w e i g h t x // x163 lbs

h a i r x // xbrown short and thick hair.

e y e s x // xhe classes them as a dark blue, and not like the deep blue sea, more like an onyx blue crossover, and some class that combination as green. But details...details...

o d d i t i e s x // xhe has a mean looking scar on his back and front where the spear went through his chest. Keith doesn't know how obtained it, he presumes some childhood accident. Keith also wears glasses.

a p p e a r a n c e x // xKeith isn't particularly intimidating or gods gift to women but he can be endearing in that dorky/dweeby way, and he does have a firm athletic build. He's not exactly bulky like some other gym junkies, but he's happy being him. Comfortable as he can be in his own skin anyway.
Daniel owns his skin on the other hand and is usually accompanied by some playful grin or smirk.

P O W E R S

w i t c h c r a f tx // x Witchcraft covers a great variety of magic and it is all ready for disposal at Daniel's fingertips. He excels in illusion casts.
c o n j u r a t i o n x // x Daniel can get a little inventive and crafty with this gift, mostly conjuring up horror icons and wicked beasties.
r e a l i t yxm a n i p u l a t i o n // x Daniel has never enjoyed a power or made more use of a power then sucking someone into a "vivid illusion."
m e d i u mx // x The dead mustn't like him because while he is supposed to possess such an ability to see dead people, he can't.

P R O F I C I E N C I E S

c h a r i s m a t i c x // x He doesn't know how he does it but he has a certain charm and energy that can attract people towards him or talk them into an essentially bad idea. If it's not via charisma, it's through cunning.
d a n c i n g x // x Music does amazing things to his soul and thankfully he is gifted in rhythm and movement and is often looking to get others off the wall and moving too.
c u n n i n g x // x Daniel's cunning is certainly undersold and the worse mistake people can make is not thinking it dangerous.

W E A K N E S S E S

e x e r t i o n x // x Between dark spells and casts, and casts that require a lot of focus and power, Daniel tries them anyway and may experience a severe drain in energy or karma.
p l a y f u l x // x It's not that he can't grasp severity of situations, it's that he wants to lighten to mood, and keep those grey clouds away from him if he can. Thus, more often than not, Daniel can be perceived as 'too playful.'
i n d u l g e n tx // x He doesn't see it as a weakness, more entertaining and leading a luxurious life. To others however, he may appear selfish and immature which apparently is a bit of a people repellent.

F E A R S

u n d e r a c h i e v e r x // x A key reason to Daniel attending camp is so he can advance on his powers and help amplify himself so he can assure when he goes down, it's in a blaze of glory. He wants to leave his mark at his milestones. But there is a fear within that presses he may die without much to show for in his lifetime.
c h a n g e x // x Daniel doesn't mind a little spicing up of the life, however, inner change, something that alters his identity or somebody that wants him to, can't be done. He likes who he is and he doesn't want to change.

P E R S O N A L I T Y
xxxxxxxx Playful xx Observant xx Sly xx Charismatic x

Daniel likes to think of himself as a fun, perky and humorous individual that looks on the short side of life. Even for a demigod that's attending camp and has a knack for some chaos and has probably made it to some mortals hunting list too, he prefers to make the history books going down as himself. Accompanying his tomb and the book would be his rather crude sense of humor, naturally mischievous/guilty and smug look and passion and enthusiasm for every action he executed. Life is much too short to live with regret and spend time standing against the wall. He understands that much more thoroughly now more than ever.

Being an adventurous soul and young boy at heart, Daniel has a pet peeve for dull days and often chooses to spice them up with a little illusion or conjuration. He tries not to push buttons excessively, and usually his attentive eye pays attention to when the line is being drawn and how sensitive his audience is. If he wants to cause some mischief and let it go off without a hitch and insulting anybody, he has to take note of his surroundings, the people and select his words like a devil dealer. Other times however, he just doesn’t care preferring the fun and thrill of the event. His mischievous self has the gift of wit, cunning, slyness and improvisation that has a way of allowing him to both escape trouble, and keep him seeking trouble so he can appease the side that enjoys more entertaining days. Plus, he sees his pesky powers as a service and helpful since any real enemy isn’t going to hold back.

In a lot of ways, Daniel could be considered an overgrown bored child with powers that shouldn't be in his hands, but make no mistake, his games will seem like child's play compared to when things get personal. If anyone accuses him of being bark over bite or takes him and his siblings as less important or significant or hurts them, he will be quick to commence plotting and correct that error in judgement, and he has a dangerously creative mind. Confidence in himself and powers has never been an area of hesitance.

For the upper hand on the playing field, Daniel can sometimes dumb down himself. Being underestimated does work out to be an advantage in the end game after all. However, if he's acting skills are called out; he feels no need to deny it though a lie lays on the tip of his tongue. Despite him seeing all trickster and “life is a game” motto, he does have an approachable side that adores his family unconditionally and can withhold a tame conversation that is open to almost anybody. But of course, him being him, he prefers the more eccentric and exciting topics.

xxxxxxxx Clever xx Reserved xx Kind xx Awkward x

Keith is a clever individual able to make quick work of puzzles and problems that need solving, mostly theoretical problems, not physical and confrontational. He doesn't like or do confrontation, his demeanor, his personality - none of it is meant to go toe to toe with someone. And to be honest, Keith is used to getting knocked around and bullied whereby his words are his only weapons to wield. More often than not though, they get him into more trouble. But he isn't afraid because he knows he has brains over their brawns and insecure pety minds.

Unsurprisingly, Keith doesn't have a great deal many friends. He supposes it's because he's too guarded, expecting the ugly in people and when somebody is kind to him, he gets socially awkward and doesn't really know how to respond and keep conversation flowing. The lack of experience to socializing and living has just kind of expanded to one mess of a man and it can make him seem pretentious when he's short with people or dismissive of an offer. It's not the real case as Keith is a major fan of treating others as you would like to be treated, but it's a common misconception that he's a bit of a snob.

Perhaps the largest barrier is that a large part of him struggles to relate to his peers entirely because he doesn't really know what he likes or if there's a clique or group or belonging for him and truthfully, it's like he doesn't even know himself some days. Something just feels off at his core. That's also why he keeps to his own company.

H I S T O R Y

Daniel is older brother to a mortal sister Delilah and another demigod he only met last year, Andromeda. Thankfully, Daniel was always a strapping young man that was quick on his toes so he felt and feels relatively equipped to handle young women with different personalities and hormones. Having Zane as a father, he always encouraged a light environment and an appreciation for wit and jokes in good taste. But also embedded Daniel with morals and values, hence he has a super soft spot for his sisters and a somewhat in tact moral compass.

Mainly Daniel grew up treating life as his playing field and people and his powers were a source of entertainment. Each day, he'd push the boundaries just a little bit further. This got him into a lot of trouble and made him feared among peers. There was no way folks believed in magic, but they did find Daniel as the common thread to the extraordinary. Through the commotion of powers, Zane persisted on sticking with him and keeping Daniel balanced. This in turn developed to a deep respect making Daniel not a total brat growing up.

Then along his introduction to camp.

Hecate's magic brought Daniel back to life, but not as his upbeat, fun loving self. When she revived him, she filled him with false memories and therefore a new identity to protect him from the trauma of his death. And so Keith Madden was born with a constant hole in his heart, like a piece of him is missing. The recollection of the war is hard to recall. He knows he was there last year, and there was a war but it has no meaning, no image and his life is full of gaps.

Image Alex had never been to one single party before she came to Camp Athens. Their mother never allowed her to leave the house. Last years had been a blast, but this year was going to be different. Alex sat quietly as her brother took the chair across from her. "Are you okay?" He watched her as she managed to turn her attention to him. "..don't tell me it's nothing. When some of the campers left for the year, others stayed here. You didn't. You left me. Where did you go?"

Alex shook her head. "I'm fine. This isn't about when I left. Then, I just needed to be by myself."

"You know it's dangerous out there. Especially by yourself. Has Mason said something to you again? is that why you left?"
"No."
"Okay, so what's wrong now? Did someone else say something to you?"
"No!" she snapped.
"Al..."
Image "Just leave it alone, okay? Don't ask me any more questions." she stood up angrily. "Please." she added. It wasn't like her to shut him off without talking to him. He nodded once, his eyes looking down as he did. She gave him a glare before walking silently passed him. Maybe she shouldn't have come back to camp this year since everyone already thought she was a murderer. No one would possibly miss her, would they? Everything in her life had already turned upside down because of a stupid feud between two Gods. They just couldn't let things stay in the past.

Image He looked up, watching her head into her room. Hopefully, the party would make her feel better. Being around Duke and Wes always brought a smile to her face. Especially Duke. Oh, Ajax had noticed the way his little sister looked at his best friend. Was she acting like this because of him? Duke had recently found out about his little sister, and Alex had seen them together a couple of times without knowing who she is. Was she jealous? the corners of Ajax's lips began to lift upwards, forming a large smile as he looked away and hung his head. Laughing. He had never known her to be jealous, not even once, or she just managed to hide it well. Daniel had a new girl around him before he passed, but Alex didn't seem to batter an eye. He could go in there and tell her about Duke's sister, but maybe it would be way more entertaining for her to find out from Duke himself.

Ajax headed out the second he was dressed, but first grabbing his rucksack which sat near the front door. He decided to wear something casual: Party Outfit. As promised, he arrived a bit early with the music he had downloaded the night before on his computer. It was all taking place down near the beach again where a large campfire was sitting in the middle ready to be lit. Around it at a good safe distance sat four large log benches for everyone to chill out around the flames. The staff members were the ones hosting it all, so they were cooking on the BBQ tonight. They had containers filled with ice where the beer bottles chilled, and quite the buffet on a long table so people could help themselves to sandwiches, pizza, sausage rolls and every other party food displayed. The BBQ would be serving burgers and hot dogs with or without onions. A large variety for everyone to say the least.

After what happened last year, Alex hadn't gotten the chance to see or speak to her best friend since they all got back, what with all the preparations for the new campers, and still coming to terms with last year. She made a mental note of seeing him soon, then took her drink from Theo. She smiled at him as a thank you.

Hearing Katlani mention Spin the Bottle had brought on a moment of nostalgia, a game she hadn't played since childhood. It made Alex move in towards the group that was slowly gathering for the game. She side glanced at the others. Mason had started to move towards the circle with Adrianna. Of course, he'd team up with Wonder Barbie. He no longer had Jenn or Daniel after all.

Daniel... she missed his lively nature. Camp still felt dead without him. If only she could have gotten the chance to say goodbye, or to at least have given him the time of day before the war. They needed this game, they needed to have fun for once. "I'm in."

Feeling her brother's eyes on her, she looked at him and began to laugh. Andy was behind him. Mocking him.

Of course his little sister wouldn't turn down the opportunity to play Spin the Bottle, especially if there was a chance to get a kiss from Duke. Hearing her laugh, he frowned, "What?" he asked, then turned around the second he felt someone behind him. He had caught Andy mocking him. "You're lucky you are cute." he told her, stroking the pad of his thumb against her soft cheek. He looked past her for a second or more, his eyes on Mason. "Will you be playing spin the bottle?" he asked in an almost whisper, then looked down at Andy.

The thought of Mason getting the chance to kiss her during a game wasn't the best image to have struck in his head. "I won't stop you if you want to." he told her. What could one kiss during an agreed game do? it was harmless fun with nothing to it. Well, at least it would mean something to some of them.

STAFF ANNOUNCEMENT - ALARIC HART

ImageHe headed to the hall with a large bag over his shoulder prompting the camp attendees outside to follow him as he passed so he could make the announcement. Other staff patrolled the camp rounding the strays up or those that chose to slumber in their cabins.

Once he was burrowed in towards the back of the hall, he begun. "Excuse me." He cleared his throat. "Excuse me." Having little success to gain their focus that way, he whistled loudly, its sound easily carrying through the hall.
"Great. Now, it has come to my attention that the camp has been making ill on its promises to help harness and flourish your powers and provide exciting activity. So today, we play an extreme capture the flag. And yes it's mandatory that you participate. As elementary as that may sound, you need it. Welcome to camp. The teams will be split up in two.."

He cleared his throat and read from his list. "The Red Spartans: Alexandria, Andromeda, Dominick, McKenna, Ji-hyun, Sloane, Theo, Harleen, Finley, Atticus, Adrianna, Kalani, Elias, Nikoloas, Lise, Mason."

He looked up from his list expecting the groans to roll in but protesting would get them nowhere.

"The Blue Trojans: Ajax, Gwendolyn, Trinity, Wesley, Sylas, Annie, Seung-min, Emery, Dimitri, Duke, Keith, Isobel, Mateo, Areum, Raven and Evelyn."

"You die, you lose. You tap out, you lose. You get your color taken from you, you lose and come back to the hall and watch."
He dropped his bag with a grunt on a nearby table with a clatter. "Your colors are at your base. These are your weapons. You do not have to use a weapon, they will not be given to you. You can use your powers." He smirked a little. "Welcome to the Hunger Games." The reference to the gripping YA book probably went over at least half the camp attendants heads. Most didn't give reading the time of day, and those that did read probably didn't concern themselves with something so modernized, their noses either stuck in the air or buried in work of literature and ancient tales instead.
Alaric was mostly referring to the cornucopia aspect. The weapons would be scattered among the woods and there’s for the taking, most of which were right at the center of the woods, gleaming and beckoning to be taken in the crossfire.
The camp attendees could figure out for themselves that the pain they could experience would be no more than a phantom pain via the weapons, traps and beasts that the very gods themselves, and some demigods designed and helped set up.

It would be best to see them treat it as real as possible.

"Do not go for fatal blows on each other," he warned as the final and only rule. A demigod turning on another demigod that way was vicious and cruel, and Alaric as well as other staff had no tolerance for it. It had no place in their camp.
"There are currently some hostile beasts prowling the woods," he assured in case anyone was disheartened by the idea of no-fatality experience. However, their very jaws and beings were enchanted so when they clamped down on a demigod fatally, they'd be warped straight to the hall. "You have two minutes to get to the woods, get your colors on, hide your flag within these perimeters," he pointed to the map's red and blue colored area on opposite ends of each other -AKA their bases, "devise a plan and create a universal safe word if you have to."

"I hope you're all awake, because time starts now."

Image "No offense taken. But with similar respect, the same could be said of a Hades child."
It was refreshing to come across someone so wise and Mason nodded with the statement to show, likewise, no offense was taken. "But, you can rest assured when I give someone my word, I follow through," Sylas added taking another grape from his bowl. "And I don't scare easily. I'm not frightened of a little bit of lightening."
Mason found himself nodding again and shrugging. Many would claim so. Jenn wasn't scared of lightening but the psycho bitch cut her head off. If you weren't scared of lightening and submissive to the spawns of Zeus they were particularly hostile because you didn't spoon-feed their massive egos.

"I think allies would be a more appropriate term. Friends aren't really in my wheel house. And no, I don't expect you to just trust me. Trust and friendship is earned... Not freely given."
"That it is."
Giving Sylas another look over Mason guessed they wouldn't evolve to such a stage. Keeping things business or as strictly allies would fit them both best. Worry of each other likely wouldn't come into the picture until after the Valises were gone. But who knew what the future held.

"Well, I mean we could simply just corner one of them... Stab stab. Job's done." Thankfully his lack of enthusiasm demonstrated that was among the most plain ideas and not a real one. "That lacks... Creativity, for lack of a better term. Sure, death is the end goal but we don't want it to be swift and merciful. It's more satisfying destroying someone, breaking them down and ruining them, root and stem."
What did he think Mason was doing? In addition to waiting for the right moment to present itself, he was trying some behind the scenes works. But he liked that Sylas liked the slower route. It was a bit more of a gamble but if it was a job done right, it would be most rewarding.
"I don't know how devious you are... But, I liked the idea of turning everyone they love against them."
Mason actually threw his hands up in the air and gestured to the hall. "Thank you! Finally someone gets it! I know I'm pretty but I haven't been spending my time doing my hair and flossing my teeth and solely thinking of ways to kill them." Mason hadn't exactly been targeting people they love to turn against them either, for the sheer fact that he couldn't even stand to be in radius of a Valis worshiper and they were harder to convert.
Actually, Mason was doing little in truth. He was just being a bit more social and charming and Alex already did the murdering. Mason did have one good asset though, however that was more an ace up the sleeve for him.

After a long moment in thought with his tongue pressed to his cheek, he spoke again. "I wouldn't mind dying to make a point. Providing old Pops brings me back." The camp needed to see the monsters under the surface. That it wasn't a one off thing. Like Sylas he wanted to ruin and bury their reputations and ruin the trust fellow demigods mistakenly placed in them. And sure, just to make it really burn, make their world collapse, turn the people they love against them.

Then, a staff member paced through the hall capturing Mason's attention. As he could have guessed, he was on a mission. Once he gathered everybody's attention, he laid out the task ahead.

It was in moments like so where Mason really had to reflect on his life choices, or certainly the choice of returning to camp and not killing Zeus's kids. Now he was teamed up with the one he despised most of all. At first he was consumed in hatred and distaste but eventually it evolved to a glimpse of opportunity. Extreme capture the flag meant full contact. In this case, it meant letting the demigods run wild like animals. Mason glanced back to Sylas. "Is the boy next door facade still staying on in the heat of competition?" He smirked and got up. Now was the time to see what those twins were made of that so easily slipped under the radar.

His legs carried him there automatically and he was in another head space entirely, even as he wrapped the band around his arm. Except when he had to tune in on the team speech, Mason supposed that might have been important. Important to feign attention in anyway as winning or losing didn't really matter to him. How many rematches could happen down the track, and what did winning really prove? That you had a good team and the right players? That they were lucky? Mason crossed his arms and waited for any outgoing brains to take initiative.

TROJANS | HEX:#780707 | Outfit

ImageTwo minutes!? Duke paced off to what was temporarily known as the Blue Trojan's base. He wasn't going to hide the flag, leaving that duty instead to the likes of Ajax or better, Seung-min. He pulled a blue bandanna and wrapped it around his forearm.

Duke pressed his tongue to his cheek on his little over-eager team. The hype was good, but they needed a strategy implemented, especially when the opposing team had the likes of Lise and McKenna. "We need defenders, attackers and maybe a mid-field. We also need to consider our biggest threats. Harleen, she's quick, she's deft, you dont want your band taken off you without knowing you've even been touched. Likewise, Andy, military brat and witch, she'll be more confrontational and physical, keep your wits about you. Kalani can seduce you, stay focused. Adrianna, I've never seen her competitive side but I can guess she has one, and not to underestimate her."
He gestured to Mateo because the very same applied to him. Then again who wasn't a threat? He gave up. "Take out the Spartans brains, healers and manipulators first, then deal with the brutes. They probably think we're a confrontational side too, that we're going in with guns blazing, but let's try to be a little more subtle. Travel in pairs if you can. Not attached at the hip though."
If there was an ambush, he’d prefer one teammate to go down and not a collective of them.
"Wes, Raven, Dimitri, Isobel cover the middle, please." Together the four made a disarming pair, and a protective one too if they accessed the right emotions and triggers, and powers of course.
"Emery, Seung-min, Sylas and Evelyn, you're our secret weapons. Aim for the Spartan's flag. Avoid the heat of the battle if you can, use evasive or defensive techniques." The four could get creative. Their gifts and applications were always a surprise and they weren't the type that urged an immediate threat. "Ajax, Trinity; they'll be expecting us. Let's not disappoint." They were probably the renowned biggest war-heads. Without them near the front line of battle, the opposition would get suspicious about their presence.
"Daniel -uh, Keith, stay as a line of defense. Gwendolyn, I think you'd make a strong offense but it depends where you want to go, you'd know where you're best kept. Annie, I think we need you to press forward too. Look after our assault team and stun some opponents. If that makes you uncomfortable, stay back with Keith."
Duke looked between the remainder of Areum and Mateo. The demigods whose attitude he most struggled to grasp. Daniel needed some help in defense, but he felt their usefulness could be better spent elsewhere. In the middle as both offensive and defensive forces.

Then he caught himself, swept up in heat of the moment. "That's my suggestion anyway," he said so the more sensitive didn't kick up a fuss about him taking lead on a strategy or 'ordering them around'. After all, he was no child of Athena or son of Zeus. "Anybody else got an idea?"

ImageKeith tried not to be so evaluating and calculating of the new state of camp. It seemed to bustle with a few more energetic bodies than last year and definitely a few more brooding faces and vibes. He felt his heart sink in the knowledge that it'd be hard to make friends. There seemed so little room for the socially awkward and everybody else already had established their "clique".

Sometimes the camp could be exceptionally boring and dull, but that was something he simply had to endure like everyone else and hope the next day would be more rewarding. His degree of boredom would just be more though. His lips pressed in a line and he plucked out his earphones and shuffled through his phone for a tune that could ignite his soul. Keith smiled slightly when he found it. Some would argue it was a little too swaggerish for him but part of him really liked it and had a guilty pleasure listening to JT.

The son of Hecate traveled through camp territory for another year of learning and fighting evil, having to suppress the urge to walk in rhythmic bounces and pull some Michael Jackson move. He made his way to hall, typically the central congregation point of people, new and regular. That, plus some staff waved him over to and pointed to it.

Some larger species of male had bumped him. "Daniel," they said casually, but he was bowing to the ground to retrieve his glasses that were knocked down on impact. He carefully placed them back on the bridge of his nose, surprised to see the brute had actually taken to stop and staring. For a round two, he prayed not.
Keith slowly rose and for some time it seemed they just stared at each other. "I'm sorry," Keith said finally and spun on his heel to take an extended detour. It wasn't worth getting his teeth knocked out and he didn't want to cause any trouble. Keith had spent some time in the gym on his holidays and become a bit more solid in build, but it was nothing that girls would second look or enough to engage in a fist-fight confidently. The hall would still be there too. He wasn't missing anything.

When he slid into the hall an announcement was happening, and he shrunk into the wall then nestled into a corner and slowly pulled out his earplugs. An extreme mandatory capture the flag...what could go wrong. Inside, Keith wanted to die there and then or dissolve into a puddle. It was like high school P.E class and the untalented still had to participate even when no one really wanted them on the team, and they didn't really want to participate, and the teachers were the only ones that thought it was a good idea in the entire universe. He sighed out and was the first to exit the hall and make his way to blue base.

Duke started rattling off a plan, and while he was smart and confident and that was semi-contagious when it came to his plan, Keith was super insecure about being the last line of defense by guarding the base especially by his lonesome. That was enough pressure for him to develop a twitch and have a nervous breakdown. But externally, there was no more displayed than light levels of anxiety.

"And besides, I'm far more interested in talking about what that was about."

Annie almost cringed before forcing a lackadaisical smile to her face, laughing the comment off unconvincingly.

"I saw you guys walk home together last night, what happened?"

"Nothing happened!"
The insinuation seemed to incite an added nervousness, as Annie waved her hands in a no, definitely not! gesture.

"We just walked home together since I was a little... buzzed."

A lot buzzed, more like.

"I... may have said some things that are a little... embarrassing." Just the memory of her drunken antics incited a wince, and Annie mentally pledged sobriety, all too aware that such a vow would likely last just until the next camp party, and not much longer.

"By the way... I don't suppose that, ah... Finn knows any Korean, does he?"

Before Kalani had chance to answer, however, camp staffer Alaric strode towards the hall to make his announcements. As he read out the teams, Annie pouted to realise that she was not on Kalani's team.

"I guess we won't be dying together after all." She smiled wryly, "See you in the afterlife, I guess?"

Mere minutes later, Annie was nodding along as Duke rattled through the 'game plan', trying to keep up with what was very much not her forte. Namely, battle strategy.

When Duke mentioned her name, her head rose to look up at him, and his suggestion of her 'pressing forward', and her smile froze on her face. "P-press forward?"

"If that makes you uncomfortable, stay back with Keith."

She shook her head, smiling unconvincingly, "N-no, that's fine. Sounds... great."

I guess I'll be dying even sooner than I expected. Wonderful.

Before she could dwell too much on what was very likely her imminent demise, Annie glanced to her side to look at Keith, who seemed touched by a slight anxiousness that she found all too familiar.

"Hey- Will you be alright guarding on your own? I can hang back with you if you like, not that I'll be much help on the, ah, defence front." Realizing that they did not actually know each other, she offered a warm smile, "I'm Annie, by the way."

“Have you tried it?” Wes chuckled. He parted his lips to answer, but she continued on before he could answer. “Fine, fine. I get it. The power of passion is dangerous.” He followed closely behind Trinity as she made her way toward the hall. “How would the primitive daughter to the god of war possibly be able to cope with lust?”

Wes shook his head, entering the hall behind her. "I didn't say that," he corrected her as grabbed himself a bagel and some bacon. With his plate in had, he moved beside her as she prepared her cereal. "I don't want to alter your emotions... What if I couldn't undo it?" Wes didn't like the thought of manipulating her emotions in any way. What if he accidentally made her devoted to himself? Even if he had her love, it wouldn't true or honest. He thought meddling in someone's emotions is an invasion of privacy and freedom. He only resorts to it in times of need.

“But you can point love and desire in a direction?” Wes nodded is head in acknowledgement. “That's how you made the giant chase those stonemen last year. So what if you...” Then Trinity trailed off when she looked to where his right arm used to exist. She sighed and pressed her tongue to her cheek.

Wes sighed. It was one time he wished he had his other arm because he wanted to wrap it around Trinity. But a nudge to her shoulder would have to do. "Hey... It doesn't bother me, what happened," he said wiggling his right shoulder barren an arm. "You can talk about it. I won't spontaneously combust." He followed her toward Andy's table, but continued on with his conversation. "And yes, I did use it for the giant. But that's because it was going after Andy," he said motioning his plate toward the brunette as he sat down at her table beside Trin. "Battle is different than messing with someone's free will for no reason."

Image

Once breakfast was over, the teams started to gather up. Wes was on Trinity's team and honestly, he had no idea if that was a good thing or not. After all it was just a training exercise, but Trin had power and ability. She didn't need to be worried about him and what others might do to him... Although, he knew better than that. So, instead of trying to give his opinion, he simply stood by and listened to Duke's plan of action. Seemed like sound logic to him.

"Looks like I won't be your burden today Blondie. You're on offense... And I'm... Whatever the middle is." He chuckled, nudging her slightly. That's alright. Wes would probably be one of the first people knocked out anyways.

When Duke mentioned Daniel... Or Keith, Wes just founded himself staring at him like an idiot. He leaned his head down next to Trinity's and whispered in her ear. "Uhhh... When did this happen? Does Andy know?" He sighed, scratching his head. He guessed they'd figure out eventually. Instead of speaking up or anything else, Wes just decided to hang back and do whatever everyone else told him to do. In the end he was a liability. An Aphrodite kid with one arm and no ability to fight wasn't worth much in battle.

"Thank you! Finally someone gets it! I know I'm pretty but I haven't been spending my time doing my hair and flossing my teeth and solely thinking of ways to kill them." Mason threw up his hands. It was apparent that he appreciated the fact that Sylas saw things on a similar level to him. It made him chuckle. Well he was definitely glad to see that they were on the same page when it came to plan of approach. Sylas could be helpful with the whole stab, stab too. But, where he really flourished was with manipulation.

"I wouldn't mind dying to make a point. Providing old Pops brings me back."

Sylas leaned forward slightly, scratching his chin with his thumb. "If you could guarantee you'd be brought back... That's not a terrible idea." The ideas start churning in his head. He made sure to lower his voice, leaning forward slightly more to be extra certain. "What if... A Valis killed you?" After a moment he looked up. "What if... Ajax killed you? Andy and Trinity's allegiance would be yours, without question. Especially if you came back. Ms. Bolton wouldn't forgive Ajax. Having a witch on your side? That's a strong ally to have."

A staff member gained their attention enough to talk about an extreme capture the flag game. Full on hand to hand contact and combat. This definitely intrigued Sylas, and no doubt it intrigued Mason as well. It was almost like he could see the wheels turning in the Hades child's mind. "Is the boy next door facade still staying on in the heat of competition?"

Sylas smirked. "I guess you'll find out if we come face to face... Now won't we?"

Image

Sylas joined his team, indifferent about many of the people on it. Of course, Ajax would be good to start working his magic on currently. Trinity and Duke could be good to start turning against the Valises, per Mason's wishes. Most of the rest of them seemed fairly useless. Other than this... Keith. He was getting a lot of weird looks from seasoned campers which peaked his interest. And apparently a son of Hecate. Interesting? Maybe Andy wasn't the player they needed after all. But Andy's emotional ties to Mason would be far more useful than some no body.

He stood by patiently listening through Duke's game plan. Sylas saw issues with it, in multiple areas. But, he wasn't going to argue. He didn't particularly care if he was on the winning team. As long as he kicked ass, that's all that mattered to him. But when he heard that Duke intended him to... To flank? And be defensive and go for the flag, Sylas stiffened at the thought. He waited patiently until Duke's whole pep talk was done.

Then Sylas cleared his throat and raised his hand. "I just wanted to add... I have extensive knowledge and training in combat, in particular fencing and martial arts. I feel sending me after the flag and staying fairly hidden or defensive would not benefit the team... Also considering that I can induce violence and chaos, turning the other team against themselves. I believe I belong on the front lines with you, Trinity and Ajax." Honestly, if he were told otherwise, he probably wouldn't listen when the time came. But, he's more useful in the middle of everything. He's more useful to Mason and himself close to Ajax.

Andy perked up where she sat seeing Trinity and Wes come to join her. She smiled toward them through her bite of the banana. Trin took the seat across from her. “Hey,” she said as she made room for Wes beside her. “Where's company?” Then she nodded her head to the empty seat beside Andy like there should be someone there who isn't.

Andy rolled her eyes, then took a bite of her cereal. "You know, it's not like we're attached at the hip." She took an aggressive bite of her banana. As she chewed her sarcastic facade seemed to vanish slowly until she was almost frowning. "It's complicated," Andy finally said, looking between Trin and Wes. "I'll tell you about it after training." She then looked down at her bowl of cereal, stirring her food around with her spoon but didn't know what else to say.

Luckily, before she had to try to find something to say to change the atmosphere of the table, one of the staff members proceeded to announce the training event. Intense capture the flag, that started immediately. She couldn't help but laugh when she heard the teams, shaking her head slightly. "Looks like I'll be seeing you all on the battle field." Of course, Andy would have preferred being on Trinity's team. They could have kicked major ass together... But, something about the idea of going against her was almost as enticing.

"Yeah, she's stuck with me. Hell of a trade," Wes joked looking between the two girls.

Andy pushed off the table and moved to her feet. With a snap of her fingers, her casual clothes quickly changed to her battle attire with armor and a bandana around her head of her team's color. She smirked at her friends. "Oh, shoot... You guys don't have armor," she said pursing her lips with a mocking smile. "That sucks." She grabbed up her trash from breakfast and then patted her free hand on the table. "Good luck guys. I hope, for your sakes, I don't come across you all on the battlefield." With that, she gave them a wink then went to find her team.

On her way to her team, Andy stopped behind Mason as he stood to leave his table and grabbed his shoulders. "Sorry to interrupt gentleman. Sylas, do you mind if I steal my teammate? We have scheming to do." She grinned mischievously, tapping her fingers along his shoulders.

"By all means," Sylas smiled, motioning toward them. "Maybe with the two of you working together, I'll finally get a fair fight."

Andy laughed. "Cocky. I like him," she said to Mason. "Sounds like Mr. Astor hasn't seen us in action. But that's alright, there's always a good view on your back." She gave Mason a pat on his shoulders and as she did so his casual clothes changed into battle gear. Was that technically fair to give herself and her teammates armor? Maybe not. But, they did say she could use her powers... So. Armor for her teammates it is.

Without any further objections, Andy grabbed Mason's arm and pulled him along with her. She knew this was going to be an interesting development with Alex on their team. But she made the decision that if they went at capture the flag as a pair, they could really do some damage. In and out in a jiffy. "So here's my thought. Since I have magic... What if I distract them but running straight into the heat of things, while you flank from the shadows and snatch up their colors? Unless you have a better plan of attack."

Sloane saw the camp staff member making his way toward the hall and something inside her told her that she needed to be there. She quickly shoved her journal back into her bag and climbed down the tree. She made her way into the hall just in time to hear what the staff member had to say about the capture the flag game. She couldn't help the sinking feeling she felt in her gut at the thought. Sloane was by no means a fighter and would most definitely be knocked out rather quickly.

Her gaze drifted over to Dom's when she heard his name and then her own. Both on the Spartan team. She didn't quite know if she was worried or relieved that she wasn't on her brother's team. But, she'd take the opportunity to get some separation where she could get it. Sloane swerved through the campers until she reached Dom. She gave him a shy smile. "It uh... Looks like we're on the same team." She sighed, rocking back and forth on her heels. "I apologize in advanced. I couldn't protect myself if I tried... And I'm not particularly dressed for combat," she added looking down at her attire.

It seemed just as she said that, Andy walked past her. Without a word from the veteran camp member, Andy simply tapped Sloane's shoulder. The change rushed over her like a wave of warmth. When she looked back down, she saw herself in more combat appropriate attire, including team colors and all. Sloane glanced over her shoulder to thank Andy, giving her a weak smile in appreciation. She then looked back toward Dom, giving a weak smile. "Ok, well... I'll still get knocked out just as easily no matter how I'm dressed."

ALEXANDRIA VALIS
DAUGHTER OF ZEUS
TEAM SPARTANS!
Hex: #d63b71

"Nooo, that would ruin both our nights." He chuckled. "You don't want my big feet stepping on your little fairy ones." Alex laughed. She could picture that scene so well. "But if you wanted to dance for future reference there are children of Apollo. They are gifted in music and I assume rhythm. There will be a lot less foot stepping. And you could always dance on your own." He pointed out and shrugged. That was true. She didn't need a partner, she could have easily torn that dance floor up with her own little moves. Still, the thought of being close to Duke for just one song at least was a nice one.

"That's very true. Dancing alone is still a lot of fun, so I don't mind the gentle rejection." she teased.

He led her to a table after that. "So have you heard the camp's plans? Capture the flag. How do you think you'll go?" Duke inquired resting an arm on the table and leaning forward to get Alex's soul-bearing answer.

She had the urge to quickly lean in, plant a kiss to those lips of his, but it wouldn't have been the right moment. Wouldn't have felt special for either of them. "Honestly!? not very well. I mean, I'll be fine," she quickly added. "I'll absolutely love every second of it, but I think you and my brother will be much better than anything I decide to do. I was thinking about going all Assassin. At first, I thought I could use my flying, but that wouldn't really be fair on those who can't, so I decided to stun anyone who gets too close." she cringed. Her brain didn't work well when it came to tactics. She hated the feeling of disappointing Duke with her answer, especially since it looked like he was waiting for some explosion of fine art to pour out of her mouth. A child of Ares, Artemis, or Athena.. they were the artists of tactics, war strategy, and wisdom. "I'm sorry, I... I'm never good at this stuff," she confessed.

Image Later that morning, Alex side glanced in Mason's direction, anticipating the announcement of which team he'd be part of. The second he was put into her team, Alex twisted her jaw and looked away as her nostrils flared a little. Still, Mason was better than having that Sylas guy on the team. She didn't trust him one bit since she had noticed him getting cozy with the prince of the underworld.

Once The Spartans were out of the Trojans earshot, and sight, she listened closely to Theo's plan. She honestly thought the plan was well thought out. Better than anything she would have cooked up.

Using the water was the best part. Nothing too aggressive, but giving the other team a bit of a challenge to get that red flag of theirs. "Couldn't have said it any better," she complimented Theo. Alaric's announcement was perfect, had Alex feeling excited, and nervous at the same time. The beasts wouldn't be much of a problem. She hoped. They looked strong, vicious and highly dangerous. "I just want to add. No doubt others will want to take out the beasts, but we could use them couldn't we? Mason," saying his name felt like acid on her tongue, poison in her throat. "He could tame the beasts, or would that be considered as cheating? I mean, Alaric did say we can use our powers."

Once everything was decided, Alex headed off in one direction, scaling the buildings so she was high up for a good viewpoint. She wanted to plan out her path towards the other team players while remaining out of sight for the time being. The Spartans needed to set up the rock formation with the water frozen around their flag, and the others needed to get into their positions before they could push forward while the others hang back to protect the flag.

AJAX VALIS
SON OF ZEUS
Team Trojans
Hex: Green
It wasn't too long before Ajax made his way back to the camp. Going to the moirai was a bad idea after all. No doubt now it would be his fault if Hades managed to take Mount Olympus from his father, and endangering everyone else's Godly parents. How the hell was he going to explain this to everyone? he could have spoken about his plans to all of them, but no, he just wandered off alone to carry the burdens as usual.

He kicked the steel bucket that sat near the Camps well, causing it to hit one of the center trees. The steel now indented. Most things that went wrong in this place, was because of a Valis because they took action without thinking things through.

Ajax made his way into the hall, but he didn't head to the front. Instead, he kept himself right at the back where no one could see him while Alaric dived into the ins and outs of the game. He then followed his team, and as Duke laid out an excellent plan and gave Ajax direct instructions to push up ahead with their brute force, Ajex looked around, but not directly at the team. His gaze was looking around at their feet. "I'll hang back, just in case any stragglers get through." he knew that wouldn't sound like him because he would have quickly grabbed the chance to show off his abilities in an event like this, but he couldn't let them know anything was wrong. Not yet.

"You know, it's not like we're attached at the hip," Andy remarked quite sassily. And while they weren't, they did look to be having certain fun last night so she just especially figured..."It's complicated. I'll tell you about it after training."

Uh-oh. Trinity nodded understandingly.

"Sorry to interrupt. I've just got a quick question for you Trinity. You up for a run tomorrow morning? We're both here, and well just doesn't seem right to not know anything about my half sister, ya know?"

Part of her was compelled to jump right out of her seat and stand to attention for her half-brother but that might have been weird. “Hundred per cent,” Trinity assured with a nod and just as she was about to gesture for him to sit, a staff member strode into the Hall.

The more Alaric spoke, the more she was enthused. In days like so, Trinity admired camp for its lively and challenging nature. It had been what felt like forever since there was some ultimate challenge. And a team one at that. Something that tested them physically and mentally.

"Looks like I'll be seeing you all on the battle field."

"Yeah, she's stuck with me. Hell of a trade."

Trinity bumped her elbow into him and smiled. Then Andy snapped her fingers and was in battle gear. "Oh, shoot... You guys don't have armor. That sucks. Good luck guys. I hope, for your sakes, I don't come across you all on the battlefield."

Once she was out of sight and ear range, Trinity scowled. “Bloody witches.” Then her gaze flickered back to Elias. “Hope you bring your A game, champ. I honestly look forward to seeing what you can do.” Maybe Elias could mirror her own potential.

_______________________________________________________________

Trinity was so immersed in the plan of action by Duke, she felt his logic made sense providing you drew the lines and reasoning together for yourself. Granted, half of it probably would be improvised.

"Looks like I won't be your burden today Blondie. You're on offense... And I'm... Whatever the middle is." He gave her a nudge and chuckled.

She rolled her eyes playfully and bumped him back. “I'm bait, Wesley Preston and the middle is good.” Trinity spoke Duke's language. The middle could be offensive and defensive forces.

Also due to being immersed in all things war and winning, Daniel’s existence didn’t hit her radar until Wes appeared in her ear. "Uhhh... When did this happen? Does Andy know?"

Trinity looked around then saw the source and cocked her head. How subdued he was, the glasses…but that face! She couldn’t help but frown and stare. “He would have mentioned something if he had a twin, right?” Trinity glanced up to Wes questioningly then back to this Keith.

Slowly she tore her eyes away from him and back to the group as Sylas piped up. That's why he wants you behind the scenes, she rebutted in her head with a scowl. Then Ajax with the most disarming of statements. "I'll hang back, just in case any stragglers get through."

She waited for his change of heart but it didn't come. Trinity's eyes darted back to Duke, almost feeling guilty to announce her views now. “I'm happy to push forward as my primary role, and I will do it, but I'd also like to be a spare. Go where I'm needed you know.” Trinity gestured towards Wes with her head and grinned, immediately patting him on the back.

“Also, as a bit of a forewarning, some of the reds are equipped with light armor but even through armor there's weakness,” she assured her team. “And I know from experience a few of them like to take vantage points so it should go without saying but be mindful where you are.”

Trinity wrapped her color around her like a buckle then held another blue out for Wes. “Where do you want it?” As she tied it around him, Trinity spoke. “Seriously though, Wes, use your powers and be an ass because people won't give you the same mercy.” Trinity felt defeated even telling him that. He could be a stubborn one even when his moral code had no place on the battlefield. “If they're in red, they're the enemy,” she muttered aloud her own logic that probably did nothing to likes of Wes. She grabbed his chin. “Don't make me have to give you rage,” she teased. She just wanted him to look after himself to the best of his ability.

Before Trinity headed her separate ways from the team, Trinity grabbed Ajax’s shoulder but looked beyond him, painting the picture that they were talking no more than battle strategy or casual. “You okay, you seem kind of out of it?”
She asked lowly.

Evidently something was the matter but it just came down to whether he wanted to share or not. Trinity looked longingly to her calling of the vast vegetation that she had to travel to get to the Spartans base. “I got to go but...stand strong.”
Trinity rose a fist mid air then started covering the ground she lost.

An announcement had never filled her with such joy. Normally they were long winded, boring, or on the topic of an incident or welcoming speech but it was capture the flag along with the teams and guidelines.

“See ya on the flip side.”
She saluted to Mateo beaming, and without losing a beat headed to the Spartans base.

Once there, it was Theo that took the reins when she expected a plan to come from Alex or Lise. But the Son of Artemis..it was a nice curveball especially when he spoke such strategy and edge. Harley saluted when he gave her her role. She could definitely make heads spin. Now she was just itching to put that plan in effect alongside her teammates.

When they were all on the same page, Harley didn't waste time darting off and neither did Alex which she assumed would be her complementing pair. Harley had lost the brunette regrettably but no matter, Harley was quite capable of being an independent scout and she could always speed back and forth to tell their defensive line how things were looking or if she found that blue flag. Just then her foot landed on something and before the rope could seize her by the ankle she skipped out of it just in time.

Handsome director Alaric neglected to mention there were traps laying about. But Harley found it all the more exciting. She grinned wickedly and sped off to see what else she could find.

After smugly enjoying her specially made breakfast, a higher member of camp entered the hall and took over the show. Unfortunately a dreadful announcement came from such a handsome face. However, it did spike her intrigue.

_____________________________________________________________

Any feeling of content, peace, even the mundane and boredom was erased in seconds as she lay eyes on a particular male with glasses. Evelyn felt like time stopped around her, there was no air, no space, everything seemed to drop, including her heart. It wasn't because he was good looking, though he was a fine specimen, but it was her instincts that plummeted and knotted at the same time.

Evelyn restrained herself from approaching him however, it was too hard to identify what her instincts were alerting her to. It wasn't bad like when she locked eyes with Eris's son and Hades child, but it was unsettling. Evelyn would remain at distance to observe him some more for now, who he mingled with or who approached him and gain more of a sense from there. She wasn't dumb enough to walk into the void of the unknowing. Besides, the game required her attention and Duke wanted her as a secret weapon. To become and serve as a shadow player. So that is what she would do.

Only after she voiced her own idea for an edge. “Can we join hands for a moment or touch? It’s not to pray, I promise you.”

Evelyn touched the closest team members on their upper arms. Those that did link up were so rewarded with heightened senses aside from touch and taste. She found when those senses were manipulated it made people paranoid or in a state of awe, it served as only a distraction and presently they needed focus. With their hearing, sight and smell peaked they could be more attuned to danger. Building on what Trinity informed them to - the armor and vantage points, it seemed they could use it.

“I don’t know much about war strategy but I think we have a strong team to use misdirection to our advantage.” Evelyn wasn't exactly sure what she could do yet, but in the moment, she had a feeling she'd know how to tip the scales in the blues favor.

Once the meeting of sorts was adjourned she trudged her way out wide.

Image Andy grabbed him, gave him some armor and pretty soon they were off to the planning phase. Andy, Theo and himself all had the same idea for him, basically being to flank and use the shadows to his advantage so at least they didn't expect anything outrageous of him. In turn, Mason repaid their non-stupid ideas with silence, unlike Alex. "Couldn't have said it any better." Mason glanced to Andy and rolled his eyes. Everything she said and did was punchable and irritating, other people had to see that. "I just want to add. No doubt others will want to take out the beasts, but we could use them couldn't we? Mason, he could tame the beasts, or would that be considered as cheating? I mean, Alaric did say we can use our powers."
She wasn't speaking directly to him, more about and around him. But he doubted someone would speak on his behalf. "Let's not pretend cheating matters to you,"
he remarked coldly.
"I mean, I could always help with that?" Kalani offered. "Since I'm pretty sure my abilities would come in handy to get them onside. Just a thought."
With great willpower he closed his eyes and replied as civilly as possible, "And I can try. We can try," he said pointing between Kalani and himself. He'd just have to have the unpleasant experience of encountering one first.

"Let's go." He gestured for Andy. Before they split up, her charging into battle and him slinking into the shadows, he decided to make conversation. "So what happened last night huh?" He saw the couple dancing and being all cute and loving, then they disappeared together for the night so he could draw the lines. Then again, he decided he didn’t need to hear it or be directly lied to. "You know, I actually had a little more faith in you. What’s worse is you’re supposed to be better than that. You know what he’s done, where he’s been but you act like a little teen girl with no self control. I mean what’d he do? Blow in your ear, tell you he loves you? If I wanted to conquer someone in the sac, I’d do that too, Andy!" He didn't even know he was biting back on the whole matter for so long until it exploded out of him like that. It wasn't even frustration alone but it was laced with disappointment. Any time he grew hope...

Honestly it was hard for him to even look at her. He really thought she had more brains than to give into a moment's desire. Mason put a hand in the air. "You know what, fuck this." Mason marched off and the pitch black enveloped him.

His pace gained him some ground and just when he was about to rip off his band, he heard some twigs snap and Mason looked up and saw Alex alone confronting two dog-like creatures with her hands up. While it wasn't the chance, it was a chance. Mason emerged from the shadow, and placed his hands on both the dogs flanks. They growled and spat at first at the contact but then he had them on his side. For a moment he stared at Alex. "Sic' her boys," he ordered, sending the beasts charging forward at Alex.

ImageHis teammates weren't exactly cosy with him, in fact they stared like he was some apparition or ghost or something. Basically the last person on earth they expected to see in their plane of existence. It made him feel uncomfortable, swallowing the lump in his throat then innocently trying to offer a smile but he was still the first to look away again.

Staring competitions weren't his cup of tea and when it came from a few different angles, it was a hard game to win or to even engage in. Thankfully a voice from the side emerged serving as a distraction."Hey- Will you be alright guarding on your own? I can hang back with you if you like, not that I'll be much help on the, ah, defence front." Then a warm smile graced her features. "I'm Annie, by the way."
"Oh, thank you," he answered. For taking initiative to introduce herself and for offering to hang back with him he supposed and being genuinely kind and considerate. Soon realizing that wasn't conversational or really answered her question, he added, "I'm Keith. But you already knew that cause..." Keith tried to grin at his foolishness but he wanted to die. "I'm sure I'll manage guard duty. I mean if things get bad people will just fall back and help defend anyway, right?"

“Also, as a bit of a forewarning, some of the reds are equipped with light armor but even through armor there's weakness,” Trinity told the team just as he was able to feign confidence.
Keith's shoulders slumped. "Great." Nonetheless he looked back to Annie and smiled reassuringly.

“Can we join hands for a moment or touch? It’s not to pray, I promise you,” a red head concluded. Keith frowned but drifted over to link up with his teammates. Whatever she did, Keith felt better. Like every color and shape was way more defined and vibrant, he could smell the woods. He inhaled deeply then came out of his daze as she spoke again. “I don’t know much about war strategy but I think we have a strong team to use misdirection to our advantage.”
"Misdirection," he heard himself echo. It felt like there was sense in the world again. "I can do that." Keith didn’t have to be a brute force, just think outside the box a little. And if Duke only mentioned him as defense, well...that was a hella a lot of faith from a logical person. Surely it was in him to think out the box.

He rubbed his hands together as if warming up his magic. He had this. Plus according to Duke's plan there was a whole first line of defense pushed forward before anyone got to him.

Image His idea had a few protests or additional ones, or even additional tips/warnings from the likes of Trinity, but at least everyone addressed it with a certain respect. He was just afraid they weren't broadening their horizons or saw their own potential, instead choosing to play something more comfortable. Comfort and confidence were important to an extent but it didn't leave much room for development. And for something like capture the flag and victory, it was essential the team knew how to link up, but within moments he could tell that wouldn't quite be the case. Without training with each other for weeks at least, it would be impossible to have that team connection; know each other's limits and capabilities.

Evelyn suggested they gather which was odd to say the least so out of the blue but Duke obeyed and shifted into range of the girl and felt better for it. Then she threw in her extra two cents by saying they had the team for misdirection to be an advantage.
They did and could but that was up to how the team played to decide that. No matter, Duke nodded to them. "Okay guys, do what you will. You essentially know you best."

His eyes finally flickered to Ajax's sternly. "Hang back in case stragglers get through" he had said. It was a good excuse, but not himself. With all there was to say already said, he marched off, gesturing for the team to move out too. Duke didn't get anywhere in a hurry, instead, he moved at a pace that lingered for Trinity who caught up in no time and he saw previously having words with Ajax. "Is he okay?" Duke checked. He gave her a moment to answer before offering a bright side. "It's probably good that we raise a bit of suspicion. Cause a bit of doubt among the Spartans." Ajax's lack of attendance may have brought that about but probably needed reinforcing. And Sylas in the first line of attack would also be a contributing factor. "Split up. Then they wont know who's coming for them or at what angle. But hit before our flank can be exposed. Keep them busy. I won't be too far."

Image Mason expected Andy's retaliation and snap back but he couldn't contain himself. After all the shit Ajax had done and his bitch little sister, and after all Mason and Andy have been through...He just wanted her to wisen up and it wasn't happening. So his patience was on a thin thread.

Mason's eyes might have grown a twinkle in them as a beast clamped down on Alex's shoulder, her screams of pain and squirming only egging the beast on. It was a show Mason couldn't tear his eyes from, and Alex in pain, why, he wouldn't miss it for the world even when her screams were likely to bring about attention. She hit at it persistently until it fled then she collapsed against the tree catching her breath and inspecting her glorious wound. Mason's fists clenched into hard balls then Ajax raced on scene.

"You son-of-a-bitch!" Ajax stormed up to Mason and shoved him in the chest. Mason stumbled back and his nostrils flared. "Don't you, EVER, hurt her again. I swear... I will rip your damn head off!" Ajax just volunteered. Mason growled and charged into the son of Zeus, tackling him to a tree. The two battled for control until Mason threw Ajax's weight down. That plus the bulging tree roots helped Ajax lose his footing. Mason got on top of Ajax and punched him in the face over and over with his dominant knuckle.
"Shouldn't have brought her to camp then you piece of shit."
Mason smashed his knuckle against Ajax again. Each hit was like sending a message. For Hades, for Jenn, for Andy, for me.

ImageHe supposed things would be okay as the absolute last line of defense. Duke had assigned people to the middle as an offensive defensive force type, then there was Ajax helping with stragglers. So Keith felt better for it until Ajax abandoned the position, darting off when there was a scream in the woods.

Keith wanted to caution it could be someone playing on Ajax's need to help others and be this leader figure, but it wasn't Keith's place and it was no use because Ajax was stubborn and certain it was Alex's scream above all. But another part of him wanted to laugh at how typical it seemed, how easy he could be lured to trickery. He grabbed his temple as it was like the damn devil in his head and quickly made himself productive. He picked up the flag no one else thought to attempt hiding and pursed his lips.

Thinking of how to protect the base and where to hide the flag had him pacing, but the more he thought about it, the more he liked the idea of having it in plain sight. Misdirection. The word kept echoing in his head. He waved his hand across the woods so blue flags popped up a few feet from each other. The game was capture the flag, not a flag and Keith had to admit it was a fun technicality to argue. Plus, if stragglers got through the brawns of the blues, this little live where's wally edition could hold the Spartans up for a potential time. But maybe not long enough...maybe it wasn't defensive enough. Keith drew up a forcefield closer to the real flag but where decoys still resided. He really did need help but for now he just prepared and acknowledged the worse, treating the base like he was alone.

ALEXANDRIA VALIS
DAUGHTER OF ZEUS
TEAM SPARTANS!
Hex: #d63b71

She felt her brother's hand squeeze hers, which meant to be his way of quietly telling her to stay calm, but she couldn't stay calm when Andy was talking like she knew Alex, but knew nothing. Mason's words cut the deepest, and she knew that Ajax wouldn't react to them since he knew Mason was only saying it all out of anger and pain. Even there were some truths to it. Alex's eyes began to fill with tears as she hesitated a step forward with her brother holding her hand still.

She went to say what she felt needed to be said, to defend herself, but the words wouldn't come out.

Alex tore off her colors as she walked away, letting the red band fall to the ground. One of her feet stepped on it as she headed to the medical hut. She did not once look back and kept going until she was out of their line of sight.

For the first time, she felt like she didn't belong. This entire world would be better off without you. Mason's right, you are a murderer. You may know that it was Jennova since Mason wouldn't even go that far, and no one else would do it would they? but you still should have been certain it was Jenn who killed her. You're a fool. No one will trust you or even like you again. You'll be alone. Even those you care about will probably turn against you eventually. Even your own brother.

"Shut up" she said to herself whilst gritting her teeth with one hand on the right side of her head.

Once at the hut, she pulled the thin material aside that hung over the doorway, her eyes looking around as she entered. She dropped the material curtain behind her, finding the place luckily empty, and slipped onto the closest bed before she carefully lay herself down on it, turning her back to the door as she slowly curled into a fetus position.

She began to cry into the corner of her pillow, muffling the sounds against the soft cotton.

Everyone would have probably lived if Hades hadn't broken his promise to Zeus. Hopefully, this wasn't going to become the fates of those who were new to Camp. She could not bear any more death to befall them.

Andy wasn't going to stop from saying what she felt she had the right to since it was her opinion and same for Mason, but Ajax wasn't going to let their words bother him like Mason probably hoped. Ajax was much more grounded than that. He had years of training above Alex, so he knew his sister wouldn't be the same. Zeus's anger stirred wildly in her. Was that her fault? no. Every God/Demigod has their strengths, weaknesses, and flaws. Even the children of Aphrodite who had always been painted as perfect in their Greek mythology.

"Shut up." He told Andy before his eyes went back to Mason. His sister had left in a way he didn't expect. Quietly without another chance to get her claws into the both of them. Andy had said what she needed to but was taking it a little too far. Mason was too, but Ajax still remained calm.

"You know that isn't going to happen," he told Mason. There was no chance on Earth, Mount Olympus, or the Underworld of him getting Alex before peace could finally grace their camp. Was that ever even going to happen with Hades lurking among the dead? Mason would have to convince his father to let go of everything he wanted to take from Zeus. For Aeons, the Gods have been trying to kill each other. Zeus has to kill his own father after all since he was eating his own children.

"She may have done something that will never be forgiven, but that is a girl who is longing for the love of her mother, and the attention of her father. She cannot control her anger like I can, and Jennova did not help the situation by being who she was to prove herself to Hades. Mason, your sister would have killed you if it meant to have your father favor her over you. She killed our mother, and if I need to get proof!? then I will. But she had the motive. You, are smarter and have better morals. You would never harm an innocent mortal. You even saved Andy from your own father, so I know that you have emotions worthy of others to care for you. I am not asking you to be my friend, I never would, but I ask you as a brother to let this lie. Not for Alex, not for me, but for the good of the camp. I know the both of you are saying all of this out of anger, so I will let it slide."

Image His head shifted to the movement next to him, but she didn't pay him a glance and she didn't have anything to say so Mason let the silence hang between them. Maybe she just needed someone in her corner after the rough patch with the Valis siblings. Especially since they were in the hall. She leaned against him and rested her head on his shoulder. "… Your new friend fucked up my face."
Mason smiled a little. "You're the one that told me to make friends, I can't help the quality of them. My options are pretty limited," he confessed. Not many people wanted a brooding son of Hades as company, understandably. "Your face will heal," he added more quietly, "and you'll be Mrs Athens again in no time."
Andy wasn't the kind that cared enormously about her physical appearance, but it was worth assuring all the swelling and purples and blues would fade then she'd be above beautiful again. With Mr. Athens by her side.

Mason's eyes trailed after the Valises uneasily as they left the hall. Then he cleared his throat once he was in the clearing. He wasn't sure what the rule was about bringing up the conflict in the woods but it had to be addressed. "So, thank you, for doing what you did in the woods. I know it wasn't for me and maybe I shouldn't even be thanking you but...I'm glad you were there. Hardly anyone speaks against her and him so...good of you to speak your mind, I guess."

After a moment more of quiet, Mason spoke up again. "Did you see my hot friend on the beach?" She couldn't see it leaning against his shoulder but Mason smirked smugly and it was probably best Andy was blind to his too proud features. A, for acquiring a 'friend' and b, because she was smoking. "Sure, she hasn't been seen or heard from since but to be fair...Theo kissed her last." Mason chuckled to himself.
Honestly, for today, he was done with spending energy on the Valises and talking about them. However his friend might not have felt the same so for one last time, Mason brought them up. "You can go talk to him if you want," he said quietly. "I mean..." he sighed out "I would like you to at least wait for him to apologize but I wont mind."

ImageHe blew out his lips as he headed back to the hall twisting around his shoulder. That didn't quite go as planned but he knew that was a big possibility and it was worth a try. Duke only wished he could quickly have a word with his team or check who was still active on field. Since departing from them it was literally the last he had seen of them.

Ajax was the first face of one of the people that had been defeated, waiting outside the hall. Duke smiled, oblivious to the mood surrounding him. "My go-to guess would be Trinity but she was on our side, so who got the jump on you?" As Duke came closer, Ajax’s mood became apparent and Duke’s smile slowly faded. A bad time for jests.
He stood by Ajax waiting for words or a grunt, or some sign to indicate where his head was at. Sometimes even silence spoke for itself.
Or a storm. Duke's brows furrowed slightly as he looked towards the central point of the storm, then downward as if he could pierce the source through one hundred obstacles this far way with his eyes. Alex.
Eventually, he sighed. "I'm going to get something to eat," he pat Ajax's shoulder once and went inside the hall to avoid a potential downpour.
Duke picked up a fruit and tossed it in the air to himself as he took a seat. Only few were gathered in the hall which meant they had either grown bored and wandered away or the Trojans and Spartans were putting up one hell of a fight. Good.

ImageIt got to the point he sat guard on the ground with his legs crossed and back to a tree. Keith threw up dirt to see which direction the wind would carry it. Unsurprisingly it wasn't that fascinating or long lasting of a distraction.

A small part of him thought he could pass the time with a bit of mischief, conjure something to amuse himself, but he quickly dismissed the idea. Keith wasn't quite as talented to just throw his magic around like that, nor devious or destructive. And even if he conjured something how could he control it? He couldn't risk an illusion because then he'd lose sight of the game. There must have been some way to let the time pass easier before someone came screaming through the woods "we did it!" and victory hugging and whatever else it was sports people did these days. Streak?

That meant the safest thing to do was move a leaf with his powers. He hardened his gaze on a single leaf and outstretched his hand. At first it levitated a few feet from the ground, then dropped suddenly but Keith propelled it in the air again with a start. Slowly he brought the leaf towards him and studied its patterns, rotating it slowly like something that belonged in a gallery. Keith hummed in his throat before a sudden breeze swept the leaf away. At first he thought it was his doing, a finger gesture too quick or so, but the clouds darkened and thunder sounded across the sky.
Keith hugged his knees. "This just got a lot worse." Now he'd be cold and have to deal with thunder and lightning as distractions.

Image He got a small chide for calling her Mrs. Athens but liked or not, it was part of the truth when you stood next to Golden Boy, and Andy would always return to his side. The two were head over heels. But she didn't need his bitterness or snide remarks...it had been a tough day already for her and she was here, with him.

"It was for you... And me." Mason glanced at her. He didn't much enjoy bringing her into the conflict or being a factor of her involvement. But there you had it. He held her arm around his gently. "I hate the way she looks at you. Like you're some kind of monster. She judges you and doesn't even know you. She's the monster. I saw it... the rage in her eyes. No one cares that I was there, what I saw or what I did. They all forgive her like it never happened. While I had to sit there with this... Burden. That I wasn't fast enough to save Jennova. That I couldn't call you and tell you the moment it happened. I carried her body... I buried her."

Mason shifted, letting Andy go and untangling his arm from hers and straightening up. Even after a year it still felt fresh. It still felt surreal to lose Jennova and not be there for her. For his best friend to have to handle her head and headless corpse. Mason wished he didn't go on that stupid hunt for the older demigod. He almost felt he owed Andy an apology for having to experience and deal with the burial of Jennova, taking on his responsibility.

"Those images haunt my dreams. Jennova, the Underworld... Daniel." He almost forgot how similar of boats they were in. And how he abandoned her after the death of her brother. Mason had to wonder how she was even still at camp after the hell the place had put her through and her boyfriend incident.

"I don't want to talk to him..." Andy concluded.

Mason sighed out softly, not that she could be blamed. It was just that now he felt guilt for the silence that loomed overhead. Mason had done well skirting around the weight of Jennova's and Daniel's death, always addressing it with a certain distance. And he never had the heart to tell Andy he didn't see Daniel in the Underworld. He didn't like bringing his name up in front of her. Mason had Daniel's back one second, then the next he was stabbed through it.

"How'd you survive without me?" He meant it a lot more genuinely than joking.

ImageA siren sounded and Keith instantly jumped up to check his illusions were in place, and the numerous decoys were. That meant they won! Right!? There was no one around to confirm his suspicions so he slowly crept away from his post, sure it indicated an end to the game yet ready to dart back if he had misunderstood the universal sound of conclusion.

Thankfully it was the end of the game and all that Keith felt was relief. Not joy or pride that the Trojans won, only relief and luck that he didn't have to encounter some super competitive hot-head and now he could go about his day without anymore hassle.
Rather than head to the hall he headed to his cabin. A strategic choice since there was no use going out of his way to not fit in, however, his stomach had slightly different ideas. Missing breakfast and jumping straight into the horrible flag game really had his gut churning and his cabin was missing food due to his late arrival.

His indecisiveness and quick pace trying to avoid the downpour had him bump into someone and he immediately sighed. "I hate myself,"
he mumbled.
Before he could tend to the apology, somebody yanked the back of his collar then pushed it. His body became a yo-yo of sorts as the motions continued with some heckling, "Don't walk into ladies. You're puny, so puny. You think you'd have a brain at least," and the big brute's knuckles connecting with the back of Keith's neck and head until they finally pushed him in the mud.
"Really, Biff?"
Keith made the mistake of commenting before he was up.

"Not all of us. But I suppose I can see your point," he replied.

Of course not everybody would be on board for the ideal, harmonious and trusting environment Evelyn spoke of. Aside from Sylas having the opposite goal; greed, anger and envy existed outside of his menace. But she didn't have to explain the vague usage of harmony on camp to him. As he said, he saw the point anyway.

Sylas lips parted to respond to her calling him out. As things dared to get interesting and personal, they were interrupted by the airhorn concluding the game. "I guess you'll just have to wait to find out." He headed for the main hall while Evelyn froze in place. In his instance he was saved by the horn, but she couldn't blame him for that as luck was her forte.

"You're a formidable teammate. I wouldn't mind working with you again sometime," he said for final effect.

Her brows furrowed gently. Why did it feel like salt in a wound? A compliment with an unsaid juxtaposing position. After a moment of pondering, Evelyn sighed at herself and concluded not to waste anymore time on it. The solution was simple, don't team up with him or help him again.

She took her time returning to the hall, looking down at her feet and pondering who had won the game to keep her mind busy until someone bumped into her. “Watch it,” Evelyn said.

A fellow demigod flocked to her aid unnecessarily. Before she could even thank them for the thought, things escalated, they man handled the other that she recognised was on her team. She didn't react instantly. Evelyn regretted to even have second thoughts of intervening, as if she'd done her teamwork for the whole year. When her former teammate was tossed to the ground, she stepped forward.

"Really, Biff?" The boy with glasses teased earning him another blow.

“That's enough,” she said sharply. “Go. Now.” She kept her nerve until the Biff character was out of range. A hint of smile threatened to cross her lips as the accuracy of description hit her. But she quickly fixed her gaze to the male on the ground. “Why would you allow yourself to become McFly?” Evelyn stood by him and intended to walk with him until he was under the public eye again and could avoid trouble.

“I didn't catch your name. I'm Evelyn.”

Anxiety grew on her at the concept of Wes going after the flag alone. Maybe some Trojans were lurking nearby and helping him. The airhorn sounded and she sighed out in relief. At least the damned game was over which meant no more harm could come to him. Now all there was to do was to wait a little while longer to see if he returned to the hall in one piece.

When she saw Duke, she felt the urge to spring out her seat and ask how many Trojans were out, how he go out and how the progress with Wes's new arm was going. Rumour had it both siblings treated his missing limb as a project, although she couldn't see the youngest member of camp to inquire. Then her eyes found Mason and Andy. The pair looked like they were winding down but deep in thought. They often looked burdened by something heavy - probably the loss of their siblings that they shared and who knew what else. Trinity chewed on her bottom lip. On one hand she wanted to ask about Wes's arm, on the other she owed it to Andy to tell her that most of the Trojans saw Daniel. But she didn't want to interrupt Mason and Andy's conversation. And she wanted to be right. What if her eyes deceived her and he just looked a little like the son of Hecate? Then Andy had every right to be pissed at her. She clenched her teeth a little. Trinity left her seat. She was going in, deciding the consequences of her being wrong and telling Andy was better than Andy finding some doppelganger of Daniel for herself.

“Hi guys,” she smiled a little, standing before Mason and Andy. “Sorry for interrupting but um...” she glanced between the two. Andy trusted Mason so it probably wouldn't be necessary to pull her aside. And this way, Mason could offer some back up whether Daniel was down under, emotional support and all sorts.

She bit her inner cheek, averting her gaze to her own fingers on the table. It was a lot harder suddenly to drop the bomb on her friend's head and it was downright cruel if she was wrong. But she knew what she saw. Wes and Ajax saw him too. “I think your brother's here,” she said softly and lifted her eyes to gauge Andy's reaction. “I- I don't know if it's a spell or ghost form...” Trinity was at a loss because it wasn't really Daniel and she didn't want Andy's hopes to skyrocket. Trinity saw the blade go through him. The blood on the grass, the blood on Andy.

She flickered her gaze to Mason worriedly, asking him to help Andy. To help make sense of this circumstance.

When Andy mentioned Jennova, Mason went ridged. He pulled himself from her, leaving her sitting there stiff... Just staring at her hands as they rested in her lap. She hated how he was blew hot and cold, it gave her whiplash. With him pulled from her, she scooted herself apart from him slightly with a sigh. "...I lost a sibling too, Mason," she said, barely louder than a whisper.

Then there was silence. Not that she was surprised. Maybe that's why Andy so rarely opened up anymore. People just looked at her like she was mad. Mason and herself had both been through a lot and more than anything, she just needed someone she could... be herself around, where she didn't have to pretend like she was ok all the time. She hoped that Mason would understand compared to the others.

"How'd you survive without me?"

Andy turned her head slightly toward Mason. Her expression was peaceful, like a sad sort of acceptance. "I didn't." She had long accepted that she wasn't the same girl from last year. Everything had changed... including herself. She was a ghost of her former self and surprisingly no one noticed.

“Hi guys,” Trinity said from across the table. Andy didn't even notice her approach, but a genuine smile came to her lips when she saw her. It's been so busy at camp as of late that she hardly had time to spend with Trin. Andy was thankful for her arrival. She wouldn't admit it, but she was scared what way that conversation could have turned. Not that Mason was much of a Let's talk about your feelings type of guy. “Sorry for interrupting but um...”

"You're always welcome," Andy said while motioning for Trinity to take a seat.

Something seemed to be bothering Trinity and the longer she was quiet, the more Andy grew uneasy. “I think your brother's here.” The words rang through Andy's mind like an alarm as she sat there unmoving. Before she could fathom to put together words Trinity continued. “I- I don't know if it's a spell or ghost form...”

Andy finally inhaled a sharp breath like she was gasping for air after nearly drowning. Her hands started to tremble as they rested on the table while her gaze was blank. "I—I—I don't understand... Where is he!? Why didn't he come see me!?" She quickly went from a daze to full on panic. Her thoughts flooded from her lips the second they hit her mind. Was he alive? Could he be? Why didn't Hecate tell her? Why didn't he come see her?

Everything began to spin as Andy grew lightheaded from the overwhelming news. It was like everything she had been dealing with for the past year had finally boiled over. Her right hand reached out for Mason as her vision went blurry. Before she could find him her eyes rolled back in her head as she feinted, her body tipping backwards off the bench.

Sloane had tried to hold onto Wes the best she could but with the rain her grasp was slipping. She had underestimated his own strength until he lifted her along with him until her hold broke. She floundered as she fell a couple feet. But luckily her feet found a limb beneath her while her hands grasped at the slippery tree trunk. By the time she had her bearings and even contemplated going up after him again. He had the flag.

Honestly, she was just happy for this whole thing to be over. Sloane tried her best and thankfully her brother wasn't there to see her fail. Although they were on opposite teams, he wouldn't like seeing her disgrace the family name with her inability to stop Wes.

She caught her breath where she stood in the tree before looking back up to the victor. Sloane brushed wet locks of hair from her face as she extended a hand up toward Wes. "Here, let me help you."

It took sometime but eventually the two of them awkwardly made their way back down the tree. "Thanks, Wes said once his feet were firmly on the ground. At the bottom of the tree Ji-hyun waited, while Wes' hound was recalled back into the woods at the final horn of the game.

"Good game you guys. I didn't hurt you, did I?" Wes asked Sloane as he ran a hand back through his wet hair.

"I'm good," Sloane responded with the best smile she could manage and a thumbs up. She didn't care that she lost. She just wanted to go back to her cabin and get into dry clothes more than anything. Physical activities were definitely not her forte.

We smiled toward the both of them, while offering them his fist in a friendly bump. "I'll see you all back at the main hall."

With the flag in hand, Wes took off in a jog through the rain back toward the main hall. His mind was still buzzing with the fact that he... out of everyone, had captured the flag. Even with the proof he doubted anyone would believe him.

He finally reached the main hall after many tumbles in the muck and mud on his way there. Wes trudged his way in through the door and shook his head, trying to get some of the water off. His eyes glanced around at the faces that sat around waiting for the results, but his smile faded slightly when there was no sign of Alex. He sighed slightly, hoping that he could figure out where she was but instead weaved his way through the tables toward a far one which held Mason, Andy and Trinity.

As he approached the table, Wes held the flag getting ready to toss it on the table like a football and do his touchdown dance. But he froze behind Trinity when he saw Andy's face and heard her babbling questions. "You told her?" he asked Trinity. It wasn't in an accusatory manor. She needed to be told and honestly hearing it from Trinity was better than her stumbling upon it on her own. No matter what the circumstances were that Andy found out, his heart ached for her.

He went to reach out his hand toward her, hoping to ease her emotions so that she could think clearly. But his hand was barely raised when she fell backward off her seat. "Andy!?"

Image He took Andy's hand and gave it a comforting squeeze. She survived, sure but they both knew surviving and living were different. In the silence that passed, Mason was trying to muster the courage to apologise for everything that she'd been through and just as the words were about to depart, Trinity stood at the table. Had it been anyone else they'd likely receive a cold glare but he didn't mind the daughter of Ares.

“Hi guys. Sorry for interrupting but um...” He furrowed his brows as she looked between them and took a more serious soft tone. Right now they were using each other as stabilisers and Mason didn't feel like leaving Andy yet and he sensed more bad news. “I think your brother's here.”
Mason straightened again while his lips fell apart. But he was speechless.
“I- I don't know if it's a spell or ghost form...” Trinity tried to explain.
Mason only shook his head softly then glanced to Andy. He was almost afraid to see her eyes, to meet the grief, despair or anger behind them.
"I—I—I don't understand... Where is he!? Why didn't he come see me!?"
"Andy…I wanted to tell you, I -."
But the overload of emotions caught up to her and caused her to tip off balance. Mason's arms shot out catching her just in time. He blew out his lips in relief, then looked up to Trinity and Wesley. He wasn't sure what to do with her or the whole situation for a moment, however, he settled on getting her out of the gawking eyes of the hall. Mason wrapped one arm under her knees and the other around her back and begun to carry her out.
"Come on guys, she's gonna need the biggest support system she can get," he told Wesley and Trinity without looking back at them.

Any other day this would be Ajax's job and maybe that's why it felt a little odd for Mason to carry someone else's girl in his arms, but Andy was one of his most treasured friends and he couldn't leave her. Besides Ajax had his own drama. Mason carried Andy carefully to her cabin. They didn't need the med hut when the diagnosis was transparent and he wanted her to feel as comfortable as possible. He laid her down on her bed carefully. "Take it easy, Andy," he told her quietly. He had a feeling that wouldn't be the case once she got out of her light-headed spell.

He wandered off to fetch her a glass of water then regrouped with the other two. "So you've really seen him then?" Mason asked lowly. It was a big discovery and all the more puzzling at the same time. "Did he say much?"

It made a little more sense why he didn't see Daniel in the Underworld. Mason's pursed his lips. "I got some things to iron out with Andy if you two don't mind," he said, directing the news towards the blonde.

Image “That's enough. Go. Now,” the girl ordered though the request personally felt a little late for Keith. Still, somewhere in him was a slither of gratitude. Had she not decided to intervene things could have turned out worse. “Why would you allow yourself to become McFly?”
That was her first question? Keith glanced up to her for a moment before deciding it seemed genuine enough and slowly moved to sit-up position. Least she got the reference.
"I don’t take pleasure in getting my butt kicked," he clarified. "But I am used to it so I try to make it as much fun as I can for both of us." Keith held his rib and winced then climbed to his feet.
“I didn't catch your name. I'm Evelyn.”
"I'm Keith. Thanks for your concern." Keith wanted to end the exchange there, in case more of her eager friends rushed to get a punch or kick in. Though, suddenly, it felt too rude to walk off so he kept in stride with her. If she was all bad and unapproachable, he supposed she wouldn't have bothered to introduce herself or hang around to see he was in one piece.
"Did you um..manage okay in the game? I mean, I assume we won but it's also plausible that they forgot about me." He tried to smile though the sting of being invisible or some meat heads chew toy always hurt. At least a little.

In search of more conversation starters, he next said, "So Evelyn, do you have a boyfriend?" Only to figure out a moment later how it must have sounded. "I mean I'm not interested or anything but- no - you're a very beautifu- pretty girl woman. You're super attractive, I just don't want to date you. I'd be happy to date a woman of your stance, I'm not trying to start anything." He pinched the bridge of his nose and cringed wishing some tidal wave would come and spontaneously wash him away.
On all accounts the girl was gorgeous. And even when she was a little rough around the edges he detected something more caring and involved at her core. Then again, his hunch could be way off base, shrouded by delusion. Keith cleared his throat."Please feel no need to answer that question. It's completely inappropriate."

ALEXANDRIA VALIS
DAUGHTER OF ZEUS
Hex: #d63b71
Alex couldn't leave without saying goodbye to her friend and Duke, so she headed back to the hall hoping that they would still be there. She could hear the others chatting and laughing inside which made her feel more distant from herself. She used to laugh and smile just the same, but now every vibrant colour of her soul seemed to have been drained from her body entirely. She felt like something was eating away at her, something that she couldn't remember but needed to remember.

She headed inside, her right hand clutching her bags handle that hung over her right shoulder. Standing by the door, she placed her rucksack down onto a table next to her. The game had obviously ended but not everyone was back yet.

Alex took a seat, sitting on the edge of it as she took a deep breath and then turned her head toward the back of the hall. Duke sat on his own with a fruit in hand.

With her eyes still on him, she reached for her rucksack, curling her fingers tightly into the deep green material at the top of it before she stood up and began to walk over to him. There was no point in lying about anything since he and the others would find out anyway. Ajax always turned to Duke. "Duke..." her voice soft. "I...I'm leaving camp for a little while. I wanted to say goodbye to you and Wes first. You need an explanation, and the only one that I can give right now is that I need to clear my mind, and to find who I am again... then I'll come back." she promised. She couldn't leave this place for good. There were people she cared about even if they didn't care about her.

She wasn't sure how he'd react to what she had just told him, but her mind was made up. She would stay in a motel for tonight, then head to her hometown and revisit some old friends and whatever else she could find to do while there. Just nothing reckless.

AJAX VALIS
SON OF ZEUS
Hex: Green
Ajax headed back inside and poured himself a fresh mug of coffee from the machine. He stood there in his own world as his eyes rested on the table where is sister sat. "No." he said, shaking his head before he left the house. There was no way he was going allow her to just head out there without anyone being with her. He understood she wanted to be alone, but what if Hades finds her? maybe Andy could put some spell on her, keep his sister hidden from those who wanted to harm her, but at this point, why would she want to help him? yes, they were together still, but the way he spoke to her to defend his little sister had caused a wedge between them, causing his girlfriend to turn to her best friend for comfort and support. Daniel was the only other option.

Hopefully, Alex hadn't left yet. Knowing her she would want to say goodbye to Duke and Wes first which would maybe bind him some time. Ajax quickly ran around the camp in search for Daniel, right up until he found him with Evelyn. He hated interrupting, but this was important to him. "Daniel," he said, not knowing that Keith wouldn't know that name. "I'm sorry for interrupting anything if I did, but this is urgent." he promised. "Is there anything any of you can do, like some kind of spell to protect and hide Alex while she's outside of camp? she's leaving for a little while, and I won't rest unless I know she's safe. Please, I'm begging you." begging wasn't something Ajax did often, but he was doing it now. "I will do anything. I will wash your dishes or something." he half laughed.

“I—I—I don't understand... Where is he!? Why didn't he come see me!?”

Trinity opened her mouth like she could provide the answers but all that emerged was a croak.

“You told her?”

Trinity felt a brief wash of relief come over her, knowing Wes was in one piece behind her. On the other hand, she had a very distressed friend ahead of her. And soon enough that worked up friend ended up falling towards the floor. Trinity jerked forward but Mason caught her. She put her hand on her forehead and exhaled, forcing her muscles to relax at the same time. “Yeah,” she answered Wes finally. A little angel at the start of the capture the flag game told me to. But why didn't it feel like the right thing to do? The information caused Andy to border hysteria and faint!

"Come on guys, she's gonna need the biggest support system she can get."

Trinity shifted to make room for Mason and Andy. As she turned she noticed the flag. In any other instance she probably would have pounced on Wes in an over excited triumph and asked for the details but now hardly seemed the appropriate time. She offered him a tight smile and tailed uselessly behind Mason to Andy's cabin. Rather than stroll on in, Trinity lurked by the doorway. She didn't want to hover over Andy, especially when her friend was in the most qualified hands; Mason understood the lost sibling concept and resurrection. Trinity leaned against Andy's cabin and sighed. She imagined what it'd be like losing Sam and coming to terms with it within a year only for someone to come along and claim he's alive.

"So you've really seen him then?" Mason came back asking. "Did he say much?"

Trinity reluctantly shook her head. “Not to me,” she regretfully reported honestly.

"I got some things to iron out with Andy if you two don't mind."

At this Trinity straightened. She had half a mind to oppose and insist to stay but Trinity tried to think of a reason or what her company could offer and reached nothing. Instead, she nodded to Mason and wandered a few feet away from the daughter of Hecate's cabin. Trinity pouted and trudged a few steps to Wes and put her head to his chest in defeat. Even though his shirt was damp from the rain, Trinity couldn't bring herself to care and for a moment she just let herself sulk there. “I should have waited for you. You could have broke it to her better and helped her,” she muttered.

She sighed out then drew back to glance at the unlikely victor of capture the flag. Her eyes scanned his face, almost getting distracted by his eyes, before they trailed to his body. “You don't look too beaten up so that's good. How'd you all fare?”

"I'm Keith. Thanks for your concern." At least she obtained a name to the face and distortion he gave her.

Evelyn detected a moment of stiff silence from there but it was something she was compatible with. It didn't phase her in the least. However, Keith felt differently. "Did you um..manage okay in the game? I mean, I assume we won but it's also plausible that they forgot about me."

“I did.” To throw the guy a bone however for conversational efforts, she added,“my role was a little more supportive and focused on helping and hindering through indirect methods. I'm fairly sure we won.” Evelyn shrugged. “I'm not clairvoyant or psychic but it's a hunch. Besides, I think people would notice if you failed as a defender.”

"So Evelyn, do you have a boyfriend?" She faltered in step at the abrupt topic change and looked at him wide eyed. "I mean I'm not interested or anything but- no - you're a very beautifu- pretty girl woman."
Despite herself, she felt her cheeks grow warm even as his yammering continued. "You're super attractive, I just don't want to date you. I'd be happy to date a woman of your stance, I'm not trying to start anything. Please feel no need to answer that question. It's completely inappropriate."

Evelyn snapped out of her flattered state. “Don’t hurt yourself, it's fine,” she concluded for him.

Further saviour came in the shape of Zeus's son, calling out to Daniel while meeting with Keith. Evelyn gave Keith an unimpressed side-glance. Before she could walk away, Ajax continued. "I'm sorry for interrupting anything if I did, but this is urgent. Is there anything any of you can do, like some kind of spell to protect and hide Alex while she's outside of camp? she's leaving for a little while, and I won't rest unless I know she's safe. Please, I'm begging you."

Evelyn paused. A leader begging. The blood of Zeus no less. And he did say any of you, unless Ajax was just referring to Keith and his split ego. “I might be able to bless a possession of hers, as long as it's always on her being.” Then daringly and inquisitively, she asked, “What is it she needs protection from?” Because what did the daughter of Zeus need protection from? Evelyn imagined only a few things could triumph over their power. “If you want this done right, it's better to know what we're hiding her from,” she said. While it did peak her interest, she wasn't asking for gossip's sake and she wanted that to come across clear to Ajax.

Image Trinity and Wesley agreed on one major problem: Daniel wasn't totally Daniel. The guy made a scene wherever he pranced off to and that was exactly what Mason feared. So not only did Andy have this resurrected brother that hadn't seen her yet, but he'd be someone different like a doppelgänger or shell when she'd see him. Hopefully Mason just met him first. He closed his eyes to gather his strength and courage to be able to comfort Andy.

Heading back to her room, Mason quickly missed the reinforcement of Wesley and Trinity when he saw how Andy was. Mason slowly approached and sat on the edge of her bed and wrapped his arms around her. "This could be a good thing," he heard himself tell her softly even when he believed the complete opposite. It'd probably be more like torment but right now it seemed like the girl needed hope. "At least he's here." But the both of them knew there were fates worse than death. Like having a soul removed, being tortured and near broken, tormented by ghosts of your loved ones.

He sighed out and drew away from Andy to meet her eyes. No more bullshit, she deserved better. "I never saw Daniel in the Underworld. Hades kept me pretty busy but from what I saw...not in our domain anyway," he shook his head. "I'm so sorry, and I know that doesn't change anything but I am. I wanted to tell you sooner but you just looked like you were getting happy again and I couldn't ruin that for you."

Mason wanted to comfort her but for the life of him he didn't know how or what better news was on the horizon for her. "I’m gonna be here for you this time. No matter what. You got a whole support system at camp.” The son of Zeus, son of Hades, daughter of Ares who'd all try their hardest to protect Andy and pick her up when she was down.

"If you want to see him, when you're ready, we could search for him together. There's no rush," he told her gently.

"Daniel," Ajax called.
Keith glanced over his shoulder for a moment before engaging in eye contact with the son of Zeus. Apparently he meant him.
"I'm sorry for interrupting anything if I did, but this is urgent." Keith expected as much, seeing as they didn't cross hairs that much and the way Ajax headed towards them. But what news did he bring? Keith entwined his hands behind his back, listening patiently. "Is there anything any of you can do, like some kind of spell to protect and hide Alex while she's outside of camp? she's leaving for a little while, and I won't rest unless I know she's safe. Please, I'm begging you."
Keith rose his brow quizzically. "I'm sorry?" He turned on his heel to look at Evelyn then twisted back to Ajax.
"I will do anything. I will wash your dishes or something."
Keith's head jerked back. He never thought he'd see the day or prank Ajax offered to be a slave. When it came to Alex though, it most likely wasn't a joke. So as to prevent igniting the wrath of Zeus, Keith cleared his throat. "It's not that I don't want to help you, Ajax. It's more the fact that I..." he shifted uncomfortably and shot a nervous glance between his company then rested his gaze on the ground.

Before he could finish, Evelyn cut in unbeknownst to her that she was sparing him from more humiliation. “I might be able to bless a possession of hers, as long as it's always on her being. What is it she needs protection from?”

Keith's brows shot up. It wasn't forbidden to ask Ajax questions but he thought it might have been - fair and a good question, completely, but a little brash. "If you want this done right, it's better to know what we're hiding her from," Evelyn justified. Keith found himself nodding along. The perfect question followed by the perfect explanation. Hitting that nail on the head.

He cleared his throat. "We can always try," he finally answered and shrugged. It was Ajax's call if he wanted to follow through with it or not. Well technically it was Alex's since the charm or cast was going towards her and everyone knew she could be a firecracker but Ajax was the scarier sibling and Keith didn't fancy letting the camp suffer severe storms until Alex came back. "Hey..um, ha- has Alex consented to this or..?"

"Duke..." Alex called to him softly. Initially he turned to her with a ready smile and some taunting on the game but something in her expression made him stop before it could even begin. "I...I'm leaving camp for a little while. I wanted to say goodbye to you and Wes first. You need an explanation, and the only one that I can give right now is that I need to clear my mind, and to find who I am again... then I'll come back."

ImageFor a smart man, her plan seemed to render him dumb and speechless. Especially when it was relatively straight-forward. "I uh...I don't know what to say," he admitted. He didn't want her questioning her decision and self further but he was never one to hold back on his voice. "Alex, you're young and extremely powerful and...cursed with the temper of Zeus, you made a mistake. It was a big one and costly, but it was a mistake. You can find yourself here. Stressful environments is sometimes where we find out the most about ourselves."

Duke understood her desire for meditation and to get away from camp and if she wanted that break, she'd get it. There'd be no stopping her. And Duke wasn't trying to stop her, merely pointing out that she didn't have to escape. He could guess a large part of her desire to clear her mind and find herself was related to the death of Hades daughter and it wasn't something she could run from or reset. Just learn to live with it...and that was the reality.

After a moment of staring at her and helplessly hoping she got the revelation and inner peace she needed, he continued, "Thank you for telling me. I appreciate it." Because the alternative was she would be gone without a trace and it was discourteous to those who did care for her. He opened his arms, apple still in hand and gestured for her to come to his chest. Once she did, he closed his arms around her and gave her a tight hug. "I wish you the best. Don't be gone too long, you'll give Ajax a heart attack." He chuckled and pulled back rubbing her arm.
"Oh, since you're gonna see Wes," he paced out the hall and down to his workshop, his long strides clearing the distance efficiently so as not to delay Alex. He nudged the door open and left it ajar for Alex to follow. Duke grabbed the bionic make-up sitting on his table. "A prosthetic arm," he handed it to Alex. "Early stages," he stated eyeing his work fondly. "I'm sure Wes would have fun being terminator for a while but I trust he'll want something more fitting...that replicates skin..." Duke smiled at Alex. "It helps if someone he trusts puts it on for him. So put this on his rotator cuff, strap the buckle across his chest and spine, like a saddle and he should be two armed again," he told her making the gestures across his own body.
"Plus, between you and me," he said leaning in like he was going to tell a secret, "I don't really want McKenna around him." And he grinned projecting his first big brother line. He knew Wesley was a decent guy and wasn't aiming to get in every girl's pants and McKenna wasn't charmed so easily regardless.

ALEXANDRIA VALIS
DAUGHTER OF ZEUS
Hex: #d63b71
Her eyes locked onto his as she stood silently before him, listening to every single word that left those lips of his. She studied his facial expressions. Deep down, she hoped that he would beg her to stay for him. But would it have actually made a difference? being at camp at this point in time made her feel distant from everything she once loved.

For as long as she and her brother had known him, Duke had never once held back on his words, and maybe that was why she liked him so much. He was honest with her, and never afraid to call her out on things she did wrong. The fire he had been born with surely roared inside of that warm soul of his. Powerful, handsome, strong.

He was right, but she still needed to distance herself. "As you know, I still have to go.I see her face in my dreams. I see her even when I'm awake." she admits to him. The first signs of her mind becoming unhinged to the regret of taking another's life. She was strong, but this had broken her. "I need to find peace with myself, then I promise I will come back."

"Thank you for telling me. I appreciate it."

Alex Sighed. "You're welcome." she told him softly. He actually understood.

When he opened his arms for her, apple still in hand, he gestured for her to come to his chest. She found herself swallowing before she walked towards him. He closed his arms around her and gave her a tight hug. Alex closed her eyes as she wrapped her arms around his waist, her cheek against his torso. "I wish you the best. Don't be gone too long, you'll give Ajax a heart attack." He chuckled. Alex smiled at that, picturing how much her brother truly would panic before Duke pulled back rubbing her arm.

Image "Oh, since you're gonna see Wes," She followed him out the hall and down to his workshop. He nudged the door open and left it ajar. Alex slipped inside as Duke grabbed the bionic make-up sitting on his table. She looked at it before looking up at him. "A prosthetic arm," he handed it to her.

Alex took it carefully, scared of breaking it. "Early stages," he says. She watched him as he eyed it fondly.

She steps around the table and towards him, gently planting a soft kiss to his cheek once close enough. She draws back and looks up at him with a smile."Thank you." she says gently.

"I'm sure Wes would have fun being terminator for a while but I trust he'll want something more fitting...that replicates skin..." Duke smiled at her.

Alex chuckled. "He'll love it."

"It helps if someone he trusts puts it on for him. So put this on his rotator cuff, strap the buckle across his chest and spine, like a saddle and he should be two armed again," She made sure to remember everything. As he told her, he made the gestures across his own body. "Plus, between you and me," he said leaning in like he was going to tell a secret, "I don't really want McKenna around him."

Alex smiled a little. "I... I'm going to miss you, Duke."

Ajax looked to the ground and lightly clenched his jaw. "It's not that I don't want to help you, Ajax. It's more the fact that I..." Daniel told him. Hearing the pause in his sentence, Ajax looked up at him, catching the shifty uncomfortable look he shot the girl before she cut in “I might be able to bless a possession of hers, as long as it's always on her being. What is it she needs protection from?” she asked. He was hoping they wouldn't ask, since everyone probably already thought he was over protective of his sister already, and that he needed to give her space to breathe for once, but he couldn't help it. After losing their mother, he couldn't lose her too.

Ajax glanced at Daniel before replying to the girls question. "Anything that is a possible threat to her. She's strong, I know, but... there's stronger out there. I want to make sure that she's just safe. It'll be a peace of mind."

"If you want this done right, it's better to know what we're hiding her from," Keith found himself nodding along.

Ajax sighed. His Father's short patience kicking in. It wasn't like he wasn't grateful, he just didn't want to miss the chance of keeping her safe. He couldn't fail her.

Daniel cleared his throat, causing Ajax to look at him again. He didn't know what to tell them. "We can always try," he finally answered and shrugged.

Ajax reached into his pocked and pulled out a necklace that had a butterfly attached to it. A symbol that had always been from their father, to Alex. He held it out towards Evelyn, and looked up at her as he waited for her to take it from him. "Hey..um, ha- has Alex consented to this or..?"

Ajax licked his lips and looked down. "No, but she'll understand why I did it."

It wasn't long before Mason rejoined Andy in her room. She slowly raised her head from her bent knees to look at him as he sat down beside her. He didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around her, which she was grateful for. Andy had no idea what to make of the situation but having him and Trinity there made it better. She felt herself slowly melt into his arms, resting her head on his shoulder with a sigh.

"This could be a good thing," Mason said to her. "At least he's here."

"It feels... wrong," Andy said after a long pause. She didn't want to vocalize it, but she was so exhausted of holding everything in all the time. She wanted Daniel back... more than anything. But everything has a cost and she didn't want her brother's soul to pay it.

Mason sighed and slowly pulled away from her. Andy slowly sat upright, turning to face him with furrowed brows. But this time he didn't get up and leave like he so often did whenever something got hard. He looked her dead in the eye as he spoke once again. "I never saw Daniel in the Underworld. Hades kept me pretty busy but from what I saw...not in our domain anyway." Andy sighed softly, nodding her head in acknowledgement. It wasn't his fault, nor did she blame him. But it didn't help the knot that grew in her stomach. "I'm so sorry, and I know that doesn't change anything but I am. I wanted to tell you sooner but you just looked like you were getting happy again and I couldn't ruin that for you."

"It's ok," Andy said softly, her voice cracking toward the end as her gaze fell to her hands. A tear slowly trailed down her cheek as she took a deep breath. It was like fate was catching up with her for playing in the Gods' game.

"I’m gonna be here for you this time. No matter what. You got a whole support system at camp."

Without another word, Andy scooted across her bed and closed the distance between herself and Mason. Her arms wrapped around him while her head fell to his shoulder. Her time at camp has been some of the hardest in her life, but she was unbelievably lucky to have wonderful friends here. It meant more to her than words could explain that Mason wouldn't leave her this time.

Her arms seemed to tighten around him slightly as Mason spoke, breaking the long silence. "If you want to see him, when you're ready, we could search for him together. There's no rush."

Andy hadn't thought of that, seeking him out. No matter how it happened, she was bound to cross his path one way or anything. But seeking it out meant she could be at least somewhat prepared. Andy knew she wouldn't want to face that alone. She nodded her head against his shoulder, sighing deeply through her nose. "I'm scared Mason," she whispered as tears rolled down her cheeks. "I just wanted him at peace... How am I supposed to face him? I couldn't save him. I handed him off to our mother... And h-h-he died. But, it's not him," she corrected herself.

She slowly pulled her head away from Mason's shoulder, wiping her eyes. Andy took a deep breath trying to calm herself. "How am I supposed to look at Daniel but accept that it isn't him?" She sniffled as she looked toward Mason, wanting answers she knew he couldn't give.

Trinity scoffed when Wes offered her the flag. He bit down on his bottom lip as his eyes looked downward slightly. "Sorry," she said as her hand took hold of his wrist, gently guiding it away from her. He meant nothing insulting by, other than he wanted her to have it. Hell, Wes would give her the world if it were within his power. But it wasn't. All he had was a drenched flag in his one hand. “You deserve it. It's yours, you won fair and square.”

Wes didn't say anything else nor argue, he simple tucked the flag into his back pocket with a sigh. His gaze followed hers toward Andy's cabin. It was quiet in there, no sign or her or Mason. Hopefully she was ok. He knew it worried Trinity even more. Wes was about to nudge her back inside but she decided to divert the conversation before he could.

“You know my biggest injury today...” Trinity clicked her tongue.

Wes raised his brows and gave an amused, "Hmm?"

“Was an overstrained muscle.” Trin pursed her lips with a nod. “So it's pretty serious.” Then not a moment later she laughed, unable to keep up with the act.

"Oh... gosh," Wes said with a shaking of his head. "Maybe you need to rest. Ya know, regain your strength."

“Did your...hound make it out okay? I mean, should I be afraid of the competition?” Trinity asked with a quirked brow and an amused smile.

"I hope so. I didn't see her when I came down from the tree," said with some seriousness in his tone. He then looked up to meet her gaze, smiling softly. "I didn't realize you were worried about competition," Wes teased. But as quickly as his smile came, it slowly faded. "We can forget the whole date thing if you want." Although his voice sounded a little sad, there was sincerity to it. "Andy is going through a lot. She needs you." He raised his hand slowly, allowing his thumb to softly brush the side of Trinity's forearm. "I'm not going anywhere."

Wes didn't want to cancel the date. It was his chance to finally spend time with Trinity in a way unlike he ever had before. But now was not the time to be selfish. He couldn't imagine what Andy was going through, especially going at it alone. Wes could tell by the look on Trinity's face and the way she kept checking the cabin like it might have moved in the last five seconds, that she was concerned. He wasn't going to stand in the way of her being there for her friend.
