Personality: Standing straight and proud, Laura Bolverk embodies the virtues of a noble knightess in both body and spirit. She speaks her mind without fear or hesitation, often to the point of being blunt or insensitive, though always with a sincere smile and a courteous tone befitting a lady. She claims to prefer peaceful solutions to a conflict over violent ones, but always proves herself more than willing to take up arms to defend her beliefs. This eagerness of hers tends to drive Laura to throw caution to the wind and charge straight into dangerā¦ for better or worse. One thing that Laura appreciates above everything else, is food. Hearty, nutritious, delicious foods, with a preference towards maritime cuisine. āA full stomach is the first step to a triumphant dawn,ā as she would say.
Biography: Laura could never forget the oldest memory she ever had. When she was but a young girl, she walked across the sandy white shores of Triveila, and gazed into the horizon beyond, where she witnessed the seemingly boundless reaches of the sky and the sea. She believed, that if the Gods could create such beauty in this world, then nothing would be impossible to achieve. And to an extent, it was true for herself. Born the youngest of seven to House Bolverk of Triveila, Laura dreamt of following in the footsteps of her parents and ancestors to become a knight. She trained under the best blademasters of the countryās Order, honing her body and spirit to their limits, eventually becoming a master at both ground and mounted combat with the spear.
For five years, she fought in Triveilaās name, vanquishing bandits and apprehending lawbreakers one after another. Her victories gave her the nickname of āSteelheartā among her cohorts. Like steel, she was unbending in her sense of justice. And yet, also like steel, her compassion gleamed without blemish. Under the Orderās protection, Triveila was, more or less, a safe country. Not perfect, but still safe. If she stayed, she would have a steady job, a happy life, and, in a few years, a worthy husband and some children. But Laura wanted more than complacency and safety before she settled, before she gave away her maidenhood. She wanted triumph, she wanted an accomplishment worthy of the name āBolverkā!
And so, Laura bid her family and comrades farewell, departing her beloved home to travel the world as a knight-errant. Her travels took her to Gweynura and Shaharan, lending assistance to the local guards and acting as a bounty hunter. For the longest time, Laura have heard of the Red-Eyed Demon, a legendary assassin said to harbor the essence of an evil being inside him. They say that the Demon was invincible, that no mortal weapon could even break his skin. And as she wandered, the rumors of Red-Eyed Demon sightings only grew. Not that anybody she ask would divulge useful information, fearful that the Demon would retaliate. But on her third year of traveling, she found herself arriving in CreāEst, where a group of thieves, a runaway noble and her bodyguard, The Teāi Sai league of assassins, and the Red-Eyed Demonās forces crossed paths...
