The Gods predate man. Their reign powerful, eternal and revered. But since the dawn of the Gods, there have always been those sworn to end Olympus. The golden throne, the seat of the righteous, king of the Gods, Zeus. It is the core of their world. Many seek to destroy it, dethrone Zeus and end the reign of the Gods.

Camp Athens, a safe place for demigods, children of the Gods. A place for them to live, grow and train. That was the intent. The demigods were never supposed to be the warriors for the Gods. Their parents wanted them to grow up safe from the world that threatens to end them. But the ruler of the Underworld, Hades, sought after the golden throne for himself, the demigods had no choice but to fight.

The campers faced many trials that tested them on levels far greater than they ever imaged. It was but the first day of the summer, demigods flooding into the camp, when a minotaur stormed its way through. A distraction while a son of Zeus, Ajax, was stabbed by an Underworld blade and poisoned. When things seemed to die down, it was only the quiet before the storm. Ajax was later taken prisoner by Hades, only set free when his soul was taken from him in exchange for a daughter of Hecate.

And all the while, when some of the most powerful demigods were nowhere to be found, the rest of the campers had to band together to take down their toughest foe… A Hydra. Then there was death… at the hands of a God and at the hands of a daughter of Zeus. It seemed, when at their weakest, Hades attacked.

The war. Something the demigods had been preparing for, but never thought would come. Giants and minions flooded their way onto the grounds of camp. The Gods stood side by side with their children in a fight for Olympus. It tested them more than anything had before… And in the end, they succeeded. But not without great loss. Wounded, weak and broken, the demigods came together victorious.

It’s been a year since that war. New demigods have found their way to the camp. The heroes of the war found ways to cope with their losses and train harder. Although the war is over, no one can rest. Something lurks in the distance, like a storm on the horizon. They don’t know what it is or when it will come… But they must be ready.

WIPs will not be accepted x / / x WIP tends to lead to people assuming they do not have to complete CS. So, due to that I will not accept a character until the CS is completely finished. It helps us and you to have a fully flushed out character before you post. Password 1 : Who was stabbed with an underworld blade?

Demigods x / / x There will only be two demigods per God. This keeps the number of characters at a balanced manageable level. Discussion could be made to potentially add another God, but we don't want to overload the RP. Also the deceased campers will remain, and prohibit the possibility of a new camper their place. Their life and death had significance in the first year of Camp Athens, and for other reasons it is necessary.

Reservations x / / x Reserving a character will be done through the OOC discussion board. All reservations must include the God/Goddess you intend as the parent, FC, how often you are online and average word count per post; along with the answers to the passwords. If you want more than one character you are welcome. But, if you would like to reserve both child of a single god you must ask. Depending on the circumstances it may not work for diversity's sake.

Character Guidelines x / / x Throughout the balancing of the characters, a good mix of male and female roles would be appreciated. That doesn't necessarily mean each God has a male and female child, but that throughout an even amount would help the RP be balanced. Ideally, FCs should look close to the age of your character. Abilities shall be taken from the provided list. If you are wanting your character to have an ability not listed, please contact me and we shall discuss it.

Inactivity x / / x Inactivity and ghosting is a plague in RPG. It seems people cannot stick to RPs for the life of them. I get it, life happens... It happens to all of us. But, we all want RPs to succeed. The first year of Camp Athens made it to the end, but by that day there was only 5 writers out of the numerous that were originally part of the RP. So, that being said, if life happens please just contact us and let us know, we are very understanding. If you're MIA from OOC, posting or PMs without explanation or word, we do reserve the right to write past your character if it's keeping us in limbo. I'd rather you back out of the RP versus disappearing. Password 2 : Which Demigods are deceased?

General Rules x / / x Violence, adult language and adult situations will happen so if you cannot handle that you may not want to join. I encourage romance, it’s fun and we all enjoy complicated romance stories. Kissing and what not is fine, but when this get handsy... or naked. Just fade to black, and have your characters imply it later or whatever. We have imaginations, plus site rules and stuff :p Don’t control someone else’s character without their ok, this includes their NPCs. Also this meant to be fun so please no OOC fighting. Any issues can be directed through me and I'll handle it :)

“I can't speak so I have other ways of talking. I am hoping to find my voice again though at this camp.”

“Like a military pledge?” she asked while Wes stuck to his true colours of Disney. Trinity chuckled at his comment. Finding your voice could be more than physical and literal. Likely the gentle Iliana meant it in a more metaphorical or symbolic way. Trinity wanted none of that quest and riddle nonsense, but good for her. “Here’s hoping you find it.”

The fragile thing wrote about her parentage and suggested Trinity could help her. If she was already emotionally unstable, help from an Ares kid is the last thing she needed. Trinity could give Iliana rage to smack a bitch but she wasn't patient or a trainer on helping others control their power. That was more Wes's field or Duke's...Ajax's.

Trinity picked up the beer again. Iliana didn’t expect Wes to become accompanied by a daughter of Ares and clearly she wasn’t the most comfortable, hiding behind Wes to avoid Trinity’s fiery gaze. She had half a mind to mention he wouldn’t be able to protect her from her, but a false sense of security is what people needed now and then. Not to mention she had so many concerns for somebody who can't speak. How were they to know when she was in trouble?

Not long after, Daniel or the guy like him approached. “Howdy folks. How we doing? Uh, question slash favor, Wesley.” God, this new guy is a douche.

“One, I'm gonna need some love and or dating updates because I am super confused.” He sat on the other side of Wes. Trinity frowned but turned towards Wes also willing to get the updates. More to see his powers in action and hear his love radar/opinions than actually care for who wanted to bang who. Genuine feelings rarely existed.“Like, do Slenderman and red have a thing, do Alex and 'Pete' have a thing? I'm super behind in the goss. And, uh two, if I had to do a Freddy Krueger conjuration, who would fare better between these two lovely ladies?”

Something switched on in Trinity then. It wasn't rage related either. “Hi, by the way. Good to see you too.” Daniel said followed by a nudge. He then tried to play half innocent with Iliana.

What the hell? Andy appeared by his side. “I'm guessing he didn't tell you, that he's 'back.' He's not very good at the whole easing people into letting them know it's him,” Andy said.

With the confirmation there, she pushed Daniel behind Wes's back, though her limbs struggled to make the distance, she was sure to get her shove in and use Wes as a brace to keep her balance. “You're an ass. You could have said something earlier.” She huffed out and shook her head. As per usual, she was the last to know shit.

He carried on without missing a beat talking to Wes about his arm. Trinity took the moment to look back to Iliana. “That's Hecate's son. We call him Daniel but gods know these days. He has a weird thing for conjuring horror icons or killer creatures just in case you hear any bumps in the night.”

Trinity then looked at Andy and smiled tightly. Call her crazy but she didn't seem 100% happy to have Dan back.

She had another sip when she overheard the boys. “I was going to borrow your girlfriend for a dance but I understand if you'd be intimidated. I'm no son of Aphrodite but the charm's there when we're dancing. If you don't go all Magic Mike in front of these girls, there's a chance somebody else will.”

They were literally one person away. Trinity rose a brow. “Has anyone ever told you that you talk... a lot?” Trinity smiled a little. Yeah, the guy was relentless but he probably just missed being a camp nuisance. “And if you want to dance with Trinity, then ask her.” Trinity returned his smile although the moment his eyes were elsewhere it dropped.

So Wes wouldn't dance with her? Trinity wasn't a dancer or the first to jump on the dancefloor or piece of sand or whatever but sometimes it really was the thought that counted. Which was absolutely fucking pathetic. Trinity knocked down her drink for even having the thought. “Yeah,” he continued with a laugh. “There's only one person I'd strip for and that's a private show.”

She drew the bottle away from her lips to drop off a comment of her own. “Iliana's a lucky girl.” Trinity took another swig with a smirk looking at Wes. “Since when have you turned all a private showman, anyway? You got nothing to hide.” Trinity tapped his abs that she had seen on an occasion or two. He was packing some good stuff under those clothes and never been shy about showing his body before. And if anyone were going to go all stripper in this joint, it'd be Wes.

The bottle automatically came to her lips. Again, she had to draw away for a breath. She swirled around the alcoholic content before looking to Daniel. “Not at the moment, Daniel, sorry,” she said in case he did actually ask to her face if she wanted to dance. “You know I'm just afraid we'll dance and I'll fall hard and fast for you.”

She got to her feet once more and stretched out which lifted her top slightly in turn as somebody decided to untuck her. She perched a foot on the log instead, leaning on her leg with her arms crossed over her knee looking at Wes expectantly. Trinity loved the potential of his powers but it didn't look like he wanted to play love doctor today or show pony.

Hades | HEX: #05105E | Outfit

ImageEve wormed her way towards him although he kept his eyes on the fire after seeing her become man handled by both Ares kids. They treated her like a doll but in different ways. Trinity was more crash test dummy and Liam's was a blow up. Even when Liam already had a dark-haired doll glued to his side or he glued himself to her side...either way. That was almost a shame because Sloane seemed decent. And Eve and Mason were supposed to be playthings. Actually, as rumor went, boyfriend and girlfriend.

“You know you’re allowed to approach me first? I was kidding about the getting attached thing.” Mason finally lifted his gaze to her in time to catch that devious smirk and shrug. “Mostly.”

Like her, he shrugged. "I don't want to be too clingy. I know you of all ladies like your freedom to roam and torment. Besides, being able to call the insatiable Eve over with a look...that's a gift." Mason smirked. She was the furthest thing from predictable though.

She downed half her drink in one go and Mason watched her glance over her shoulder and sigh. What could be the cause of such annoyance and exasperation to the dear Eve. Not many other people were in the direction of Andy and Evelyn. Her reaction made him smile though by the time she turned back to him, he looked serious again. "Something bothering you?"

Eve didn't let herself get bothered with his question. Instead, she gave another devilish grin, touched him and rose on her tip toes. “I think you might be the one most in danger of trying to poke the bear.” He huffed out a sigh torn between amusement and annoyance. “Do you get it?”

"I think I get it, yeah," he responded mostly so she could shut it. Avoiding it or denying the joke would only drag it on, no matter how delighted she was in the innuendo. "But I actually know how to keep my poking under control." Or at least poke the right bear but he wasn't going to give Eve any more openings for innuendos and dirty talk.

“So, I have a question for you. With your dad, you know. Do you have to go to the underworld to step in?” Eve said and Mason rolled his eyes. Why couldn't they just make out more or have sex again? That kept her quiet or stopped her from talking and asking questions anyway. But then he realized he didn't feel a buzz or fight to answer her. Did she ask something without using her powers for once?

Mason turned her face towards him. Of all his allies, he wasn't having Eve looking in that shitty Valis direction. He didn't want their attention and for now they were perfect in the background of this party. "Maybe. Now and then, probably," he told her lowly and ran a hand down her torso. Whatever in the hell she was wearing he liked it, making her body appeal to the eyes but remain out of bare touch. Plus, he had a thing for her curves.

Before he could ask why she was asking, Eve picked up, “And then follow up question.” Mason waited for her to spit it out before noticing her ridiculous though somehow cute and ironic coy girl act, winding a lock of hair around her finger, looking at him through her lashes. “Can I come with you?”

Mason chuckled drawing her closer to him so he could speak to her lowly. "I've never said no to a girl coming before," he smirked and rose a suggestive brow then continued with the joking. "You see Eve, when a man and woman love each other very much and they have lots of practice with each other, they can sometimes sync their orga- " he broke off and chuckled. Eve definitely didn't need sex education. "We can keep practicing. Even spoon for a bit, fall asleep for a couple hours." Again, he was just lucky it was Eve he had sex with and not some other demigod complaining about his after-sex manners last night.

As hot and suggestive as Eve was and could be, he figured she probably wouldn't mind an actual answer in this scenario. "I was thinking I've got to start searching for a queen of the Underworld. You wanna be it?" Mason kissed her hand in mock chivalry then grinned. "You want to come and see the land of the dead, where it's hot and cold at the same time, and it's dark and miserable? You've really been missing out. Not many girls want a tour of the Underworld."

Mason looked Eve over, scrutinizing her. "Why would you want to go to the Underworld when you love it here far too much?" Not the camp itself but the men of camp. Eve definitely didn't shy away from the prospects and opportunity of messing with demigods. Tormenting the deceased as well probably wasn't beyond her. Maybe an ex-partner or something, who knew with the blonde devil.

Mason's eyes found Andy again with a new group. He brushed aside Eve's hair, revealing her ear that he whispered into. "You're such a heartbreaker, baby." Mason nibbled her earlobe. He just wanted her tight body to be his a little longer and her not to get stabbed or beaten up yet. "At least tell me I'm your favorite," he said as if seeking approval, followed by a smirk against her skin. He then dipped his head lower and kissed her neck as any boyfriend would to their promiscuous girlfriend that wanted to hear the right answer.

Even the big lumbering idiot known as Liam knew what that thin smile and wordless departure meant. Especially following flirtation with another woman. He did not know a lot about Sloane, but he knew enough about women to conclude that he royaly screwed himself just now. After he quietly observed her departure, offering nothing - not even a wave or anything, his eyes turned to the blonde that seemed to enjoy weaving a little chaos. He wasn't mad at her, of course. He was the dumb one that fell for a pair of boobs over the brunette he's been slowly, but surely, unknowingly working on winning over.

It was that thought that caused his thumb and index finger to pinch the bridge of his nose; his jaw clenching and eyes closed. No one at this camp could be more of a failure right now than him. His thoughts drifted back to the fact that she had not long ago held onto his hand for more than five seconds, sought him for protection from her brother, and once she kissed his cheek. Yes, he remembered those little moments when Eve wasn't there flaunting her goodies for his stupid man brain.

All the while he had internally rationalized that she was pushing him away to justify flirting. He was just a lousy guy that had a really hard time with individuals like Sloane; women that needed something else.

For a long time, he stood at the table like the big dumb idiot he was, wondering what he was going to say to her. An apology wasn't going to be good enough. Hell, he doesn't remember the last time he cared about someone saying sorry to him. He wanted to do the things he did. He never did anything unintentionally. He wasn't that type. He surveyed the campers that were still left behind and decided that maybe it would be best that he did not play the game. He wasn't going to lie and pretend that his frustrations weren't giving him half the mind to snatch up Eve, but he was prepared to put down the shovel and not continue to dig the grave of whatever was budding between him and Sloane so soon.

Whatever it was.

He snatched the whiskey bottle from the table. Everyone was nursing beers save for Sylas, and well - fuck him anyway. He took a long swig of it as he turned around to depart. He thought that he had given Sloane plenty of time to seethe a little bit, and hoped that maybe - just maybe if he came to her without a certain hot blonde by his side, she'd be more forgiving.

The walk through the dark was intentionally slow, and he nursed that bottle just because he couldn't put his thoughts together in a way that made any sense to him. If he couldn't make sense of it, she wouldn't, either. The concept of conscious-stricken was foreign, so he had to work through whatever he was feeling at the moment. Unfortunately, he didn't know what it was, and he didn't have anyone to help him out. He thought his dad was a dick, Trinity already can't stand him, and Wes was glued to her side anyway. He spent the majority of his trek talking to himself and scoffing at the ridiculous nature of words that had never been part of his lexicon until now.

He was going to screw up his words regardless. He knew it. Liam had no tact in the delivery.

He stopped at a distance from his cabin; the dim porch light spotlighting the dark silhouette of the petite brunette and Rocco. He could barely see her, but he smiled anyway. Give her enough time and the puppy will start giving her more attention and leave Liam behind. He tracked the pouncing pup for a few seconds before his eyes landed on Sloane, peering across the distance at her solitary figure perched on the step. A deep sigh fell from his lips because he was going to have to go over there, and the man that hand courage in seeming abundance had none right now.

He stepped forward, his movement loud as shoes crunched dried leaves and snapped small twigs. He gave Rocco a quick pat when his attention was sought, but even the dog knew that Liam had been an asshole - the little traitor. Regardless, he helped himself onto the steps and plopped his ass unceremoniously next to Sloane; hip-to-hip, no personal space regarded. The bottle had been set away off to the left, and he assumed a slight lean forward with elbows propped against his knees and one of his palms covering the other that was in a lax fist.

He didn't say anything for a long time, much less look over in her direction. The two of them sat in the quiet; the pup gently growling, the winds barely whispering through the foliage. Truth be told, he just didn't know what to say or how to say it. He didn't know what she wanted, or even what he wanted. All he knew was that he felt bad, and that was the understatement of the year, really. But to put all of that into words? He didn't know. He was scared of saying all the wrong things, and he didn't want to upset Sloane anymore than he had.

Liam unhooked his hands from one another and pulled the leash away from her. Rocco wouldn't roam very far, and he was more than happy to go off and run like crazy. He'd sleep much better with all of that energy released anyway!

All of the words - if there had been any in there anyway - had dissipated utterly. He didn't know what to say, but maybe he knew what to do. The worse that can happen is that she yells at him after, or even just leaves entirely. There was nothing to be afraid of. He thought he could handle rejection pretty well. Then again, he couldn't handle her walking wordlessly away from him - so maybe not. He turned a bit toward her, leaned in, and reached so that his palms grasped either side of her face. He tugged her in close, and himself, and finally kissed her. Gods know he had so many opportunities, but now seemed as good as any.

It was no gentle lip-to-lip action. Liam was firm; his fingers had inched their way to the nape of her neck so that she couldn't really escape it. He didn't press himself up against her or slip her any tongue - it was just simple, yet still as primal as any other urge. But he just as soon as withdrew since he didn't want to force her to bear it for longer than a few seconds. However, they had been a few seconds steep with all of his unspoken apologies, feelings - all of that crap that he'd sooner die than admit to.

He let her go completely and pulled himself up to stand, the whiskey bottle in tow. He turned around and made for the door, stopping just as one of his feet was about to cross the threshold. He gently slapped at the doorframe, "I can see if Trinity will let you stay with her if you want to be away from me. I just -" he paused since he knew what he wanted to say but didn't all at once. "I don't know how to be anything but what I am. I'm... probably going to fuck up a lot. I always fuck up. So, maybe Trinity would be a better cabin mate. You can both talk about what a dumbass I am together."

That said, he finally stepped fully into the cabin. He didn't close the door because he wasn't trying to shut her out, but she'd hear the door slam to his own room. He's not mad at her, of course. The night was pretty much over for him.

“I saw you not long had a spin and it landed on Sylas. Was that fun for you? It must've been some meeting.”

Sylas being brought up then reminded Heath of something. Sylas and Evelyn had been speaking with each other when he arrived at the party that evening. Nelly had remembered that also. It was a good thing she had an excellent memory.

"It was interesting to say the least. He touched me at times, but I found it to be very ticklish. Heck I don't think I even played the game right because he then backed off. I know I am a talker, so maybe I talked too much. It wouldn't surprise me if I bored him though." Nelly replied, a look for hurt on her face.

She never wanted to be boring and the idea that she might have bored someone didn't sit well with her. Not wanting to dwell on it though, she turned back to Evelyn.

"He mentioned he was Nemesis's son though and implied that it wasn't luck that the bottle landed on him. Now whether or not he was lying is another question. I am very curious to find out what kind of person he's like because he's very secretive."

There she goes again, saying things at the top of her head in front of strangers. She was really bad at keeping her mouth shut, but she didn't show any reaction to her social blunder. However, these people seemed okay, especially if Heath was Athena's son.

Nelly's words had Ethan and Heath share a look. Heath knew one of the abilities Nemesis was good was casting blessings and curses. For some reason though, Heath couldn't picture Sylas being Nemesis's son, for one major reason- if the bottle had been cursed, it would have landed on someone people didn't like, but if it was blessed, it would add up to why it landed on people others were on good terms with. However, Nelly was a wild card, and a new arrival. Why she would want to spend time with Sylas, Heath just couldn't figure it out.

Soon Evelyn turned back to Ethan and says, “That makes you the odd one out. If you could choose, which demigod would you be stuck in your nightmare with? I would hunch either Heath here as you seem close. Or a child of Apollo to try to bring some light in there at least.”

That made Ethan think a bit.

"It would be less of a nightmare if the closet was bigger. Hmm, think if I asked Andy nicely, she'd allow me to expand her closet more? But to answer your question, Evelyn, yeah Heath or his adopted sister would be the most likely options since I know them the best. But I am like Nelly here too in the sense that I want to meet as many campers as possible. You have yet to be in the closet yourself, so I'd probably would want it to be you too since you haven't played yet. Or are you even interested in playing those kind of games?"

Ethan already thought Evelyn liked playing mind games, with what she had said to Heath prior to Nelly showing up. Heath had remember her words too and would eventually answer her question about his 'politeness'. She definitely had some intellect, especially when she asked what they valued. She was honest about valuing knowledge. Before he could answer though, Nelly spoke up.

"Oh! I value my independence the most. I hate feeling caged in."

Heath grinned at her before turning to Evelyn and replying, "If we're talking about tangible things, it be myself and my friends and family. Intangible, it's a tie between balance and the truth. Also, you mentioned I was either lying myself or being fake with my formalities. I hate lying so I didn't lie, but I was automatic in my delivery of saying 'nice to meet you'. You want my honest thoughts Evelyn? I personally don't like it when you accuse me of lying when you yourself lied about Hera being your mother. And I wonder why you did it to begin with. Was it to test if I had my mother's skills? While I do have my mother's skill for picking up lies, I am no where near as experienced as she is."

Wanting to help his friend out, Ethan spoke up too.

"Uh, Evelyn, I am to blame for Heath being polite. I was raised in the Southern US and manners have been drilled into me since I can remember so I've been trying to get Heath to be polite more. It never occurred to me that someone might find politeness offensive."

Nelly just watches their banter in fascination. She had seen that Sloane and the muscled guy she had been with leave. Well, so much for her original plan. She'd find out about Sylas sooner or later.

Wesley told her not to worry about her friend that much. Easier said then done. Looked like Cherise was right about one thing, Iliana did get concern about others too much. But that was one aspect of her she doubt would ever change because of the fact that she was empathetic. His SOS comment almost got a smile out of her, but her eyes did light up a bit. His next comment after she told Trinity about her muteness confused her a lot. Sea witch? It never occurred to her that he was referencing a Disney movie. People would be shocked to know that she never watched movies. She was too 'old fashion'. If she wasn't outside, she was either training or reading. She actually had a bit of a culture shock when she first went to college. Thankfully, Trinity telling her she hoped she found her voice though had Iliana turning back and nodding.

Before Trinity could say anything about her question, Keith shows up and started saying things that take Iliana aback. He was talking too fast for her to get everything, but the things he did say confused her as much as before when he talked with Heath. Then Andy showed up and seemed to explain things, at least to Trinity and Wesley for their feelings of confusion were soon replaced by others. Try as she might, she was still confused, so much so she didn't know she had been brought up a few times. How could 'Daniel' be back? Now she wished she knew how Daniel wasn't Keith anymore. Maybe she should ask Cherise to see if she knew since the two of them had been in the closet. She could always ask Heath to see if he found out anything. She could just ask the people here though. Wanting get some kind of answer before there was anymore dancing, she let out a shrill whistle to get the four people's attention, meaning Trinity, Wes, Daniel, and Andy. Seeing them looking at her, she wrote down her words quickly.

~Can someone please explain to me what the deal is with this Daniel here? I thought his name was Keith? Was that a lie? What do you mean he's back? I am sorry, I am just so confused right now and it's driving me nuts here.~

The shower, as one would expect, was shamelessly lengthy and wasteful. Artemis' daughter was making quick work of taking control, but she did share if Pete was so inclined to get in a little himself. Though, it was not much. He would learn quite quickly that control was something she found hard to let go of, so the ball was vastly in her court. At the very least, she'd not make it unbearable for him. The frisky woman knew what she was doing, how, and when certain things were appropriate. She didn't have many boundaries, either. She wanted to get to the fulfillment of pleasure, and that was all. If he got there, too, then great.

When all was said and done, she'd wiggle into something lacy and thin. One could barely call it sleepwear, really. Since he was staying the night, she attempted to put aside her nightly rituals. It was hard. Rae wanted to just lay down, read a book, put up some decor that she's been leaving for another day. Instead, she made herself do the important things - check the windows, close the curtains. The redhead wandered through the quaint cabin to ensure that all was secure - and yes, she totally locked Pete in. It wasn't her fault, really. She had a few phobias, and one of them was a lack of security in an unfamiliar place. She hated falling sleep in a place she didn't know. It was unnerving - utterly.

To say that she dragged Pete to the cabin just for sex wouldn't be entirely false, but a bit unfair. Then again, no one actually knew her and she wouldn't admit to being a total nutcase. His thoughts on why he was here didn't bother her, and the opinions of other people certainly had no effect. The carnal delight was a surface necessity that masked a not-so-obvious desire to have someone with her in a new place. Typically, that would be a task that falls onto Cherise, but Hera's son would suffice. The shower fun was just an advantage of the company.

He wasn't a six-foot five stud, but he was cute in that way that carried an air of mystery in all of his aloofness. He wasn't going to give her many issues, and thus far, appeared to have no shame in leaving with her. He also didn't seem to mind that she was a tad domineering and a little obsessive.

Rae didn't speak to him at all whilst prepping to sleep. He didn't talk much and she didn't want to bother him with her overly verbal nature when he only returned a word or two. Whatever he had occupied himself with in the meantime, she didn't care. There wasn't much to do anyway.

Eventually, she was standing at the edge of the bed as if something had been missed entirely. Large eyes peer down at him and her lips sort of purse in thought. She chewed anxiously on the bottom of her lip and finally spoke, "Wake me up if you leave while I am sleeping. Won't you? I just -" she paused at that and tilted her head. "I'm not going to stop you, of course. I just... need to know." She made an attempt at a small smile, but she knew how she sounded - like a really weird chick. What could she say? Major control issues.

That said, she crawled herself into bed and slipped under the covers. Rae waited until he was comfortable, or least looked it, and unabashedly sought him out for some pretty intensive cuddling. If he thought he was going to slip away easily, then he might have a hard time. The physical contact is an extra layer of security. Not that she knew Pete from anyone else in camp. Maybe it was something in the realm of if someone came in while she was sleeping, he'd theoretically defend her.

Theoretically. Hell, she would also totally sacrifice him to save herself.

Regardless, she liked it and she generally did what she wanted. Pete was free to never come back to her cabin again if the cuddling was unbearable. Not that cuddling could ever actually be bad.

“It was interesting to say the least. He touched me at times, but I found it to be very ticklish. Heck I don't think I even played the game right because he then backed off. I know I am a talker, so maybe I talked too much. It wouldn't surprise me if I bored him though.”

For a millisecond she feared for once she’d get too much information but the story took a turn supposedly due to Nelly’s nature. She looked hurt at the notion that she could have bored him and the touching didn't continue. Evelyn wanted to offer a slice of advice being not to get too caught up in what others made of her but stayed silent instead.

“He mentioned he was Nemesis's son though and implied that it wasn't luck that the bottle landed on him. Now whether or not he was lying is another question. I am very curious to find out what kind of person he's like because he's very secretive.”

Evelyn smiled despite herself. Nemesis's son, quick to hint the bottle has a blessing upon it and catching the curiosity of Nelly. “Do tell me when you figure it out.” Evelyn gestured in Sylas's direction. “You could always reapproach him for more talking and...touching.” The solution really was that simple for Nelly. Particularly in the event of her being so disheartened.

Their conversation went onward. “It would be less of a nightmare if the closet was bigger. Hmm, think if I asked Andy nicely, she'd allow me to expand her closet more? But to answer your question, Evelyn, yeah Heath or his adopted sister would be the most likely options since I know them the best. You have yet to be in the closet yourself, so I'd probably would want it to be you too since you haven't played yet. Or are you even interested in playing those kind of games?”

Taking a page out of Eve's book, Evelyn smiled through the unfavourable insinuation and touched Ethan's arm. “I appreciate the pity inclusion. There are other games I'm typically more invested in, but this one has managed to hold my attention,” she told him. “Add the right partner, I'm very interested in these kind of games.” What convenience this game did have a bottle that made sure it was the right partner for one reason or another.

Once again, they were able to move past the game talk and challenging. Thanks to herself and some real soul searching.
“Oh! I value my independence the most. I hate feeling caged in.”

Nelly's answer managed to prompt a smile out of Heath before he turned to her suddenly serious again. “If we're talking about tangible things, it be myself and my friends and family. Intangible, it's a tie between balance and the truth. Also, you mentioned I was either lying myself or being fake with my formalities. I hate lying so I didn't lie, but I was automatic in my delivery of saying 'nice to meet you'. You want my honest thoughts Evelyn? While I do have my mother's skill for picking up lies, I am no where near as experienced as she is.”

She crossed her arms and stepped towards Heath. So he did have some nerves and buttons to push.

“Uh, Evelyn, I am to blame for Heath being polite. I was raised in the Southern US and manners have been drilled into me since I can remember so I've been trying to get Heath to be polite more. It never occurred to me that someone might find politeness offensive.”

Evelyn removed her eyes from the target to replace them on Ethan. She wished they didn't tag team or talk for one another, yet she found herself smiling sweetly at him. “I don't blame you, Ethan. The politeness isn't what I mind.” She looked back at Athena’s son. “It's how void it is. We're already at a time and age where words are meaningless to some. I guess I expected...better from you.” Evelyn shrugged and backed away. “Maybe I said a few things to acquaint myself with your abilities,” she confessed. “But it was by no means a waste of time on my account. I could say I'm sorry if you feel differently for having your powers exercised but...” she trailed off. As they discussed, they both preferred honesty and truthful statements, and she wasn't sorry.

“This official meet and greet has been interesting.” She smiled and returned to the shoreline where she sat. Nobody to challenge or interrogate there just the simplicity of water and sand. A little wind-down moment would be perfect and well-earned.

Image Daniel rose a brow waiting for an answer that never came. Apparently his questions though pretty straight forward confused the likes of Wes. Aphrodite's son had zero gossip to share. He needed a sister in camp.

"I'm guessing he didn't tell you, that he's 'back,'" Andy said. She patted his back and her smile accompanied so many messages. "He's not very good at the whole easing people into letting them know it's him."

Trinity reached around Wes and shoved him causing him to cackle.

As they all knew, he was a quick recoverer and keen to catch up with Wes. "Has anyone ever told you that you talk... a lot?" he replied. Andy laughed and Daniel smiled. "And if you want to dance with Trinity, then ask her." Daniel pursed his lips. He gave the guy a perfect opening to take the blonde away and woo her and he blew it. "Yeah," Wes added with a laugh. "There's only one person I'd strip for and that's a private show."

Daniel nodded rapidly. He completely believed that too.

“Iliana's a lucky girl.” Trinity beat him to a retort. “Since when have you turned all a private showman, anyway? You got nothing to hide.”

The woman had half a point. And was out drinking them all under a table. Just as he peered around to her, she answered. “Not at the moment, Daniel, sorry. You know I'm just afraid we'll dance and I'll fall hard and fast for you.”

He tapped over his heart and bowed his head forgivingly. "I understand." The whole heartbroken but soldier act let Daniel see Mason and the blonde he had met earlier. Even his buddy had a girlfriend now or hook up gal. Nobody thought that was different or worth explaining? Then again Andy didn't even tell him Ajax and she broke up. Theo was right, the camp sucked now. Nobody knew how to answer questions or endure a party it seemed.

Before he could question, again, what was going on, the quiet one released a shrill whistle. Can someone please explain to me what the deal is with this Daniel here? I thought his name was Keith? Was that a lie? What do you mean he's back? I am sorry, I am just so confused right now and it's driving me nuts here.

He sighed out. While a fair group of people were around he might as well have addressed the elephant on the beach but the brief version, no throwing rocks at people or Gods. "Think of it as a split personality. Keith was here, now he's not," he told her. Daniel looked at the seasoned campers and clapped his hands together. Still not a good enough explanation he was willing to bet. But he didn't want to talk death at a beach party. Why couldn't he just enjoy himself for a day?

"Forgive me for not wanting to waste time now I'm finally me again. I think as a rule...as hard and confusing as it is on all of you...until another identity is implanted in your minds, you don't talk about how I should behave. Or, how nuts it drives you guys." He smiled sarcastically. Daniel didn't doubt it was hard for Andy and confusing for others. But screw easing into his own skin again for his peers' benefit. How was he supposed to ease people into it anyway? Say he was Daniel 50 times and actually an extrovert?

That was as serious as Daniel was going to get on the topic for now. But Keith and Daniel, very different guys. If his fellow camp buddies were smarter or more adaptable, it wouldn't be a problem. Evelyn took it like a trooper, Cherise accepted it, Mason and Alex were even welcoming of it. Why couldn't the rest just be happy and live in the moment? Daniel rubbed his head and walked away from the group. "See you later," he mumbled as he left.

Sloane didn't move much beyond a deep breath every so often, or when Rocco tugged on the leash just enough to nudge her. The breeze was cool, blowing her brunette locks about her face, more unkept than she normally allows herself to be. Her gaze hadn't seemed to shift from a particular speck of dirt between her feet that seemed to stand out compared to the hundreds around it. All the while her right legged bounce in an anxious sort of way as she chewed on her bottom lip.

She didn't notice Liam approach. She should have. Liam wasn't particularly quiet, if anything it was like he was intentionally trying to make his presence known. But even with that, his large lumbering body coming into her peripherals made her jump slightly. Sloane instantly tensed, her back becoming erect as her grasp on Rocco's leash tightened. Her bottom lip slowly slipped from its place between her teeth. She watched him give the dog a pat on the head but that didn't hold his attention for long.

Liam flopped down on the step beside her, not giving her any sense of personal space. Sloane would have scooted over if it wasn't for the fact that her other side was already against the railing. So, there she sat, pinned, hip to hip with Liam. She didn't dare glance over at him. Part of her, deep down inside, couldn't help but feel a little relief that he returned alone. She didn't know why and as much as her curiosity consumed her, she didn't ask. Silence seemed more tolerable than whatever answer she could hear. The odds didn't seem in her favor when it came to an amiable reply.

If silence could make someone go deaf, then Sloane's ears would have bled. It was like everything was amplified. Time seemed unmoving. The tension between them was different, not like it ever was before. If they had made any progress forward with their friendship... or whatever, it had reverted nearly to ground zero within a mere moment. Liam took the leash from her grasp and let the pup run free, leaving her palms open absent the item they once held. With a soft sigh, she gently pinned her hands between her knees, letting her gaze fall slightly.

Out of the corner of her eye she saw Liam shift to look over at her. Part of Sloane wanted to meet his gaze. Instead, she didn't move, her eyes frozen on a spot on the ground. It was only when he began to lean in toward her that her head turned in his direction. There wasn't much of an opportunity to question him and barely give a confused expression before his massive hands cupped her face. She wanted to look away, but Liam wouldn't let her. The eye contact made her pulse race and her cheeks flush. He then pulled her closer. Her hands instinctually pressed against his chest but it didn't stop him from closing the distance between them.

And then... he kissed her.

Sloane knew that she was supposed to close her eyes, maybe even cup his face with her own hands. But she froze, her eyes wide with her hands still pressed against his chest. It wasn't a tender kiss like something someone naive like her would have imagined that was often seen in Hallmark or Disney movies. It was... intense. He kept her close, moving his hand to the back of her neck to keep her where he had her. She didn't know how to react or what to do. Her body was tense and trembled from the contact. And it seemed just when she managed to close her eyes and attempt to reciprocate in anyway, Liam pulled away.

As he stood, Sloane remained where he left her. She stared blankly where Liam had once sat, her hands still outstretched as if he remained, yet her fingers trembled with nothing to hold them still. She tried to catch her breath and let the passing events digest as he walked away. What in the hell just happened? The last moment she saw him, Liam was grabbing a blonde by the mane and fantasizing about her naked body. Yet here he was, without said woman and he kissed her. What she'd give for the ability to read minds. And although it would only take a touch to make him divulge whatever was snaking around in that head of his, she wouldn't do that.

A slap on the door frame caught her attention enough for her hands to finally fall to her lap. "I can see if Trinity will let you stay with her if you want to be away from me. I just -" Sloane inhaled sharply but couldn't bring herself to say anything. This was the end of the line apparently. A good bye kiss perhaps? She tried her best not to let the mix of emotions that churned inside her show on her face as she turned to face back out toward the woods. For a brief moment she had someone who actually seemed to care about what happened to her. A friend. Maybe more. But all good things come to an end...

"I don't know how to be anything but what I am. I'm... probably going to fuck up a lot. I always fuck up. So, maybe Trinity would be a better cabin mate. You can both talk about what a dumbass I am together."

She looked back toward him, watching his back disappear into the cabin. When he reached his bedroom, he slammed the door shut behind him causing her to jump. Sloane sighed softly and tugged at the hem of her skirt. She quickly lost track of how long she sat there in the silence until a wet nose nudged her calf. Rocco sat at her feet with the leash in his mouth, expectantly wagging his tail. With one last deep breath, she pushed off her knees and stood.

The climb up the stairs was slow. She was confused... about it all. The past day had been a whirlwind and left everything she knew on its head. It seemed for a small amount of time when she was with Liam her shell was slowly opening. She felt things she didn't know she could, became a little stronger... Or so she thought. But guys were confusing. He was confusing. And she was stupid for letting herself get wrapped up in whatever was going on there. The presence of Eve only seemed to bring out the harsh truth of it all. That Sloane was Sloane and Liam was something else entirely.

She waited just inside the cabin letting the pup run in before she closed the door. Instinctually, she locked it behind her, the fear of her brother still plagued her mind, even when other thoughts took precedence. Sloane sighed, lightly tapping her index finger on the counter beside her. She gave one last bump of her knuckles on the wood and stepped further into the room. She turned to see Rocco whining and scratching at Liam's bedroom door begging for entrance. Sloane pursed her lips, staring at the animal and the closed door. Her head fell as she tapped her toes. With a deep sigh, she finally trudged across the room. "Hold on," she whispered to dog as she squatted down beside him.

Her fingers gently stroked the soft grey fur before unhooking the leash from his collar. Sloane's hand then hesitated by the door knob. She couldn't avoid him forever, even though the pit in her stomach only seemed to grow as her fingers brushed the cool metal. It was obvious he didn't want to speak with her. She exhaled softly and opened the door just enough for the puppy to bolt into the room after his owner. "He wanted you," she said into the void softly, but she was certain where ever Liam was inside, he heard her. "I... I can leave in the morning," she concluded, her voice cracking as she spoke. She lingered there for a moment trying to think of something else to say but eventually closed the door.

Sloane stood back up, shutting off the lights as she made her way over to the couch. She slowly lowered herself down onto it until she was sitting. To say she felt like a zombie might have been an exaggeration. She didn't want to leave but... She had no idea how to act with camp, her brother or Liam. For the short time she'd been staying in this cabin she knew something like this would have been inevitable but she didn't expect it to feel the way it did. Like whatever progress she made with herself was flaking away. That maybe she couldn't stop her brother or protect people from him. Or that she was this burden being passed around like hot potato.

But none of that was really what weighed on her mind, as much as that would be easier. It was Liam. Sloane hated how one person could confuse her so much in such a short amount of time. Before the party she had a clear image... But now everything was clouded. He was gentle with her and protected her like it was his job. It was almost like no one else mattered, until a blonde displaying herself caught his attention. Maybe Sloane was more like sad excuse for a sister in his eyes? But then he wouldn't have kissed her. Or maybe he wanted her to be like Eve, although she wasn't. No matter the questions or potential answers that rushed through her mind, it only seemed to muddy her thoughts more.

She didn't bother changing into something else to sleep in, instead laying back on the couch. A soft sigh escaped her lips before she rolled over, turning her back toward the room. She curled into a ball, bringing her knees to her chest and closed her eyes. Sloane wanted to sleep but her mind was anything but calm. There in the darkness, her hand slowly raised so that her fingertips could barely touch her lips. It was almost like the kiss still lingered there. Gods, what in the hell was she going to do?

Wes laughed and gladly shifted forward for Trinity to reach around behind him and shove Daniel. His own hand held her frame slightly to help keep her balance as she struggled a bit to make her arm reach the distance. The personality shifting son of Hecate nodded his head quickly at his comment about only stripping for one person. And, of course, Trin had something to add. "Iliana's a lucky girl." The blonde smirked toward him. Wes rolled his eyes and shook his head with a smile. "Since when have you turned all a private showman, anyway? You got nothing to hide." His gaze fell slightly when she tapped his abdomen.

He gently took ahold of Trinity's finger with his real hand and chuckled. "You know who I meant," Wes corrected her with a slight smile. "And we both know you don't like to share. I think you'd smother me with clothes once I got past my shirt." His grin only grew at the comment, giving her a playful nudge with his shoulder.

"Not at the moment, Daniel, sorry. You know I'm just afraid we'll dance and I'll fall hard and fast for you," she then replied to Daniel's offer for a dance.

"I understand." Daniel tapped his heart and bowed his head.

Trinity then stood up and put her foot on the log where she was sitting. Her gaze was on him expectantly which caused him to raise a brow curiously. Wes adjusted how he sat slightly, letting his finger tips brush against her calf lightly. It was a brief touch. He couldn't help but smirk, looking up at her from the corner of his eyes. Before he could do it again a whistle cut through the noise of the small group. He jumped slightly, like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar, withdrawing his touch from Trin's leg.

Wes looked over in the direction the sound came from, surprised to see it was Iliana. He didn't know the girl was capable of any noise, let alone one that loud. "Can someone please explain to me what the deal is with this Daniel here? I thought his name was Keith? Was that a lie? What do you mean he's back? I am sorry, I am just so confused right now and it's driving me nuts here."

"Think of it as a split personality. Keith was here, now he's not," Daniel answered the question with a vague comment. Wes nodded his head in appreciation of the answer. But he felt someone curious like Iliana might not be satisfied with such a vague response. "Forgive me for not wanting to waste time now I'm finally me again. I think as a rule...as hard and confusing as it is on all of you...until another identity is implanted in your minds, you don't talk about how I should behave. Or, how nuts it drives you guys... See you later." He then turned and left the group.

Wes sighed, looking down. He didn't mean to upset Daniel, nor did he think anyone else did. But he didn't think he should be the one to chase after him. Luckily, as if she was on the same wavelength, Andy followed after Daniel. She was probably the safest bet to talk to him. That then left Wes with Trinity and Iliana once again. He tried his best to smile before looking between the girls.

"Does this camp ever have... normal days?" Wes asked rhetorically as he looked over at Trinity. He didn't whisper the question or anything but he directed it a little more toward Trin since she had been there even longer than himself. It probably didn't paint the best image for Iliana who had only been there a couple days. But it was a sad truth about the place.

At one point during the rapid fire conversation Andy caught a glimpse of Trinity who looked straight at her. The blonde gave a tight smile, like she knew that something was going on in her head even though she didn't say anything. Andy gave a similar smile in return but said nothing. Instead she remained more of a spectator as Trinity and Wes came to terms with Daniel being back.

Then there was a high pitch whistle that made Andy's face scrunch up. Was that necessary? She looked over at the culprit, like the rest of them, to be met by the screen of a tablet. "Can someone please explain to me what the deal is with this Daniel here? I thought his name was Keith? Was that a lie? What do you mean he's back? I am sorry, I am just so confused right now and it's driving me nuts here."

Andy didn't know why, but it seemed her patience with nosey campers was growing thin that night. Maybe it was her protectiveness over Daniel now that he was back. But she said nothing, instead chewing on the inside of her cheek quietly. "Forgive me for not wanting to waste time now I'm finally me again. I think as a rule...as hard and confusing as it is on all of you...until another identity is implanted in your minds, you don't talk about how I should behave. Or, how nuts it drives you guys... See you later." And then he left.

She sighed, raising her right hand to pinch the bridge of her nose. "Damn it," Andy huffed under her breath. She didn't mean to upset him or anything. She let Daniel head off a bit before she turned and followed after him. Her steps were quicker than his so it didn't take her long to catch up with him, gently placing her hand on his shoulder. "Daniel, wait." Andy wasn't going to force him to stop, but hoped he wouldn't fight her.

Once he slowed down, she walked around him until they were face to face. Thankfully, no one else followed after them. Andy wanted a moment with Daniel without others hovering around asking questions or whatever else. "Look... I'm sorry." She sighed, slowly dropping her hand from his shoulder. "I'm happy you're back. Truly. I just..." Her voice trailed off as she squinted her eyes trying to find the way to explain how she felt. "It's very overwhelming," she finally said with a weak laugh.

Andy shifted her weight from one foot to another. "Your death changed me. I don't know what mom told you... But I tried so hard to save you. I let her take you away, hoping that her being a God was your best chance at survival. And then she showed up the next day, telling me you were dead." She cleared her throat, looking down at the ground as she tried not to let her emotions get the better of her. "I never got to see you again. All I had was this." Her right hand tugged a chain around her neck, pulling off the locket that was hidden beneath her shirt. She then took Daniel's hand and placed the necklace in his palm.

After a long moment, she inhaled deeply through her nose before speaking once again. "If you want to know what happened while you were gone I'll tell you. All of it." Andy gently took his arm, giving it a gentle tug. She led them over to a farther end of the beach where no one would bug them or eaves drop. Then she told Daniel everything. Every single detail that happened over the past year, stuff he'd want to know... Some stuff he wouldn't, like her night with Ajax. Then there was the trials, the fights, the romances. But then her words started to falter when she focused more on her own life, in particular the past couple days.

"You're return just happened at a time where I am not even remotely emotionally stable." Andy laughed at her own misery. At least she had that going for her. She ran her hand back through her hair and scratched her head. "Ajax asked for a break... Because I am conflicted." She didn't know how else to word it, but her gaze drifted off in the direction of Mason in time to see him kiss Eve's neck. Andy inhaled sharply, quickly looking away as she clenched her jaw. She took a moment to calm herself before looking back toward her brother. "That's everything," she crossed her heart with her right index finger and smiled.

Then as if a large red target was painted on her back, Sylas seemed to miraculously appear, joining the two of them. Andy nearly cursed under her breath at his arrival. How much had he heard? That's all she needed was him taking her words and whispering them to Mason like a snake.

"Evening," Sylas said with a smile, raising his glass in a greeting toward Andy and Daniel. "I don't believe we've met. I'm Sylas," he said to Daniel, offering him his hand in a polite greeting. Honestly, he had no real meaning behind him crashing the sibling bonding moment... beyond perhaps ruffling Andy's feathers a bit. He liked to see what the feisty girl had up her sleeve and what about her drove Mason mad.

Before Daniel could reply she sighed and spoke up. "He's Mason's new friend... And broke my nose during capture the flag." She looked between her brother and himself, giving her best smile.

"Still upset about that? It looks like it healed up nicely. Perks of being at the demigod camp." Sylas smirked, raising his glass to his lips and took a drink, before looking back toward Daniel. "Daniel...? Keith...? I bet you have an interesting story."

Andy had no reason not to like Sylas, outright at least. She didn't hear everything Liam said, but whatever had happened between them pissed off the son of Ares unlike she had ever seen. Then there was her own encounters with him. It definitely was enough for her to not to want to be overly friendly with him. That and not wanting every single thing she does being used as fuel for Mason. She hadn't noticed that her stance had shifted slightly so that she was standing partially in front of her brother. "If you're that curious, ask Mason."

Sylas smirked, tapping the side of his glass with his finger. "My my. She is a protective one, isn't she?"

Theo felt the somber mood among the trio he had approached. Alex was upset about a boy, and, although that wasn't anything new, it was much better than her being upset about all the other crap she had dealt with recently. Ajax was as brooding as ever, bearing the weight of being the leader of the camp's band of misfit demigods. Daniel was Daniel, a good thing in Theo's opinion. That mischievous confidence was back behind Daniel's eyes, and Theo realized just how much he had missed the troublemaker at camp. The son of Hecate spoke up, and Theo turned to listen to him. "Yes, you looked in a real predicament being drowned in lady companionship earlier."

Theo couldn't help but crack a smile. Daniel was unmistakably back and already throwing playful barbs int he direction of the veteran camp members. "Oh yeah, it was dreadful. Too bad for them that I don't have the taste for one night stands any more," he stole a look over his shoulder towards Trinity and Wes as he spoke before cutting his gaze to the sand. Luckily, Daniel didn't pry and decided to turn the conversation to a more serious note.

"We were previously discussing who would make a good second in command. If I had to be responsible I was thinking you," Theo looked up at him to see if Daniel was sincere. It seemed as if he was. Theo simply shrugged as Daniel spoke again, trying to catch his drunk mind up with the idea of leading the camp, "If I was being myself though, I'd vote for me."

This drew a real laugh out of Theo, "Somethings never change. Good to have you back Daniel. Camp needs just your kind of spark. Maybe it should be you."

Almost as if on cue, Daniel shot up. He had never been one to sit still for long, and he was clearly ready to get back to the festivities."You know this is supposed to be a party. Why don't you fellas get off your butts and make some girl's night by asking her to dance? You too, Alex." Theo watched as Daniel walked off. As much as he wanted to follow him, he was making a bee line straight for the group Trinity was sitting with. Theo wanted no part of that. Theo figured there wasn't much else for him to do at the party. He had made his rounds, met some people, and he wasn't planning on hitting up the closet. He nodded to Ajax and Alex, "You guys come back safe. Catch you later."

With that Theo started the trek back to his cabin, taking one last quick look towards the party. For the night, even if he was a mess himself, camp was happy and peaceful... for the most part. The boy could smile at that.

Image He was happy just wandering about doing his own thing to kill the rest of time until Andy stepped in front of him. He sighed out knowing how a good chunk of the conversation would go. She was sorry but she was one of the worse for wanting answers that he couldn't give and wanting him to act better. More accordingly. He might have only heard her vocalize it once but her look towards him said it all. His sister always did have soulful and expressive eyes.

"Look... I'm sorry. I'm happy you're back. Truly. I just..." Daniel waited for her to find the word. "It's very overwhelming," she said instead with a weak laugh.

Daniel just nodded. He wasn't taking away the emotions of Andy in the situation but he had his own.

"Your death changed me. I don't know what mom told you... But I tried so hard to save you. I let her take you away, hoping that her being a God was your best chance at survival. And then she showed up the next day, telling me you were dead."

Noticing Andy get upset, Daniel tried to let her know she didn't have to press on. Hecate was his best chance of survival because here he stood at the end of the day. "And-"

But she continued anyway. "I never got to see you again. All I had was this." Daniel watched her take off her necklace and place it in his palm. He closed his hand around it gently.

"Are you sure you shouldn't keep it?" he said quietly. One thing having a blade shoved through him taught him was you never knew when your last day was. A war was a good hint as any but if Andy needed the locket...if it was all she had..it was better in her hands. Something to remember him by, as himself. "I'm here now."

They were silent for a while then Andy sighed. "If you want to know what happened while you were gone I'll tell you. All of it." He certainly couldn't say no to that. Andy led them to the furthest side of the beach to lay the details on him. The good, the bad and the ugly. There was a nose crinkle here and there, a puzzled expression but a lot could happen in the space of a year. He was all caught up for better or worse and most of it went by without commentary as he absorbed all the news.

But when Andy addressed her own shoes and not distant stories of other campers, her voice let her down. "You're return just happened at a time where I am not even remotely emotionally stable." She did that poor laugh again making him frown. She didn't have to pretend with him but they both got like that, not letting people see the hurt and control they were losing. "Ajax asked for a break... Because I am conflicted." What did that mean? Daniel frowned again. More so when she inhaled sharply like she was stung by something. Daniel's eyes flickered to Mason and Eve again then returned on Andy. As much as Andy informed him, there were still a couple of mysteries for the solo detective to unravel. "That's everything," she concluded crossing her heart.

Daniel pursed his lips. Well, it kind of made sense how Daniel's return was the cherry on top to Andy's problems. "So you're telling me I'm not going to be an uncle any time soon," he mumbled. At least not to Ajax's kid. Unless they weren't safe the other night but he preferred not to know about the measures used... or un-used for protection. The whole alcohol involvement didn't make him too at ease. But that wasn't the only thing he took away from the story of the year he missed. "Thank you for the update."

Then Sylas slinked over again. It was harsh but Keith didn't like his vibes and Daniel didn't like his face without much reason other than him being a douche to his unconfirmed girlfriend. "Evening," he said and raised his glass in greetings. "I don't believe we've met. I'm Sylas." Ah so Sylas was the official name of Slenderman. He held out a hand and Daniel shook it.

Before he opened his mouth to introduce himself, Andy sighed. "He's Mason's new friend... And broke my nose during capture the flag."

Daniel returned his hand slowly. If it weren't camp that would have been a serious problem but Daniel really didn't know what to make of it. It was hard because it made him dislike Sylas a little more but the context of camp and the game was combat. Besides, it was good Mason had a new couple of friends. "Still upset about that? It looks like it healed up nicely. Perks of being at the demigod camp." Sylas smirked. Daniel titled his head to the side. Maybe it was his way with women.

"Daniel...? Keith...? I bet you have an interesting story."

Daniel smiled and shrugged. "Don't we all? Call me either. I have a twin, but we're never at the same place at the same time." Again, he didn't say these things thinking every stranger an idiot, but why not make some whimsical story.to dismiss questions and curiosity.

But Andy had her own response, shifting herself slightly in front of him. "If you're that curious, ask Mason."

He looked at her confused. Okay so the thoughts and feelings with Mason were definitely rocky. "My my. She is a protective one, isn't she?"

"A little bit," he agreed, frowning at the back of Andy's head. Daniel stepped beside her trying to catch her eye. They might not have liked the guy because he carried his nose in the air, but she had to take it easy. She didn't need her hands full with an enemy at camp. "Speaking of interesting Slendy, what's the story with the neck?" He was sporting that bruise like a trend and it's not like that didn't have an interesting origin. It's not like he fell or it was an accident.

"You know I just got to say it is good to officially meet you, Sylas. To put a name to the face." He wasn't exactly a spotlight guy to everybody but Daniel and his other ego had been getting glimpses of Sylas. Enough for him to stand out.

Just as the son of Ares stared up at his ceiling, defeated and by a small woman that he's known for maybe a day and a half, the door to his room slowly creaked open. Part of him was releived that maybe, just maybe he hadn't fucked up so utterly and she was coming to do that woman thing where they get all emotional and spill out their heart. Or whatever they do. It was something like that, and that's all he really knew. At least then he'd have a chance to fix things. Yet... he wasn't sure what he had broken.

"He wanted you," her voice came through just as softly as a mere whisper, and then Rocco ran into the room fortunately oblivious to all the tension in the air. Then she spoke again, "I... I can leave in the morning," Before he could even reply, she dismissed herself.

It was deserved, he knew it.

Fingers pressed against closed eyes, rubbing them as the pup proceeded to lap at his face. The canine's energy died down swiftly, content to cuddle up alongside Liam as per usual. Rocco liked to bury his nose beneath the side of his neck, and he didn't know why. Quite frankly, it looked uncomfortable. It didn't matter, though, because he was soon fast asleep to leave the man alone to contemplate life in general. To bask in... feelings, and the terrifying reality that they were so sudden.

Women were supposed to be a fun time. A sidegig. Something to look at and play with. There had never been room for anything else in his life. He was a busy man, all of the drinking and the fighting and the hating his very existence. Self-loathing takes a lot of work and leaves very little space for romance or... love. Sure, he thought very highly of himself, but that didn't mean he liked himself. It just meant that he knew what he was capable of - that he can always take what he wanted or be victorious in anything he put his mind to. But that was not self-love, that was entitlement. That was the Ares gene in him that just knew he could get away with anything - even the worst things.

Now here he was, at Camp Athens - a place he thought he'd just walk around, fuck some hot demigods to piss off their parents, jack up some dudes, and train. He was here to be the biggest piece of shit imaginable to spite his father. He was supposed to be doing all of those things, but he wasn't. There's this doe-eyed beauty in the way of his personality, and it's making him... a good person.

Sure, he almost killed Sylas, but he held back. He could have. He very well would have, but he didn't. He could have told Sloane to fuck off and grow up and learn to not be a punching bag, but he didn't. Now she's living with him, and the threat of her leaving makes his stomach churn. He never thought that some woman would unman him so much, but Sloane did. He knows what kind of feeling he has for her. Knows it.

Maybe it's cliché - like from one of those stupid romance novels girls like to read, but he knows that this knot in his stomach and the fact that he hasn't snatched Eve from the party, meant that he was in love with her. She's practically a stranger to him. You know who else loved her? Rocco. And you know - he's got to make sure that he doesn't disappoint his pup by letting Sloane leave and never come back. Who else would take him out while Liam is busy with other things?

So, he sat himself up, swung his legs off of the bed, and stood. He was going to go out there...

For Rocco. Yeah. Even if the canine was fine with just laying on the bed and not moving at all. The poor thing was pooped.

He pulled open his door and stepped out, slowly moving toward the living space where Sloane laid on the couch. A bit of time had passed, likely with the two drowning in their own thoughts. When he moved to the couch, he bent over slightly to gently grasp her ankles and move her legs, just so that he could sit next to her. Of course, he put her legs onto his lap - mostly feet, ankles, and a little bit of calf. He tried his best not to feel her skin up since she's wearing a skirt. She made being a gentleman rather easy anyway.

It was quiet for a little bit longer because Liam, thus far, has not had a great way with words. Kissing her out of nowhere wasn't his best move, and neither were any of the things that slipped out of his mouth afterward. He found himself staring down at her ankles; judging their dainty bony design and mindlessly tracing invisible lines along the skin. He wasn't sure how long he had been doing it, or if she even cared for it, but he did come to realize that he was being creepy. So, he stopped abruptly, blinked, and looked over at her with a heavy sigh rising and falling in his chest.

"You don't have to go, Sloane," he began easily enough, his eyes pinning her own down in one of this signature soul searching stares she'd be familiar with by now. "I just - I can't read minds. I can't read women or hints or anything like that. I can do a lot of things, but I can't do those. I can't get my thoughts out straight or tell you how I feel, but I can try. Not that it will come out right, but I do try."

His forearms sort of draped over her legs and he seemed to have suddenly adopted restless leg syndrome as he's knees bounced, and probably also shaking her legs. He looked away to find a point where he didn't have to peer at her while he sorted through the words in his head - the television, really. He didn't have much else in here. He gets right to the point, as tactless as it would be. "You told me to mingle, but if mingling means I can't hit on other women, then you should tell me. I don't need other women," he ended that point there, but it seemed to have some underlying context to it.

He returned her his gaze, "All you have to do is tell me what you want, Sloane. You seemed... happy since you left your brother, and that's what I want for you. You should be able to feel like you can be yourself, trust yourself, be open without fear. I'm not saying you need to do all of those things with me, but I was kind of hoping that we were headed in that direction." He just kept talking and talking, and he didn't know if there was any sense to be made of it. He just didn't know how to put together cohesive thoughts. Rather, she made it hard for him to do so.

"I don't want to be just this man that follows you around so that your brother will stay away from you, is what I am trying to say. Judging from the party incident, maybe you don't want me to be, either." He sighed and lifted a hand up to run his fingers through his ruffled up hair, "I don't know what this is, but..."

And that is where that thought died, and he was just left there like an oaf staring at her. His back sunk into the couch a bit, and he suddenly started to feel like he was actually sinking. Maybe it was the whiskey, but his eyes closed and he rested his head against the back of the couch. "If you go, Rocco would be very sad. He'd mope. Do you want to be responsible for a moping puppy?"

Heath and Ethan payed close attention to Evelyn and Nelly's conversation since they were talking about Sylas.

“You could always reapproach him for more talking and...touching.”

Well there was an idea, Nelly thought. Looking in his direction though, she saw him addressing Andy and another guy. Sadly if she did that now, she probably be interrupting them. If there was one thing Nelly was trying to improve on, it was her timing skills when it came to conversations. She knew she'd never be perfect, but she knew she could be better. As far as touching went, at this point she didn't care now. She was never a touchy person to begin with. She just merely thought touching was part of the game, but the game was over now so there was no bother.

After Ethan made his comment about who he'd spend this closet time with, Evelyn replied, “I appreciate the pity inclusion. There are other games I'm typically more invested in, but this one has managed to hold my attention. Add the right partner, I'm very interested in these kind of games.”

Ethan frowned at the "pity comment".

"I wasn't taking pity on you Evelyn. I just wanted to include you. Should I have a reason to pity you?"

Soon though Heath made his comment and things soon ended with Evelyn leaving them.

"She sure is something isn't she?" Ethan asked Heath once she was out of earshot.

Heath smiled and said, "It's because she likes to make you think. Definitely a complex person. You interested in her?"

"I don't know actually. I am pretty simple guy. She might suit you better though."

"Who knows, I am not looking for anyone special. Plus I don't trust Evelyn at the moment. Still it would be best to stay on her good side."

Nelly, not like being left out, soon interjected, "Hello, I am still here."

Both turned back to her and Ethan replied, "Oh dear, sorry Nelly. Heath and I are just so use to talking with each other, it's hard to remember sometimes when others are present."

"I'll say. So what is your story anyway? How do ya'll know each other? You two are definitely from different places."

"Oh that's simple. I wanted to study abroad and ended up staying with Heath after Athena's recommendation since my mother asked around."

"Cool! I love traveling myself and am a freelance photographer."

"Really? Where have you traveled to?"

"Before you two get into it, Ethan, I am going to check on Iliana."

Plus he wanted to check on a few other things, he just didn't want to leave Ethan alone. At least with Nelly here, he would be preoccupied.

"Sure thing Heath"

Nodding, Heath left to the two gingers to talk.

Iliana wasn't going to apologize for the whistle. At the same time, she wasn't intending to upset anyone either. Daniel seemed worn out though after saying, "Think of it as a split personality. Keith was here, now he's not."

Split personality? Wait, there could be another reason- amnesia. That would also explain things. Did Daniel suffer some sort of trauma for him to end up that way? Iliana could relate to that. Her current condition was a perfect example of that. Daniel's next words got her attention.

"Forgive me for not wanting to waste time now I'm finally me again. I think as a rule...as hard and confusing as it is on all of you...until another identity is implanted in your minds, you don't talk about how I should behave. Or, how nuts it drives you guys."

Oh, she knew exactly how he felt. She was totally different from who she was over a year ago. Heck, one could say she was different since her father's death. Before she could do anything else, Daniel left with Andy quickly following. She picked up Andy's anger at her and she felt awful for some reason. Sighing, Iliana turned when Wes spoke up.

"Does this camp ever have... normal days?"

The question had been directed at Trinity, so Iliana looked back at Daniel and Andy, only to see Sylas greet them. Immediately Iliana tensed up and hid behind Trinity this time. Seeing what she did, she ended up writing on her pad showed it to Trinity and Wes.

~Sylas scares me for some reason. He's hard to read.~

She couldn't say Wes didn't know her well because he did and he made her laugh, calling her out on her greed and protectiveness for him. The same thing went for how he got away with touching her calf lightly without a broken hand and just a watchful eye and sly smile from Trinity.

Iliana was the one to bring some settle to the group with a high-pitched whistle, making Trinity press her ear to her shoulder. Iliana demanded to know what the deal was with Daniel. Somewhere in her, she had the same burning question.

“Think of it as a split personality. Keith was here, now he's not,” he answered simply. Trinity awaited more. They could think of it that way sure but it didn't answer anything. Not really. “Forgive me for not wanting to waste time now I'm finally me again. I think as a rule...as hard and confusing as it is on all of you...until another identity is implanted in your minds, you don't talk about how I should behave. Or, how nuts it drives you guys.”

Trinity averted her gaze guiltily. That was the first time she saw Daniel get his back up about something and it was fair. Daniel looked a little agitated and restless then dismissed himself from the group. It wasn't long until Andy followed suit. Trinity's eyes fell on the remaining two, matching Wes's smile.

“Does this camp ever have... normal days?” Wes said more directed towards her. She smiled and shrugged innocently. He'd been there for a year now, he knew what to expect of camp.

“You know this is actually a pretty good normal day margin. Considering the other days we've had.” Trinity looked to Iliana when she noticed the girl shifting behind her. Usually the comforting was best left to Wes but why not slip in some assurance. Iliana already came to Wes asking if he was still mad or upset, obviously, she was quite the sensitive soul. “Daniel will be fine and if he holds some grudge, he'll just conjure a killer in your cabin to get even.” Well, at least that was an assurance to Trinity. No bad blood; she hurt his feelings so he hurt her. All was square.

That was when the pad came forth again. Sylas scares me for some reason. He's hard to read.

She looked at Wes for help. Trinity's opinion and solution were a little too instinctual so she let the voice of reason step in. For a bit anyway. She never was the kind to bite her tongue. Trinity grabbed Iliana's arm to have her undivided attention. “Do not let him see your fear. That douche is a leech, nothing more. Don't give him an inch of satisfaction. You can crush him under your heel.”

She cleared her throat and decided on a new topic. Something slightly calmer. “You said you were Demeter's kid and your powers were linked to your emotions. So when you're sad or angry they just come out?” A lack of control obviously wasn't ideal but at least Trinity knew when they needed Iliana's powers, she could give the girl some rage for motivation. “Demeter's pretty nature-based right?”

Somehow, she didn't think talking about using Iliana's mother's gifts for battle or torture would go over well and Trinity quit while she was ahead. It almost sounded like some normal questions and general curiosity. But Wes probably knew better.

Rae quickly cleared any confusion he might have had about her intentions and only added to it. "Yes, the drying out of my lady-parts is really depending on this conversation right here and right now. I am going to get a little fussy if I don't have a man or two to keep me satisfied while I am stuck here. I find this one rather cute, but I can come back later."

Her frankness was unique and it left Duke and Alex speechless. If he weren't mistaken it left Alex with a bitter taste in her mouth. "Sure you will..." was all she said before spinning on her heel and marching off leaving Duke alone yet again.

His arms hung there lost and confused as everybody parted like the red sea from him. Eventually, when concluding there was nothing he could do, he took a stroll. It was a long enough walk, his thoughts seemingly nowhere and everywhere at once that by the time he returned a few campers had called it quits for the night

It was Alex's turn for the closet, and even though she honestly wanted to enjoy the party, part of her at this point just couldn't stop thinking about how much she blamed Andy, and much she disliked her nowadays. There were times when both of them used to get along, but since Mason came along, it all changed. Her brother told her their decision was made, and mutual, but she knew him better. He only did things to please her, so she thought, but Ajax truly wanted Andy to be happy this time.

The bottle soon landed on Duke.

Thank the gods. She would have no doubt passed it onto someone else if the bottle had landed on Sylas or Mason.

A few steps on the beach and he found the bottle pointing in his direction then looked up at Alex. There were things he'd rather be doing than wedging himself into a closet with somebody but this was apparently a definition of fun.

Alex stood up, dusting herself off before she wandered over to the closet, and once inside with those doors closed to the outside world, she felt peace for a little while until Duke joined her not long after. The closet was actually more spacious than she had imagined but still shuffled up to give him some space.

Duke crossed his arms keeping as much personal space as he could muster between them. For the moment he wasn't feeling very receptive towards the one that made him look a fool then thought she could take him away from the present company...even if the redhead was a little too expecting of Duke. In the meantime he could only stare at her, desperate to cut the present tension and clear some air but he couldn't even identify why these uneasy feelings existed between the two or what he owed her.

ImageThey both stood in silence for what seemed like the longest seconds of their lives until finally, it was broken. "Why did you do that?" she asked with a frown. He wouldn't have a clue what she meant if she left it at that, so she carried on with her words. "Why did you have to shut me down like that in front of that girl who was... Talking to you?" she held back from calling it anything else. "You've never done that to me."

Duke's eyes narrowed. "I didn't see it as shutting you out. We were talking, Alex, and the last I saw of you, you had your tongue down Pete's throat. You're better than that. So why did you do it?" Of course that was more rhetorical than him actually wanting an answer about how attractive Pete was or because she could. He didn't really care for any bratty responses and there were no good responses to give.

She looked down. Maybe he was right. Mixing with a guy like that who came off as one of the bad boys, but she just wanted to live on the edge a little, to feel something from someone else like she was more than just Ajax's little unhinged sister that had lost her way.

His hesitant hand that stroked her cheek was something she didn't expect, yet she didn't once flinch or draw away from him.

His lips pressed into a firm line, the mix of emotions she evoked in him made him contradicting. He wanted her to have fun and be herself, but he wished so desperately she didn't kiss Pete out of the blue either. Hesitantly a hand came up to stroke her cheek. She was a wild spirit, he knew that, but somewhere inside there was far more to her.

Image His touch calmed her, like a raging storm against an unsettled ocean as her eyes looked up and met his. The silence fell between them again, and before she knew it, he had stepped back letting her have her freedom.

She would never be tamable or change and that was reality.

Though with the right man, one that she could grow with and learn from... well, she would be his for as long as he wanted her.

A storm was always going to need its freedom, but once in a while, even storms settle.

"Duke, I... I'm sorry. I just..." Her head was a tornado of thoughts, her heart a blaze of warmth that still managed to stay lit within her towards those she cared about in her life, but the coldness of the dark still clung to her skin like ice, crawling its way through her veins which only her loved ones could thaw. But how could they if she just constantly pushed them away? things needed to change, or there was going to be no way of her turning back.

It was obvious that the trial hadn't fixed her completely. She needed more time to return to that girl she once was last year.

"I'll do better. I promise." she told him, hoping that he trusted her still. She was hesitant about the next choice of words, merely because she had always wanted to be able to stand on her own two feet, but everyone needs help from time to time. Even when we don't like to admit it. "Will you help me? I don't think I can do this on my own."

Looking Alex over Duke could only nod. Of course change had taken place in her and the reality was it had left a scar. He lowered his eyes. He knew Alex didn't mean to disappoint or harm others and he didn't want her being too hard on herself. "It's not about doing better Alex, I think you're incredible and have amazing potential. Everybody does but...especially you." Those kind of compliments didn't come lightly from Duke's mouth, he meant it wholeheartedly.

The corners of her lips began to lift up as she heard his words. That definitely meant a lot coming from him. Especially like that.

"I'll go to Olympus with you and Ajax, and Zeus, if he doesn't mind." Duke cracked a tight smile. It wasn't like the whole tension was completely alleviated between them but it was the beginning of getting back on track. She had asked for help and he'd try his best.

Duke allowed Alex to exit the closet first then holding the bottle around the neck, Duke approached Iliana who looked in the middle of a pep talk with Trinity and Wes. "Sorry to interrupt guys, but I believe one of you are yet to go in the closet and deserve to be included in a dreadful party game." Duke smiled holding out the bottle to Iliana.

7 minutes in heaven wasn't all awful in his kiss but typically it wasn't his game and it was meant for drama, gossip, deceit.

There was no way in the world Sloane would have been able to fall asleep, even if she wanted to. Her mind was racing with so many things. To say that her life was a whirlwind in the last 24 hours was an understatement. She took it all with a grain of salt and found herself able to breathe. But she didn't realize the new vulnerabilities that came with letting new people into her life. Liam in particular.

She didn't blame him, nor was she mad at him. Sloane had zero claim on the man and from what she had seen of him before crossing paths, he wasn't leading the race for Prince Charming. So, she shouldn't have expected any less. Regardless of what was or was not there between them, having someone she felt like she could rely on... maybe even trust was nice. She just obviously misinterpreted many things. Although Liam didn't make it any clearer when he kissed her a moment earlier.

Sloane sighed, rolling over onto her back and pinched the bridge of her nose. What in the hell was she going to do? She had no where to stay and sure as hell had zero desire to return to her brother's cabin. But before she could dwell at that fact too long, the sound of Liam's bedroom door opening caught her attention. The abrupt sound in the silence made her heart skip a beat. She pushed off the couch, lifting her torso enough so that she could peek over the back toward his door. Her body quickly sunk back into the cushions when she saw the giant lumber over toward her.

Before she had a chance to lift her feet to make room for him, Liam took ahold of her ankles gently, sitting where they once laid. Sloane had planned to withdraw her legs in toward herself, that was until he let them rest upon his lap. It was like he was trying his best not to disturb her anymore than he already had. And although there was silence between them, it wasn't awkward per se, but it wasn't exactly comfortable like their silences before were.

"You don't have to go, Sloane," he said. Liam's words sliced through the silence like butter. She found herself looking down the long couch toward him, directly into his eyes that seemed much heavier than they had previously. "I just - I can't read minds. I can't read women or hints or anything like that. I can do a lot of things, but I can't do those. I can't get my thoughts out straight or tell you how I feel, but I can try. Not that it will come out right, but I do try."

Liam's arms rested across her calves, while his leg began to bounce. But she didn't speak, afraid her own words would divert his thoughts. "You told me to mingle, but if mingling means I can't hit on other women, then you should tell me. I don't need other women."

Sloane inhaled sharply as her gaze fell to where his arms met her legs. Her own fingers tugger at the hem of her skirt as she searched for words. Why couldn't she say it? Liam sat her all but vomiting his feelings on her, yet she was silent. Her eyes closed when she finally forced words out. "You can do whatever you want, Liam... And hit on whomever you want. I just... didn't want to be a burden, or in the way." It was partly the truth anyway. She couldn't bring herself to admit she didn't like seeing him flirt with someone else. Not when she clutched his hand not a moment before. But those words didn't leave her lips.

"All you have to do is tell me what you want, Sloane. You seemed... happy since you left your brother, and that's what I want for you. You should be able to feel like you can be yourself, trust yourself, be open without fear. I'm not saying you need to do all of those things with me, but I was kind of hoping that we were headed in that direction."

"I am happier." Sloane felt the need to clarify that. No matter what happened between her and Liam, she was happy getting the brief glimpse of freedom she got, regardless of the end result. "And I... We were," she confirmed.

"I don't want to be just this man that follows you around so that your brother will stay away from you, is what I am trying to say. Judging from the party incident, maybe you don't want me to be, either." He sighed, running his fingers through his hair. It was only when he looked away that Sloane let herself look over at him. "I don't know what this is, but... If you go, Rocco would be very sad. He'd mope. Do you want to be responsible for a moping puppy?"

She smiled. It was brief and it faded as quickly as her gaze fell back to her hands that rested in her lap. "No... I don't want you to be my body guard." Sloane's words were quiet, nearly a whisper. It was only several moments after the words left her lips that she manage to meet his gaze. It was in that moment that she became very aware of her legs in his lap. She nearly pulled them from him and in toward herself. But she stopped herself. They just spoke of trusting and not being scared. Withdrawing into herself was a cowards move... a safe move. So, she forced herself to remain where she sat. Another small step forward.

"I do appreciate everything you've done for me, Liam... truly. And... I don't want to leave." Her voice trailed off, but she managed to keep her gaze on Liam. "But, I don't want to be in your way. I have no right to be... uncomfortable about what you do with other women. And if you want me to go... I'll go."

Sloane didn't move, but internally she prepared... Prepared to hear the words that he did want her to leave. Maybe he was trying to soften the blow. Regardless, whatever he wanted, she'd listen. This was his place and her life all but bombarded his own. She has no right to a spot in his cabin or being jealous of him flirting with someone else, although she wouldn't admit that it was jealousy. Now it was her turn for her leg to become slightly restless. Her toes twitched occasionally before her left leg began to bounce. Just rip off the bandaid.

"You know this is actually a pretty good normal day margin. Considering the other days we've had." Wes nodded his head at Trinity's words but had nothing to add. "Daniel will be fine and if he holds some grudge, he'll just conjure a killer in your cabin to get even."

He let out a genuine laugh at the comment, raising his mechanical arm to rub his temples while shaking his head. Wes smiled toward Trinity, but it quickly faded when he realized how serious a comment like that could be taken. He held out his other hand toward Iliana in a reassuring manner. "Not seriously. Ok, well seriously, but he has no reason to do that to you. He'd reserve stuff like that for Trinity or Andy... Or someone who genuinely annoyed him." He smiled weakly. Yeah, that wasn't going to be helpful at all.

Then it seemed Iliana had other thoughts on her mind. "Sylas scares me for some reason. He's hard to read."

Trinity looked towards him for help. Wes sighed, leaning forward to rest his elbows on his knees. He rubbed the back of his neck before speaking. "The same thing could be said about other people here as well. Personally, I'd worry about Eve." He shrugged his shoulders like he was brushing the thought off before it could fully leave his lips. "But that's just me."

"Do not let him see your fear. That douche is a leech, nothing more. Don't give him an inch of satisfaction. You can crush him under your heel." Trinity's fire always made Wes smile. Although he didn't know if he completely agree with the 'crushing him under your heel' portion. Iliana seemed to be the type to be afraid of her own shadow before standing up to someone else. But maybe he was wrong.

"You said you were Demeter's kid and your powers were linked to your emotions. So when you're sad or angry they just come out? Demeter's pretty nature-based right?"

"Trinity has a mind for battle strategy," he said, smiling as he looked over at the blonde. "She's probably trying to figure out how your abilities could be useful in a fight." Wes lightly nudged Trin with his elbow before he continued. "She's been trying to convince me to use my abilities more often since I can't fight for shit." He laughed, shaking his head at his jabs at himself. After all, it was the truth.

"Don't we all? Call me either. I have a twin, but we're never at the same place at the same time."

Sylas actually chuckled at the comment. It wasn't particularly a good joke but the added fact that he himself had his own twin made it resonate with him. He nodded his head, taking a sip from his drink before he spoke. "If only we all were that lucky. Although it would appear that she is no longer here," he added as his gaze scanned the party. He hadn't notice her depart but it seemed the lumbering idiot was also no where to be seen. An unfortunate side effect. He made a mental note to continue chipping away at Liam in the morning. He wouldn't dare miss the rest of the proceedings in the closet.

"A little bit." Andy's nose scrunched up as Sylas joked like they were all old friends catching up. She let out a sigh as Daniel moved out from behind her. She crossed her arms over her chest, but didn't look away from either one of them. After only some of the things she's encountered and heard, she was not a fan of leaving her brother alone in his presence.

"Speaking of interesting Slendy, what's the story with the neck?" Her brows furrowed slightly as she looked between her brother and the marks on Sylas's neck. Andy hadn't noticed them earlier. Perhaps her mind was too busy with other thoughts to care, but it made her wonder if that had to do with the conversation that happened between Liam and Trinity. Instinctually, she looked around at the remaining people at the party hoping she could find Liam towering over everyone else. But he was no where to be found.

Sylas inhaled sharply after another sip of his drink. His right index finger raised to trace along the bruises while he shrugged in a nonchalant manner. "Demigods are a lot... rougher than mortals. Not that I'm complaining." He smirked in a mischievous way before he downed the remaining contents of his drink. He was more than aware of some of the glares Daniel gave him while he spent time with Evelyn. Although he didn't explicitly say the redhead was the culprit of said markings, he wasn't going to stop the son of Hecate from thinking otherwise.

"You know I just got to say it is good to officially meet you, Sylas. To put a name to the face."

He shrugged and smirked slightly. "Happy to oblige." Sylas slid his left hand into his pocket while the other motioned towards Andy. "I'm sure you're thrilled to have your brother 'back'." His gaze drifted over toward Daniel as he continued. "It seems that your sister here has a habit of being at the epicenter of drama here."

Andy took a slight step back, furrowing her brows. "The hell does that mean?"

"Nothing," he replied. "Just that it might be nice to have someone in your corner. We could always use someone on our side." With his last word, Sylas placed his hand on Andy's shoulder. Before she could recoil he let subtle suggestions flow forth into her. At first he had every intention to give her feelings of guilt. But their touch enlightened him in that... she already was heavily weighed down with these thoughts. That and a juggle between Ajax and Mason.

So instead, he eased some of the guilt. Not much, just enough that Andy would have a nudge to act on impulse rather than worry about her effect on everyone else. The girl didn't know what she wanted. But maybe with one of her walls down, she'd let herself be drawn to Mason like she wanted to be deep down. He could see it in her eyes. And if Mason had Andy... Well, it'd only benefit Sylas in the long term. After all, what goes around comes around. Good karma and all that.

Andy shrugged her shoulder free from Sylas's grasp and took another step back so she was out of arm's reach. "Maybe you should listen to your own advice," she said with a sharp bite to her words.

"I have Mason. Last I checked that was more than you."

Before Sylas could say anything else, Andy pivoted on her heels and walked off. Daniel was more than capable of dealing with that snake's bullshit and just hearing Mason's name set something off in her. She didn't need to linger around and listen to his passive aggressive crap. Instead of joining any of the groups that lingered around the fire eagerly waiting for their chance in the closet, she wondered off toward the refreshment table. She scooped up the nearest shot and downed it, without even checking to see what it was. Just before she went to grab another, her gaze drifted toward the closet as the recent pair exited.

Alex walked out followed by Duke, looking far too content. It wasn't particularly a secret the crush she harbored for the son of Hephaestus. Her gaze met Alex's briefly. Andy groaned and rolled her eyes before turning her back toward the pissy brunette. "For fuck's sake," she muttered under her breath. Maybe it was time for her to leave this damn party and hermetically seal herself in her cabin for the next... decade at least.

The man's eyes were getting heavier by every fleeting minute, and it wasn't Sloane's fault. Sure, her soft spoken nature didn't exactly help keep him awake (it did kind of make him want to go to sleep), but she was his object of focus at this very moment. Liam had many faults, and keeping a woman in the realm of his attention was one of them. It was hard. Keeping boobs in sight? Not all that complicated. That was practically reptilian-brained of him and simple. Sloane required a different kind of attention, and it wasn't that she couldn't possibly be an object of sexual attraction, but moreso that he knew she was different. Did it keep him from getting all excited by Eve? Unfortunately, no. His mistake. He's still working on that.

Yet, she speaks and he doesn't know if he should be working on correcting his piggish nature when it comes to women. He wasn't a mind reader, but curse Ares for not somehow managing to be gifted with such an ability. Some of her words go in one ear and out the other, and that was largely due to confusion. She sent such mixed signals. When his eyes are on her, he swears that she is saying something completely different than the words that are actually leaving her mouth. That thin smile from earlier was certainly enough to raise a lot of concern the moment she imparted it upon him after the Eve incident.

Some things earn a wrinkle of his nose, as much as he tried not to convey the emotion of disbelief or uncertainty through his expressions. "You can do whatever you want, Liam... And hit on whomever you want. I just... didn't want to be a burden, or in the way," she said with closed eyes. She couldn't look at him to tell him that, and that spoke louder than she thought. He took a mental note of that. Don't flirt with anyone else. Check. He remained silent, though, and allowed her to believe that she was right. Women are always right. Right? No. Men just learn when to shut the fuck up.

"I am happier. And I... We were," she noted, and he was glad to hear that at least one of his views of this last 24-hours, or so, were actually correct. "No... I don't want you to be my bodyguard." Not that he'd admit he totally gets a powerful guy feel out of being her bodyguard. He does. He never really needed to protect anyone in his life save for his family, so this other path - the protector, it came with a good feeling. A better feeling than just kicking someone's teeth in. It had... a lasting feeling.

"I do appreciate everything you've done for me, Liam... truly. And... I don't want to leave." And then there was that slight note of hesitance, which he notices. "But, I don't want to be in your way. I have no right to be... uncomfortable about what you do with other women. And if you want me to go... I'll go."

In his own mind, he is picturing giving himself a high-five. She didn't say that she liked him at all. In fact, she keeps insisting that he continue in his conquest of women. However, she said that she had no right to be uncomfortable. Whilst he'd not express it outright, he imprints that word into his brain. Sloane might have even caught a glimpse of a smile. No - maybe a smirk. A knowing smirk - as though he just won something that only he knew.

"You're happy, I'm happy. I think maybe we're both making progress here," he begins after letting her speak and perhaps even stew in the silence that followed her last words. His gaze ventures over to meet her own, and it is lazy, tired, and maybe sort of on the buzzed side. "You want to be here, I want you to be here. The world is simple, Sloane." Liam lifts a hand just a smidge above her leg and then smacks it back down, but very, very gently.

He looks away and tilts his head against the back of the couch. There is a lot of shuffling under her legs, and he's soon sinking back into the furniture to get comfortable; legs spread, forearms resting against her limbs, everything absolutely lax and ready to call it a night. He seemed satisfied, even if she was a little confused about it. Sloane was anything but simple, but maybe keeping it simple would work well for the both of them. For now.

"I'm just..." he trailed off just a bit as his eyes began to close. "I'm just glad we can all agree you'll stay. We got a lot of work to do, Sloane. A lot of work. Bright and early in the morning - you, me, and training. What do you say?"

But by the time she might think to answer, his chest rose and fell heavily as he just allowed himself to drift off to sleep where he sat. He could sleep anywhere.

Nothing says "I hate dad" more than a little bit of angsty rebellion. Right? Liv's steps carried her up the stairs, onto her porch, and then through the door of her cabin. Her sopping wet feet, now caked in soggy dirt, leaves, and other debris that attached to their undersides, tracking all over typically clean floors.

She'll take care of that later. For now? Clothes. She tugged things off and stripped until she left a trail of clothing in the wake of her bitter stomp toward her bedroom. Shirt. Skirt. Underwear. Bra. You name it - it's occupying the floor. She wasn't the messy type, but her mind was going a million miles an hour. It was... beginning to feel like everything had just suddenly clicked. There was no place for certain types of people - for girls that talked to dolphins or meditate on the beach. That's not what Poseidon wanted. She just allowed people to stomp all over her. For the Zeus child to do as she pleased, for her own father to show up when he felt like showing up. It's all annoying, and she found herself agitated by all these thoughts.

Hands carelessly pulled open her closet door; nearly removing them from their already feeble hinges. The gods only know how many times she's been in this spot - angry all of the sudden. Annoyed. Needing to do something to someone but incapable of doing so. One by one, articles of clothing flew off of their hangers and onto the floor or the bed. She finally picked her nightclothes and pulled them on.

Of course, she had brought some beers along with her. Of which had been promptly tossed onto the bed leaving only one in her hand to be drawn from while the angst of being Poseidon's unfortunate spawn took her over.

Liv looked herself over in the mirror, standing there as she judged herself from sole to crown. Her head tilted this way and that, acknowledging all those flaws - both physical and emotional - that seemed to be embodied in this sad, small, unimportant body. She didn't look like a daughter of Poseidon. Did she? She didn't feel like one. She deserved a bit more than just his genes - she deserved his pride and paternity. "Sometimes certain qualities have to die in order for others to shine," she reasoned with herself as polished off the beer in her hand. She crushed the can in her palm, tossed it over her shoulder, and dipped into the bathroom.

A good how-to guide, some music, and a not-so-great pair of scissors snipped away at her hair. The thick dark strands fell into the sink sort of like they do in the movies. It's a cliche move, but there's a reason why. Sometimes a little physical alteration created a sense of newness. The long hair made her feel... like the sort of kind Liv that people sort of knew and took advantage of. The short hair, however, made her feel... older... wiser. It was hard to describe. She wasn't particularly good at it, but she could forgive the odd uneven strands and opt for styling it away later. For now, she snipped away until her hair hovered just above her shoulders. She left everything in the sink - hair, scissors, the remnants of her insecurities. The hesitance. The thoughts that she could easily be some welcome mat for other people.

She's a fucking daughter of Poseidon. That had to mean sometimes, and it's high time that it did. If it meant that others had to be crushed in the wake of her journey of self-discovery, then oh, well. She didn't come to Camp Athens to make friends, and she certainly has done well at keeping everyone at an arm's length.

So, while everyone partied, Liv drank another beer, popped open her journal, and constructed a training plan for the following morning. She would never rival her father's favored sons if she was standing around hating Pete for abandoning her at the beach, or Alex for thinking she could just cut into whatever she wanted. She'll be damned if Trinity thinks she can just beat the shit out of her without thinking twice the next time. Things had to change. Liv had to change. It wasn't going to be a pleasant change, nor would it be an easy one. Yet, she could feel the hatred, jealousy, and haughty desire flow through her like it was there all along - it just needed to be fueled.

Poseidon watched her, as he sometimes does with his children. She'll be glad that he isn't a doting father. None of these Demigods were going to give her anything of value. If she wanted a place of power later, concentrating on herself more would suit her. Even if that means she was on her own.

Liv cleaned her cabin shortly thereafter and fell asleep. She'd have to be up early tomorrow to beat the others to the training area, and maybe even to snatch a moment of peace at the beach.
