Yuda had a relatively normal upbringing. Though, of Korean descent, she was born and raised in America with the original ideals her parents grew up with a mix of the ever evolving culture of America. Her parents were pretty conservative, but that didn't stop her from expanding her mind site and becoming more tolerant of different things. It would've been almost impossible for her to keep her parent's ideals since she had been growing up in LA with its mixture of different ethnic backgrounds and sexual orientations. She can't recall anything major happening to her in her early stages of childhood. She got up in the morning, went to elementary school then went home did her homework and hung out in the living room with whoever was in there at the time. She developed a taste for literature since sometimes no one would be in the living room and they didn't have a TV at the time so she had to occupy herself somehow. At one point in her life, she even considered being a teacher. At eight years old this sounded like a great idea, until she enrolled in middle school and saw how tough it was to keep a whole classroom of students quiet enough to teach what you're supposed to be teaching. Around 6th grade, a friend of her asked her if she had a crush on any boys; this made Yuda think, she had never really had a crush on a boy. At that time in her life, she was too busy reading books to even worry about crushes or even if she really liked boys at all, that part of her life wouldn't come up until a little later down the road. Middle school was just as uneventful as elementary school, though Yuda had also taken up a liking for video games. She was too young to match the upkeep with the hobby, but she would continuously play the games she did have on her older console throughout the entire night-that obviously got her into a lot of trouble.

Yuda's personality didn't really start taking shape until her high school years. She still didn't like boys and she didn't even know why but she honestly could not care less about things like that. She was semi-popular, no one really disliked her and she really didn't dislike anyone either. Unlike most kids her age, Yuda actually kind of enjoyed high school. She would always go out with her friends, even if her parents said no; that just meant she had to sneak out the window. Yea, she had a rebellious phase but so does everyone. It's until she hears the word lesbian her freshman year. Her friends were gossiping about some other girl who might be it and this was the first time Yuda had heard the word. Apparently it was when girls like girls. It got Yuda thinking. Was she lesbian? She had never really liked guys at all and she always found herself flustered when a woman would get undressed in a movie. The thought of holding hands and kissing another girl wouldn't didn't even sound that bad. And that bargain her journey of homosexuality throughout high school. She made out with a few girls, she even got serious with one. That relationship didn't last though, her friends and family didn't even know and that kind of restricted what they could do openly. One day, her parents asked when she would get a boyfriend for the millionth time, out of annoyance Yuda said she didn't even like boys. Did Yuda's sexuality clash with her parents conservative ways? Yes. Did the family get over it eventually? Yes. Did it cause a divide between her and her extended family? Yes. Did she care? No. After the whole I'm a lesbian debacle, Yuda had to start cutting across the bad part of town to make it to her part time job. She made a few friends, they were all kind of thugs though. They weren't all bad necessarily, just misunderstood. This got Yuda thinking, why doesn't anyone try to understand people like this. Well, fortunately for Yuda, they do. This was the nail in the coffin, Yuda wanted to study psychology and become an affordable therapist for troubled teens. Luckily, she was accepted into her first choice Fulton University. It was expensive but her and her parents managed to afford it. She's been attending the school for 3 years now and it was fun at first but she honestly can't wait for it to be over and done with.

Quirks//Habits//Oddities:
  • Picks nails when stressed - Yuda doesn't know when she started this habit but whneveres she's stressed she picks at her nails and that's all she'll be able to focus on.
  • Finger taps when bored - Yuda usually taps on whatever surface is near here when she's bored. It's most likely a tune of a song or just absent minded taping while spaced out.
  • Hates not knowing things - Call it being nosy if you want but Yuda really hates when she's not in the know on something. It'll gnaw at her on the inside and bug her until she finds out.
  • Finds if difficult to work when other people move around - When there's too much kinetic enegery being released in a room where Yuda is trying to focus, she can't do the focusing.

Bad personality traits
β–Ό Abrasive β–³ Money-minded β–Ό Extreme β–³ Reactive β–Ό

Personality:
Yuda isn't talkative but she isn't completely shy either, she can hold a conversation when necessary but she also hopes necessary isn't often. Yuda's personality contradicts a lots, she likes friend but she hates the tedious process of making them; she prefers childhood friends since it was easier to form a friendly relationship when you're only a kid. She's sort of abrasive, not quite in the sense where she'll tell you to fuck off as soon as your approach her, but in the sense that she will try to finish the conversation as quickly as possible if she doesn't know you that well. Of course, Yuda excels in situations that don't require you to be social. She's efficient and punctual, because making a good first impression is always a priority even if she won't end up talking to the people for more than three minutes. Yuda can adapt well to any given working environment, unfortunately this trait does not apply to social situations where her personality clashes with another. Because she's so keen on avoiding to avoid people she doesn't know, she's become self-reliant to evade confrontation; if Yuda wants something then she will do everything in her own power to get it.

Another contradiction in the mind of Yuda Lee is that she is very diplomatic. Of course, this was a trait she developed rather than a trait she was born with due to the fact that she wants to help troubled kids when she graduates from college. She can defuse most heated situations. Although, she can either escalate or deescalate a situation depending on how the events play out. She is very reactive and very extreme which is ironic because she think she's a pretty poised person. The situation at hand can either dissipate quickly or have fuel added to the flame. This is a side of her that's rarely ever shown though. Usually, Yuda remains level-headed and calm because half the time she doesn't have the courage to butt in. But if she ever did butt into a situation, that's her vision of how it could possibly go. She hopes that her efficiency will aid her if the time to pull people apart ever comes.

Yuda is a Scrooge McDuck with money, it's just nice to have. Her parents aren't that well off and attending college is supper expensive for some reason. So, if there's opportunity to make money Yuda will take it. Need her to sabotage someone? As long as there's a hefty price tag, and if it isn't a friend, you've got Yuda as your personal hitwoman. She also manages her money very well. Her efficiency comes in handy when she needs micromanage her money and since she's so punctual and poised she's usually given raises for jobs after a bunch of begging and some not so subtle hint dropping. This may lead people to believe that Yuda's world just revolves around endless stacks of cash, but they'd be wrong there. Yuda actually hates people who only care about money. Yea, money is nice because it helps pay the bills, but money is probably last on Yuda'a list of attention priorities. There's family, school, social circles, her sorority, money is kind of just the beams that keep all those things held up.

Greatest joys in life:
Family An obvious answer, Yuda loves her family. They have supported through everything and even accepted her when she came out about her sexuality. She values them a lot and she doesn't like to think about where she would be without them. Theta Chi Yuda thinks Theta Chi is just a second word for family. You won't hear her say it slot but she loves the girls. Like her family, she does not know where she would be without them. Literally. She would've probably gotten lost on campus. They've help her out a lot these 3 years and she cherishes them for that. Money What cann she say? money makes the world go round'.

Greatest fears:
Losing FamilyOf course, one of her greatest fears in life is losing one of her greatest joys. Yuda hates thinking about a future without her family by her side and we'll leave it at that.SpidersNasty, creepy, crawly, no. Yuda doesn't know what God was thinking when he allowed spiders to walk the earth. Something with that many eyes and that many legs obviously wasn't meant to walk the earth naturally and Yuda will stand by that.

Life philosophy:
"A wise man should have money in his head, but not in his heart."

Thoughts on Greek Life:
The completion part, Yuda ignores. Petty rivalries are boring to Yuda. The friendship part? She is all for. Yuda loves the bonding part the Greek System enforces and is all for it since it makes that one step of making a friend a little easier. She can only help the freshmen during rush because that'll refine her skills for her desired career path; it's also cute to have a little sister. And a bonus are all the cute girls in the other sororities Yuda gets to see. So, overall, Yuda enjoys it though but there are some parts she can do without.

Plans for after college:
Yuda hopes to become a successful therapist for troubled youth. From what she's seen, a lot of them can't afford the help they need so her goal is to make her own affordable business and hopefully branch it out to help more and more young people.

Build:
5'8
120lbs
Curvy, the only thing maintaining her figure is walking around the campus and the lack of money to afford junk food.

Hair Colour: Brown

Style: Yuda doesn't wear anything too extravagant. Anything she wears is casual on a regular basis. Except if anything calls for something fancy she usually doesn't go all out.

So begins...

Location: Miami, Florida, USA
Time: 8:15 PM
Most people spend Sunday trying to prepare themselves for the droll and unwanted responsibilities that come about come the dreaded Monday morning. They sip their tea, drink that last bit of wine, and lay in bed trying to decide if they're really going to be petty enough to pretend like they're sick in this call to their office, scrounging up every excuse in the book as to why they can't go to work, school, or wherever the daylight happens to take them. However, for the students at Fulton University, instead of the lackadaisical doings of their typical Sunday evenings, the air around campus (and throughout the city) is alive with anticipation as people pre-game and prepare for a night of carefree drinking, dancing, and even drama...

...especially drama, particularly when the Greek life students are involved.

Some students are still in dorms, apartments and houses getting ready for the Guys in Ties & Girls in Pearls event hosted by Fulton's own Greek Life Alumna Association. Girls are just finishing the finishing touches to their hair or just sliding into velvet dresses, lacing up and slipping into heels of various styles. Sipping on glasses of wine or champagne, giggling over their shared excitement over how the night could unfold and the plans they've already made. Maybe even the tipsiness they already have. And guys are fastening on cuff links, straightening up the suits some just got from dry-cleaning or delivered by their favorite tailoring services. Quaffing glasses of scotch or taking shots to the head in preparation for how absolutely trashed they're bound to be by night's end.

Regardless of where everyone is - even those who are known for being rather prompt as opposed to fashionably late - it's bound to be a night of sensuous, luxurious, riveting and possibly even scandalous fun...so just like the Alumna Association asked on twitter, where can we find you?

Daisy felt like her hair should not still be in rollers this close to leaving the house. If her hair didn't turn out right, she had no time to fix it. But even with the strongest hairspray, her hair could not hold a curl for more than a few hours, so she was praying that leaving them in for as long as possible would do the job. Finishing off her makeup with a spritz of fixing spray, she sighed and decided that it was time. She carefully removed the curlers and flipped her head upside down to shake out the curls. As she flipped upright again, having to grab hold of the corner of her bed to catch her balance, she sighed with relief to find that her hair had, in fact, turned out fine. She ran a brush through it and applied a liberal amount of hairspray, praying that it would hold.

Taking a few selfies of her final outfit, she flopped onto the bed to send the last few texts before going.

To: Archie

Just giving you a head's up, I look positively stunning, so you'd better prepare yourself

To: Yuda, Amaris

Have you left yet? Trying to decide if I'm going to get the shuttle in or just get a taxi

All day, she'd been almost begrudging the event, feeling like she'd much prefer to just stay home and read or watch netflix or something. But now that she was ready to go, she was starting to feel the buzz. She hadn't had anything to drink yet, and it didn't exactly look like she was going to have time to get too much to drink between now and her having to leave. Everybody else was probably going to already be a decent bit of the way to being drunk, if not full on drunk, but since coming to uni, Daisy had been leaning more towards drinking while she was out instead of pregaming. It was an improvement from her high school years of getting drunk at the pregame and continuing to drink while she was out. It had, at least, given her a good alcohol tolerance and resistance to hangovers, but she wasn't up for that any more.

She fired her lipstick into her bag, closely followed by her purse. Her phone, however, stayed in her hand as she fixed the strap of her shoes and waited for a reply from somebody, just to give her some idea of what everyone else was doing.

Yuda was stalling the process of getting ready. She had been sitting in front of her vanity for twenty minutes with the intention of at least attempting to look nice but instead settled for a few matches on a mobile card game she had. She sighed upward to blow some loose strands of hair upward and faced herself in the mirror. Usually, she wouldn't attend things like these, but, she knew without a doubt, this one the one event that Amaris would make her attend. She knew better than to try to have her way this time. "It's only one event Yuda, just one." She told herself. "You can just stand around and drink some punch and then, before you know it, it'll be over and you'll be in your nice warm bed ready for the next day.". The mental pep talk didn't do her much good, but the thought of Amaris' anger and Daisy's persistence did. Daisy would probably carry her bridal style out of the house if Yuda didn't decide to go. That image was enough to get Yuda to put on a simple dress with matching heels and of course some pearls just to be funny, I guess. After that little soliloquy, Yuda felt the vibration of the phone tingle to her body. Doing a quick flip motion with her hand, she unlocked her phone and looked at the home screen. "Speaking of the devil." She said to herself.

To: Daisy
Was dealing with the inner turmoil of having to socialize, just slipped into an outfit a minute ago. I'll be catching that cab or shuttle with you btw.

"Now to send out a few texts."

To: Naomi, Amaris, Abigail
Yes, the rumors are true, I will be attending tonight's event. No pictures please.

Yuda stood in front of her mirror to check herself out a bit. She hoped the nude colors and simple looked would do. ITs not like she was trying to make a big entrance or a good first impression or anything. She sighed and sat back down on her bed. She would countinue another few rounds of her card game until somehow got back to her text.

An assortment of dresses and heels were scattered all over the floor as it was kind of hard for Abigail to decide on what to wear for tonight's event. She sat on the edge of her bed for a minute as she tapped her chin with her index finger then snapped her fingers as she jumped up and waltzed back over to her closet. Abigail grabbed a box that she has yet to open and placed it on her bed then opened it as it revealed a black dress. A soft smile came over her lips as she knew that was the dress that was going to adorn her body at tonight's event.

After she cleaned up her room and placed everything back into its place then grabbed a pair of heels to match her dress, she showered, did her makeup and even curled her hair. She had gotten a manicure and pedicure yesterday but got the clear coat polish, so that was one less thing she really had to worry about. As she was getting dressed, her phone chimed as she raised a slight brow, wondering who could be texting her at a time like this. With her dress not even zipped, she walked over towards her phone that was on her nightstand and saw that it was a text from Yuda. Her eyes read the message and she squealed a little bit, so excited to know that Yuda was attending the Alumni event tonight.

To: Yuda
That makes my heart happy! Can't wait to see you tonight!

After she sent that text, she placed her phone back on the nightstand and zipped up her dress, finally. Abigail then sat in a chair to place on her heels as she then stood up and walked over to her floor mirror and reviewed over herself. After she gave herself a nod of approval and doused herself with a few squirts of her perfume, she grabbed her black clutch purse and cell phone then wandered out of her room and saw some of the girls still getting ready. Abigail managed to slip outside without being seen as she forgot to grab her pearl necklace for the night.

"Oh, shoot." She thought to herself as she opened the door back to the house and it seemed like all eyes were on her as most of the girls commented on choice of wear. She thanked them as she waltzed back up to her room and grabbed her pearls for the night as she took her cell phone out of her purse to send out a few texts.

To: Ben β™₯
Hey there. Save me a dance tonight?

To: Daisy
Hey there, girl! Have you left yet? If you haven't, want to ride together?

To: Ya Ya :)
Where are you? Didn't see you in the house. At the event already?

To: Archie :D
Hey there. Tell me that you're going to the Alumni event tonight.

After she sent those messages, Abigail walked out of her room again and back the stairs as she once again walked out of the house. She decided to take a seat on the porch and wait for Daisy's text before she made any more moves.

"Holy shit," Nick practically choked on the shot of tequila - hopefully, his only one as he anticipated being the driver for the majority of the night, regardless of how responsible Amaris could be - and fumbled to set his shot glass on the kitchen counter top upright. Amaris' newly painted deep red lips curved into a light smirk, though he detected their uncertainty and nervousness, at his antics...but was this really his fault? Amaris had told him before how at odds she was on what to wear once she had gotten his attire situated, but she usually had things like that for herself under control. So, he had assumed that she would go with the pink number she had picked up on her derail to New York with him over the summer before leaving for Spain for her internship. Definitely not the curve-hugging red number she had sent him a picture of and had been nervous over. Amaris stepped further into the kitchen on strappy red heels, placing her clutch on the kitchen island Nick currently occupied. Nicholas gaped for a few seconds, blinking stupidly. "Mare Bear..." Nick didn't even know what to say and Amaris' brow furrowed slightly.

"Should I...should I change?" She asked, glancing down at the dress and fingering the top of the slit that lay directly above her left knee. The satiny material clung to her waist, revealing how much she had both lost and toned up within the last year. Amaris critiqued her form in the privacy of her room on most days, but even she knew what improvement was and it wasn't just in the physical. As much as she knew other girls would love her weight loss simply because it meant they could really start wearing "skinny girl clothes," she felt better. Healthier and more fit than she had been in her formative years. That didn't mean her self-conscious didn't make an occasional appearance. "Daisy and Yuda are still here, I think, and they wanted a ride. So, I could probably tell them to - " Amaris could understand the befuddlement to her attire. She wasn't typically this daring. She was typically classy, not a prude, but definitely refined in a manner that would not allow her to show off both cleavage and leg. However, as she had been upstairs finishing her makeup and getting her jewelry together, she had figured that it was senior year. She was always going to be the same, but a little difference - a change - during the final year of her undergraduate career was acceptable. At least, she thought so until Nick couldn't seem the verbalize an actual reaction. However, her inquiry about changing prompted him to storm over to her and grab a hold of her wrist. "You are not allowed," Nick insisted vehemently, hurrying up to pour her a shot of tequila and sliding the glass her way. "If I'm not allowed to change, you are definitely not allowed to even think of going back upstairs. Matter of fact, you take that shot and you text them that we're ready to go. I don't trust you right now, like, at all." He muttered something unintelligible under his breath, which made Amaris giggle, but she acquiesced anyway and threw the shot back, wincing at the burn. She had sent a text to both Yuda and Daisy a moment before entering the kitchen, along with a picture of her in the mirror when she first tried the dress on for the evening to Ayala.

To: Yuda, Daisy
Still here in the kitchen. Nick's driving my Volvo. U want a ride?

To: Ya Ya
Mason by Michelle Mason dress for 50% off...what do you think lovely?"

Once the text was sent, Amaris' eyes shot up to her friend, who looked like he was actually considering another shot. Shaking her head and easing the bottle away from his line of sight, Amaris ran a hand over her hair, allowing the dense mass of her natural curls to fall over her shoulders. "So...it's okay?" She asked quietly and Nick deadpanned. "Get the fuck out of my face, Mare. You look stunning." Her beam made him roll his eyes, but Nick smiled softly at her anyway, in encouragement, before he remembered. "Oh, yeah. Danny said you had to save him a dance tonight." Amaris snorted. She had absolutely no idea why these sophomores insisted upon flirting with her, but Danny and Archie in particular, drove her up the wall with their flirtation. It was flattering, of course, but Amaris wasn't trying to remain a perpetual state of pink, damn it! "Tell that boy he better remember when his curfew is. To grow up big and strong, big boys need to go to bed on time." Nick muttered a "Jerk!" as Amaris chuckled at her own joke, wrapping a hand around the neck of the bottle of tequila and looping her fingers into the mouths of the shot glasses. The two glasses were placed inside the empty sink and the tequila back into the cabinet, the faint scent of her Chanel perfume wafting up to Nick's nose as he text out a response.

To: Danny
She said sure. You there?

To: Ben
You at the venue? How's everything?

"If you're gonna have me here and be on your phone, the least you can do is love me on your Instagram," Amaris stated smartly and Nick rolled his eyes before shooting her a look. "You hate social media," he pointed out. Amaris sighed dramatically and saddled up back to his side, pressing into his side so that she could lay a head on his shoulder. "Just be young and dumb with me, damn it." Snorting, Nick pulled up the camera on his phone and held it over their heads to take a selfie while saying, "Just tell your girls to come on so we can go before you really start to get conceited." Amaris only punched him after she was done cheesing for the selfie, waiting for the click of the camera before executing the attack, scooping up her clutch, and then heading for the door of the kitchen while calling out. "Ladies, I'm heading out now if you're coming!"

Almost exactly as Daisy made the decision to venture downstairs in search of human life, she got a text. Seeing it was from Danny, she rolled her eyes to herself and grinned, typing out a quick reply.

To: Danny

You like every dress as long as I'm in it ;)

She sent a picture of her outfit as well. By the time she had that text sent, more had come in. She decided against sitting down though, choosing to just stand where she was as she read the texts and sent replies. She didn't want to crease her dress, and she felt like if she did sit down for any longer than necessary, that would be exactly what would happen. That and she did need to get used to being in heels before she tried doing any proper walking. She'd been in flats all day, even at church with her father that morning. Even if she didn't believe all that much herself, it was important to her father, so she went whenever he asked her to.

To: Yuda

Oh, good, I was just thinking that dragging you out of the house might be a challenge in these shoes. Will update you on travel plans shortly.

To: Abby

Let me see what the other girls are doing and I'll get back to you. Might get a taxi in with Yuda, not sure yet.

She skim-read Amaris' text and shoved her phone into her bag, glancing around the room. Spotting her lipstick and powder, she scooped both up and shoved them into her bag, before casting a final glance in the mirror and deciding that she was, at long last, ready to go. With excellent timing, apparently, because Amaris yelled that she was leaving.

Taking into consideration the fact that she was still getting used to her heels, she made it out of the house in a surprisingly quick time. "I'm here, I'm here!" She declared, running her hands through her hair and mentally chastising herself. Her hair had enough trouble holding a curl without her making it even harder. It was only then that she noticed how good Amaris and Nick looked.

"Damn, you two certainly scrub up well. Amaris, had I known how good you were going to look tonight, I certainly would have stepped up my game. I feel positively plain beside you," she said, grinning. She glanced down at her phone briefly to send a text to Abby.

To: Abby

Going with Amaris and Nick. I'll see you there, though!

"So, yeah, don't get offended if I stay away from you guys. I mean, I know I look good, but if I'm with you guys, I'll be outshone," She added, laughing.

Naomi leaned forward towards the circular mirror of her vanity as she glided the dark rouge hue across her lips. Her cat-lined eyes blinked back at her reflection, and her newly painted lips curved into a satisfied smile. Raising her hands to her head, she thoughtfully brought together her straightened locks, considering for the third and final time whether she should actually put them in some sort of updo. Instead, she tucked both sides smoothly behind her ears.

Done. Finally.

Naomi loved parties, but good grief getting ready for them took forever. Especially when the party was one as illustrious as the 'Guys in Ties, Girls with Pearls' soiree she was currently prepping for.

A soft buzz sounded, and she stood up from the table. Walking over to her bed, she searched the strewn sheets for her phone, finally finding it nestling between a nook in her duvet and a cushion. She pressed her thumb against the middle button, and looked through the two new messages.

From; Yuda
Yes, the rumors are true, I will be attending tonight's event. No pictures please.

With a smirk, Naomi texted back a teasing reply.
To; Yuda
About time you got out of the house. Fucking vampire.
Wear something cute for me, k? ;*

The second message made her pause for the briefest of moments, but then she was sending back a reply just as jovial as the prior.

From; Pothead
U need a hot date for tonite? Hmu

To; Pothead
Depends... will said hot date pay for the uber?

"Omi, open up! Show me what my competition for tonight looks like!" Smiling softly, Naomi opened her bedroom door. However, upon hearing Audrey's next sentence, her expression turned to one of good-humored suspicion. "And if you're Uber is on the way, make sure there's an extra seat for my beautiful Little. I'm going to borrow yours for a few minutes, so we'll swap."

"Borrow? May I ask what for?"

Yuda was just lazing about, as usual, trying to occupy herself for A by while she was waiting for some texts to be returned to her. To her dismay, she couldn't lie down on her bed because she had already gotten ready. Since it was a special occasion, she actually did her hair. It was nothing fancy by any stretch of the imagination but it did require her to rev up her curling iron. She hadn't used that thing since the prehistoric ages so she hoped that it would work at least efficiently if not anything above decent. Yuda also had to grow through her minimal supply of makeup to touch up a bit. Touch up to Yuda meant a coat of lip gloss and very tiny amount of mascara and just a very faint hint of perfume; yes, Yuda did classify perfume as makeup. Yuda sat on her vanity, taping the wood and resting her hand on her chin because the card game she was playing for boring after losing five matches straight. So her she was, waiting for a message back. On the brought side, Yuda would get to see some cute girls. The dark side of it all was actually having to go through the effort of looking nice. Speaking of looking nice, Yuda thought she looked okay, nude dress and heels with a pearl bracelet. Simple and casual, just like her. She hoped that a pearl necklace was enough to satisfy Amaris. If it didn't satisfy the president, Yuda was pretty sure she would let her borrow a necklace or something. Sighing, Yuda began to play with her now curled strands of hair. Her own thoughts were boring her now, but, like an answer to a prayer, Yuda received three messages simultaneously. "Well would you look at me, Mrs Popularity." Yuda said, smiling to herself.

To: Daisy
Judging from Amaris' text you didn't even update me on the travel plans. I'll just assume you'll be hitching a ride with them and meet you downstairs.

To: Amaris
Yea, I'll come with, I'm assuming Daisy's already down there so I'll be down in just a sec.

To: Naomi
Omg, shut up! It'll be useless looking nice just for you because I'm pretty sure you'll be going home with someone else xoxo

To: Abigail
Only wearing something simple so don't overshadow me too much, k? :*

Yuda got up from her vanity, butt numb and walked over to her bed to grab her purse."Lip gloss? Check! She named the items as she dropped them in her bag. "Phone? Check! Wallet just in case because you know how daisy is? Check! Tampons just in case of an emergency? Check! Mints? Check! Tiny bottle of perfume, you know, just in case? Check! And lastly, my Nintendo DS for when the party grinds to a halt? Check! After grocery listing the items that Shen might need for the event, Yuda gave herself one last look in the mirror and fixed herself a bit; looking all around her room for her necessities threw her hair off a bit. She sighed, already ready to head home even if it was just the beginning of the night and headed down stairs to meeting Amaris Nicholas and Daisy.

From the entrance of the kitchen, a sharp left and following the length of the hallway, and Amaris was in the great room of the Theta Chi house, eyes trained on her phone as she began to receive text messages from her babies. She hadn't heard anything from Eliza, which was why she immediately set to text her Little in favor of knowing where the girl was. She had also gotten a text from Eliana, which led to Nick holding the front door open for her (he did it anyway, so it wasn't like she was moving without knowledge of the happenings all around her) and responded to that as well just as they were halfway down the neat brick-lined pathway which was framed by neatly-trimmed green grass on either side. Amaris made a habit of parking across the street from the house, particularly so that her Bentley wouldn't suffer from direct exposure to the sun (nothing to worry about tonight, obviously) when the daytime returned. She was sliding her cell phone back into her clutch just as Nick reached over to grasp her elbow, assisting her in taking the step off the curb. She smiled.

To: Eli
Aren't we? He thinks he's gonna be the sober one tonight and something tells me I'm going to be the one driving us home with all the drinks he'll be offered lol. On our way

To: Liz
How are you getting to the party? It'll be a tight fit, but are you still home? I can give a ride.

"Such a gentleman," she commented quietly, a playful glint in her eyes as she peered over at him from under her long dark lashes and Nick rolled his eyes. "Stop flirting with me," he replied with a raised, daring eyebrow and Amaris chuckled quietly, stopping only when they had arrived at her car and heard Daisy exiting the house as well. While Amaris beamed at the girl's compliment, Nick flushed and hurried to unlock the vehicle, clicking the button and opening the front passenger door for Amaris. "Please, babe, you're a doll," she said, a bit of a response for the both of them since Nick offered a quiet "Thanks!" as he reached through the front passenger side to put the key into the ignition and at least start the car up. Luckily, simply because it was Florida but also because global warming left the night warmer than it typically was this time of the year, they wouldn't have to turn a little heat on. "I figured, since it's senior year, there was no point in not showing off," Amaris continued to explain as Nick moved out of her way so that she could enter the car. Once she was seated and was looking back at her phone (she really should just keep it in hand at this point), he was opening the back passenger side door for Daisy, inquiring loudly so that Amaris could hear from the back, "Is Yuda coming?" Amaris nodded for a second as she set to type out responses to the Theta Chi alumni she knew were already at the venue and Yuda herself. "Yeah, should be coming down now." Once Daisy was in, Nick closed the door for her and as he walked to the driver's side of the car, he pulled his own phone out to see no response from Wes. Which made him frown, a sort of deflation in his mood due to the disappointment and uncertainty he had yet to truly verbalize or confront, but he hurried up to fix his expression and shove his phone back into his pocket in favor of getting inside the car.

To: Yuda
At the car. Parked across the street.

To: Ya Ya
Thanks, love. Though I'm pretty sure you're already there looking like a supermodel and whatnot.

"My, oh, my, don't you look stunning?" Naomi should have known better than to be so easily flattered, but she was easily won over by compliments, and she knew she looked good. It was a sleek look, and she looked almost feline with her subtly winged eyes and slender frame. Still, even if she looked absolutely horrendous, Naomi was well aware that she could trust Audrey's compliments. The Alpha president had a penchant for brutal honesty- if Naomi looked bad, Audrey would certainly tell her so.

With a flirtatious smile, she pointedly looked the redhead up and down, commenting in a faux blase tone, "Not so bad, yourself."

She was making a severe understatement, of course. Audrey looked gorgeous. Audrey always looked gorgeous. The girl simply wouldn't settle for anything less.

"For important, top-secret Alpha Theta Pi presidential duties, of course!" A little red flag immediately went up, and Naomi raised her brows in a touch of exasperation. Yes, Naomi knew that Charlotte was... different, and she knew that Audrey loathed when the certain expectations of an alpha weren't met by said alphas, but...

Well, that was just it. Charlotte simply didn't fit, and what's more, the girl had no desire to. Sure, she did try to appease Audrey's demands, but she never changed herself. As far as Naomi could tell, Charlotte's priority was Charlotte, and the Little was not about to throw away who she was in order to conform to some admittedly twisted set of standards.

Naomi actually admired that about her, not that she would ever tell Audrey that.

"Nothing bad. Nothing you need to worry about. I just need to give our little black sheep of the family a little bit of TLC. You can have her back as soon as you get there."

Naomi knew the game by now. Audrey wasn't letting her get a word in edge ways, which suggested that Audrey was up to something of arguable moral standing. As the redhead spun around and headed down stairs, Naomi could only sigh in mild frustration.

"Kuso..."

Her phone buzzed again, and she chuckled at Yuda's message.

From; Yuda
Omg, shut up! It'll be useless looking nice just for you because I'm pretty sure you'll be going home with someone else xoxo

To; Yuda
jealous are we? ;) See you soon xx

Her phone buzzed again, twice, and she opted to read her little's text first.

From; Charlittle
Why am I being forced to ride alone with Audrey? Is my body going to be found in a shallow ditch miles away in a few days?

For a second, she felt a twinge of guilt. She's tough. She can handle whatever crazy scheme Audrey's got cooked up I'm sure.

To; Charlittle
I'm as lost as you are... if you die, I'll avenge you tho, so don't worry xx

Reading Archie's text, she only scoffed, and stuffed the phone into her purse with a roll of her eyes. "Moron..." She betrayed a smile before taking a final look in the mirror and heading downstairs. Smiling at Abby and Juliette, she nodded towards the uber waiting outside.

"Coming?"

Eliza looked up from her computer screen. She blinked. The time didn't change. How could it be that time already? Eliza sighed and saved her work before spinning her chair away from her screen. She needed to stop doing that; getting so absorbed in her work that she lost her already fragile track of time. Eliza stood and stretched, a groan escaping her body as she arched her back. When she had told her mom about the formal, she had insisted that her daughter was getting a new dress. The whole thing still seemed a bit ridiculous to Eliza. A whole new dress for one night. She looked at the red number. It wasn't what she usually wore, in fact it couldn't be further away from her usual uniform if it tried, but her mom insisted that she looked amazing in it.

Eliza grabbed a quick shower. As she climbed out of the shower, she heard her phone buzz. She picked it up from her desk and saw Danny's name light up the screen. Her heart flipped. No, nooo, bad heart. We do not flip when we see Danny's name. Danny's just a guy, she told herself. Yeah, but he's a cute guy. "Snuffie, my subconscious is a traitor, don't ever get one," she said to the rubber duck on her desk. Eliza opened the text.

From:Danny
What time will you get to the party? Can't wait to see you! Missed you this weekend!

Her heart flipped again as she read the text. This was ridiculous. She dropped the phone onto her bed and began dressing. There was no point texting him right now, she'd just embarrass herself. She liked Danny, there was no denying that. She liked him a lot. But she wasn't one of those girls that could just walk up to a guy and ask where they stand. Eliza was something of a wallflower and she was happy like that, but sometimes, she envied Michaela and Amaris their sky-high confidence. This was one of those times.

When Eliza was sure that she was ready, besides her hair, she grabbed her phone from her bed and text Danny back.

To: Danny
I'm still getting ready. Me and my bad sense of timing. I'll let you know when I'm on my way.

That left her with one thing to figure out. How were they getting there? Sure, she could shout through the house for Amaris and ask her, or she could just text. Amaris would know, she always did. As the thought occurred to her, her phone buzzed again. Danny didn't usually respond that fast.

From:Amaris
How are you getting to the party? It'll be a tight fit, but are you still home? I can give a ride.

To:Amaris
Still here. Lost track of time again. Gimme a minute or so, and I'll be down

Eliza dropped her phone back on her bed and checked her face in the mirror. Acting on her mom's advice, she kept her make up light. 'Let the dress do the talking'. She had a pink tint on her lips and a soft brown shadow swept over her lids. Jesus being a girl was a nightmare sometimes. She swept her hair over her shoulder. Anything more would have been overkill. Eliza studied her reflection for a moment. She looked good. Really good. Smiling with a sense of confidence, as fragile as it was, Eliza skipped downstairs, her heels clicking on the steps as she did.

As she stepped outside, Eliza looked up to see her sisters waiting for her, with Nicholas who was by Amaris's side as usual. She took each of them in. Yuda in pink, Daisy in black and Amaris in a red number that Eliza would never be able to pull off even on her best days. "Sorry I kept you waiting. You guys look amazing. You too Nick."

Blake tapped the steering wheel. Why was there always traffic when he needed to be somewhere? If he was being honest, he'd rather be back home with Rose and Johnny than going to this formal. It wasn't that he didn't enjoy them, they were great if the company was good, but the company back home was better. Blake smiled at the thought of his siblings. Rose was doing great at school, to the point she was making the teachers look inept. Mom was talking about finally moving her to a school for gifted students. Blake had no idea where Rose got her brains from, but he was glad that she had them. Johnny, it turned out, was going to be the family sports star. He'd been accepted onto the school football team and had spent most of the weekend talking Blake's ear off about it, as ten year olds only could. Taking advantage of the stop-start traffic, Blake opened his phone menu and dictated a message to Cyrus.

To:Cyrus
I'm on my way. Traffic is a nightmare, how dare it? Has the apocalypse started without me?

As he finished speaking, the traffic opened up, Blake began to pick up speed as his sleek, black BMW rolled through the late evening. Sure, he might not like his dad, Blake thought as he changed gear, but he was quite happy to spend his money. Mom was the trophy wife, he was the trophy son. Surely the same rules applied? He dictated another message, this time to Amaris.

To:Amaris
You're going to this formal, right? I will be very disappointed if you aren't. There'll be pouty faces and everything

Nick's reaction to her compliment made her laugh a little, but she mostly kept it to herself as to not embarrass him. She raised her eyebrows as he opened her door for him. It was the kind of gesture that a girl never expected, but was still lovely to get. She beamed at him as she climbed into the car. She smoothed down her skirt, before pulling her phone out of her bag and reading the few texts that had come in.

To: Hayden

Of course I'm going to be there! And you look fabulous, I think I may need to offer my services as a bodyguard so you won't be crushed by the crowds of people that will undoubtedly fall in love with you tonight.

To: Archie
You sweetheart <3 should hopefully be there before long!

To: Yuda
My bad :(

To: Danny
Of course. Get your favourite girl a drink, won't you? I'm stone cold sober so don't be afraid to go strong :P x

"So, Amaris, as our President, any last minute words of wisdom? Warnings about not bringing dishonour on Theta?" She asked, barely even looking up from her phone, but still grinning. From what she'd heard from some of her friends, other sororities and fraternities got lectures about how they were to behave and who they were to associate with. Like they weren't all grown adults capable of making their own decisions and choices. Sure, their fraternities and sororities were important, but there was a limit to it.

She grinned at Eliza as she arrived. "Aw, Eliza, you look stunning!" She gushed. She wasn't even exaggerating. Honestly, everyone in her sorority was so pretty. She'd really gotten lucky like that.

Yuda made a quick dash from the upstairs bedroom down to the living quarters and out the front door, trying not to trip on her heels. She hoped no one would be too upset that she was running a fraction of a second late. She's usually punctual, but tomgight was gonna be pretty hectic so it might as well start hectic. She fixed her hair as she ran it the spot Amaris' Bentley was usually parked in. It was pretty far from the house because something about sun exposure, she doesn't really know or care. She immediately swung the door to car open, and basically forced her way next to Eliza. Which reminded she forgot to text Eliza, oops. Well she was here now and that's all that really matters. "Hey everyone."She said, sort out of breath. She didn't really run to the care it was more of a run walk because who can even run efficiently in heels. You all look pretty good, be careful not to outshine me." She teased as she took out her phone to respond to a text she had gotten.

To: Naomi
In your dreams sweetie, see you at the party and ALWAYS check the drink if someone offers you one.

She put her phone back into her purse and looked up at everyone. I have all the feminine necessities you might need ladies, so don't be afraid to ask She said, sort of proud of herself that she had become kind of a reliable friend. Well, I am all ready to go.

She sat on the porch and watched as most of the girls were already leaving to the event. She complimented a few of them as they left but the others she just nodded her head of approval. Abigail's phone chimed and it was a text from Daisy, who stated that she was riding with Amaris and Nicholas. She didn't bother to text her back as her phone chimed again and she looked at it as it was Archie sending her a text. She read it and started to type a reply.

To: Archie :D
Okay. I'll be sure to do that.

She sent the text then looked up at Juliette and Naomi as they came outside just as an uber driver pulled up. Her phone chimed again as Yuda name scrolled across the screen. She went to type a message but looked up again as Naomi asked if her and Juliette were coming. Abigail nodded her head and muttered. "Yeah." Was all she said as she got up and started to type a reply to Yuda whenever she got into the uber.

To: Yuda
I'll try not to. See you there though!

Abigail eyed Juliette and Naomi as she smiled towards them. "You ladies look absolutely stunning." She complimented them as she looked down at her phone and saw Ben's name come across her screen. A soft smile came across her face and she started to type a reply towards him.

To: Ben β™₯
Awe, you're so sweet. And yes, a drink would be nice. Everything okay?
I am almost there, riding in an uber with Juliette and Naomi.

She sent the message then turned her head to look out of the window as they drove towards the event. She was excited to get there to have a drink with Ben and to dance with him but she was mostly excited to see everyone and just mingle. Abigail let out a small groan as she eyed Juliette and Naomi again. "Are we there yet?" She sat back in her seat in a kind of impatient manner before she saw the building within the distance. It caused her face to gleam with a certain happiness as she let out a light squeal.

Once Amaris was sure that Eliza had a ride to the event - and that meaning that she herself could be assured that she had gotten her Little there - Amaris didn't bother responding, she simply filed it away in her head as a positive. She simply went through the rest of her text messages, rolling her eyes on a demand that Ashley be brought back home if she's already white girl wasted because there was no way in hell Amaris was going to permit her to continue on for the night when she knew the other girl's propensity for throwing back vodka as if it were nothing but distilled water. She paused in her rant when she heard Daisy ask if there was any advice to be given and Amaris chuckled, staring down at her nice little paragraph of text and shot Nick a look just as he choked back a small laugh.

"Did you give your boys a speech?" She asked pointedly and Nick only grinned in response. "Didn't have to. Not sure anything could affect our, what did the board call it, historically sublime behavior. Pretty sure five of our guys could walk into a lecture right now and still be considered the sanest in the room." Amaris hummed in agreement, nodding her head along as he spoke before addressing Daisy. "My point exactly. As much as I know the Alphas and Betas give their speeches on good behavior, and the Sigmas and Zetas have a history of perpetuating a disposition of nonchalance, I don't need to tell you girls anything. I don't pretend to think that rebellion against stringency and unnecessary codes of conduct does not exist. You girls are grown and I'm going to treat you like such. Get drunk? At least remember to Uber home if you don't already have a ride. Sleep over at such and such's place? Make your walk of shame look classy and keep it pushing. Our reputation is too pristine for you to really do anything to tarnish it, but also don't push it. I like being the one house on campus everyone else underestimates. We get away with more stuff." Which set Amaris at ease at all times. Regardless of how much the Alphas thought they had more than the Thetas and sometimes even the Zetas sneered down at what they perceived as the Thetas being goody two shoes, at the end of the day, there was a privilege in being a Theta Chi sweetie-pie. People anticipated them to not party hard, to not be stealthy and evasive, to not be like the others. Which meant that their slate remained clean, they got stars across the board for good behavior, and they could still do as they pleased. Theta Chi, for Amaris, had never meant that any of them were inherently innocent. It simply meant that they could be the thorns that covered the roses everyone else assumed they were the caricature of, and no one would think otherwise. And if they did, they had a history that stretched back too far and too pristine for anyone to truly accept such a "lie." She finished her message to a few of the girls and replied to Blake respectively at the end of that thought.

To: Blake
Feeling the love already, baby boy. Omw

"Seems like we're all here," Nick commented as Eliza and Yuda both entered the car, one seamlessly after the other. Which meant they could leave and while Nick was sure he wasn't going to drink anything more for the night, a dirty martini was sounding a bit nicer than he thought it was going to. Amaris beamed at the two girls, though her eyes did linger on Eliza a bit more now that she saw that she and her Little had been on the same wave length with red. "Hello, my darlings, I'm glad we're establishing the goddess titles that we all have. It's nice to be on the same wavelength and all that," she greeted before turning back to Nick. Alright, babe. Let's get this show on the road. Ms. Ndoye is already there and there's a cosmopolitan calling my name."

Eliza squeezed into the back of the car with Yuda and Daisy while Amaris took the shotgun seat. Eliza hadn't intended to match her sister's colour scheme, but the coincidence was a happy one if Amaris's reaction was anything to go by

"Hello, my darlings, I'm glad we're establishing the goddess titles that we all have. It's nice to be on the same wavelength and all that," she turned back to Nick. Alright, babe. Let's get this show on the road. Ms. Ndoye is already there and there's a cosmopolitan calling my name."

Looking around the car, Eliza could quite easily say that there wasn't a single one of her sisters that wasn't gorgeous in her own way. It was a boost to her confidence to have them around her. She'd seen how the Alphas worked, and Eliza wasn't sure she could keep up with that level of cattiness and expectation, but they always looked impossibly perfect. Eliza didn't want to be impossible perfect. She liked being her, flaws and all. And according to Amaris, that made her a goddess.

Eliza felt her phone buzz in her lap and fished her phone out of her bag. She switched the screen on and saw a notification from Danny.

From:Danny
I'll see when you get here then!

To:Danny
We're on our way. ETA ten minutes or so. Don't hold me to that.

When they arrived, Daisy took off, heading straight to the bar. Eliza watched her friend go, smiling as she did. That was so Daisy. In Eliza's mind, besides Amaris, Daisy was the most extroverted one of the group. She was the life and soul of the party. And also the one most likely to get drunk. Each to their own though, Eliza figured. She wasn't one for getting drunk. She'd tried it a few times and didn't really like it. Buzzed, sure, buzzed was good, but she would never be able to keep up with Daisy at the bar.

Eliza's smile dropped when she noticed Danny at the bar, right where Daisy had made a beeline to. She looked away for a moment, her confidence faltering for a moment. She was probably reading way too much into it. Daisy had a lot of friends, Danny was probably just another one. They were just getting a shot together, it's not like they were making out. It's not like Danny and Eliza were even together, so it didn't even matter if they were making out. It would be kind of crappy, but Eliza didn't have any claim to Danny beyond a few dates towards the end of last semester. Eliza rubbed the bridge of her nose. Her life was so much easier when boys hadn't been involved in it. Maybe her dad had been onto something with his no dating policy. It was a headache she could do without.

Yeah, but it's Danny. We like Danny

Eliza smoothed her hair down. Right now, Danny, and where she stood with him, were an issue for another time. Still, at least she wouldn't have to text him to let him know they were there. He could probably figure that out by Daisy being at the bar. She reached for her phone, deciding to check in on Michaela.

To: Mickey
Heey, are you at the party yet? Or do I need to wait a few?

Blake parked his car as his phone buzzed twice. He reached for it and checked the messages, Amaris's first. He smiled to himself at the nickname as he typed his reply.

To:Amaris
Cute. Very cute. I'll make sure there's a drink waiting for you because I'm nice like that.

Blake opened Cyrus's response and his face dropped as he slid down in his seat. Well, that explained why Alexander Sr hadn't been at home. Who in the hell had invited his fa-- Andre. Son of a bitch. Blake climbed out of his car and slammed the door shut. He pocketed his phone and car keys as he headed to the venue and headed straight for the bar, where the blissful sight of Cyrus and a shot awaited him.

"Alexander!"

Blake's foot stopped mid-stride as the familiar and unwelcome sound of his father's voice met his ears. Blake smiled thinly and turned to face his father. For a man approaching his mid-fifties, Alexander Sr didn't look so bad. For an absolute bastard of a father, Alexander Sr had the most punchable face Blake had ever set eyes on. "I go by Blake," he answered, shaking his father's hand in a vice like grip. "I assume Andre invited you? Since he's actually a Beta man."

"Yes, yes he did. You know I was al--"

"Always surprised that I wasn't a third generation legacy. That's wonderful," Blake interrupted, already knowing his father's spiel. "I have friends to meet, networking and what have you. I'm sure you busy being wooed by better people than I." Blake dropped his father's hand and disappeared into the crowd before Alexander Sr could protest. Blake weaved through the crowd to Cyrus.

"You, my friend, are a sight for sore eyes," he said as he picked up the shot glass. He signaled to the bartender. "A Manhattan and a Cosmopolitan, and whatever my friend here wants," he said, tipping his head towards Cyrus. The bartender hesitated a moment. Blake shook his head and pulled his ID out. One of the advantages of having a birthday early in the semester was that by the time these things rolled around, he had already turned twenty one. He knocked the tequila shot back. "I'm blaming Andre for this. Just so you know."

Danny and Ben made small talk while it was just the two of them. His glass dinged against Danny’s and the boys laughed at their joke toast. Ben wasn’t incredibly close with Danny, or the friends he listed off from his wait list, but he was close enough to delve into conversation with them whenever they were around. Of course, Ben respected the kids for the effort they put into these events and into the frat, but in all honesty, Ben couldn’t be bothered making deep connections with many people anymore. Not because he didn’t care about people, but more so because he reached his limit on how many people he can give attention to at once. He was a people person indeed, but a guy can only take having so many deep connections with people before it exhausted him. He blamed it on the stress that came with the break from Ayala.

Ben knocked the rest of his drink back into his mouth, expanding his cheeks to hold the liquid while he slowly drinks the stinging liquor. He lifted the empty glass in a gesture of gratitude to both the bartender and to Danny. Ben quickly pushed the rest of the liquids in his mouth down into his stomach, and he sharply exhaled. Hayden had snuck up behind Danny just seconds before, and as Ben was readying himself to walk off, he tapped both boys on the shoulder, β€œBoys, enjoy yourselves tonight. Just don’t embarrass anyone,” and with that, he was off. Pulling his phone out of his pocket, Ben sent a text to Abigail.

To: Abs
Girl, where are you??

Abigail looked at Juliette and shook her head. "It totally is harmless. We haven't done anything but talk and text." She muttered as Juliette said that she was going to keep quiet about it, Abigail gave her a firm nod of the head and chuckled when she said that she was going to look for Naomi a special someone. She remained silent for a little while as the vehicle finally came to a stop, she had pitched in her amount of money to pay the driver and got out of the vehicle first. Abigail straightened herself up and her clothing then turned to face Juliette and Naomi. "Remember, not a word." She muttered towards them as she turned heel towards them now. "I'll see you guys on the inside." She said as she started her small trek onto the inside, her phone chimed twice in her purse. It was Maddox and Ben. She shook her head at Maddox's text but couldn't help but smile at Ben's text. She started to type a reply towards them both but was stopped at the door. Abigail showed the proper items and was admitted inside.

To: Maddy
LOL. I just walked in, love. I'll search for you later. ;)

To: Ben β™₯
I am looking for you. Are you still by the bar?

She sent those texts and squinted her eyes as she looked for Ben and tried her best to avoid anybody else before then. It wasn't anything personal but she knew if she'd talk to anyone else before Ben, she'd engage in a long conversation with them and god knows how long they'll talk and who else would interject. Abigail checked her phone repeatedly as she really hoped that Ben would text her back sooner rather than later.

Abigail needed to talk to him about what had just went down but maybe he needed to talk to her, as well. She didn't really bother to think about it but knew that if something was going on, Ben would definitely tell her.

To: Abs
I’m headed towards the door, did you just walk in?

Ben texted Abby as he looked for her. As Ben walked, he did his best to keep his eyes peeled away from Ayala and Archie. The last thing he wanted to do was set himself off. He couldn’t help but peek back occasionally at the girl he claimed to be the love of his life. The sight of Archie so close to his girlfriend – or not girlfriend – made him hot with anger. Benji redirected his attention to looking for his friend, Abigail. He wasn’t sure if the girl thought they were more than friends or not, though. They had once been more than friends, but things changed. Though, now they’re all changing again. Ben and Ayala were on a break and he and Abigail rekindled a bit of that fire they used to have.

As Ben made his way through the little clumps of people, he spotted Abby. Abigail managed to move herself through the sea of people before her as her eyes were directed towards the bar. Her phone chimed in her purse once again as she just waved it off as it couldn't have been Ben since she was on the move towards him. He smiled and strolled up to her, one hand in his pocket, with confidence. β€œAb,” He put the one hand out that wasn’t in a pocket and offered it to Abby. Her ears twitched when someone said one of her many nicknames and it was Ben, standing there with one hand in his pocket and the other extended out towards her. Being her, Abigail didn't bother to give him a handshake but a hug instead as she gave him a light kiss on the cheek with a little chuckle. Ben pulled her in to give her a hug and light kiss on the cheek. β€œYou look beautiful.” Ben pulled away from her slightly and looked her up and down, smiling.

"Thanks. You look handsome." She complimented him back as she looked up at him. "So, what's up? I know I am late to the party. Did I miss anything new or exciting?" Abigail asked him as they stood there in the middle of the doorway. She pushed herself and Ben, of course it had no effect, out of the way so that they wouldn't be in the way of the stragglers. While she waited for Ben to respond to her, she whipped her phone out really quick to send out some messages and even read Ben's text, which didn't matter now.

To: Archie :D
Hey! I am here by the door. Talking to Ben.

To: Yuda :)
You here yet, girl? I want to see how stunning you look.

Ben shuffled his feet to the side as Abigail attempted to move the stoic man from the center of the doorway. Abigail had pulled her phone out to check her messages. As she did so, Ben responded to her. "Typical college shit. Ya and I may or may not be back together. I don't know," Ben shook his head and ran his hand over his hair. ”We're sort of doing this 'non-exclusive dating, getting to know each other all over again' thing. I don't really know what it means, but yeah." Ben put air quotes around his words and shrugged, he sported a humble smile to hide the pain he felt from it. "Neither new, nor exciting. How about that drink though?" Ben's humble smile stuck on his face as he extended his elbow for Abs to grab onto so they could walk to the bar together. "What about you Abs? Holding out for someone special tonight?" Ben knew there was a fire between them, but he knew not of her intentions. Perhaps tonight was the night to explore, Ben thought.

Abigail placed her phone back inside of her purse and gave Ben her full attention. She nodded her head at the words that came over his lips and even did a few expressions with her face. She didn't know how to take the whole him and Ya Ya might or might not be together sentence though she did like Ben but don't know if she would ever date him. Abigail shrugged her shoulders at the thought then looked at Ben as he held out his elbow. She took it, of course, and chuckled at his question as they waltzed over to the bar.

"You know me better than that, Ben." She commented as they made it over towards the bar. "I'll just have an Iced Tea, please." She said towards the bartender then looked back over at Ben. "But to answer your question, no. I am not giving up anything tonight or in the near future. You know should know that." She responded towards him as the bartender came back with her Iced Tea.

She thanked the bartender and handed him a ten dollar bill and told him to keep the change. "What about you, Benji?" Abigail asked as she took a sip from her tea then eyed him. "Are you holding out for anyone?" She continued as she slurped on her tea a little bit more.

Ben leaned on the bar as the bartender came over to ask for orders. "Another Maker's and ginger," He turned his body to lean against the bar facing Abigail; behind her head, was full view of Yaya. Ben peered over Abigail's shoulder momentarily. He noticed Yaya paying full attention to the men that surrounded her. His stomach felt like it was a bottomless pit.

"Well, you never know. Maybe you'll find someone that you like enough to have a little fun with," Ben smiled at Abi but thought of Yaya. Ben turned his attention back to Abigail and took a sip of the drink the bartender handed him and slipped the gentleman his card, telling him to keep the account open. "I've got someone in mind," Ben smiled slyly at Abigail and winked at her as he moved the drink back towards his mouth. "I guess, tonight will be a night of mystery in regards to who goes home with who." Ben teased.

Abigail nodded her head at Ben's comments then looked at him whenever he said that he had someone in mind. "I bet its Ya ya." She muttered as she played with the ice inside of cup with the straw then looked back towards him. The last comment of his threw her off a little as she shrugged her shoulders with a smile, her gaze went back towards him. "I guess but we shall see." She chuckled then left her cup on the counter as she sighed a little bit. "So, I have some more people that I need to see. But don't forget to save me a dance, stud." She said as she kissed his cheek again but waited for him to say something else before she would walk off.

Ben furrowed his eyebrows to the mumbling Abigail let spill just loud enough for Ben to hear. He didn't respond though because he knew she wasn't all wrong. Yaya was the girl Ben had in mind but Abigail wasn't necessarily off his mind either. He had a crush on her long before Yaya was in the picture, she was just always the one to shoot him down so eventually, he had to move on. Ben downed his drink in a gulp and ordered another one - tonight was going to be a long one.

As Abigail moved in to kiss Ben on the cheek, he grabbed her around the waist, pulling her into him. Ben left a kiss on the edge of her neck and jawline. He released her and stepped back a bit to give her space. "And see, we shall. I'll come find you for that dance." Ben's smile was playful and flirtatious now, almost seductive. Ben winked at the girl and walked off, letting Abigail take in the moment and giving her the opportunity to see her other friends. Ben made his way towards the far end of the pool, where he sat with his drink in hand away from the ever-growing noisy crowd.

Ben's last actions stunned Abigail right where she stood. She was completely frozen as she watched him walk away after a wink. She didn't know what to say or how to respond as she stood there with her mouth opened slightly. After the display that he just showed, she wasn't sure if she wanted to dance with him now or not but she was taken away from her thoughts by the ping of her cell phone within her purse. It was Ya ya. Just what she needed.

To: Ya Ya :)
We're here, girl. I'm close to the bar. Where are you?

She sent the text then started to type a text towards Archie.

To: Archie :D
By the bar. Just FYI.

She then sent that text and just stood over by the bar, waiting to see who was going to approach her first as Ben's actions still plagued her mind a little.

Abigail stayed by the bar to see who was going to be the first person to come over towards her. Her eyes trailed over a few people as she waved and most of them stopped and talked to her before they proceeded on to do whatever it was they had their mind set on. Her phone buzzed in her purse as she took it out and saw a text from Maddox then another one from Yuda. She immediately started to type messages back towards both of them.

To: Maddy
Stop it. You're making me blush. Where are you?

As she was about to type a message towards Yuda, she was right before her eyes, screaming her name. Abigail gasped at Yuda then calmed down a little and listened to Yuda talk. "Girl, any guy would be lucky to hit on you." She said with a slight wink then went back to her previous state of mind, which was shock. Yuda's snap brought her back to reality as Abigail turned her gaze to look at her. " Yeah, yeah. I am fine." She stated as her phone buzzed again and it was Ya Ya. She didn't even bother to respond as she linked her arm with Yuda. "Come on."

Abigail basically dragged Yuda along as she was close to the door and saw Ya Ya and Naomi but then seen Ben as she stopped in her tracks. "Sorry, Yuda." This was kind of a danger zone for her as she hesitantly walked over there. A gulp came over her as her and Yuda inched closer and closer. Her eyes then trailed over the spectacle before her but the appearance of Archie made it much easier for her to move over towards the group by the door. She said as she removed her arm that was tightly gripped with hers. She mustered up the courage and waltzed over there anyway and smiled towards everyone present. "Hello, hello. So, how is everyone enjoying the event?" She asked with a soft smile to follow then waved her arms towards Yuda in a presenting manner. "Not sure if you guys met Yuda yet or not but here she is."

She then placed her hands in front of her, her gaze went from each person that was in there little group. As she waited for someone to respond, she pulled out her phone and shot more texts to people that she has bumped into quite yet.

To: Michaela :)
I promise that I am not ignoring you. But I know you are at this event somewhere, right?

To: Danny Boy :P
No text all night? Is this what we have come to, Danny? LOL.

To: Nick β™₯
Buzz around the party is that you're by the pool. I'll be over there in sec to see you.

Abigail placed her phone back inside of her purse, not expecting immediate texts back as they were probably busy with other people by now. She continued to stand there as her eyes fluttered over the scene.

"Well, lookie what we have here."

Naomi responded to Yaya's comment with a smirk before taking in the latter's attire with an admiring, almost amorous look in her eyes.
"Christ, Yaya. You look fucking amazing-"

"This just isn't fair."

She was cut off from making any more comment on the girl's undoubtedly glorious appearance by the roguish comments of one of the people Naomi had most been looking to see. He approached them with his typical swagger, dark curls somehow both tidy and in disarray, and warm eyes glimmering with their signature confidence.

"All these guys out here are stuck with eights at best and I get to be with the two best looking girls in the place. I guess I'm just lucky."

Naomi turned to him with a smile of amused cynicism, one brow raised as she met the Beta's eyes.

"Tell me, Archie, because I'm genuinely curious... Has that line ever worked?"

Once again her attention was cut away as a pair of strong arms looped their way around Yaya's waist, and a pair of lips pressed themselves to her neck. A bemused expression clouded Naomi's features as she recognized the owner of the arms, and she looked at the pair of them curiously.

Just as she was about to give the pair a friendly congratulations, Archie congratulated them himself.

Ben, good to see ya bud. Nice to see you guys back together."

Naomi didn't say anything, instead nodding in agreement, a pleasantly surprised smile on her lips. [i]Huh. Well, at least he's being civil. I was sure he was going to act like an total as-"

"Here's hoping it actually works out this time."

Her expression did not change in the slightest as she gave Archie a sharp elbow to the ribs, sly and unseen by the two lovebirds, and she carried on the conversation without hesitation.

"So... when did this happen?"

As Abby joined the group, Naomi felt a flush of pity for the girl, understanding what Abby must be feeling all too well. However, she knew better than to bring up the taxi conversation given the current company, so instead she shot Abby a cheerful thumbs up in response to her question and smirked flirtatiously at Yuda.

"And here I thought you said you weren't going to dress up cute for me."

Yaya smirked at Naomi, "Christ, Yaya. You look fucking amazing-" She tucked her hair behind her ear and eyed Naomi as well. Naomi wasn't looking so bad herself and Yaya wasn't discreet in eyeing her svelte figure in the figure hugging sexy black dress. They were best friends but not too long ago her and Naomi found themselves making out at a party together, not that they discussed that anymore. She was about to tell Naomi herself when Archie slid into their conversation.

"All these guys out here are stuck with eights at best and I get to be with the two best looking girls in the place. I guess I'm just lucky." She rolled her eyes at him and sent Naomi a look that simply said: can you believe him. But even as she was rolling her eyes at him she felt a smile forming on her face. "Tell me, Archie, because I'm genuinely curious... Has that line ever worked?"

She was laughing lightly into her palm when she felt two warm familiar arms wrapping around her waist. She giggled as she leaned into him though that giggle became a lot throatier when he kissed her neck. She turned in his arms and smiled up at him "I believe, I owe you a dance." She nipped his jaw playfully, "Yes you do," She said with a coy smile. Though that smile quickly turned sceptical when she heard Archie open his mouth.

"Ben, good to see ya bud," Yaya turned her head to to look over her shoulder at Archie, surprised that he even acknowledged Ben and even more surprised that he acknowledged them getting back together but it made much more sense once he finished his statement, "Here's hoping it actually works out this time." She raised an eyebrow at him but simply rolled her eyes and focused on Naomi instead.

"So... when did this happen?" Yaya turned in Ben's arms but remained exactly where she was. She was about to explain their situation when Abby arrived with one of the Theta girls in tow. She smiled in Abby's direction, "Hey little." She added before turning back in Naomi's direction. "We're not officially together but..." She said glancing up at Ben with a smile, "We're definitely discussing it."
