"LET THE MATCH BEGIN" The announcer shouts as Ruby stood on the field in the middle of the pro-bending arena that was located in the center of Republic city. Her oppenents tonight were the Koi Dragons. She stood in proper earthbending stance as soon as she heard the announcer she quickly rolled out of the way of a rock disc that was hurtled towards her. The other team she knew before was gonna strong thats what her dad had told her before the match. She stomped her foot against the ground and a rock disc flew into the air where she hurled it at the closest opponent she could see. The Koi dragon's firebender was caught off guard and flew back and a loud buzz echoed in the air as he crossed the second line. No sooner had she hit the firebender was she hit with a blast of water knocking her clean off her feet and sent rolling too the third line. The match continued back and forth for at least an hour before Ruby and her team was finally knocked into the water. Giving them their first loss of a so far undefeated season. Ruby got dressed showered and walked out to the cool night air. "you were great sweetie" she heard her father say behind her "come on let's get home" Bolin said puttin his hand on her shoulder. "I'l pass dad I'm gonna go take a walk" she said "alright don't be out too late" he said as he drove away and she began walking the streets.

Dae sat on top of a table in his small apartment on the fifth floor in a meditative pose with a fly buzzing around his head. Dae tried to ignore the bug, but it kept on. "That's it!" Dae yelled as he sent a air punch towards the bug. The air blast also sent the plant in a metal vase behind the bug flying. Just then Jing walked out of his room, just as the plant went flying towards him. Jing used his metalbending to stop the vase. "Another bug?" Jing asked as he placed the plant back on the little nightstand it sat on. "Yeah, another bug. I swear they only come around when I'm getting my meditation on." Dae replied.
"Any progress?" Jing asked as he grabbed a old box of noodles sitting on the table and began eating it. "Nope. I don't get it, this stuff used to be so easy for me. It's been three years since I went to the spirit world, why can't I go now?" Dae answered as he hopped off the table. "I've got no idea. Spirit stuff isn't my forte." Jing said as he tossed the rest of the noodles into the garbage. "Going to work?" "Yep." Jing opened the closet in the living room, inside was his police armor. Using his bending Jing made the armor pieces attach to himself. He stepped on two small piles of pebbles in front of the closet, and used them to form rock shoes. Another two piles of pebbles was inside the closet, Jing used these for his rock gloves.
"Alright, I'm heading out. don't get into trouble." Jing said as he went out the door. "Alright, now that the squares gone, let's have some fun." Dae muttered after Jing left. Dae grabbed his glider staff and opened up the living room window. Dae threw his staff out of the window and dived through the window after it. Dae used his bending to pull his staff towards him, and unfolded his glider and flew towards the probending arena. Dae landed on the roof of the building and snuck inside. Dae stayed up in the rafters of the arena and watched the matches last thirty minutes from above.
Once the match was over, Dae snuck back outside. He was impressed that the match lasted so long, even though he watched only half it. Dae jumped down onto the streets, he got quite a few strange looks from passersby, and placed his staff in the space between his jacket and shirt. Dae then saw the President himself pull up and talk to one of the benders from the match. After the President left he when up to the girl. "Hey, great game." Dae said nonchalantly. "Was that the President? You must be pretty good." Dae said, having no clue of who she was.

Ruby kicked a rock in frustration, as she dwelled on the loss her team had suffered, when she heard someone say to her"hey, great game." " I would hardly called that a good game, we got destroyed I mean it is our first loss all season so we can still qualify for the championship, but stiill its frustrating I made some rookie mistakes." Ruby said turning around as she saw a boy with messy brown hair. "and yeah that was the president, and its not cuz I'm good that I know him" she said sitting on the curb. "he's my dad" she said simply as she lefted the rock she kicked and began messiing with it using her earthbending.
