a r r o g a n tx // x confidence is one thing, arrogance another, and although her confidence may seem charming, it is not rare for Lise's ego to flare, and sometimes, she is just a touch too cocky.
s e l f i s hx // x she has a penchant for thinking of herself first. Perhaps it is the logic-based aspect of her mind, swarming her mind with a survivalist instinct, or maybe she is just an inherently selfish soul.
a i m l e s sx // x genius-level intellect aside, it is sometimes difficult to believe that Lise is her mother's daughter, for she lacks any of the ambition or drive associated with Athena. This only adds to her apparent impetuousness, as she avoids responsibility like the plague and focuses instead on enjoying every personal freedom at her disposal.

P E R S O N A L I T A T E
xxx• x witty x • x impatient x • x raffish x • x confident x •
Snarky and clever, Lise's acuity is as fast as one would expect of a daughter of Athena, and she'll rarely let an argument end without herself positioned neatly on top. She is bold and confident in all manners of the word, and has a charmingly addictive way of speaking, her Parisian accent combined with her charisma oft proving itself irresistible. The arrogance that sometimes leaks through her lips is more impish than pompous, and she loves nothing more than to dance with people's insecurities, and bring those around her into her world; a world of laughter and adventure and thrills.
Her snarky ways walk hand in hand with her typical teasing, and she can just as easily poke harmlessly as she can deliver pride-crushing blows. Frankly, it really depends on her mood, and exactly how liked someone is by her. She is hardly the sort to keep her opinions to herself for the sake of looking like a more pleasant person to be around, and thus will make her thoughts clear come every opportunity. She has tact, but she prefers honesty over white lies, and such becomes clear not long after being in her presence.
Freedom-loving and strong-willed, Lise has no fondness for authority. Nothing irks her more than the feeling of being bound down, and doesn't place trust easily, particularly in figures wielding such power. It isn't rare for her to break rules purely for the adrenaline rush, and her wit can sometimes turn sardonic in her bad moods. It is these moments when her impatience is shown, her lack of concern towards people who can't keep up with her thoughts, and their deft procession.
Wild and eccentric, Lise likes to have fun. She loves parties, not for the booze or the sex or the music (although she is certainly fond of all those things), but for the atmosphere. For someone that can at times be egotistical, Lise is remarkably influenced by others. It is the atmosphere of such celebrations that adds to her spark, turning her from matchstick flame to blazing inferno with nothing more than a feelgood air. She is cheeky and mischievous, courageous and flirtatious, and she sees every day as an opportunity, as cheesy as that may sound.
She is a very warm person. Despite her own personal inhibitions when it comes to forming stronger relationships, she is fiercely loyal to the ones that really matter. She may seem the opposite in her drifting ways, but truth be told, once a strong enough bond is in place, Lise would go to the ends of the earth, powers or no. Although she is certainly endowed with a somewhat strong regard for self-preservation, she has values that keep her from turning away from someone in need. She is compassionate and considerate, and, despite denial from Lise herself, has the potential to be a pretty damn good 'hero'.

H I S T O R Y
Of course, being a so-called 'virgin goddess', Lise was born from Athena's mind, rather than her body, and as she formed, weeping and pale, with wisps of ice curling from her scalp, Athena was calm and collected as always, unhurt by her 'labour'.
When Athena disappeared from their life, there was an element of bitterness to Phillipe's reaction; he was almost offended by the goddess' dismissal, although he masked this with the very same imperiousness that Athena had first found so enjoyable.
Lise was thirteen when she finally learnt of her mother's identity, and, although Athena urged to send Lise to Camp Athens for her own safety, Phillipe was reluctant. There was something too delightful about having a genius daughter, someone that he could flaunt. Someone who would press people to comment, "My, she has her father's brains!"
As she qualified for college-level courses before she'd even finished high school, and jumped up classes, leaving her own age group in the dust, brought home award after award, and ended each school year as dux.
It was only when she began to rebel that Phillipe started feeling nervous. She gradually stopped showing up to classes, claiming that she would pass with flying colours, attendance or no. She talked back to teachers, and played pranks on students, knowing that, with her academic prestige bringing up her school's grade average, they'd always be reluctant to dole out any severe punishment. She had the intelligence to go places, but lacked the ambition, the drive.
It was at nineteen, however, that Phillipe finally caved, and actively encouraged his daughter to go to Camp Athens, following a mishap at a house party that got out of hand, and forced Phillipe to get her out of the public eye, for the sake of his own reputation.
