xxAppearance:
Tony is all about comfort. His style is very laid back and when he’s not working, he’s shown to be a T-shirt and jeans kind of guy. He’s definitely not afraid of getting dirty. Color wise, he prefers neutrals, but has worn greens and blues. He’s stands tall at 6’1”.

Even though he’s out of the Air Force, he still works out a lot in order to keep himself in form. Due to his appearance he definitely gets a lot of looks from local girls (and even gay guys). Even though he exudes confidence in his appearance, he’s not one to brag about it. However, because he’s not in the service, he doesn’t bother too much with his hair, liking the ’messy look’, but he will clean up when he has too, especially around his mother. He only has one tattoo on his upper chest area of a cross.

ImageImage

xxPersonality:
Tony is definitely your typical All American homegrown man. He was raised to be a gentleman and always tries to treat everyone with respect. He’s the type you take home to meet your mother. He has high standards for himself, and because of this, he is his own worst critic. He knows he’s not the most intellectual person, but is smart enough to ‘read a room’. He’s not afraid to stand up for his beliefs. While never one to get into a fight, you don’t ever want to mess with him either. His experiences in the Air Force have also taught him that there are grey areas and nothing is ever completely black and white. So even though he never understands why certain things happen, he knows that it still happens.

After the death of his wife, he went through a dark period in his life, but thanks to family support, he was able to find himself again. Even though he’s learned to live with his grief and is ready to find someone again, he knows a part of him will always miss his first wife. However, because of her death, he’s become a lot more protective of those he loves. He also doesn’t like those who aren’t genuine and are manipulative.

xxHistory:
Anthony Justin Rogers grew up in large household. He’s the 2nd oldest of 6 with 3 brothers and 2 sisters. His father was in the US Air Force, but retired after the required 8 years and settled in Colorado and started his own construction company. It was through this job did he meet Tony’s mother since she did secretary work there. Growing up, Tony learned the value of respect and loved hearing the stories his father would tell him while he was in the service. He also became friends with his future wife as a kid and the two would become high school sweethearts. Football and church important to Tony growing up and he also loved helping out his dad at his job.

Once he was in high school, he was allowed to work part time with his father. Still he wanted to ‘seed the world’ before settling down and so he enlisted into the Air Force right out of high school. Once out of Basic, he went to his first assignment out of state, all the while keeping a long distance relationship with his girlfriend. He goes to college through online classes to be an architect. When on break, he proposes to his girlfriend after she graduates from college. Both get married when 24. However, shortly into their marriage, she gets sick and soon they find out she has stage 4 cervical cancer. Even though Tony’s next assignment takes him back home to Colorado and he tries to get her the very best care, she eventually succumbs to the disease and dies when only 25.

Tony looses it and allows work consume him and does retire from the Air Force after 8 years when he’s 26. He takes a break from life, living with his parents as he tries to figure out his life. After several months, he goes back to working, starting out as an construction worker for his father’s company. Being busy helps him through his grief, and by the time he turns 27, he is ready to move on, even though a part of him will always love his first wife. He got some excellent advice from his mother who told him, “Don’t stop loving Emily (his late wife), just make room for one more, because she’ll need you more.” Also, he believes Emily is in a better place and not suffering either and would want him to be happy.

It’s through his mother that he finds out about the show and she suggest he give it a try, especially since he doesn’t see himself dating any of the single ladies he knows in his area. So with a few hesitations, he signs up for the show.

xxSeeking:
Some one to grow old with. He definitely wants someone who is family oriented and will be faithful. He wants kids, so he wants someone who is good with kids also. He wants to stay in Colorado, but since he has family scattered all over the US, he doesn’t mind relocating since with his job as an architect and in construction, he can work anywhere. One perk would be someone who can cook. He can manage, but is better at grilling and barbecuing.

xxLikes
Football is one of Tony’s biggest loves. His #1 team is of course the Denver Broncos and he always tries to catch one of their games and has even been to a few of them. He’ll watch other sports too, including baseball since his youngest brother is in the minor leagues. Like his father, he also enjoys fishing, grilling, and working with his hands. He loves ice tea. One of his favorite pastimes is attending family events.

xxDislikes:
One of Tony’s biggest pet peeves is disorganization. If he sees anything ‘out of place’ he always fixes it up. Tony also doesn’t have a big sweet tooth, and can’t stand cake. He also doesn’t like those who don’t support the military. Disrespectful and manipulative people are the kinds of people he tries to avoid as they get under his skin easily.

xxStrengths:
    *Working with his hands
    *Honorable
    *Sincere
    *Dependable
    *Organized
    *Patience
    *Good Manners

xxWeaknesses:
    *Self-critical
    *Over-protective
*Cooking in general (unless it involves grilling and barbecuing)
    *Multitasking
*Procrastination (a weakness he’s develop since retiring from the military due to not having to worry about strict procedures)
*His Family (don’t ever talk bad about them or he will flare up)
    *Stubborn at times

    ImagexxFun Facts:
Tony actually likes learning about family history and learned from his aunt, the family genealogist, that his mother’s family came to the States prior the country establishing back in the 1600s from and had a family member be in every American war from the American Revolution to now. He actually has a cousin who’s still in the US Navy. While in the Air Force, he’s lived in Maryland, England, and Florida.

DAY 01
Paradise Island, Bahamas
Image

The sound of crushing waves can be heard in the distance as fourteen complete strangers stand before James Haynes, the host of Are You the One, with their new home behind them. This luxury villa will be their home for the next seven weeks as they go on a journey to find their perfect match. Seven men stand on the left side and seven women on the right. A few are already eyeing the opposites appraising each of them.

"Welcome everyone. You are all here for one thing, because you all have one thing in common: you suck at relationships." A few people laugh nervously, some shrug more or less agreeing, and others grit their teeth awkwardly. "Each one of you has been put through an extensive matchmaking process, using psychologists, compatibility tests, professional matchmakers, and information from your friends, families, and exes. Through this, we've been able to find an ideal match for each of you."

"Take a look at those across from you. One of them is your perfect match and it's up to you to find out who it is. You will have seven chances to pair up and find those seven, perfect matches. If you can do that, you'll leave the island with love and one more thing..." He pauses for dramatic effect, the contestants stare at him excitedly, "You will split the largest cash prize ever offered in MTV History. ONE MILLION DOLLARS!" The group cheers, pleased by this news. "Good luck!"

After finishing the show introduction, everyone moved inside the house. The sky was slowly moving into dusk so it was time to get the intros out of the way. Daniel lead the way, taking on the role of pack leader like he does with most things. While the house was gorgeous and he definitely appreciated it, he was more drawn to the bar hidden behind the staircase leading upstairs. 'Finally, my area of expertise.' He found an unopened bottle of champagne with fourteen glasses. He preferred something a lot stronger, but he can make do with this for now. "I found the alcohol everybody! Let's get this party started!" He began to pour drinks to anyone who held their glass out. He made his signature flirty eyes to a few of the girls before serving everyone.

Daniel raised his glass, "May we all find love or at least a good time! I look forward to getting to know all of you and I can't wait to find my match among these beautiful ladies. To being rich in love and rich with love." Daniel took a drink, finishing his toast. He ended up drinking the whole thing at once. A glass of champagne wouldn't have any effect on him so chugging the thing wouldn't hurt him.

~
Confessional
"I was laying it on thick when I gave that toast. I'm here to win the money. The girls in this house better not pull the whole, " He pauses, making his voice high pitched and valley girl sounding, "I like him, but he's not my match' thing, because I'm not losing 70K just because you felt something for the wrong person. If I find an awesome girl, great, but I won't have a hopeless romantic ruining this for me... God, I feel bad for the girl you've paired with me."
~

The toasting having ended, introductions among the contestants began. Daniel was right in the middle of it. Did he go over to the cute blonde he saw earlier? Or red hair? He could go to one of the three brunette girls or the two black haired ones. He decided on one of the brunettes. He thought he heard her name started with K. She was easily one of the hottest girls in the house and had the 'Head Bitch in Charge' look about her. He liked the difficult ones. They were the hardest to win over and most likely his type. Assholes tend to go with the bitchy girls so why not start there?

Daniel approached her, going straight for the hug. It was appropriate considering what this show was about and it didn't hurt to have some physical contact. "Hey! How ya doin'? I'm Daniel."

Joshua followed the rest of the men down the stairs and straight to the bar. The pack was led by one whom he wasn't too find of, Daniel. He had a pack leader quality that reminded him of the popular kids in high school, and this wasn't high school. Daniel had taken it upon himself to pop open the first bottle of champagne of the night and pour for those who extended their glasses, which Joshua did.

He took the opportunity to let his eyes scan the crowd. There were so many beautiful women and he wasn't sure who he wanted to approach first. His gaze lingered on a caramel skinned girl with very curly hair, trying to catch her eye. He thought her name was Franky but he would have to ask again after they - oh no, Daniel had decided to give a toast. This ought to be good.

"May we all find love or at least a good time! I look forward to getting to know all of you and I can't wait to find my match among these beautiful ladies. To being rich in love and rich with love." Daniel spoke, raising his glass. Josh followed suit but rolled his eyes a little bit at a speech he was fairly sure was bullshit.

~
Confessional:
"That guy is full of shit. I really hope none of the girls are falling for his show. He might be a great time at a party, but I don't see him being serious enough to have a full time relationship.
When things with him start to go down hill just remember that you heard it from me first."

Josh winks at the camera.
~

They all clinked their glasses together and Josh downed his in one swig. Finally, the theatrics were over and it was time to get down to business. He nudged the man next to him, Tony, and asked, "Who are you going after?" Tony was a good man as far as Josh could tell and he already considered him to be the best friend he'd made here thus far. He hoped there was a woman here who was good enough for the southern grown, traditional, gentleman that Tony was.

While he was waiting for a reply, Josh's eyes had found Franky again, but they had also glanced a girl named Gracie and another one named Gwyn. It was difficult to know who would be the smartest to approach first as they were all stunning. Since it was only the first night of many, though, he didn't figure it would matter too much whom he talked to and whom, if anyone, he hooked up with tonight. He turned back to the bar and got a shot of Jack Daniels. Within seconds it was gone and quickly replaced with a rocks glass full of Jameson, neat. He took a small sip and licked his lips, eye darting between the girls and wondering to himself if anyone was hoping he'd be the one to approach them.

Tony Rogers
{27~#006400~Colorado Springs, CO~Here}
Tony had been to many places, but never to a tropical location. It was certainly a big departure from Colorado. He had lived in Florida, but that was the Panhandle, not like Miami and if he was being honest with himself, he did prefer cooler weather and higher altitudes. Still he learned to adapted to new situations so he was pretty sure he would manage here. He did need to buy new closes though and his mother and one of his sisters helped him out in that area since he wasn't a fan of the activity. The place they were staying out was definitely fancy. His parents had their dream home now, but even it wasn't this big since his mother did not want to clean a big place. If by some chance he did win money at the end of this, he made a promise to himself to send his parents on a nice cruise. He did discuss it with his siblings and all were on board with the idea. If not, they already decided they would just do it anyway, but it would take longer.

Tony's mind was diverted to the present when their host talked about the game and it was then Tony started looking at the women. First one that did catch his eye was the blonde, but not not wanting to be rude he only glanced at her briefly before glancing at the other ladies. All of them were lovely, but this didn't surprise him. His mother watched these kinds of shows and he learned good-looking people always made it onto these shows. He didn't appreciate the host's comment about sucking at relationships. He knew he was good at relationships, he had been married and very dedicated to his late wife Emily. Thinking about her now still brought about some sadness, but he knew that his late wife would want him to be happy and he did want a family too, so he figured it wouldn't hurt to try this.

Confessional
"I honestly don't know what to expect in this kind of situation. I plan to take it as I go. Quick shout out to my family though, thanks for everything."

Once the host left, one of the guys took charge with passing out the drinks. Having seen the guys before the girls, Tony knew already this would be one of the 'party guys' and would have an extra eye on him. He himself wasn't a fan of wine, so grabbed a beer instead. Soon, one other guy joined him, one that Tony liked already.

"Who are you going after?"

"Well, the blonde initially caught my eye, but I plan on finding out more about these ladies before deciding who I am spending time with more."

He honestly didn't know what to do next though. This was a unique situation and he felt like a fish out of water at the moment.

In response to his question, Tony had offered an unsure, "Well, the blonde initially caught my eye, but I plan on finding out more about these ladies before deciding who I am spending time with more." Josh felt a bit sorry for him as he seemed so uncomfortable.

He patted him roughly on the shoulder and said, "Just don't think too much about it, you'll psyche yourself out. Have fun. It's only night one." As Josh spoke, he watched Franky catch his eye, smile, and wink. The girl she was talking to, Gwyn, seemed to notice too and dragged her closer, making it painfully obvious that she was setting Josh up to make his move. A laugh escaped his lips as he took another drink of his Jameson before holding the rest out to Tony, "Drink up, my man. I'm going in."

If he had been sober, walking up to a couple of giggling girls would have been difficult, but since he had a couple drinks in him, most of them hard liqour, he had an air of confidence about him. He had seen the two take shots of what he'd quessed were tequila based on the fact they'd sucked limes afterwars and quickly asked the bartender for two tequila sunrise, top shelf, and a Jack and Coke for himself.

Walking over, he passed Jake, another guy he'd befriended when the men had been getting to know each other. Josh offered him a wave as best as he could with his full hands. The alcohol was already making his head swim a bit and he had half a mind to stop and talk to Jake, as he was cute and he and Josh always had good conversations. However, this was a show about men and women finding themselves, and starting the show off by hooking up with a dude wasn't going to help his chances of finding a match. He shook the thought quickly and kept his march over to Gwyn and Franky.

"Ladies," Josh started, when he approached the women, holding out one hand in which he was balancing the two drinks he'd gotten for them. "I think you might need more than one shot to make it through tonight." He smirked, one corner of his mouth turning upwards. While he had offered both of them a drink, his eyes were currently on Franky, twinkling.

~
Conffesional

If we're being honest, I don't know which one of the ladies I'm more attracted to right now. A few of the men have caught my eye as well. That Jake is a looker. If he were my bedmate - shit, did I just say that?
Josh laughs nervously, rubbing the back of his neck.
Sorry. I've had a few drinks. I - I didn't mean that. It's the alcohol.

XXXXXXXXElizabeth Sawyer
{ Twenty-Four | #259ADF | Dallas, Texas | HERE }

Elizabeth couldn't keep the smile off of her face as she sat through the open ceremony for the show. Getting on this show was a one in a million chance and she couldn't help her excitement at being one of the few chosen. The remark about being terrible at relationships was true for her so she couldn't help an awkward laugh. She hasn't had a ton of luck in the dating department so hopefully her luck will change now.

After finishing remarks, Elizabeth followed everyone to house and immediately was greeted with a glass of champagne. She was used to such things after dance performances so having a glass wouldn't hurt. However, she wasn't planning on getting drunk. Every speech her father gave her about alcohol and boys came to mind plus the fact that her actions would be seen on TV played a role in her choice too.

The guy giving the toast was one of the several guys that caught her eye during opening remarks. His speech was super cheesy, but she thought it was cute in a cheesy way. She took a drink from her glass, moving closer to Gracie. She was one of the girls she felt an instant connection with despite only meeting for the first time earlier today. Elizabeth knew she was at a bit of disadvantage coming into the house. She was the friend type more than the romantic kind so she felt she need to up her 'game' if she wanted any of the guys to notice her. Having a friend to sympathize and spill these doubts to would be necessary if she was going to survive.

It seemed like it was time to socialize with everyone. People were already partnering up and Elizabeth felt awkward about whole situation. Going up and talking to someone? Piece of cake. Going up and flirting with someone? A disaster waiting to happen. A few guys were still by themselves, but Elizabeth wasn't feeling up to that just yet. She definitely wanted to talk to the cutie pie with the curly brown hair and the All American boy, currently sitting by himself when his friend left. When Gracie mentioned exploring, it sounded like a better option than trying to talk to the guys themselves plus it could be an opener for the guys to approach them.

"We have to explore!" She grabbed Gracie's hand before practically dragging her upstairs. "We need the best bed before the others get taken." The sight of all the seven full sized beds brought an uncomfortable chuckle. She guessed they would try to get everyone to share a bed, but the fact that all seven of them were almost touch each other, it was more of a giant matress.
~
Confessional
"I get that they want all of us to be as close as possible, but I'd rather not roll over and be in bed with a different person. Hopefully, whoever is next to Gracie and I won't get those kind of ideas. I'm a hug cuddler, but not with strangers."
~
Feeling the need to share this newfound area, Elizabeth felt the need to share. Calling out from the top of the staircase, "Check out the bedroom!" Hopefully, one of the guys from earlier would follow them up.

XXXXXXXXXXXXJack Armstrong
{ Twenty-Six | #bd0808 | New Orleans, Louisiana | HERE }

Jack couldn't believe the mess he's gotten himself into. He despised TV shows like this one. The likelihood of him and this 'perfect match' ending up together was less than likely. Hell, nearly half only end up hooking up and then being 'friends.' Yes, he is being cynical and he was also trying to hide how uncomfortable he was. Jack wasn't the outgoing type this show looks for and he is as awkward as he is quiet. He felt like the host was talking directly at him when saying they all sucked at relationships. Jack's past relations didn't end on the best terms so he'd be surprised if any of these girls gave him the time of day.

Champagne was being served, followed by a mediocre at best toast. Daniel, he made a point of remembering all of the guys' names, reminded him of every jock he met in high school: cocky, full of himself, and an attention seeker. The guy was irritating, but Jack wasn't going to do anything about it unless Daniel pissed him off. It was too early to tell, but Jack could tell this guy is going to be the asshole of the house.

Needing something stronger than champagne, Jack got to work making himself a whiskey neat at the bar. He's been told he's more outgoing when he is intoxicated, but starting the night off drunk wouldn't do. '"Don't do anything stupid, Armstrong." He mutters to himself as he takes a drink, leaning on the staircase.

He guessed now was the time to talk to talk to the girls in the house. He saw a few girls he'd like to get to know. The pretty girl in the black dress was in a group with another girl and Jake and Josh. Jack wasn't the type to try and join a group he wasn't close with. He saw a few people he would've liked to have a chat with, but when he heard someone talking about the bedroom, Jack thought that sounded better than trying to approach someone.

He made his way upstairs, surveying every inch of the house. It was a nice vacation home for the time so he was happy about that. Two girls stood upstairs, the blonde and the redhead. The blonde was the stereotypical American beauty while the redhead was more the cute, quirky girl. They looked to be nice, but appearances can be deceiving. Jack himself is a prime example. He took a seat on one of the beds, claiming it as his own and whoever wanted to join him. Jack wasn't picky. Taking a breathe and forcing something out of his mouth so he wouldn't sit there in brooding silence like he usually does. "I guess they want us up close and personal."

Gracie Deschamps

Gracie raced after Elizabeth to look at their sleeping quarters. She never even bothered to grab a drink herself. She did drink, but only socially. Her father was French after all, so she actually became familiar with wine before she was legal. Still her parents had taught her the responsibility of it. She never drank when going into risky areas or when vlogging. She had to set a good example after all.

After checking out the sleeping quarters, it wasn't long before they were joined by one of the guys.

"I guess they want us up close and personal."

Gracie giggled at that but before she could reply, Elizabeth commented.

"Maybe, I'm more of a 'get to know you better before hoping into bed' type. I'm Elizabeth by the way."

It now just occurred to Gracie that Elizabeth didn't want to bunk with a guy. She had never bunk with a guy either, unless she counted all of the times she had to share a tent with her father. If she was honest with herself, she wouldn't want to bunk with a guy either. It was a good thing she was comfortable with Elizabeth because she wasn't sure she could bunk with any of the other girls, even though she liked several of them. Soon the man introduced himself.

"Hey, I'm Jack. Sorry if I scared you. I should work on getting louder, I guess."

"Hi there Jack, I am Gracie! And no worries you didn't scare me in the least. Personally I am just glad we got nice beds. I can't tell you how many times I've slept in a tent off grid. Now those times are an experience, let me tell you." she said, giggling.

Confession
"Seriously, this one time I was actually sleeping in the middle of the jungle in India. I got wet a lot, but with my good tent, at least I never got wet at night. I did learn a valuable lesson though, never go camping during the raining season hehe."

Looking around she decided it was time to rejoin the crowd.

"Hmmm, might we rejoin the crowd now? I never got myself a drink yet. I do hope they have a good fruity wine down there, or better, a margarita machine."

Tony watched as Josh headed off to talk to a couple ladies. Seeing others had started interacting, noticed a few missing. It was then he recalled that the blonde and red-head had headed somewhere else. Probably looking for their sleeping quarters. Deciding he would check it out himself, he headed for that that area.

Sure enough as soon as he arrived, he saw the two ladies and one of the guys. Looking at the beds, he came to the quick conclusion that they would be sharing. He already knew right off he wouldn't be asking any of the ladies. Not only would it not be appropriate, but it might make the girls uncomfortable. He knew not all guys were like him, but he was sticking to his morals. He didn't mind sharing beds with a guy though. He's had to share beds with his brothers in the past.

"Good evening. I hope I am not interrupting anything. This is certainly nice place. Oh, my name is Anthony, but you can call me Tony. Everyone in my family does."
