"I just don't see why she has to come here. She's lived her entire life in tim buck two why switch it up now?" Amelia could see Sophronia giving her the side eye from where she sat on her bed listening to other one of Amelia's rants about his older half-sister "interloping" as Amelia had recently become fond of saying on her life. "I thought you came over here so I could help you decide on what to wear for the party?" Sophronia asked in an attempt to steer the conversation in a different direction. "I'm multitasking." Sophoronia snickered from her bed as Amelia for the first time in over twenty minutes went mute just rolling her baby blues as she stared at her final two dress options. The first outfit was black and gold and themed around greed, she had taken out her Alicia + Olivia Avani embroidered tulle top and Justina embroidered tulle skirt. She would accessorize by wearing her Etro cuff, her Chloรฉ pearl ring and her Arme De L'Amour ring. On her feet she would wear her Valentino sandals and carry her Charlotte Olympia Dali Perspex clutch. Given her mood as of late it was unsurprising that her second outfit was red and black and themed around the sin of wrath. Her second choice was far more simple than the first as her outfit just consisted of her Dsquared2 checkered sheer dress and her black Sergio Rossi Stiletto scandals.

Talking about her older half-sister always fucked with Amelia's mood and a party that she would normally be over the moon about going to and excited about she just felt rather blah about. Taking pictures of each outfit that was at the moment draped over the two gold chairs in Sophronia's room by the fireplace she sent the pictures to Aaliyah and asked which outfit she should go with. Sophronia herself wasn't exactly thrilled about Marcel's Seven Deadly Sins party but of course Amelia was dragging her to the party as it was their first chance to make a good first impression on the upperclassmen that "mattered". "I am so not in the mood for this. So, whichever one Allie choices is the one I'll wear." Amelia said turning from her designer clothes and plopping down on the bed next to Sophronia. "Have you decided on what your going to wear?" Sophronia gave a nonchalant shrug, "Not yet, but I'll find something to throw on." Amelia let out an exasperated gasp at Sophronia's words. "You can't just throw something on Soph! You don't just throw on anything and walk out to face the most determinant event of your life!" Sophronia just blankly stared at her best friend in a way that you knew that she was so use to everything that Amelia that she was hardly effected by her friend's dramatics at this point in their relationship. "Lia, you know I--" "Give me ten minutes I'll find you some suitable options." Amelia side sliding off of Sophronia's queen-sized bed and heading to Sophie's closet.

A five hour flight was never a problem for Aaliyah, especially after the trip included seeing her family and being with the ones she loved. However, being with them now, particularly so close to the beginning of the school year was draining and she'd practically high-tailed it on her private jet at around eight in the morning, even going so far as to skip out on breakfast with her mom and siblings. Not that she didn't love them enough, that wasn't it. But they had spent an entire summer together mourning and being all family like, and there was only so much coddling and foolishness Aaliyah could take before she was ready to rip heads off. So, once it was declared that her photo shoot for Teen Vogue had been wrapped up and she had completed the interview followed by a nice dinner, Aaliyah had packed the night before and then was quick and in a hurry to board her flight back to Los Angeles.

When they were about a good ten minutes into landing, Aaliyah had the tropical mimosa she had been sipping on while she had been arranging some minor details for Tristan's party taken and then went into the bedroom area of the private plane to change into her outfit. She had arrived in only sweats and was adamant about not changing until they got close to California. Once there, she put on a NBD Don't Turn Back dress with a Chanel vintage gold chain belt that was interwoven with black leather, and Alaรฏa cut-out boots. She was in the middle of brushing her hair when she felt the plane land, pausing only for a moment to take a seat on the bed, and then went back to fixing up her hair, making sure that two strands of hair framed the sides of her face. Just as she reached for her sanitizer so she could get to her makeup, her text tone for Amelia rang out and Aaliyah leisurely moved so that she could retrieve the device. Naturally, the youngest of the Cargills was preparing ahead of time for her first Beverly Hills High school party, which wasn't a surprise to Aaliyah at all. It made her smirk and she could only imagine what Sophie was going through since if one was searching, that meant the other was being dragged right along with her.

To: Baby Cargill
#2. Party's casual & red fits better. Wat bikini r u wearing?

Once that text was sent out, Aaliyah retreated to the bathroom to fuss over her makeup. She didn't need to do too much today considering she planned on taking a dip in Tristan's pool when she arrived, so she gave herself a light touch up for her eyes followed by a quick application of NARS' pink-mauve lipstick. Mostly ready, Aaliyah spritzed herself with her Jasmin Noir perfume from Bulgari just as the flight attendant rapped on the sliding bedroom door.

"They're preparing your luggage for exiting now and they sent the town car for you, Miss Jauregui," the woman announced and Aaliyah hummed thoughtfully before shrugging. It wasn't too big of a big deal for her to drive today anyway and she usually took drivers for parties just in case she drank more than she needed to. "Thanks. I'll be out in a minute." She replied and waited until the footsteps receded before moving again. After five more minutes, Aaliyah was ready with her Givenchy messenger bag, Rolex Day Date Diamond Dial 18k Yellow Gold watch, and was sliding on her Dior Technologic sunglasses when she slid out of the bedroom. As she descended the stairs and approached the waiting Mercedes-Benz Maybach S-Class, she phoned up her bestie.

"Wassup best friend? And no, I'm not still sleep when my party's only in about four hours," Tristan Elliot drolled into the phone and Aaliyah rolled her eyes. "That's good. I thought I'd have to come through and dump ice water on your lazy ass. Did you get Taylor's party rules?" Her little sister had drawn up the rules the night before and Aaliyah had faxed it over to Tristan before falling asleep. He nodded before remembering she couldn't see him, leaning down to give her her food. Once that was settled, he propped himself up on the island of his kitchen. "Yep. All set, mom. I even have the caterer bringing the food about thirty minutes before the party." Aaliyah smirked as her luggage was loaded and the vehicle started moving. "Whatever. Just know that the bartender and DJ from Boulevard3 will be there by three to set up." Tristan grinned. "You the real MVP, best friend. What color are you wearing?" Aaliyah chuckled, "Wouldn't you like to know? I'm guessing you're wearing blue?" Tristan only replied with, "Wouldn't you like to know?" Aaliyah only laughed. "Whatevs. See you later." She didn't wait for a response and hung up, opting to go back to texting Amelia and her two main followers to see if they wanted to go on a quick shopping trip to the Beverly Center.

To: Baby Cargill
Just got back in Cali. Wat's Sophie wearing? Do I need 2 pick her up something?

Tristan, on the other hand, set to making sure that things he didn't want to be broken were being put away. One of his older friends, a recent graduate of BHHS and a bit of a mentor to him, would come to pick up Lexi in an hour, but after that he had time to kill. It wasn't the typical party where he would just buy snacks and maybe order pizza later. Pizza was still an option, but most of the foods had a bit of a purpose. Each item had something to do with a sin and he even gotten Cold Stones creamery to come through later in the party for the sins of greed and gluttony, since you couldn't get any more gluttonous than Cold Stones creamery. While doing a run through of the house, he decided to text a few friends to see what they were up to. Might as well chill with some video games until later.

To: Tim

To say that Ian was nervous would be on par with saying that Peter Dinklage was a good actor or that Saudi Arabia had some oil. Ian was utterly terrified and excited about the "Seven Deadly Sins" party Tristan Elliot was hosting. This could be the event where he could turn his social life around and actually have fun this year or he could embarrass himself completely and exile himself to the anonymity that his clique offered him. He hoped that he wasn't the only nerd or geek accepting the invitation to the party. It would be nice to have a group to fall back on if things went wrong and in a party consisting of Seniors and Royals, that was a distinct possibility.

"No," the nerd thought with a shake of his head, "I have to try. Even if I make a fool of myself, it's still better than just giving up."

With that thought, he turned his attention to his wardrobe. He knew the theme of the party, but he didn't particularly feel much affinity for any of the deadly sins. Sloth was out. If he was slothful, he'd content himself to another quiet night at home. He didn't want to go with lust or envy as he didn't want to play into the stereotypes of the lustful or envious nerd. After a week of consideration, however, he finally settled on pride.

He put on a classic purple outfit modeled on an iconic character's wardrobe from a movie made long before he was born. It was a confident, nerdy homage for a party where most of his peers would be wearing outfits worth more than he made in a year. There was no way he would be able to wear something fashionable so he didn't try to. His swimsuit and towel were already in his car. Now, he just needed to find a way to kill time until the party

"Ian, be sure to get home by midnight!" his mom shouted as he almost ran out the door. He nodded.

"I will, Mom! Don't worry!"

As he drove towards the nicer part of town, the one that screamed "MONEY", he hoped he didn't arrive too early. He had spent all day building up his confidence. It wouldn't do for the night to start off on the wrong foot. He made a right turn. He had some money on him and there were a few things he'd like to get while he had the time.

Image

It was with much less thought that Fergus Caedon set out for the party. It was only because he had liked the school's facebook page that he had heard about it at all. He hadn't put much thought behind his outfit, only scanning the theme of the party to make sure he complied with his host's wishes. While he would have liked to wear his buddhist monk's robes, he thought that it would be impolite to ignore the host's wishes. Instead, he chose a purple and red outfit with a golden mask to symbolize the vices he felt the most contempt for: Pride, Greed, and Wrath.

He looked forward to meeting new people. Really, the Seven Deadly Sins theme was excellent. It gave you a lot to think about and helped everyone take a step closer to spiritual fulfillment. He couldn't wait to get there.

Still, it was a few hours until then so he decided to explore the neighborhood. He had only moved into town recently. He might as well take in the sights.

"I have all the time in the world, praise Jesus-Buddha-Krishna."

Lateefah had just captioned her "ootd" pic on Instagram when her phone her ringtone for her brother blared loudly on her phone. Her Wannabe sisters, Bella, Chanel, and Tori all cringed at the sound and Lateefah rolled her pretty brown eyes. She could ignore it. It wasn't like Marcel was going to do anything other than whine about how she was supposed to have done this, that and the third, and she honestly didn't have time. At the same time, she'd just hear about it at the party later and he wasn't going to fuck with her turn up.

"What?" She could hear Marcel's attitude before he even spoke a word. "You do know Ma is pissed right? She didn't even say you could go out today." Lateefah exhaled dramatically and her girls giggled. "Is there a point to this phone call?" Marcel paused in the middle of making his leftover sandwich from the succulent baked chicken dinner Lateefah had made the night before. "Yeah, you took my truck." Lateefah rolled her eyes before stating, "You mean the truck that belongs, technically, to Dad since he paid for it and the Camry. The same truck he told me last night I could use since I'm driving my friends around. Again, what is the point of this convo?" Marcel sighed in frustration. Lateefah had been nothing but attitude-ridden since her return from Atlanta two days ago, and part of it was his mom's fault, Marcel could admit. Marissa Walker had thrown the biggest of fits at seeing Lateefah's hair and even threatened to cut it, which prompted a quick call to their father at the army base. Luckily, he was able to pick up, but the tension in the house was still present even with both females not even there.

"You know what, I don't know what the fuck your attitude is about. I'm not the one who did shit to you. As I recall, it's a bit vice versa." Marcel countered after a few moments of silence on both ends and Lateefah deadpanned. She did feel a bit guilty about telling her mother about Marcel's boyfriend, especially considering how against homosexuality Marissa was and how much she knew Marcel liked Tyler. At the same time, she didn't care. That wasn't her problem anymore. Besides, it was hypocritical of him to think that his shit should be kept secret when he knew damn well teasing Lateefah about even being something as simple as bicurious would get her in trouble. It was his fault. "And as I recall, this conversation is over. Don't forget to put gas in my car." Marcel didn't even get a chance to say another word because there was a click and then he was pretty sure his sister was gone. Another sigh of exasperation later and he bit into his sandwich. He still hadn't gotten around to breaking things off with Tyler. Hell, he wasn't even sure he could. He barely could stomach facing him without wanting to forget all about Marissa's bigotry. So, he text someone he could actually hang with.

To: Bea
Sister's driving me crazy. Got any plans til the party?

"I'm still mad Marcel's actually off the market," Bella finally said when it felt safe enough and Tori quietly handed Lateefah her grande iced green tea latte and ham & Swiss panini. The quartet were at the Starbucks six minutes from the Walker residence and Lateefah was more than glad that she had planned on staying at Chanel's house for the night. She didn't feel like dealing with her mother expecting her to be home by eight or even Marcel still being mad at her about one little thing when she had a lifetime of resentments. "My brother was off the market for you the second you declared yourself my bestie," she reminded the brunette icily, shimmying her left shoulder so that she could move her newly-dyed blonde hair over it. Bella frowned, but hurried to erase the look from her face. Chanel smirked. "Well, since that's out the way, are we headed to the mall? I need a new bikini before this party." Lateefah nodded, placing her wrapped sandwich on the table in front of them as the girls started to get their things in order to leave. They had a few hours to kill and Lateefah had saved up a good chunk of her summer money since her Grams was adamant that she not spend anything while in Atlanta. Even though she had worked for any of her summer expenses while there, her Grams had still told her to simply save it. So, she had time and money to spend.

What's up, Tee? You ready?" Tori inquired since they were ready and Lateefah was still seated. While all of the girls were Wannabes, there was a definite structure in their group, one that basically made Lateefah the Queen of the Wannabes. Which also made it that the girls followed whenever she moved. And whenever she didn't move, it meant something was wrong. This time, it wasn't. She just felt like including her bestie in her plans for the day, despite how much the others seemed to be against fraternizing with someone beneath their statuses. "Karina's coming with us. I'm seeing what she wants before we pick her up." She said, staring at her phone as she sent the text out to her best friend. Above the girls, despite their seeming loyalty, Lateefah only trusted Karina and only favored said girl. Which was why she levelled the three standing before her with a hardened gaze. "Be nice." They all nodded, though Tori seemed to quietly disagree and Bella made a face of disapproval. Chanel was usually the chillest one of the trio, but it was whatever. The quartet were rarely seen without one another and since none of them wanted to ever appear not as a unit, adding a fifth person shouldn't be that much of a difference. And again, in Lateefah's mind, it was whatever. Her best friend trumped these bitches any day of the week.

"Her flight touched down five minutes ago. She should be here any minute," Austen stated confidently. Timothy stood with his father near the baggage claim of Kayleen's gate. Timothy nodded understandingly, standing in nearly an identical stance as his father, with arms crossed over his chest. It was rare that Austen ever took a day off of work. Even on days where there were special events, like a birthday or holiday, the patriarch of the household would be sneaking off late at night or before the sun came up to get in a few hours at the office. For someone whose net worth was enough to sustain generations and generations of his offspring, Austen worked incredibly hard for seemingly little reason. He liked work, though. It wasn't that he needed to get away from his family, because, unless there was some secret marriage issues going on, the Cargill's were a pretty tight family unit. Tim got along with his mother, and idolized his father. Unlike a lot of boys, it wasn't because his father was never around and Timothy tried to be the best to catch his father's fleeting attention. No, despite Austen working intensely, he was around enough to remain a major role model in Timothy's life, and Timothy really wanted to be just like his father when he grew up. He was successful, hardworking, a family man, and a great husband.

The only flaw that Timothy could think of regarding his father was his first marriage. It wasn't something that was brought up frequently, considering Austen's ex-wife despised him and did her best to keep their daughter away from the Cargill's. Still, Timothy wondered sometimes about how it all could have happened. He didn't understand how his father could fall in love with one person, conceive a child with them, and just weeks later, sleep with another woman... a stranger. There was clearly a strong connection between them, something that was more than sexual, since that stranger was Timothy's mother and Austen's now wife of seventeen-years. Of course he would always side with his mother and his own family, but it didn't stop Timothy from wondering how Austen could make such a mistake and marry someone that he was so okay with losing. It was probably a major reason for why Timothy was so reluctant to address romantic feelings he had. He didn't want to make a mistake and choose the wrong person for his own sake, and their's.

Despite standing in the airport for twenty minutes, Timothy hadn't pulled out his phone once. He was surprised that his father hadn't, but if the businessman was focusing enough on his estranged daughter's presence, Timothy wasn't going to distract himself either. It seemed disrespectful, and besides, he was enjoying the small, pointless talk that he and his father had been engaging in as they waited. Although he wouldn't have minded his mother being here, it probably wouldn't have been the best start for the new life of the girl who felt like his mother ruined her life. In a way, she was right, though Tim didn't think that that was his mother's fault. Even more than his mother, it was better that Amelia wasn't here. A cat fight was the last thing that they needed minutes into Kayleen's arrival. "There she is, I think!" Timothy said, quickly pointing out a blonde emerging from the gate.

((My spellcheck program isn't working at the moment so forgive me for all of the gramatical errors.))

Friedrich really hated mornings. Absolutely nothing about them pleased him in any way. There was always traffic, there was never anything good on the TV, all the gyms in the surrounding area was cramped by people who tried to justify their horrendous fiesting by an hour at the gym every other morning, and quite frankly few of his other peers was awake before 10 so there was really no reason to get up before that. Besides, Friedrich enjoyed sleeping, so when his [ulr=http://api.sonymobile.com/files/xperia-z3-green-1240x840-6bb99ebaedf8db306387d0a873ae870d.jpg] phone[/url] started to vibrate around 12 the guy who drowsily reached out for the cause of the desturbance was not exactly a happy character. An audible sigh escaped him as he picked up his phone and read the text from Tristan. Friedrich yawned before clapping his hands and thus turning on the lights in the luxarious bedroom in his appartment before he sat up and sent an answer to his Animal friend.
To Tristan
"Sure. I'll be there in an hour."

With the text sent Friedrich drowslily left the bed and headed for the eaqualy luxarious bathroom where he turned on the shower and letting it run for a while while he turned to the touchpad mounted in the wall that controlled everything about the bahtroom, like heating, ventilation, and best of all; the hidden speakers. With a self confident smile Friedrich selected a Spotify playlist made up of Rolling Stones and Queen before he headed into the large shower.

About half an hour later Friedrich was well into the extremely complicated prosses of cooking eggs and bacon for breakfast. As he ate he had to make the though and defiantly first world problem of which of his three cars he was goin to take to the party. Everything else that had to be decided before a party was already taken care of, like the outfit whit was just a pair of ordinary denims with a white shirt and a purple blazer. Not that the car really was a problem, there wasn't really any doubt that Friedrich would go with his Wiesmann mf5 though it only has two seats, Friedrich wasn't really planning on driving tonight so to be honest it was perfect for just showing of.

A bit over one hour after the text Friedrich pulled up infront of Tristan's rather magnificent house where he roared the engine a few times just to announce his pressance before heading towards the front door and ringing the bell as common courtisy demands. At the moment Friedrich was wearing a simle pair of jeans with a plain white T shirt with his party-outfit was in a bag casually thrown over his shoulder.

"Perfect! Now remember, be nice, Tim. Mary said that she's still adjusting to the idea of moving to California," Austen said in a hushed... and was it a nervous?!... tone as they approached the baggage claim area.

"Come on, dad, you know I'm going to be nice. Mia... maybe not... but I always try with Kayleen. Why do you think I'm here?"

"I know, you're right. I just want this to be easy on everyone, ya know?" Timothy didn't have time to agree with his father and reassure him that everything would be fine, because they were soon in too close of a vicinity to Kayleen, and his father was talking again. "Kayleen, over here!" Austen said, waving to catch her attention as the father-son pair approached. "How was your flight?" Timothy considered adding in a tidbit of his own, maybe something about how Mia and his mother wanted to be there but had big commitments, but he remembered how uninterested his half-sister had seemed in making conversation and just smiled.

He's worth billions of dollars, and he can't even pay for a chauffeur to pick me up? I have to get right off the plane and deal with them? Can someone please kill me now? Kayleen mustered up a smile that she hoped looked authentic enough to hide her real feelings. She didn't want to be in California, at all. It used to be a nice vacation destination for her, because it rarely ever involved seeing her father. Despite what her father's new family might believe, Kayleen didn't have a say in moving to California. Her mother was leaving for England in a few days, and it wasn't possible for her to remain in Montana alone. She begged and begged to be allowed to move to England with her mother, but her pleas fell to deaf ears. Her mother used the excuse that she wanted Kayleen to finish her high school degree in the states, where things would be less complicated, but Kayleen was convinced that her mother just wanted to "live" again and start a life with her fiancรฉ on her own. It was likely a mix of the two, and a lot less of a personal attack as Kayleen wanted to believe it to be, but it didn't change the fact that she was stuck in the last place she wanted to be for the next year.

"It was okay. You guys didn't have to come out to pick me up, though. I'm sure you are busy, I would have been fine with a car." She wouldn't have been fine with a hired driver being here instead. She would have been relieved, thrilled, happy. She allowed her father to take her two pieces of luggage from her hands, and forced a smile of appreciation. The rest of her things had been shipped from Montana a few days ago, and Kayleen hoped that being reunited with her things would be a step towards putting her into a good mood.

"Nonsense! We can always make time for family. Amelia and Jackie spent the day getting the house ready, but everyone's been so excited for you to arrive." Timothy prayed that Kayleen really knew their father so poorly that she wouldn't sense how scripted what he was saying sounded. Tim knew that his father really wanted this to work, and what he was saying wasn't so much of a lie as it was a wish, but come on! His mother wasn't against the idea of Kayleen moving in, because there really wasn't any reason for her to feel that way. Had it been Timothy moving in with Kayleen's mom, that would have been awkward, but Jacqueline was the one who had come out on top in the entire affair ordeal. If anything, Jackie seemed more willing than usual to accommodate Kayleen, because it was clear to everyone how badly Austen wanted this to work. He still wouldn't call his mother "excited" for Kayleen to move in, but she was content with the situation by now, and willing to do what it took to help Austen. Amelia, on the other hand, was the definition of the opposite of excited.

"Mmm... great," Kayleen muttered, still trying to seem positive. She didn't want to be here, but she also wasn't going to be nasty right now. This wasn't like a Christmas vacation where she would be in California for five days, two of which she spent with a friend from home who was vacationing in Los Angeles at the same time. She was going to be stuck in the same home as these people for months. The Cargill estate was big, but not big enough where she wanted to maintain a cold and bitchy front for months. That wasn't to say that she was going to be warm and peachy, but Kayleen's plan was just to do her own thing. She would interact with her father, his slut-of-a-wife and her half-siblings when necessary, but nothing beyond that. She would go to school, go shopping on her own, go to the beach on her own, and try to make the best of this without allowing herself to fall into this new life. This new life wasn't her life, and she was stubborn enough to wish that it never would be. She had enough friends who loved her at home to want to make any new ones here. Besides, it would be easier to leave at the end of the year if she hadn't actually found anyone to make staying worthwhile.

Austen was a people person and doing his best to compensate for the seventeen years that he missed of his daughter's life, so conversation was rampant on his part throughout the ride home. Tim would do his best to chime in here or there, agreeing with his father that Kayleen was going to love Beverly Hills High, and that his friends were all excited to meet her too. A lot of the things he was saying were just as fabricated, or at least exaggerated, as his father's words, but it seemed like the only thing to do. Kayleen would respond with single words and phrases, but she didn't seem as stone-faced as she had during her Christmas visit. She was being nice enough, and he decided to brush off the borderline curtness as her just being tired from her travels.

Two of the housemaids came out to greet the trio as they stopped at the end of the long, private driveway, and Timothy was ready to hop out and get on with his day when his father addressed the staff. "No, no, don't worry about this. Timothy will help Kayleen bring these up to her room. Just make sure my lunch is hot in fifteen minutes," Austen requested. His non-business streak was nice while it lasted, because almost immediately after he finished speaking, he sunk further into his seat in the car and pressed his phone to his ear. As the woman scurried away from his window, he turned back to his children. "I'll be right in, I just have to take this."

"Alright, no problem!" Tim put on his best happy and willing act as he stepped out of the car and headed towards its trunk. "Let me just grab your bags, and then I'll show you where your room is," he said as he pulled the two large bags out of the SUV. "Wow, did you pack the entire state of Montana in here?" he asked with a chuckle. If Tim let it, he knew that the situation could get awkward since he didn't know Kayleen and from every past interaction, had been shown that she didn't want to get to know him. He didn't want that to happen though. If not for his own comfort, but to help his dad out in this situation that he wanted to work out so badly.

Oh. My. God. Fuck my life. I seriously should have had everything shipped here. Now I have to deal with more small talk. Okay, it's fine. You'll just let him bring your bags up, tell him you're tired and are going to take a quick nap. You can get through this. Kayleen's thoughts would suggest that she was dealing with something a lot more detrimental than moving into one of the nicest estates in Beverly Hills, but right now, she was entering crisis-mode in her head. She meant to laugh at the joke that she didn't find to be an ounce funny, but couldn't force herself to do more than exhale from her nose. "Just clothes. I can take them, really. It's not a big deal, just let me know how to get to my room."

"Nah, it's cool. They're not that heavy. Besides, I don't think he's going to get off our back unless he sees me going in with you," he followed up with, as he nodded his head back towards the car. Timothy thought he noticed Kayleen's smile softening a bit, but as he lugged the two suitcases into the house, he couldn't be positive. One of the housekeepers that wasn't working on Austen's lunch informed Timothy that his mother and Amelia were both out, and he was able to breathe a sigh of relief over just that. Unknowingly, Kayleen was doing the same thing, but mostly because it meant that she didn't have to deal with any welcomes or awkward re-introductions. A con of having such a large home meant that it took nearly ten minutes for them to reach Kayleen's room. On the way there, Timothy did his best to mirror his father and fill the time with conversation, but it was easier now that he could just act as a tour guide, pointing out where everything was. It didn't require much of a response from Kayleen which was helpful too. "... And last but not least, here's your room," Tim said, resting the luggage bags against the wall as he opened up the bedroom door in front of him. "I'm sure you want to get settled in, but in case you're bored later on, a friend of mine is hosting a big party. Everyone from school is going, and it should be pretty fun. You're more than welc-"

"I'm really tired, so I don't think I'll be up for any partying tonight. Thanks anyway," Kayleen didn't mean to cut him off rudely, but she was desperate for some solitude right now, and didn't even bother to drag in her luggage before closing the door in his face.

Timothy, while not oblivious of just having a door shut in his face, was just as relieved to be off of host duty that he didn't think much of it. He tried to remain sympathetic, and decided that if he were in her shoes, he would probably not want to go out on his first night in a new home and city. Still, he was unsure if his father would be content with the idea of him and Amelia leaving for a party without Kayleen. He supposed that it wasn't his problem yet, and for now, he could just relax. On his way down to the kitchen, he responded to a few texts he had gotten while at the airport, and sent one to Aaliyah, Amelia and Bradley as well.

To: Tristan

For the past hour, Kris had been pestering Kylie about attending a party that was being thrown by one of her future classmates, Tristan Elliott. Kylie had known about it for a week or two, through a text that Aaliyah Jauregui sent her, but she had no intentions of attending. It wasn't anything personal against Aaliyah's friend, because though she knew little about Tristan, she knew that he had to be wealthy and fun if he was hanging with Aaliyah. It was just simply that she had made another commitment, one that she was more excited about. Models Sama and Haya Khadra were hosting an angel themed dinner party and Kylie had already picked out the perfect outfit for it. She didn't think that her mom would ever find out about the boy from school's party, but she assumed that even if she did, Kris would want her going to the twins'. The event wasn't going to be extremely publicized or anything, but it would surely look better if she was spending her weekends hanging out with exclusively wealthy and influential people, over a mix of wealthy and average kids.

Of course, she hadn't considered this new version of Kris. In July, Kylie had been photographed kissing rapper Tyga, during a party at 1oak. It was a grainy photo posted by TMZ, so it gave the family's publicist some wiggle room in claiming that it wasn't Kylie and that she was out of the state at the time, but it was her. It had really just been one simple make out session, and after the photo hit the press Kylie promised her family she'd be more careful about who she hung out with, especially considering that he was nine years her senior, but enough damage had been done. It prompted Khloรฉ and Kim to have an "intervention" with Kris, who, following that, apparently made it her life mission to prove that she could be strict. So, in an attempt to show the world that they were still a relatable, normal family, Kylie was removed from her online homeschooling program and enrolled in Beverly Hills High School. It was rare that Kris ever acted like a real mom following the launch of their reality show, and to have it back suddenly now, when Kylie was old enough to want and know freedom, wasn't sitting well with her.

"I'll think about it!" she responded to her mother's millionth demand that she go to the party. She was quickly regretting coming into Kris' bedroom to steal a pair of heels for the twins' party. She hadn't even made it halfway across the room when her mother, sitting in a chair being worked on by a stylist, brought up Tristan's party. Apparently, Kendall had somehow found out about it, and shared the information with Kim, who told Kris.

Kylie rolled her eyes as her mother asked the stylist to give the two of them some privacy. The woman obliged quickly, and as the door shut behind her, her mother responded in her typically dramatic voice. "No, Kylie! I'm your mother and I'm saying that you're going. Weren't you with those girls yesterday? Now it's time for you to focus on some of your new school friends!"

"I was with Stassie yesterday. She's not coming tonight. This is the dinner party that Sama and Haya are throwing. I told you about this a million times. Kendall's going and --"

"Kylie, I said no. You need to start getting to know the kids you're going to be going to school with. Besides, the cameras are already scheduled to stop by later to film you getting ready." It wasn't unbelievable in the slightest that her mother's attempt to be a good mother coincided with a filming day, or that this new "normal teenage girl" life would give Kylie an interesting storyline for the next season. That part didn't even bother her, though. She was so used to being filmed and having her entire life exposed, that being forced to go to public school for some extra views wasn't even startling.

"Okay, so they can film me getting ready for my dinner party," Kylie shrugged dismissively. She abandoned her plight towards Kris' closet, deciding that it would be easier to just go out and buy a new pair than to deal with this. Before she was able to reach the door, though, her mother spoke again, refusing to let Kylie win this one.

"I said no, and that's final. Now, go ask Victoria to drive you to Khloรฉ's. The camera's are going to come over in an hour or so. Did you invite any of your new friends over to film with you?"

"No, because I'm not going to be with them tonight. If Kendall's going to the twins' party, so am I." There was a three year age difference between she and Kendall, and though Kendall was technically a legal adult at this point, it didn't matter to Kylie. The two of them had always been the "little" girls of the family, when compared to their half-siblings, and she didn't think it was fair for Kendall to suddenly be free while she was being unfairly oppressed. She felt like she was just as mature as her sister, and this was just another one of her family's attempts to lift Kendall higher while pushing her down.

"Victoria! Kylie needs to be driven to Khloรฉ's now!" Kris was infuriating her today, and by the time that she was calling out for Kylie's personal assistant, Kylie was already slamming her bedroom door. She found Victoria hurrying up the stairs and informed her that she was ready to leave. She would go to this party, which in her anger, she now deemed stupid, for an hour or two, and then make it to the twins' party before anything good even happened. She would be fashionably late, still have a good time, and keep her mother from going into dictator mode again.

To: Aaliyah Jauregui
Hey so I might actually be able to make it tonight. Send me the time and address again?

August 1st, and instead of basking in the glory of the Los Angeles sun, Fabian instead found himself in bleak and bleary Scotland, ankle deep in mud and grass and hunting fucking grouse. His father stood somewhere at his back, having a chat with Prince Charles and the Duke of Norfolk, while packs of hunting hounds sniffed about at their feet.

Once in a while, a bird would be spotted, and there would be a scramble for triggers and the cracking of guns. Normally, he'd be right in the middle of the fray, rifle aimed and finger hovering over the trigger, but today, he decided to stand back and watch.

And if he had a scowl on his face the entire time, well, nobody cared to point it out.

He wasn't sulking. He's too dignified for that (or at least that's what he believes). He just wasn't in the mood for killing fat, defenceless animals just because his esteemed father thought it would be a wonderful idea to go hunting eleven fucking days before the start of grouse season, andโ€”coincidentallyโ€”on the very day of his flight back to Los Angeles. Tristan Elliot's party was also that night, which irked him even more because he'd already picked out the perfect outfit a week before.

That's one flight canceled and one perfectly good outfit wasted. Thank you, father, for your magnificent timing.

Sighing, Fab took his phone out of his pocket, pulled up Snapchat, and snapped a few quick pics:

There he was, looking dapper in a bespoke charcoal grey hunting coat, his rifle nestled at the crook of his arm and a mop of curls sticking out of a beagling cap that he quickly coloured purple.

'purple for pride right? ;)'

Then another with Prince Charles laughing in the background with a hand on his father's shoulder.

'sorry can't go, hunting w/ royalty x'

And lastly, the vast emptiness of the Scottish moors. Andโ€”to his surprise and amusementโ€”Prince Harry at the very right, making kissy faces at the camera. Oh yeah, the girls are definitely going to love that one. He thought as he typed out a quick caption. He then hit 'add to stories' and sent it to the Royals and whoever else he considered relevant.

'harry sends his love xxx'

After twenty minutes of blissful silence Sophoronia had almost forgotten that Amelia was at her house until the utterly pissed off blonde came storming back into her room from the closet. "Who the hell does he think he is?! Be nice! Be nice! When the hell do I ever pretend or play nice!" Amelia said chucking her phone across the room so hard she was lucky it didn't shatter on impact when it hit the wall. "Jesus christ! Lia what the hel--" "He called me a brat..an-and said that I throw tantrums - which admittedly is kind of true, but ... he's such a kiss-ass!" Amelia said plopping down on the bed next to Sophia. "Whenever you feel like starting from the beginning so I can at least pretend to understand what your talking about feel free." With a heavy sigh Amelia spilled the tea regarding the text her brother had sent her while she was rummaging through Sophia's closet, "Kayleen has officially moved her boney ass into my house." Amelia said as she laid back on her bestie's bed, "Think your parents would let me move in here....for like....ever?" Sophronia giggled as she laid down beside Amelia, "Quit being so dramatic," her words had Amelia looking at her like she had two heads, "I was gone for all of ten minutes and you suddenly don't know me at all." This got another giggle out of Sophronia as she grabbed the nearest pillow and squatted Amelia with it. "Shut up, and for the record you were gone for like twenty minutes thank you very much."

The two girls giggled before finally Amelia sat up, "So, is that a no to getting the bestest most awesomeness person in the world as your new roommate?" Amelia said with a pout giving Sophronia her puppy dog look which just garnered a eye roll from Sophronia as she too sat up. "No, that was a no to you letting the quote on quote "interloper" run you out of your own home. Look, Lia you know your always welcomed here and if things ever become to much your more than welcomed to hide out here, but as far as moving in....absolutely not." Rolling her baby blues Amelia gave a dramatic sigh as she got up off the bed. "Fine, but if I end up getting arrested for murder just know that while you can't be entirely blamed for my incarceration you did play a part in it by refusing to let me stay here." Amelia said walking across the room to where her phone laid on the floor. Checking the screen she breathed a sigh of relief when she found that the screen hadn't cracked, "Well I guess am not completely unlucky." With her spirits lightened a bit she suddenly remembered her text from Aaliyah, "Oh! I totally spaced. Allie texted me back while I was getting out your outfit for the party. Am going with wrath...and you my darling...," she said tossing her phone on the bed as she jogged to the closet and back with Sophia's outfit in toe, "will be dressed in the sin of pride."

"I don't really think pride fits me." Sophronia said the uncertainty in her voice clear as day. "Soph none of the seven sins really fit you. Your sinless. Which is something that will hopeful change at some point during the year...but, until it does pride is the best I can do. It's not my fault your as sinful as a saint." Sophronia couldn't help but smile as she didn't even bother putting up a fight. With all the changes going on in Amelia's life at the moment Sophie knew that a day of fun was just what her friend needed and if allowing her to drag her to some popular dude's party would give her the fun she needed than Sophronia would go along with it. "Fine. Pride it is. Shall we get ready?" A smile spread across Amelia's face that was from ear to ear, "Hell to fucking yeah! Get those irons heated. I just need to text Allie back and we can get this pre-party party started!" Throwing the articles of clothing that made up Sophie's outfit on the girl's bed Amelia picked up her cell and took a photo of the outfit and texted it to her along with the pictures of their bikinis and than sent her a text.

Karina's Outfit || Karina's Location
It was one of the last Saturday's of summer, and while Karina dreamed of being at the beach, she was stuck home. It felt like she was stuck, but she wasn't really. Her mother had been pestering her to get out of the house for the past few weeks. After Maria had been diagnosed with breast cancer in mid-July, Karina felt like it was her job to relieve as much pressure from her mother's shoulders as possible. The doctors advised Maria to endure as little stress as possible, but for a woman who had spent her entire adult life working seven days a week, that wasn't easy. Not only was it in Maria's nature to work, but it was necessary for her situation. Right now, Karina and her mother were living comfortably, but that was because the Cargill's were good employers. They provided room and board for the family while still offering a fair level of pay on top of that. If they had to pay rent and utilities on their own, there was no way that Karina would be able to afford to pass off as being barely middle class, but that wouldn't be the biggest issue, considering there was no way that they would afford to live in Beverly Hills anyway.

Even with the Cargill's generous pay, the medical bills that had already started flowing in had Karina wondering what they were going to do. Their health insurance sucked, and that was the biggest reason for why the cancer had been able to grow to stage IV. Maria was the type of woman who put her children's needs before her own, so when she suspected she was ill, she brushed it off as something minor and never went to get it checked. She always insisted that it wasn't worth wasting the money on the copay when she could send that money to Alicia to help cover her textbook costs. It was obviously a bad decision, and now the cancer that probably could have been treated early on was not only in her breasts, but her liver as well. Her diagnosis was terminal, but according to doctors, as long as she received treatment, there was a chance that the cancer could be contained for long enough to possibly give Maria years of life.

Karina had spent the weeks following the diagnosis begging her mother to tell her employers of her condition. Maria refused, stating that while the Cargill's had always been wonderful to her, that she was disposable to them. In Los Angeles, there were thousands of struggling women who would eat up a job like hers for half of the pay. She didn't think the Cargill's would keep her if they knew that she wasn't going to be able to work, so she decided to keep the illness a secret until she was literally unable to do the work. That time was clearly approaching sooner than Maria thought. After receiving two chemotherapy treatments, Karina was noticing how much slower and fatigued her mother seemed. Her complexion was washed out and it was obvious that she had thinned over the past few months. She had another week or two before the chemotherapy caused her hair to fall out, but Maria had cut it short in hopes of lessening the shock of it when it did happen. She was taking things day by day, and because Karina didn't know what else to do, she was doing the same. At the same time, it was hard to not completely change her way of life after finding out that her mother was really sick. On top of feeling the need to help her mother out with the house work, Karina found herself feeling more anxious about life in general than ever before.

"Please, mom, just rest until I get back. Rose said that everything is fine, and Mr. Cargill is even letting Linda and Sherrie leave a little bit early today because he said that he and Mrs. Cargill are going out to dinner, and that everything looks great. Timothy and Amelia and Kayleen are all going to be out too, so there isn't anything that you need to do," Karina insisted as she watched her mother wash dishes in their own kitchen sink. She had spent the morning cleaning the bedrooms in the main house with the other live-in housekeeper, Rose, and was now on her mid-day break. Karina had went ahead and done the Cargill family's laundry so that her mother could spend the rest of the evening relaxing, and she really hoped that her mother would actually do so for once. "I'm going to run back over there to fold the clothes once the dry cycle is over, and then I promise I'll text Tee and see if she still wants to do something." The uneasy approval that Maria followed Karina's dictation of her plan up with reminded Karina of how self-sufficient her mother was used to being. She wasn't used to being the person in the position of needing to be looked after and cared for, but there was nothing any of them could do. "Dรฉjalo en manos de Dios," was the response that Karina always seemed to get when she asked her mother about how she was feeling or if she felt like the treatment was helping, and for now, Karina decided that all she could do was leave it in God's hands.

Thirty minutes later, she was nearly finished with folding the laundry and separating it into baskets for Mr. Cargill, Mrs. Cargill, Amelia and Timothy, when her phone buzzed and she saw Lateefah's text. She wanted to see Tee, but with tonight being Tristan Elliott's party, Karina expected Tee's wannabe mode to be fully activated. The fact that Lateefah ended up in that clique only bothered Karina because she felt like it changed Tee's character, at least when she was around the other wannabes or the royals. She felt like it propelled Tee into this personality that wasn't her, and Karina didn't understand what the goal of acting that way was. Still, Lateefah was her best friend, and getting out of the house for a few hours would be good, especially since she knew her mother would insist upon it.

To: Tee
I'm good... no need to get anything for me! thanks tho! but okay, i'll meet you outside the gates in 20 or so!

A text later, and Karina was hurrying back to her house on the other side of the property to grab her bag, twenty dollars from her mom, and reassure her mom once more that all of the housework was taken care of. Luckily for her, she managed to pass by one of the landscapers who gave her a ride in their golf cart-like vehicle to the gated entry of the Cargill property. Having to walk across the entire estate could have taken her a good half an hour in herself, so she was relieved when she exited through the gates and found that she was right within the time frame that she had given Lateefah. Rather than have Tee drive into the Cargill's driveway, Karina walked up it herself and waited at the top of the long driveway, so far up that aside from the large gates, the estate was barely visible.

By the time Aaliyah's two friends had met up with her, Aaliyah had already made her way to Teavana to buy more chai tea for her home collection, but also purchased a blackberry mojito tea lemonade. In the process of arriving at the shopping center, she had not glanced back at her phone and only glanced back at it while waiting for her drink to be prepared. Just before acknowledging the friends who were approaching her, she sent out her response to Tim with a smirk.

To: Tim
Cute. U wish, but ur cute. Did ur sis come yet?

"Hello, my darlings," she greeted the two females and they headed to their first stop at Beach Bunny Swimwear. While neither of the girls were either of her female best friends, Aaliyah considered them really close friends. More than that, they were two of her most trusted followers in the school. Deanna was her inside man on the B-Listers as she was an Animal and Shailene was her cheerleader. Aaliyah didn't always claim being paranoid, but she spent a good chunk of her time being in the know. Someone wanted to start a rumor about herself or Mikayla, she knew about it. Someone slept with someone they weren't supposed to, either of the girls would tell her. Or, have someone else inform them so that she would learn the truth, at least. A roundabout way, indeed, but it had worked. It also helped that she actually liked them enough.

"What about green? Not that you of all people are envious of anyone, but it'll match your eyes," Deanna offered, rifling through the selection while Aaliyah did the same, unimpressed. Despite loving fashion and styling, she hated shopping. It was tiresome, especially since she received selections before they reached the stores most of the time. It was interesting with fun people, but not when she had to do it for herself. Shrugging, Aaliyah picked up a yellow number and threw it at Shailene. "Well, if I can't shop for me, I've got you in the bag. You're greed." Smirking, Shailene eyed the bikini before pretending to have an attitude. "What ya tryna say, Allie?" Aaliyah stuck her tongue out at the dark-skinned gymnast. "Wouldn't you like to know?" She shot back and glanced down at her phone to see both the text from Amelia and from Kylie.

"Let's be real, ain't nobody coming in as their actual sin. This is a party, not a truth circle," Lateefah interjected in the midst of Bella and Chanel's back-and-forth. Once Karina confirmed that she didn't want anything from Starbucks (with Lateefah shutting down any smart retort Chanel might have had with a sharp glare), the girls all headed towards the Cargill estate. Bella was trying to figure out if she should go as wrath or as envy, which Chanel thought was ridiculous because that was just telling everyone that she was both extremely jealous and had a bad temper. Definitely not a turn-on. Which prompted a full on debate with Tori tuning them out by switching stations on the radio from her seat.

"Fine, whatever. What color are YOU wearing then, Tee?" Bella asked and Lateefah didn't respond for a moment, distracted by the massive homes of the premiere neighborhood. Large and spacious estates with sprawling lawns, fountains, sleek gates and long driveways that were seemingly endless - they were enough to almost turn her literally green. Whether or not Lateefah wanted to admit it, her color for sure would always be green as she was an envious individual. At the same time, however, purple fit her better and was her choice for the evening. After all, she was too damn proud to admit to anything. "Purple, I obviously. I always look good in purple."

Luckily, they didn't have to drive into the Cargill's driveway. Karina was waiting at the gated entry and Lateefah's entire face brightened immediately upon seeing her bestie. While she could have parked and waited for her best friend to climb on in, Lateefah pulled her vehicle close to the sidewalk, put it into park, and then climbed out to attack the tiny Drifter. "RINA!" She squealed before launching into a massive bear hug, practically hoisting Karina up initially. Anyone could argue that the majority of Lateefah's relationships at Beverly Hills High were superficial. This one, however, there was nothing but genuine love here and she honestly preferred having her bestie by her side for the day above anyone else.

For the past seven years, Karina had lived in the maid's quarters on the back of the Cargill estate, and yet it didn't feel like home. That's why it was frequent for her to have friends pick her up outside of the gates. It always made her feel uncomfortable welcoming people in, because it wasn't her place to do so. It was a mindset that she had probably gotten from her mother. Maria was always very insistent that her children stay within their boundaries. They were never to go playing out on the lawns, using the family's equipment, or even thinking about taking a dip in the pool. Growing up, there were so many luxuries that were physically in her reach, but realistically so far. It was something that she grew used to, and now that she was a teenager and no longer a child, something that she was content with. Every now and then, when she saw Amelia splashing around with her friends or Timothy pulling up in a new sports car, she'd feel a tinge of jealousy, but this summer especially, Rina was trying to appreciate what she had, and not worry about what she didn't have.

Her happy-go-lucky personality was a part of her natural disposition, but it was something that had proved to be necessary for her survival too, at least in a social aspect. All her life, she struggled to find a physical home that was actually hers, and that she could feel comfortable in. Socially, things weren't very different. She moved during grade school and lost those friends, and coming to a new school in a town filled with incredibly wealthy peers didn't make the transition any easier. Being bright and cheerful all of the time helped Karina attract friends, but she never really found a group to call home. She was a good singer, but she wasn't involved in music enough for it to cross over from just being a hobby, to her becoming a virtuoso. For obvious reasons, she couldn't become a royal and she wasn't athletic in any sense of the word which kept her out of the jocks and cheerleaders. Personality wise, she didn't really adhere to any other group either. Besides, Karina was far too outgoing to be trapped in one circle. The thought of having a home base seemed nice and comforting, but she just didn't mesh well with the idea of being restricted from talking to certain people because of their levels on the ladder.

Just because Karina liked to see past social labels didn't mean that everyone else did, though. A good example of people who seemed to be obsessed with social status were the wannabes, who happened to pull up only a couple minutes after Karina had gotten to the top of the driveway. The way that she squealed, "Tee!!!", exhibited how thrilled she was to see one of the drifters, and it wasn't a superficial greeting at all. Karina really loved Lateefah. She was her best friend and had been for a few years. Their encounter had been completely random, and Karina still swears that it was fate that brought her and her mother to the same nail salon as Lateefah, as her mother was treating her to a birthday manicure. Just because they became fast friends didn't mean that their personalities were identical, and though Karina tried not to think into it too much, she did sometimes worry for Tee. After everything that had went down between her and the queen bee's boyfriend, Karina still couldn't comprehend if all of this was really worth it. Was the plight to popularity really worth risking the good nature that Rina knew Lateefah really had? She wasn't sure, but Karina again tried to tell herself that just because she wasn't interested in becoming popular, didn't mean that it might not have been worth it to Tee.

As she returned the hug that Tee embraced her in, Karina peered over her friend's shoulder and into the truck. She easily picked out Bella sitting in the front seat, and though the tinted windows made it difficult to see exactly who was in back, one could only guess that it was Chanel and Tori. Karina didn't have a problem with any of them, but at the same time, she wasn't oblivious to the fact that she wasn't one of them, and that some of them didn't hesitate to make that known. She absolutely would have preferred to hang out with Lateefah one on one, but she wasn't stupid enough to think that that could be a reality. Not when they were hours away from the kickoff party of the year, at least. "You look so pretty! I always love you in floral!" she beamed when she finally pulled away from her friend. Glancing back towards the truck, she spoke again. "Okay, okay, I don't want to keep everyone waiting! Let's go!" Her words came out more enthusiastically than she really felt, but it was hard for Karina to tone down the excitement after just seeing Lateefah for the first time in what felt like forever. She slid into the back seat, taking up as little room as possible, which wasn't hard for a girl of her stature, in an attempt to be as little of a nuisance as possible. Although she wanted to chat with Tee forever, not only did she have a hunch that the girls would be bothered by her more if she halted whatever was on their agenda, but Karina didn't want to be loitering outside of the Cargill's house in case one of them pulled in at the same time. "So, I heard Kylie Jenner is enrolled at our school this year?! Do you think she's actually going to go, or is it just a rumor?" Karina liked conversation. Silence usually made her uncomfortable and anxious, especially around these girls, so she took a stab at stirring up conversation.

He had left his father outside only around ten minutes ago, so that meant that he had five minutes to get down to the kitchen, find someone to cook for him, and get out of there before the patriarch came in. Timothy knew that he was being dramatic. He didn't really need to avoid his father, and he wasn't going to die if he ran into him, but he also didn't want to be pushed with the whole Kayleen thing. It was true that he was certainly the most willing in the family to get to know her and give her a chance, but he was already doing both of those things, and it was clear that she was barely receptive to it. Timothy didn't want to deal with his father trying to push him farther on top of Kayleen, and if he saw him now, he was sure he would insist that Kayleen come to Tristan's party later. He had offered, she had said no, and that was that. It didn't seem necessary for her to attend, for one, because she didn't know anyone, and it would likely be uncomfortable for her. She not knowing anyone meant that Timothy would also be forced to babysit, and besides that, if Kayleen came, it meant that there was a chance that she and Amy would run into each other. Tim wasn't sure that he wanted to deal with that, on what was definitely going to be the last, sickest nights of the summer.

To: Aaliyah
Can't blame a guy for trying ;) And yup. Not going great but Amelia's not here so it could be worse. Maybe it's u she doesn't like tho. Didn't wanna come bowling now she's rejecting an Elliott party invite and coincidentally ur gonna be there too....

To: Aaliyah
BTW bring Kendall Jenner tonight or i don't believe ur actually friends w her

Soon after texting Aaliyah back, he made a stop in his room to change into swim trunks. He didn't know if he was going to go to Tristan's early yet, but even if his father was cool with him leaving Kayleen alone, he needed to eat first, and where better to eat than out by the pool? Along with his texts to Aaliyah, he sent her a snap of his shirtless form, with the caption "prepping for our skinny dipping", and one of him flipping off the camera that went to Fabian, with the caption "wow bro, missing the party of the summer". Lastly, he sent one to Tristan, with "poolside lunch b4 i kick ur ass". When he arrived in the kitchen, he was pleased to find it vacant, aside from a a staff member who was working on Austen's lunch. "Hey, would you mind making me a grilled cheese? I'll be out by the pool when it's ready," he said, barely pausing as he made his way through the doors and towards the pool.

Aaliyah scrolled through her Instagram feed idly as Deanna went to go try on her selection and Shailene was still rummaging around in the store. Dolce & Gabana was not her favorite place to be, not that she didn't appreciate the art of the place, and so Aaliyah was very certain she wasn't going to find anything that she would want here. So, she had no need to look. Besides, the others needed their outfits. She was certain about what she was going to wear considering the fact that she planned on taking the dress off the second she got to Tristan's. In the middle of that train of thought, she received the notification from Fabian about not being able to attend.

While some of the others might have literally gone crazy when Fabian had initially been introduced, Aaliyah had just shrugged off his family's title and simply introduced himself. Not that she didn't take his title seriously, but he was a student still. He was just another kid in a building filled with kids and she saw no need to suck up to him. She saw no need to suck up to anyone and Fabian was cool enough. She liked his style, that was for sure. But at the moment, all she could feel was sorry for him. The last place Aaliyah herself would ever want to be on a day like this is somewhere where the sky was gray when she knew damn well LA was going to be bright and sunny. No amount of hanging with actual royalty would make her feel better about that situation.

To: Fab
Ur sure we don't need 2 send a rescue party? Make up some random excuse?

Just as she sent that text, Aaliyah received the notification about Tim's message and snap and was going to answer but Deanna came out of the changing room in a horrendous (if you asked Aaliyah, anyway) dress. Shailene remained silent on Aaliyah's left, but Aaliyah's raised brow spoke volumes for the both of them. "What about this one?" Shailene would have spoke, but Aaliyah cut in quickly. "Sure, if the plan was to dress like it was your last night on the Titanic back in 1912." The cut didn't fit the tall girl, the color did not complement her tanned skin, and the whole look in general looked stiff and unappealing. Granted, Deanna hadn't been shopping for today's look, but as many times as the two of them had been seen together, Aaliyah would not be caught dead beside one of her friends in some outfit like that.

Her input taken into consideration (since Deanna pouted her way back to the dressing room and Shailene snickered off in another direction), Aaliyah returned her attention to her phone to see what Tim was talking about. Only to bite her lip slowly to one, keep a chuckle from escaping but also not to make any other sound of surprise...because...he's not fair. The snap of him shirtless was not fair and he was being a tease when she had been trying to be nice about the "unwanted" sibling and she had the right mind to send something back. She could have, but as she bit her lower lip again, decided against it. He wanted a show for tonight. She'll give him one.

To: Tim

To: Riley

Lateefah grinned in glee once she and Karina separated and waved off her best friend's compliment with a laugh. Not that she didn't know she looked good or anything like that, but still. Her smile waned just a little when Karina rushed for them to not hold the others up and her brain was quick with wanting to respond with, Them bitches can wait, but she didn't say it. Instead, the two girls headed towards the vehicle with Karina climbing into the backseat and Lateefah reclaiming her driver's seat. She gave a warning glance to Bella who hadn't even done anything, but Lateefah knew that out of the others, Bella was the mouthiest and she would be real quick to kick the skinny bitch out of her car if she said one rude thing to her friend.

Which was why she was grateful that Tori was the first to interact with Karina. "Last I checked, she was. Pretty sure Aaliyah said something about it on her Instagram." She said, pulling her phone out to see if she could find said post. Chanel hummed thoughtfully before grinning, scooting over for the tiny brunette. "Which brings me back to the argument last week. I'm still marrying Rob. It's decided." Bella stuck her finger in her mouth as if she was about to force herself to barf and Tori's nose wrinkled. Lateefah chuckled before peeling away from the curb and driving down the road. "Okay, ew! Second, it's Kylie Jenner. At the end of the day, I'm not starstruck over some chick who honestly hasn't done much. If she is a student or isn't, it honestly doesn't matter at this point." Lateefah didn't have a problem with Kylie, liked the family name and all, but Kylie was still Kylie. And that was a Kylie her mom would never permit her to hang out with even if the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan decided to become Mother Teresa over night.

After a few minutes of perousing through her online shopping link via her phone, Bella glanced back at Karina with a grin. "Soooo...what color are you wearing, Karina?" Lateefah glanced back at her best friend through the rear view mirror with a bright smile. "Oooooh, red. Definitely red, maybe pink and red."

By the time Tristan heard the roar of an engine in his driveway, he had already decided upon wearing orange for gluttony instead of being the stereotypical blue for lust like Aaliyah thought he would be. It was a split second decision, but with his stuff spread out on his bed, he had walked back to the kitchen and began preparing his own lunch like Tim. Well, at least, he was preparing it. Tim had staff to do that and Tristan knew he could get that if he wanted to, but it honestly wasn't necessary. A cheesy chicken and bacon melt sandwich wasn't a hard thing to make and as he let the pan cool on the stove before he placed it in the dishwasher, Tristan scooped up one half of his sandwich with paper towel and went to open the door. Friedrich had already rung the bell and he didn't want to keep the guy waiting outside.

"Hey, man. Wassup? How was your summer?" He greeted and let the Royal male inside. Lexi came poked her head out of the kitchen, but then went back to drinking her water. No surprise there. Once she got used to certain people's scents, it was a wrap. Unless you were one of her faves, she didn't always come out to greet you. A very decisive dog, his mom had joked once, but Tristan just saw her as another one of his girls. She was just as picky about her people as both Aaliyah and his own mother. As he led Fritz to the downstairs lounge and man cave areas since both had the video game systems, he nodded towards the bar and miniature fridge. "Want anything to drink or something? I invited Tim, but he might be over a bit later." While Tristan normally told his friends that they basically lived in his house and that they could raid his stuff on their own, spending time with his mother two weeks ago brought out his manners and well...there they were. Taking a bite of his sandwich, he also sent a text to a few friends.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't my boy Timothy," Bradley mused aloud upon seeing his friend's name pop up on his phone. He had seen Timothy just a few days before when the boys took Bradley's family's new yacht out on the water, but the two days since then felt longer than it actually was. Between then and now, Bradley had flown to New York and back to visit his sister Emily at her new apartment, and spending so much time with both his sister and parents all at once made it feel like time had completely stopped. It wasn't fair to be that dramatic, considering that he got along well with his mother, enough with his sister, and his father not so much, but he spent most of his time on the phone or checking emails. There was no real animosity in the Arthurs family; his mother wouldn't allow it, but still, Bradley had spent the trip composing a list of a million other places that he would have rather been.

He set his phone down on the table next to his reclined lounge chair as he reached over and took a sip of the Cuba Libre that had been set there moments before. "How many fucking times do I have to tell them to give me two limes?" he growled, speaking aloud, despite the area being vacant outside of his own presence. Whoever had made the drink hadn't added enough lime juice for his tastes, but the bit of juice he was able to squeeze out of the served slice would have to do for him. He shook his head as if someone had just sinned against him, as he once again picked up his phone, now taking the time to answer Tim.

To: Timothy Cargill
Eh, not in the pregaming mood. I'll pick you up on my way there.

Basking in the sun all day had somehow managed to wear Bradley out, and he was feeling unusually lazy at the moment. Beverly Hills was hot today, and if he wasn't planning on getting wet later on, he would have hopped into the crystal blue pool in front of him now. He didn't want to get his hair wet now, though, considering that he had deemed today a good hair day. Messing that up now, before he had a chick unzipping his pants, wasn't going to suffice. As he finished off his drink, he considered texting Tim back and offering to pregame at his place, but decided against it. If Kayleen might be coming, that wouldn't be a good idea. Bradley wasn't respectful towards girls, and he would be the first one to admit that. It wasn't something that he was ashamed of, and in fact, he was quite proud of how he could be such an ass and still get nearly any girl he wanted. However, he knew that he wouldn't be able to resist acting that way towards Timothy's sister: a hot blonde who wasn't younger like Amelia, or emotionally close to Timothy like Amelia. She seemed like fair game, and once they were at the party and he had a few drinks in him, the bro code would probably fly out the window, but for now, he decided he should lay off. Besides, there were bound to be tons of other hot girls he could get. It was a party hosted by an Animal, after all. The girls of that group always seemed to be up for anything, and Bradley had already added a few of them to his "tapped that" list.
