Introduction
Note: The roleplay isn't exactly revolved around the shamaness but around her disciples. So the desciples are the protagonists.
As-Shadad: As-Shadad is a desert nation ruled by an emir. The society is strictly religious and especially the woman are disadvantaged. The women must cover their hair and wear long clothes and are rather seen to have the sole purpose to take care of homes and children. Their beliefs don't allow them to eat gazelle or antilope. They mostly live in villages near oases. The capital of As-Shanal is located on the coast of the nations largest lake. The Shahadans belief in the One God. Currently thousands have died within weeks due to the illness.
Mbalo: The Mbalo live in a land north of As-Shahad where the landscape is mostly savannah. Their villages are made up of wooden huts, some however are treehouses build in gigantic trees. The Mbalo capital is built into a mountain. The city gate of the capital is located about 14000 feet below the highest point of the city. The Mbalo are a spiritual folk that believe animals are their companions however it doesn't mean they don't eat them as they view eating beings of another species as natural. Due to no horses or camels, the Mbalo mostly ride lions, antilopes, cheetahs or oversized savannah wolves (in real world: Abyssinian foxes). Here everyone is valued as equal worth. The Mbalo still possess the ability to ward off demons and use earth-based magics. Their general attire is often lightweight, short sleeved and made of animal hide or animal hair. Tattoos are common in Mbalo society.
Demons: Demons are not that uncommon in this world. They come in all sorts of forms. Some are human in appearance, some animal and some in between. If an animal talks to you in human tongue, it might be a demon. Demons are powerful and use dark magics to bring suffering upon the weak and the magicless. They are rather rare in Mbalo lands as the Mbalo are able to defend themselves against them. However in As-Shadad they are more common.
