Introduction

((A reboot based on a roleplay that I have grown to enjoy. Though grew sad as the original cast members grew smaller and smaller, until hardly were left. Including myself, although I entered later on in the roleplay. This is dedicated to that story as I hope to see it finished in a new light.)) ((Original Title created by Stormwolf321))

War. The word hangs over the land like a wretched storm. All of the sixteen packs once lived in relative harmony. Confined to their territories which they defended with pride and honor. Yet, a mysterious wind has blown over the horizon. Bringing with it unheard whispers of a nameless threat. As the very lands upon which the great Wolf Packs reside, is slowly dieing. Though this is blind in the eyes of the Wolf Kingdoms. As they see their neighbors as transgressors, as irritation and rivalry has escalated into war. A war that threatens to tear Nigerius asunder!

This is the chronicles of the Land of Nigerius. A magical realm home to a race of highly intelligent and mystical wolves. Each divided into Seventeen unique packs. Each pack possesses an ability to manipulate a certain element that is constructed of this world. Their civilizations and societies are intertwined with their element, which gives them their power. The Packs have lived in their own territories and have kept an tenuous balance between each other. Though border skirmishes and occasional turf wars have occurred over the years. History has nothing compared to the all-out war that has raged in Nigerius of late.

Our story will center on the brave Wolves of the land. Each with their own packs and their own loyalties and views of the world. Wolves from all walks of life will gather and their lives, forever changed by this war. And a Destined Group will discover the horrible truth behind the War for Nigerius.

The Seventeen Packs

Image

The Tenneth Pack- The Pack of Fire. The most tempered and most bravest of the packs. The Tenneth enjoy an extremely rich and varied history. As well as enjoy being one of the largest and most famous of the packs. Their pride is perhaps their most outstanding trait they posses. They are also known to be quite militaristic. Possessing an honorable and mighty army at the disposal of the Alpha. They live in the blistering heat of the volcanic, Vulcan Mountains. These wolves can withstand any type of heat. They can also form fire and manipulate it using pyrokinesis.

Image

The Dimitrios Pack- The Pack of Earth. The most strongest and hardy of the packs. These often burly wolves enjoy a rich culture of mining and crafting. Also their strength and army are second to none. Also considered to be the Tenneth's greatest Rival. A long and turbulent history is shared between the two "superpowers" of Nigerius. This pack lives on the tip of the Onatah Cliffs, where violent earthquakes and landslides occur. These wolves can bear on to any land and can pick up the heaviest of objects. These wolves have the ability to form and manipulate rocks into various structures using geokinesis.

Image

The Avira Pack. The Pack of Wind. The most passive, intellectual, and dessisive of packs. Their history is little known to the other packs. As the Avira prefer to remain isolated from the other territories. They enjoy a sophisticated culture of class, art, and science. This pack is almost impossible to reach, living on the floating mountains known as Era where only a narrow bridge is the only entrance. Here violent winds, storms, and twisters take place. Despite this wind change hardly affects these masters of the air. Almost all are born with large, feathered wings. These wings never lose feathers and beat powerful enough to create wind storms. A fun fact, These wolves helped discovered, along with the water pack, watermills.

Image

The Arlyne Pack. The Pack of Water. These wolves are the nicest and most determined wolves. Which enjoy a relatively peaceful existence with the other packs. Not very aggressive or violent. They would rather help their fellow wolf than fight. Though recent times are forcing even this friendly pack to fight back. And fight they have, managing to stave off invasions from both the Tenneth and the Dimitrios in the past. This pack lives in the Nerine Falls where water is the purest and falls glide out from the rocks making a beautiful sight. Floods are less predictable here and are more powerful. Even so these wolves have the miraculous ability to breathe underwater. They manipulate water with the ability of Aquakinesis. These wolves have created water systems all over Nigerius, forming the many rivers, creeks, and lakes of the land.

Image

The Kamaria Pack. The Pack of Shadows. The most mysterious and deadly of all the packs. Little is known about these wolves, as their society is highly private. But what is known is they are extremely hostile. These wolves live in the Black Valley, surrounded by canyon walls where little to no light shows. These wolves can manipulate shadows and can conceal themselves entirely in darkness. It is no rumor they are bitter rivals of the Pack of Light.

Image

The Kita Pack- The Pack of Light. The most peaceful and pacifistic of the packs. These wolves can create and manipulate light using it for various purposes. They have often been accredited with being heavenly, even though they are not divine of origin. Their culture is a lively one, filled with arts and recreation. They are also very hospitable if one chooses to visit them. They only wish to live in peace and harmony. A goal that has often been tested by the Kamaria Pack. Who wish to destroy their greatest rivals. They live in the Sakura Ruins where light shines in the cloudless skies. These wolves created music, instruments, and dance.

Image

The Ausi Pack- The Pack of Ice and Snow. These wolves are sharp tempered and not easy to get along with. Their culture is one built heavily around fishing, as they are the inventors of nets. Like their element Ausi's are commonly cold and efficient. Hardly ever friendly to other packs but their own. They live in the Sharikere Mountains where snowfall is the heaviest. The blizzards are known to be brutal, and the coldest of winds feel like sharp blades across one's pelt. These wolves have the thickest fur, able to withstand temperatures below zero. They have the ability to create ice, capable of freezing wolves or using it as a projectile.

Image

The Aven Pack. The Pack of Plants and Healing. A culture based on agriculture and the art of medicine, these wolves are naturally harmless. Once the great war broke out, the Aven confined themselves to their territory. A labyrinth of trees known as the Acacia Woods. Here they reside isolated from the war in hopes of riding it out. Concerning themselves with the protection of their plants. The trees are tall and thick, and never go bare in the winter. This is in part, thanks to the Aven's ability to make trees grow and move. They also can control plant movement and growth. Even going as far as to enhance the healing properties of certain herbs and plant life. These wolves have created various types of medicines for the other wolf packs.

Image

The Borak Pack. The Pack of Lightning. The last of the larger packs, these wolves are whimsical and often cocky. They usually carry a glowing pendent in the shape of a lightning bolt around their necks. This helps to identify themselves. The Pendent is a very important artifact to a Borak. As each have their own unique pendent. The process of creating and giving these to a newborn is a celebrated occasion. These wolves live in the Arjuna Mountains, where thunderstorms are common. These wolves can summon lightning or generate electricity from their bodies. Often using it as both a defensive and offensive mechanism. Sending charges through their body or launching it as a projectile. They have created devices that are powered by their electrical powers.

Image

The Alva Pack. The Pack of Fear and Death. These wolves are located far off into the Felix Valley. A culture centered on the phenomenon of death. They show no fear in face of their demise. Often welcoming it, as they wish to die as fierce warriors. They deeply respect the cycles of life and death. Often honoring their dead by wearing the skulls of their ancestors. The Alva are stubborn but pride and honor runs deep in their veins. Despite the morbidity of their culture, they are not intentionally aggressive wolves. They prefer to keep a peaceful existence, but once drawn into battle, they give way to savagery. These wolves take pleasure in killing, especially if they slay a worthy opponent. The Alva have the unique ability to peer into another wolf's eyes; capable of making a wolf experience it's greatest fears.

Image

The Jera Pack. The Pack of Time. These wolves are usually emotionless and very hard to get to. These wolves live in the center of the Elian Desert. Where massive sandstorms can appear in seconds. These wolves usually have strange markings on their fur. Their is a great tradition among the Jera, where they wear a pocket watch or an hour glass around their necks. These wolves can manipulate time (Slow it down or speed it up). Even capable of precognition, as they can see the future, or revisit the past. Though only through the mind. These wolves created hourglasses and clocks. (Go figure)

Image

The Hemlock Pack. The Pack of Poison and Venom. These wolves are sly and devious. Most are often mischievous, though only see it as great fun. They live in the poisonous swamps of Nazar. A Hemlock's fur is poisonous to touch, usually having poisonous barbs and spikes. The parts of their body that are the most toxic glow a luminous green. A Hemlock's fangs can be as long as three inches, maybe even more, filled with the most toxic venom in the realms. They usually don't mean to kill and would rather have fun than be serious. These wolves grow peculiarly stronger when eating, drinking, or touching toxic substances. They also have the strangest diet known to Nigerius. Consisting of poisonous snakes, spiders, insects, reptiles, berries, and plants.

Image

The Jivanta Pack. The Pack of Life. A pack of sweet and fun loving wolves. They live in Haya Meadows where life seems to bloom everywhere. These wolves can speak to the animals and assume their shape. Though this shape-shifting only occurs for a limited time, depending on the type of animal. They can also control another animal's mind. Similar to the Avira's ability to control birds in the sky. These wolves are vegetarians and are connected to everything around their birthplace.

Image

The Zalika Pack. The Pack of Entropy. Possessing the ability of telekinesis, they are able to move things with their minds. Other abilities include telepathy and Psionic energy manipulation. The pack hardly ever uses their vocal chords, preferring to speak telepathically, and read each other's minds. Privacy is rarely kept, as they keep a rather public society. Though they have created laws, forbidding them from using another's knowledge for ill-gain or harm. Also they forbid themselves from reading the minds of wolves outside their pack. Yet the greatest law is to never control another's mind. These wolves are nice but very impatient. They make their home in the Syaukat Canyons. These wolves usually have strange, different colored, markings on their fur. Strangely enough each wolf has a different marking and color to match their personality.

Image

The Strigoi Pack. The Pack of Blood. These wolves feed only on blood and with it gain incredible strength and energy. Though if they are deprived for too long, they become sickly and weak, eventually dying. These wolves have extremely long fangs that can pierce the flesh of any victim. Their fangs also secrete a non-lethal toxin, that numbs the body. Depending on how much blood a Strigoi possesses, they could create a blood copy of themselves. Though the copies will deteriorate when all the blood is used up. Creating a copy requires a great amount of blood, so much so that attempting to make more than one, could lead to death. With regular feeding a Strigoi will stop aging, leaving them in their prime. Though their true age will show if starved of blood. On a full moon, a Strigoi is given a power boost. These wolves live in the Adonis Badlands, were the nights are uncommonly dark.

Image

The Seti Pack. The Copy Pack. With the ability to mimic another wolf's natural abilities, they can harness any element. Though the duration is only for a few days. This requires great practice to control and maintain. Not only can they mimic abilities but assume the form of another wolf, but can only copy one wolf at time. They are not considered the strongest pack on Nigerius. In fact being normally weaker than other wolves. Which is why they developed the ability to copy others. As far as temperament goes, they're quite friendly and love to play. Though they have a low tolerance for those with unsavory attitudes. These wolves live in the Zeno Plains.

Image

The Ekos Pack. The Pack of Sound. These wolves are blind for they live inside dark, maze-like, caverns that stretch for miles. They navigate these caves by way of echolocation, much like the bats they share the caves with. They are able to manipulate sound waves and tune them at different frequencies and volumes. Because of their blindness they posses an incredible sense of hearing. So acute they could hear a twig snap from miles away. While sound waves is their form of navigation they also use it for self-defense. From blaring high pitch noises to low base vibrations, these wolves have an unique offense that is hard to counter and hard to escape. Since wolves already have acute hearing their own abilities could harm them. Which is why they were born with the ability to drop their ears flatly against their head, protecting the ear drum completely. They do this before performing any type of extreme sounds. These wolves in personality are typically silent and private. Most preferring to stay inside their caves and keeping neutrality in the current war. They're not typically hostile or mean and can be rather pleasant, despite their stoicism. Also it is not uncommon to see an Ekos Wolf with very long ears, as it is a genetic signature amongst their pack.

Image

The Ourano Pack, The Pack of Space, or the The Lost Pack as historians refer to it. This pack was once above ground and held vast territories to it's name. These wolves possess strange, and infinitely unique pelts, that would seem very alien to any wolf today. Their abilities were great and mysterious as they could manipulate areas of space around them. While they cannot affect infinite amounts of space, they can alter a certain radius indefinitely. This creates a strange realm of effect for any wolf unlucky enough to be caught in an Ourano's hemisphere. While they cannot alter physical matter they can affect the world around the wolf, such as flipping the land beneath them or crushing the wolf through invisible barriers. They also use this ability to travel as they may teleport through different layers of space to reach distant lands almost instantaneously. It's because of their strange abilities is why the other packs attacked them, resulting in the survivors to submerge their land deep beneath Nigerius long ago. The elders of this pack are very religious as they believe their abilities were given to them by an ancient Wolf God who decided to live amongst them, forgoing his immortality. The youth however notice the strange goings on with Nigerius and are curious to explore the outside world. These wolves main domain is a majestic castle that was supposedly built by the maverick Wolf God long ago.

Cousin Packs
These packs are smaller cousins to the much larger packs though non the less cooler... >:)

Image

The Canicus Pack. The Pack of the Volcanoes. These wolves literally live In the volcano. Even able to swim in molten lava. Some are even born from the lava. They are also quite proud These wolves are cousins of the Tenneth pack, except they control lava instead of fire. These wolves can make a miniature volcano explode out of the ground to kill their enemies. They can also breathe lava. These wolves live in the Vulcan Mountains with their cousins.

Image

The Saffron Pack. The Pack of the Coming Harvest. These wolves are very rare and anyone who sees one are blessed with good fortune. These wolves are usually a golden brown color with amber eyes. They control the harvest all around Nigerius and almost all wolves depend on this pack. Though the war has affected them greatly. Ever since the war started to growing season has become unpredictable. Usually yielding weak crops. These wolves are famous for the golden wheat fields they live in. Some say one would feel pure relaxation if they entered the fields, though this is only a legend. They are said to be cousins to the Aven.

Image

The Deon Pack. The Pack of Metal. This pack is cousin of the Dimitrios and can destroy almost anything with their bare jaws. In ancient history, before the rivalry spawned between the Tenneth and the Dimitrios. The Dimitrios and the Tenneth Pack created and weld metal into weapons. It was through this inter pack mingling that the Deon Pack formed. For years the Deon have become exceptional welders. Eventually gaining the ability to manipulate metal. Their ability to control metal can be so great, they can make it grow. The Deon use this ability well to coat themselves in armor or make blades from their limbs and fur. These wolves live near the Onatah cliffs. Deons usually live in solitude and keep a good distance from other wolves.

Image

The Ekaitz Pack. The Pack of Storms. Cousins to the Avira. They have the power to the control weather, but only at a small scale. It's kind of like a prayer, if one wants it to rain, there is a chance it will rain. A huge pack could control weather all over Nigerius. Though in recent times they have become a rarity.

Special Pack

Image

The Spirit Pack. When a wolf dies its spirit goes to Isra where the spirit pack lives. Isra is the heavenly afterlife were wolves go. Isra is beyond the reach of all wolves and can't be seen until you've past. Occasionally, a wolf will come down from the heavens and guide a troubled wolf. In other words they act like a Guardian angel. These wolves cant interact with the living but they can show signs of their presence.

Ezra

While in slumber, Ezra was unaware of the she-wolf's intentions. No, his dreams took up much of his mind. He dreamt of his home, back in Hephaestus City. He was in their home, in a room with his father. He was talking at Ezra, but he couldn't hear the words he was saying. He seemed concerned, perhaps worried? If only Ezra could hear his words. It was then his mother came in and they began to talk amongst themselves. Again, he could hear no words. They both turned and stared at him, they faces hanged long. They appeared very upset. Then the room swirled and then he was outside. He was with his entourage.

They were leaving the Vulcans. The border guards were saying goodbye to them. This must be when he set off for the rendezvous. Then the world swirled and he was in the middle of a battle. Dimitrios and Tenneth were being slain left and right. The world continued to spin, and he was dizzy. Ezra fell a long fall, then suddenly he awoke. He noticed the air was still wet, but furthermore the she-wolf was gone. He wasn't quite sure why at first. Then he remembered, she must have gone to go retrieve his satchel.

At this moment he would feel very grateful. That if she was around. He'll have to thank her when she returns. The Tenneth wanted to sleep again, but his nightmares made him hesitant. The attacks must have affected his mind, more than he would like. Probably because it was his good friends that were killed. He would miss them for sure. So Ezra laid there, his injuries keeping him from moving too much. At the moment he almost wished he had the she-wolf's company. Any company was better than being alone.

BattleDemon

"I would be happy to help. Lead the way." BattleDemon turned and bolted toward Ezra, stopping every now and then so as not to lose Skye or Namu. When she got into the sight of the shelter, Battle couldn't help but feel a spurt of fear enter her blood. What have some wandering wolves have stumbled upon Ezra and killed him? She sprinted to the shelter and found the Tenneth just as she had left him, only this time he was awake. She turned to see Skye and Namu approaching, Battle flitted about until she final sat near Ezra, close for her fur to nearly touch his but to offer no comfort. She sat with a regal appearance, except for the slight hang of her head. She closed her eyes, and listened to her surroundings. She didn't want to look into Skye's eyes or Namu's. She didn't want to see their entire lives play out through her eyes, she didn't want to feel their happiness or their pain. She was in fear of her own ability, and sometimes it disgusted her.

Skye

Skye galloped after the black wolf, careful to keep close to Namu. She knew that if she was to strayaay from him, he would only become more anxious about the whole thing. The fact that she loved being close to him didn't hurt, either.
When they arrived at the black wolf's destination, she immediately wanted to go to the injured wolf. She paused, and turned to Namu. She gave him an affectionate lick on his cheek, before hurrying off to, what appeared to be, a Tennith wolf. Then again, she did appear to be a Kita. "I'm Skye. I'm going to be healing you. Yes I can heal. I'm a hybrid." She introduced hersel, glancing away at the last bit. Before he could object, she began licking him gently. It wasn't with the same sort of affection she used with Namu- this was more like a mother cleaning her pup.
When she finished, she pulled back and smiled at him kindly. "Are we feeling a bit better?"

NAMU

Namu continued to follow behind the black wolf, still unsure of what the two were even doing following her in the first place. Sure, there was a wounded wolf, but since they were both out of their own territory, it just made him nervous. Having the she-wolf close to him made his feel a little better, though not entirely either.

Once they had finally arrived where the injured wolf was, he quickly stopped quite a few feet away, not wanting to get any closer than he actually needed to. From where he stood he could certainly see there was an injured wolf laying there and he was really injured as well. The Aven groaned lightly to himself, his head lowering as his eyes looked around at the place. He was scanning it with his eyes to make sure there wasn't anyone else around as well. At the feeling of an affectionate lick upon his cheek, he looked up to see sky, giving her a soft smile before she ran off to help the injured wolf. Till she was done, he just sat there quietly.

Ezra

Ezra noticed the intimidating she-wolf returned. Though what she returned with surprised him. Instead of his satchel, she returned with two strangers. Strangers who appeared to be able to hasten his healing. They must be Aven, they weren't too far from the Acacia Woods. It would be easy for them to simply walk into their borders from here. Either she did that, or she found them beyond their borders. Whatever the case Ezra was grateful. The one who introduced herself as Skye, volunteered to aid him. While the other Aven seemed content to supervising. Speaking off, he was surprised to hear she was a hybrid.

Ezra has heard of interpack mingling. While he hasn't really anything against it, he knows some wolves are disturbed by it. Those purist-pedigree types, always so close minded. After she licked his wounds, he began to feel better. The herbs from earlier, mixed with the natural healing abilities of the Aven, began to seep past his wounds. It burrowed itself into his damaged muscles, bones, and tissue. It would take more rest, but for the main part he'll live. He looked towards Skye, "Yes, thank you." He then turned the black she-wolf, "And thank you as well." He spoke.

"I appreciate all that you have done for me." Ezra spoke addressing the entire group. He laid their as he took another breath. His mind wandering back to the scene of the attack. It was difficult to forget. Just how did it go so wrong?

_____

Meanwhile...

An outpost made from the earth sat in the barren and rocky lands. There a group of Dimitrios plotted with an unknown group of wolves. The very same Dimitrios that attacked Ezra's operation. They sat around a stone table as the, obvious, head of the group spoke, "How much longer til our scouts return?" Asked the Head. "Well sir with the rain, it has washed much of the scent away." "It will be very difficult for them to pick anything up." Spoke a Dimitrios. "Dammit!" "What happened to following him!?" The Head spoke outraged. "Well sir, the Tenneth put up a bigger fight than we thought." "After we caught them and interrogated them, they gave us nothing." Spoke the wolf. The Head growled. "Damn Tenneth!" "They've been on our borders for months now!" Pushing further into our territory!" "We needed headway!" He shouted.

"Calm down Taron, it isn't over." Spoke an uncomfortably smooth voice. "Well Felonious, I will calm once I have Ezra!" He barked. "Hey, hey no need to bark at us." "After all we did tell you about this shindig." Felonious cooed. "Yes and the Dimitrios thank you for stopping their secret meeting, but!" "But, Ezra isn't going to be a problem." Felonious interrupted. "He is lost and alone, probably even injured." Felonious spoke. "He isn't going to get far, you'll find him sooner than you would expect." Felonious spoke reassuringly. "How can you be so sure?" Taron asked. "Well you killed off his friends, attacked him, and left him to deal with that." "I'm sure that will shake up most wolves." "Unless he absolutely doesn't care about his comrades." Felonious spoke. "Also you sent scouts in all directions, I'm sure he will be yours soon enough." Felonious spoke with a devious smirk.

BattleDemon

BattleDemon's face portrayed that on an emotionless statue when Ezra thanked her. She looked to the Avens when the healing was done, and a slight expression crossed her face. "Thank you for healing him." She huffed, and shook out her coat once more sending water droplets in every direction. "I apologize for interrupting you two earlier and I think I can take it from here." She inserted herself very deftly between the two Avens and Ezra, suddenly looking more harmful than harmless. "I can return later to settle the debt I owe you for saving my Comrade." She attempted to lighten up bu lowering her head a fraction but only succeeded in causing her lightning pendent to fall from behind her neck ruff and catch what light there was. It glittered menacingly.
