P E R S O N A L I T Y
Brookyln is a playful, opinionated girl, with a quick wit and odd sense of humor, she is an overly excitable girl, who finds beauty in everything. She is playful and loves to make friends. She easily amused and laughs at just about everything...loudly.
She can often times be found doing something art related, whether it being flipping through an art book, sketching in her sketch book, or even making little drawings on the window using the condensation. If not that, then she is reading, or writing, she loves falling into a fantasy world. She reads people like a book, and knows a liar when she sees one and if you are lucky, with her one your side, losing is next to impossible. She will go to bat for you in an instant. She is quick to deck someone if the situation calls for it. Brutally honest, she has an odd habit of mouth diarrhea where she just runs off and says things that she means one way, but it comes off a little harsher or at least more truthfully then she intends it. It's especially bad when she's nervous.

Julie was starving, she hadn't fed in days thanks to the werewolves recently prowling the town. She was getting sick of hiding from them and depriving herself of food so she decided to go out. From what she knew there was a party that night at some house, perfect place for a meal. She put on a tight red dress that showed off plenty of leg and cleavage with her red pumps. Red lipstick and a brush through her hair and she was ready to go. Walking down the sidewalk alone in the dark wasn't a big deal to her but it was an unwritten rule of the town not to. Of course Julie could handle herself so she really didn't have to worry about anything happening unless a werewolf decided to show up.

The party wasn't too far from her apartment but it was slightly chilly making her wish she had a car or a ride. Unfortunately she could afford one, not that she really needed one but using her speed isn't a good thing in this town you never know who's watching especially at night.

Finally she arrived at the party, tons of people to choose from. Julie smiled as she walked in the door. She took a drink from the table and gulped it down before grabbing a second cup. After the second drink she wasted no time getting on the dance floor.

Lillian had called for a meeting earlier that day, she was early. She had planned for the pack to go out scouting for vamps as they did most nights. She liked the idea of them not being able to hunt every night and being forced to go days without feeding. It meant they were actually afraid of them. She paced around the table that sat in the middle of the meeting room in their pack house. The pack house was located in the woods, away from town to keep away from the humans. If humans did find it it was usually assumed that it was a normal cabin.

She went through plans for the hunt in her head but she needed the opinions of her pack mostly her Beta, Serena. Serena was the one who kept Lilly's head on straight, she made sure Lilly didn't act just out of anger especially when it came to the other pack or anyone questioning her role as Alpha.

Being a female Alpha wasn't easy, everyone questioned your leadership and your ability as an Alpha even your own pack members. Lilly could usually handle it if it was another Alpha but her own pack members usually set her off. She remembered a time when all she wanted was to be a tracker, she had the skill but when the two packs were whole she was, and still is, considered a runt. There was no way their Alpha would have allowed a runt to be a tracker, too much of a risk. She didn't understand it until later but she was always angry that she was never acknowledged for her skills until she was considered for Alpha.

Vivian had nothing to do tonight, she'd already done some practicing and parties weren't her thing. She made herself some tea as she tried to think of something to do. She curled up on her couch and thought [i]Maybe just a book[i] she thought and got up to search for one she hadn't already read in her house. Finally she settled with her mothers spell book she's read it multiple times but it always made her feel closer to her mother.

She didn't know her mother was a witch until after she'd died, she was sure her mother would have told her and her sisters when they got older but she died when Vivian was very young. Her sisters found out about their mother and lied to her about it when she finally found out. She left after that, she couldn't see herself forgiving them for hiding such a thing.

Events for the next two days

Arthur met with Nathaniel and after a couple of hours of getting to know the youngster (history and all) he was accepted into the Coven. He isn't too sure what the boy's position will be but he will be assigned it soon.
Arthur senses witches in town and has given Elisabeth the job of finding them, with the help of Julia if needed.

Lillian's pack went on their hunt and as Willow had said some of her hunter's were hurt. Thankfully no one was bitten. Lillian is contemplating what Willow said about the two packs having to join together again to rid the town of vampires however she refuses to take orders from Willow.

Vivian and the coven grow stronger without realizing they were being sensed by Arthur. Vivian knows something big is about to happen but isn't sure what, sh'e afraid she must reveal the coven to the wolves sooner than expected.

Four bodies have been found in ally ways, three female and one male. All look as if they've been attacked by animals but they are drained of blood. Religious people think demons. Police think animals. Everyone else think there may be a cult forming.

Typically, Brooklyn was a happy girl, not much phased her, she saw stars in the darkest skies.

That was before her brother went missing. Donny didn't inherit the magic that was in their blood. That was blessed to only the women in their family for whatever reason. None of that mattered now, He was gone, she could feel it, and all the light seemed to vanish in Brooklyn's eyes. Cherry Blossom wasn't the best town to live in, but it wasn't bad. She typically kept to herself, she hadn't really been active in the Coven, not with Donny in town, he was suppose to go off , to some school far away, he only had a few weeks left, then she could focus. Her mother made her promise before she passed, that she would keep the magic and all of that away from Donny, make sure he didn't touch any of it, and live a normal life, but he stayed in Cherry Blossom too long.
Image
She wasn't told by any authorities but she heard on the news that three women and one man was murdered, and all of her senses told her that the one man was Donny. She felt it the moment it happened. She'd been sleeping, and she had the strangest dream. She watched her brother get on a train, He didn't look happy about it, but he waved to her, smiled and the train took off, and disappeared.

That was when she woke up to find the news report on the television. Donny was gone. She didn't want to admit it, but she knew it. Now she had to go down to the police station and find out.

The streets were busy, so she was certain she was safe enough. Cherry Blossom had rules. Donny didn't follow them. He was hard headed that way.

She took a breath and made her way toward the police station. Her eyes darted to the apothecary shop the women in her family owed forever. She hadn't been able to bring herself to work, the sick feeling in her stomach made it near impossible to think. She waited. She hoped that Donny would call, say he'd met some girl, and had been at her place, and forgot his phone charger. Something but nothing. It's been two days. She had to go.

She made her way to the police station and looked for Sheriff Dawson. "Hello?"There was already tears in her eyes. She could feel them, preparing to fall.

ā€œI would like to take a look.ā€ Nathaniel leaned forward and took the extended walkie-talkie from her passing reach over the counter-top, with a gentle, but firm grip. Sparring only a momentā€™s notice to glance down at the dials, and even over years of technological advances he was pleased to note that the common radio ā€“ while not unlike a CB-one for citizens, but was made closer to military grade models ā€“ wasnā€™t anything excessively fancy (sometimes, mankind could get things right ā€“ if it worked, stop trying to make it better, plain and simple). His fingers flicked across two dials with an all-to-familiarity of having used something similar before, until an answering, acknowledged beep echoed from the brother walkie-talkie still clipped unto her belt; both on a shared frequency now, that would not unnecessarily traffic normal police communications (or the hospitals, but those he was fairly certain had upgraded to the cell-phone or pagers by now). ā€œLet me know when she arrives. Iā€™d rather address herā€¦ away from the bodies.ā€ ā€œOf course.ā€ Nathaniel readily agreed, with a small, and almost sad smile on his lips in return. He removed his badge from his coat pocket to swipe at the reader at the nurses station, opening the doorway of the hallway heading towards the morgue for the young sheriff ā€“ giving her a friendly farewell nod for the mean-time, and watched as she made her way down to disappear out of sight eventually. Humphā€¦ That was interesting.

...

The nurse Janet made her return to her station with coffee in hand, and Nathaniel rose to depart ā€“ his shift now officially started, it was time to walk the floors (at least some, before heā€™d have to return to the morgue, the Sheriff, and the poor Brooklyn Simmons ā€“ to fill out and sign the eventual paperwork that always followed such unfortunate events as death and the like). He left the walkie-talkie in Janetā€™s capable hands, with the instructions to let Shane know when Brooklyn arrived; and contact him to make his way over at his soonest availability.

Despite not technically being a part of the conversation at the original hand, between Meredith and Willow ā€“ he still well knew exactly whoā€™s scents were clinging to his Alpha (and if he was far younger, not that heā€™d ever been so childish ā€“ the song ā€˜liar liar pants on fireā€™ might be accurate in this situation), and had a hunch of what their salutary wolf had been off doing. Markus kept his mouth shut, but still passed a mild warning glance towards Meredith in the kitchen... He had not entirely forgiven Willow for her earlier comment moments before regarding a generalization of men being good for nothing more than their fifth appendage, his exasperated side-glance had flickered with a sense of repressed suspicion at her smiling as he took a small handful of fries; that even her comment in response to his own and the knowing glance she shot, while he understood the full-intent, took a moment to get itā€™s intended rise out of him ā€“ and then a low growl of disgusted agreement rumbled deep within Markusā€™ chest briefly.

ā€œI donā€™t want to risk us splitting up. Thatā€™s not smart. Stength in numbers is always better. But Iā€™m not sure where to startā€¦ We could simply patrol. But I was thinking if we went somewhere like a bar or club, natural feeding grounds. We could spilt up enough to where we look alone but have ours eyes on each other and our phonesā€¦ Unless you all have a better idea.ā€

Willowā€™s ideas of the hunt were not hardly unreasonable, but Markus liked this about this pack ā€“ even as much as the two of them butted heads with each other, she would ask and accept everyoneā€™s opinions about how a nightā€™s hunt would go down. With no one immediately jumping forward, he began shortly himself, ā€œMy primary concern is the full moon tonight... We could focus on disrupting natural feeding grounds first, but - with bars or clubs, we do have younger members that cannot easily sneak into such places; additionally, those that don't have as much control (yet). We would be split already between those inside, separate enough to look like we're alone but within sight of one another or phones aiding. However, those outside, a mix of the young guns and some experienced I'd suggest, they would be a phones distance away if anything occurred - and possibly fluffier than intended, to crash into a bar or club." Markus offered evenly, not immediately shooting her ideas down - but offering the pros and cons in his 2 cents readily enough. Upon finishing the handful of fries, he pulled his hands back off the table, dusting them off on his jeans, before he continued. ā€œWe could do it after deterring natural hunting grounds, or we just patrol - looping the town and running streets, and alleys.ā€ This had the benefits of ā€“ one, getting their scent(s) out and about, and deterring the bloodsuckers; and two, gave the wolves an opportunity to know if there was vampires already headed towards or in the town itself; and last, avoiding any furry complications into 'Human' public places. Markus shrugged, as a 'up to you' statement, keeping his eyes on Willow and waiting for her reply.

ā€œAlright, man, well weā€™ll see you next week.ā€ ā€œGoodbye, Thanks!ā€ ā€œGood luck running the joint, Adios~ā€ Charles gave a radiant grin, shrugging as he bobbed his head friendly in farewell to the handful of his co-workers and boss that had decided that everyone would be getting the time off to go on a vacation together, to run amuck in the free time they had in the big city far outside of Cherry Blossomā€™s boundaries, window shopping to their hearts content, hanging around in the many hot spots that littered there, or grabbing a bite in the hundreds of restaurants and bistros dotting across the map. Heā€™d declined on going himself on such a notion of careless frivolity, of just doing water, consequences be dammed; and had simply offered to stay behind, and take on the few more classes of various dance and yoga to cover the slack, and keep patrons happy, while everyone else was gone for the week for the unplanned, spur-of-the-moment vacation.

Really, truth be told, Charles tended to avoid such events, even when invited out or under extreme duress from his few friends. Well, that might have been a bit of an exaggeration, but the point remained that he was certainly more comfortable (than even some of the born locals, given recent events) keeping his own two feet on the ground in Cherry Blossom ā€“ regardless of what he well knew went bump in the night. He much preferred that predictability here, it wasnā€™t quite safe, but it was, most of all, home. He blew out a contented whistle through his teeth, and with a quick glance to figure that everything was put back in its place(s) for the night, ready for the following day, and all the stray water bottles had eventually found their (a) owner(s) (or the recycling can); he headed out, setting the alarm, locked the door, and went out onto the streets of Cherry Blossom.

It was not much of a walk from the studio to the diner in which his mother and Aunt worked at (though this night, they were actually both off in fact ā€“ but with a known sweet tooth, and the habit of a chocolate shake after work engrained in his mind, he was headed that direction anyway), but with the sky stretching with the colors of the sunset his footsteps werenā€™t unhurried per say but simply purposeful in their movement. When he finally arrived, he caught the waitressā€™ eye, with a small grin, ā€œRegular, please.ā€ ā€œSure, just a minute.ā€ ā€œNo worries.ā€

Instead of sitting at the bar or at one of the open tables, Charles caught the familiar sight of Vivian, surprisingly that the ā€˜shadowā€™ of Gerald - all though the comparison was not entirely fair, with the other being as tall as him (and definitely taller than Vivian) with darker hair and fairer complexion; but still had promise in the other not often being two steps behind or ahead of Vivian, so technically Charlie could make such a point between the friends (not that he ever would) ā€“ wasnā€™t around (yet?). ā€œHey, Vivian,ā€ Charles greeted, as he made his way over and slipped down into the boothā€™s other seat, with one of his common bright grins (that probably said ā€˜Helloā€™ better than words did anyhow) lighting up his face.

ā€œHowā€™s your newest addiction going?ā€ He hummed in friendly question, not disapproving but not approving either. With a small hand flick, gesturing seemingly to the ā€˜newā€™ book she held that she was reading; but with enough hidden meaning veiled in his words, especially regarding her recent worries and fears that something big was coming to Cherry Blossom (and the possibility of revealing their coven to the wolves) ā€“ his meaning could be easily discerned.

ImageBrooklyn felt her heart racing as they got closer and closer to the morgue. The officer at the station suggested that she go there but was kind enough to give her a ride.
Once they pulled up, she sighed and made her way inside. She met with a kind woman named Janet, to which she called the radio alerting the sheriff of her arrival.

This was not a good sign. If she had any doubt in her mind, that Donny was in this place, it was gone just then. Brooklyn sat in the waiting room, twiddling her fingers, rocking her feet, and then suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in the side of her neck.

"Ahh." She gasped, clutching her neck a moment before pulling her hand away, expecting for it to come away red.
Nothing, not a drop, but there was pain, and it lingered. She looked around, feeling her neck for a bug bite of some sort but found nothing. With thought in mind, she realized, magic was involved.

Taking a breath, Brooklyn closed her eyes. It was a simple spell, something even a new witch could do. She was better with potions, she was master with potions but this wasn't out of her range of abilities.

She reached out with her minds eye, clearly the pain wasn't hers, but whose ever it was, was calling to her, or the closest witch around, so she mentally grabbed ahold of the tether that was binding them, and followed, until finally she saw a face.

"Sienna?" Brooklyn breathed, she couldn't see where she was, nor what was ailing her but she knew this was a cry for him.

She pulled out her phone and sent a text to Vivian and Charles.

[To: Charles: To: Vivian]
[Guys, Somethings up, Sienna reached out to me...I don't think she's okay, have you seen her?] She chose her words carefully, witches were paranoid, on a good day, but with all that was going on, and a full moon coming, there was no such thing as too careful.

{ Location: Hospital || Interacting With: Brooklyn Simmons, Hospital Staff/Patients (NPCs) || Mentioned: Shane Dawson || #112865 }

The day doctors, and nurses that worked all hours, were all a small team of successful and competitive staff ā€“ rivaling the care that big-city hospitals could give, and more related to the sheer amount in differences of work-load at that; but still Nathaniel was impressed still that such a quaint facility did a fine job with the limited patients it dealt with. Three floors upstairs to walk (not including the morgue, or emergency), but one completely empty of patients at this time, went by surprisingly fast, at least by a general walk-through went. It wasnā€™t long after heā€™d finished talking with the last patient, an elderly woman with a heart condition and strong memory issues that he sat through the conversation of a time fifty years in the past in vague interests (that the nurse that journeyed with him, had walked halfway out on; he just didnā€™t get bored so easily anymore, he supposed, because othersā€™ lives interestingly moved ahead while he stayed the same), when the page came from Janet that the girl, Brooklyn Simmons, had arrivedā€¦

Nathaniel made his way back down stairs, in a far to unsteady elevator than was normally deemed appropriate if comfortable for most, to the 1st floor ā€“ headed towards the morgue, where the nurse Janet directed him to the small waiting room across from the desk. As he approached the close and shuttered door, he deemed through scent as well as hearing that the sheriff had yet to make it back up from her look in the morgue before the other young woman had arrived; he opened it, gently cautious as he moved into the room, glanced down and made his way over to sit down across from the woman he assumed to be ā€˜Brooklyn Simmonsā€™ just looking up from her phone after apparently sending a text.

ā€œHello Ms. Simmons, I presume,ā€ He began, a small, sad smile gracing his lips, but no less friendly and gentle for it. ā€œI am Dr. Nathaniel J.A. Searus, however please, call me William.ā€ Nathaniel paused, offering a firm hand to shake. ā€œIā€™m here to answer the questions I can for you in this difficult time, but I do believe it would be best to wait a moment longer for Sheriff Dawson, Shane, to arrive as well.ā€

{ Location: His Home, Town Streets || Interacting With: Meredith, Willow; Pack 2 Members (NPCs) || Mentioned: N/A || #A65200 }

Markus inclined his head in wordless agreement to Willowā€™s plan, as she rose and made her way outside to make sure all the other wolves were ready. He slowly rose too, throwing his own trash away, before glancing over his shoulder in a passing glance to Meredith, his general exasperation with the world softening momentarily enough to let a small smile ease unto his maw, ā€œTry to stay out of anymore trouble, sister.ā€ He snorted shortly, leaving with a pointed look, before joining Willow and the others outside. ā€œAlright darlingsā€¦ Letā€™s go prowl.ā€ He offered his right arm for her to slide her left arm under and rest her hand on his forearm, initiating movement forward, guiding them both out of yard and down the street ā€“ even as around them people shifted, and wolves snarled and buffed to one another as they turned in graceful lopes towards the woods and out of sight but on the tree-line.

It was all at once, harder and easier, being a pure wolf ā€“ than a half-bred mutt, or one that had gaps in their generations ā€“ on nights the full moon reigned high. Yes, the change came readily at the force of the moon or whenever the wolf wanted it, and wild-willful emotions could be held and remain in check with age and training. But the change was rather violent and strong, and emotions heightened abnormally to be unsteady regardless how much one fought against it. It was a constant battle between wolf and man (or woman), with an uphill advantage or challenge of always being a little more wolf than human...

Markusā€™ eyes originally were a dark, rich brown, most days, but tonight seemed a far lighter, honeyed impersonation of brown, of his wolfish nature lurking under the surface waiting (obviously impatiently, as far as eye colors went), as the pair of them made their way around the townā€™s dark streets and crooked alley ways. And a growl jumped forward to rumble his chest, before he could stifle it immediately after the disgustingly fresh scent of a bloodsucker (or two) that had passed by once and had since doubled-over their path again (a tactic more and more used to confuse those who happened to track by scent) hit his nostrils. He glanced down to Willow, with an almost hungry look in his eyes, as he spoke softly, ā€œShould we send the pack a little more forward then us, to see if they can catch an origin or heading better in the scent(s)?ā€ They already looked the part of being outnumbered on the city-streets, but there was no need to be stupid about dashing after one (or a couple) vampires immediately. Any information the pack could provide from the outside, was better than nothing at all.

{ Location: Town, Diner || Interacting With: Vivian Greenwood, Brooklyn Simmons || Mentioned: Sienna De Lucchi || #929292 }

ā€œNot as good as Iā€™d hoped. Canā€™t seem to understand itā€¦ Itā€™s also not that easy to explain to someone else.ā€ ā€œAhh,ā€ Charles immediately mused in response, pausing as he reached forward to idly take the book sheā€™d just placed down up in hand ā€“ pursuing the information on the back with apparently curious interest. Once he had finished, he spoke up again, with a shrug and ā€˜smugā€™ grin sliding into place on his maw, ā€œWell, if you ever need somebody to come and eat your food, Iā€™m there.ā€ He offered, genuinely. He was not particularly keen in getting himself (or the rest of his witchy-family) caught up in the mess the warring of three supernatural species would bring to Cherry Blossom, if something big was coming into town like Vivian odd-feelings had been worried about. He did not care for Vampires or even Werewolves much; but he did not want anyone close to him, or even himself in fact, to die in a ā€˜pointless warā€™ that their ancestorā€™s dead bones started so long ago, to be honest. He would try to be there, for as long as his morals would allow forā€¦

Vivianā€™s phone beeped suddenly, leaving the conversation at a stand-still momentarily as she went to look at and answer the message; and Charlieā€™s chocolate shake finally arrived, scooted by a passing waitressā€™ hand. ā€œThank you.ā€ He rubbed the back of his knuckleā€™s gently against the glass, controlling his magic to bring unseen warmth to his fingers ā€“ enough to warm the beverage enough so that one could actually drink it with the red-and-white swirled draw provided, without having to wait for it to melt naturally anyway. He took an appreciative sip when finished, as his own phone buzzed a text alert as Vivianā€™s beeped again.

ā€œArenā€™t we popular tonight?ā€ Charlie snorted, as he slipped his own out of his pocket to glance at the message. ā€œGuys, somethings up, Sienna reached out to meā€¦ I donā€™t think sheā€™s okay, have you seen her?ā€
He managed not to scowl externally, but internally he was more than a little disgruntled. Brooklyn, his best friend since heā€™d moved into town years ago and fellow-Witch in the coven, had been off-the-map for days without a word ā€“ when theyā€™d always had a text message(s) going, whether or not they physically saw one another that day or not. It had been odd enough situation, but now with the text out of the blue ā€“ asking about another one of their coven, Sienna, who as far as he knew was an avid partier and drinker (likely at another party or club or bar; or already holed up in her apartment, or random hotel room with human-friends, trying to sleep off what would be an epic hangover he was certain), location and how she was doing. He almost wanted to text back a quite simple ā€˜how are you firstā€™, before answering about the other girl, but he didnā€™t, for nowā€¦ Charles fingers danced gingerly across the keyboard, making the message seem as proper as he could (without being snippy about it), as he made his offer. Witches were paranoid on the best of days, but it would not do to start freaking out ā€“ especially if something hadnā€™t been proven to be wrong or abnormal yet. He glanced back up to Vivian, asking her thoughts on the matter without a physical word,, as he clicked the send button.

No, havenā€™t heard from her or seen her since yesterday.
Probably out partying again, I suspectā€¦ Iā€™ll swing by her apartment later tonight before heading home.

Lilliy saw he'd pulled something out of his pocket as he explained, "I stopped by Serena's house not too long ago. I was going to talk to her about..." He paused then added, "Nevermind, that's not important. I went to her house and found this." while handing her the paper he pulled out of his pocket. She took the note and looked at him skeptical but opened the note anyway.

Dear Lily,
I know that this isn't going to mean much but I'm really sorry. I truly wish that I didn't have to leave but it's the only way to keep everyone safe. I don't know how long I'll be gone but I know you'll be in good hands with Roman as your Beta. Please don't be mad, I can't tell you where I'm going or why I'm leaving but I hope I can come back soon. I know you'll want to but please don't come after me, I don't want you getting caught up in this. Lastly, I know you're about to start pacing so sit the fuck down.
With Love, Serena

She read it through then read it again as if she didn't understand it the first time. How was this possible? They had just crossed paths, why would she leave like this? She looked up from the note "What the hell is this, Roman? Is this for real? This isn't some type of joke or something?" She asked. The writing did look like Serena's and the tone of the message sounded like something Serena would say butt she couldn't believe this was from her Beta. She didn't show any signs of anger due to the fact that she had just seen Serena and didn't believe Serena, of all people, would leave town with only a note with no explanation whatsoever.

She watched as he took the book from the table and read the information on the back. It wasn't a witch type book, that would look weird but he seemed interested in it. He put the book back where he picked it up from ā€œWell, if you ever need somebody to come and eat your food, Iā€™m there.ā€ She nodded. She knew he wasn't the type to get in the middle of werewolf and vampire business but if he ever offered to help she knew it was genuine. Just as she was going to thank him her phone buzzed. She sighed and looked at it, Gerald. She smiled and opened the text Hey, I got a book from the library for you. I can give it to you whenever. She smiled and moved her fingers over the keyboard
To Gerald:
Thanks :) I'm at the diner with a friend. I can meet up with you after?

She put the phone back on the table but there was another buzz from her phone and Charles as well. ā€œArenā€™t we popular tonight?ā€ She paid no attention to his comment but she did find it odd that Gerald had responded so quickly. She looked at the phone and saw it was Brooklyn instead. She opened up the message Guys, somethings up, Sienna reached out to meā€¦ I donā€™t think sheā€™s okay, have you seen her?ā€
To Brooklyn:
I haven't seen her..or heard from her. How did she reach out?

Everyone in the coven knew Sienna was a channeler, she sometimes used her ability to help Vivian. Vivian didn't know the extent of her ability since Sienna didn't use it much. Vivian looked up at Charles and made eye contact. Her eyes showing strong concern but she said nothing. She was sure he had gotten the text as well from the look on his face. Sienna was known to stay away from magic, much like Charles, but she was a partier. That always worried Vivian to begin with but if Sienna reached out to someone maybe something was really going on.

Blood from a witch was a rare thing to come by and it didn't taste anything like humans. Julia whipped her mouth to rid it of blood. "Yes, quite easy," the girl paused "But if karma has anything to do with in, we'll be in deep trouble soon as well." Julia rolled her eyes, she didn't believe in Karma. Of course she knew things happened for a reason but she never believed that there was some force out there paying people back for the bad they've done. Karma was created by the people of the world. People are paid back for the bad they do because the people they've done wrong had something to do with it.

She held the girl up with ease, she hadn't though further than knocking the girl out which was good that she had Elizabeth with her. Julia was impulsive it was probably the only reason why Arthur asked Elizabeth to accompany her on this 'mission'. Julia watched as the younger vampire adjusted the witch so that it looked as if she was too drunk to walk on her own. Julia smiled and moved to the other side of the witch to help with the illusion. "This should keep us from looking suspicious, but I'd prefer we move quickly. I don't want to have my energy too low with the full moon lurking,"

"Arthur is most likely at your place, since he has a key. I wonder why he wanted her alive? If it was this easy to find her how hard can it be to find the rest of them and just kill them off one by one?"

Shane made her way the morgue. It was upsetting that she could find her way there without a single glance up from her stack of papers. She bumped her hip into the swinging doors allowing the pungent smell of death and formaldehyde sting her nose. She grimaced looking down at her half finished cup of coffee, whatever craving she had for it gone as she tossed it into the trash can. The sheriff let out a soft sigh as she saw the white cover that blocked her view from the dead corpse.

Too many have died recently in this town. She felt so hopeless against it all. What could she do? Shane knew there were things... Things not natural in this town that were doing this. They killed her father and now she felt like she was all the town had to stop it. But what could one person do against something far bigger than herself? Everyone in the town thought she was crazy, if she went around shouting out her ideas about what was the real cause of all the deaths she'd be fired, or burnt at the stake.

The sheriff set the clipboard down on a near by counter, removing her jacket and setting it beside it. She then sighed as she brushed her hair behind her ears before moving over towards the table. Shane always hated this, almost as much as she hated confronting the family about their loss. After another deep breath, she pulled back the cover to reveal the male's face which caused her to frown slightly. Her gaze then fell to the bite marks on the neck. Vampire... No doubt about it. Just as she was about to grab a rubber glove, her walkie talkie buzzed letting her know that Ms. Simmons was here.

As Shane arrived back at the waiting room, she paused in the hallway momentarily taking a deep breath. She then tried to put on her brave face before joining Nathaniel and Brooklyn. "Hi Brooklyn." She said softly before moving to take a seat next to the girl. Shane knew she could sit there and ask how the girl was doing, talk about whatever small talk she could since she last saw her. But she knew the girl wasn't here to catch up with the Sheriff. No one ever came to see her just to say hi, only when there was a problem. Sheriffs never really have friends... At least she didn't.

Her hand reached out to bring the girl's into her palms, her thumbs stroking the back of her dark skin gently. "...I'm not really sure how to say this." Shane looked up to meet the girl's gaze. She knew the girl wasn't going to take it well and didn't know if she'd want to identify the body although the Sheriff was certain of who it was... It was still formality.

Willow came to a halt upon the porch, removing her sunglasses that rested on top of her head, and put them on. Although it was nearly night time she often did this so her gaze could linger where ever while her head faced forward. Markus appeared beside her, offering her his right arm. Will smiled towards him slightly as her left hand snaked its way up in the gap between his arm and waist, resting her palm on his forearm. She let him guide her through the yard and out to the street.

To most in Cherry Blossom they probably thought her and Markus were an item with how often they were seen together, often physically connected in someway. Will saw him like a brother and more often than not he was her closest friend. She often liked walking arm and arm with him because it allowed her to get his attention and converse in ways inaudible and unnoticeable to others. It also set an a bit of dominance and made her look powerful without trying. Although that was never her intention. Willow always carried her self with the highest confidence which made a lot of people intimidated by her.

The snarls and growls of the wolves behind them shifting and disappearing behind them made Willow smile but also glance towards them with slight longing. The wolf inside her wanted nothing more than to break free, feel the wind in her fur and be free. But she needed to try to keep her head on straight. It was difficult during a full moon, even for elder wolves like herself. There was always the urge to let loose. She stopped midstep, grasping at Markus' arm as she took a deep breath. Will didn't know if the urge was stronger for Alphas. But the full moon always called to her.

The rumble that came from Markus nearly caused a subconscious one of her own to roll up her throat. She rotated her head around causing her neck to pop while she let the scent envelope her nostrils. It was almost euphoric. Her canine blood racing through her veins clawing to break free and chance the scent. She swallowed hard, closing her eyes momentarily.

ā€œShould we send the pack a little more forward then us, to see if they can catch an origin or heading better in the scent(s)?ā€ Markus asked causing her to reopen her eyes and shake the wolf out of her momentarily.

Will nodded her head. She then moved before Markus, wrapping her arms around him in an embrace. No doubt something that borderline was PDA to some. Not to her or him. Her left hand moved up to cup the back of his head while she leaned in to whisper in his ear. But she didn't speak towards him. She knew her pack that was just beyond the tree line would hear her and she didn't want to look suspicious if any vampires happened to be watching. "Go ahead, see if you can find the origin. We'll continue along the streets. Keep your ears open for anything."

With that Willow gave a fake flirtatious giggle, kissing him on the cheek before moving to stand beside him once again and taking his arm. This time she let her body language seem like her attention was focused on Markus. A seductive grin caressed her lips while her whole body seemed to cling to the side of his, an occasional laugh escaping her lips every moment or two. But the words she spoke contradicted her actions. She was smart and looking vulnerable made them seem like easy targets, especially being two wolves.

"I don't know how stupid the corpses are. We may seem vulnerable enough for them to try and attack two lone wolves too preoccupied in each other to care about their surroundings." She let out another giggle, her hand free hand moving to the bend in his arm. "Does your wolf feel extra... edgy this moon?" will felt like at certain moments she was fighting to burst at the seems but she didn't let that show. Her face a perfect facade of a flirtatious woman while her sunglasses hid her searching gaze.

Julie smiled at the thought of killing the witch. She hoped Arthur did decide that and let her be the one to do it. She's had a strong distaste for witches for centuries and she hadn't had the joy of ruining ones life in a long time. "Of course, Arthur will want information out of her. It just depends on what mood he's in. My compulsion would be the easy way...if he's in a good mood. However, if he's not he may go the hard way whatever that may be." If he was in a bad mood he wouldn't take shit from anyone, even Julie wouldn't cross him in that state. She'd been around long enough to know when to push the boundaries and when not to.

She could tell the younger vampire had no understanding of witches, which most vampires don't but when you've been hunting them you pick up a few things. "It depends on if she's that kind of witch. Witches have specific abilities like we do, kind of."

There was silence between the two. Both waiting for the same thing, a response from Brooklyn which had yet to come. It was nerve racking especially for Vivian since she worried about the coven more than anyone, in her opinion. She was a worrier, she couldn't help it. She watched Charles pull out enough money to pay for both of their orders and leave a tip. She was going to protest but he spoke before she got a chance.
ā€œIā€™m going to head out and swing by her apartment before it getsā€™ too much later,
She nodded, to be honest she should have been heading home as well but she knew of a few parties Sienna might be. ā€œIā€™ll text you if I find out anything, and again, when I get home. Alright?ā€ Vivian gave him a quick smile and nodded "Okay, I'm going to check out some parties on my way home.

Her phone buzzed again and she picked it up but it wasn't who she thought it was. She shook her head to let Charles know it wasn't Brooklyn but Gerald.
To Gerald:
Sorry, something came up. We can meet tomorrow at the diner?

She hated doing that to him but it was better to keep him out of this for his safety and the covens.

He growled. He growled at her and she saw his eyes getting more wolf like. It didn't take long for him to calm back down, thankfully for him. "No, this is not some fucking joke, Lil. I have no idea where Serena is! She could be a mile away or she could be fifty miles away! I don't know," Her eyebrows knitted together waiting for him to finish. "I just went over to her house and found this note. I looked for her for like twenty minutes and then I came to find you. And now you're here accusing me of making this up as some sort of sick joke." She really wasn't liking his tone but she knew it was the full moon plus he really did seem concerned even though he didn't much like Serena.

"Sorry, I just don't know where the hell she is or why the hell you're so damn calm right now. It's a miracle you aren't pacing right now." Lilly scoffed and gave him a small smile "Roman I literally just saw her not but five minutes ago. She's in the body shop talking to Levi, She motioned towards the car shop behind them. She wasn't sure when it actually hit her or what made her put two and two together but it clicked. She looked down at the note again and reread it then looked back at the shop. She wanted her to leave so she could be alone with Levi, right? "Fuck!" She threw the note towards Roman and ran towards Levi's shop and peaked through the window. She wasn't inside and neither was Levi. The door was locked and it wouldn't be a good idea to break it down.

Then she heard the snarls. She turned, it sounded like Serena but what she saw was not what she expected. Some ways down the street was Markus and Willow getting a little too close for her liking. Markus was returning her flirting outwardly, he wasn't like that. In the back of her mind something was telling her it was an act but her wolf wasn't liking it none the less.

From Charlie
{No, havenā€™t heard from her or seen her since yesterday.Ā
Probably out partying again, I suspectā€¦ Iā€™ll swing by her apartment later tonight before heading home.}
Brooklyn frowned at that. She couldn't be mad at him, she really had no place, she hadn't spoken to him in far too long, and honestly, she didn't want this to be the thing that got her talking but honestly, she didn't know how to deal with this.

From Vivian
{I haven't seen her..or heard from her. How did she reach out?}

Brooklyn sighed and sent a quick text back.

{She's in my head....Something is very, very wrong.}

She sighed and looked up as young man approached up. ā€œHello Ms. Simmons, I presume,ā€Ā  He said and she saw his expression. ā€œI am Dr. Nathaniel J.A. Searus, however please, call me William."' He offered his hand and Brooklyn stood and shook it before sitting back down. Her heart was heavy though, knowing what was going to be said next. Or so she thought.Ā ā€œIā€™m here to answer the questions I can for you in this difficult time, but I do believe it would be best to wait a moment longer for Sheriff Dawson, Shane, to arrive as well.ā€Ā  He told her and she swallowed. "Um, thanks." She said with a sigh. She didn't want to prolong this, and with Sennia reaching out like this, things were only going to get worse.

After a moment of awkward silence, the Sherriff arrived, looking right at her. "Hi Brooklyn," she said friendly and Brooklyn only managed a tight smile in response.

"I'm really not sure how to say this..." That was enough. She closed her eyes and swallowed back tears. "I need to see hi-his body...." She said but it was more of a question, as she breathed out hollowly as she looked at them. "Can I? See him?" She asked, as tears began to fall.

Brooklyn was understandably broken, Nathaniel could have easily deduced from a distant look. Let alone additionally from the clammy, limp hand-shake she offered to his own firm one, the tenseness her shoulders held, and the smell of salty tears that had threaten to fall earlier with more soon to replace them. Even her tired sighing of, ā€œUm, thanks,ā€ echoed his deduction. They did say you could know someone best by the enemies they made along the way: How they defied beings that should have cowed them into silence; resisted forces that were inevitable for no more reason than the belief that they should be resisted; not bowing their head to neither demons nor angels; and putting themselves into harmā€™s way to defend those who could not defend themselves. But, Nathaniel figured that was only a portion of a true measure of a person (or supernatural entity) ā€“ because life was pain, and suffering, so how one became broken and tried to glue the pieces together (if they even tried to do so) was a far better measure of such an immeasurable thing.

It wasnā€™t long of a silence between the pair of them, before the Sheriff arrived, coming up to sit beside Brooklyn ā€“ Shane started out holding unto Brooklynā€™s hand, stroking it gently in reassurances before speaking softly. First a friendly hello that only managed to draw out a thin smile from the girl, and then the ā€˜killer statementā€™ of ā€œā€¦ Iā€™m really not sure how to say thisā€¦ā€ brought on the beginning of the waterworks ā€“ and needing, then asking if she could see her brotherā€™s body. Finally, Nathaniel had a window to rejoin the conversation, after having remained a politely silent, if stoic presence for the mean time while he let Shane (who likely knew far more about the girl after living in this town, versus the ā€˜new doctorā€™) take the lead. ā€œOf course,ā€ Nathaniel mused softly, a gentle but sad smile lurking beneath his words, never quite surfacing to his thin-lined lips for the moment. ā€œLet me go ahead, and Sheriff Dawson will bring you backā€¦ā€ He finished as he rose, offering Shane a slow nod in return. It was only proper for him to go ahead, pulling up the proper paperwork (though Janet, wonderful Janet would likely have it ready at the edge of the nurse station the minute he walked out the door), and making sure the morgue was presentable ā€“ though as far as he knew, Jonathan the mortician, was not a messy individual for the most part ā€“ and the deceased patient ready before anyone came back. Before moving to the door, and on his wayā€¦

---

Hospitals in general were cold, sterile environments for the most part, to control and contain the spread of disease as well as simply ā€œfreeze outā€ others, but Morgueā€™s were the worst place to be he had been told ā€“ and perhaps heā€™d agree that it was particularly chilly if he could feel the temperature that is. The dull, blue-tinted lights did not help the chill much, nor the lifeless stainless steel everywhere, but Nathaniel made the room as ā€œwelcomingā€ as anyone could manage: The Sheriffā€™s clipboard, post-it-notes, and jacket had been safely stowed out of sight in the attached office. The late Donny Simmons white cover-sheet was back in place and a couple small round skin-tinted bandages now covered the remnants of the holes teeth-marks had left from his ā€˜attackā€™ (smelling of a Vampire from his new coven that Arthur, Elisabeth, or Kat, hadnā€™t introduced him too) that the mortician had left for the Sheriff to observe (but there was no need to additionally upset the girl for her to see part of what had ā€˜done her brother inā€™). And the paperwork Janet had provided, including release forms from what the Sherriff would require as a proper agreement that the identification was correct and the hospitalā€™s agreement of what / where / etc the body would go through to be properly rested.

& Nathaniel waited for Shane and Brooklyn's eventual arrival...

ā€œOkay, Iā€™m going to check out some parties on my way home.ā€ At Vivianā€™s comment, Charles eyebrows unintendedly raised ā€“ not only in disbelief, but genuine surprise. She was not one for parties in mind or spirit as long as heā€™d known her (not that he was much one either to be frank, but heā€™d probably fit in better and would not stick out like a sore-thumb); and it would be a step, a certainly stressful step, to attend a party (or more) looking for someone you might not even find there. Well, he had to hand it to her at the very leastā€¦ ā€œBe safe,ā€ Charlie spoke softly, his words echoing an unspoken good luck. As he rose from the table with a farewell, cheeky grin, before going out onto the streets.

There was still a fair amount of hustle and bustle in the early hours of the night, but everyone was moving fast and heading to zones of safety as quickly as possible ā€“ aided by the spook the atmosphere of the Full Moon brought upon the town already ripe with weird happenings, and helped along by the distant yip and snarls of ā€œdogsā€ bouncing about the alleyā€™s and city streets. Charles made his way up into Siennaā€™s apartment swiftly, and with a flick of his hand unaided by a key, unlocked the door with a simple breeze to the dark and empty living room. He fumbled briefly with the lights, before locking the door behind him tight, and went to work ā€“ looking around to find something about Siennaā€™s whereaboutsā€¦

From Booklyn:
She's in my head....Something is very, very wrong.

Vivian read the text quickly before giving Charles a nod. Something was wrong, Sienna didn't associate much with the rest of the witches and if she did it was a last resort but why? She glanced at her half eaten sandwich and found that she'd lost her appetite. She began looking through her purse to pay for her meal but caught sight of the $30 Charles had left. She sighed and put away her wallet. She called friendly goodbyes to the staff and made her way out into the street. Tonight was not the night to stay out late and alone. More than most nights tonight people had to be even more careful, the full moon made the werewolves even crazier which made vampires more on edge. The full moon, thankfully, didn't effect witches at all.

Parties weren't Vivian's thing. Everyone that knew her would be surprised that she was even there. It was crowded and loud. It wasn't hard to find a party, follow the loud music but it was hard to find someone in a house full of drunk people. She squeezed through people on the dance floor. They didn't seem to pay her any mind when she asked if they had seen her witch friend. Honestly they probably didn't even know who she was talking about or they were too drunk to even understand what she was saying.
***

She went to three different parties and no sign of Sienna at any of them. She decided to call it a night figuring she might have better luck finding her in the morning. Never again, Viv. Next time let Charles volunteer to search parties. She scowled at herself. It was horrible, she'd seen a few people throw up and one was so close to puking on her but she diverted the poor girl into a trash can. She would never understand humans love of alcohol especially if it had that effect on them. She took out her phone as soon as she stepped into the dark night to give Charles an update.

To Charles"
Calling it a night, might have better luck in the morning.
