No sooner had Joseph finished wrapping up the man's wound than he shot up in a panic, screaming out a name. He felt a pang in his heart at the desperate man's crying. Charlie... That must have been the man's son. He placed a hand on the man's arm and spoke gently.

"You need to rest. You are wounded... You need," he began only to hear a young girl crying out. He looked around and saw a girl not a few feet from him. In a moment he was at her side, examining her condition. She was slumped over her seat, her leg bent the wrong way. He cursed silently.

"It'll be okay," he said gently. He reached down to touch her hand gently, trying to reassure her. Someone else had done quite a good job setting her leg. He gave him a respectful nod. He frowned at her shouts. He wish he had something to dull the pain. Unfortunately, he only had aspirin in his medkit and he didn't know if the airplane served any alcohol or, if they did, any of it survived.

He searched his medkit and was grateful to find that he had the foresight to include a bottle of water just incase. He placed a few aspirins in his hand and offered them to her as he held the bottle close at hand incase she needed water to swallow them.

"These should make it a little better," he told her. Normal aspirin wouldn't do much, but it was better than nothing, he decided.
