There are some things and some people in this world that are unexplainable. They seem to deny all odds, to be able to do things that are only told in works of fiction. There are also some people who know that it’s not simply some fluke, that these people and their powers are real. They either strive to learn from them, to use them, or to kill them. There’s no in between, and these ability users are always stuck in the middle.

Our story begins with four young ability users, all of which are scattered around the world. One day, during school, a man came to visit them and told them that he knows what they can do and who they are. How he knows is a really mystery to all. But the man, who tells them he is a parapsychologist, informs them they must pack up all their things and to come over the the Zetes Institute located in Riverside, Califnia. This institute a place where they can study one anthers powers, and where they can learn to control them, something all of them desire very much. Each child’s parents are informed that they are off to study abroad, and then follow the man to their new home, only to get a shock or surprise when they meet the rest of the group he’s gathered.

They all know one another.

Not physically, as they didn’t live in the same places, but mentally. Something odd started when each child powers developed. A mind link happened to form between the four of them. Usually one could block it out, but through this link these four people could communicate with one another, and sometimes, see through one anthers eyes as well. Now they won’t have communicate and see each other through that link with each of them being so close. Everything now seems perfect. They have a nice home and are finally learning how to control their out of wack powers. It’s perfect. That is until, they come to know the true story behind the Institution, like what happened to the ‘defected and failed’ test subjects before them and what Emmanuel Zetes, the man who owns the institution, plans on using the kids for.

Listening To You're a Wolf by Sea Wolf

░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░

Saying goodbye has never been the easiest thing to do.

So far in Naomi's life, the amount of times she's had to say goodbye to people has reached a countless point. Most goodbyes are sad, having left people Naomi would rather not have left. This list includes friends made around her country when she and her brother bounced around foster parents. Ballet teachers she's had have also made the list, as well as the occasional foster sibling that didn't make her want to rip her hair out. The worst goodbye from this list would be her mother. No eight year old needs to say goodbye to their mother permanently, but death brings itself upon everyone eventually. Her mothers just came a little quicker, all due to that damned drunk driver. Some goodbyes, however, are good; having left people that she should have long ago. Those are generally not under the 'easy' category, despite them being good. Those people are always ghosts that float around her, simply living and thriving in her memories. A simple goodbye in not enough to end them, like all those abusive foster parents in her past, and most notably her own abusive father who was deemed too unfit to care for them after getting charged with child abuse. He left a physical scar, as well as a mental one on Naomi from the memory of him slashing with a broken beer bottle on her back in a drunken state. He never got over her mothers death.

But the worst goodbyes are the ones that have the underlying silent agreement that it is not goodbye forever.

Now, one would think this would be the easiest goodbye, as they aren't real goodbyes. Just something to say to one another after leaving their presence for only a little while. But they're just so vast. The amount of time between that falsified goodbye and the next hello is too greatly varied and just doesn't sit right with Naomi. The path between is too unpredictable, wether it be only for a couple hours, days, or years. Unless someone saw the future, which at this point Naomi couldn't rule out considering her own odd situation, they couldn't know if it were really the real goodbye. If someone were to die, or change inexplicably to the point of a living death, one would be left with an empty feeling where the promise of seeing one another again once was. This is where Naomi struggles with what to say in those types of situations. She always said goodbye as if it were the last time, as she never fully knew. It gave her heartache, but she believes it would be more painful if she didn't.

So at two in the afternoon on a saturday, in the Stockholm Arlanda Airport, she said goodbye to her twin brother, August, as if it were the last time she would see him. The two were quite the spectacle to look at. At first glance, one wouldn't even think they were siblings, let alone twins, him being the elder of the two by five minutes. Naomi stood a miraculously tiny 5'2, while he towered over her at 6'3. Her looks and slightly pigmented skin belonged to her mothers, where his slightly more chiselled and pale features was after their father. The only thing they did share was their shockingly blue eyes, positively identical in that way. Not only was her nickname Blue amongst many, his was too. Together, both radiated a very mysterious air, like they belonged to their own personal world in which people avoided in fear of trampling over their toes. Separately of course, many didn't care. But they clearly showed their co-dependent sibling-ness nature in public, and as soon as their relation is stated, people realize that they truly have not been separated since birth.

    Well, until now.

"You positive you have your passport?" August questioned for the fifth time since they got into the car to where the stood just outside of security now. "Yes, for the last time I double checked before we left," she sighed lightly, digging into her messenger bag only now just pulling it out as proof to him. He nodded as if finally off edge. "You know, I can still tell them I changed my mind, I can easily call that man right now," she began to say, herself being very unsure about the whole situation itself. It seemed a little odd, how this institute suddenly tracked her down offering her a place to stay and some answers to her many questions, all for the price of researching her and a couple others they were bringing in. At first, she easily declined the offer, refusing to leave her brothers side. However, a couple of days later, her brother found the letter and was the convincing voice for her to leave. He'd known what she was and what she could do. It was really hard not to, within her whole family, when you have a little baby girl who whenever would cry would turn into a grey kitten. Of course it was a shock. Well, actually, more then that, but her mother accepted her, her father always a little more reluctant, only taking out his abuse and his words when her mother had passed on. Her brother was a different story. It was always just a normal thing for him, so much so he didn't think it honestly weird. Course, non of her foster families knew. She liked to keep it as such.

"You are getting on that plane, Kitty," he scolded her, using the nickname he gave to her when they were kids. It wasn't clever. She turned into a cat a lot -- Kitty. Real creative. "You'll be taken care of there, and I'll be just fine here for a little while. Just call me when you get the chance okay, I got you a cellphone and it covers long distance." He added, before pulling one of those touch screened cellphones she definitely wouldn't know how to work. That very fact must have displayed on her face, as he rolled his eyes, and quickly showed her where all the various apps and stuff were. His number was already programmed into it.

Throwing her arms around him in a hug, he gave her a tight squeeze back, before letting the small girl go and ruffling her hair slightly. "I better hear from you everyday or I swear August I am getting on the next flight back here and tracking you down." she scolded as he scoffed, saying, "what, are you going to turn into a dog and track me down by my scent?" She pouted. "Seriously, go, you are going to miss your flight. And hey, maybe if one day I suddenly wake up as a rabbit I'll come down and join you." Naomi sighed as she clutched her passport in her grip. "If anything, you would wake up an ass," she mumbled, before turning on her heel and making her way over to the terminal entrance. "Naomi," her brother called to her, before she glanced over her shoulder. "Call me whenever you need, especially when you land. And please, stay safe." His sunken in eyes only displayed the complete and utter seriousness on his face. "You too, August." She smiled, before her disappeared from her view, as she left for the waiting area.

The flight from Stolkholm, Sweden to Riverside, California took around eleven and a half hours. She was fairly restless the whole flight, and started to doze off around the eleven PM mark Swedish time, and awoke two hours later, when told the flight had landed.

She went through a mix of emotions as she disembarked the plane. One was confusion, never having travelled anywhere. The second was a sort of numbness, already feeling home sick. The third was pure and unadulterated hatred knowing very well that jet lag was going to kill her. Her time, it was one in the morning, but in California? Well it was bloody four in the afternoon. All she wanted to do was sleep and struggle out of her coat and scarf as California was much hotter then her own city was this time of year.

Grabbing her luggage and dealing with customs for longer then she liked, she stepped into the main area of the airport, fully intending to step outside and flag down a cab to take her to wherever the residence was, before seeing her name perfectly scrawled out of a note card held by some man in a nice suit. Hesitantly approaching him, feeling almost zombie like in her tired state, she said a little timidly, "Hi, I'm Naomi." The man simply smiled, asking, "For Zete's institute?" She nodded her head, and he grabbed her bags right out of her hands with his jolly little smile and led her outside to where a sleek black car was parked. She got it, almost feeling as this were a scene out of a movie and she was getting kidnapped, she didn't have any struggle in her and just went with the flow, sending a small text to her probably sleeping brother about how she landed safely.

The city wasn't as vibrant as her own, making the home sickness she felt infinitely worse. It took maybe twenty minutes from the airport to the house, which actually stood a little on the outskirts of the humid and bustling cityscape. She couldn't help but... gape at the size of the house. She knew they were keeping medical equipment in there, but for the amount of people it shouldn't have been that nice or that big in size of property. Whatever floats their boats, she guessed.

The odd little happy man took her bags out of the trunk and left them in front of her, before leaving once again without a word. Maybe to pick up someone else, she had no clue. She decided to not think about him to much. Hoping this wasn't some weird trick or ruse, she approached the doors after descending one too many steps, and rapped on it, not sure what was going to greet her when it opened.

When an averagely attractive looking young man in a t-shirt and jeans swung open the door with a lazy grin, she realized, she fully wasn't suspecting that.

"Naomi, hey! Nice to finally meet you, come on in, lemmie get those bags for ya," he blabbered on, almost as if they were old friends as he reached around her and easily plucked her suitcase up. Seems like that thing was getting passed around a lot today. She just stood a little rigidly, hands clasped behind her back and she cleared her throat a little awkwardly before approaching inside. "Shit, you're probably wondering who I am," he flubbed, before sticking his arm out for a handshake. "Name's Lucas Zete's, we haven't been formally introduced, just call me Luke." She just nodded, a little stunned for words that this young man was the owner of the establishment. "Oh, uhm, nice to meet you. I'm Naomi, quick question, how did you know it was me?" she sputtered out of curiosity, as he recognized her as soon as she opened the door. "Ah, yeah, I had your foster files sent over to me and it had a picture of you when you were fourteen or something," he shrugged, as if it were nothing that he just admitted to her he knew literally everything of her past that was contained in those fairly private files. "You're the first to arrive so why don't you get settled in, your rooms on the next floor up, third to the right," he smiled, as he led her up anyways with her suitcase, swinging open the door to a room she didn't think she would ever get the chance to reside in. He just clapped her slightly on the shoulder, which sent a slight sharp shooting pain as he back never fully healed from the glass cutting situation. "Well, once everyones here, I'll get you all to meet downstairs so I can talk to you all about whats going down, but let me know if you need anything, Blue!" He hollered, before jogging back down the steps. Jesus, he even knew her nickname.

Stripping off her coat and scarf in fast haste, she threw them on the one chair that resided in the beautiful room. It was slightly decorated, and she was going to explore it a bit before she heard the odd sound of her favourite musical piece coming from somewhere in her coat. Rummaging through the pockets, she stared a little blankly at the phone as is buzzed and played a tune, while her brothers name and picture flashed on the screen. It took a second to realize it was a call. Quickly swiping it so to answer it, she held it up to her ear, and said, "Hello?"

Listening To Long Hair by Drowners

"Mum, for the last bloody time I went to the bathroom before we left the house!" Tobi groaned, covering his face with his hands before dropping them to stare down at his short, pixie like mother.

"Sweetheart, I know, but it doesn't hurt to remind you, you're so tall that sometimes I fear you don't get enough blood to your head," she sighed in her motherly like manner. He stood there in the Cardiff airport, mouth gapped wide. "First of all, I'm not super tall, you're just short, and secondly, did you just call your own son stupid?" He couldn't believe this. His mother was about to say goodbye to her eldest son and she calls him stupid? Pah. Ridiculous. "How many times do we have ta tell you? You're not stupid, just our special one," his father grinned broadly, before wrapping his arm around his wife's waist. They teased about it a lot, him being special. And no, it wasn't because of his force field generation. They actually didn't know about it, and he prefer keep it that way. They teased him about being the special one because unlike his two very younger brothers, Tobias was their happy little teenage accident. Many believed Tobi to be his mothers younger brother, as she had him merely at the age of sixteen, his father being the same age too. It's really incredible to him they stayed together, so much more that they had two more sons to bat when the time came.

"It would be funny if you pee'd your pants on the plane, Tobi," Lucien, his little seven year old sibling, said matter of factly with his precious little grin. "Oh Luci, you've always had the best taste in humour," Tobi grinned, dropping down to his short level. He simply pouted, informing him sternly, "I hate being called Luci, It's Lucien." Tobi smirked, saying, "Didn't mum and dad ever tell you? Your names actually Lucille, surprise!" while ruffling his golden locks that matched his mothers. Lucian looked so offended and shocked, that all the family couldn't help but laugh as the next three minutes were spent reassuring him that his name was in fact, not Lucille, and was actually Lucien.

It was like this a lot. The whole Keating clan was a playful bunch, and it made them incredibly close. Ever since Tobi found of about his force field generation, he didn't want to ruin the balance by informing his parents of that fact. He knew their was a strong possibility of them accepting it, but didn't want them to have to stress out about it. About their extra]-special, special son. As far as they knew, he was given an opportunity to study music abroad in California for free.

"Send us some pictures when you're down there," Rowland, the eleven year old sibling, spoke up. He was always interested in photographs. Everyone has their quirks. "Got it, I'll send down some post cards too, if you want." He just eagerly nodded, obviously liking the idea. The next ten minutes were spent saying goodbye over and over a thousand times, and his father trying to calm down his very emotional and crying mother. He nearly escaped without her forcing him to stay put, not to go to America.

The flight took a long and gruelling ten hours, and he almost felt like yelling at the top of his lungs 'free at last' once he stepped into the Californian airport. He held his restraint, however.

Grabbing his two suitcases and backpack packed with all his worldly possessions, the Welsh lad made his way into the entrance are,a only to see a gruff looking mad standing boredly with a sign with his name 'Tobias Keating' scrolled along it in fairly nice cursive. Moving over to him, he asked, "Hey, are you from the Institute? I'm Tobias." The man nodded, saying "Yes, welcome Mr. Keating. Let me take you to the car, then we'll head off." He sounded more approachable then he looked.

Insisting on dragging his own bags along, he loaded them into the nice car before hopping in the front seat, only making slight conversation to the obviously focused driving man. He felt weird though. It seemed like nonsense to be driving on the right side of the road. It didn't feel [i]right
despite what the words implied. In Britain, it was strictly the opposite. this would take some getting used to.

That wasn't the only thing to get used to, however. As they approached the large home that would now become his residence, it seemed so much better then the simple flat his parents owned where he shared a room with Rowland. Well, used to share a room with Rowland. He could only image what the inside would look like, hoping it wasn't ruined with a whole whack of medical stuff.

Grabbing his bags and waving goodbye to the driver, he hopped up the steps and knocked on the door, leaning against the frame slightly as he awaited whomever was to greet him. Only seconds later did is swing open to a casual looking guy, who quickly ushered him in with the words, "Hey, Tobi, right? Nice to meet you man, I'm Luke Zete's, come on inside." Tobi couldn't help but slightly gape at the interior, and he blurted out the question right away, "wheres all the lab stuff?" This got a chuckle from Luke. "Oh yeah, all that stuffs set up in the basement, but I'll explain that to all of you when you get here." Suddenly, a phone started ringing, and he heard Luke mutter under his breath. "Sorry, gotta grab this, but your room is upstairs, first door on the left, Naomi is already here so go say hi if you want," he called, before answering his phone with soft murmurs he couldn't make out.

Naomi must be one of the other people coming to the institute, but he couldn't help but chuckle at the coincidence of her name. Surely it wasn't the Naomi he knew, or well, kinda of knew. He didn't know how to exactly describe the odd mind connection. All he knew was he hasn't heard from her in a couple of days, well, any of them. He couldn't help but wonder what the chances are that the Naomi upstairs was the same one who was in his head every since he were a kid.

Making his way up the steps, he quickly shoved his bags into his incredibly nice room he would gawk at later, before peering into the other doorways, before hearing a soft voice talking in one of the rooms on the right. Peering in slightly, his eyes caught sight of a short girl, probably the height of his own mother, talking in a tired, yet familiar voice, on the phone. "Blue, is that you?" He asked a little hesitantly, almost mesmerized at the fact that it could possibly be her. Naomi turned around slightly, saying quickly, "One second Tobi, just let me finish this call," before turning back to stare out the window. The phone quickly dropped out of her hand before she turned back around and faced him, blinking her wide and vivid blue eyes in confusion. She must have recognized his voice, as he did hers. They both didn't say anything for a minute, simply gawking at one another presence. He was the first to break the silence. "Blue is that really you or did I start seeing you as well as hearing you?" She just shook her head, mouth wide open. She closed it quickly, before hesitantly, like a deer, approaching him, and promptly, poking his cheek. "I think this is real," she said almost mystified-like, before back to the unified silence it went.

In unison, they broke into a grin, and he picked her up in a hug.

Standing in the rain || Nell

"So you're really going huh Jinny? Rika, her best friend asked.

Jin-hee looked up at her with a small smile and nodded. If anyone was looking at the her they'd think the poor girl was crazy sitting on the floor at the airport, talking to herself. Rika was Jin-hee's best friend and yes, she was a spirit. Her first encounter with the bubbly ghost was when Jin-hee was 13, swinging by herself at the park in the cold rain with only herself as company. She had gone through a rough day of being picked on even though it was her first day of school, her optimism and friendly introduction hadn't pushed away the gossip surrounding her 'cursed' nature and so she was left alone. Rika however out of the blue popped up and cheered the poor girl up, although she had tried to help Rika move on like she did with all spirits, it seemed like Rika's job on earth wasn't yet done...or that's what she says anyway. Since that day the two were never separated, but then again that wasn't exactly a hard task as no one could see Rika.

"They will totally change you, c'mon they obviously want something from you..." Rika sighed, her head on Jin-hee's lap as she closed her eyes.

"Rika stop being so negative! I can finally get out of this place and meet the people in my head..." Jin-hee poked her friend in the cheek and let out a quiet giggle. "And anyway it's not like I'm leaving you, you're tagging along anyway."

At that moment Zhen, Jin-hee's aunt walked towards her, carrying a bag in one hand and a coffee in the other. With a sigh the woman ushered her niece to stand up, wiping off the small flecks of dust. "Jin-hee, what did I say about talking to your...friend in public?" Without even letting her reply she continued on "I brought you some things that might help keep you happy on the long flight, just some books. I also checked your flight number and you should be checking in around 5 minutes so I'll have to say goodbye now, don't forget to call me when you get there and please for the love of god don't let Rika take all your attention! I want you to meet those friends of yours, human friends, you hear me?"

Jin-hee smiled and without a word hugged her aunt. The only person who ever cared about her existence and happiness. Zhen blinked back the tears and pulled away first, keeping herself composed. "Don't worry Aunt, I'll be okay and yes I will call you, and yes I will make human friends...oh and thank you for the books!" With a last quick peek on her cheek Jin-hee grabbed her backpack and waved goodbye.

***

The flight was long, extremely excruciatingly long. Those 12 hours seemed to go by so slowly that Jin-hee thought it would just be easier to walk there than this. Teleportation would come useful at times like these She thought to herself with a smile. She looked over at the small window and watched as the clouds went by, it seemed as if they weren't even moving; just floating endlessly in the sky. Rika had disappeared once she had boarded the flight like she did randomly at times, she hoped that Rika would be able to join her quickly in California.

She sat next to an old woman who was taking a nap, perhaps having a pleasant dream by the smile she was presenting. With a small sigh Jin-hee tilted her head in time to spot a small lanky boy, leaning in so that his head rested on the shoulder of a young blonde woman. She wondered whether the spirit was a son or some other relative but it seemed that he was just happy.

Jin-hee looked over at the small screen in front of her and silently groaned at the time they still had left before they reached their destination. 9 hours. It seemed like sleeping was the only option for all those hours to go by and so that's exactly what she did.

***

The elderly woman had woke her up, offering a hard sweet as a small parting gift. Jin-hee thanked her kindly and popped the sweet into her mouth, the lemon sherbet flavour exploding into her mouth. As the plane landed and the pilot proceeded to let them know they could leave, she stood up, wobbling a little and grabbed her backpack from the overhead compartment. Saying a quiet thank you to the air hostesses who stood by the exit, Jin-hee made her way out of the plane and quickly tried to avoid the rush to grab her suitcases. She mumbled to herself about changing her watch's time while dealing with customs and finally with her suitcases placed securely onto the trolley and everything done, she made her way towards the main entrance.

Her name was the first thing she saw on a note card held by a man wearing what seemed like an expensive suit. Jin-hee looked around out of habit and made her way towards him, somewhat intimidated by his presence. This was all beginning to seem too real for her liking. Here she was in an unknown city where everyone seemed to be rushing, she herself felt like she had to move quickly just to catch up with everyone.

She bowed, "안녕하세요" she said awkwardly and bit her lip as if to stop herself from saying more. Jeez not even 10 minutes in and she messed up. It seemed like she forgot that speaking English would be necessary and she wasn't in Korea anymore. Before she could correct herself, the man greeted her and escorted her to an expensive looking car where she followed. Holding back a yawn she watched the scenery as he drove her to her new home for the time being.

Without even realizing the car stopped in front of a lovely large house. Jin-hee stepped out of the car and stood there for a few moments in awe at the size and architecture of the building and wondered how rich the owner must be to afford such a place. She felt a tap on her shoulder and with a laugh waved at Rika who stood beside her, looking impressed.

"I must say Jinny, maybe this experience will be better than I expected." Rika nodded over to the door. "Let's go then, we don't have all day!"

Jin-hee looked back at the car, surprised to see that her luggage had already been taken out, it seemed like the man didn't need help so she strolled towards the door, walking up the steps quickly and knocked on the door lightly. The butterflies in her stomach appearing for the first time since she left. It's okay Jin, nothing bad will happen, and who knows maybe you'll never want to go back home, she thought to herself nervously.

An attractive man was on the other side of the door and greeted her warmly. He seemed younger than she expected and with a warm smile he ushered her forward where she stood rather awkwardly. He introduced himself as Lucas Zetes and announced that Naomi and Tobi had already arrived and were upstairs. Jin-hee bit her lower lip at the prospect of meeting them for the first time but felt almost relieved that they were actually real and not just in her mind.

She looked back to see Lucas had disappeared and thought it was her cue to go upstairs. Rika seemed to have disappeared too, probably checking the place out which left her on her own. Jin-hee thought it would be wise if she put her backpack in her room before meeting the two and rushed upstairs, nearly tripping over a step. She was pleased to find that her room looked amazing and honestly too beautiful for someone like her to proclaim as her own. But that thought was for another time and so she gently put her belongings onto her bed, seeing her suitcases already there besides the door. Finally she could meet the two and without another second stepped outside to the corridor, walking along it to try and find them. Two voices from afar brought her to another beautiful room and with cry she walked in.

"Oh god so I'm not crazy!" she exclaimed happily.

Flynn groaned as his mother nagged him about the time. "Ma seriously now I won't be late!

His sisters on the other hand were too busy writing down all the things they wanted from California whilst his father stood there watching everything happen. Flynn grabbed his bag and made his way out of the living room, his mother of course following him with her continuous nagging. "I swear to god you will be the death of my Flynn, you left your passport on your desk upstairs!"

Rolling his eyes he simply thought about his passport and before his mother could saying anything else, the passport came flying out of his room, down the stairs and onto the palm of his hand. "Got it ma, stop your worrying, jeez I'm not a little kid anymore. He pushed the front door open and made his way towards the taxi, the driver looking annoyed as he huffed and made his way inside the car.

It took Flynn weeks of telling his mother that he'd be going to the airport alone and she didn't accept it right away. No they had to argue it out until his father stepped in and with a tired sigh announced that Flynn would make his own way there. Much to his mother's dismal she continued to pester Flynn until she gave up one morning and went crazy buying things for the trip. Things he really did not need in the first place.

"Wait a second, you forgot to kiss your old ma goodbye, seriously what will I do with you. This is the first time you moved so quickly in your whole life!" With a laugh she hugged her son, eyes brimming with tears.

"You better be calling us all the time otherwise ma will follow you to Cali!" Myra laughed, hugging her brother as well and handing him over a note scribbled with a list of items for him to buy. He rolled his eyes and rubbed his sister's head, her hair going crazy as she yelled him to stop.

"And what about you Cara, don't want anything?" He asked his older sister who stood there with a small smile. She only shook her head and hugged him tightly, whispering 'keep safe' and 'I'll miss you' into his ear. He stood back and watched his mother burst into tears and his sisters grinning happily at him.

Finally he looked over at his father who hardly ever showed direct affection. Breean gave a small nod and mouthed a 'I love you' much to Flynn's surprised and waved him off. He took the time to hug his mother again, reassuring her that he will phone all the time and that he won't be gone forever before getting into the taxi and waving goodbye to his family as the car drove away.

10 hours to get to California was definitely something Flynn was not looking forward to. That was 10 whole hours away from his gaming and also 10 whole hours of being beside a total stranger and probably having to communicate with people. The airplane food also wasn't the greatest thing ever and so it was very accurate to say he was dreading this part of the whole journey.
Flynn sighed as he went through customs and security, the whole thing was just such a pain and a bother to him. If only he could teleport himself to California, that would reduce the hassle of it all. But no he was stuck with his telepathic gift, but then again that was extremely useful to his lazy ways as well. Grabbing something bearable to eat was his first mission and with a coffee in hand he sat down, waiting for his flight to be ready. He tilted his head and saw a family of four by a cafe, the son seemed to be annoying his younger sister so he thought it would be fun to play with him. Concentrating on the toy that the son had obviously stolen from his sister, he began to move it so that it was floating right in front of him. It wasn't a surprise that the little boy stared at the toy with his wide eyes in horror and tried to take it. However the toy only moved higher and higher until it dropped onto the younger sister's lap. The boy ran to his mother who was busy on the phone and began to tell his crazy story about the floating toy although was ignored by his mother.

The announcement for the passengers to board the flight came about after 30 minutes. Flynn pushed himself up and lazily stretched, yawning as he grabbed his bag and passport. He made his way into the line and waited for his ticket and passport to get checked by the pretty brunette and with a smile boarded the plane.

Thankfully he seat was at the front where he had a lot of leg space. He was also sat next to a teenager who seemed in his angst stage where his scowl could probably kill someone. Flynn grabbed his iPod and put his earphones in, savouring the fact that the music drowned out the annoying sounds and voices in the plane. He closed his eyes and hoped that the 10 hours would fly by. And yes, he chuckled at his own pun.

***

The pilot's booming voice announced that they had safely arrived at California. Flynn remained seated as he let everyone else rush, grabbing their bags out of the overhead compartments and run out as if they had a time limit. Instead he watched as everyone departed and in his own time stood up, took his bag and made his way out, his earphones still in. He murmured to himself how his back ached from the nap and released yet another yawn. He wondered if he could just sleep once he got there but that would probably mess up his sleep schedule...not like he had one exactly.

The routine of going through customs and filling out forms was anything but fun and after what seemed like several hours to Flynn, he made his way out to the main entrance with his suitcases, glad to see that someone from the institution was waiting to pick him up. Having to get a taxi and find the address seemed troublesome but his ride seemed here before him, and he wondered how long the poor man was waiting for him for.

He gave Flynn a nod and they both walked to the car where Flynn tried hard to keep his eyes open but failed. He slept again for most of the journey and was woken up by the driver who told him they had arrived. Flynn who thought he should go grab his luggage was pushed kindly away and told to go straight in and with a shrug complied. "So this is it huh?" He thought to himself as he rubbed the back of his neck and strolled towards the front door, walking up the stairs 2 steps at a time. Flynn was about to knock on the door when it opened widely, a gust of warm air hitting his face. In front of him was a young man, too young for his liking but his smile seemed welcoming.

He gave Flynn a hug which caught him off guard and told him that the others were already here. With his hand resting on Flynn's shoulder he gave him directions to the room he would be staying at and announced that they would have time to get to know each other more with the group during dinner.

Flynn had almost forgotten that there were also other people who would be staying here but was more surprised to hear it was the people in his head, or rather the three that he was able to hear in his head for a while now. He wondered what they would look like and if their voices matched their appearance. He sluggishly made his way up the stairs and to his room, smiling at the fact that it was perfect for him. Dropping his things on the floor, he exited out of his room and followed the voices of the others.

Naomi let out a small yelp of surprise when Tobi picked her up in the hug, but she was honestly too surprised about the situation as a whole to even notice that tiny detail.

After he set her down, her blue eyes drank in the familiar boy with a very unfamiliar face, slightly cursing him for being so damn tall. She thought she'd escaped that part in Sweden, but he was basically the same height as her own brother. He at least had to be a foot taller then her. "Wait, did you know about this, I haven't been able to get a hold of you let alone anyone else for a while now," she pointed out, still trying to mentally sort out this weird puzzle. At this point, it was just explained as a coincidence all in all. She didn't even give Tobi a chance to reply, before continuing on her rambles as a sudden idea popped into her head. "You don't think the other people coming here would be Flynn or Jinny do yo-"

"Oh god so I'm not crazy!"

Naomi was suddenly caught off guard in her maunder by a voice so vaguely familiar it sent an odd shiver up her spine. Moving her head so she could look past the very tall boy in front of her, she made a small, barley audible gasp. "You might not be, but I think I am," Blue giggled slightly, before briskly moving over to the girl and clutching her hands in her own. "I was so scared something happened to you guys, I thought the connection broke off or something," she spoke softly, glancing back and forth between her and Tobi. She swore, it had to have been two or three weeks since she'd caught any sort of connection between them. She couldn't even sense them like she used to. Maybe it was just on her side, but still, it gave her quite a fright. It would have been like losing a part of her self, and she'd already lost too much family as it is. Quite frankly, she didn't know how she felt about them being here, and if she could guess, Flynn would pop up at any moment. I mean, of course she was happy she finally got to meet the people who had wandered in her head for so long, but now her nerves about the whole institute was on high alert. She wasn't very trusting of it to begin with, and if somehow someone knew about there connection that very idea freaked her out to her core. She didn't want it to be used, now did she want something bad to happen because of it.

"Nomi, I think your brother wants to talk to you," a voice interrupted her train of thought, and she glanced back over to Tobi, who held in his hand a now partially cracked-screened cell phone. Naomi let go of Jinnys hands in a split second and took the phone gently out of Tobi's hands before pressing it back to her ear. "Sorry, something odd just happened," she spoke a bit frantically into the phone to her brother. "Who was that just now?" He questioned curiously with a yawn, and Naomi gave one final glance to the two in her room before clearing her throat slightly saying, "I think you heard Tobias." She murmured back softly. Her brother knew about the people in her head. How he find out was as peculiar as what was occurring in front of her now. Slipping out her door to privately take the call, she began explaining to him about how Jinny and Tobi showed, but slammed right into the boy making his way down the hall, dropping her phone yet again. She really needed to stop just staring at her feet all the time.

    "I'm so sorry!"

Tobi tried sputtering some words out, but the tiny girl seemed to be in a state of pure shock that led her to be much more talkative then her usual normal self. He just kinda stood there looking and laughing at her, before turning around as her gaze suddenly got even larger.

"Well I'll be damned!" He stated, going over to give Jin a hug as well before Naomi grabbed her hands. He rolled his eyes, before looking behind him distractedly as he swore he heard a voice. For a second, he mistook it for the ones in his head, but realized that they were literally right in front of him so why the hell would they be in his head unless he was just listening to their thoughts, which, wasn't unusual. Too many times had he had one of the threes thoughts pop into his head with little to no context at all.

He frantically looked around, trying to pinpoint the exact spot the odd, deep seemingly fuzzy voice was coming from, before his brown eyes caught hold of a phone, face up and cracked in the corner. Now that he remembered, Blue dropped it in her shock. Picking it up, he held it and spoke into it a brief, "Hello?" just out of curiosity as to who it could be. "This isn't Naomi, who the hell is this?" A gruff voice replied back in turn. Well how blatant. "Who is this?" Tobias retorted back, not hearing the chittering Naomi was making in the background. "August. Seriously put Naomi back on the phone now," he said back blatantly as ever. "Ah, you're her twin brother!" Tobias laughed back, remembering that much from what she's told him before. He didn't wait for his reply to that, as he knew it would have just been as angry and as simply as his other statements, so instead he held it out back to the girl, saying simply "Nomi, I think your brother wants to talk to you."

She quickly bounded over to him and took it from his hands, so Tobi took the opportunity to go over to Jin, offering a big smile as he often did. "You must be Jin, I'm Tobias, also not crazy it seems," He introduced himself exuberantly, picking her up in a bear hug.

Jin-hee eyes widened as in front of her were the two people whose voices had always been in her head. Both Blue and Tobias were standing there in all their physical glory, she could actually see how they looked like rather than just their voices. It was Blue who had replied first and with a giggle clutched her hands. Jin relaxed significantly and with a huge smile she wanted to hug the girl. Oddly it was like coming home even though she had never meet these people before.

"I was so scared something happened to you guys, I thought the connection broke off or something,"

The girl nodded in agreement. It was completely random but the connection had somehow gotten cut of not too long ago which had never happened before. Even when they weren't communicating there was still this silent buzz at the back of her mind to let her know something was still there. But it was sudden and that buzz went away and no matter how hard Jin tried to communicate with the others, it no longer worked. Of course she didn't want to think about the worst case scenario if anything had happened to them that forced the connection to be cut, but it was a possibility that she could not ignore. Before she could say anything more Blue had to take a call which resulted her in having to leave the room. Jin-hee smiled as she left and turned around to face Tobias. Or rather look up at him because of his towering height.

"You must be Jin, I'm Tobias, also not crazy it seems,"

Jin returned the smile and was about to reply when she was picked up by him for a bear hug. Releasing a laugh she threw her arms around him and finally replied "Nice to finally meet you Tobi!" She waited for him to release her and with a wobble regained her balance quickly. From the corner of her eyes she spotted Rika laughing at the pair.

"Ooooh so this is Tobias huh? That Blue girl lived up to her name Jinny, Rika proceeded to walk up to the pair so she stood right beside Jin-Hee "Isn't he a handsome one, it's a shame I'm dead otherwise I wouldn't mind-

Jin-Hee quickly cut Rika off, "Jeez Rika good thing he can't hear you!". She rolled her eyes at her ghost friend before biting her lower lip, remembering that Tobias was still in front of her and she seemed to be talking to 'herself.'

Immortals || Fall Out Boy

Flynn was walking towards the voices but got distracted by the different rooms while he was walking along the corridor. It wouldn't do him any harm to take a quick look so he started to do a little mini exploration trip. It seemed that there were other bedrooms aside from his which wasn't much of a surprise. Because he didn't want to rudely intrude, he only walked into the extra rooms that didn't seem like bedrooms, rather each room was filled with it's own activity. He was surprised to see a beautifully decorated room with a pool table which he noted looked pretty much new. Flynn was excited to try it out and maybe if he was up for it get a little bit competitive with his fellow peers.

Flynn continued on spotting rooms that all had some sort of old age feel to it regardless of the new modern furniture. It seemed that the house was way bigger than he first thought and everything lead him to a whole new place. Of course this was only one of the many floors and he wondered whether the house had its own secret rooms which usually came with big old estates like this one. He almost got distracted in one of the libraries as he took a seat on the coach, yawning quietly.

A nap seemed like a perfect idea for him, especially since the jet lag was catching up with him. He slowly closed his eyes, but suddenly as if he had forgotten he had people to meet. Blinking away the sleepiness Flynn stood up and finally walked out of the room after a good 10 minutes and made his way back towards the main corridor where the bedrooms were. He strolled along it with his head in the clouds and the tiredness really making him oblivious to his surroundings. So when he bumped into someone, it wasn't much of a surprise.

"I'm so sorry!"

Flynn looked up to see a pretty girl with an all too familiar voice. He quickly picked up her phone and handed it over to her with a smile. "Blue...?"
