Maddox was born into a wealthy family in a small town on the outskirts of New York. You could say he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. His father was a well known and respected lawyer and his mother a surgeon, already well established. His family consist of his parents, an older brother and sister, and of course himself. They are relatively the only blood relatives he has near, but he isn't close with any of them and, in fact, goes out of his way to avoid them. He was born in the United Sates and his family has been living here for decades. They have lost most of their traditions and cultural ideas, so Maddox knows very little about the Japanese and Korean cultures, however he can speak both languages fluently. His parents thought it important for their kids to know more than one language. After moving to Miami, Mad took it upon himself to learn Spanish as well and currently speaks it fairly well.

In high school, his parents were always at the top of the food chain. They were high school sweethearts, started dating their sophomore year and were crowned prom king and queen their senior year. They both went to Fulton and graduated around the same time with their law and medical degrees. Once established, they had their first son, Maddox's older brother, followed by his sister 3 years later. Two years after that, Maddox was born, and that was the end of the perfect little family. His parents both began to focus too much on their work and not enough on their children, eventually leading to adultery and a nasty divorce. Of course, all of the wealth and possessions were split right down the middle, including the custody of the three children. Maddox and his siblings found themselves jumping back and forth from one house to another, never truly having a permanent place to call home. Because their parents spent most of their time at work, the three siblings were raised by grandparents, aunts and uncles. Basically, whoever was available to take care of them. The small amount of time they spent with their parents they were lectured, constantly pressured by both sides to follow their career paths. As they grew older and more independent, the older siblings were fed up. His sister dropped out of high school to marry a guy she had only known for a few months and moved to god knows where, meanwhile his brother picked up all of the wealth he could before leaving the country to study abroad. Till this day, Maddox knows nothing about their whereabouts. This left Mad at the center of both of his parents' attention.

From a very young age, Maddox had always loved music. He would learn lyrics to songs before he learned how to even speak properly and could often be found humming quietly to himself, a habit that he still carries with him. As a small child, he dreamed of joining the music industry as a producer or maybe even a performer. The idea of creating and producing music others could enjoy always fascinated him. Of course his parents had other plans for him, and now that they had no one else to focus their frustration and lectures on, his dreams were crushed almost immediately. His parents, mainly his father, drilled into his head that there is nothing greater than wealth and recognition. Only once did Maddox bring up his desire to make music, something his parents simply could not comprehend. It led to many fights, both verbal and physical. Young Maddox even ended up in the hospital after breaking his leg in an attempt to run from his father's heavy hand. The scolding and drilling only doubled. His father was set on him becoming a lawyer while his mother wanted him to become a prestigious doctor. After a few months, he began to spend more weekends at his father's place because of his mother's lack of time, and consequently, the ladder took advantage of it. His main goal being to pin Maddox against his mother and make himself look like the good guy. Maddox wasn't fooled. He knew better than anyone that his father had been the one to screw up first considering he was the one to catch him, but the man was not giving in. He continued to get into Mad's head, telling him lie after lie about his mother and eventually, after realizing Maddox was not convinced, he turned on him now telling the young boy that he was "too nice" and would never be even half as successful as himself. For a while, Mad's self-esteem was shattered and he started to believe his father's words, but after hearing it so much for so long, Maddox felt indignant. His desire to be bigger and better than his father slowly became his only goal. He eventually began to guide himself and his actions by this. He started by striving to be the best at everything he could. He never did anything he wasn't 100% sure he would succeed at, but of course, he usually succeeded at whatever he did. Good was simply not good enough. Eventually, he became exactly what his father said he would never be. Loved, popular, successful, putting wealth and power above all else, but all this began to fill his head. He applied for several colleges and got accepted to all of them, but his heart was already set on Fultun.

|| Personality ||
Like the rest of his Beta brothers, Maddox is what one would consider the total package. He's handsome, charismatic and charming, capable of getting whatever he wants from both males and females with a single smile or tilt of the head and he knows it. He uses this to his advantage as much as he can, usually to get out of doing something he doesn't want to do or to clean up after he's messed something up. He's confident that with a few sweet words and a smile, he can get away with just about anything and, for the most part, it's true. He walks with an air of confidence, like he's ready to take on the world without fears or regrets. He's loved by teachers and students alike for being very social and passionate about everything he does. As far as everyone can tell, criminal justice has always been his passion. His love of music has been demolished and almost entirely swallowed up by greed.

He gives off an image that doesn't quite fit into the usual mold of the Beta boys, as comes off as kind and maybe even humble. He makes sure of it by pretending that he doesn't know he's good at everything he does or that he doesn't like being the center of attention. However, with every compliment and pat on the back, his ego and pride continues to inflate. His need for power and recognition grows along with it. He's deceiving and manipulative, always willing to use anything and anyone to his advantage regardless of the consequences or who might get hurt in the process, and does it with ease and absolutely zero remorse, but in a way that makes it hard for most people to recognized they're being used. Having a minor in psychology has worked towards his skills of manipulation. He's skilled at reading others and knowing how to get what he wants from them. Despite his appearance of being empathetic and a good listener, he could really and truly care less how you feel. He could charm the pants off anyone, make them believe that he cares about them and their well being, but is only looking for a good reputation. At this point, the only thing he cares about and deems important is to become bigger and better than his father and be able to rub it in his face. Nothing else is worth the effort.

His reputation is important to him, and regardless of what he says, he does care about what others think of him. Being adored is highly important. Whish is why he goes out of his way to be social, spark conversations with strangers and initiate friendships. Meanwhile, there are several sides of him that he hides. His insecurities. Believe it or not, he has them. He doesn't do well with relationship problems. Romantic or otherwise. He avoids talking to his parents as much as possible, and still resents his siblings for "abandoning" him when he needed them the most. So much so that he claims to be an only child. He's not opposed to breaking hearts. It has become almost like a sport to him. He uses girls for a night or two but quickly gets bored of them and moves on, usually playing it off with the excuse that he's too busy and his school work is of "utmost importance" or he doesn't want to be a "bad boyfriend" because he knows he'll end up focusing too much on his work. It's simply the easiest way to get rid of them without hurting his reputation, all the while avoiding catching any feelings.

What he tries to hide the most is his bisexuality. He figured it out during his senior year of high school when he "accidentally" had a make-out session with one of his close friends. He hasn't spoken to him since, and refuses to accept the fact that it happened. He ignores this side of himself as much as he can, usually with success, but every so often it hits him like a freight train. He's never let it show, and his usual way of dealing is by sleeping with as many girls as he possible can to convince himself that it's only a whim. For the most part, it works, but there are instances when he just can't deny it. As a child, Maddox was a kind soul with a heart of gold. He always tried his best not to disappoint his parents and the people around him. He's always been social and charismatic, so making friends was (and still is) easy for him, but as he grew older, circumstances hardened him both inside and out.But truthfully, deep down, very deep down hidden under the ego and greed, he's still that small kind-hearted boy needing to be accepted.

|| Thoughts on Greek Life ||
"What's not to love" is his usual response when anyone asks him about living with the Betas. But in reality, there are some things about the Beta life that Maddox doesn't like. For one, having to constantly hide a part of himself. After a while, it begins to take a toll on him and he hates knowing that he'll most likely be kicked out if the president ever finds out. There's also the constant pressure of having to be the greatest at everything. Yes, he's good at doing that just like the rest of his brother, but sometimes he just needs a break. On the other hand, he loves being at the top of the food chain with the Beta boys. He gets along with his brothers, despite having to hide things from them and loves the fact that the entire campus' attention are usually on them. It makes him feel like he's already doing better than his father ever did. He's friends with the Beta boys for the most part, but there will always be that underlying lack of trust.

|| Plans for after college ||
Maddox's only plans at the moment are to become a well-known and successful lawyer. The kind of lawyer that wins every single case, regardless of what he needs to do to get there. His fearless and impulsive persona are what drive him despite his dislike for his major.

Sometime in the future, Mad plans on opening his own law firm and put his father's firm out of business

Mad will never be found walking around campus in sweatpants and hoodie, unless he's really having a bad day and can't be bothered to dress properly. But he will also never be seen walking around in a full suit and tie. He usually stays right in between, wearing a nice pair of jeans and t-shirt with a jacket or blazer over it, or a simple shirt and jeans when it's too hot for anything else. He generally has a good fashion sense, always looking dapper but never overdressed. If attending a formal event, he tends to not wear ties unless it's required. He finds he looks better without them. He hates bowties and will never wear one, not if he can help it. His jet black hair is usually styled back or simply parted to the side, hanging loosely over his face. He likes keeping it a bit grown out and refuses to cut it any shorter even though his hair usually what causes people to compare him to an anime character. He's got a deep yet soft voice that matches well with the way he looks, and he tries to not speak too loudly, but loud enough to ensure others can hear him. His most charming point is his smile, so he's told. A genuine smile lights up his face and makes him appear sweet and caring, which is why he tends to avoid smiling as much as he can. A smirk will always do the trick.

Location: Miami, Florida, USA
Time: 8:15 PM
Most people spend Sunday trying to prepare themselves for the droll and unwanted responsibilities that come about come the dreaded Monday morning. They sip their tea, drink that last bit of wine, and lay in bed trying to decide if they're really going to be petty enough to pretend like they're sick in this call to their office, scrounging up every excuse in the book as to why they can't go to work, school, or wherever the daylight happens to take them. However, for the students at Fulton University, instead of the lackadaisical doings of their typical Sunday evenings, the air around campus (and throughout the city) is alive with anticipation as people pre-game and prepare for a night of carefree drinking, dancing, and even drama...

...especially drama, particularly when the Greek life students are involved.

Some students are still in dorms, apartments and houses getting ready for the Guys in Ties & Girls in Pearls event hosted by Fulton's own Greek Life Alumna Association. Girls are just finishing the finishing touches to their hair or just sliding into velvet dresses, lacing up and slipping into heels of various styles. Sipping on glasses of wine or champagne, giggling over their shared excitement over how the night could unfold and the plans they've already made. Maybe even the tipsiness they already have. And guys are fastening on cuff links, straightening up the suits some just got from dry-cleaning or delivered by their favorite tailoring services. Quaffing glasses of scotch or taking shots to the head in preparation for how absolutely trashed they're bound to be by night's end.

Regardless of where everyone is - even those who are known for being rather prompt as opposed to fashionably late - it's bound to be a night of sensuous, luxurious, riveting and possibly even scandalous fun...so just like the Alumna Association asked on twitter, where can we find you?

The silver iPhone, clutched in the hand of one slumbering Cyrus James, buzzes with the alert of a new text and jolt the Sigma boy from his unplanned napping. Cyrus cracks one of his eyes open, and turns the phone in his hand to check the message. His corneas are blasted with bright light and his one eye rapidly shuts, a groan escaping through his hoarse voice. The head on his chest is jostled, but simply rolls off Cyrus and he feels a naked back press up against him, long hair tickling the soft skin of his back. Brittany? Brianna? He couldn't remember, though this is the second time she's made her place in his bed.

The text message is from Ya Ya, his unlikely Alpha friend, asking him when he would be there. He didn't plan on arriving anytime soon, he would wait as long as socially acceptable, and then make his appearance to appease the Sigma alumni; he wasn't going to be president anytime soon if he didn't show up to things. Still, knowing that Ya Ya was one the current students helping, he didn't want her to be all alone at the set-up. Sure, there would be other students there to keep her company, but he assumed if she was making a point to text him, she wanted him there soon. He slowly rises into a sitting position and runs a hand through his messy hair, starting a reply to the Alpha.

[To: Ya. wasn't planning on arriving any time soon. want me there?]

"You leavin'?" A muffled voice comes from the other side of the bed, the girl whose name he wants to remember. She turns around for an answer, and he silently nods at her. She gets up from the bed, her naked body glossed in the low lights currently glowing in his bedroom, and shimmies into her underwear, taking Cyrus' dress shirt from the night before and pulling it on. She stuffs her other clothes into her large designer bag and turns to say goodbye. "I'll see you tonight, then." Cyrus quips, and the Zeta alum makes her exit, but only after leaving a long kiss on Cyrus' mouth. He smirks until she leaves, then settling his face on a neutral expression. His outfit for tonight is hanging outside his closet, but he wants to eat before he gets all gussied up. He most likely wouldn't be eating tonight, too busy schmoozing with the alum. Before he makes his way downstairs to the kitchen, he texts Maddox.

[To: Maddy. bet you're looking sexy tonight. my bed's been pretty cold at the Sigma house, wanna help me out?]

If that even happened, Maddox would probably insist on having their fun at Cyrus' penthouse, instead of the risk of sneaking into the Sigma house; but the risk was what made it so exciting. Cyrus admits he probably should be giving the boy some space, considering his feelings for the Beta only multiply when they're near each other, but they haven't done anything in a week or so and Cyrus is getting antsy. He's only hooked up with the Zeta alum in that week, but thinks about hitting up Charlotte if Maddox denies his offer. Oh man, what that Alpha could do to him...

Cyrus fills himself up with leftover Chinese takeout and enough whiskey to get him feeling loose. If he was going to be stuck in a room with a bunch of Betas, especially an alum party where his father might show up, he needed to be drunk. No, not buzzed, not "feeling good", drunk. Maybe he would even bring some weed or something. He suspected Andre would make a point to personally invite Reid James, just because Cyrus was required to attend. So, no matter what Ya Ya wanted, he would have to decline, because the more time spent with his father, the earlier he would leave, and that's not an option.

After his dinner, he slid into his clothes without a hint of hurry, considering he didn't want to be there on time; he might even stop by the Sigma house and ride with some of those guys to the event. Showing up in a flurry of loud Sigmas would just be wonderful for his father, surrounded by Beta alum. The thought alone puts a wicked smile on his face. Cyrus sends out one more text before delicately slicking his hair back for the night. Eventually, it would be ruined by something, or someone, but it never hurt to do it anyway.

[To: Mick, Jazz. Might need you two tonight. Daddy's coming.]

Tonight's event is important and thus requires everyone's presence, the Betas' especially. Maddox knows this, which is why he's pressed, dressed and ready to go when he would really rather be doing other things. Parties aren't exactly his cup of tea (which he highly dislikes) but Guys in Ties, Girls in Pearls is a Fulton tradition a social butterfly can't afford to miss. Tossing the book in his hand aside with a huff, after reading the same line about seven times without it registering, he props himself up off the lavish leather couch and checks the mirror one more time. Suits may not be his preferred attire, but he's got to admit he looks rather dashing in them.

Archie what on earth are you doing? You've had me waiting out here for decades". Exaggeration comes easily to Maddox, more so when he's talking to his little brother. He could say the most outrageous things and Archie would simply brush it off with a laugh, which is probably why the too get along so well. In truth, Mad has only been waiting for a couple of minutes, but the desire to get this party over and done with has made it feel like much longer. The only reason he's at the Beta's house and not his own apartment sipping on too strong coffee and planning to arrive very fashionably late is because of his agreement with Archie to arrive at the party together. The others have most likely left already, but Maddox has no issue with staying behind.

A buzz coming from underneath one of the couch cushions pulls his attention away from the full length mirror as he searches to find which stuffed square swallowed up his cell phone. He's not one to get worked up easily, except for when he can't find something he needs. The electronic buzzes again, causing a yellow light to shine from underneath one of the cushions to his right. Phone in hand, he settles down to look through it, not entirely sure how much longer it will be until they can leave the Beta house behind. The flashing screen reveals 4 unread messages, 2 of which he doesn't necessarily care for, another from Andre wondering where the hell they are, and only one that genuinely catches his interest.

||From Cy: bet you're looking sexy tonight. my bed's been pretty cold at the Sigma house, wanna help me out? ||

Despite his efforts, Mad can't help but grin at the message in front of him. It has been a few days since he's heard from the blondie and was beginning to actually miss him. Not that he'd ever admit that to Cyrus' face, nor would he admit it to himself. Though in all honestly, perhaps it's a good idea to stay away from him, considering things are beginning to get a little too deep for Mad's comfort. Not to mention, having their little adventures at the sigma house is beyond risky. If one of the Sigma guys were to catch him there, that'd be the end of Maddox's career as a Beta. And for what? Some ridiculously attractive guy that probably only likes him for the sex? Ignoring or denying the offer is clearly the smarter option, and Maddox is a smart guy. Most of the time.

||To Cy: Challenge accepted ;) ||

Knowing that he just made a very risky move gives Maddox even more of a desire to reach the party, or better yet, to reach the end of it. Choosing to ignore the rest of the incoming alerts, the junior picks up his step in search of Archie, finally finding him in a bedroom, stationed in front of a mirror. Not surprising in the least. Arms folded against his chest and head cocked to the right, Mad leans against the door frame to observe until the other realizes he's there. "If I wake up with gray hairs tomorrow, it's on you" he jokes, usual smirk in place. It's only been a minute or two since Maddox last called for him, but if there is one things Mad doesn't posses in the slightest bit, it's patience.

"Archie what on earth are you doing? You've had me waiting out here for decades." With a chuckle, Archie brushes off his Big Brother's exaggerated claims. "Yeah, yeah Mad," He replies with a roll of his eyes, "I'll be out in a sec." Combing a hand through his hair, Archie sighs as he adjusts his bow tie, thinking about what kind of mayhem he might get up to tonight. Whilst he's on that thought, Archie pulls out his phone and shoots off a few texts. With his first was an attached image of Archie and his outfit.

To: Eli
ATTACHMENT : PICTURE
Idk if ur gonna be able to keep ur hands off me tonite ;-)

Archie meant it purely as a joke, but he knew it would rile her up which would make for a great laugh. And then, as his mind drifts to more, confusing friends, he shoots another text off to Naomi.

To: Omi
U need a hot date for tonite? Hmu

After sending off his final message, Archie heads over to his bed and gets on his knees, grabbing a small, silver box out from underneath it, he takes a seat on his bed, trying not to crease his trousers as he does. They cost enough that he didn't plan on fucking them up before the party even started. Opening the lid, Archie smiles down at the contents before sticking his hands into the tin and pulling out some rolling papers. The look on his face resembled that of a child in a candy store. Deciding to pre-roll some joints for after the party, Archie gets to work with his delicate touch using a cherry paper - his personal favourite, although birthday cake was a close second.

Finishing his perfect roll, Archie slips the joint between his lips before jumping up off of the bed to give his appearance one last look over. With a slightly jump, Archie silently curses Maddox for creeping up on him like that. "If I wake up with gray hairs tomorrow, it's on you." Turning around so that he is now facing his Big Brother, Archie laughs, "Dude you seriously need to chill," Archie says as he then lights the joint and offers it to Maddox, heading over to his bedroom window and opening as wide as it would go. Of course they weren't allowed weed in the Beta house, but that wasn't gonna stop Archie, if they smoked it out the window and then sprayed a load of aftershave, the stench of weed would be covered well enough. "This should help." Archie's grin goes from ear to ear as he watches his Big take a drag.

"Shit, almost forgot about pre drinks," Heading over to the mini fridge he kept in his bedroom, purely for alcohol, Archie chucks Maddox a beer. "No one turns up to a party sober these days." Archie kids, sending the elder boy a wink. "So who am I wingman-ing you for tonight?" Archie asks, knowing that Maddox was his number one guy when he needed someone to talk him up to girl (as well as guys - on the sly) and vice versa. "You still mooning over, what's his name..." Archie pauses to think for a minute, despite knowing exactly who he was talking about, "Oh yeah - Cyrus." Archie finally says, his grin being replaced by a mischievous smirk. Hoping that what he had brought up would make Maddox blush (which he didn't doubt it would), Archie leans back against the windowsill taking a sip of his drink as he reaches out for the joint that was in Maddox's hand.

An occasion such as this requires a clean-shaven Andre with his signature man-bun, and so he appears, dressed in summery tones and ready to schmooze. Andre is the delegated alumni relations of Beta Gamma Omega, and so he came early, like the rest of the alumni committee, and made sure everything is in order; that includes, for Andre at least, making sure one very special Beta alumni makes his appearance at the party. Reid James, one of the highest paid news anchors on American TV today, and the father of the boy he once called his best friend. If anyone heard that now they would laugh, considering the almost infamous rivalry between Sigma Chi Delta's Cyrus "Mary Jane" James and Andres "Valentine" Rocha.

But tonight isn't about that, and Andre refuses to let that be the topic of his evening. He may have invited Cyrus's father to the event personally, but only to watch the drama transpire from a comfortable distance. His night would be about schmoozing Beta alum and hanging out with his brothers, showing everyone at the party why Betas are the best.

Speaking of Betas, his other brothers should be arriving any minute. Hudson left the house earlier today to dine with one Aubrey Green, the president of Alpha Theta Pi, and one girl he wouldn't hesitate to take to bed. He hasn't had the chance yet, but he doesn't let his hopes drop. He decides to text the Beta president, one of the few Betas he hasn't texted yet.

[To: Hudson. Most of the alum have arrived. Good thing too, they won't have to see your ugly face for longer than they have to.]

He and Hudson are always ragging on each other, but in a joking manner that they both understand. He didn't receive an answer from Maddox yet, but he was sure to show, he's not known to miss a party for any reason. With Maddox would come Archie, his little brother. Andre always felt a tad jealous at the sight of them, considering his little brother dropped Beta a month after his initiation. He won't admit it, but he believes he would've picked Cyrus as his little, had Cyrus given Beta a chance. But Cyrus and his former little brother are dead to him.

The older version of Cyrus, more commonly known as Reid James, enters the party with a few other Beta alumni. Once a Beta, always a Beta, Andre notes; always schmoozing, always getting the upper hand. Andre saunters over to Reid, extending his hand and smirking when he is recognized. "Andre, good to see you! Glad to see you on the alumni committee, you represent your generation of Beta Gamma Omega well." The suave voice of Reid James booms throughout the room, alerting the room of his presence and demanding acknowledgement. "Evening sir, glad you could make it. I hope your flight went well.." They descend into mindless small-talk, both all too aware of the tension soon to come when Cyrus arrives.

Challenge accepted.

The words kept repeating in Cyrus's head, heating his body up in a way that wasn't exactly appropriate for this party, at least upon arrival. Cyrus made sure to send back something extra saucy to keep the Beta just as heated as he made Cyrus.

[To: Maddy. Oh, you'll have a challenge all right.]

He wanted to send a naughty pic, just to prove his point, but decides against it; they would have enough naughtiness during their private after-party. Cyrus drove over to the Sigma House after getting ready, and would ride in an Uber with his fellow brothers to the function. He saunters through the Sigma house with the authority of a king, the house being his kingdom. He stops by Cas's room, almost oblivious to the lingering smoke running through the house because it is such a common occurance.

He finds the fellow Sigma in his room, and Cyrus grabs the nearest blunt and light. He could pay Cas back later with another blunt, or money if he really wanted it. "Surprised you haven't left yet. Are you going to go?" Cyrus asks Cas, taking a large puff of smoke, holding it just past his capacity to hold his breath, and letting the smoke curl from his lips and into Cas's room. Honestly, if Cas wasn't planning on making an appearance, neither would Cyrus, waiting for his lovely Beta to return for a night to remember.

"Dustin, pour me a glass of scotch," Hudson ordered, walking out of his bedroom just as a sophomore Beta passed by. The younger boy already appeared to be ready to leave, but nodded eagerly at Hudson's request. Given that Hudson had spoke to Dustin's Big, James, just a couple of minutes before, he knew that neither of the boys were running out of the house at that very minute. Anyway, even if they were, Hudson knew that they would simply have to wait. He wanted his whisky, and he was too busy to get some himself. At least that was what he would claim, if the boy objected, which would never happen to begin with. Really, though, it wasn't like Hudson was standing around doing nothing. After leaving his bedroom, he headed down the hallway to Weston's room, and knocked on the door. He would have just barged in, had he not tried to do that and found that it was locked, and in the moment he stood outside the door, he stepped across the hall to bang on Archie's door. It was a loud knock, but only playfully so, especially once he heard Maddox's voice on the other end too. As long as Archie's Big was in there with him, Hudson knew that was one less Beta he had to worry about. "You two better hurry up and get down there. If us Betas don't show our faces, every sorority girl on campus is going to go lesbian rather than having to choose a Kappa or Sigma to go home with. You know how big we are on community service, boys. Let's be good citizens and keep the ladies happy tonight, but that doesn't mean I approve of any pity fucks. If you plan on bringing home a Theta, you better text me first for approval." Hudson was purposely being a pompous jerk, and the boys behind the door would know that, but as playful as he was being right now, it was hard for people who didn't know him to distinguish when he was being playfully arrogant and offensive, like now, and when he was just being himself. The two sides were so similar, and his serious personality contained many of those traits too, that you had to actually know Hudson, and the tones of voice that he used in different situations, to tell whether he was being serious or not.

Weston had spent most of Sunday afternoon trying to get ready for tonight's big affair. Like most of the Beta boys, it wasn't hard for Wes to look good. His wardrobe consisted of more than just sweatpants and t-shirts, and he had brought up by parents that insisted that one's appearance mattered. Therefore, he wasn't opposed to wearing clothes that were geared towards black tie events, and it wasn't hard for him to pick out a suit and bow tie from his closet that fit the night's dress code. He showered and shaved, eliciting jokes from his fraternity brothers about how he loved like a twelve year old with his cleanly shaven face that he brushed off, and was dressed and ready for the night by eight o'clock. He had opened his laptop then, trying to get in a little bit of last minute work in for a class he had the next day, when his phone buzzed with a text from Nicholas. As he looked at the picture, his mouth immediately turned upwards into a smile, but he nearly dropped his phone in a fit of anxiety when there was a knock at his door, and he heard Hudson's voice on the other side. Almost instantly, he swiped a finger over his conversation with Nick to the left, and hit delete to delete it in its entirety. The last thing he needed right now was for Hudson to see that boy's name on his phone, even if seeing it had almost instantly given Wes butterflies. By the time that he had gathered himself, put his laptop away, double checked his appearance in his mirror and opened his bedroom door, Hudson had finished whatever he was saying to Archie's closed door, and had a glass of something in his hand. Weston automatically assumed it was scotch, which was Hudson's go-to drink. Seeing that made him crave a glass too, but given what time it was already, he wasn't opposed to just waiting until they got to the venue. "What's up?" he said to Hudson, patting his pocket to confirm that along with his phone, he also had his wallet on him.

"Good, you're ready," was all that Hudson answered with, once Weston emerged from his bedroom. He looked the boy up and down once, before nodding in approval. A voice in the back of his mind spoke, saying, 'See, the kid is Beta material. He fucked up once, but once he's dating an Alpha, he'll know not to fuck up like that again.' Although Hudson normally preferred to drink his scotch slowly, savoring the quality of the top shelf liquor he always kept on hand, he drank his glass fairly quickly now, as he led Weston downstairs. A car was waiting for them, but it wasn't an Uber or a cab. He had scheduled for a limousine to pick them up, but only because it wasn't only him and Weston who would be traveling in it. "Come on, we don't want to keep our Alpha ladies waiting," Hudson said once they were outside, ignoring the confused look on Weston's face upon seeing the car.

"Even for you, a limousine seems a little 'much' for such a short drive," Weston commented lightly, looking at Hudson with a curious smirk.

"Only the best for Audrey. Besides, you have a girl of your own you get to woo now too. You can thank me later, but I managed to set you up with Charlotte Arnault," Hudson explained, only half-interested in the conversation he was having, as the rest of his attention was focused on his phone as he texted Audrey to say that he was on his way, and also to read Valentine's text message. He smirked at it, but opted not to respond right away, in favor of continuing speaking. "After whatever the fuck that was I walked in on last week, I was worried about you. No Beta of mine, nonetheless my Little is going to be doing gay shit in my own house. Trust me, Weston, I was pissed off after that. I was considering terminating your brotherhood with the Betas, but I know you, and I know that whatever that was, wasn't you. You're probably going through shit and somehow, that seemed like a good idea, but you should have just told me that you needed to get laid. Your problem's solved now, though. You're going to date Arnault until further notice, even though I'm sure it'll only take one night in bed with a girl like her for you to be following her around like a lost puppy. Again, you can thank me later. Right now, just try and act charming, Wes. We've got an image to maintain."

"Dude you seriously need to chill," Maddox's playful smirk remains in place as Archie turns to face him. The senior of the two makes a melodic whistling sound and a quick thumbs up as a sign of approval. Not that Archie needs approval when it comes to his looks, the boy's got confidence coming out of his pores. After closing the door, Mad watches as his little fumbles with something in his hands. It quickly becomes obvious why he had been taking so long. As usual, Mad declines the tempting offer of joining in. The beta isn't against it, nor does he care in the slightest that if Archie does it, he just prefers to steer clear of it himself. "Pass" he said, handing the blunt back to it's original owner. Archie shouldn't be too surprised, considering Maddox has never accepted a drag before. The next offer, howeverr, is something he can't decline. "Now you're talkin'" his smirk morphs into a grin as he gladly accepts the drink. Considering he hasn't had any coffee today, this is a necessity. Archie offers to be his wingman, as per usual. Normally Maddox would happily accept, but he's not exactly free for the night. You still mooning over, what's his name..." the younger pauses for a second, probably for the sake of stressing out his senior. Mad knows that's exactly what his junior is looking for when his grin turns into a mischievous smirk after mentioning Cyrus' name. Despite his best efforts, Mad can't hide the effect it has on him. "I don't know what you're talking about, Arch" he states, all the while hiding his face behind an almost empty glass. Archie has always loved teasing his big brother for no particular reasons, but most recently he has found a concrete source. "That joint must be rattling your brain cells already" he adds, the color of his cheeks now returned to normal.

Maddox can sense another teasing comment on it's way, but whatever it is, it's interupted by the loud knock of their rushed president. He gives his usual spiel about them needing to be at the party for the sake of the sorority girls' sanity. The boys know when Hudson is being serious versus when he's trying to be playful, even without being able to see his face. But after spending three years with the guy, Maddox an tell that even though his tone right now is his usual easy going president side, he's one hundred percent serious about some of the things he's saying. "If you plan on bringing home a Theta, you better text me first for approval". Maddox stifles a chuckle as his eyes gloss over Cyrus' reply that arrived merely second before. "Oh if you had any idea what I'm bringing home tonight.." he mutters under his breath, not entirely sure if Archie caught it, but not exactly caring either. There's no point in denying what his friend can easily figure out. "Let's go!" he says, urging his little out of the dorm room once they're sure Hudson, as well as the distinguishable smell of Archie's blunt, are both gone. "There are sorority girls in need"he adds, paraphrasing their senior's words. "Besides, you don't want to keep Eli waiting...or will it be Naomi tonight?" the cheeky smirk is back in place as the two head out of the almost empty Beta house. By now, the sophomore should be familiar with the way Maddox works. If he teases his big brother, he should just expect to be teased back.

The two arrive at the event a little later than expected, mostly due to the usually horrible Miami traffic. There's already a good crowd when they arrive and Maddox spots several familiar faces, one of those being Reid James. The blondie isn't even here yet and Mad can already smell the drama in the air. "If you need me, you know what to do" he states, loud enough for only Archie to hear. It shouldn't have to be said. By now Archie knows he can call on his big brother for whatever the need, but it's always nice to be reminded. Distancing himself from the younger boy, Maddox casually heads over to where Andre and Reid are standing, making sure to wait until they are finished so as to not interrupt. Betas should always be polite.

As Archie finishes off the joint, he turns his gaze to Maddox and smiles, "Sure, sure - you have nooo idea what I'm talking about," He says sarcastically with a roll of his eyes, flicking the joint out of the window. "You can act like a dick all you want with the others, but you're my big bro Mad, I know you." With a wink Archie is finished teasing the elder boy and takes a sip of his beer, chuckling when he hears Hudson's shouts.

Making sure the smell of weed had faded, Archie walked over to the door, "You two better hurry up and get down there. If you plan on bringing home a Theta, you better text me first for approval."
Hudson's voice held a joking tone, but Archie knew he and Mad better get going, they didn't want to piss off their fearless leader. With a mock salute and "Yes sir." Directed at Hudson, Archie and Maddox made their way out of Archie's room, past the common room and out of the door. "You don't want to keep Eli waiting...or will it be Naomi tonight?" It's Archie's turn now to play dumb as he gives Maddox an innocent look and a small shrug, "I have no idea what you're talking about Maddox," Archie feigns nonchalance but eventually is facade cracks and Archie can't help but smirk, "Why not both?" He finishes with a wink as they pull up to the party.

Hopping out of the car, Archie can see the party is already in full swing but before he can step inside, his phone beeps with incoming texts, smiling at each reply from his friends, Archie quickly shoots some back.

To: Daze
When don't you look stunning? You better get here soon.

To: Eli
Oh I love it when you talk dirty.

To: Abby
Already here, hmu when you are.

To: Omi
I'm already here, but I can offer you an uber ride back to mine? ;-)

Tucking his phone back away in his inside jacket pocket, Archie pats himself down before he and Maddox head in. "If you need me, you know what to do." Archie gives his big a thumbs up as he watches the guy walk off. It doesn't take long before Archie is approached by someone new, what was her name? Katie, Karen, Kat? Archie couldn't remember but she was making a direct beeline for him so Archie just stood still and smiled at her, hoping the name would come back to him.

"Arch, I haven't seen you in agesssss," Archie nods, despite not being able to remember ever seeing her, as the girl leans further in toward him, a strand of long blonde hair falls onto his shoulder as she whispers, "We should catch up sometime." So maybe Archie didn't recognise the girl, but that doesn't mean the proposition didn't sound tempting to him. "Let me buy you a drink." He offers, and the pair wander over to the bar.

Once there, Archie notices Eliana and sends her a mischievous smirk, "Miss me?" He asks the girl, having not seen her for a couple days, feeling a tug on his sleeve, Archie turns to the girl at his side and then back to Eliana, "Oh, yeah this is, uh-" Archie pauses for a moment and the girl frowns at him, "I'm Amy." She says. Unable to hide his surprise, Archie wonders where the hell he got Katie from, but smiles like he knew it the entire time anyway. "Of course Amy," Archie looks at her with a soft smile, before turning back to Eliana, "She's a friend."

As the bartender makes his way over to where Archie is stood, he attempts to order some drinks, but is greeted with a firm "I'm gonna need to see some ID." from the bartender. Pretending to pat down his pockets, Archie gives the bartender an exasperated look and a shrug before saying, "Damn, I think I must've left it at home." Turning to Amy, Archie smiles sheepishly until she gets the message. "Oh right, yeah I'll get these - here's my ID." Taking a glance at her license as she hands it over to the bartender, Archie's eyes widen when he realises that she's 24. He didn't even know people could stay at Fulton for that long.

As Andre and Reid chat mindlessly, Maddox joins them, silent until they finish speaking. Andre smirks approvingly; Maddox has never given Beta any issues, acting like a proper Beta at all times and never giving the fraternity any issues. "Hey Maddox, have you met Reid James? He's one of our prominent Fulton alum, you might have seen him on NBC." Clearly Andre is not one for modesty, and knowing Reid James, he isn't either. He's a news anchor, and a Beta. The Beta alum extends his hand toward Maddox, but his attention is suddenly turned on the blonde frat boy entering the event. Cyrus.

Cyrus makes his appearance much earlier than he wanted to. He almost thought about not going, even going so far as to unlock his room at the Sigma house and take off his jacket, but he was pressured by the rest of the brothers and hustled into an Uber with some of his pledge brothers. Before he knew it, he's here, swarmed in a mob of Sigma brothers.

The first person he makes eye-contact with was his father, Reid. Luckily, Andre's father Bruno decided to show as well, and his big brother Blake's father, Alexander. While Andre followed the Beta legacy, being the son of a former president, both Cyrus and Blake had shirked a Beta legacy in hatred of their fathers and went Sigma. Cyrus is sure that Alexander is just as bitter as his own father. Still, he hadn't expected to see his father so early, and isn't keen on going to greet him. One of the Betas beside him is just more of a deterrant, but his favorite Beta is also nearby. He looks at Maddox for a quick moment, a barely visible wink towards the Beta before he sets off to find anyone else to hang out with.

"Cyrus!" He hears his father call him, and with a roll of his eye only visible to the brothers arriving with him, he makes his way over to the three Betas standing together. Getting this over early will be best. Cyrus ignores the glare he can practically feel coming from Andre, and extends his hand to his father. Cyrus may hate the man more than anyone else, but he knows how to be cordial in public, a skill set he'll need for foreign relations.

"Glad you could make it, I know you have such a busy schedule." Cyrus tries to keep his voice teasing, but it comes out cruel, and he can see his father's barely concealed cringe. He recovers with a quick, "Anything to see my son and my alma mater." With that, Cyrus leaves the Betas with a curt nod and quickly finds Ya Ya, the first person he spotted. She's by the bar, accompanied by quite a few people, including Maddox's little brother Archie. Cyrus let his hand slide sensually against Archie's back, just out of view of everyone but enough to rile up the Beta boy. He slides in next to Ya Ya, flashing his fake I.D., made by the DMV through a special source, and ordering a Tom Collins. With these upscale bars, Cyrus liked to use the terminology instead of explaining his order bit by bit.

He turns to the Alpha, pulling a forced smile she would understand as his public face: the face he keeps when there's more than one or two Betas in the room. "Hope you didn't miss me too much, Ya." Cyrus teases her, which is rare in their friendship. It goes to show how much he depends on his friends when his father is around. He takes a sip of his drink, searching for Ben over the rim of his glass. He assumed the Kappa would make it, and he's not sure how the whole "Ya Ya and Ben" situation is going currently.

He also sends a text to Maddox, just because he can, and wants to see him blush.

[To: Maddy. that suit would look better on my floor.]

The bar area became very congested very quickly. It was an interesting mix of people, including a few people that Danny wasn't very fond of. Danny noted how fast Ayala got flirty with another guy right in front of Ben. Okay, maybe she wasn't being a flirt, but still. It was almost like clockwork. As soon as things were okay, she was talking to other guys. Danny chose not to say anything though. Ben was gonna do what he wanted. Danny just didn't want him getting hurt. He smiled when Ben approached. "Who're you waiting on, kid?" Ben asked him as he got his drink from the bar.

"Daisy, Hayden... Liz, the usual. Nice choice on the drink." He nodded towards the drink in Ben's hand, placing his own in the air for a toast. The boys laughed at their faux toast, and Danny leaned back once again as he checked his phone. He smiled at the text from Liz. He was ready to see her. He just wasn't so sure what he would say. Daisy's text, on the other hand, made Danny beam. He was in a free spirit, do what I want, kind of mood for the night. Daisy was just what he needed. He shot back text to both girls.

TO: Liz ღ
I'll see when you get here then!

TO: Daisy ;)
I'll order us some tequila. Your shots will be here when you get here ;P

He turned back to the bar to examine the selection of tequila. After a minute or so of consideration, Danny settled on Patron Platinum. He waived down the bartender, "I'll take six shots of Patron Platinum... oh and keep it handy. I have a feeling I'll be needing more." Danny smirked as the bartender walked away to fill the order.

Sure enough, about the time the shots arrived, so did Hayden. Danny laughed as he heard the unmistakable joking voice of his best friend. "So, um you come here often?" Hayden laughed along with him, and the friends did their version of the "bro-dap" handshake. Hayden turned to order a Bloody Mary at the bar, and Danny bristled as he spotted Cyrus in the near vicinity. The arrogance on his face made Danny sick. Hayden's next question snapped him out of it, "So, any woman so far that caught your eye?" Danny glanced around playfully.

"Eh.... not really. I think my cup of tea for the night is on her way." He remarked back at Hayden. He didn't say who, though Hayden could probably figure it out.

The next text Cyrus receives is a phrase he's heard before, but it doesn't cease to set his cheeks on fire and his heart beating fast. He has to hand it to Maddox, the guy knows how to get him flustered. An image flashes in his head: Maddox smiling in the New York snow, standing in the doorway for dinner with Cyrus's family. He downs the thought with the last of his drink; thoughts like that are not allowed for friends-with-benefits. This relationship seems to be just that, but every day Cyrus feels an ache in his chest that almost hurts like love does, and it's scaring him. But, it doesn't scare him when he's drunk, and he's well on the way to that.

Another text lights up his phone, and thankfully it eases his burning cheeks. It's from his big, Blake Tyler, griping about the traffic and "the apocalypse" going on without him. Cyrus smirks, ordering another Tom Collins. With Andre, Blake, Cyrus, and all their fathers making the event tonight, it is sure to be something chaotic. In fact, Cyrus has already located Alexander Tyler and Bruno Rocha, and makes a point to avoid them. Reid James may be civil with his own son, but he does not want to hear the biting tones of the two other Beta alums.

Cyrus remembers a time when he couldn't wait to see Andre and Bruno at his door for dinner, or Blake and Alex for a day on the beach. They used to do everything together, and you couldn't keep the three boys apart at Beta and Fulton alumni events. He can't help but roll his eyes at the thought of them now.

Eliana, the Zeta president, joins him and the crowd at the bar as Cyrus types out a text to Blake.

[To: Blake. Unfortunately so. Daddy Dearest has made his appearance, don't make a scene tonight. I'll have a shot waiting, B.]

Suddenly, Cyrus feels a body slide against his, and with a quick glance, he notices his favorite Beta ordering a sophisticated drink beside him. A seductive smirk crosses Cyrus' features, listening to Maddox's quick chat with the bartender. Oh, long night, huh? Cyrus brushes back against Maddox as he turns to survey the party scene, his back resting against the bar. The party is starting to really get into the swing of things, and more and more people are showing their drunkenness. Soon enough, Cyrus will be just as drunk as the rest of them.

He leans to the side, just enough for him to whisper into Maddox's ear. "You will have a long night if I have any say in it." Cyrus purrs, taking a sip of his drink and waiting for the boy to react. He gives Maddox just enough time to react, but interrupts any reply with a change in the subject, one that doesn't have to be whispered in the Beta's ear. "So, you've met the famous Reid James tonight. Did you know he's a news anchor?" Cyrus says the end with facetious awe, enough to sound like an adoring fan than a black-sheep son. As he waits for Maddox's reply, he orders two tequila shots so that they'd be waiting for Blake when he got here. The temptation is enough for Blake to seek out his little first, Cyrus knows that very well.

Cyrus' attention is momentarily taken off his Asian casanova when Blake finally makes his appearance, obviously fresh from an encounter with his father. "You, my friend, are a sight for sore eyes," Blake calls to Cyrus, grabbing the shot glass and ordering two drinks for himself, and whatever Cyrus wants. He signals to the bartender for Long Island ice tea, something he can sip on without increasing his drunkenness too quickly. Maddox, ever so charming, tells the bartender that their drinks are on him, sending a smile toward the two Sigmas, the smile that made Cyrus want more than just sex. Cyrus takes the tequila shot, tipping it towards Maddox in thanks for free drinks, and knocks it back with his big. Blake immediately blames Andre for the current situation, and Cyrus shakes his head.

"I refuse to let my night be influenced by a fuckin' Beta," Cyrus growls, thankfully out of earshot of Maddox as he walks off with some girl, flashing a look at Cyrus that says he'll see him later. Cyrus does need some time away from Maddox, just until they have their own fun for the night.

Just as he takes another sip from his drink, one of the Thetas walks up to Blake and hugs him from behind. They momentarily catch eyes, and Cyrus realizes it's Amaris Hamilton. They're not exactly friends, but her relationship with Blake is so strong that Cyrus can't help but at least be civil with her. The two chat on and Cyrus is left to the company of his drink.

[To: Mickey. Did I ever tell you you're my favorite Zeta? Don't tell Jazz. About to go smoke, want to join?]

[To: Cas. I need my favorite smoking partner.]

Cyrus looks over at Blake, a mischievous grin forming on his face. "I've got some green, join me later." Cyrus whispers in the older Sigma's ear, taking his leave from the bar and making sure to bring his expensive- and half finished -drink. He makes sure to order something Cas would like as well, seeing as the other Sigma is his usual smoking partner. He weaves through the crowd with ease, knowing where the most prominent areas of Beta and Beta alumni would be, and even skirting around anyone who knows he's underage and would get him in trouble for it. Unfortunately, Reid James always has tabs on his son, and grabs Cyrus by the arm to get his attention. Cyrus places the drinks on the table beside him, folding his arms across his chest. "You're playing a dangerous game here, son. Do you know how many cops are in here?" His father growls. It's not the fact that he's drinking, it's the fact that he could be arrested, and that just wouldn't do for their reputation. Cyrus rolls his eyes, flipping out his fake I.D. from his suit pocket. "I'm 21. Now fuck. Off."

His father is shocked by his foul mouth, giving Cyrus enough time to scamper off to a lesser populated area of the venue. Outside doesn't seem too crowded, especially in one of the deserted lounges. He makes sure to keep the door open, at least for now when he was still missing Mickey and Cas.

"How do you do it?" Hudson and Audrey had allowed Weston and Charlotte to go off and get to know each other, since that kind of seemed like a necessary step in two strangers suddenly dating each other. Hudson had picked up drinks for himself and the Alpha President, and caught up with her a few minutes later, to find her doing what she did best - wowing people. She was involved in a conversation with an Alpha alum, who Hudson immediately recognized as Emily Perry, a girl who had been Alpha president a few years before he had even gotten to Fulton. Hudson was only privy to who she was, because his Big, who had graduated a year before, had always spoken about the insane crush that he had on the girl. Hudson had met her a few times, mostly at events like this, where she returned as an alum, when she was able to get time off from work. Like most Alphas, she was already highly successful, moving her way up the ranks at Nordstrom's department store in the administration field, all while additionally working on her own swimwear line that was supposed to launch at the department store in a few months. His own Big's obsession with this girl probably played a role in why Hudson had developed his own on Audrey. His Big had instilled in him that the Alpha girls were perfect, and that they were more than just one-night-stand-goals. They were wife goals, and if you found one that was perfect enough to actually make you think about marriage, you couldn't let her go. In addition to Emily, whose mere presence only made Hudson focus on Audrey more, the group consisted of a few older women and men, who were introduced as Beta and Alpha alumni. Hudson conversed with the Beta alumni more than the Alpha, but he listened intently to what Audrey was saying, and how she always seemed to know exactly what to say.

When the conversation fizzled out, Hudson and Audrey excused themselves and gravitated towards a

"Hmm?" she answered, her eyebrows furrowing only slightly in confusion as she looked at Hudson over the drink she was raising towards her lips. After taking a sip, she pulled the glass away and stirred the straw in it around some, deciding that it had tasted too strong at first. Audrey always loved a good buzz, but events like these were not just for fun. They were for networking, and she would be damned if she ended up making a fool of herself for the sake of a few cocktails. There was a time and a place for being sloppy, and the Guys in Ties and Girls in Pearls event was not that kind of place.

"How do you do everything so... flawlessly?" he marveled, resting against a high top table that they were standing by.

"You're sweet, Hudson, but isn't it time for you to go woo a girl who's actually going to end up in your bed tonight? I don't want to take away from your sexual endeavors, you know," she said, giving him a pointed, yet playful look. She had to find her girls anyway, after reading and leaving Ya Ya's text unanswered. She hadn't seen the junior all afternoon, and she missed her Ya Ya, for one, and secondly, had to make sure that she (and the rest of her girls) weren't being swarmed by all of the people that Audrey was sure would be attracted to them tonight, given how good they looked. Then, after she checked in on her Alphas and maybe mingled a bit more with some of the alumni at the event, she certainly needed to physically check on Charlotte. Until then, though, she opted to send the brunette a text instead.

To: Charlotte
Are we behaving ourselves?

To: Ya Ya
Coming to find you, my love <3

Hudson could only smirk at Audrey, trying to read her more deeply, but deciding that she was probably right. If she didn't want anything fun to come out of tonight, it wasn't going to do him any good to cling to her like a lost puppy. There were Betas to mingle with, current Beta brothers to monitor, drinks to down, and like Audrey said, girls to woo. When Audrey walked off, he finished off the glass of scotch he had been drinking, and headed towards the bar for round two. That wasn't before crossing paths with Maddox, who was talking to some Theta girl. Hudson didn't slow his pace, but smirked at Maddox in passing and offered him a thumbs up, a reference to the demand that his boys needed approval to take a Theta home for the night. He didn't make it to the bar after that anyway, due to being intercepted by a few Beta alumni members.

Audrey made it to the bar with fewer interruptions, though she was tempted to approach Naomi first, since the girl was standing a few feet from the bar, but still within sight's view. She had seen her earlier, though, so getting to Ya Ya seemed more urgent. Spotting her near Archie, Audrey graced the pair with a smile, ignoring the irrelevant Zetas who stood nearby. "She never fails to impress, does she?" Audrey smiled, looking to Archie and nodding at Ya Ya. "I can't say that I was happy with you abandoning us earlier, but given that this is the finished product, I'll forgive you for it," she teased.

Eliza checked her phone to see the text from Mickey. She looked around the room, planning her pathway to the pool, and apparently getting in people's way while she did. She apologised quietly as she shifted to the side. Pool, pool, who decided there was going to be a pool at this thing anyway. It's not like any of them were dressed for a pool party. God alumni events were stressful. She should have made plans to meet with people beforehand before flying in unprepared. Of course, none of this would be an issue if she wasn't so scatterbrained half the time. Eliza took a deep breath. She was a confident, smart young woman, who looked incredible tonight. She was powerful, and

And oh God, Danny was dancing with Daisy. Eliza felt her stomach drop as she saw them. Jesus Christ, Eliza get a grip. It's a crush. You went on a few dates, she told herself. From the corner of her eye, she spotted someone heading towards her. She didn't recognise him, not on sight. She looked around herself, no one else seemed to have spotted him and he was looking right at her, a smile forming on his face. "Alone by coincidence or by choice?"

Yep, definitely here for her. Life had apparently taken a crazy turn. She didn't get approached by boys at these kind of things. Not ones that looked or dressed like him anyway. "A little of column A, a little of column B? My, ah, friends are a little busy," she said, indicating to Danny and Daisy, "Wouldn't wanna interrupt them or anything like that. Sorry," she caught herself before she could babble too much, "Eliza, hi," she waved at him awkwardly. She was good at many things, casual conversations and flirting with strange boys who walked from the bar to talk to her was not one of them.

"Those are on me, As well as a Gin and Tonic, please and thank you."

Blake held his hands up as Maddox shot him a winning smile. Sure, Maddox was hot, the kind of guy Blake might just go after, but there was something between him and Cyrus, Blake was sure of it, even if the two weren't quite aware of it themselves. And so Maddox was not pursued, mostly because Blake had a feeling that Cyrus wouldn't hesitate to give him a black eye if he did. "Be my guest." He thanked the bartender and nodded to Maddox when their drinks arrived.

Blake took a sip of his drink. He stood up a little straighter when he felt arms wrapping around his waist. "Good evening, gentleman," came the delightfully familiar voice of Amaris Hamilton. Her chin rested on his shoulder. "Hello, handsome. I do believe I was promised a drink earlier."

Blake detached himself from Amaris's arms. "And what kind of gentleman would I be if I kept a lady waiting?" he asked, handing Amaris her Cosmopolitan. "Maddox paid, he insisted on it." Blake went to indicate to the Beta, but found he had disappeared. "Nevermind. I probably don't need to say it since nearly every guy in the room is practically drooling, but you look incredible."

Cyrus rose from his seat and whispered in his ear, "I've got some green, join me later." Blake nodded. "I'll catch you in a bit."

"So,"he turned his attention back to Amaris, "How was your summer?"

Danny walked by Eliza talking to some guy he didn't know. He got a weird feeling in the pit of his stomach, but he shook it off as the alcohol doing it's work. Eliza was the last thing he wanted to think about tonight, simply because he knew it would make him rethink his intentions to end the night with Daisy. He walked to the bar and was ordering up another drink when he felt his phone buzz in his pocket. It was the group text with him, Nick, Hayden, and Ben. Noting Nick's location, he proceeded to the poolside.

He arrived to find Nick standing by himself looking down at his phone. Danny hollered a quick "Nick! What's up?" to gain his attention before leaning in to dap him up. "You look lonely out here... Waiting for someone?" Danny asked as he looked around for any sign of Amaris, Hayden, or Ben.

”Ahh, Eliza, of course, Daisy has mentioned you before.” Eliza raised an eyebrow in surprise at the idea of Daisy casually mentioning her to anyone. They were friends sure, but Eliza wasn't quite sure what Daisy and this guy had been discussing that resulted in her name being dropped into the conversation. Her attention was brought back to the moment as she felt someone take her hand. ”Maddox.” Maddox introduced himself and shook her hand. Eliza returned the smile that she saw on his face.

”Well…Since your friends are busy, and I’d hate to leave you out here alone, how about a dance?”

Before Eliza had a chance to think about an answer to the question, Maddox was already leading to the dancefloor. She would have said yes anyway, if only to give her a bit more time to place his name and his face properly. He seemed familiar, but she couldn't quite figure out where from. She found herself swaying with the music, keeping in step with Maddox as they danced to the slower track. ”So your friends are dating, I assume? That’s the only reason I can come up with as to why he would be dancing with Daisy when he could be dancing with you.”

Eliza dropped his gaze for a moment, her cheeks warming at the thinly veiled compliment. Where they dating? Surely one of them would have mentioned it to her, especially since she lived with Daisy."I honestly don't know," she said after a moments pause as she brought her eyes back up to his. She caught sight of Danny in the corner of her eye as he went passed. No, she wasn't going to go down that path. If Danny wanted to talk to her, he could do that. She wasn't going to chase him, not while he had whatever thing he had going with Daisy. Eliza had more about her than that. "I think it's more a casual thing. You'd be better off asking one of them."

"Oh, you know, the future best defense attorney in the continental US' work is never done, after all. Internship with US Embassy in Spain here, cruise with your sorority there...visiting schools in the US with their own museums and various workshops with feminists and activists. "I mean, all I'm sure you've had experience with, you know, to make your resume up to par and everything. Law school's real competitive, after all," Amaris laughed. As she spoke, Blake raised his eyebrow and nodded, quietly impressed if it was all true. "But in all honesty, it was fine. How about yours?"

Blake opened his mouth to answer, intending on telling her about his own summer spend schmoozing and working, when they were interrupted by his president. "Don't worry, Blake. I'm here to rescue you from having to listen to Amaris go on and on about museums and feminists and workshops and whatever other kinds of boring shit she's putting you to sleep, talking about."

Blake rolled his eyes, shaking his head slightly as Jack spoke. Jack's sense of humour was something that had taken Blake a while to get used to. After a few months, Blake had learned to brush off his obnoxiousness and laugh at it. Whether Amaris took it that way was another matter. "Instead of bragging about herself, what she should be talking about, is how it's so obvious that she wore that dress just to impress me. And hey, Amaris, I'll give credit where credit is due and admit that you achieved your goal there, but come on, you know that Blake is the only Sigma you'd be able to handle."

Blake placed his drink down on the bar top as Jack clasped his shoulder. Most likely, Jack was already drunk, in which case this was going to be a fantastic night. "I don't know how Mr. Future Lawyer made it into the Sigma house. He's gotta be good in bed, or else he would've ended up in the Kappa house, but you weigh in on that, Mare. Give us the inside scoop."

Blake sighed. His relationship with Amaris wasn't exactly a secret, but Blake prided himself on having a level of discretion when it came to the men and women in his bed. A level of discretion that Jack lacked. Sure, Amaris was a great lay, but Jack didn't need to know that, not unless Amaris wanted him too. He leaned against the bar and ran a finger along the lapel of Jack's suit. "Jack, sugar, if you want to know how good I am in bed, all you had to do was buy me a drink and ask for a demonstration. But, I'll let you in on a secret," he leaned in close and whispered in Jack's ear, "you probably couldn't handle me or Amaris even on your best day." Blake pulled back and raised his eyebrows, silently daring Jack to make a come back as he took a sip of his Manhattan. Blake cast his eye out on the dance floor and spotted Maddox dancing with a dark haired girl Blake vaguely recognised from the handful of times he'd been caught leaving Amaris's room. "Is that your little with Maddox? he asked, tilting his head in the couple's direction.

Amaris pursed her lips the second she heard Jack's voice, not out of displeasure though. They were friends, good friends even, when he wasn't being an annoying little shit, which was pretty much 99.99% of the time. She rolled her eyes the second he went on about coming to rescue Blake and her wearing the dress for him, which only made her turn to him an unimpressed raised eyebrow along with a subtle quirk of her lips while she played with the lime that sat on the rim of her martini glass. Leave it to him to both show up late and make time out of his not-so-busy schedule to still find a way to antagonize her, which honestly wasn't as unwelcome as she occasionally liked to pretend it was. Besides, she liked laughing in his face whenever Jack told himself that Amaris couldn't handle him - considering nothing he had done in the last four years had been enough to convince her to climb into his bed.

And even if she wanted to, she almost could barely suppress the urge to flush red or lie upon him bringing up the fact that she and Blake were sleeping together. Again, not much of a secret, but she wasn't about to yell it from the rooftops. More importantly, which was why a bit of her irritation welled up in her chest, this wasn't the place to bring it up at. Not only were they in a public place where any one of their classmates, a few of whom were actually colleagues of hers or at least people she had worked with in the last four years, but there were alumni here - important alumni. People who could possibly further Amaris' burgeoning career and the fact that he had the audacity to blurt that out had Amaris looking around them on a breathy laugh, appearing as if she was brushing hair from either side of her face when in reality, she was making sure no one had seriously heard Jack. Luckily, Blake beat her to having to say much of anything so Amaris only narrowed her eyes at Jack while adding, "You're a real piece of work, Decker. Just classy." Which wasn't exactly one of her best at the moments, but it also included a hint of her accent which made Amaris just a touch madder than she actually was. Because that was never something she wanted.

Ever.

It seemed that luck was on her side because Cyrus had returned, a surprise considering how close the two of them, in no way, were. Yet the addition of one more person to their little group was just the safety net Amaris needed to maintain the calm, though slightly miffed, demeanor she had held and she smiled tightly at the newcomer. "You know I was just thinking in my head how we needed one. I feel like I was left in the lumberjack section of Home Depot with all this scruff I'm surrounded by." At the last second she caught where Blake's eyes had gone and narrowed her own in the direction of Eliza with Maddox, having to stamp down on the immediate surge of protectiveness. Maddox was the last person she needed her Little to even be conversing with, let alone getting up to half of the shit Maddox was known for. "Eliza's a smart girl, one of the smartest, actually. She can handle herself." It was spoken mainly to comfort herself, but Amaris turned a playful yet frosty Jack's way. "Though, since we're all so concerned with what I can and can't handle, let me just say that what I spend my spare time handling, for lack of a better word, is more than likely a lot better than anything you could give me." She made a point of running her gaze up and down Jack's frame, a blatantly appraising stare, before flicking her eyes back upwards to meet his with a smirk as she finished, "Bigger probably, too."

Abigail stayed by the bar to see who was going to be the first person to come over towards her. Her eyes trailed over a few people as she waved and most of them stopped and talked to her before they proceeded on to do whatever it was they had their mind set on. Her phone buzzed in her purse as she took it out and saw a text from Maddox then another one from Yuda. She immediately started to type messages back towards both of them.

To: Maddy
Stop it. You're making me blush. Where are you?

As she was about to type a message towards Yuda, she was right before her eyes, screaming her name. Abigail gasped at Yuda then calmed down a little and listened to Yuda talk. "Girl, any guy would be lucky to hit on you." She said with a slight wink then went back to her previous state of mind, which was shock. Yuda's snap brought her back to reality as Abigail turned her gaze to look at her. " Yeah, yeah. I am fine." She stated as her phone buzzed again and it was Ya Ya. She didn't even bother to respond as she linked her arm with Yuda. "Come on."

Abigail basically dragged Yuda along as she was close to the door and saw Ya Ya and Naomi but then seen Ben as she stopped in her tracks. "Sorry, Yuda." This was kind of a danger zone for her as she hesitantly walked over there. A gulp came over her as her and Yuda inched closer and closer. Her eyes then trailed over the spectacle before her but the appearance of Archie made it much easier for her to move over towards the group by the door. She said as she removed her arm that was tightly gripped with hers. She mustered up the courage and waltzed over there anyway and smiled towards everyone present. "Hello, hello. So, how is everyone enjoying the event?" She asked with a soft smile to follow then waved her arms towards Yuda in a presenting manner. "Not sure if you guys met Yuda yet or not but here she is."

She then placed her hands in front of her, her gaze went from each person that was in there little group. As she waited for someone to respond, she pulled out her phone and shot more texts to people that she has bumped into quite yet.

To: Michaela :)
I promise that I am not ignoring you. But I know you are at this event somewhere, right?

To: Danny Boy :P
No text all night? Is this what we have come to, Danny? LOL.

To: Nick β™₯
Buzz around the party is that you're by the pool. I'll be over there in sec to see you.

Abigail placed her phone back inside of her purse, not expecting immediate texts back as they were probably busy with other people by now. She continued to stand there as her eyes fluttered over the scene.

"You know I was just thinking in my head how we needed one. I feel like I was left in the lumberjack section of Home Depot with all this scruff I'm surrounded by." Cyrus smirks at Amaris' answer. They're not really friends, the statement was said more for his brothers than her, but they're equally good at riling up good ol' Jack Decker. Before Cyrus can reply, however, Jack makes his own statement, regarding the younger Sigma.

Cyrus, my boy! We have enough pretty faces around, but Amaris is into the hairless faces, apparently. She's not into us dogs. She's more into the naked mole rat looking kids, like you, bro." Cyrus rolls his eyes; he's just as used to Jack's antics as the rest of the people in the group, but his response is usually physical, not verbal. Still, he can't help but retort with, "Don't need your fur to get laid, Decker. Maybe you should shave, your bed's collecting dust."

He orders a drink from the bar one last time, eager to feel just a bit more drunk than he is now. He notices Maddox out on the dance floor with an unfamiliar girl, too young to be an alumni. Although it's irrational, he feels a pang of jealously hit his chest. The fact that he couldn't be the one dancing with Maddox there hurt, but he would never out Maddox like that. So he just stood at the bar, silently watching Maddox and the girl until Jack pulls over Juliette Arnault. Now that really puts a smirk on his face.

Juliette feigns ignorance of his identity, and Cyrus chuckles. Oh come on princess, don't act like you don't know me. I'm sure if you don't remember, Char could give you a few ideas. She knows me very well." Cyrus sips his drink, licking his bottom lip after just to rile her up. Amaris sends another jab at Jack, and Cyrus raises his eyebrows. Amaris has a quick tongue, and he's sure she's high on the list of people Jack Decker wants in his bed. And most of those people would probably not make Cyrus' list. Speaking of people he wouldn't mind in his bed, he notices Archie with a group of Alphas, and Ben Cardoso. He'd heard that he and Ya were a thing, and it seems that they are becoming a thing again. But it doesn't look like Archie and Ben aren't getting along, and if that goes astray, it could ruin Cyrus' plans for later tonight, so he continues watching.

Before Abby could even answer Danny, Archie had spoken up. "I'm sure Benny 2.0 would be more than happy go with you and get food, Yuda." Danny took his feigned kindness as smug disrespect. He had heard all about Archie from the few Alpha girls he was cool with and, of course, Weston. Danny's primal instincts immediately kicked in. This sometimes happened when Danny had alcohol in his system. A mere challenge from someone could bring his blood to a boil. He looked to the side at Ben, who seemed to have a particular disdain in his look for Archie himself. Ben was Danny's brother, and he tested Ben's judgment where guys from other clubs were concerned.

He broke through into the cluster of the group gently, careful not to push around anyone unnecessarily. He turned back around, placing Abby's drink in her hand. She spotted Daisy being the aforementioned Yuda food before settling into their group. This gave Danny momentary pause as he smiled at his chosen princess for the night. He took the drink in his own straight to the head. Danny laughed at himself silently in his head. What the hell was he doing? Making a scene? He turned to look at Ben. "Hey Ben, you wanna tell me why this Beta meathead is being such a smug bastard to me. All I did was come over to talk to a couple of friends. And why the hell did he call me Benny 2.0?" Danny was looking to get Ben riled up. If he was gonna get in a fight is wasn't going to be alone. The group was growing around him, with people from each house present. This could get interesting. Danny focused his attention back on Archie, challenging the guy with his stare.
