|| Rielle||Sebastian

The King looked at the man standing in front of him leaning back in his chair. It wasn't off for Isabelle to go missing from time to time, usually for about a day but she always showed up, he did find it odd however that the stable hand had disappeared as well. "I want to know everything about the Stable hands past, who he is, where he came from." The King said calmly. "And send someone to search for Isabelle, I want a report back." The King didn't want people to panic, it could have been nothing, but with the recent events, he sighed slightly, it could have been something, something to be concerned about, but he didn't want to jump to any conclusions, until who knew exactly who this Stable hand was, or until Isabelle had been gone more than two days, which was unlike her.

Rielle nodded slightly when their kiss broke, it was out of their hands now, and she knew they would face each challenge as it came, together, just as Jason had said, they would figure this out together. Though Rielle was concerned more about Jason's safety than her own, if it came to it, she wondered if he would lay his life down for hers, how she didn't exactly know, and she didn't want it to come to that, now her only hope was that the baby look more like her than Jason; but other fears just nagging thoughts were now welling up inside of her, would the child grow more to resemble Jason? She shivered at the though, maybe the child was Sebastian's, though she doubted it, she could hope, she was going to pretend it was either way, the child would grow up believing Sebastian was their Father not aware of the real story.

Rielle shifted slightly, she wasn't sure what to do next. She was going to have to tell Sebastian, and soon, it was about a month ago, was it safe to assume she was that far along? All she really knew was that they would have to be wed before she started to show which would be around the three month mark, even though she had been avoiding it and so had Sebastian it was no longer an option, Sebastian wouldn't deny the fact the baby was his, Rielle also knew that, and his parents would never stand for having their sons first heir to be illegitimate, she didn't think Sebastian would take to kindly to that either, she didn't think Sebastian would take to kindly to any of it. Something inside Rielle told her he would be angry, the question was at what. "I should go...um...Go tell Sebastian." Rielle said softly her thoughts still scrambled. "Time, doesn't seem to be in our favour." She moved away from Jason and glanced at Annalise. "If she wakes up, send someone for me."

Sebastian moved about his room, he was planning on going hunting getting away from the castle for a few hours, get away from everything that had happened, everything that was happening with England, it was always England, they couldn't just leave everyone else alone, they had to be on top, had to have control of everything, it drove Sebastian mad, though the theory was that the Power the English King had drove him mad, if there was a chance he could control he wanted to.

A knock at his door pulled Sebastian out of his spiralling thoughts, he wasn't sure if he should be Thankful or not. "Come in." He called from the other side of the room, surprised to see Rielle step into the room closing the door softly, it just seemed to sour his mood though. "Rielle, now isn't the time." Rielle simply moved closer to him looking him right in the eyes, she had managed to pull herself together enough that it didn't look like she had been panicked or crying at all. "Its important, very Important." Was her only reply before she started speaking again, giving Sebastian no chance to protest."You know that night?" She asked but by the way Sebastian shifted she knew he knew exactly what night she was talking about. "Sebastian, I'm..." She stopped taking a breath the word still caught in her throat. "I'm carrying your child." Rielle hesitated when Sebastian exhaled deeply as if he was trying to stop himself from exploding."What do you want me to do about it Rielle?" Sebastian snapped at her causing her to flinch slightly. "If we don't get married before I start to show...Sebastian, your first heir will be deemed Illigitimate." Sebastian uncrossed his arms looking Rielle over, she wasn't showing at all as of yet, she was maybe a few weeks into the pregnancy but he wanted to know for sure. "How far along are you?" He was basically asking her how much time they had to sort something out, Rielle knew it, she also knew time was limited and not to be wasted. "A few weeks a month...maybe." Rielle was so unsure about the whole thing herself she had very little information herself except that she was Pregnant, and that it was his child, but she didn't know if she was lying about that part.

Suddenly it was like Sebastian just snapped he grabbed Rielle's arm walking through the door quick enough that Rielle had to run to keep up with him or be dragged. "Sebastian your hurting me!" Rielle pushed at his hand but he didn't seem to take any notice to it, after they got through the first few halls Rielle knew exactly where they were going, and at that point just wanted to scream. Sebastian basically burst through the door, though he wasn't angry with Jason, there was no one else to blame but himself, he didn't even know why he had grabbed Rielle and dragged her all the way there, was he afraid she was going to run away? "Exactly how far Along is she?" Sebastian asked, it was the same question, he wanted to know how much time they had and he knew Jason would know exactly what he was talking about as Sebastian was sure it was Jason Rielle had gone to for confirmation.

Rielle simply looked at Jason, trying not to seem to shaken by the fact Sebastian had actually grabbed her, something she wasn't expecting. She just stood, silently, now praying hard that the child was either Sebastian's or looked like her, as there was know running away from this now, she couldn't run away before, but now, if the child ended up looking like Jason, Rielle didn't think there would be anything she could do to save anyone. She had known what they were doing was a risk, and it was a risk she willingly took, she never expected this, but the again, maybe she should have.

Annalise || Isabelle || James || Jason

The assassin nodded his understanding to the king. He wasn't really worried about Isabelle, he just knew that the girl had a relationship with the boy named James and that he had been put on a list of names to investigate by the king's assassins. "Yes sir," The assassin stated before leaving. His men were waiting for him outside of the door to the throne room. "All of you, check every location Isabelle rides and explores. Check the amount of horses in the stables," The assassin directed before moving to the the infirmary.

Jason smiled at Rielle before she left, giving her an encouraging nod before going to sit back down. A man he recognized as the leader of the kings assassins entered. "What is it? Jason asked. The leader rarely spoke to Jason in person, knowing how important it was for Jason to not be revealed. "Isabelle, she hasn't been seen for hours. Normally that is nothing to be concerned of, but the stable hand has disappeared as well. Have you looked into the boy yet?" The assassin asked, pointing at James's name on the list.

"I just got it. I have the fear that he might be from a different country, a certain enemy. His accent isn't French though it's really hard to tell from his abilities. I always figured he had just grown up around the outskirts," Jason claimed. The leader nodded. "Check the stables. The king wants to know who the boy is and all about him. My fear is the two ran together or... well, someone grabbed her," The assassin stated causing Jason to nod his understanding. He didn't think James would hurt Isabelle, but he did think there might be something more in depth going on.

The assassin left and Jason went back to his desk right before Analise made a sound. He stood, going to her. "Analise, are you awake?" He asked softly as he sat by her bed, brushing her hair away from her face. He saw her eyes were open and were looking around, as if searching for something. "You found me," She whispered as if she hadn't been expecting it. Jason, surprised, just nodded, assuming she meant her friends in general. She found the energy to take his hand, squeezing it with a small smile.

"I promise you, we would never let anything or anyone hurt you to the point we couldn't help you back up," Jason spoke comfortingly, squeezing her hand gently. It was as if Rielle and Sebastian had the gift of arriving at the wrong moment as they both entered.

Jason stood, fearful that something had happened or that bad news of Isabelle had come in. Jason breathed steadily, seeing Analise look over slowly out of the corner of his eye. "I don't know," He said quietly, being honest. It was rather obvious on Jason's face that he appeared surprised at Sebastian's question, as if he was surprised Rielle had told him. He didn't let on that the child in her stomach could very well not be Sebastian's. "I couldn't tell you until she started to show and she hasn't," Jason said calmly, looking Sebastian in the eye. He knew very well how far along Rielle was, or at least a general idea, but claiming ignorance was a great way to protect anyone being interogated.

"She's at least two, three weeks," Jason stated as a minimum, knowing Sebastian wouldn't be satisfied otherwise. Jason looked down at Analise, seeing tears streaming down her face. "Analise," He whispered as he knelt beside her, trying to find why she might cry. Analise was hurt that Sebastian felt the need to be more concerned over when Rielle was to have a baby that he had created, but didn't want, while she herself was in bed, nearly dead earlier that morning. He hadn't been with her, Jason had. When she met Sebastian's eyes, she looked away, her stomach filling with a twist as she felt as if she was just a plaything for him, something to entertain him for now.

It wasn't until morning that James went to sleep, not wanting to leave everybody asleep at night. He had gone to bed right before dawn, checking to see Isabelle was asleep on the floor in her room. He had requested her in a room rather than a cell, praying she wouldn't despise him entirely.

Isabelle

Two days later, Isabelle woke to the sound of her door opening, groggy as she sat up slightly. Her hair had come down in the night, the elaborate pins in her hair now spread out across the room from the rolling boat. "James?" She asked, forgetting he wasn't the boy that she thought he was.

James was on the top of the deck, watching as people began moving their supplies to travel onto the land. He was careful to not make eye contact when he saw Isabelle being moved.

"I want the princess on my horse and ready to go. Her hands behind her back and someone holding the reins until I am ready to depart. When we begin traveling, do not forget you must be surrounding us entirely up until we reach the outskirts of London. You know your orders from there," James commanded, moving about the ship like he owned it, which he did. It wasn't much later that he was climbing onto his horse, Isabelle in front of him. She refused to speak to him, not looking at him at all. He wrapped his arms around her, taking the reins so she wouldn't fall while they were riding.

"Go," He called as he began riding, not talking to Isabelle. He didn't want to make her upset and figured waiting for her to speak was better. "Who are you really?" Isabelle whispered, not looking at him as she tried not to fall, balancing on the horse but having difficulty even with James keeping her on. "I'd rather not tell you quite yet," James whispered back, not showing that his lips were moving. He didn't want the men around him to think he still had feelings for Isabelle, or that he didn't want to hurt her at all.

James
Image

"Is James really your name?" She asked. It caused James to feel sad at the idea that she thought their entire relationship was fake. "It's really James," He responded simply. "Is England going to execute me when we get to London?" She asked. James could hear the fear in her voice and looked around, finding something to distract his eyes from her blonde hair that made him think of solely her. "No. I can't say anything else," He stated. Isabelle nodded slightly, not even a nod really. The two were silent then as they continued on.

That night at the camp, James had allowed Isabelle to have his tent. He sat at the camp fire in the middle of the camp. He had had a drink or two, and being a rather weak drinker, James was pretty distracted. Isabelle sat in her tent, knowing there was men on the outside only to keep her in. Her hands weren't bound, but she was still trapped. She was laying on her side, the familiar scent of James coming from his sleeping mat.

There was a sound at the entrance and she rolled over to see three men enter. They looked a year or so older to maybe five years older. She rolled back over, expecting they had come to get her for James but not wanting to go see him. She didn't know James was incapacitated and couldn't do anything to help her really, or need her. "I don't want to go see him now," She claimed softly, staring at the canvas of the tent. It was a huge tent, possibly able to fit more than ten people comfortably within. The ground had been covered with nothing more than James's sleeping mat. The rest was dirt, the group camping in a clearing that had no grass.

|| Rielle||Sebastian

Rielle moved her eyes from Jason to Annalise but didn't dare move in fear Sebastian's grip would just tighten on her arm, and her arm already ached from the walk down. She listened though, listened carefully, but didn't say anything. She could tell Sebastian was just growing angrier and wanted to tell him to leave, but knew that too, would cause him to snap, he didn't do well being told what to do, not by here anyways.

When Annalise started Crying and Jason moved to kneel beside her Sebastian's grip on Rielle tightened more making Rielle bight her bottom lip to stop the small shriek from escaping, it was when he moved to Annalise letting go of her arm that she herself lost her patience with him, he appeared to just upset everyone more. Rielle pushed him away from Annalise's bed unflinching, speaking before he could retaliate in anyway. "This is a matter between us and your parents Sebastian!" Rielle almost snapped but kept some of the anger concealed yelling wouldn't do anything for her she was also cautious not wanting to rile him up anymore than he currently was, Sebastian was in general kind if you were close to him as far as Rielle could tell, though he never showed her a smidge of any sort of Kindness, though his temper was short just like his Father, and also just like his Father he acted in Blind rage, she had dealt with both. "You will not take your rage out on Jason, or on my Lady, as it is myself or yourself you are angry with, do you understand?" It was the first time Rielle had been authoritative over anyone and of course the first time she had to use it with Sebastian, but it was one thing to yell at her and grab onto her, take it out on her, it was another to take it out on two people who had nothing to do with it as far as he knew.

Rielle didn't even flinch when Sebastian raised his hand as if her were going to strike her, and it looked like he had every intention of doing so, but would he Really made a scene like that in front of Jason and Annalise. "If you strike me." Now her voice was dangerously low. "Your life will be made as miserable as you have made mine. You must remember Sebastian, while you are the Prince and next inline for the French throne, you are not King. I am a Queen, the only people who have the right, is your parents, as this is Their court. Your parents don't want anything upsetting their peace agreement with me, their alliance with me, and if you lay a finger on me or anyone in this room, it will do just that." She watched as Sebastian lowered his hand, and almost wanted to sigh in relief, she tried to avoid contact with him, and knew full well she would pay dearly for it later, but she wasn't going to risk him hurting anyone else.

Sebastian just stepped back from Rielle, he had never seen that side to her, he wasn't sure what set it off, he went to stop Annalise's crying not make it worse, though in the mood he was in he probably would have, and he had already almost taken Jason's head off when they came in, he supposed in some way Rielle was in the right. Though he didn't even realize he had raised his hand to strike her until Rielle had warned him, in that deathly low voice, she definitely knew her way around the politics in France, but that Alliance was one made by her parents and his, and he was sure that she studied every word of it just as he had for years on end, he didn't know exactly why he did, but he did. "Very well." Was all he could bring himself to say, before he started to leave the room. "Rielle, my parents will move the wedding up, it will be in the next two or so weeks, I can guarantee it, my parents enjoy being careful. As you said, my first heir can not be Illegitimate. I will speak to them." Rielle felt her stomach twist at the word illegitimate, it was beginning to get as bad as the word Pregnant.

As soon as Sebastian left the room, Rielle moved from the defensive position she had taken to sit beside Annalise on her bed. "Annalise please don't cry." Rielle said softly brushing her blonde hair behind her ear, gently kissing the top of her head, wiping the tears away in a very motherly and nurturing fashion, she glanced at Jason momentarily as if to say Sebastian might retaliate, might take it out on him, but did he already know that? She turned back to Annalise. "Your safe now, I promise." was that something she could Promise, nobody was ever safe, everyone merely close to anyone royal was constantly looking over their shoulder their whole life, Rielle couldn't even manage to keep herself safe sometimes, let alone her ladies, which hurt her more than anything else had.

Rielle had put the pieces together, Annalise had been ill, the same illness Rielle assumed she caught, but upon discovering she was Pregnant herself it clicked, she just didn't let anyone think it did, and now was not the time to bring it up, nor was Rielle planning on it, she trusted Annalise would tell her indue time. Rielle sighed slightly sitting on the bed in a way Annalise could rest her head on her if she wanted to, Rielle was just trying to be as comforting as possible.

"Does any of this seem like an option to you?" One asked Isabelle, it wasn't exactly an option at all, they had control over her for the most part, though she seemed to prove to be difficult about absolutely everything. "Come on get up." He shoved Isabelle prompting her to get out of bed a final warning movement before they would grab her.

Jason

Jason probably wouldn't have moved if he had seen Sebastian didn't seem keen on Jason getting close to Analise. Jason watched, prepared to help Rielle should Sebastian lose his temper in an explosion. He took a step forward when Sebastian raised his hand, prepared to do something though he didn't really know what.

Analise lay in her bed, not looking at the fight as she seemed to try and catch her breath, as if breathing was becoming difficult. Jason saw she was having troubles again and moved back to her side. "Analise, you must breathe. Stay calm," He began too late. He saw her eyes flutter and began pressing down onto her chest once again, quickly. After he did the allotted times he was supposed to, Jason put his mouth on hers, trying to push air into her lungs once again.

Analise's breathing steadied once again after two more rounds of Jason trying to help her breathe. To him, it was nothing more than trying to keep her from dying though he did care for Analise as a friend.

Annalise
Image

When Jason heard Sebastian state they were moving the wedding up, he was thankful and hurt at the same time. To Analise, it felt like a knife being driven into her stomach.

Jason sat back, running his hands through his hair. When he caught Rielle's warning look, he shrugged. He expected it. After Sebastian had time to sort things out, he'd need someone to take his anger out on. He couldn't very well beat Rielle without being an idiot. Jason on the other hand, he could take what Sebastian threw at him. Could avoid it if he wanted by attacking back, but knew he couldn't do that. He'd take the punches, possibly kicks, then go take a nice, long nap.

Analise didn't make eye contact with anyone as she lay in bed, looking at her hand that lay limp on the bed. Sebastian had to have a child with Rielle, had to be married to her, but what was the point of her loving him then? It would only result in him hurting her.

Isabelle
Image

Jason sighed, standing up. "Better try to go calm him down. I promise I'll try to make things right," Jason stated as a matter of fact before he walked out. He headed to Sebastian's rooms, planning to wait for him if he wasn't yet there.

"Prince Sebastian?" He asked as he knocked lightly on the door. He saw the two guards on either side of the doors eyeing Jason, as if waiting for a signal or something. Jason ignored them, pretty sure he knew what was going on and already dreading what was to come. "I swear I told you all I could tell you," Jason explained, trying to diffuse what he assumed was an outrageous temper.

James
Image

Isabelle ignored the first comment, staring at the canvas as her concern grew. When she was shoved, she looked up at the men with hatred in her eyes. "Let me be, you all already forced me away from home, don't make it total hell," She whispered, laying back down as if she hadn't heard the command. She wondered why James would possibly want to talk with her after the y had been together all day, and he hadn't been willing to talk then. She didn't know he was passed out in front of the fire.

James had just fallen into a deep sleep from his alcohol affected mind. He didn't even realize that there had been a substance in his drink to possibly kill him though enough hadn't been put in. He had borrowed his brother's men since his own had been sent to wreak havoc throughout the castle and hadn't been informed of the sudden leave. They'd be sent word soon enough. His brother's men seemed to hate him, or at least had orders to, as they always tried to anger and disobey James as much as possible without getting in trouble.

Harming the prisoner was the best way since they had seen he was with her often and might have held feelings for her at some point though couldn't show it unless he wanted to get in grande trouble.

|| Rielle||Sebastian

Sebastian groaned hearing Jason talking from the other side of the door, feeling as if the day was just never going to end, everything bad just seemed to be coming at once, Rielle was pregnant, but the wedding had been moved up anyways, he wasn't going to talk to his parents at all, Rielle wouldn't start showing for a few weeks until after the wedding, if Jason's estimation was right which he knew it probably was.

With a sigh he pulled himself to his feet going to the door opening it. "I believe you." Sebastian said calmly, or as calmly as he could, the stress was getting to him, it had been for quite a bit but today he just snapped, it wasn't right of him to have grabbed Rielle like that and he knew it, he just wasn't thinking clearly, the fact that he had gone to strike her scared the wits out of him, as it was something his father would do, and had done, he had struck his mother, and had struck Rielle when she was seven for stepping out of line, though Rielle had stood her ground today, unflinching Appearing completely unafraid.

He shook the thoughts out of his head to clear it for whatever conversation Jason was going to have with him. "I'm just stressed, exhausted. Everything bad is getting thrown at all of us all at once." He said before Jason said anything. "I suppose I'm like my Father in that sense as well, bottle it up as a silent anger until I snap." Sebastian shook his head slightly running a hand through his hair sitting down at his desk. "Rielle and I may not get along, but she didn't deserve that, any of it, not with what happened with Annalise and..." Sebastian stopped for a minute. "The news of the baby...She must have been terrified already, I just didn't help matters." Realizing he was rambling, Sebastian stopped, and just waited, he wondered what Jason was going to say, what he was going to do if he was going to do anything.

Rielle nodded slightly before Jason left, she wasn't sure if it was a good idea for the two of them to be in the same room, though they were close friends, but she still felt uneasy about it. Rielle sighed when Annalise just stared at her hands, she wanted to so desperately help her, do what she could, if she could help at all, she didn't understand why Annalise had reacted the way she did when the conflict with Sebastian had occurred, but Rielle often made it a point not to pry, she was known for letting people tell her when they were ready or when they wanted to, though in some cases she was forced to make them speak, Annalise was not one of these Cases, and Rielle was determined to keep it that way, she didn't want to force anything out of her friend, she didn't want to force anything, but it came in the job description she supposed, a Ruler was supposed to have control, be authoritative, stand their ground, and get what they need from the people they rule, Rielle never saw how that helped anyones stress and anxiety levels, because it really didn't.

When you hear the King and Queen are coming, people are afraid, because they are trained to be, they have the power to destroy you with the nod of their head, if Rielle wasn't who she was she would be scared of them herself, and even then some Royals still made her uneasy. Rielle sighed softly putting her hand on Annalise's."I'm here for you, if you need me." Rielle said softly, smiling a little, she just wanted Annalise to feel safe, loved, and cared for.

The man Grabbed Isabelle forcing her up, the second in command after James which was the older of all of them had said it was orders from James, and he wasn't in the place to question it, or be suspicious that it wasn't James' orders at all, just something to get to him, make him hurt, which it was, but no one knew that. "I said it wasn't optional." He sneered in her ear forcing her towards the other men, they were told to use any means necessary to get her to talk, about what they didn't know just that she had a secret, a whim, an excuse to have her tortured.

"Now, you can do this the easy way or the hard way." He started. "So listen carefully." The man looked Isabelle straight in the eye. "you can start talking and tell us what we want to hear, or we can pull it out of you, one is much easier for both of us." He didn't even be phased by the way they could pull whatever it was out of the Princess. They were trained not to feel remorse for the people they captured, tortured and usually eventually killed to keep them from speaking against them or the crown, the last thing they needed was an uproar of the people claiming the crown was killing innocents, and he himself was sure some just said what they thought the men wanted to hear to get out of it, when they really knew nothing about it at all.

He knew that the Princess was a bargaining tool, so he knew the likely hood of her ending up dead was slim to nill, which meant they had to be careful with what they were doing, she had to remain well enough that she would live, besides if she died, they assumed it would mean war with France, he wondered if in a way thats what all of this was to achieve so that England could have not only France, but because of the Alliance, Scotland as well, though what was being bargained was still unclear to basically everyone, but they waited for Isabelle to decide the fate for herself, talk and remain unharmed, or not, and see what happens.

Jason

Jason was thankful when Sebastian opened the door, visibily relaxing at the way he was presented. The guards on either side wouldn't be needed today, for now at least, so long as Jason didn't find a way to piss Sebastian off. When Sebastian left the door, keeping it open, Jason entered and closed it behind him.

"I kind of understand what you're saying," Knowing he had more secrets and more stress than most people did. He still had to go investigate James. Jason moved to sit on one of the chairs in Sebastian's room. Jason nodded in agreement to everything Sebastian said, but didn't show it to Sebastian in case it insulted his friend. "No offense my friend, but you aren't wrong," Jason stated rather simply.

"It's really stressful for everyone you know. It's dangerous too. I better go back soon in case Analise starts having those breathing troubles again. By the way, since I'm sure Analise would never cheat, you should know, the girl has a child on the way. I haven't quite told her yet, but thought you should know, she's going to be even more fragile than usual, seeing the wedding moved up and that you're having another child with Rielle...

Annalise
Image

I think it's all rather bad for her and the baby's health. Perhaps, try talking to her? I can give you and her space and get Rielle away as well," Jason stated, whispering the last part to Sebastian since he hadn't told anyone else yet. He hadn't wanted to tell Sebastian first, but after what had happened, with Analise breaking down, it was better to tell Sebastian first so he might talk to Analise since the two were closer.

Jason hated the secrets he kept for everyone, but knew he couldn't betray anyone's trust. He loved too many people to lose them all.

Annalise smiled up at Rielle a bit, trying to show she was thankful for her friend while trying the sorrow she felt. She nodded upon hearing Rielle's offer, tucking her head into her friends neck, thankful to have at least one person she knew loved her in a way she couldn't help but be thankful for.

When the men grabbed Isabelle off of the floor, she struggled greatly, kicking out at them in the process. She tripped when she was pushed forward, being caught by the other men but hating it. "Let me go," Isabelle hissed, trying to throw her elbows before they were restrained. When she was told to start talking, Isabelle looked at the group with visible confusion.

"I have no clue what you're talking about. There isn't anything that I hide from people, even kidnappers," She began talking normally then practically spat the last word. Her hair was still up and she was thankful that it was out of the way though it was getting messier and messier as the hours went on.

What she had said was true, she rarely kept secrets from people unless they were deadly, and those were rare secrets. Isabelle continued to pull against her captors, she wondered what they meant by the hard way and prayed it wouldn't come to that though she showed no fear on her face, a skill court life had given her.

Her shirt, one that had once belonged to James, was rather dirty and though it was low cut, showed nothing of her womanly parts, those being hidden behind the bandage she used to move and ride more comfortably. She hoped that if the men decided she wasn't telling the truth, they'd take the shirt first so she might wear it after whatever they did, keeping on the bandage for obvious reasons.

|| Rielle||Sebastian

Sebastian tensed a little more bad news, very bad news, he rubbed his temple closing his eyes, his head was starting to hurt. Sebastian trusted Jason could keep Rielle away, she had always been better friends with him, Jason and Isabelle had made her life easier when they were younger, Sebastian knew that, and he also knew that he made her life worse. "I will talk to Annalise." Sebastian said softly, his guards were sworn to silence, they couldn't speak of anything thy heard, but he was still uneasy about it.

Jason was one of Sebastian's oldest friends, though he would admit they disagreed a lot, on a lot of different things, they always seemed to get on in the end. "Rielle needs some time away from here anyways, a few hours..." He started speaking again looking at Jason. "Besides she trusts you. A lot from what I can tell, she doesn't just defend anyone like that" He said referring to earlier, Rielle defended everyone or at least tried to, if she thought that they were truthful she tried her best, but she only defended her close friends in situations she knew could go horribly, Sebastian knew at least that about her, she had always been that way for as long as he had known her, when they were younger and he teased Gabriella to no end Rielle was always the one to tell him off and get him away.

Sebastian smiled slightly, talking to Jason seemed to relax him slightly, but Jason was always so calm it was hard not to be calm around him or at least calmer, Sebastian laughed slightly at the joke, it felt like forever since he last smiled, actually smiled. "We don't get the chance to spend a lot of time together anymore." Sebastian said his smile fading slightly, they used to spend countless hours together playing their mindless childish games, but as they got older Sebastian's duties grew, and Jason was working more, learning more Sebastian assumed, he was good at what he did, it must have taken practice.

Rielle smiled back at Annalise wrapping her arm around her friends shoulder when she rested her head. Rielle sighed, she wished she could have stopped it, all of it, just changed how things had gone, stayed with her friends longer, then maybe they wouldn't have been taken, she knew what Jason would say, that it wasn't her fault, he always told her that when she blamed herself for anything, which she would admit was a very bad habit of hers.

Rielle talked to Annalise, just about what she had missed, she was trying to get her mind off of it, and wanted her to know what was going on around the castle, there was nothing overly exciting, though she knew that was going to change, she had no Idea Sebastian's parents were already planning to move the wedding. The King would only do that if he felt he had to, he wasn't all to fond of her either, but The Queen was decent to her, slightly motherly if she really thought about it. "I'm sure you will be out of here soon..." Rielle said softly. "I'm thinking you will have to take it easy, but, we will find something to do." Rielle said we, she though Annalise wouldn't want to be alone or would be uneasy about it, Rielle decided to try and spend as much time with her as she could, her and Gabriella, she had been brushing them off quite a bit in the past weeks, but they all needed each other more now than ever before.

Rielle glanced at the door, Jason had been gone for a while and she was slightly worried, though she hoped that Sebastian's burst of anger had relieved his frustration, and that he wouldn't go off on Jason as well, she was also curious as to what Jason was going to tell him, but she wasn't even going to bother asking, she didn't really want to know when she thought about it.

The man just looked at Isabelle, was she really going to go down the hard way, but what could they really do to her without upsetting France to the point they wouldn't even think of bargaining just attacking. "You innocent little act wont get you anywhere..." He growled. "We know you know something." He stated mater of factly, he turned feeling a hand on his shoulder, the eldest of the men was there, the second in command. "Leave her to me." He said softly going up to Isabelle striking her hard enough he was sure it would bruise her fair skin. "Being brave isn't going to do anything for you Princess." He said softly, he didn't want James to hear them and wake up, it would not be pleasant if he did, and if she talked after telling James what happened, he would get her, eventually.

Annalise || Isabelle || Jason

Jason nodded his approval at Sebastian's decision. "Doctors do elicit a feeling of trust for the most part, especially when growing up with each other. I'll take her into the market with me today, I have to ask around about someone and the best place to talk is in the taverns, even if they aren't drunks," Jason said dramatically though he gave Sebastian a playful wink at the end.

"That's because you are growing into the role of the crown prince while I, your faithful sidekick, do everything else. We are rather busy, even though we are only young adults. Me even younger than you though it is only a few months," Jason stated, fiddling with a button on his jerkin.

He sighed, sitting back and wondering how everything would play out. He wondered if Sebastian knew about Isabelle, but didn't press it, not wanting to cause him fear if he didn't yet know. "Two young men in the world, trying not to get killed... By the women we love," Jason sighed, again pretending to be over dramatic. He gave his friend a wink, not giving away that he actually did love someone.

"Good luck soothing her, if she starts having breathing problems, open the windows, she might need fresh air," Jason claimed as he stood, gave a slight wave, and left.

He moved back to the infirmary, knocking before he entered. He saw Analise now fiddling with an escaped curl. Analise smiled slightly at Rielle's attempt to cheer her up. Nodding her agreement. "Probably, but I'll still be able to do things," Analise whispered to Rielle, a small smile growing on her face. When she saw Jason entered, it fell for a moment before returning upon seeing who it was.

"Analise, would you mind if I stole Rielle away for a few hours? I need to try to see how far along the baby is but don't want to disturb you," He stated calmly, apologetically. Analise nodded, shooing Rielle away knowing her well enough to know she wouldn't want to leave. Analise could just sleep, or think about things, preferably sleep though.

When Rielle joined Jason in the hall, he took her hand, tugging her along like they were little kids again. To any guard, he'd see two long time friends going to do something that probably wasn't bad, but they thought so since they were goody two shoes.

Annalise

"Come on, we're going into town. You and I are going to have fun today," Jason stated as he pulled her towards the stables, planning to check them first.

When they arrived, Jason went to the stable James had used as a room of sorts. He went through, asking Rielle to stay with the horses. He searched and searched and found nothing until he caught sight of a necklace hanging off of a nail. It was Isabelle's locket that she had given to Jason.

Jason opened the locket, expecting a flower petal or something, but instead found something else. There was a tiny note inside, one written in English which Jason spoke and could read like most royals could. The note read:

Dear brother, I hope this note finds you well. Our eldest brother is growing impatient as he knows you are interacting with the princess who he wants. I know you would never try to hurt our eldest brother, you are too caring even towards those you trick. This is really to inform you the kidnapping of the ladies is approaching quickly. The princess's date to be kidnapped seems to be approaching even more quickly though it is further away. Do well brother. Yours truly,
Prince Oliver

Jason looked at the note in disbelief. The tiny note told him more than anything. There was only one Prince Oliver that lived in Europe at the moment, the middle brother of the English royals. James was English. More importantly, James was a prince. France had been caring for a prince of England without even knowing it, and he had gone unnoticed under Jason's nose!

"I'm sorry Rielle, I just found something much worse than what the village would have given us. Please, go be with Gabby and do not leave each other's sides, double up on guards. France is about to be in big trouble,"
Jason called over his shoulder as he raced to find the head of assassins who's brother served as the head of all guards and assassins, also acting as Jason's leash in Jason's mind.

Isabelle
Image

After he had informed the man, Jason had made his way to the throne room. He entered the room through a hidden door, moving to the kings side. Everyone's attention was on the gossiping going about the court though Jason's was on James and Isabelle. Jason went to the king, kneeling to the side of his throne as he whispered quickly, "Sir, the boy, the stable hand, James, I found out why Isabelle is gone and why he is as well. He's Prince James Lucifer Puertan, the adopted son of the English king. I believe something happened, when the prisoner in the dungeons was tortured, he wasn't supposed to give information away. Isabelle probably went down because she was mad at Sebastian for commanding such a thing. The men who had gone to kill their traitor found her and took the opportunity, causing James to leave early and not take all his possessions which is why I found this," Jason stated as he held up Isabelle's locket.

Knowing James, since the boy had been so clever thus far, the English people were probably already in England, with Isabelle with them. "I'll go check the ship records, but... I think your daughter is in England," Jason whispered softly, feeling his stomach twist for the young Isabelle.

Isabelle groaned in frustration. "I swear, I'm about as innocent to the world as you are but I don't have anything to tell you," Isabelle stated, wanting to cross her arms but not able to move them. When he faced her again, Isabelle saw someone was behind the man in front of her. He was the eldest, perhaps mid or early twenties.

When he approached, Isabelle didn't hesitate to meet his eyes, pulling against those holding her. When he struck her, Isabelle felt her knees give. She had never been hit so hard, hit before, yes, by her father as well as others, but like this, no. She felt her cheekbone throb in pain, feeling like someone had hit her with a rock. "You know... as well as I do... I don't know anything you'd want to know," Isabelle stated, still leaning on one of her holders as she tried to recuperate. She met the man's eyes, trying to find her footing.

"Ask James, he knows I was never told anything," Isabelle stated, practically spitting his name in her contempt towards him right now. She pulled again, trying to pull away from the larger man who seemed to loom over her.

Sebastian

Sebastian was thankful that Jason was going to take Rielle to the market, he hoped she would enjoy being out, away from everything here as he so dearly wanted to be, but like always he had to remain, he had to complete his duties, do his duties, bow in the face of his own Father Something Sebastian always found hard to do, he sometimes wasn't even aloud to refer to his parents as Mother and Father.

Sebastian skimmed over papers giving Jason a little extra time to get Rielle out of the castle before walking down the the infirmary, there was a very odd pattern going on, his rooms, infirmary, throne room, his room. He shook his head slightly he didn't need to make it hurt anymore than it already did. Upon Arriving Sebastian just peaked his head in to see if she was awake or not before entering, though her reaction to seeing him felt like a knife to the chest, though he was sure she already felt that way, he proceeded anyways, sitting carefully down on the side of her bed. "Annalise...You know I wanted to be here for you when you woke up...but Rielle was with you..and Rielle can not become suspicious not now..."

Sebastian started his stomach twisting making him shift his weight slightly, how was he going to do this? She was in pain already, he didn't want to add more of a burden on her shoulders. "Jason said, you, like Rielle is expecting a child, my child..." He silently wondered if she already knew that, he stood up going to open a window just in case. "Rielle is your friend, and she trusts you, and cares for you, but...I worry her care for you might lesson, and even Rielle I believe can become cold towards someone and I don't want you to lose her as a friend." Sebastian said moving back to sit on the bed, he wanted so badly just to embrace her, but he felt he was the last person she wanted to be touched by. "And you are not just a plaything I am going to drop because I'm bored. I have not grown bored with you, and I will not grow bored with you...Rielle and I, are just a diplomatic Marriage..."Sebastian was trying to ease any fears she may of had, but was explaining things she probably already knew. "We will rule together, and have children as I need more than one heir, but that is it. Rielle will avoid sleeping in my bed any other time I know that, just as I will avoid sleeping in hers...but you are not Rielle...You are you, Annalise, the person I love, and would die for, the question is if you believe me."

Rielle/Gabriella

Rielle smiled as Jason tugged her along, even though she had thought she was never going to smile again he always managed to make her smile, they had done the same as children, he was as curious as she was and always had things to show her, she had loved it, the laughing, feeling free with know chains, know weights on her like she felt now, no real appearance to keep up except being wounded by her parents death, and she was wounded by her parents death, but the only time she was aloud to cry other than in the closed doors of her room was at the funeral, she cried at her crowning as well, but it was silent and she managed to keep the tears at bay. Rielle had to accept the offers of sympathy with a slight nod a smile and a thank you, something difficult for her to achieve at a young age, it didn't help that her Uncle was constantly looming over her, like the monster she knew he was, just waiting for her to crumble, but she never did.

Rielle watched Jason from outside the stable, she wondered why they were hear, she watched as his face twisted into that of utter concern, even fear, she never saw Jason afraid, she almost jumped when he rushed out of the stable telling her to go to Gabriella, to double the guard, it made a pit form in her stomach, something was terribly terribly wrong to make Jason so concerned for him to have that fear in his voice, but Rielle did as she was told, A lot of her own men had come over instructed with her protection, they followed her orders and her orders only which was nice, sometimes the orders of her ladies if it was by Rielle's will.

Rielle came to where the head of her men in France was positioned to stay, she walked into the office without knocking, she usually would but this was urgent, and the door was open, she could hear him speaking to some of the men, so she knew he was there. The men bowed when she walked in. "Your Grace." The head of the guards, who Rielle knew as Christopher greeted her walking around the desk up to her bowing once again, Rielle nodded slightly gesturing for him to stand straight, the four men behind him all standing at attention immediately. "We need the guards doubled on my Ladies and I." Rielle started. "As Annalise is still in the infirmary, I want eight guards there, two with Sebastian's at the door, four stationed through out the infirmary, and two guarding the door to Jason's room in the back of the infirmary." Rielle sighed slightly, the stress was starting to get to her again. "Gabriella, will be with me at all times, morning, day, and Night, We will be staying in my chambers, I would like twelve guards, four in the main room of my chamber, two outside with the Kings guards, and two in each of the others chambers in my rooms."

She felt like she was demanding a lot, but Jason had said double the guards, she was doubling her guards, Sebastian could control his own men and the King and Queen theirs, the men bowed once again, Christopher speaking. "Is there anything else your Grace?" he asked. Rielle nodded slightly. "I want all of your men on high alert, look for anything or anyone who seems, out of place, nervous, distracted, to busy to even pay attention to you, we need to be as careful and aware as possible. If you find someone who meets the criteria, or who you feel should not be here, you stop them, and you keep them, inform me immediately." Rielle took a deep breath. "That will be all. Thank you." Christopher bowed once more. "Of course your Grace." Only standing straight when Rielle had turned her back to leave the room, Christopher sent one guard to escort her to Gabriella's chambers, before turning to the other three giving them instructions, Rielle could hear their chattering from down the hall.

Rielle knocked slightly on Gabriella's door, hearing a quiet come in Rielle entered, Gabriella stood up from where she was standing, walking over to Rielle hugging her gently. She looked at the guard that strategically had stationed himself behind Rielle, a very alert, stance, not that they weren't always alert, but now it was more than before. "Is Something going on?" Gabriella asked a slight amount of concern in her voice as she searched Rielle's face for answers, but Rielle only nodded, she didn't know much at that point either, Gabriella could tell that, she just knew something was wrong. She followed Rielle just down the hall to her Chambers, it wasn't long before the guards Rielle had asked for arrived positioning themselves as Rielle had asked. Gabriella gave Rielle a concerned look. "I will explain later, I promise. I don't know a lot right now either. Until I do, and even then, we will be staying in my chambers, and if we leave, we are to be escorted at all times, do not leave my side, and I will not leave yours." Gabriella nodded sitting down beside Rielle on the bed. "I'm sure it will all be fine, it will blow over Ri." Gabriella said in attempts to comfort Rielle, Rielle nodded yes, but for some reason she doubted it would just blow over, things didn't usually just blow over.

Sebastian stood up when Rielle's guards moved into the room positioning themselves. He went up to one of the guards. "Prince Sebastian." The guard greeted, Sebastian just nodded slightly in return. "We are here by Order of Lady Rielle. She ordered that all guards on her and her ladies be doubled." He explained somehow knowing Sebastian was going to ask, but Sebastian knew how he just seemed to know, Scotland's men were known for not only being trained well in combat but being trained to analyze people and situations around them so they could anticipate if someone or something was a threat. anticipate their moves, and seem like they could read minds, it was a new method in training guards, something Scotland had mastered quickly, Rielle had ordered the new training just as fast, she knew how to handle her men, Sebastian gave her that.
Sebastian also knew something was seriously wrong, for Rielle to have positioned so many men with Annalise and Jason. He apologized to Annalise saying he would be back before leaving the room.

Sebastian went straight to his Father to find Jason already there kneeled beside his Fathers throne, Sebastian immediately wanted an answer and his Father was surprisingly quick to give it to him. "Your sister has been taken, by an English Prince." His Father stood putting his hand out in a gesture telling Jason to stay where he was, The King had, had Jason well trained, in everything he could have him trained in, and the boy had learned very quickly, some of the training had included getting into well guarded areas, killing well guarded people, basic and advanced combat and self defence, along with basic and advanced training in swordsmanship, how to be so light on his feet he could move quickly without anyone knowing he was there, how to blend, even torture techniques if the time ever came for it. When the King said everything, he meant had him trained in everything you could train an Assassin in. "You are to be wed in two days." Sebastian stiffened noticeably looking at his Father using the only defence he could think of. "What does Mother say about that?" The King moved closer to his son. "It does not matter what your Mother thinks, I am King. and Kings do not answer to their wives, I thought I taught you that?" It was a Question Sebastian knew he wasn't supposed to answer so he nodded in reply keeping his head down.

He instructed for someone to go and Get Rielle, they had to secure the alliance as quickly as possible, and she deserved to at least be informed. Rielle walked into the throne room with Gabriella, two guards in front of them two guards behind them, causing the King to raise his eyebrows as they moved away from the two ladies but not far enough they couldn't defend them. "You work quickly." Rielle's eyes flickered from the King to Jason, and back to the King. "I didn't want to take my Chances, it is better to be safe than sorry." Rielle hated dealing with the King, it was a well known fact to everyone even the King himself, and she had positioned Gabriella in a way that if the King were to outlast the only person he would be able to strike was Rielle herself, and it wouldn't be the first time, she was just a pair of gloves in his drawer for when it got cold; Even though she was a Queen in her own right. She assumed that was what this was, what it was about, it was time to use the Alliance against England.

The King just nodded. "Smart girl, perhaps you aren't as Naive as everyone claims you are, a little girl who doesn't know how to use her power." Rielle knew she wasn't supposed to answer the first part of that sentence but she was going to answer the rest. "I know how to use my power, and I know how to use it well, believe me when I tell you that." It wasn't meant to sound threatening but Rielle had the feeling it came out that way, she added wanting to get off the topic before she did something she would regret. "But I believe there are more important things to do than taunting me." This was the side Rielle rarely let people see, the colder side, the unforgiving side, the side that she had because she was taught to be a Queen, not to show weakness or stand down. "Yes there is another reason." The King paced in front of the both of them. "You are to marry Sebastian in two days, then you are to bring more of your men over, to help in the defence of this Kingdom. Isabelle, has been taken by the English, this can only go down hill," Rielle thought she was going to be sick, not only because she was marrying Sebastian in two days, but because the King was more concerned about having Rielle's men to come and join what she thought was going to be a blood bath instead of getting his daughter back.

Gabriella brushed Rielle's hand gently, seeing she had paled considerably, paled to the point she could have looked dead. "Shouldn't we be focusing on getting Isabelle back? Not the Alliance? I would Bring my men over either way." The King got dangerously close to her and she braced herself. "I know you would, but this is not your home until you are married to my son, and if this is not your home, there is nothing stoping you from having your men pull back." Rielle felt herself grow paler like ice had formed in her veins, she felt her body go ridged and cold. This is not my home. She thought. This will never be my home. Rielle just looked at the King head up. "I would not leave France like that, to fend for themselves." Rielle replied, and it was true she wouldn't, no matter how much she despised them, how much she hated it, she wouldn't do it. "You expect me to Trust you?" The Question hit Rielle as hard as if he had hit her, she had done nothing to lose his trust, but she probably never had it. "You will marry my son." Rielle knew it was a final request, and she knew if she refused it wouldn't be a war between three countries two united and one not, it would be a war of three countries, all against one another. "Very Well. I will marry your son in two days, but you are to start trying to get Isabelle back." it was the only condition she had and to her surprise the King agreed. Rielle glanced at Jason one more time before leaving the room, her men with her in the same form they were when they came in, she returned to her chambers sitting on her bed Gabriella joining her, Rielle had the sickest feeling in her stomach.

The man laughed slightly at Isabelle. "You have to know something of importance. All Royals do, its why they are so valuable." He said, he struck her again this time not as hard, this was his form of getting back at James, the only way he could, to make James feel guiltier than he did, then maybe the stupid young Prince would fail, fail his family, his brothers. He would be ashamed, that what he was trying to get out of all of it, and Isabelle was his key to doing it. "I don't know what your little Prince has to say about you."

Annalise

When Sebastian entered the infirmary, Analise looked up, expecting Gabby or Isabelle. When she saw Sebastian, she her eyes fell and she felt cold again. "Hello your majesty," She whispered, pulling up the sheets covering her thin night gown.

"You couldn't settle with Rielle for a few hours could you? Jason was in here, I know he was. You could have... You could have." Analise spoke weakly, tired. Her last sentence was a statement more than anything. She felt her breathing come labored as she heard Sebastian say she was with child. She shook her head, her breathing shallow as she looked up at him with wide eyes. "I... no, there's no way... we were together like that once..." Analise stated, sitting up and regretting it as dizziness swept over her.

"I had chosen to try and find someone who cared for me the way you two are supposed to care for each other. I'll tell her, and I'll take whatever she wants to do to me because she is my friend. I am hers if you remember, I was a present," Analise muttered, knowing she'd have to tell her friend and trust her.

When Sebastian sat on her bed, she brought her knees up to wrap her arms around them. "I know you don't get along with Rielle, but... Sebastian, I have done nothing with you but gone to your rooms once, danced with you once, and talked to you in situations such as these. You've never really talked to me or spent time with me like you actually cared," Analise stated, not meeting his eyes as she fiddled with the sheet covering her for the most part.

Jason

"I believe you, but when you say you love someone, it usually means you only love them and would only be with them. It's not that I'm jealous of Rielle, but... You two have to be together, we'll ever have a real relationship other than a prince and his mistress... I don't know if I can be just a mistress to you, it already hurts to know you have two children in two girl at the same time." Analise was getting stressed out. She couldn't believe she was pregnant, how could she be? She'd show and then Rielle would know and she could be killed. She couldn't make her child be born a bastard, it would only hurt him as he grew.

Rielle's guards entered a few minutes later causing Analise to look around, confused. "Se-, Your majesty," Analise saw Sebastian leave, sinking back into bed. He hadn't even bothered to say goodbye or try to comfort her about what had happened. She didn't want pity, but she didn't want him to just ignore the fact that she was only seventeen, she had yet to experience the worst of the world until it was all thrust upon her in a matter of weeks.

Jason looked up when Sebastian entered, wanting to duck his head and pretend it wasn't him, but knew he couldn't since Sebastian had already seen him. When the king told Jason to stay where he was, Jason wanted to groan. He would be kneeling for who knew how long, until everyone was done talking probably. Jason felt his hand clench into a fist, the one facing away from Sebastian and the king, as he heard the wedding moving up so close. Two days? That was hardly any time to prepare anything.

Jason knew Sebastian was treading on dangerous ground, he wanted to join him but didn't move. Jason looked up under his eyelashes at Rielle, seeing her guards and feeling somewhat eased. When she looked at him, he wanted to go hide, that sounded nice. Jason felt his hand tighten into a fist again, trying to calm his nerves and anxiety.

Isabelle

When the king got so close to Rielle, Jason felt himself stand without knowing it. The head of the guards on the other side of the kings throne looked at Jason with daggers in his eyes. "Jason, disobey another command and you know what happens," The man hissed rather loudly, alerting the king to Jason's mistake on purpose. The guy hated Jason, but Jason didn't mind since the feeling was mutual.

Jason didn't look at Rielle again as he sank back down on one knee, unable to look at her for fear of reacting again. Jason didn't look up or move when Rielle agreed to marry Sebastian so soon, then left. Jason didn't look up as he heard the king approach. He wondered briefly what Sebastian was doing.

Isabelle shook her head, trying to stand by herself again when she was struck yet again. "I don't know anything you don't already know," She managed again, breathing deeply to stay calm. Isabelle wondered why the guy called James her "little prince". "He's not my little Prince, I just... He just sold me to the English... He's nothing to me anymore," She whispered, feeling sick as the words came out, knowing they were true unfortunately.

"Just let me go, I..." Isabelle whispered, finding she didn't have another argument other than she didn't know what they were talking about. "We're only valuable because we are looked up to by people when they're well, there's a lot more to royals than secrets, otherwise, you would certainly be one too," Isabelle managed, knowing she shouldn't make a jibe at the guy but not being able to help it.

Sebastian

Sebastian groaned softly as Rielle left the room, she had agreed she had actually agreed. Sebastian, watched his Father and watched Jason assuming it was okay for him to leave, with a nod from his Father Jason stood up, but Sebastian wasn't in the mood for talking to anyone and wanted to get out before Jason himself was dismissed, so thats what he did.

He thought about going to see Annalise as he had promised, but he promised he would go back, he didn't say when, and he was sure she didn't want to see him anyways, didn't want to be near him so he was going to oblige. Grabbing a cloak as the sun was setting and it was bound to be cold outside Sebastian left, he needed to get out, get away even if it was for a few hours, clear his mind. Hearing his Sister had been taken by the English had caused a pit to form in his stomach, hearing that he was marrying Rielle in two days, mad him feel worse, but what made him feel the worst in the situation was his father was so concerned about defences that Rielle had to make a condition that he would start negotiating for Isabelle, Rielle had to remind him to try and rescue his own daughter, and to Sebastian that was sickening.

Rielle/Gabriella

Rielle sighed laying back onto her bed listening to Gabriella try to reassure her about multiple things, she always admired Gabriella for her optimism, but sometimes it was so out of place it just made Rielle want to scream. She put her hands on her stomach almost wanting to flinch, and take them off, she wasn't sure why, all she had ever wanted was a family. Rielle sighed propping herself up on an elbow so she could look at Gabriella, debating whether to tell her or not, but shook the thought out of her head quickly, if it came to it she needed her friends to be able to say no and not be lying. Gabriella walked over sitting down on the edge of Rielle's bed, she clutched her hands tightly to stop them from shaking."I still mean it when I say everything will be alright...You and Sebastian are going to be married, and you will rule side by side, just like you always wanted when we were little girls."

The mention of the wedding brought the sick feeling back to Rielle's stomach, when they were little Rielle relished in the idea of marrying Sebastian, a happily every after just like the stories, but thats when she thought she loved him, but she didn't. The person she really cared for she couldn't show any real affection for past friends in public, which was another things that made her feel like she wanted to be sick but she sighed instead."Yes, it seems everything is going to plan." Rielle planned with such a forced smile she was sure that if Sebastian was there he would see through it, but Gabriella seemed to let it pass, or just wasn't paying enough attention to notice. Rielle didn't want to get married, not to Sebastian, she didn't want to have any of Sebastian's children but that was all something she had to keep to herself and pretend wasn't there, she wanted to make herself so small she would disappear, but she had duties, she always had duties or something or someone keeping her tethered to the ground. Rielle wondered if it wasn't for all of the people she had to look after, if she would be selfish enough to just disappear."Two days still seems a little bit fast." Rielle stated, because it was fast, the King was in a bit of a panic, desperate.

Though Rielle herself felt backed into a corner and very helpless, she knew what she was doing, she knew what she had to do, and what she might have to do in the future, there was no reason for her to feel helpless, she wasn't not in that sense she just felt helpless. That feeling of wanting to disappear, that feeling of just wanting to scream was overwhelming her, and wanted to cry, but she just couldn't bring herself to it, because she knew if she started, she wouldn't stop, Rielle knew she wouldn't stop crying, she would probably cry until her stomach hurt, cry until she just couldn't cry anymore, so she was determined not to, she wouldn't, not now. not when other needed her to be strong.

"Your right I'm not." The man replied circling around Isabelle. "I don't know the first thing about being a Royal, I just know how to take orders and bow my head like a slave." It was clear he was angry, but was he angry with James or just every royal out there? James definitely got on his nerves but he even felt and anger towards Isabelle, for no real reason, there really was no reason, she hadn't done anything but be in the wrong place at the wrong time. "All Royals are the same, stuck up, making decisions for people because they assume they can't make their own." He stopped in front of Isabelle, who was she close to that she could have valuable information about, other than her brother, who in that court. An evil smile more like a smirk appeared on the mans face. "Rielle." He said as if her name was a sort of weapon and it could have very well been. "As far as I know you two are close enough to be sisters. You claim to know nothing valuable, and maybe that is true, but Rielle, you must know something about her." It wasn't a question, a demand, he did want something out of her, but he also wanted James to suffer, and maybe even Isabelle to suffer as well.

Jason

Jason stood up with a nod from the king, wanting to grumble. Jason silently tried to communicate with Sebastian to not leave him, but groaned inwardly when he did. Jason stood at the throne, his hands behind his back as he waited to be dismissed. He wanted to go sleep. He always wanted to sleep, his bed was the safest place in the world to him, an easy place to go. It was even better when it was summer and he didn't have to pile on the blankets to stay warm, though he still did it for the sake of the feeling of the blankets.

He could hear the footsteps of the head of guards as he approached. "If you ever lose your temper again, I will personally take care of you," He whispered in Jason's ear. Jason just nodded his understanding, hiding his fists behind his back. He was pretty mad, and he rarely got mad, like this anyway. Jason briefly thought of what might happen to him if the man found out about him and Rielle seeing each other, and the idea that the baby in her stomach wasn't Sebastian's child. The thought just caused Jason to smile slightly, he still couldn't believe it. He was worried for her, but at the same time, amazed and rather excited at the same time. Sure he had seen and helped with babies before, but he had never had one...

Jason looked to the king, wanting to know what he planned to do for Isabelle. Would he be sent to retrieve her? He wasn't sure if he could if James had really been so deceptive after the past few years. Could he have hidden his skills in fighting? It wouldn't surprise Jason too much, he was simply just an incredible act. What had he done to hide his accent, his culture, his taste, preference, and old habits he had in his previous type of life.

Annalise

Analise sat in her bed, trying to sleep but finding she couldn't. She wanted to see someone who would want to talk to her. She wanted to see Rielle, Isabelle, Jason, or Gabby. She wasn't entirely keen on seeing Sebastian since he had kind of left her without warning. She wondered what she would do about having a child. Who could she have take care of the baby? Would the baby be killed should the father be announced? The thought terrified her. She didn't want to not have the child, but she didn't want to see it killed after it was born if that would happen.

Isabelle didn't twist her head to follow his progress, but his shadow as he walked around her. "That's not how everyone is," She argued, not understanding why he was so angry. She had just met the man a few days ago. "We don't all have power or a say in things," She muttered under her breath. She was a figurehead, her brother and father? They weren't. They did things. Perhaps if she wasn't seen as a child and nothing more than an incompetent princess, she would be of much more help.

She was always in the Paris market when she could be, all the children knew her, though not as her. They only knew that the blonde girl was rather wealthy, or had quick fingers. She had taught them how to write their name when they were interested, a lot of children not knowing how to even write the most simple words. She loved teaching them though would have to flee them when she caught sight of guards as they would recognize her since they were sent out to retrieve her from town.

Isabelle saw a smile come across the man's face and found herself worried about what he would ask. When he said Rielle's name, Isabelle frowned. "What of her?" She asked as she studied the man. Isabelle met the man's eyes as she repeated what she had said since the men had entered. "I don't know anything useful," She stated in an even, level voice. She swore she would not reveal anything that would hurt Rielle or her brother, even if she was still mad at him.

Isabelle
Image

It wasn't a huge secret Isabelle and Sebastian were not in love with each other, at least in the castle, but there was a lot more to their lives. She had heard through the walls and from watching her friends about their relationships for the most part. Any hidden relationship was not hidden in Isabelle's mind. She knew of Analise and Sebastian, and worse yet, Jason and Rielle. She didn't know if the information could hurt the queen, but she certainly didn't want to risk it. What if they could drive a deeper wedge in? They could even claim to know Jason was forcing her to be in a relationship with her, which he would never do, but how would Isabelle's father know that since Jason was often looked at as an afterthought when Isabelle thought about it.

Isabelle stopped pulling against the men holding her. She waited, making eye contact with the man speaking. "Just because you're called a royal doesn't mean anything at all. It just means you're at least a figurehead and do nothing more than serve as an image," Isabelle stated, choosing then to move. She stomped her foot on one of the holder's feet. He called out, letting go. Isabelle turned to knee the other man where James had once showed her, right below the ribs.

She took off, trying to run around the man who had been speaking. She didn't think she would get too far, but she could at least try to find James. She didn't think he would do much for her, but he did seem to at least not want her to be killed or something. Maybe James would help her keep the other men away. She emerged from the tent, looking around and trying to orient herself. She saw fires placed in front of groups of tents but didn't see James anywhere, not aware he was at least two groups away. She froze for a moment, looking around as she felt like all the men outside looked at her. She would have thought it comical if she wasn't being caught. She saw them stand and moved to take off again, not knowing how she could get away from the closing circle of soldiers.

She heard one soldier snicker, then say something quietly to someone else. Isabelle didn't know who it was though the fellow had directed it at the man who had been interrogating Isabelle. "The prince is out and will be for a few more hours, we gave him you know what. He'll need to learn how to drink if he hopes of not appearing normal and being treated normal in life," The fellow stated causing Isabelle to look at him with confusion. Was one of the English princes there? Which one of the three? She took off, trying to run around the man who had been speaking. She didn't think she would get too far, but she could at least try to find James. She didn't think he would do much for her, but he did seem to at least not want her to be killed or something. "James," Isabelle shouted, looking at the circle around her, hoping he might come to help her.

The King groaned in his seat, he glanced at Jason once trying to figure if he had another task for the boy, he couldn't think of one right on the spot, but he didn't dismiss Jason, just incase, though he signalled for the head of the guard to come over. "I want a letter written to the English King, inquiring about Isabelle." He never referred to Isabelle as his daughter, maybe when she was young, three or four he did. "It isn't to be demanding, Make sure the words are chosen carefully, and make a statement saying we already know she is gone and has been taken by James, it will avoid time wasting by him denying it." He waved his hand in a dismissive manner, before looking at Jason again. "You are free to go."

Rielle

Rielle sat up hearing a knock at her door, she also heard one of the guards in her room pull his sword, she just gestured with her hand for him to put it away, if the person was dangerous, the guards outside would have done something. "Come in." Rielle looked surprised when Elizabeth walked into her room, the Queen rarely came near here unless she had to. "I wasn't expecting you." Rielle said softly in a non offensive way. "No one ever does my dear." Elizabeth replied with a small smile. "Now." She said signalling for another person to come in, Rielle held her breath seeing the wedding dress. "We don't have much time, as my Husband doesn't think things through, we need to get the final fittings for your dress." Rielle nodded slightly glancing over her shoulder at Gabriella who just shrugged and gave her a sympathetic smile. "Gabby, can you please go and spend time with Annalise? I want her to have someone for company." Rielle asked giving Gabriella her own escape since she knew her friend hated sitting and watching dress fitting. Gabriella nodded standing up heading for the door. "Go with her." Rielle said to the two guards standing just inside the door and they nodded following Gabriella out.

Rielle stood letting the seamstress pull the dress tight, fixing things here and there, though Elizabeth was awfully quiet making Rielle uneasy. It seemed like forever before she spoke. "Your being very cautious." Rielle assumed that she was inferring to the guards, Rielle usually had her men doing other things not guarding, but Jason had told her to, so she did. "I'm not taking any chances." Elizabeth nodded slightly looking Rielle in the eyes. "Francis thinks your not very wise, that you don't know what your doing." Elizabeth started. "He is to thick skulled. You are smart, the dangerous kind of smart, seemingly predictable but very unpredictable. Just like your mother. Francis said the same thing about her." Rielle tensed at the mention of her mother, she didn't often think of her mother at it usually felt like a stab to the heart. "Why are we talking about my mother?" Rielle asked the question softly as if she were about to cry, she felt like she was about to. "Your parents were killed because they were a threat, a large one, i'm assuming you know who to." Rielle nodded knowing she was talking about England. "Your Mother she wasn't careful, and it got her killed, your father killed, and almost you killed." Rielle looked Elizabeth right in the eye. "You speak like you know her." Elizabeth stood going over to Rielle, brushing some of Rielle's hair away, Rielle couldn't remember a time Elizabeth was this kind to her. "We were good friends. I don't want you making the same mistakes." Rielle didn't respond, she was told by people she was a lot like her mother, but she had never really taken any thought to it, just thanked the person and then pretended she hadn't heard it.

Gabriella

Gabriella walked into the infirmary smiling when she Annalise, she walked over quickly sitting on the bed giving her friend a gentle hug, she wanted to hold Annalise tightly but didn't know if she was sore. "I am so happy you are alright." Gabriella said softly. "I was worried sick, Rielle was worried sick...Even Sebastian was worried sick, he had all of the guards running around like chickens with their heads cut off." Gabriella laughed a little, she searched the room for Jason, but he wasn't there which she found rather odd but wasn't to concerned about it, she was more concerned about cheering Annalise up, Gabriella knew she probably hated being stuck in a bed even if it was for her own good, while Rielle was insistent on dealing with everything that was going on alone, like usual. Gabriella smiled gently, they were all so stubborn, each and everyone of them.

Gabriella sat with Annalise for a while the room was lit but the candles as it had grown dark, though she still asked for the guards to bring some books for them. "We might as well do something." Gabriella smiled, she had become a custom to reading in the low light of the flickering candles as she did it on a regular basis when she couldn't sleep, a bad habit she had picked up from Rielle who had done it since she could read. She wasn't planning on leaving Annalise anytime soon, after thinking she might never see her again, she didn't really want to leave.

"What are you idiots waiting for?" The man snapped. "Go and get her, she could get away." He shoed the men off, and they began their search, Isabelle couldn't have gotten far, but it seemed she had disappeared in the darkness making it very hard for them to find her. "Don't stop searching until you find her. Look everywhere" They all said to each other, they had to find her, it wasn't optional.

Jason

Jason stood by the throne, wanting to tap his fingers in his waiting but restraining himself. Jason heard the king as he commanded for a letter. Jason watched the king, amazed he wasn't scared. He didn't seem to be in any rush to get his own daughter back. Jason didn't show his thoughts as the head of guards was dismissed. He walked quickly but not obviously so, towards the doors he was allowed to enter and exit without constantly bowing on the way out, hating the other form of exit since he thought it was so degrading. He wondered what the king was trying to do with him briefly but pushed the thought away, wanting to ignore it.

The king finally gave him permission to go making Jason fill with relief. "Thank you sir," He stated as he gave a bow and left. He lost his formality as he walked to the infirmary. Finding a guard and smiling at the distress he was in because the girls wanted books. He moved to Analise's chambers, going to her bookshelves and grabbing all the titles he knew Rielle loved and hoped the other girls did too. They were all very close, it was quite likely that was the answer.

Annalise
Image

Analise smiled when she saw Gabby, sitting up. "Thank you for your concern. I'm sorry they took you too," Analise stated with a small smile. Sebastian had been trying to get her back? Yet he hadn't sat with her when she was sick, or at least checked up on her. Analise wanted to believe he was trying to make their relationship work, make it more than just mistress and the prince. It was so unfortunate that she would appear that way to anyone who looked at her and knew the truth, it would be hurtful too.

When the books arrived, it was Jason bringing them. He had grabbed all of the girls' favorite books on his way upon being told they asked for them by a panicked guard who was planning on getting them books on war, not knowing what they'd like. He had a smile on his face as he set them down on Analise's bedside table, setting down her pencils and a piece of paper as well in case she found she had a feeling to draw. Jason had seen some of Analise's drawings and thought she was great at them, wanting her to pursue it so she'd be happy.

Isabelle

"Hello to all, I come bearing books. Thought I should take a look at both of your wrists since they were rubbed rather raw," Jason stated, coming forward with some salve to put on their wrists. Analise let out a cool breath when she felt it ease the burning feeling and thanked Jason. Jason turned to offer some to Gabby. "Would you like some too?" He asked, offering the salve to her. It was in a metal box, a few inches large, and had a clear color to it, used to soothe burns from anything as a wildfire or rope, which was the two girls in front of him's cases.

When the men inside the tent had recovered enough to chase after Isabelle, they left the tent to find her standing in a circle no wider than ten feet, surrounded by soldiers. They smiled, nodding for their boss to come out. "Didn't get too far did she?" He asked as she moved forward to grab her. When she backed away, one of the men in the surrounding circle caught her. "James, James please," She called loudly, wanting his help even if she felt abandoned by him.

Rielle

By the time they had finished Rielle's body ached, and all she wanted to do was sleep, Gabriella hadn't yet returned so she assumed that she was going to stay with Annalise, something Rielle didn't mind, she felt better that they were together and safe, she just wanted them to be safe, to be kept safe, it seemed like a tall order now, but it was something she was going to aim for. Rielle knew she would never live her life in peace, in complete safety, that her future family, which was seemingly being thrown at her so quickly, would never be at peace, never be safe, and never be happy, but it was something she was going to have to live with, like most things.

Pulling the covers back on her bed Rielle looked around the room, making sure the guards were still where they were supposed to be before climbing into her bed, sleep was a very very welcome thing, and escape from the reality she had to endure.

The dream was a memory, a very distant one Rielle thought would have faded. It was the day her parents were leaving France to return back to Scotland, Rielle was only young but understood it was what had to be done and had established a safe house in the French court, her mother had taken her for a walk in the gardens, holding her hand tightly as if she were afraid to let go, and she had been, maybe she should have been more persistent. Rielle smiled when her mother looked at her, but her mothers face seemed to be grave and full of sorrow, suddenly she kneeled down in front of Rielle so that she was just about her height. "I love you, I always have, always will, no matter what happens." Rielle nodded slightly smiling again. "I know Mamma." she replied wrapping her arms around her Mothers neck. They walked through the Gardens to the main path where her Father was standing, he kneeled down gesturing for Rielle to run to him and she did, laughing when he picked her up spinning her around. Then Her mother took her again, holding her close. "Be Brave Little one." It was the last thing she had said to Rielle, before handing her to the nanny, and with that Rielle was thrust out of the dream.

Rielle looked at the Guard who had clearly been the one to shake her, she rubbed her eyes with her hands noticing her face was wet, she had been crying. "Apologies Your Grace. You were crying, and panicked." Rielle nodded slightly wiping her eyes, of course she was crying, she thanked the guard for waking her and he returned to where he was supposed to be standing, but Rielle knew she wouldn't sleep anymore that night, not with the fear of anymore dreams of her mother returning. Slipping out of bed she let a small hand held candle and opened her door, a guard following her, she was going to the one place she knew she would feel safe. Quietly she slipped into the infirmary, she didn't want to wake Gabriella or Annalise who looked to be sleeping, a book resting on Gabriella's stomach causing Rielle to smile, but her face was still wet with fresh tears, and she found it hard to stop her nose from running. She moved to Jason's room which was at the back of the infirmary, she probably could have got there without the light of the candle she knew the infirmary well now even in the dark, the door was open slightly which wasn't odd, it usually was, but she was unsure if Jason was awake or not, she really didn't want to wake him if he was asleep.

Rielle looked around the room, which seemed to be slowly filling with guards as the ones in her rooms were leaving their posts to escort her or Gabriella around, she had instructed the guard that escorted her just to return to her rooms, as the infirmary was clearly well guarded, she heard a shuffle inside Jason's room and assumed he was awake, she pushed the door open blowing the candle out before slipping in, the room was small, but wasn't to small, it was a comfortable size, she sighed knowing he would want an explanation, she visited him, but not usually in the dead of night, she could see he was on his bed as well, but she didn't know if he was asleep or awake, and couldn't tell in the dark, but decided to speak anyways. "I couldn't sleep." Rielle whispered, she didn't want to wake her ladies but she also knew if she whispered it wouldn't be as easy to tell she had been crying, that she was crying, but it wasn't just about the dream now, the dream had started it, now she was crying about everything, she was crying because she was stressed, because she was worried, she was crying because of all of the pain she had kept cooped up inside herself, crying because she was scared, crying because she didn't want to face the future, crying for lived she could decide to save or take, lives she had taken, and crying because she couldn't not in value her life anymore at that point, crying, because she felt like a problem, because she was one. It was true she couldn't sleep, she wouldn't sleep, though she felt like she could sleep for a million years. What a human contradiction she was becoming.

Rielle remembered what Jason had said to her. I can't help you unless you tell me whats wrong. The words made her stomach churn but made her relax at the same time. "I can't sleep, but..." She hesitated for a moment, she was speaking as soft as she could not. "I want to, I want to sleep...I want to sleep forever." Rielle shifted she felt like she couldn't breathe, she never thought she would ever say those words, but something had just snapped inside of her, and the thought of having to go out and smile like everything in the world was great made her tired, made her want to sleep, sleep it away. It seemed so wrong, but she knew she had to do it.

ImageImage
Gabriella

Gabriella smiled at Jason when he brought the books in and thanked him grabbing one. She looked at her wrists when he offered her the slave, she had forgotten that her wrists had been burned, or she had suppressed it, like it hadn't happened, and with realizing they were still there the pain of them returned as well, the burning, constant burning. "Yes, please." Gabriella smiled, this time a little more faint, flinching a little at the touch but relaxed shortly after.

Gabriella opened the book, it was one of her favourite's, a happy story for hard times. Rielle had told Gabriella when she handed her, her own copy, it was on of Rielle's favourites as well, and was her gift to Gabriella before she went into convent, Gabriella had constantly read it after that, and these were sure hard times. Gabriella laughed with Annalise which was a nice feeling, it wasn't often she truly laughed anymore, did any of them truly laugh anymore? it seemed they were all so sad, just faking their happiness like they were taught to do, pain, and sadness, showed weakness, and they couldn't be weak, no one could ever be weak, it got them destroyed in the world they were living in, and in the world they grew up in, they had been taught from a young age, that emotions were weakness, loving people was weakness, pain was weakness, that they were not to show weakness, to be brave, no matter what. Though it was impossible not to be scared all the time, you just couldn't show it.

Gabriella started to grow weary half way through the book but kept reading, she fell asleep shortly after the book resting on her stomach, rising and falling with Gabriella's even, slow breaths.

"Shut her up." Another snapped moving to help the man, he put his hand over her mouth to stop her from calling out anymore, it was getting on his nerves, he really just wanted to hit her out, teach her a lesson, but there would be consequences for that he knew it, there always seemed to be consequences when it came to this girl and he hadn't quite figure out why, but it made him want to kill her, just kill her be done with it, teach France a lesson, teach everyone a lesson.

Jason had gone to bed late. He had crawled into bed, pulling the thin blankets over his head and tried to sleep right away, failing miserably. It took him an hour or so before he fell asleep. When he heard someone enter his room, he made to grab a hidden knife under his pillow until he heard a sigh and recognized it. He was thankful he hadn't just thrown the knife without looking, or listening really. He smiled slightly at her explanation, sitting up and rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He had on his trousers and his shirt but nothing more, his boots sitting by the door of his room.

"Come here," Jason whispered as he opened his arms for her. When Jason heard Rielle's request, he froze. "You... No." Jason refused to let Rielle have the opportunity. "Rielle, I know how your life isn't fair, believe me, but... There's too many people who need you. Isabelle is being held a prisoner, your ladies need your protection, and you have a child who needs you to give it life," He whispered, hugging her to him as he ran his hand through her hair, his other hand running up and down her back gently.

Isabelle

"I won't give you anything to make you sleep, it's dangerous, but I will stay with you if you think it will help," He offered, speaking softly. He was scared Rielle would do something, but he wasn't sure what he could do in return. He couldn't possibly allow her to sleep forever, but he didn't want to seem like he was controlling, he was anything but really. He wondered if he should tell Sebastian, perhaps the prince would want to try and work things out with Rielle in order to keep her from doing anything rash. "I swear, you just need to visit Scotland, see it once again and the people who love you and you'll be filled with a want to help and protect them," Jason whispered against Rielle's ear, hoping to find a way to cheer her up.

Isabelle called against the man's hand, not letting up as she continued to struggle. She pulled and heard the surrounding men laugh at her futile attempts. She pulled, then felt one man grab her hair causing her to call out. The men who she had hit and gotten away from inside the tent looked at her with contempt. One started forward, talking to the man in charge. "I'm sure we can get her to speak if we used a knife or two. France doesn't have to know, England probably won't give her back so much as promise to treat her well. We do her back, dresses cover that up, anything that gets covered up can work," He states, drawing a knife and tossing it to the leader. Isabelle eyed the knife with more anger than fear in her from for whatever reason.

Rielle

Rielle wished she could take Jason's suggestion, but she knew the King wouldn't let her leave, that was only something she could do when she was out of his grasp, when she was Queen of France, when he was long dead. He claimed she was naive with her power, but her power was limited in French court, and he used it to his advantage, knew she wouldn't step out of line, and it was a rare event when she did, Rielle tried to avoid conflict, though sometimes managed to get herself stuck in it. She took a breath calming herself down letting Jason hold her. She stayed with him, but even with the comfort Jason's presence had brought, sleep still escaped her.

Rielle moved about the infirmary just as the sun was starting to rise, its rays coming through the few windows piercing the dark, her crying had ceased, though it looked like the events of the night had never happened, though she had a pounding head ache to remind her she had very little sleep, and the dread of the day coming was overwhelming, she was sure it would be a day of showing off how "In love" She was with Sebastian, though it was no secret she wasn't, at least not within the castle walls.

Rielle managed to leave the infirmary get to her room get ready for the day and return without anyone seeing her in the halls, by the time she got back the sun was up but the castle was still quiet, only a few courtiers greeted her as she moved back through the seemingly endless hallways, she was surprised to have been Greeted by an English courtier one she recognized, a usual at French court, though at the same time she was surprised Francis had let them stay, though she shouldn't have been, he seemed he couldn't care less if they got Isabelle back, and his feeble attempt or the start of what Rielle knew as a feeble attempt was enough to make her angry.

Rielle smiled slightly hearing someone enter the infirmary she turned thinking it was a servant with the tea she had asked for, but it was Sebastian standing with what looked like two English Diplomats, they couldn't have been here to negotiate Isabelle, they wouldn't have got to French court that quickly, she almost flinched when Sebastian came up beside her wrapping an arm around her setting his hand on her waist gently kissing her cheek, she forced a smile, looking at the diplomats. "Rielle Marie Queen of Scotland." Sebastian said introducing her. "Who also happens to be, my beautiful Fiance." He added making the two men smile but making Rielle stiffen, but she stiffened more when one of the mens eyes drifted to her two sleeping ladies.

"Its wonderful to meet you." Rielle said rather quickly getting the mans eyes to return to hers, she wanted to look back over at Jason who had been sitting behind her, but knew she couldn't. "The pleasure is all ours Your Grace." The first man said moving forward taking her hand, the english accent in his voice was thick. "We have heard so much about you." The man looked back at her ladies. "I was sorry to hear about your ladies, I trust they are recovering well." Rielle's eyes narrowed slightly as she looked at the man, wondering if he knew he had hit a nerve, quite a big one. "As Well as can be expected." Rielle started. "They were kidnapped, and held against their will, I don't suppose you would be recovering well if that happened to you." It was snappier then she had intended it to be and Sebastian's grip tightened on Rielle's side to the point where it hurt, a warning from Sebastian telling her to hold her tongue. "I did not mean to upset you." The man said but Rielle could tell it was not genuine, she knew for a fact he was trying to upset her, trying to get her to snap, but she didn't really snap, if she had she would have been yelling at him, but she reacted as if it were a touchy subject which it was. "We have lots of the Castle left to see." Sebastian looked at the men then at Rielle. "I will see you later." Sebastian's voice was softer when he said that more seductive, which was followed by a kiss on the neck just below her ear not on the cheek which made Rielle all the more uncomfortable, which also told her it was all an act something Sebastian was told to do, convince the English they were in love, not that it would do anything. She relaxed slightly when Sebastian had left the room, letting out a long sigh. "That was very odd of Sebastian." Gabriella said with a small smile rubbing her eyes again, Rielle just forced a smile, she didn't know Gabriella had been awake.

Sebastian

Sebastian groaned as his Father left his room, English Diplomats were the last things he wanted to deal with, his Mother had come a little earlier telling him it was a day of showing off his affection to Rielle, affection that wasn't there, and then his Father saying he had to deal with the English Diplomats, why did he have to? He would have thought his Father would have wanted to make sure everything went perfectly, but he did as he was told going to greet them.

They were touring the castle, and it occurred to Sebastian Rielle would be in the Infirmary, or he assumed she would be, so he took the Diplomats to do some showing of affection down there, though Rielle seemed very unhappy about the fact he was even touching her let alone the fact that he had kissed her cheek.

When Rielle snapped at the man Sebastian tightened his grip on her side, "Rielle..." he growled lowly so only she could hear him, but it didn't occur to him until after he had done it that her stomach was more sensitive and that it probably hurt. When he kissed Rielle's neck it was like the whole room tensed, Rielle tensed and held her breath, and before Sebastian turned from Rielle he seemed to look at Jason who was Behind Rielle though he didn't know why he did it, then he turned and continued with the Diplomats, leading them out of the Infirmary.

It would be a long day, of babysitting the English brats his father didn't want to deal with

The man took the knife drawing it across Isabelle's arm, it seemed instantaneous as blood started running down her arm which made him smile, so he cut her other arm as well, a little bit deeper, he hoped it would scar, hoped she would always have a reminder of what had happened to her. "So, I can keep using the knife, which I am enjoying Dearly Princess, or, you can start speaking." He looked at her a very evil look in his eye. "Are you sure you don't know anything?"

Jason
Image

Jason had slept rather soundly through the night with Rielle in his arms. He was so tired from the day, he had no difficulty sleeping. He was so tired, he didn't even feel Rielle leave. When he woke up to find she wasn't there, he sat up in fear, looking around. Where had she gone? Jason stood, running to the doorway, his bare feet cold on the stones though he ignored it. He wanted to know where Rielle had gone. She couldn't have been taken could she? Was he being paranoid? He couldn't tell.

He walked out, or ran out really. He left to find Analise awake. "She left," Analise whispered because of the still sleeping Gabby. She seemed to have been awake for a while, the paper Jason had brought her had a sketch on it where it sat beside her on the table. Jason smiled at her, giving her a nod of thanks. He wondered if Analise knew of anything about the relationship. She seemed better, color had returned and she seemed alert, back to normal almost. Jason was thankful too, if she had been hurt badly, others would be hurt for her, not wanting to see her pain.

Jason didn't comment as he observed Sebastian's face on it. Jason nodded, going to sit behind his desk, ignoring the papers as he rested his head on the wood, sleeping some more in his exhaustion. When Rielle entered again, Jason didn't wake. When the English diplomats and Sebastian entered, Jason popped up, alert and reaching for a hidden compartment on his desk. Why was he reaching for every hidden knife he had? He had done it twice in the past twelve hours and he hated the paranoia he felt slowly overcoming him. It really did make his life uncomfortable and stressful.

Annalise
Image

Why was he so jumpy? It was the sleepiness... At least that's what he told himself.

Jason watched the display, relaxing as he watched to make it look less stressful to himself. Jason saw Analise out of the corner of his eye, watch the exchange for a moment before looking away, taking the drawing of Sebastian back up and began to add more details, not looking at the man. She drew his features delicately, wanting to rip the paper out though Jason didn't know this. Analise really wanted to throw the paper at Sebastian, or out the window, she wanted to forget him at the moment, seeing him seem to push her away more and more. She hated the jealous feeling she felt overcoming her but couldn't help it.

The tension in the air was not difficult to feel. Jason smiled slightly, laughing to himself at how awkward their lives could get. Jason watched, growing anxious as he saw Rielle snap slightly. He himself would have too if it had been his best friends that were kidnapped, Rielle and Sebastian probably. Jason would do anything for them, within reason, and knowing they were in danger, he would snap at anyone who made a jab at him about them.

Isabelle
Image

Jason watched the kiss between Sebastian and Rielle with his heart racing. When Sebastian glanced at Jason, Jason felt his heart skip. Did Sebastian know there was more between Rielle and Jason? Jason gave a small, fake smile that Sebastian could probably see through though that was the only thing Jason could manage.

Isabelle called out when she felt the knife on her arms, biting her lip to keep from screaming. Isabelle pulled, trying to get herself away. "You b@st@rd," Isabelle hissed between her teeth as she struggled. "I don't know anything that England can use against France or Scotland," Isabelle managed, not wanting the knife again on her skin.

She already hated it had cut her shirt. She felt one of the fellows behind her lifting the back of her shirt, resting the fabric around her neck in a bunch as he pulled out another knife and trailed it lightly down her back, threatening her more. "Rielle and Sebastian are seeing others," Isabelle let out, hating herself for it. She clamped her lips together, refusing to say who as she felt a prod in her back for more.

Rielle/Gabriella

Rielle looked at Jason, he was jumpy, but she didn't say anything just gave him her usual smile before moving to go sit with her friends, Gabriella hugged her good morning making Rielle's smile more genuine, they had always been more like sisters than friends. "Did you sleep well?" She asked softly herself still being rather weary. Rielle didn't want to lie to Gabriella but didn't want her to worry either, so she just nodded."Yes, I did." Was the only response Rielle could come up with at that time, she looked at Annalise."Are you feeling any better?" It was genuine concern, Rielle would feel better if they were all together at all times, that way the chances of anything happening to any of them would be so much lower.

Seeing the book on Gabriella's lap she smiled picking it up getting a smile from Gabriella in return, Rielle hadn't read it in such a long time, she didn't really have time to read very much anyways something she used to enjoy so much was something she just didn't have time.

Like the day before the day seemed to just drone on, slowly, painfully slowly but Rielle found it was easier to bear when she was with her friends, she glanced over at Jason and every once and a while before returning to the conversation at hand, they weren't really talking about anything in particular, just about how being in court was a tedious task, and they laughed at some of the arguments that went on."I heard one of the older Lords the other day, speaking about how the King had a large line of assassins." Rielle just shook her head laughing a little bit. "Of course he has Assassins Gabby, he wouldn't want to get his hands dirty. Gabriella just shook her head."No, he was saying that he trains children, boys mostly. That there is lots of them, all through out the castle in all different ranks. Its scary to think a man like that has something like that." Rielle just shook her head giving Gabby a reassuring smile. "Gabby, theres nothing to worry about, he is smart. He wouldn't be able to guarantee that one of those people wouldn't give it away, and thats a risk he wouldn't take." Gabby just shrugged but seemed more skeptical than Rielle, maybe because everyone was careless at some point and a man with a need for power like the King had would do something like that."Its just a rumor." Rielle reassured again, she didn't want them worrying about something like that, and didn't want to even consider it either, if it was true, that meant he could kill anyone he wanted at anytime and not get caught. The person would just disappear.

The man raised his eyebrows at what Isabelle had said, that Rielle and Sebastian were seeing others, he didn't doubt that Sebastian would be but he knew of Rielle and had seen her, she didn't seem that careless. Who would she see anyways? who would fit her standards since he assumed she had standards, she wouldn't just risk herself like that for someone who didn't matter. "Who?" He asked roughly, it could hurt the Alliance with Scotland and it could get Scotland out of the situation, it could destroy what France had been working to a strong alliance with more men, it would be the weakness they would need, a very big weakness that they could easily use, but, they wouldn't be able to prove it in any sense, no one would believe it without proof, and Rielle and Sebastian would deny it and there would be nothing more said it would be brushed under the rug, unless they found out who they were seeing.

Jason
Image

Jason sat back in his chair, wanting to sleep now more than ever. What had Sebastian really been doing? Why wasn't the king trying to get Isabelle back? Was the world ending? Why wasn't Jason awake? All these questions caused Jason to feel his eyes loll before he caught on the last one. Had he been drugged? Or was it the paranoia? He didn't even know, or really care anymore.

Analise nodded to Rielle's question, not saying anything before folding the piece of paper in her own favorite book and setting it on the table away from Rielle and Gabby. She couldn't stand to see either seeing the drawing, it could ruin or hurt them more than Analise already felt, she didn't want anyone to go through that. Analise listened to the conversation, listening more about the assassins, always a topic of interest with their mystery and agility.

Annalise
Image

Jason heard the mention of assassins and let his eyes close, his head resting on his arms. He was so tired, yesterday must have really drained him. Jason listened, somewhat not hearing but also hearing at the same time. He recognized that they were talking about him, not specifically, but in general without knowing it. It sucked being a kings assassin, you didn't get to have anything to do without someone else telling you.

Jason remembered his first day of training. He had been beaten when he had refused to try to throw a knife at a target, a criminal who was to die in the following week. Jason remembered the day very clearly yet he didn't smile at the memory. One of his friends had died that day, killed when they hadn't been fast enough to keep up with the other boys, three, that were training to be assassins as well. One was a cook, another an everyday guard, and the third was a lord in the court who appeared to be from a country far away that didn't really exist.

Isabelle
Image

Jason wondered briefly if he would be the one to give away the kings line. He had grown rather close already and knew at least one person who shouldn't had found out, though they couldn't tell anybody since someone else had tracked him down and taken care of him much to Jason's distress. Jason sat up, rubbing his eyes, trying to clear away the tired feel he had. Jason had never helped make a person disappear but he had helped get them out of France, to England and Spain at one point to keep them from getting taken care of for good.

"An old story told... told by the king to his lords... it keeps them from... from doing anything stupid," Jason commented, his tone drowsy and slurred. He found himself standing, going to the bed beside Analise's and climbing in, not bothering to take his shoes off as he laid his head down, hoping sleep would take him soon so he wouldn't be so drowsy at the moment.

James

Isabelle bit her lip as she tried to keep from saying anything more with the knife trailing down her back again. She shook her head, looking at the ground as she tried to breath through the pain. She winced as the knife finally pierced her skin, feeling it slowly trail down her back. It took about five minutes before Isabelle couldn't take anymore, resulting with her seeing spots in her vision. She heard a voice in her ear, the fellow who was closest to the leader. "You better talk princess, fingers don't grow back," He whispered. Isabelle shook and nodded ever so slightly, having a hard time getting air in.

"Jas... Jason... And Ana... Analise," Isabelle managed, her breath shaking as she revealed her friends' names, hating she had to when she felt the man grab her fingers, holding the blade to them. "Rielle with Jason, Sebastian with Rielle's, Rielle's lady Anal, Analise," Isabelle managed, struggling to get the words out, as she felt the knife dig slightly in as he asked for more. Isabelle felt the guard holding her let her go, landing on her stomach with her hands barely catching herself. She gasped, shaking and soaked in sweat and blood.

"I'll go tell the king if you'd like, sir," One young messenger offered, leaving when he was given a nod, if he was given one.

"What is going on here?" James called, his anger evident in his frame. He was at the edge of the circle, hungrily watching Isabelle on the ground as she shook. "It was declared she wouldn't be touched by anyone. My brother is going to be very angry to hear his promised was scarred by his own men," James called as he walked forward, noticing Isabelle was practically out.

"Who authorized this and why?" He asked the man who seemed to be in charge, picking Isabelle up in his arms and holding her to him as he began to walk towards his tent, standing outside it to wait for a response. He had just woken up from his closest friend's brother shaking him to hear Isabelle was being used, ran to find her, and was now shaking in his anger and fear over her being too hurt.

"Did he not sleep well?" Gabriella asked in a hushed whisper not wanting to wake Jason he did look tired. Rielle looked over her shoulder at Jason a twinge of guilt coursing through her, she shouldn't have woken him up last night, she shrugged slightly."Its been a rough few days for all of us." She stood up unfolding the blanket at the bottom of the bed gently placing it over Jason looking at him for a moment before returning to her spot beside Gabriella on Annalise's bed."I hear the Elizabeth is running around trying to plan the wedding last minute." Gabriella almost wanted to laugh the thought of Elizabeth in a panic because of little time was greatly amusing to her. Rielle just nodded slightly not really wanted to talk about it, Gabriella picked up on that quickly and changed the subject to things they could do when Annalise was up and about again, saying she was hoping that would be soon.

Rielle wanted to know if the King had done anything else to see if he could get Isabelle back, but she doubted it, he didn't really seem like he wanted to do much about it, didn't seem to care which didn't really surprise her, and Rielle couldn't really do much herself about it but try and pursue the King to get Isabelle back safely, or get her back at all. Would he really leave his daughter in England at the hands of their King who was just as cruel as the French one. Daughters were expendable, always were, if Isabelle had been a boy Rielle knew the matter would be different, but she wasn't she was girl, and was useless for much anything than to marry for an alliance, Rielle's parents had left the Throne to her, but, even then people in her family disagreed, her Parents just had a different view they always had.

She listened to Gabriella speak about how her Father was persistent in her marrying a young lord, which made Rielle want to laugh, Gabriella was not one for arranged anythings and she knew Gabriella would make it very difficult for her Father to do much of anything with her love life, as soon as Gabriella left for France she acted like she was free of her family in some ways she was, but Rielle was always admired how she acted like nothing really mattered when she could, that no one could control her.

Rielle had, had that outlook when she was a child, but there was always someone telling her what to do, how to act. She never really got a say in much until she was about fourteen, then she had more control over her own life, even then people still had influence on her, had her chained. "Well, your father can't marry you to anyone unless I say it is alright." Rielle reasured her friend. "And I won't say yes, until I know you love the man." Gabriella smiled at Rielle she was thankful for Rielle, she knew of Queens who were so cruel to their ladies, but Rielle had always been anything but, she had been kind, and protective, always trying to keep them as safe and comfortable as possible.

"I did." The man said stepping up. "Your brother wanted something he could use against France, and I have got that." He looked at Isabelle. "According to your little Princess, Sebastian and Rielle are seeing others. It will not be easy to prove." He shifted very slightly, Isabelle could have even told them that just to get them to stop. He knew there was really know chance of them proving it either, People listen to their Monarch, not other Monarchs, and with no proof they really couldn't do anything about it, he knew James would know that fact as well, and therefore the information was rather invalid, but he thought he would try. In all honesty though, what he wanted to see was the young Prince Angry, and he sure was that.

Analise smiled over at Jason, seeing his exhaustion and finding it rather amusing even if it did make him so out of it. She listened to the conversations, not mentioning much as she thought about recent events and news. She was pregnant. She was! How did Sebastian know? Jason must know. Did he tell Rielle? Was she just hiding her knowledge? Analise didn't know who to believe or who to tell her newest, unintentional secret. She knew she'd have to tell Rielle if she didn't know, and she'd rather tell her than have Jason tell her, but how could she tell her? What was she to do?

Her thoughts drifted to what would happen if it was revealed she was pregnant, with Sebastian's child. She knew it was his since she had never been with anyone else that way before. She shivered, the cold reaching her through her thin gown. She wondered if Jason would appreciate helping her care for the child, perhaps claim to be the father, or a brother of the child. He would certainly help her, wouldn't he? Analise shook her head inwardly, she was panicking so much over something that couldn't be changed anymore, Analise refused to have an abortion, but she didn't know if she could have a child in her position. How was she supposed to be a lady who waits on Rielle when she needs it? She wasn't even supposed to be with anyone romantically without Rielle's permission. She had screwed that rule up pretty badly with Sebastian, Rielle's betrothed.

"Rielle, do you think it would be possible for us to walk around for a bit? Perhaps we can visit the kitchens and sneak some sweets like we did when we were younger," Analise asked, wanting to get out of bed. She smiled in the mischievious way children did when they were planning to steal sweets out from under the nose of the cook. The cook would always give them to the children, making it appear as if the children had stolen them, causing them to be happy and proud with themselves. Analise pulled back the covers, allowing her legs to trail over the side of the bed, quickly pulling the thing gown down to cover her upper legs, the cold of the castle causing her to have goosebumps.

Isabelle

James breathed deeply, his anger evident in everything from his face to his posture. He held Isabelle to him tightly, like she was a toddler who was sleeping. She was smaller than him so it wasn't all that difficult though he was sure it was an odd sight. He saw his best friend's brother standing to the side, studying Isabelle's back with concern. He knew as well as James did they would have to go see James's best friend as soon as they reached the castle and got away from the king, getting Isabelle to the physician the English had. She'd be alright, at least, that was what James was telling himself. He stared at the man in front of him. He had known perfectly well his brother had wanted to get information out of Isabelle, but James had sworn he wouldn't let him. He still felt dizzy from the drinks, not realizing he was still under the impression of the sleeping drug.

James listened, widening his eyes as if the news was new. He looked down at Isabelle, her head resting right under his chin in the crook of his neck. She had told them. He knew it was probably not something she had wanted to do and had made it a last resort, not wanting to feel anymore. She was strong, head strong and very independent, but she was never taught to withstand pain. He hated he hadn't been there to help her, to keep any blood of hers from being spilt. "She needs a physician. Therefore, we ride the rest of the way to London tomorrow without stopping. Am I clear?" James demands, practically shouting the final command before turning around and going into his tent and setting Isabelle down.

James
Image

He gently bandaged Isabelle's back and arm. He then took one of his two travel shirts, slipping it over her head and setting her down on her stomach to sleep. He let her have his sleeping mat, sitting beside her, refusing to sleep when she could be taken again. James heard someone enter and looked up to see his best friend's brother, giving a small smile. "She'll be alright, I promise. West will fix her up right away," Lucas stated simply, as if it was a common thing. James looked at Isabelle, noticing her cheek was bruising. Even if his older brother had ordered this, he wouldn't be happy her face had been marked. He was odd that way. James knew exactly what was going on. He wouldn't be able to help giving Isabelle to his brother, but could help protect her and keep her from being okay.

The next day and late into the night, the small army rode hard. James held Isabelle the entire time, her slipping in and out of sleep, just resting against James when she was awake. When they reached London, James led the way, a cloak covering Isabelle and her blonde hair from the slight drizzle that had begun. James rode carefully, guards around him as they moved. James saw the palace and rode for it, picking up the pace. When they arrived, James held Isabelle, not passing her on to the guards who offered assistance. He slid off, taking her in his arms before moving inside, shielding her from the rain. Inside, he looked to the nearest servant. "Inform my father I am back with the princess and she is being treated in the infirmary," James stated as he moved upstairs to go to just that place.

Upon arriving, he set Isabelle down on a bed that was nice and clean. He saw Lucas's brother, his best friend, William emerge, coming over to look at the princess in surprise. The two friends reunited after years apart, then took to helping the princess, not even hearing the doors open and slam close.

Rielle looked at Annalise she was hesitant about letting her out without Jason saying it was alright, that she was okay, but she could also see that the discomfort was clear. "Of course we can." Rielle smiled, she helped Annalise out of bed. Gabriella seemed to cheer up more as well laughing as they walked through the halls, they had all been to cooped up for to long, they needed to forget, just for a little while. "We aren't as small, how are we supposed to sneak treats away from the kitchen?" Gabriella asked peeking around the corner into the kitchen. "It Almost lunch, all of the servants will leave." Rielle started. "We just need to wait."

Rielle gestured for them to follow, she smiled lightly as they snuck into the kitchen each taking a few sweets and leaving to go sit in the kitchen. "See? Easy." Rielle laughed slightly taking a bite from the little cake she had. She spotted the English Diplomats, and sighed slightly, they were walking by themselves, which she found strange, would Francis really trust the English that much? Rielle didn't trust them at all. She glanced at Annalise. "Better, now that your out of the infirmary?" She asked searching Annalise's face for any signs of discomfort or any signs that she wasn't doing well.

Sebastian

Sebastian pulled the bow string back looking at the target before releasing just missing center, He sighed, he wondered if he should have been with Rielle, keeping their little sherade going, trying to convice England their union was strong, what was the point in lying about it? England would do what they wanted to, whether they believed France had Scotland behind them or not, "Sebby." Sebastian turned around hearing the familiar voice he found himself staring at his half brother. "Isaiah...What are you doing back here?" The younger boy shrugged slightly. "Mother wanted me back, thinking I was in some sort of danger, besides, Boarding school is boring." Sebastian out the bow down, he didn't mind his little brother, other than the fact Isaiah's mother hated him, but she couldn't touch him not as long as Elizabeth was still alive. "You think everything is boring." Isaiah just laughed following after Seabstian when they started walking, hitting his arm when Sebastian tousled his hair. "Sebastian!" He yelled running from him, But Sebastian just laughed chasing after the boy.

"You got what you wanted, how are you going to prove it?" The man turned facing a boy no older than 16 he sighed shifting. "I'm not going to prove it." He replied. "You can not prove something like that against a royal let alone two royals." He sighed. "Rumours will probably start if England decides to try and use it." The boy nodded slightly. "and the Princess?" The man laughed slightly. "James will do something wrong at some point, he will mess up." The man looked at the boy. "In honesty, I will be surprised if she gets home alive,"

Analise gave Rielle a smile as they carried out their childish, yet rewarding act. She wore a small robe a servant had brought her the day before, allowing her to not be scared about being in so little clothing. "I feel much better, thank you. Has there been any word about Isabelle?" Analise asked upon seeing the English diplomats and being reminded of Isabelle's problems. It was so unfortunate that she was in danger while they were in a different country, unable to do anything about it.

She felt much better, really. Having the fresh air available, it was wonderful. Her thoughts briefly flitted back to the infirmary. It wasn't so bad with Jason in there to keep her company, yet he was asleep now, so who would she talk to if she was back there? She had Rielle and Gabby thankfully, a real relief since she was still so uncertain about wanting to see Sebastian... Ever again.

Isabelle didn't stir as William took care of Isabelle better than James could have. James helped, doing what he was told to help his friend in order to keep Isabelle well. "I heard a certain brother was back from a long trip to France," James's youngest older brother said with a smile as he walked over to James. James welcomed the hug, knowing Isabelle was already in the best condition she could be in after the night before. "It's been too long and look what you were able to pick up," He said with joy as he motioned to Isabelle. James hated that she was just a surprise, but went with the act, nodding proudly at the girl he cared so much for.

James

"Not an easy one. Lucian will be excited," James stated, clapping his smiling brother on the shoulder as he referred to their eldest brother. The two looked nothing alike yet were so similar too. Oliver smiled, returning the gesture as he turned to face his brother seriously. "I was told you were back. Father didn't want to come here quite yet, he thought she would be conscious and it would cause her to be scared, but that seems out of the question. Come on, we better hurry so he doesn't get mad," Oliver stated causing James to nod in agreement. The two were loved by their father, but nothing could protect them from his wrath if he grew mad at him. They jogged to the throne room. Even though it was late in the night, they entered.

James caught sight of his adoptive eldest brother Lucian, his father, and his mother sitting in their various thrones. Oliver stayed by James as the two approached the thrones, their own two seats currently unoccupied. James and Oliver both knelt in front of their father for a moment before standing and giving nods, in James's case begrudgingly, to their brother and a smile to their mother. "I have the French Princess in the infirmary. It was ordered she was tortured for information without my consent and the order was carried out by Lucian's men," James stated, his disapproval obvious in his voice. He wondered what side his father would take, it usually depended in his mood since he seemed to like certain sons better on certain days to their misfortune.

Rielle/Gabriella

Rielle shifted slightly shaking her head at Annalise. "The King doesn't seem all to concerned about her." Rielle sighed. "Show's what kind of Father he is." Gabriella seemed to just look away, the situation seemed touchy for everyone, if Isabelle had been a boy, the King would have been up in arms, but she wasn't a boy, she was a girl, and girl were only good for one thing, being married off and having children. While Girls were seen as an item to play with and use at ones will Boy's were virtually untouchable in anyway. "They will get her back. England can't do much anyways." Gabriella looked at Rielle. "They are basically asking for a war." Rielle nodded slightly, that they were, then the rest of the world would chose sides, alliances would finally be used and loyalties tested, though she highly doubted that Francis would go to war with England, if it came to it he would probably just tell the English King to keep Isabelle and do what he pleased with her, if it came to that Rielle felt she would step in, as soon as she was married to Sebastian, her power went up in France, and so did her opinion. "I'm sure it won't come to that."

"Your Grace." A messenger came bowing to Rielle. "The Duke of Sutherland." Rielle looked at the messenger when he spoke her Cousin's title. "Here?" The messenger nodded slightly. "Yes your Grace, Lord Colten is here with Lady Jaelin and their Daughter for your Union to Prince Sebastian." Rielle stood up, Gabriella helped Annalise up, she followed the Messenger to where her cousin was a giant smile Appearing on Rielle's face when she saw him, she walked quickly wrapping her arms around his neck. "Colten, I wasn't expecting you." Colten just seemed to smile stepping back from Rielle taking her hands. "Well, I heard a certain little cousin of mine was getting married earlier than planned." Rielle held her smile though she wanted to frown. "Should I prepare for any other unexpected visitors?" Colten chuckled. "Uncle should be returning." Seeing Rielle's smile fade he added. "He will only be here for a few days, I believe he is bringing his Daughter. My brother will also be expected along with his lovely wife, Along with my sister." Rielle nodded slightly. "And your Mother?" Rielle was going to ask about his Father but remembered he had died when she was ten, she hadn't been aloud to leave the convent to go to the funeral. "Mother isn't well, she won't be able to make the journey, and everyone is already on their way, Arriving in early morning tomorrow. She wishes you her best." Colten looked over at Gabriella and Annalise. "I heard what happened to your ladies, are you two alright?" Colten had known Gabriella since she was a girl playing with Rielle and had known Annalise for as long as she had been Rielle's lady, it had caused quite the uproar in the family that they had been taken."Better." Was all that Gabriella could muster to say, and she was better, so was Annalise, at least she looked better.

Rielle moved to greet Colten's wife who was holding a baby that couldn't be more than three months old. "Is this your Daughter?" Rielle asked looking over her shoulder at Colten who nodded slightly coming over. "Yes. Her name is Sarah." Rielle smiled at the sleeping girl moving the blanket slightly from her face. "May I hold her?" She looked at Jaelin who nodded. "Of course your Grace." She replied slipping Sarah carefully into Rielle's arms. "Please, call me Rielle. You are family, after all." Rielle smiled down at Sarah thinking about how in a few months she would be holding her own little baby, something that seemed to lift the weight of current events off of her heart.

Sebastian

Sebastian walked through the Halls Isaiah trailing behind him as he went to great Rielle's Cousin, he came up seeing Rielle holding a small bundle and recalled that her Cousin had recently had a child, a Daughter. "I heard your Cousin had Arrived." Sebastian smiled coming up beside Rielle putting his hand around her resting his hand on her waist, feeling her tense at his touch but pretended that he didn't. "I don't believe we have ever been acquainted." Sebastian extended his hand to Colten who took it. "Colten, Duke of Sutherland." Sebastian smiled slightly letting go of Colten's hand looking back at Rielle who was fixated on the small child in her arms which brought a more genuine smile to his face.

Isaiah groaned in boredom peeking out from behind Sebastian at Colten and Jaelin, then looking at Rielle, he had never actually met Rielle, maybe once when he was a baby and didn't remember, but he had heard more than enough about her from Sebastian, who seemed hot and cold about her, sometimes saying she was pretty and knew what she was doing and other times saying that he couldn't stand her. One thing was for sure, she was pretty, along with her two Ladies who stood slightly behind her. He looked at the Blonde one, Gabriella, he thought her name was but then shook his head. The Dark haired one who looked more like Rielle was Gabriella which meant the blonde one had to be Annalise. He looked back over at the Duke and his wife, they both looked tired. "I trust you have rooms?" Sebastian asked in a friendly tone which caused Isaiah to roll his eyes. "Yes, we do, we better go get settled." Rielle stepped forward giving Sarah back to Jaelin, smiling when Colten gently kissed her cheek in a farewell before leading his wife down the hall way. Sebastian looked at Rielle who pulled away from him as soon as her Cousin had disappeared out of sight. Sebastian just sighed. "I will see you later." Rielle nodded watching him and Isaiah travel down in the opposite direction of Colten before she turned back to face her Annalise and Gabriella.
