Delilah sat quietly on the balcony, gazing out over the grass and into the trees. Her vampire, Kirenai, had left around thirty minutes ago to fulfill his bad habit once more. She'd never liked the fact that he stole from others; he was wealthy enough in her opinion, anyway. But that negative contribution didn't sway her feelings for him. She blinked and lifted her eyes to the starry night. Was she in love with him because of who he was? Or was she in love with him because she believed she could change him? While she struggled to find an answer to these questions, a howl pierced the night, sending chills down her spine. Werewolves. She'd never grow used to them. Although she was definitely good friends with Shira and Eden, she felt unsafe when around them. Something about them scared her. Now that she thought about it, vampires scared her as well. Yet did she really have a choice in this now? She had a Blood Oath with Kirenai. She'd promised to allow him to feed from her until the ends of eternity. Maybe that scared her. Maybe it didn't.
