RP Role: Scientist 3
Full name: Dryst Maeda
Age: 24
Clearance Number: 3
Specialist Subject/Occupation: Beastial
Their subject's number: 501-4Z

Height: 6’ 2”
Weight: 168 lbs.
Eyes: Auburn
Hair: Bright red

Attire:
On an average day, Dryst is generally found in any loosely-fitted clothing such as sweatpants, sweatshirts, and the like. More professional occasions, however, force him into any scratchy and uncomfortable clothing he can find. His work clothes consist of a simple white button-up and matching tie.
Distinguishing Features:
He adorns a scar running from the left side of his neck to his right hip bone.

Personality

Any signs of humanity?:
To Dryst, working at the research centre is merely a “first job after University” kind of set up. He was recruited by his uncle, one of the IT specialists roaming the facility. Dryst is indifferent towards the authority and the other scientists for the most part. However, he holds a certain curiosity towards his assigned test subject. He was bred from a family of racists – to hate anything different from his own, however his subject has invoked an interest.
Dangers:
___
Any known inflammatory situations?:
Dryst is all about control. If even the slightest chance of losing it occurs, he will do everything in his power to secure the situation.

Equipment

Dryst carries a backpack filled with certain remedies and defensive equipment in the event of an outbreak.
Weaponry: He holds a .50 cal silent pistol in a holster snugged to his left hip, and next to that, a thin, smooth knife. He hasn’t had to utilize them yet, and will keep his shirt untucked as to conceal his weapons from others.
Defense: Inside his bag, Dryst adorns sedative medicine and a tranquilizer gun as well as bandages and rope to secure the creature.
Technology: Only a cell phone; he is too young to know how to use the other high-tech gear, and much too pompous to admit to needing them.

History

History:
Dryst was born the second son of a highly decorated financial man and his esteemed wife. Being the middle son in a family of three boys, Dryst often found himself shirking into the shadows of his older brother, who was also the first to attend university. It was twice as difficult to find himself standing out from his brothers when the Maedas realized their eldest son was a virtual genius. They helped their firstborn in his goal to become a researcher, often leaving the two youngest family members to fend for themselves.

Dryst and his little brother became inevitably close to one another and frequently expressed their acrimony for the rest of their family. Dryst - a restless and particularly difficult child to begin with - became especially bitter towards his father, whom was only interested in the glamor and fame from his son. The two regularly argued over various obstacles throughout life as he grew older. His genius of a brother left to continue his studies as a researcher, leaving Dryst as the head of the family. This was unfortunate for his father; even after the son had progressed from adolescence and into adulthood, they still found themselves comparative to opposite poles of a magnet.

Choosing to ignore his father’s orders, Dryst found himself spending an increasing amount of time at the local veterinary clinic. He helped the two elders with caring for the animals left behind and grew increasingly attached to them, rather than people. He grew apart from his younger brother as well, leaving the boy and their mother on their own as he gradually spent less and less time with the family as the days progressed.

Two years passed, and his younger brother passed away. It wasn’t unexpected, as the youngest child was always rather fragile and sickly, but the impact nearly killed his mother, as well. Mourning filled the house, and Mr. Maeda found himself pouring his life into his business – rarely making an appearance at home. If Dryst had to describe his mother, he might use the terms ‘dead’ or ‘lifeless’. This caused the boy to rebel, a phase that he never quite got over.

As the time came for Dryst to enter university, he moved in with his uncle, a man who kept his life shrouded in secrecy. He attained his master’s degree in biology and soon received word from his uncle of a well-paying job. Following his advice, Dryst has worked at the facility ever since.

So begins...
