What is your character's name? Iridescence
What do the locals call them? Nothing, for no one knows about it.
How old are they? Very old.
What is their profession? Sword.
In short, what characteristics do they possess?
Though Iridescence is sentient, it should not be thought of as human. It is a sword, and thus has a very different worldview from any human. There are many emotions it simply does not understand. Fear, especially. It does not truly understand the concept of death. However, it wants to understand, for the most prominent quality it has is curiosity. It is fascinated by everyone and everything, and literally wants to know and experience everything. Occasionally it may become obsessed with something particular and neglect other things, but in the end, it will return to them.
For now, Iridescence is, in a way, very naïve. It does not yet have a true 'personality'. But through constant observation of its surroundings, it steadily grows in spirit.
A summary of their history would be...
When the scholars from the College of the Ancients found the Magi Stone, they also found something else. Hidden in the ruins was also a sword. There was clearly something strange about it. For one, it was a modern bastard sword, not the kind of ancient model that one would expect to find in such ancient ruins. And second, it was in absolutely perfect condition. It was not even dusty. The scholars took the sword along with the ancient tomes.
The scholars examined the sword carefully later, but they found nothing strange about it. From all aspects, there was nothing special about it -except for the place it had been found in. For some time, the scholars made theories about the sword, but eventually lost interest in it, since it showed no signs of being special or important.
It was later sold, and somehow ended up in the tower of Rubius Makarrah. There it lies now, forgotten, waiting for something...
What equipment do they carry?
Iridescence has a black scabbard that has a silver line from top to bottom on one side. It is also nigh-indestructible. Though extremely well made, it is actually just an ordinary scabbard. Its durability is a result from it having been in direct contact with the sword it holds for a very long time.
Anything else?
Iridescence has power comparable to that of the Magi Stones. However, even though it is sentient, it is still a weapon. With a few exceptions, it cannot access its power itself, requiring a wielder. The exceptions are its powerful telepathy, and the way it gradually strengthens any material that is in contact with it -including itself. Because of this, it is completely indestructible through any natural means (disregarding things such as being thrown into a black hole or something, of course).
Did you read the rules?
Rules? What rules?
...Oh, those rules? Yes, as a matter of fact, I did read them.
