to get a job. Would it be murder, or slaving? Oh, maybe a nice kidnapping. Those were always easy.

People bound in a dark world, thrive in it, revel in it, profit from it. Predators. That is what they are, in lack of any better terms. No, worse than predators, far too respectable a name for the kind... parasites... or perhaps a disease is more appropriate... in the depths a spark rekindled and an old desire ignites. What worth is a life that values not? It is better to be erased.

Bellatroix stood silent as Telekhus left them, though a smile still on her maw, there was a flicker, a glimmer of something else in her mind, her pupils fluttering for a moment. He spoke of the underbelly of society, a matter she is quite acquainted with, in fact. It was clear this man was a type that held value in very little other than coin. He was right, though, children should be aware of dangers... but if they were erased...

Bellatroix snapped from her daze as Liro spoke to her. "Oh my, whatever do you mean? Taste for my type? I'm simply playing! A good laugh is all, harmless, it is good for the soul! Being grim would do me no favors anyways," she says, with a giggle, slapping her paws on her cheeks with a wide grin. "Though, I suppose in a way I could be everyone's type, given my talents and knowledge... but... if I were to be serious, I think, I would... hm... not sure, I've never been quite in that situation before... in fact, I've spent more time caring for orphans than really... hm..."

She then heard someone call Liro an idiot, causing her eyes to twitch. "Idiot... failure..? Heh, now-now, rude," She then silently shrugged and followed to the track, she watched as Corro sped through, on all fours. Followed after by the flighty Quail, also impressive in her intense speed, augmented by her wind magic.

After a moment, she shifted again, shrouded by her clothes, her body taking on a more catlike form, still gray with stripes and barbs, and protruding sharp teeth along her maw. Fierce, akin to a large mountain lion, but certainly not an ugly thing. She positioned herself on the starting point, and, after a moment, she crouched down, shaking her rear, readying for the pounce as cats do, her muscles tightening, augmented by her magic. The weird part, however, was her tail, striped as it were, pressing against the floor, the ground creaking slightly from the push of pressure, before, like a spring, releasing energy in a snap and force, as she sprinted across the track, a blur at first with the initial momentum, before her front legs hit the track, shaking the floor some with each impact. It was clear this high momentum, along with her mass would make stopping difficult, for a normal being, at least, but as she reached the end, swinging her tail around, the barbs snapped out like a switchblade, snagging onto the flooring, and with an acrobatic stunt flipped herself around and onto her feet with a loud resounding thud and a forceful rush of air, bringing herself to an abrupt halt.

Without even bragging about her finesse, she simply waited to see the results of the others, tail swaying, ears twitching, a maintained regal posture, with a softness of good cheer... even though a grin like that on such a cat-like beast looks rather... alarming.

A test? Oh dear she was a little distracted with all the sights around her. The many, many conversations happening at once. Everything was of course new for her after all, she was not from this world originally...And why was she under such discrimination as a 'demon' anyways? It was quite rude to demons in general really. To accuse her, a simple human with abnormal features as a non-human...It was quite rude in her opinion. Although...Many of her kind call themselves demons...But of course it was simply simple. Some people could call themselves the slayer of millions yet only have killed small little roaches or the very tiny germs.

Indeed, it was just a fancy name to make yourself more pleasant or even awe inspiring. But Karolin was just Karolin. A female human that likes to dress in this suit. Oh...What was she doing now?...Something about a race? Right, 20 seconds to run from the start to the other side. She wondered why she needed to participate...She could have strolled across it but she could not make it to the other side if she walked...What a problem. Well she could run, the man said to run. Well she would try...

As The race began, the boy zoomed off far faster than she could possibly run, and then there was both the strange dragon and strange woman...Oh wait, she transformed into some sort of felenid creature. Oh dear...They were all running far faster than her...Nothing she could do, she was no highly quick runner. Quite a hard test, the others must be...Oh! Did she spot a strange bug around?

As the demon ran at a decently steady pace, she suddenly stopped and look at her arm. Oh, there was a strange little bug on it. Hello strange little bug. She suddenly sat down and began to examine the bug almost forgetting about the race, even if she was not even close to a quarter of the way through with everyone else reaching the finish line with very little trouble. "Hello strange little thing who got on my arm. How did you get on my arm? You must be quick like the others." She began to talk to the small bug on her arm before it suddenly flew off into the air. Oh...What a disappointment...It flew away...That was disheartening, such a strange creature flew away from her.

Tea...Indeed, there was still no place to make some tea. She really could go for some tea right about now, that calming drink in hand that can soothe her thirst...Oh, there was a race right? Oh dear, she slowly sat up and began to run forward...Even though the time had either run out while she was busy being distracted by the bug and her thoughts or she had no time to run all the way to the end.

Oh dear...She hoped she could make it in time. It cant have been too long to talk to that strange creature on her arm...Was that another creature flying about? No...Nevermind, it was just the dust.

Morigan sighed as she looked at the field in front of her. She was not a runner... Sure she could dodge but running a field in 20 seconds? No not in Morigan's skill set....

Morigan watched the others and saw for the most part they where using powers of some kind. that gave Morigan an idea... she pulled out one of her master's old tomes and paged though it till she found the page labeled Death Gate..

Morigan read the page...

Death Gate

By taking the life of one of your minions or the life of an enemy you can use their lifeforce to open a portal to anywhere within a mile by uttering the words Synis Mortis Portilis as you stab them in the heart.

If done correctly your dark magic should drain into the victim causing them to explode into a shadowy portal. This done simply picture the place you wish to travel as you step into the gate.

Note: you can bring others with you but it is not recommended as their thoughts may hinder the portal from opening in the right place.

Morigan drew her dagger and stabbed one of her undead Guards as she shouted "Synis Mortis Portilis!"

The undead groaned in pain as he burst into a portal. Morigan stepped into the portal and both her and the portal vanished...

Two seconds later the portal reappeared on the other side of the the field and Morigan stepped out unharmed.

"Well that was a trip..." Morigan stated as her remaing two guards came over to join her the undead knowing their place and not saying a word about what just happened.
