The Gods predate man. Their reign powerful, eternal and revered. But since the dawn of the Gods, there have always been those sworn to end Olympus. The golden throne, the seat of the righteous, king of the Gods, Zeus. It is the core of their world. Many seek to destroy it, dethrone Zeus and end the reign of the Gods.

Camp Athens, a safe place for demigods, children of the Gods. A place for them to live, grow and train. That was the intent. The demigods were never supposed to be the warriors for the Gods. Their parents wanted them to grow up safe from the world that threatens to end them. But the ruler of the Underworld, Hades, sought after the golden throne for himself, the demigods had no choice but to fight.

The campers faced many trials that tested them on levels far greater than they ever imaged. It was but the first day of the summer, demigods flooding into the camp, when a minotaur stormed its way through. A distraction while a son of Zeus, Ajax, was stabbed by an Underworld blade and poisoned. When things seemed to die down, it was only the quiet before the storm. Ajax was later taken prisoner by Hades, only set free when his soul was taken from him in exchange for a daughter of Hecate.

And all the while, when some of the most powerful demigods were nowhere to be found, the rest of the campers had to band together to take down their toughest foe… A Hydra. Then there was death… at the hands of a God and at the hands of a daughter of Zeus. It seemed, when at their weakest, Hades attacked.

The war. Something the demigods had been preparing for, but never thought would come. Giants and minions flooded their way onto the grounds of camp. The Gods stood side by side with their children in a fight for Olympus. It tested them more than anything had before… And in the end, they succeeded. But not without great loss. Wounded, weak and broken, the demigods came together victorious.

It’s been a year since that war. New demigods have found their way to the camp. The heroes of the war found ways to cope with their losses and train harder. Although the war is over, no one can rest. Something lurks in the distance, like a storm on the horizon. They don’t know what it is or when it will come… But they must be ready.

WIPs will not be accepted x / / x WIP tends to lead to people assuming they do not have to complete CS. So, due to that I will not accept a character until the CS is completely finished. It helps us and you to have a fully flushed out character before you post. Password 1 : Who was stabbed with an underworld blade?

Demigods x / / x There will only be two demigods per God. This keeps the number of characters at a balanced manageable level. Discussion could be made to potentially add another God, but we don't want to overload the RP. Also the deceased campers will remain, and prohibit the possibility of a new camper their place. Their life and death had significance in the first year of Camp Athens, and for other reasons it is necessary.

Reservations x / / x Reserving a character will be done through the OOC discussion board. All reservations must include the God/Goddess you intend as the parent, FC, how often you are online and average word count per post; along with the answers to the passwords. If you want more than one character you are welcome. But, if you would like to reserve both child of a single god you must ask. Depending on the circumstances it may not work for diversity's sake.

Character Guidelines x / / x Throughout the balancing of the characters, a good mix of male and female roles would be appreciated. That doesn't necessarily mean each God has a male and female child, but that throughout an even amount would help the RP be balanced. Ideally, FCs should look close to the age of your character. Abilities shall be taken from the provided list. If you are wanting your character to have an ability not listed, please contact me and we shall discuss it.

Inactivity x / / x Inactivity and ghosting is a plague in RPG. It seems people cannot stick to RPs for the life of them. I get it, life happens... It happens to all of us. But, we all want RPs to succeed. The first year of Camp Athens made it to the end, but by that day there was only 5 writers out of the numerous that were originally part of the RP. So, that being said, if life happens please just contact us and let us know, we are very understanding. If you're MIA from OOC, posting or PMs without explanation or word, we do reserve the right to write past your character if it's keeping us in limbo. I'd rather you back out of the RP versus disappearing. Password 2 : Which Demigods are deceased?

General Rules x / / x Violence, adult language and adult situations will happen so if you cannot handle that you may not want to join. I encourage romance, it’s fun and we all enjoy complicated romance stories. Kissing and what not is fine, but when this get handsy... or naked. Just fade to black, and have your characters imply it later or whatever. We have imaginations, plus site rules and stuff :p Don’t control someone else’s character without their ok, this includes their NPCs. Also this meant to be fun so please no OOC fighting. Any issues can be directed through me and I'll handle it :)

Son of Zeus || Hex: Green
Daughter of Zeus || Hex: #d63b71

"Next time, shithead, how about you keep that bitch on a leash?"

Before Ajax could even give mason a warning, one daughter of Ares marched on over in their direction and shoved into him which made him drop his hold on Alex who stepped up to his side, her eyes watching the blonde.

Image “Let her go Ajax, she could go another round!” she yelled, locking her fiery gaze on Alex. “I tried to sympathise with you! You have no damn excuse for touching Andy.” Her nostrils flared.

Alex Scoffed, "Right... That's rich coming from the one who can't keep her own hands to herself."

"Al..." Ajax tells her, hoping she won't throw gasoline to the already blazing fire. Trinity turned her attention back onto him with a jab of her finger in his chest. He took a step back and just watched as she laid into him, giving him all her rage. “And you, people expect better of you." Ajax swallowed. it wasn't from fear, it was because most of the camp knew he had leadership issues, and now Trinity thought she could use it against him to cut him down before everyone that was staring on in shock. It wasn't like they hadn't seen drama before, but the way Alex lashed out at Andy, that was the tip of the iceberg with the daughter of Hecate now unconscious before Mason managed to carry her off to the infirmary. "You're supposed to be a leader, but all you see and care about is your sister who frankly, puts the camp more at threat than helps it! You're both out of fucking control. Wake up, Ajax! Your sister isn't the only one who needs you!” she wasn't wrong, and she was only fueled by witnessing her friend being hurt.

"Shut your damn mouth!" Alex growled toward Trinity, causing Ajax to clench his jaw. As he closed his eyes for a second or two to take a deep breath, Trinity pushed her before Alex pushed her right back, shoving the blonde back as hard as she could. His sister seriously needed to learn when to keep quiet. "Push me again.. I dare you!" Alex yelled seconds before Duke walked up to them quickly before another fight broke out. He held out his arms between both girls. "Take it easy. Everybody needs to simmer down." Alex's glared after Trinity, but she remained where she was as Duke slowly lowered his hands, looking between both the parties then rested on the Zeus siblings. "I think you two should go." Ajax nodded and steered his fuming sister away from the rest of the camp and back to their cabin. If he was right at thinking everyone was watching them leave, then he could feel the glares burning into his back as the pair of them walked away, leaving the tension to linger in the air like a bad smell.

Image It was peaceful back at the cabin, so Ajax lightly ordered his sister to take a seat as he grabbed the medical kit from the kitchen to patch her up.

She placed herself down on one of the chairs at the breakfast table, holding out her arm that seemed to be the most cut. "what's gotten into you lately? why are you so destructive all of a sudden? you were proven innocent, so you should have ignored the murder comment from Andy. All you're doing is proving them right about you. They are going to think you're better off away from this place. You'll end up by yourself if you keep pushing people away all the time."

I don't know why I pulled her out of that closet, I just... did."

"Well, this all has to stop, or they're all going to turn against us. Especially our friends, or those that somehow respect us still. Maybe this trip will do us both some good. You especially."

The door opened behind, and as Alex winced in pain from the stuff Ajax was applying to her skin, Duke entered the room. "You two okay?" Duke approached Ajax, patting his shoulder. Ajax sighed heavily down his nose, shifting slightly in his seat before he nodded and dabbed more of the medical stuff on Alex's cuts before placing bandaids over the top. "I can stay here the night, and depart with you two in the morning. I also think you should try to talk to Andy before we go," he added lowly. "Vanishing without a word is only going to make things worse."

Image
"Al, go pack while I talk to Duke... please." for once, she did as she was told. She stood up, looking at them both briefly before heading up the stairs.

Ajax sat there for a moment in silence as he played with his fingers and waited until he heard the door of Alex's room close behind her.

"Stay if you want, but as much as I want to, do you really think she's going to want to see me or speak to me after what just happened?" Ajax looked at him as if searching for that very answer. "As soon as she wakes, Mason is going to be the knight in shining armor after being there for her, sitting by her side in the infirmary while her so-called, whatever I am to her is here, tending to his.... unhinged sister." He hated that word. "And Trinity's right... I'm not fit to lead. All I have cared about, is Alex. I haven't thought about the others much at all. It's why Andy went to him... I've not shown her much love. He has. She was lonely. He reeled her into where exactly he wanted her and knows it will get to me. Should I fight for her? absolutely, but if she loves him, why should I try and convince her otherwise? I don't own her, I just...I don't know what I want. I love her, but... I'm afraid of being vulnerable to her." he quickly wipes his eyes, not wanting to even show how broken he felt lately, along with everything Trinity threw at him. His doubts to lead even stronger since Trinity more than likely spoke for most of them. "...I'll try." he didn't want her to hate him more than she already possibly did.

He handed the medical kit to Duke and thanked his friend before he headed out the door and towards the infirmary hoping she was alright.

Image Alex remained in her room, and just lay there, her eyes fixed on the ceiling as she thought about everything since she came to camp. It was all a mess, and she could tell how much she had changed. If Duke had agreed to stay for the night, at least with him around it would feel normal for both the Valises. Just the three of them like old times. Before Camp. "Duke..." She called out for him, hoping he was still in the cabin. How were they ever going to move on from any of this now? Alex and Andy couldn't exactly avoid each other with being on the same campus, and no doubt everyone hated Alex even more now. Especially her friends who always tried to help.

Image Alex felt like she was drowning all over again. She reached up, stretching her hand towards the surface as the air slowly left her body as the weight of her guilt, anger, and pain pulled her further down to the depth of the ocean.

Wild tendrils wrapped tightly around her ankles. As she sunk deeper and deeper, the voices of those she knew and loved became distant as they began to forget she ever existed.

That was where she'd remain if things didn't change...

Cold, and alone.

Forever.

It took her a little off guard that when she finished speaking, Liam seemed to nearly smirk to himself. Sloane couldn't help but replay everything she said in her head over and over on repeat wondering what she could have said that would warrant that response. Nothing came up, but it still puzzled her. But she didn't let on that it did, instead remaining quiet and patient for him to speak up in response.

"You're happy, I'm happy. I think maybe we're both making progress here," he finally spoke breaking the silence. When Sloane looked up to meet Liam's gaze, she could see the exhaustion that tugged at his eyelids and threatened to carry him off into a deep slumber. "You want to be here, I want you to be here. The world is simple, Sloane." She let out a quiet chuckle as he patted her leg as if it really was that simple. Nothing was, she knew that and he knew that. But in that moment, that particular night she would humor him with a subtle head nod. It was simple, for now.

Liam took a moment to let the silence sink in or perhaps his words. He didn't seem to be in a rush to move from where he sat, rather letting himself sink further back into the couch using her shins as arm rests. "I'm just..." He began to speak, but his eyes closed. Sloane figured it was a matter of time before his eyes closed for good, and would not open until morning. "I'm just glad we can all agree you'll stay. We got a lot of work to do, Sloane. A lot of work. Bright and early in the morning - you, me, and training. What do you say?"

Before Sloane had a chance to answer, Liam's head got heavy resting against the back of the couch while his breathing grew deeper. She had no intentions in arguing his point, but even if she did it would fall on deaf ears. She found herself smiling slightly as she let out a soft sigh and relaxed back into the sofa. For a brief moment she contemplated slipping her legs out from under him and helping the giant into a laying position, but she doubted she'd be able to get free, let alone adjust him in any fashion.

She grabbed a blanket that was draped over the armrest and covered them both with it. Sloane wasn't even fully settled when Rocco trotted out into the living room and pawed at her hand. With a little help, the puppy climbed up onto her lap and found a small spot to curl up in between herself and his sleeping owner. Just as she began to doze off, the sound of thunder rumbling overhead followed by a loud crack of lightning startled not only herself by the small dog. Sloane gently petted Rocco's head trying to calm him as her brows furrowed. She couldn't explain it but something about the sudden storm caused her stomach to churn. And for some reason the only thought that came to mind... was Sylas.

Well, it turned out bright and early was indeed bright as the sunlight poured in from the windows waking Sloane from her slumber. But it wasn't all that early. It seemed that the alcohol took a heavy toll on Liam. As she stretched, Rocco waddled up to her, tail waging, and greeted her with a few slobbery morning kisses. When she finally went to sit up she noticed that at some point during the night Liam shifted to be more on the couch while she used his legs as pillows.

Sloane cleared her throat as she quickly stood up. She spared the son of Ares a glance over her shoulder who remained asleep on the couch. So, rather than wake him up, she stretched once more and then headed toward the door. Rocco slept through the evening but she doubted he could hold it much longer. And since Liam had a strong possibility of a hangover whenever he woke up, she took it upon herself to let him sleep as long as he needed. Once at the door she grabbed Rocco's leash and hooked it to the pup's collar. The little guy sprinted outside the second the door was opened, Sloane slowly following after him. She descended a few of the stairs before taking a seat on the edge of the porch.

Sylas didn't move from where he stood as Alex stormed off in the direction of the closet. He was happy to stand there, a spectator, and watch as the following events unfold. If the circumstances were different, he might have taken more credit for the daughter of Zeus's unwinding. But he only gave the girl a nudge in a direction she was already heading down.

Unfortunately for him, the fight seemed to end quicker than he would have liked. It would have been far more interesting if people would have intervened. Luckily Liam and his sister were long gone, both of whom would have tried to intersect him before he even got to Alex in the first place. It wasn't much, but it was a start. Although the end of the fight concluded far more climactically than he would have expected with a large bolt of lightning throwing the daughter of Hecate along the beach.

It seemed that during all the commotion of the storm and fighting, the quiet one started up her own whirlwind. He squinted his eyes in her direction briefly, trying not to show too much curiosity or irritation. Was she trying to defuse the fight or draw attention to herself? It seemed the mousey blonde was as unstable as the rest of the campers, but she didn't need his help in going over the deep end. It didn't quite match up in his mind though. Why would she react in such a way? Either way, the events had quickly brought a party to an end.

Sylas slipped out while everyone else was wrapped up in the aftermath and started down the path toward the cabins. Several steps in front of him, he noticed a particular red head going in a similar direction. Given the circumstances, he decided to remain back although the temptation to approach her was definitely there. Once the paths diverted, he looked towards the back of Evelyn's head a final time before he headed toward his own cabin.

Wes kept to himself, sitting there quietly as Trinity wondered off into the closet with Iliana. And then before he knew it the bottle was passed off to Mason, which got Andy a second go at the tight quarters. It seemed as though the evening was winding down as people disappeared off into the woods towards the cabins. With a soft sigh, Wes pushed off his seat and made his way over to Trinity. He gently placed his hand on her back to get her attention. "I think I'm going to—"

Before he could finish what he was saying the sky above began to go grey and rumble in a way that only a child of Zeus could have conjured. Wes's gazed scanned the crowd and only found Alex the moment she ripped open the door to the closest and took Andy by the hair, throwing her into the sand. The sky's opened up and quickly covered the beach in a deluge of rain. Wes was on Trinity's heels as she hurried forward to get a better view of the fight.

It was an unsettling sight... Watching his best friend and her best friend going for blood in the sand before them. No one dared get in the middle of it. Both girls were deadly in terrifying ways, Alex with sheer power and strength, while Andy had whatever her mind could conjure up. Some blows were so hard and powerful he found himself flinching. At one point he even considered using his own powers to calm everyone down, but in the end he decided it wasn't his place. Sometimes it seemed that the only way to put a vendetta to rest was to let a little blood be spilled.

The fight felt like it went on for ages and neither of them seemed to lose steam. Finally, it seemed to seize... But, Andy had one final word as she walked away. Murderer was all he heard before the beach illuminated as lightning slammed into the daughter of Hecate. It seemed as though everyone else was quick into action while Wes remained frozen in place, falling quickly to the background. He watched as campers were at each other's throats. Mason looked like he was about to murder the Valises while Ajax tried his best to hold back Alex.

Wes didn't step forward until he saw Trinity bee line for Ajax, giving him a good shove. "Let her go Ajax, she could go another round! I tried to sympathize with you! You have no damn excuse for touching Andy."

"Right... That's rich coming from the one who can't keep her own hands to herself." Wes remained there, a few feet behind Trinity but remained removed. Deep down he hoped that another fight didn't break out. He didn't want to think of Trinity and Alex throwing punches next. He simply remained quiet and vigilant watching as the remaining events unfold.

"And you, people expect better of you." Trinity directed her anger at Ajax next. "You're supposed to be a leader, but all you see and care about is your sister who frankly, puts the camp more at threat than helps it! You're both out of fucking control. Wake up, Ajax! Your sister isn't the only one who needs you!” Things started getting physical as Trinity shoved Alex.

"Shut your damn mouth!" Alex pushed Trinity back, using all of her strength. Wes didn't know if it was lucky or not that he stood behind Trinity. She stumbled back into his chest where he stabled her, keeping the daughter of Ares from falling over. Wes's hands kept ahold of her upper arms, not in a way to hold her back or stop her, because he knew damn well not to get in her way when she was angry, but to just be there. Through their physical touch he could feel her emotions and knew that a lot of it stemmed from her concern for Andy. She was worried.

"Push me again.. I dare you!"

Wes was about to speak up, maybe try to defuse the situation but Duke showed up first, putting himself between them. "Take it easy. Everybody needs to simmer down."

"Hasn't anyone told you that telling people to calm down doesn't help anything?" Wes gave a sad attempt at a smile and chuckle. He wasn't very good at helping keep the peace. But this time, was one of the few times he used his powers. Not much, but enough to sooth everyone. Nothing more.

"I think you two should go," he said toward Ajax and Alex. Then he looked back toward Trinity, even though his words seemed to be geared toward everyone who remained on the beach. "I think we should all retire for the night."

Wes didn't pay much attention to what Duke said. He knew the guy meant well and was doing more than anyone else when it came to ending the fights, but the whole thing was delicate. He slowed moved in front of Trinity, keeping his hands resting gently on her shoulders. "I'm sure Mason has already gotten Andy to the infirmary. If anyone can help her, they can." He let his grip slowly slip from her arms and took her right hand in his left.

There was nothing else he could say, so instead he said nothing. Wes guided her slowly off the beach and through the woods towards the cabins. He remained quiet so she could yell, complain or worry however she wanted and he would listen. When they reached the path that diverted between his cabin and hers, he gave Trinity's hand a gentle squeeze. "If you don't want to be alone, you're more than welcome to stay with me. I can sleep on the couch. And first thing in the morning we can go check on Andy... If anything changes before then I'm sure Mason would tell you."

He then took a step forward, placing a tender kiss on her forehead. "Whatever you need, I'm here." It was a strange place, being in his shoes at that moment. Wes was Switzerland in the middle of a war between people he cared about. For the first time he could see the fragile place Andy has been for over a year now. But regardless of him not choosing sides, he would still be there for Trinity, no matter what.

For once Iliana slept through the night with no issues, so the boys got good rest too. This time the boys were the first to wake up. This was usually the case under normal circumstances. Per routine, they got changed to do their morning job. By the time they were ready, Iliana woke up. Still in her pajamas, she walked into the living room see the them getting water from their min-fridge.

"Good morning, Lia. How are you feeling?"

Seeing she didn't have her notebook, she went to grab it and a pen.

~I am better. What happened last night? My memory is a bit foggy.~

"Andy and Alex got into a major fight. It ended with with Alex electrocuting Andy. I can't remember much else about everyone else because I was focusing on you since you were loosing control. A young woman named Nelly ended up knocking you out, reluctantly I might add."

"Well, I think I saw Mason take Andy somewhere and Ajax did take Alex away. Duke did suggest we all return to our cabins though. It wouldn't surprise me if Mason took Andy to an infirmary or something like that."

Iliana was horrified. For one thing, she couldn't believe she nearly lost it again and almost endangered the lives of others. And having been electrocuted herself, she knew how damaging those kinds of injuries could be. Perhaps there was something she could do to help? She recalled that her mother had created ointment made out of aloe for her electric burns and taught her how to create it since she wanted to focus on healing based plants after her recovery. Apollo had helped of course. Her thoughts veered back to Ethan and Heath when they addressed her.

"Iliana, we're going to go jogging now. Will you be okay by yourself? You're always welcome to join us."

~No thanks. I am going to make some aloe ointment for Andy in case she got some burns. You two go ahead. If you need to find me, just use that tracking stone.~

"All right. We plan on going to the main hall for breakfast where we hope to run into Ajax or even Alex. We need to tell him what you and I saw last night Lia. Remember that it was Sylas who spoke to Alex before she lost it? Both Ethan and I agree it wouldn't make sense for Alex to pick a fight with Andy and go after her so aggressively after being found innocent. Then again, Andy did testify against Alex."

"Still no excuse for going after Andy. But yes, I am still wonder if Sylas had anything to do with Alex's behavior last night. Problem is we don't have concrete proof. Even the day we arrived, we don't 100% know if Sylas had affected Alex in that barn or if she was still affected by that curse that had been placed upon her."

"You have a point. It be unwise to make assumptions though. We still don't know what kind of person Sylas is like."

Iliana tugged on Heath's arm. Looking at his sister, he and Ethan read what she wrote. She talked about her interactions and observations last night that revolved around Sylas, from Cherise's opinion, her recalling how she'd been around Sylas yesterday morning, to Trinity's advice to stay away from him.

"She sees him as a threat huh? Makes me wonder how she came upon that decision. From what I've seen so far, she is someone to anger easily. Did her anger strike you as a genuine concern, Lia?"

Iliana nodded.

~She is volatile for sure, but I trust her opinion in this case because I can't shake this feeling about Sylas. But we are going to need proof as you two have said. Maybe I can ask Trinity if Sylas has done something already?~

"Well I think for now we should go on that run. Jogging always helps me focus. We'll see you later Lia. Be careful," Ethan said before heading out.

Heath said good bye to Iliana and headed out himself.

After getting dressed in her gardening clothes and getting some her supplies, Iliana head for the greenhouse and collected aloe vera before heading back to the cabin. She created the ointment there before taking taking a quick shower and changing for the day. Placing her notebook and pens in a tote bag, she grabbed the small jar that the aloe ointment was in and headed out. She did figure that Mason would have taken Andy to the infirmary. She just wished she knew where it was. Maybe she could find one of the people who worked at the camp? Wondering a bit, she soon came to some more cabins. Her attention was drawn quickly to the figure who was sitting on the porch and something seemed to be moving around her. Curious, Iliana came closer and saw it was a puppy. Looking at the person, she saw it was none other then Sylas's sister. Feeling awkward for a minute, Iliana quickly pulled out her notebook and wrote something down before showing it to the dark hair woman.

~Good morning. My name is Iliana and I am Demeter's daughter. I can't talk so this how I communicate with others. I am new to the camp this year. Sorry to disturb you, but do you know where the infirmary is?~

She couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy about this person, considering she was Sylas's sister, but she wasn't one to judge. Pete didn't seem all that bad compared to his sister, whom she didn't like all that much.

Kohana heaved a sigh as she plopped her last bag on the bed. With her hands on her hips she looked around the new space the camp provided her with. The cabin was decent with mostly just the basics, reminding her of a couple of school sanctioned camping trips. The sun hadn't yet risen, but that didn't stop her from being wide awake and ready to start the day. She turned to the two large boxes and two suitcases perched on her bed. She quickly unpacked her clothes, placing them in the closet and drawers, moving on to the two boxes. One box was composed entirely of snacks and drinks while the other had small decorations and even more snacks.

Once everything was put in its proper place, the place didn't look half bad. Looking at her watch, Kohana saw that about an hour and a half had passed. Rays of sunlight were just beginning to reach through her window. Not wanting to waste a second of the day, Kohana quickly showered and changed into a simple pair of purple leggings (her favorites with the galaxy print on them) and a black and purple sports bra. The talk she'd had with Hermes echoed in the back of her mind as she got dressed. Remember this camp is to make sure you get better. The demigods there are special like you and could possibly help develop your powers. Be careful and aware of your surroundings and the other demigods. Don't assume everyone is who they seem to be. No point in wasting precious training time then. Besides, Hermes promised that there would be someone special here to help her train, but he refused to tell her who. He looked so giddy as he told her, so she wondered why he'd kept that bit to himself. Tease. He knew that was the selling point to get her out there.

Kohana grabbed three granola bars, shoving them in the tight pockets of her leggings. She also took note to grab a small wooden sign. As she closed the door to her cabin, she hung the sign on the door. Engraved in the glossed Koa wood were the words "malama neʻe i mua" which meant keep moving forward. It was a sign her step father gifted to her before she left so she could keep home in her heart while moving in the future. She smiled slightly then walked down the steps.

The morning air felt crisp and smelled of fresh rain. Kohana broke into a decent run, almost a sprint, as she headed to the beach. When she got there, she noticed it was in a state of slight disarray. There were deep grooves in the sand, lots of footprints, and remnants of a bonfire. Kohana shrugged. Looks like I missed a good time. She moved closer to the water and kneeled in the sand. She placed a granola bar on the ground, digging it vertically into the sand just enough to keep it upright. Kohana backed up about fifteen feet and sat in the dry sand. She breathed deeply and began to concentrate on the granola bar. Come on…get over here… She chanted in her head in hopes of the bar teleporting to her.

Indeed, his arms were heavy. They’d no doubt put a burden on the shins of poor Sloane, but he’d also maneuver them naturally throughout their shared sleep on the couch. Eventually, the two of them would be in a comfortable enough position; him still seated with his head thrown back against a wall and body sunken into the couch, and she laid across the couch with her legs over his own and Rocco somewhere in the mess.

Since Sloane was safe right where he needed her to be - with him, he was able to put himself into a nice deep sleep. This meant that he could snore, and snore he did. Well throughout the night, too. He didn’t even hear the ominous notes of tempestuous weather penetrating an otherwise clear and beautiful evening.

Naturally, he would have shifted. No one could really sleep sitting up in that position for long. Yet, he was kind about it - no unwanted touching, cuddling her legs, or anything weirder than everything he had already done. He’s trying to be a hands-off kind of guy (certain scenes that were not totally his fault aside). His subconsciously slumbering state was very aware of Sloane, but also of not smothering her in any way, shape, or form. Whatever position he ended up in, it didn’t matter. He could barely feel the woman’s weight enough to stir.

* * *

A long yawn was accompanied by the stretching of a thick tall body that was perhaps not a good fit for the couch. See, when Sloane left him to his lonesome, he just kind of took up all of the space left behind. Liam’s eyes peeled themselves open at the behest of a slightly annoying headache. Any problems with a woman mixed with alcohol could do that to any man.

As the scene of his cabin went from cloudy to clear as he blinked away the haze of awakening, he couldn’t help but notice that she had left. There was a second of panic that struck him; a deep knot in the pit of his stomach, of concern that he had slept too deeply and far too long. Something must have happened. As far as the beastly man was concerned, his dog was likely still sleeping in Liam’s bed. So, he pulled himself up and off the couch and stood up. He took a moment to stretch, but it was an anxiously fleeting moment because he needed to make sure that Sloane hadn’t been spirited away or decided it was best to just leave. Not that he’d stop her if it were the latter.

He looked here and there, noting that her things were still right where he had last seen them. There was a deep sigh of relief there, only for a heartbeat of a second. How long had he been asleep? It had maybe been thirty extra minutes, an hour. One of the two.

His next steps bring him to the door, pushing it open gently. There she was, sitting there on the porch with Rocco. Of course, Rocco. He was too busy sleeping off alcohol to take care of him, so Sloane had taken it upon herself to see to the hound’s needs. He watched the two of them for a few moments; a hand lifting to his lips where he chewed slightly on a knuckle.

He felt really stupid for being so panicked. Sylas wouldn’t dare. He wouldn’t.

He almost wanted to say something, and hopefully nothing stupid. Just as he was about to go fully through the door, Iliana had come up to Sloane. It wasn’t a good time. The gal always seemed like a nervous nancy, and Liam - well, he made people anxious enough.

He left the door slightly ajar so that he could hear what was going on outside for a few moments, turned away, and headed to the shower. Gods, he really stunk. No wonder Sloane left him on the couch by himself. How she managed to stay there was beyond him. When he made it to the shower, turned it on until the entire room steamed within five minutes, took off his clothes, and stepped inside - he got a good look at how much of a dummy he had been last night. How much Sylas pissed him off. How dangerous he could be to himself.

He clenched and unclenched his hands, took in a deep breath, and just let the exceedingly searing water cascade over him. It would wash away the blood, the sand that had unfortunately settled in unmentionable places, and the stink of alcohol. It was a longer shower than usual, giving Sloane plenty of time to chit-chat before training commenced. Also, the shower is the place where he forms all of his best ideas! With Sloane’s abilities in mind, he is busy scrubbing away and formulating fighting techniques.

Then it was over, he brushed his teeth, let his hair air dry in a tousled mess, and tugged on some clothes. It didn’t match all that well, but he was just going to sweat in it. Maybe.

Now it was time to find clothes for Sloane! And goodness is a man the worst person in the world to pick out a gal’s clothing. Especially workout clothing. Liam and his reptilian brain take the liberty of slipping into the living room, untying one of his duffle bags, and shifting through it until he found things that he liked. He really couldn’t be blamed for this. He’s a man, she’s an attractive woman. He’s a pig. Also, he’s terribly invasive.

He looked through until he could find a sports bra. He even held it up to his chest and had himself a laugh! He really just needed to goof around. Shorts. Shorts. There had to be some short shorts in there somewhere. Ah! Yes. Short shorts - perfect for…. running, of course, without sweating too much.

He wasn't even going to try for underwear. Even his basic animal brain knew that he would be in the dog house for that one.

He stepped out of the cabin and onto the porch, holding up her clothing - sports bra in one hand and shorts in another. "Good morning, Sunshine. Time to turn those noodle arms into... killing machines!" He really had to think about that for a minute.

Her eyes were only on one thing, burning fiercely through Alex as she was pushed back. She barely paid attention to the demigod behind her, holding the top of her arms.

“Push me again.. I dare you!”

She took one step forward to obey the invitation but then Duke was there, being peacemaker and Mr. High Ground. Trinity didn't move until the Valises took off, glaring daggers at them. Then Wes came into view. Only then did she let her eyes soften a little and body relax from fight stance to just tense and drowned. “I'm sure Mason has already gotten Andy to the infirmary. If anyone can help her, they can.”

She looked at their hands, a thousand thoughts swirling in her mind but none that she could express or say. She let herself be led by Wes away from the beach, trying to sort her thoughts and feelings. Had there been an opportunity for things to escalate, Trinity would have aimed to put Alex in a worse condition than Andy.... then where would she be? And she all but ripped faith in Ajax apart.

Wes pulled her to reality again with a gentle squeeze on her hand. “If you don't want to be alone, you're more than welcome to stay with me. I can sleep on the couch. And first thing in the morning we can go check on Andy... If anything changes before then I'm sure Mason would tell you.”

She frowned, not at what he said, not even thinking of Andy's current state, but because she realised the source of her uneasiness and disturbance. “Yeah, that sounds good,” she replied softly.

He stepped forward and placed a kiss on her forehead, forcing Trinity to close her eyes and sigh gently. “Whatever you need, I'm here.” He was being nothing but sweet, but it was like rubbing salt on the wound because of his constant care. Something she was undeserving of.

“I think I’d prefer to be with you otherwise I’ll drive myself crazy,” she admitted with a sad smile. Though they both probably knew that.

Arriving at Wes’s cabin, Trinity tried to ring out her hair so as not to leave big puddles dripping on his floor. Although it was a vain effort. Following Wes's lead, Trinity stopped in the middle of his cabin. “Oh, I actually forgot to tell you I shotgun the couch. Otherwise, we could be bed buds. That's my condition for sleepovers.” She wasn't having Wes sleep on the couch in his own cabin. She shrugged since she wouldn't be budged.

Wes kept her calm and closer was better in this instance. Even if she wasn't accustomed to sharing, and usually liked her time and space alone, tonight wasn't the night. She didn't like being caught up in too much reflection, it proved unhealthy and only stirred feelings of rage. “Can we share the bed? Just for tonight.” Again her voice was soft and hesitant, not used to making such a request.

Once organised and appropriately dried, Trinity climbed into one side of his bed, a bed she would admire the comfort of if her mind wasn't so preoccupied.

Trinity turned on her side facing Wes, looking him over. He really was something special. She took his hand keeping it between them. “Wes, I'm sorry. For...you know, putting you in tough situations. Being so quick for violence and wanting to fight Alex.” To list only a few but there it was. Her guilty conscience partly released.

* xxx * xxx * xxx * xxx *

At some stage she must have fallen asleep. She rolled over and groaned longing to find comfort and sleep again but the sunlight peeking through the room wouldn't permit such a thing, along with her unsettled stomach joining the cause not to sleep in. She sat up with effort, her hair a wild mess, heavy eyes scrutinizing the room and hand over her stomach.

Trinity was in dire need of a shower. She needed to get up and see Andy, treat herself to some breakfast and not hit or push people. Okay, move now, she told her muscles, managing to shift her legs off the edge of the bed, only to fall back in defeat. What was she going to do with herself?

The first thought in her head was not of sleepiness, but of motivation. She wasn't here at camp to make friends or to coax cute boys into the ocean for a swim. She sat up, swung her legs over to the edge, and peered blankly at the mirror. She tried to put on a small smile, but she couldn't. The image staring back at her was stoic, embracing the truth of her volatile, violent, and selfish genetics. It was about that time, and she wasn't going to be able to hide this under false platitudes and gestures forever. She thought she had genuinely cared about people, but the truth was simple - people left, some girls were bitches, and most guys just likes redheads, and apparently really, really, really selfish and off the path women. Sad.

This whole camp was a sad bunch of warped Godly chromosomes that could hardly compare to their mothers and fathers. They were hardly Demigods at all, and this isn't high school.

She pulled herself off the bed and stretched a bit. As her eyes ventured toward a window, she noted that the morning was still quite young which meant that everyone would likely still be asleep. That's great, really. Then she could hit the gym without the Gymbro Liam hogging up all the weights like he owned the place. Gods, he was a real asshole and she would really benefit from putting him in the ground.

She peeled away the thin layers of her nightwear, then went through her gym clothes. She tugged all of that on and topped out with a thin jacket, slipped into her tennis shoes, ran her fingers through her now short hair, grabbed her gym bag, and made her way on out of her cabin.

Along the way, she'd pass by a couple of scenes. There was Liam at the door waving around a ridiculously small sports bra and some shorts. She was surprised that he wasn't waving around a thong, too. There were the little weather girl and Sloane, neither of whom she knew very well at all. Liam's dog. That thing did not like her. In fact, Rocco parked at her as she moved down the path. Rocco knew better than to come up to her though. He could probably sense that she'd kick his stupid puppy face.

She pressed further, veering off into the one place that very few campers - other than Liam, dared to venture. The gym. It was peaceful here with no one around to bother her. She dropped her back on the ground near the squat rack and began to load up the plates. Once the bar was around 100 pounds, she braced herself under it, walked it out, and did her thing.

She forgot how good it felt to hit the weights. Some things had forced the gym to the back of her mind - like everything going on here. All the drama. The boys that are unnecessarily hot. The girls that are unnecessarily bitchy.

Who was she in all of this, though? That question's been bugging her since her last meet with daddy dearest, and she still isn't any closer to the answer than she was when she first got to Camp. What was her role supposed to be as Poseidon's daughter? He wasn't a kind god. He wasn't loved. He wasn't really admired. His qualities were only the worst of the traits. It was surprising that any goddess would marry him, much less give him offspring. He's an awful god with an equally monstrous temper, and Liv could almost feel the same vengeful desires insidiously rolling through her veins.

She turned around to pace toward her gym bag, grab a towel, and dabbed her sweaty face and chest. As she wiped her face down with the towel, she caught a thought on its way to fleeing right outside of her mind - maybe violence, vengeance, and anger was the answer to why she is not yet as great as she could be. She's been... a bit dour for far too long. Liv had allowed all the things that happened to her in the past to make her feel less than or subdued. She should be mad at the people that have wronged her - the boys that left her for dead, Trinity for beating the shit out of her, Alex for just being a - well, you know - bitch.

Liv thought that maybe, just maybe she could tap into something she had never been able to do. As the bitterness swelled in her body and mind, she dropped the towel and raised her hands up to her sides. She closed her eyes, balled up her fists, and thought of the people in her life that had wronged her the most. She imagined that they were something she needed to destroy - images in her head that needed to be defeated. For a few moments, there was nothing. She focused harder, gritted her teeth, pictured them dying. The gym's floor began to rumble and weights and equipment fell onto the floor or toppled over. But that was it - just a small display of power, hardly enough to rouse the entire Camp. She wasn't going to suddenly learn how to make incapacitating earthquakes in the span of one thought.

Poseidon watched Liv from the comfort of his own underwater palace through a tall mirror. His arms were crossed over his chest and his head was tilted. Yet, there was a slight smile creeping over his features. Yes, she should embrace everything he is. And she would, soon. Very soon. He waved the image of his daughter away and called upon his chariot. He hadn't visited Mount Olympus since the botched Trial of Alex. Maybe today was a good time while some gods were occupied with their troublesome children.

Image "Stay if you want, but as much as I want to, do you really think she's going to want to see me or speak to me after what just happened? As soon as she wakes, Mason is going to be the knight in shining armor after being there for her, sitting by her side in the infirmary while her so-called, whatever I am to her is here, tending to his.... unhinged sister." Duke sighed, as if mirroring Ajax’s defeat, because that’s how he spoke, like it was over. I'm afraid of being vulnerable to her."

Duke stared hard at Ajax for some time. Everything coming out of his mouth was sincere but Duke didn’t give love advice, he was hardly qualified. "Don’t let others sink under your skin. I know it’s easier said than done but you have to stick to your own guns. Be your own person. Don’t get sucked into their worlds and views." That didn’t cover his Andy dilemma too well and even Duke felt like the conversing was incomplete. With a sigh, he continued. "Showing vulnerability is a good way to demonstrate trust. You got to stop fighting battles alone, nobody can do it."

There was thickness in the air before Ajax responded. "...I'll try." he finally said.

"At least if you see her you'll know you tried. You're at least giving her the common courtesy." Duke shook Ajax's hand firmly letting him know he still had an unbreakable ally as he took the med kit with his free hand.

Then they parted, Duke stranded with the medical bag in the middle of the Valis cabin. "Duke..." Alex called out for him.

For what he didn't know, but he headed towards her voice hurriedly and flung open the med kit. "What do you need? What's the matter?" She hadn't called him with urgency but his mind went to the worse. Better to be ready that way. He finally looked to Alex, her eyes miles away and staring vacantly at the ceiling. Duke seemed to understand then it was more emotional help than physical help.

He carefully sat on the edge of her bed, looking her over. "Do you want to talk about it?" Not that he was a particularly good therapist but if she needed to talk and unload, he was there.

After the long night and being there for the kids of Zeus, Duke crashed on their couch.

Daniel woke up with a stiff neck and instantly laid his eyes upon Andy. It didn’t look like much had changed but by god was it going to. They needed to speed this healing process up and he knew just the girl. The thought did occur to him last night but it was hardly appropriate to demand her help at such an hour and while it was a little early still, this had to be the appropriate time.

Mason had fallen asleep, cheek atop his crossed arms resting on her bed. Daniel crept out and commenced the search for Cherise, not bothering to snap his fingers for a change of clothes.

The Daughter of Apollo was up in the early morning; just shy of the sun beginning to perk up for the day. She took a familiar path through the woods, which also happened to stop at a cliff overlooking the ocean. She loved to take a moment to breathe in over that scenery. It was peaceful and calm and perfect for a little self-reflection. Right now Cherise was a tad puzzled. Daniel. Keith. Whoever he was really - broke her into something she wasn't quite ready for. Prepared for? Would she ever have been? As her chest heaved heavily from the run, her gaze drifted out toward the calming waters to run through her thoughts on the matter. Should she care? She didn't know him enough, and she was almost certain that a lot of contexts was missing. There was nothing she could do about it now.

She turned away from the vista and headed back toward her cabin at the same jogging pace, speeding it up a tad to get to breakfast. Gods, she was starved.

Who else would be up and at ‘em? Daniel smiled taking a moment to enjoy the view. She was committed and fit and beautiful and – no. Andy needed them. He was on a mission. Daniel ran to catch up but the girl kept moving and Daniel was on a time strain. He didn’t have time to play chase for once. He raised his hands and cast a little spell, then pulled gently to guide her to him. Only the energy vacuumed her back too suddenly like a giant vortex. Daniel caught her hips, stumbling back a few steps upon impact and was fortunate not to get a headbutt or mouthful of hair. "I got you," he assured then sighed out in relief.

Cherise didn't have a moment to gather her right mind in this situation. The feeling of something tugging at her out of seemingly nowhere was fucking startling. When she was pulled into Daniel, of whom had her by the hips, she looked up with that wide-eyed look of shock. If he wasn't so cute, she'd slap the hell out of him right now out of pure surprise. "You do have me, Daniel. I think that my heart almost pounded right out of my chest, so - thanks for that." She laughed at that a bit to ease any nervous tension.

There was a lot of awkward tension. She wanted to touch him, she didn't want to. Yet, here he was holding onto her. It was... quiet. Too quiet. It was almost as if she was in a weird place and she had no idea how to get out of it, or if she needed an escape at all.

The adrenaline of either his powers being rusty or Cherise against him, only made situations worse. His heavy breathing made his chest push up on her more until he realized he was still holding onto the girl for beyond what was necessary. They both had their balance. He cleared his throat and put his hands up in surrender - well in this instance more claiming innocence and backed away. Cherise tilted her head at this. Gods, she was so confused.

"Hey. You look good. But I can't get sidetracked," he voiced aloud snapping himself out of it. "Uh, Andy's injured and you're the only healer I know and trust." It might have lacked the "ease everyone into it" factor again, but it was hardly the time to tiptoe or go the long way about a topic. Everybody at the beach knew what happened... The others, that already left the party and went to their cabin, didn't, Cherise among them. Damn it. "Please," he added, pleading she'd pick up on his urgency.

She blinked at this. No, he didn't have a way of easing people into things, and he had that quality that was also reminiscent of Keith - quickly-paced talking without allowing her much input. Perhaps it was luck that Cherise is an extremely easy-going gal that trusted he would give her all the missing details whenever he felt like he could. Or should. Whichever, it didn't bother her much at all.

Just as Cherise parted her lips to utter a few words, Daniel took her hand. "I'll tell you details on the way." He said as he began to pull her along, a few paces off from breaking into a run. "Andy got beaten, electrocuted and hurled into a tree headfirst. She looks like hell and she probably feels worse. She uh..." his brows pinched together, recalling his sister's vulnerable state. "It's like you could blow on her and she'd be in pain. She needs you."

Oh, but -," she began, already feeling a little winded from her run. On that same note, she understood his urgency even though she wasn't sure who his sister was. Not that it mattered, of course. She's a daughter of Apollo, and this is her duty to the other campers. Not to mention the fact that the practice was certainly needed and people weren't getting injured as much here. She tries to remind herself that it's a good thing, but it doesn't give her a lot of room for improvement. Nevermind - whatever she had to say wasn't worth the breath it would take. He must know that she wasn't the greatest healer yet if his own wound was any indication of her depressing skill in the area.

His racing legs had got them back in no time. Before pushing open the med hut, he paused, half glancing over his shoulder back at Cherise. "I need you."

She gave him her best reassuring smile, "I'm here, Daniel. Don't worry about it. If I couldn't do it, I suspect that my father would have been here by now."

No more needed to be said as they arrived at the infirmary and Daniel led Cherise to the foot of the bed that mattered most. Only then did he let her hand slip from his, anxious for the daughter of Apollo's evaluation. His gaze flickered nervously between his sister and Cherise, aware it was a big ask but she was their best bet.

Shifting to Mason, he had hard blue eyes set on Cherise and even shot an accusing look at Daniel. "This is Cherise. She's here to help." Mason's mind always automatically went to someone being an enemy or Valis groupie but the daughter of Apollo had a mind of her own. Daniel would have assured Mason of that - if not for Andy and it being seemingly out of context. Cherise didn’t need to play a part in their personal war or explain herself.

Cherise just offered Mason a small nod. There was not enough reason to not be cordial, even if his attitude bothers her a bit. She slipped away from Daniel and made her way to Andy. "Maybe you two could go shower, get some breakfast? You know, do anything but sit here and watch me?" It sounded like a question, but it was more like a demand painted with genuine sweetness and punctuated with a smile.

That was an even bigger ask of Cherise and an exchanged glance said both men felt that way. Daniel was the first to fold, figuring it’d be less pressure for the daughter of Apollo. "I guess three’s a party..." He turned on his heel to leave expecting Mason to follow but he didn’t budge.

Under at least one expectant gaze, Mason scraped his chair away from direct bedside without leaving the seat and folded his arms across his chest as he resettled. "I’m good, actually. Just pretend I’m not even here," he offered Cherise with a cold smile.

Her eyes swiveled to Mason, but she didn’t bother returning the frigid expression he tossed her way. Instead, she offered him an extremely thin smile - strained, even. There was good in everyone, she reminds herself. Even the assholes of camp. For all she knew, he was probably scared, so Cherise was kind enough to take that into account.

He didn’t exactly want Andy to come to full consciousness with a stranger, and if things went south then the last resort would be ready. It was always better to bring back the newly dead.

Daniel gave a little nod to himself, assuring himself it’d be okay. "I’ll be back soon. If anything changes, better or worse, come get me.” Cherise looked away from Mason for a second and smiled warmly at Daniel. She even waved goodbye. Then he left, and she got right to work.

Mason pressed his tongue to his cheek, studying the new demigod. She didn’t look sure of herself but an amateur was probably the best they could fetch.

She turned her back to the son of Hades, her gaze sweeping over Andy in assessment of all her injuries. Hunching over just a bit, she proceeded to lift parts of her clothing - unabashed by the nude flesh in any way, shape, or form - and she trusted Mason to be mature about it. Her brows knit together, the signs of a Human body forced to endure a lightning strike on her skin - the wavy Lichtenberg lines. "These will be temporary. They will go away on their own. What I want to see is what’s going on inside of her head right now."

Cherise moved to the head of the bed and placed both of her hands on either side of Andy’s head. She closed her eyes to focus more clearly. Something in her gut felt off - as though something was wrong with the woman’s brain itself. Trauma, and that was to be expected when hurled into a tree head first by the daughter of Zeus.

"Trauma to the brain, lesion from the lightning," she tells herself, not sure where she is coming up with these medical terms off the top of her head. It was all being whispered to her somehow - maybe it was Apollo, himself, guiding her. Or maybe this was just exploring her power deeper.

She opened her eyes and looked over at Mason, "I will heal this damage first. Some things will mend secondary, but they will mostly be surface wounds. She has some bone damage as well, but she may need to have more than one session with me. Or I can call my father to help. It’s up to you."

It was hard to distinguish when she was talking to herself or when she was talking to him, but a sure indicator was when Cherise palmed off some responsibility to Mason. Suddenly, he missed Daniel. "I’d say try not to get the Gods involved. But if you can bring Andy around…it’s her decision."

That said, she rubbed her hands together until they grew warm. A bright, sterile white light began to envelop them as she took a deep breath in and slowly released it. She could do this. Cherise placed her hands back onto Andy’s head and allowed the warmth of Apollo’s light to touch her skin, penetrate it, and eventually fill the cerebral cavity. It worked like the god’s own fingers performed what would normally be a very precise and tedious neural surgery - it removed any hemisphere lesions, helped to heal the contusion she had undoubtedly received from the impact of her head to the tree. At the very least, Andy would be able to awaken.

Moments ticked by - seemingly long ones for Cherise. Some of the healing light slithered through the two major blood vessels in Andy’s brain, and normally they bring the blood up - but Apollo’s gift fought the resistance and it spilled throughout the rest of her body. It was only a small amount, however, as Andy’s head required a great deal of healing as the major source of - well, everything Andy needs for her body. Some of the scratches and bruises on her face would diminish, as well as other scrapes and cuts everywhere else.

When Cherise removed her hands, Andy would be able to wake. She’d still have the pain of fractured or broken bones, whichever there were, but Cherise wasn’t her father. She couldn’t heal everything in one go. She stepped back, the light dissipating, and waited to see if the woman woke.

While some people when they're unconscious might hear and sense the world around them, it was different for Andy. In her mind it was after taking a nap that lasted much longer than expected. Her mind awoke before the rest of her body and she felt like she was in a strange dream-like state. On one hand it felt like no time had passed since the beach but on the other, it also seemed liked years. Then all at once, it was like the consciousness overwhelmed her. She inhaled sharply, pushing off the bed to sit upright. The fast movement caused a head rush, halting her.

The son of Hades sprang up rigid in his seat when Andy did. He wasn’t one to get his hopes up, even when Cherise was under such a watchful gaze. But she was finally awake and that was a start.

Andy groaned softly, letting herself lean back against the back of the bed with a sigh. She raised her hand to rub her head softly as she looked around. At first, she was met by a brunette girl that she couldn't recall having met. "What happened?" Her memory was foggy. She vaguely remembered the party at the beach, her falling out with Ajax and Daniel's return. She scanned the room until her gaze fell upon Mason who looked like he hadn't moved from that spot all night. She could feel the redness rising to her cheeks as memories of other events came flooding back into her mind.

After a moment of silence, Andy finally looked back to Cherise, glancing between her and Mason. "Why am I here? I remember a fight." Her brows furrowed as she searched her mind for what had passed. "... But I thought I walked away?"

Mason couldn’t help but scoff and stood up to rejoin Andy’s side. "You did. You just got electrocuted on the way." But Mason didn’t want to start his morning so bitter on those idiots and Andy should have saved her energy too. "How do you feel? The doctor here says you might experience a bit of pain still but…as long as it’s manageable." Mason guessed if it was a bother to Andy he’d try the human method and steal some pain killers or something.

He cleared his throat sparing Cherise a glance. "Thank you, by the way.” Then his eyes fell back on Andy. Did he apologize to her for being a potential cause, explain Ajax chose his shitty sister’s side again or let her make her own sense of things?

When it became just the two of them, Mason sat at the foot of her bed. It was probably best to avoid drama and stress while she healed but it was an eventful night. "Do you wanna talk about last night?" Any of it. The kiss or hours she was unconscious. It seemed like the right thing to ask because who wouldn't be curious about it all.

It was a calm and quiet morning. Sloane noticed a storm at the tail end of the evening the previous night when her and Liam were already back at his cabin. But you wouldn't know that even a drop fell by the state of the day. The sun was out and warm, while a soft breeze rustled the leaves and tossed her slightly knotted hair around her face that she didn't bother brushing when she woke up. Rocco had taken to finding a stick and bringing it to her, which she then promptly tossed and watched him chase after it.

Perhaps on his seventh or eighth time returning, Sloane heard soft footsteps approach. She knew that Rocco was a secret, or Liam made it seem that way. She wasn't sure what kind of remanding could happen if the wrong people discovered the pup. She snatched up the little ball of energy, hoping to hurry inside with him but the quiet blonde already saw him before Sloane could even manage to get to her feet.

The girl stood there awkward and quiet for far longer than what would be considered a comfortable silence. It was enough to make Sloane shift uncomfortably and her brows furrow. But finally, the blonde pulled out a notebook, which only seemed more confusing, and began to write. If she continued writing for much longer, Sloane would have stood up and snatched the pad from her hand. She had no idea what the girl was writing, but after standing there, staring awkwardly, it felt like she was being observed like an experiment. Either way, she didn't appreciate it in the slightest.

Maybe the girl sensed Sloane's discomfort or who knows, but she then turned the notebook around revealing what she had written. "Good morning. My name is Iliana and I am Demeter's daughter. I can't talk so this how I communicate with others. I am new to the camp this year. Sorry to disturb you, but do you know where the infirmary is?"

It had seemed since her time at this camp that people had no issue coming straight up to her and starting conversations. Sloane has never been known to be the most friendly nor talkative. And to the best of her knowledge, her resting bitch face tended to match. She held Rocco in her lap making sure he didn't run away as her brows pulled together. "I have no idea," was all she managed to force out. Her knowledge of the camp was little to none. She could find her way to the beach, main hall and old cabin, but anything else she had no clue.

Then as if on cue, Liam stepped out onto the porch. His presence made Rocco jump from her lap to run over to his owner happily. Sloane glanced over her shoulder to see the giant holding up a pair of her shorts and... her bra? "Good morning, Sunshine. Time to turn those noodle arms into... killing machines!" Her cheeks turned bright red and eyes widened.

Before he could have the chance to say or do anything else embarrassing, Sloane jumped up to her feet and snatched the clothes from his hands. "I need to shower," she concluded before scurrying inside and toward the bathroom. It didn't quite cross her mind until she was in there and the water was running that she left Iliana standing there with Liam. But either way, she was no help. Perhaps he would be, or not. Either way, she didn't want him airing out her undergarments for the world to see.

Sloane didn't waste too much time getting clean. Enough that it could be assumed that Iliana was no longer lingering outside the cabin and Liam had probably migrated inside. She wasn't a fan of wearing something so revealing. When was the last time she had her mid-drift visible to anyone other than herself, let alone a group of someones? It seemed that her entire time at camp was designed to test her boundaries and get her outside her comfort zone. That was a success at least.

With a sigh, she pulled her hair back into a ponytail to keep it out of her face and adjusted her clothing once more for good measure. Then she walked back out into the living room to find Liam waiting for her. "As ready as I'll ever be."

“I think I’d prefer to be with you otherwise I’ll drive myself crazy,” Trinity replied to his proposition quietly with a sad smile.

Wes hoped her expression was in regards to the current situation rather than the idea of staying with him. But regardless, he was going to be there for her. For some reason, when it came to her, his own feelings or needs were the last thing on his mind. That was a dangerous way to think. But in his eyes, she was everything. So, he nodded his head as he gently put his arm around her and lead them to his cabin.

Once there he watched her try to ring out her hair. He gave a weak smile while waving his hand in a nonchalant manner. "Don't worry about it. It's just water. It'll dry."

“Oh, I actually forgot to tell you I shotgun the couch. Otherwise, we could be bed buds. That's my condition for sleepovers.”

He sighed as he shoved his hands into the front pockets of his jeans, looking down at the ground. Part of him wanted to argue. She nearly had a fight with Alex, who coincidentally put her best friend in the infirmary. If anyone had a need for the bed it was her, not him. But Wes had also quickly learned that any argument with Trinity was a lost battle. So he said nothing, and simply nodded his head in silent agreement. Although he didn't agree to not move her to the bed once she was asleep. Trin could yell at him in the morning.

“Can we share the bed? Just for tonight.”

Trinity's voice was so quiet and almost sheepish that it took him by surprise, nearly more than the request itself. But Wes didn't let that show on his face. He simply looked up and gave a reassuring nod of his head, while gently stroking her arm. "Of course. You're always welcome. Whenever you need... or want to be." He added the last comment a little softer, but felt she needed to know. It wasn't a proposition for sex but just the presence of someone who cared about her while she slept. She would always be welcome in his cabin or bed, and not just when she needed comfort... But if she simply just wanted to be close to him.

While Trin got comfortable in bed, he grabbed a t-shirt and shorts, changing outside the bedroom so she wasn't uncomfortable. Once she was settled, Wes slid under the blankets taking the other side. She slowly turned to face him. He couldn't fight the small smile that crossed his face as she took his hand in hers. “Wes, I'm sorry. For...you know, putting you in tough situations. Being so quick for violence and wanting to fight Alex.”

Wes's new arm rose. He was very slow with his movements being careful not to hurt her as he stroked Trinity's cheek. "You won't scare me away that easily." He gave a soft, light hearted laugh. Then after a moment he let it fade slightly as his tone became more serious. "She hurt your friend. I don't blame you for what you did. I'm not upset with you."

He leaned in, moving slow enough for her to stop him if she wanted. When she didn't, Wes gave her a simple and tender kiss, something more reassuring than words. He wasn't sure if the ground they stood on was stable or a slow slippery slope. But either way, Wes was going to fight for it until there was nothing left to fight for. In his time at camp he has grown to learn and accept Trinity's walls she has put up to protect herself and how she pushes people away. But he was still there.

"Get some sleep," he said as he tucked her hair behind her ear. "I'll be right here."

* * *

Wes slept lighter than he usually did. It was a restful sleep, but he was always somewhat alert with Trinity in his bed. Part of it was to be able to be there if he was needed. But another part of him, deep down, was scared that in the middle of the night she would leave him. But when morning came and Trinity groaned as she awoke, he found himself sighing softly in relief that she was still there with him.

Trinity managed to sit up and move her legs over the edge of the bed, but seemed in no rush to move. After a moment or two, Wes scooted closer to her, propping himself up on his elbow. His other arm gently wrapped around her waist as a silent gesture to show that he was there if she needed to talk... or whatever. He placed a soft kiss on her exposed arm before resting his chin on her shoulder. "We can stay here and ignore the world for as long as you want," he said while giving her a gentle squeeze. "Or we can head straight to the infirmary."

He slowly shifted in bed until he was sitting beside her. "You're more than welcome to borrow a shirt or the shower." Wes squinted his eyes slightly as he thought. "I don't really know what I have in the realm of food, or I'd offer to make you breakfast." He laughed softly, giving a playful shrug.

Mason stood up once she spoke and came to her side. He scoffed at the question. "You did. You just got electrocuted on the way."

Electrocuted? Her right hand raised to touch her forehead as the word recalled vague memories of it. Her brows furrowed as she winced slightly at the recollection of the incident. Andy called Alex a murder. She remembered that. And Alex's scream. She didn't know what she said, but just the searing pain... Then nothing. She closed her eyes taking a deep breath.

"How do you feel? The doctor here says you might experience a bit of pain still but…as long as it’s manageable."

Andy was so focused on everything else, she hadn't paid much attention to how she felt. And how did she feel?... Sore. She tried stretching and moving a little. Her joints felt like she just finished a train lifting contest. And her head felt heavy. "I've had worse," she managed to jest, even giving Mason a playful smile. "She'll have to try harder if she wants to kill me."

Mason then cleared his throat and looked towards the brunette girl still in their presence. "Thank you, by the way.”

Her brows furrowed, taking a few moments longer than normal to connect the dots. But Andy had never seen Mason thank anyone besides herself and Daniel maybe. "You helped... Didn't you?" It was more of a rhetorical question so that she didn't feel ungrateful or rude. "Thank you. I don't know why you'd help me, but I appreciate it." Under normal circumstances Andy would have introduced herself and made small talk. But at the moment, she could barely sit up. She hoped the girl would forgive her for not being as friendly as she normally would.

Then, once the miracle healer left, Mason sat at the foot of the bed. She was thankful to have him close, but at the same time it felt so far away. "Thank you for being here when I woke up." Her voice was barely above a whisper. "I'm sorry that you keep having to save me." She smiled weakly, tilting her head to the side slightly. Although her arms rested on the bed, the fingers on the hand closest to him wiggled subconsciously, silently beckoning him to move a little closer.

"Do you wanna talk about last night?"

Andy's gaze scanned the infirmary, like she could feel other eyes on her. They have had several private conversations, that was nothing new. But they were out of the safety of their cabins and all the proceedings of the night before were rocky subjects for more than just them. Andy wasn't worried about herself. Alex didn't scare her. Although, another fight in her current state would almost certainly send her straight to the Underworld. She worried more for Mason. Knowing him and the look in his eye, he was one wrong word from murder. She didn't want that on his conscious, especially because of her.

"I do," she said quietly. "I want to know everything that happened after..." Andy waved her hand in a general fashion as if to mean whatever passed after she lost consciousness. She then paused for a long moment, far longer than what would be considered a comfortable silence. "And what's going on in that head of yours... the truth." Her gaze was soft, understanding and patient.

After what happened in that closet, things were different. Regardless if they wanted it to be or not. Before that, Andy could ask for the truth from Mason, to know what he was thinking... or feeling, but he wouldn't answer or turn it around on her. But things were different. She wanted... needed to know what he was thinking. If anything, this conversation was long overdue. No yelling, or arguing, just talking.

Her fingers once again wiggled slightly as her arm stretched out toward him. But she couldn't reach him. Andy slowly looked up into his eyes. Mason was going to have to meet her halfway.

Image "I've had worse," she joked, smiling to accompany the statement. "She'll have to try harder if she wants to kill me."

Mason grunted, untaken by the challenge and her great attitude for once. But he didn't need to lecture her, especially when his body language was already disapproving. She didn't see herself before Daniel's new friend got in. Looked like Alex came pretty close.

Andy turned her attention to the healer. "You helped... Didn't you? Thank you. I don't know why you'd help me, but I appreciate it." Mason eyed the new brunette head to toe. She looked like a do-gooder that did things simply because it was right, but even so the heal wasn't mending a small wound and required sufficient focus and energy. At least he imagined it took a bit. Whatever the case, it looked like work and her job was done so it wasn't his problem.

"Thank you for being here when I woke up." He nodded. How could I not? "I'm sorry that you keep having to save me."

This time she got a smile out of him. "I like the leverage it gets me," he replied and smiled more. He shifted slightly, making his body face Andy, speaking more seriously. "You'd do the same for me." Somehow, Mason wholeheartedly believed Andy would be there for him too.

"I do," she said quietly. "I want to know everything that happened after..." she made a vague gesture but Mason was already looking off in thought. There was a long silence until her voice emerged again. "And what's going on in that head of yours... the truth."

He sighed out thinking where to even begin. "I don't know if you were unconscious when you hit your head or from the lightning strike itself. But you were in bad shape....a lot of people were scared." Mason nodded to another empty seat by Andy's bedside. "Daniel was here all night with you too. But um I got a million curses to join my father in Tartarus and death, took you here. Pretty sure the party disbanded after that." He gestured to her gown. "They had to get you dry and changed. Soon as it's okay, I'll get you out of here." Normally Mason would have jumped at the chance to rebel and get Andy to her cabin but she was frail. Liked or not, Andy was staying until they got the all-clear even if it was from underqualified staff.

As for the second part, what was going on in his head, that was always a mess and indecent. But he knew he couldn't avoid it, because she wouldn't let him and he owed her a little truth. He looked around the med hut. "At the moment I'm just worried about you." Knowing Andy, that was too vague. "I know you're strong and resilient but I don't want to be the cause of you getting hit by Zeus' kids again." He might not have been the sole cause but he played some factor of the tension Andy and Alex harboured for each other.

"I can't get the closet out of my mind either," he added. In no course of history did people kiss their friends with that much desire. That's what his mouth and body gave away in that confined space and he knew it'd put a kink in their friendship for a while. It'd be easy to blame the alcohol and sweep it all under the rug but Mason didn't have that much and while he did taste a bit on Andy's lips, she was mainly coherent. But inside, she was experiencing turmoil

It must have been in his peripheral or subconscious because he slid one of his hands forward and entwined his fingers through Andy's. "Maybe I shouldn't have kissed you. I know you're going through a couple of things and it was bad timing." Mason watched their hands for a second before meeting her eyes. He didn't say sorry though, and Andy knew he was particular about his apologies and gratitude. "I care about you a lot and I'm going to do my best to be here for you."

Even though the daughter of Hecate told him to be truthful, he wasn't going to drop the full L bomb on her. She had enough shit to deal with and Mason needed to give her room to sort herself out. But if she ever needed him or wanted him, like he said, he'd be there.

Cherise was beginning to feel the haze of her underqualifications, as was so elegantly put in Hade's narrative. Her eyes shut for a brief moment, but she didn't want to seem as though she had been taxed with something that was a little bit more beyond her abilities than usual. It was bad enough that she couldn't seem to heal someone completely as her father could. As soon as the pain numbing effects of her magic wore off, Andy was likely to feel if there was anything broken.

Her attention perked up as she was addressed by the both of them; the Hades spawn first, "Thank you, by the way.” She offered him a small, kind smile because that must have been hard for him to choke out. Especially since he was kind of an ass at the party - not obviously, but she knew that he was being a dick while she had spoken to Iliana. "You helped... Didn't you?" Cherise didn't answer because it was pretty obvious that it was less a question and more a realization. "Thank you. I don't know why you'd help me, but I appreciate it."

"It's what I am here for," she assures. By the way they were struggling to figure out why she was helping them, she knew that she had to say something. Anything. Cherise wouldn't be herself if she didn't offer a bit of this or that in the form of reassurances and whatnot. "Not all of us are selfish or wanting to cause some kind of harm. We are all in this together, so... if you need me any further, I am here. For both of you. My friend Rae is, too, as off-putting as she can be. We are good people, that's why we help. There is no other reason than that. Truly," she finishes, then allows the couple some privacy by backing out everso slowly whilst looking at Andy, "You may need pain medication because I needed to heal your head first, and there was... a lot of damage. I'll come to you and heal the rest a little bit later?" Or maybe she should just ask her father. Gods, she was not good at this.

Then again, she's never had that many opportunities. Here, it would seem that she will get plenty of practice giving all of the injuries she has seen in such a short span of time.

Eventually, Cherise had vanished completely and made for her cabin. She had considered, for a moment, finding Daniel - buuuut, she wasn't sure that she smelled decent. Besides, if Rae has it her way, the pair of best friends will be training in no time. Though, technically, Cherise already had some training!

Speaking of the devil....

Rae awoke, tangled with the lay from last night - Pete. She sat up, wiped the blurr from her eyes, and dragged herself out of the bed with a long and sort of noisy yawn. Nothing that would cause the man still in her bed to wake up; and she wasn't going to bother with getting him up either. She's not his mother.

She forced herself to the bathroom so that she could shower, does so, and then gets out to find clothes. She hangs out, dripping wet, in front of her dresser going from this shirt to those pants plagued with indecision. Finally, she chose something that her mother gave to her - a pretty timeless outfit with a pair of special braces; one for herself, the other for Cherise. They were both decorated differently; one ivory and embellished with the moon and the other gold with the sun.

That gave her the most perfect idea! It was time to brush up on archery training, and she was going to locate Cherise to do just that. The Sunchild needed a little non-boy time to clear her head anyway, or so that is how Rae had felt last night.

After about twenty minutes of pulling tight leather over her figure, zipping up her heeled boots, making sure her hair was perfectly wavy, placing on her bracer, and snagging a quiver to strap against her thigh, she was well out the door. She grabbed her bow on the way and snatched up some raven-fletched arrows to go.

***

Rae's steps were like cats paws; quiet, and her gait predatory and sly. All of this, however, without malice. When she was close enough to Cherise's backside, she announces herself with that typical matter-of-factly tone, "It doesn't look like you are coming back from a run, my dear Sun Child."

Cherise jumped! Why was everyone catching her unaware this morning?! "Rae! You scared the hell out of me, Gods!" she huffed, but the pair of gals ended up laughing. Cherise a bit more weakly so than usual. To be honest, she was beginning to get a little concerned over the number of injuries sustained in a short time. Sylas had some sort of contusion around his neck and his cabin had been in a state of... disarray. Then it was Andy, and she didn't really know the woman. Not that any of it mattered. She didn't know Sylas, either.

Rae's eyes narrow slightly, and her head tilted. Something was wrong. Silence came between them for a while as they neared Cherise's cabin, dipped inside, and a shower commenced while Rae made herself something to drink before putting together her pal's training outfit. Their gear should be sexy yet functional. You know, Cherise needed to get her boy toy's attention a little more. More than a particular redhead, anyway.

At least, Rae thought that was perhaps the issue here between the two of them. If Cherise told her about the Keith/Daniel incident, she honestly couldn't recall. Maybe she hadn't been paying attention. You know, cute boys with shaggy hair will do that to a gal every now and again.

When Cherise popped out of the shower and into her room wrapped up in a cozy towel, Rae eyes her rather sluggish posture. "Long night?" Rae inquired, plopping her ass onto the bed.

A sigh fell from Cherise's lips as she locked eyes with Rae, "Long morning, Rae. Just... a long morning. People aren't who they say they are, everyone is getting hurt in some way. I am not sure that this is the right place for me if I am honest. There's too much -" but she couldn't find the words to make that thought complete. "Everything's just too much in two days. You know?"

Rae chuckled a bit and nodded her head slowly, "I get it, Cherise, but you remember what our parents told us. Right? We are here for a reason, and whatever you are going through right now - maybe that's your purpose." A shrug rolled through her shoulders as she tossed items of clothing to Cherise, of which were tugged on with unspoken compliance and knowing that they were headed out to train.

"Of course, you're right. I mean, things aren't that bad, but everyone is so... defensive here. It's awkward. It feels worse than being a teenager!" She laughed at herself and turned to look into the tall mirror to evaluate and fix her attire. Rae slithers on over and offers to braid her hair whilst they continue their conversation. Somewhere midway through their gossiping, none of which mentions Daniel, Andy, Mason, Sylas, or Alex - Cherise has her turn to braid Rae's hair. You know, girl stuff.

It takes about an hour or so, but the duo eventually makes their way deep into a wooded area where Cherise had stumbled across a small clearing of sorts. It seemed to have gone unused for quite some time, as the girls found themselves having to remove some brush and dust from the targets.

Nelly yawned loudly as she stretched. Her first thoughts were on what happened last night. Talk about a rollercoaster. At least she hadn't gotten caught in all the drama that happened. It had been a shame things ended on a sour note. She sure hoped Andy was okay. Granted what Alex had did was uncalled for, but Nelly was willing to hear the girl out to hear her side of the story. Deciding not to worry about it, Nelly got out of bed. Normally she would doing some morning yoga, but for some reason, she decided to go for a job. She hadn't done that in awhile. Getting into some running gear, she grabbed her small camera just in case she saw something interesting. Putting that in a fanny pack, she grabbed a bottle of water from her small fridge, put on some sunscreen, and took off. She could have easily gone for a quick sprint, but had learned to control her impulses. She soon found herself near the beach again and soon saw a figure up ahead. Coming closer, she saw it was someone she had never seen before and she looked to be kneeling. Was she a new camper also? Jogging up to her, the redhead smiled.

"Good morning! Are you new here? My name is Penelope Givens, but you can call me Nelly. What are you doing?"

When the young woman told her she didn't know where it was, Iliana sighed. Maybe she could find some camp staff then. She was about to leave when that huge guy she say before came out with some feminine garments. Iliana's face turned red at the site of the bra. The dark haired demi-goddess was obviously embarrassed too for she quickly grabbed them from the guy and went inside the cabin. Oh great, now she was all alone with someone who definitely intimidated her. Looking at the muscled man, she really didn't know what to say to him. She recalled he had hanged around Sylas's sister last night. Didn't he even sit around Trinity also? She couldn't recall exactly. She definitely remembered him from the trial. Scolding herself for being a coward, Iliana finally found the nerve to write something down on her notebook.

~Good morning, I am sorry for interrupting. I was just looking for the infirmary. My name is Iliana and can't talk so this is how I communicate. I'll leave you two to your business.~

With that she left. It took her a few minutes but she finally found some camp staff that pointed her to the infirmary. On her way there, she saw Cherise leaving it. She would have said hi, but the girl looked to be in a hurry somewhere. Had she heard about Andy and helped her? It was the only reason she could think of. Entering it, she soon found Andy, as well as Mason. Had he been here the whole night with her? Realizing quickly she had interrupted them, she quickly wrote down why she was there and showed them both.

color=#4A766E]~Sorry for the interruption. I seem to be doing that a lot this morning. Andy, I brought you some aloe if you had any burns. If you don't need it though it's fine. I'll just leave it here for the staff if you don't need it. I hope you feel better.~[/color]

Putting the jar of aloe next to Andy, she quickly left the pair alone. Deciding to head for the main hall to get some breakfast. Maybe her brother and Ethan would be there by now.

Hecate | HEX: #8b9068 | Outfit

Image In his head, he had a quick shower, which was done, and he gobbled his food then raced back to the med hut to be there for his sister and thank Cherise profusely. However, he ended up sitting alone at the hall, plate full of food, pushing his eggs back and forth with his fork. He couldn't really designate his attention to one thing or the other thus the solution was nothing.

Then as luck had planned, somebody strolled in to be his source of attention and entertainment. Daniel waved avidly to the girl like they had been friends for a long time and she'd come skipping over. He had seen her around but never caught her name. Or if he did he totally forgot it. "Hey. Come on over, take a seat, sit." He gestured across from him with a bright smile. "I rarely bite."

Daniel's shoulders were practically rolling and waiting to pounce on his new playmate with anticipation. Because of social etiquette and not knowing this girl, he'd never physically pounce on a demigod that he didn't know well enough, he was just excited to hear what this new creature was about. "I don't believe we've officially met. I know you're Heath's sister, right?" His eyes lit up and somehow, his grin widened. "Mason danced with you last night." Daniel recognised where he had seen her face. The trial and fire last night: all public gatherings. "Well, I'm Daniel. I'm one of Hecate's kids."

He glanced to the doorway of the hall expecting others would be due to file in. This was his first forced one on one with the girl so he knew he had to make something of it. Learn something about her other than her being quiet and somewhat reserved. "I got the feeling it wasn't your most comfortable scene last night. Big parties, booze, games then the...whole storm. What do you like to do?"

Daniel could avoid the drama gossip of last night for now. If she could. He certainly wasn't going to shut her up or stop her from writing about it in Iliana's precise case. He simply didn't want to feed the tension and drama to make it the centre of the camp's universe. Besides, there was plenty more where that came from...

His own mini-drama dilemma among them. He spent a moment twiddling his thumbs then rested his cheek in one of his palms. "Do you know much about dating?" Daniel squinted his eyes as if to scrutinize her but she didn't immediately strike him as one for dating advice. Sensible advice would do.

The silence was a comfort to Iliana as she headed for the main hall. In the recesses of her mind she could recall her life with her late father at times like this. He too didn't like noise of the city and around the time of his death was planning on moving from the suburbs of Atlanta to the countryside since he had made enough money to move. He would have loved it here. Thinking about him almost brought tears to her eyes, but Iliana resisted as she went into the main hall.

She was so lost in thought though that she didn't even see Daniel wave at her and literally jumped when he spoke to her.

"Hey. Come on over, take a seat, sit. I rarely bite," he said, gesturing to the seat in front of him.

Mentally scolding herself for not paying more attention, she came forward and sat down. What did he want, she wondered.

"I don't believe we've officially met. I know you're Heath's sister, right?"

Technically they had met last night, but then again did Iliana ever tell him her name? Perhaps she hadn't. She quickly wrote down a response.

~Yes, I am Iliana Remington-Taylor. Heath is actually my adopted brother. After I lost my father when I was 5, his father adopted me since my mother couldn't keep me in Olympus. And sorry for 'talking' like this but I can't talk at the moment.~

Daniel then smiled and mentioned her dance with Mason. Oh, yeah, that. Iliana still didn't know why he danced with her. Maybe it was to annoy Heath? She had recalled Heath's face, he hadn't been happy. Finally Daniel introduced himself formally, but Iliana already knew his name, she heard it being said by others and Daniel himself. She wasn't going to tell him that.

~So you're Andy's brother then? Momma told me she was Hecate's daughter. My mother is Demeter.~

She wonder if she should tell him about last night. She hated being the barer of bad news, but he had a right to know. But if Cherise had helped Andy then she should be okay. And Andy had looked okay by all appearances, but Iliana knew better then anyone how appearances could be deceiving. She was trying to decide on what to say when Daniel spoke to her again.

"I got the feeling it wasn't your most comfortable scene last night. Big parties, booze, games then the...whole storm. What do you like to do?"

He was correct, she wasn't use to parties. It hadn't been all bad, but she still knew she would never get totally use to something like that.

~I've never been to a party like that before. And I am sorry about the storm, I added to it because I got emotional myself. I love gardening, it's the one thing I never get tired of doing. And I love making flower weaves.~

After a few more minutes of silence, Daniel asked her about dating. Dating? She didn't know the first thing about it. Oh she knew the story of her parents as well as Heath's parents, but that hadn't involved 'dating'. And Heath, being the protective big brother that he was, tended to scare away boys.

~Um, I am sorry, I don't know what dating even involves. I've lived a pretty sheltered life and I've always been shy. I was home schooled most of my life. Is there anything you need help with though? I can try to help if you need it.~

Suddenly her stomach growled loudly, indicating she needed food. The act caused her to turn as red as an apple.

"It's what I am here for," the girl spoke up after Andy thanked her. "Not all of us are selfish or wanting to cause some kind of harm. We are all in this together, so... if you need me any further, I am here. For both of you. My friend Rae is, too, as off-putting as she can be. We are good people, that's why we help. There is no other reason than that. Truly."

Part of Andy wanted to believe that, but it seemed that over the past year the darker sides of many of them have clawed their way out. But she didn't say anything. She didn't want to seem ungrateful or rude to a girl she barely knew. So, instead, she nodded her head and gave a slight smile.

"You may need pain medication because I needed to heal your head first, and there was... a lot of damage. I'll come to you and heal the rest a little bit later?"

"Thank you, again." Andy adjusted how she sat before continuing. "Please don't feel like you need to do that. I'm sure I'll be ok." Her gaze lingered over to Mason, who'd probably argue the opposite and demand she remains in bed until the girl could come back and finish healing her.

Mason actually managed to smile, once they were alone and she thanked him for staying with her. "I like the leverage it gets me." His smile only seemed to grow after that.

"And what kind of leverage is that?" She managed her own smile and soft chuckle.

"You'd do the same for me." And he was right. Andy would do the same thing for him in a heart beat. No questions asked.

After she asked about what happened, Mason sighed. By the look on his face he was trying to decide what to say, or perhaps where to start. "I don't know if you were unconscious when you hit your head or from the lightning strike itself. But you were in bad shape....a lot of people were scared." He nodded at the other empty seat beside her. Andy's gazed lingered over there briefly before looking back toward him. "Daniel was here all night with you too. But um I got a million curses to join my father in Tartarus and death, took you here." A sad smile crossed her face at the thought of her brother sitting there worrying all night. She had been in his place and knew the torment. Then the thought of Mason getting threats to join his father in Tartarus only made her groan. It didn't take much for her to guess that it was Alex who said this. But last time Andy checked, the daughter of Zeus was a murderer. Not Mason.

"Pretty sure the party disbanded after that. They had to get you dry and changed. Soon as it's okay, I'll get you out of here." Mason nodded toward the hospital gown that she wore. She hadn't even had the chance to notice it.

Then it grew silent for a bit. Andy remained patient and quiet as she sat there, although her stomach knotted as the seconds ticked on. Mason looked around the med hut, as if worried that someone was there who would over hear. "At the moment I'm just worried about you." She glanced down slightly, letting out a soft sigh. "I know you're strong and resilient but I don't want to be the cause of you getting hit by Zeus' kids again."

Andy's brows furrowed as her face saddened. She tried to sit up and lean closer to him, but her ribs had another idea. She winced slightly and whispered under her breath. "Pain meds, right." She took a deep breath before looking him in the eyes. "This is not your fault. Alex and I have been at odds for awhile now. I don't know what caused her to lash out like that, but she's about as stable as an atomic bomb. I'm sure on top of everything else, she blames me... and you," she added softly under her breath. "For breaking her brother's heart."

She paused for a long second, staring at the blanket that rested across her lap. "And Ajax... I don't think he'd ever lay a hand on me." At least she hoped. "I'm more worried about you," she said softly, under her breath like she was worried someone else could over hear. "They blame you for everything. That you poison and taint me, turning me against him." Her face twisted as the anger boiled in her. "Like I'm not capable of making my own decisions or have my own thoughts. That my indecision has to be because of you manipulating me, not me trying to figure out what I want... What makes me happy."

Then there was silence as Andy took a deep breath. "I just want to be happy," she whispered, concluding her rant.

Andy had accepted that that was probably the end of the conversation. Mason was never the type to talk about his feelings, unless they were negative. But then he spoke up. "I can't get the closet out of my mind either." It was one simple sentence, but the words churned in her stomach making her heart skip a beat. She could feel her cheeks turning pink as she diverted her gaze. Andy didn't have the time to think on the closet, but that didn't mean it wasn't there in her mind... lingering. He kissed her. That happened. But she also kissed him back.

Then, in the quiet, Mason's hand reached out and took hers, sliding his fingers between hers. The simple touch pulled her out of her mind and back to the present. She slowly let her gaze drift back over to him, although no words fell from her lips. Part of her worried that no matter what she said, or did... She'd somehow do it wrong, like she always did.

"Maybe I shouldn't have kissed you. I know you're going through a couple of things and it was bad timing." Andy's brows fell as her expression became weighted with guilt. "I care about you a lot and I'm going to do my best to be here for you."

Before she had a chance to reply or say anything else, Iliana entered the infirmary. Subconsciously, Andy's grasp on Mason's hand tightened slightly, like the presence of someone into their bubble would cause him to withdrawal. She put on her best amiable smile as she looked toward the blonde, trying not to show her slight frustration with being interrupted. The girl quickly began to write in her notepad, before showing them what it said. "Sorry for the interruption. I seem to be doing that a lot this morning. Andy, I brought you some aloe if you had any burns. If you don't need it though it's fine. I'll just leave it here for the staff if you don't need it. I hope you feel better."

"Thank you," was all Andy could manage to say before the girl left as quickly as she entered.

Andy took the opportunity to gather her thoughts and figure out what she'd say. Her thumb lightly tapped Mason's hand in contemplation before she let out a soft breath. "It was inevitable. We both know it... I'm not particularly fond of the circumstances leading up to it," she admitted laughing weakly. It was no secret that she hated how her and Mason argued. But they both knew it wasn't because they hated each other... but because of something else. "I don't regret it," she whispered.

She stared at their hands for what felt like an eternity. It wasn't long ago, during capture the flag, that Andy told him she loved him. It was true. She would always love him. But that wasn't the question at hand. The question was how did she love him and who was she in love with. For months her head and her heart have been at odds. "You know how I feel," she said softly while giving his hand a tender squeeze. Andy didn't need to say anything else, he knew. And while there was more meaning behind both of their words neither one of them would say the important word until it was right and encompassed everything they felt. But even then, the fog slowly seemed to be lifting.

For awhile now, Andy's mind had been nothing but turmoil. But now with Daniel back, and the playing field in her mind leveled to even standards, things were changing. Piece by piece she could feel her head and heart slowly aligning. It was only a matter of time before it became clear to her what... or who she wanted. The more terrifying part was, no matter what she did, she'd hurt someone.
