Age: 22
Role: Human
Physical Description:
The very definition of an 'English Rose', Amelia's complexion is petal-soft and as delicately coloured as its namesake, with a few faint freckles scattered over the bridge of her nose. Her features, however, are pleasant enough, but not quite pretty. Her lips are a little too small and her nose a little too down-turned to fit such a description, and lend her a rather serenely intense look that is at odds with her personality. Her thick dirty-blonde hair is plaited and encircles her head like a crown, the occasional wisp falling out of place to frame her face. Heavy-lidded grey eyes watch the world from beneath long, fair lashes.
Her feature is slender and the few curves she has are mostly the product of whalebone and tight-lacing. Her dress is expensively simple, but perhaps with a slight penchant for the romantic with a touch of chiffon there and an edging of lace here. The rest of her appearance is usually relatively unadorned, save for a pair of tiny gold loops in her ears and occasionally an embroidered mantel or jacket.
Personality: Shy, naive but with the occasional flash of insight, Amelia is imbued with a sweetness of deposition that can sometimes stray into clinginess. Rebellion does not come easily to her but when pushed right to the edge by the prospect of a life-time spent with a man she found repulsive, she drew on a quiet desperation to go against everything that society demanded of her and avoid her fate by summoning a Visitor.
Powers and Abilities: Mostly illusionary, she has the ability to distract attention from herself and others and form mild mirages or façades that can shield the true identity of an object or person from another. More recently, she has learnt to temporarily cast a cloak of invisibility about herself. Rarely, she can extend it to others by physical contact but the process is immensely draining, more so the greater the mass is under her power.
Profession: None.
Any Other Info: The only child of Lord Albert and Lady Eleanor Roscoe, Amelia is heiress to one of the oldest and most wealthy estates in Eudona. Unwilling to see their money diverted into the hands of one of the nouveau riche, her parents engineered a betrothal to her second cousin; a brash, unattractive man twenty years her senior. For one who had always immersed herself in romantic novels and dreamed of a pre-Raphaelite hero come to take her away from the staid pretence of Ursum high society, this is a cruel fate indeed.
