Name:
Elisabeth Renee Hill

Age:
She appears to be 19, but she is actually 67.

Sexuality:
Heterosexual

Mate:
None, though she is willing to look.

Occupation:
Barista at a coffee shop

Species:
Vampire

Rank:
Scouter

Ability:
Elisabeth has the ability of telekinesis. She is able to move objects with her mind. However, each time she moves an object she uses some of her energy. The larger the object, the more energy she expends. Because of this, she prefers to use her abilities only on small objects. She will only move a large object such as a bus if she has to because it will sap her energy.

Appearance:
Elisabeth stands at 5'3" and weighs about 118 lbs. She has pale skin, brown eyes, and long, dark hair. Her hair is naturally wavy, though she will straighten or curl it. There is a scar on the nape of her neck, which she hides with her hair. It is from when she was bitten.

Elisabeth likes to look nice, so she will usually wear something cute. Whether it's a skirt and floral top, a flowy high-low Boho dress, or printed jeans and a graphic top, she aims to look good. Her closet is quite extensive and you will never see her in sweatpants. She prefers flat shoes to heels, but will wear heels if she needs to dress formally.

Personality:
Elisabeth has always been an old soul. Even as a young girl she was more mature and wiser than her peers. She seems to be filled with words of wisdom and quotes, which she is happy to share with others. She is a calm, reserved, and resourceful girl, used to solving problems after being alive for nearly seven decades. When solving a problem she will always use her head before her heart. Though she usually acts maturely, a childish part of her comes out every now and then. This is often seen when she sees bubbles or balloons- two things she loved as a child. If she sees either, her usual response will be to run towards them while freaking out.

History:
Elisabeth Renee Hill was born in Southern California in the late 40's. She was the second of four children born to John and Maria Hill. Her father was an English immigrant and her mother had been born in the United States after her parents had immigrated from Germany. Her older sister, Victoria, was two years her senior. Her brother John Jr. was a year younger than her and her brother Jack was two years younger.

She grew up in a small coastal town and lived a normal life. She spent her childhood years sipping Root Beer floats and playing in the sand. She enjoyed her siblings' company, building sand castles with them and playing all sorts of imaginative games. Though having three siblings could turn nasty, they all loved each other and their parents. Her childhood was a happy time, one that wasn't filled with the ever consuming desire to be on an electronic device. In fact, Elisabeth can remember looking at the blurry TV which showed her the first man on the moon.

Her teenage years were less peaceful due to worldwide events (both good and bad) and the general drama created by teenagers. Elisabeth managed to navigate through it, not becoming a "Flower Child" but also not hardening due to the nature of things around her. She also found a few young men who were very interested in her, choosing to date one named Adam.

Against her parent's consent, Elisabeth went camping with some friends and Adam in Yosemite National Park. The group was jointly celebrating three people's birthdays from their party. Elisabeth was one of them. The camping trip took place a few weeks prior to her 20th birthday. The group had a fun time, drinking and laughing together around a fire. The first two nights went well. The third night was when life as she knew it changed.

Elisabeth, somewhat drunk, stumbled into the woods after most of the others had fallen asleep. She continued for a few hundred feet until someone tackled her from behind. With the wind knocked out of her she struggled to breathe and couldn't scream for help. She felt teeth dig into the back of her neck and a hand cover her mouth. A vampire had attacked her.

The vampire had not intended to let her live, but he changed his mind when she soon stopped struggling against him. She knew that death was upon her and that it happened to all living things. There was no avoiding it. She closed her eyes and waited for herself to slip away. Her attacker, a telepathic vampire, realized that she wasn't just a careless teenager. She did not fear death as many did, but instead embraced it. She succumbed to a dream like state which lasted for three days. During this time, the vampire who had attacked her took her across the country to join his coven.

She awoke somewhere on the East Coast, confused. Hadn't she died? Yes, a part of her had. But she was still alive. Confused and obviously having no experience hunting or feeding on humans, Elisabeth remained with the coven. After about five years of being a vampire, she began to display telekinetic abilities. She has since become very comfortable with them.

Most of her coven was eventually killed. She and her protector joined the coven in Cherry Blossom almost 3 years ago. She was assigned to be a scouter by the coven, meaning she looks for threats and prey. Due to the recent events, she also acts as a spy since she frequently is inside of the town.

However, she is still new to the battle between werewolves and vampires since she spent most of her life without this conflict. As a result, she harbors few bad feelings towards werewolves. She actually thinks it's unfortunate that they are feuding and feels bad for them. After the head of her former coven died, there were a few days of fighting between the higher ranking vampires. The situation resolved itself without much bloodshed or dividing the coven.

She does not harbour much bad blood for witches either, though she's only ever encountered one.

Other:
Elisabeth lives in an old house outside of town. It is in a dense grove of trees, as the house has been abandoned. Unbeknownst to her, it the house which Roman Kingsley grew up in.

{Feel free to make her protector and PM me so we can work out details. If he isn't made he will be an NPC}

Julie was starving, she hadn't fed in days thanks to the werewolves recently prowling the town. She was getting sick of hiding from them and depriving herself of food so she decided to go out. From what she knew there was a party that night at some house, perfect place for a meal. She put on a tight red dress that showed off plenty of leg and cleavage with her red pumps. Red lipstick and a brush through her hair and she was ready to go. Walking down the sidewalk alone in the dark wasn't a big deal to her but it was an unwritten rule of the town not to. Of course Julie could handle herself so she really didn't have to worry about anything happening unless a werewolf decided to show up.

The party wasn't too far from her apartment but it was slightly chilly making her wish she had a car or a ride. Unfortunately she could afford one, not that she really needed one but using her speed isn't a good thing in this town you never know who's watching especially at night.

Finally she arrived at the party, tons of people to choose from. Julie smiled as she walked in the door. She took a drink from the table and gulped it down before grabbing a second cup. After the second drink she wasted no time getting on the dance floor.

Lillian had called for a meeting earlier that day, she was early. She had planned for the pack to go out scouting for vamps as they did most nights. She liked the idea of them not being able to hunt every night and being forced to go days without feeding. It meant they were actually afraid of them. She paced around the table that sat in the middle of the meeting room in their pack house. The pack house was located in the woods, away from town to keep away from the humans. If humans did find it it was usually assumed that it was a normal cabin.

She went through plans for the hunt in her head but she needed the opinions of her pack mostly her Beta, Serena. Serena was the one who kept Lilly's head on straight, she made sure Lilly didn't act just out of anger especially when it came to the other pack or anyone questioning her role as Alpha.

Being a female Alpha wasn't easy, everyone questioned your leadership and your ability as an Alpha even your own pack members. Lilly could usually handle it if it was another Alpha but her own pack members usually set her off. She remembered a time when all she wanted was to be a tracker, she had the skill but when the two packs were whole she was, and still is, considered a runt. There was no way their Alpha would have allowed a runt to be a tracker, too much of a risk. She didn't understand it until later but she was always angry that she was never acknowledged for her skills until she was considered for Alpha.

Vivian had nothing to do tonight, she'd already done some practicing and parties weren't her thing. She made herself some tea as she tried to think of something to do. She curled up on her couch and thought [i]Maybe just a book[i] she thought and got up to search for one she hadn't already read in her house. Finally she settled with her mothers spell book she's read it multiple times but it always made her feel closer to her mother.

She didn't know her mother was a witch until after she'd died, she was sure her mother would have told her and her sisters when they got older but she died when Vivian was very young. Her sisters found out about their mother and lied to her about it when she finally found out. She left after that, she couldn't see herself forgiving them for hiding such a thing.

Elizabeth put the last of the plates away. There were a variety of shapes, sizes, and colours, but she always managed to have them fit nicely inside of their cupboard. She stood, closing the doors and looking around. The cafe where she worked at was empty and had been for at least half an hour. Only a few late nighters had come in, making her job of cleaning and closing the cafe much easier. She let out a yawn, despite the fact that she had no need to sleep. It had become a habit for her to yawn in order to appear more human.

Running her fingers through her dark brown hair, she let out a sigh. It had been a couple of days since she had last fed. The two packs had made it a point of trying to let the vampires (and each other) know who was in charge of the town. Elizabeth had thought that the pack splitting would make feeding easier-- after all she was now able to have a job in town instead of just wandering around-- but it hadn't. She wasn't starving, but she could feel the urge to feed in the back of her head like a nagging thought that popped up when you least wanted it. In a few more days she would need to feed. How she would go about doing this would have to be planned out. Perhaps she could scout someone or find someone Julia was tracking. If she really needed help finding and securing a meal, she knew she could turn to Arthur or to the one who had turned her. However, her protector rarely set foot in the town, preferring to feed off of people who wandered into the woods.

Elizabeth walked to the front of the cafe, looking outside at the street. She wondered what the werewolf situation was like tonight and what the rest of her coven was doing. Arthur could be doing any number of things at the moment. Rin was probably working given her occupations. Julia might be working as well. Perhaps she could text them and ask if they had seen any wolves out. She pulled out her phone and sent a group text to the three. Anybody see any werewolves yet? She hoped that there weren't any wolves out, as she wanted to go scouting or maybe even feed. She continued to gaze out the window as she waited for a response.

Gerald stepped outside into the cool air. The movie he'd been watching had just finished. He probably should have headed home, but he really had no intention to. He was still wide awake and ready to do something after sitting for a couple of hours. He turned and began to walk down the street, heading wherever the wind decided to take him tonight.

He was aware of the unspoken rule of Cherry Blossom: don't walk alone at night. Yet, he never seemed to pay much attention to it. He thought he was capable of defending himself should anyone decide to attack him. He also found it inconvenient to always walk with a buddy. Sure, there were people who were missing or turned up dead around town, but nothing had ever happened to him when he walked at night. Perhaps he was lucky. Others might say he was ignorant or stupid.

The young man stopped on a corner underneath a streetlight and pulled out his phone. Chances were that Vivian was still awake. Maybe she wouldn't mind if he came over or if they went out somewhere. Hey, so I'm guessing you're awake. I'm out walking around. Want to do something? he typed. He looked at his message and decided to edit it, omitting the part about him being out. He didn't want her to worry about him being out alone. Hey, so I'm guessing you're awake. Want to do something? Gerald hit send and then continued walking.

Location: The Woods Outside of Cherry
Blossom/The Pack House (Lillian's Pack)
Interacting With: Lillian Smith
Mentioned: Serena Roberge and Levi Winters

Roman normally enjoyed walking through the woods. Tonight, however, he did not. Too busy thinking, he had fallen into the creek. He hadn't realized how close he was to the bank of it until he had slid down the slope and into the water. He was now wet from the waist down, making him uncomfortable and irritated. Why couldn't that have happened to one of the bloodsuckers or to Serena? Really, anyone but him would have sufficed.

After rising from the creek, he had continued on his way and now found himself only a minute or so from the pack house. As he walked, careful not to make too much noise or to fall again, he wondered if Lillian was already there. Something told him that she was. He also suspected that Serena and Levi had not yet arrived, but were somewhere in the woods walking to the cabin.

Roman could now see the cabin, lights in the windows. So the Alpha was there as he had guessed. He sighed, cracked his knuckles and neck, and proceeded towards the cabin. Not bothering to knock, he entered it. Breathing in deeply and letting out a sigh, he looked down at his wet clothes. Would any of the other pack members be bothered if he attended this meeting in just his boxers? It was a bit chilly and uncomfortable in the wet clothes and he wanted to remove them. Not seeing Lillian in the immediate vicinity, he removed his shoes, socks, and pants. He decided to leave his shirt on for now. Picking up his pants, Roman proceeded to step further into the cabin.

Maybe he had an extra pair of pants here. He sure hoped he did at least. "Lillian!" he called out. "I'm going to warn you now that I don't have pants on!" He doubted his good friend would care much right now-- after all there were filthy bloodsuckers and the other pack to worry about-- but he decided to give her a fair warning just in case she ran into him while he looked for a pair of pants and a towel.

{ Location: Town / Hotel || Interacting With: Elisabeth Hill (Observing Briefly) || Mentioned: Arthur Madden }

Humans... You can tell them that they can do anything, and yet, they won't know what to do. But tell them what they can't do, and you'll know what they want to do (and probably end up trying to do anyway - Yoda advice ignored well). Somehow though at the end of the day, through all the mess and trails of humanity, most tended to remain decent human beings. He'd be damned if he knew how. But then, he'd be damned regardless. He was a monster after-all. "Hey! Deep thoughts much?" Nathaniel halted his forward momentum; blinking in mock surprise as he hauled himself out of the inner winding thought process that his mind often went to after nearly two centuries of 'unlife'; and offered his current company a genuinely sheepish grin. "My apologies," He hummed lightly, apologetic. Pausing as he observed the woman, a young and mousy thing, with an air of renewed interest. Her name was Carrie if he remembered correctly, and was a nurse at the hospital where he now worked; and had offered to show him, a stranger (and rather dangerous one at times), around the lovely, quaint town of Cherry Blossom - at night, with the unspoken rules of not doing such alone or with the company of someone you barely knew probably.

Ahh, humanity...

"It's just been a long day, Carrie 'dear. I do tend to get in my head, and let autopilot run when exhausted." Well it was not entirely true, as a vampire, a well-fed and uninjured one, wouldn't ever truly be exhausted; but for the sake of role-playing a new junior medical staff that had been jumped from interview right into a full strenuous day, exhaustion would be perfectly understandable of the human condition. Carrie nodded in agreement, before responding in return with a chuckle on her lips, "Oh! Well, good then, for a minute I figured you thought my tour abilities were lackluster." "Never, never." "Hah, smooth, thanks... Well, I guess you probably need (and want) to get back to the hotel then to sleep off today?" "That'd probably be best. Ahh... Two blocks north from here to the bike, and then a right turn on main - head down towards the edge of town, and I'll see the neon sign?" "Wow, yes, spot on memory... I'll see you around the hospital then? Though, I'm not taking every night shift like you are, because you've got to be crazy or desperate to do that to yourself." "One in the same, certainty, G'night." "Good night, and be careful!"

And with that final statement, Carrie gave him a small wave farewell, before turning and leaving. Walking a little straighter backed, a little more weary of her surroundings, and clutching her purse and keys a little tighter. Nathaniel waited, watching silently as she departed south and while it was nigh the perfect opportunity for a 'snack' he did not budge: For one he was well fed to begin with; next, she was a nice enough human, did her job well, and had a family to take care of; and third, why it was plain rude and of a terrible sport to poach on a coven's chosen territory before introducing one's self - part of the only reason he'd agreed to go on a tour, to set a foot in the town, and have his scent available as a polite gesture of breaking bread before meeting (it would be nice to settle for a while, if the coven would accept him here; it would only be time to wait and see). It wasn't long of a wait, however, before she'd turned left a few blocks down into a alley leading to her home or apartment, and he could turn about on his own heel - away from the common courtesy of making sure she got 'almost home' safely, and headed back the two blocks north to his waiting bike...

The bike wasn't anything special or exceedingly expensive, but it had worked to get him from point A to B while blending in (or using a vampire's swiftness and endurance was unnecessary). Unzipping his jacket, he dug into the pocket of his scrub-top to pull out his pair of keys, sticking them in the ignition and after a momentarily coughing roar, the bike began a gentle purr as the engine warmed and ran. He felt then an uncomfortable tinkle as if he was being watched, or at the most a passing glance was lasting longer than most, and took in a deep breath - not finding anything but the staleness of furry, wet dog (or were-wolf), perhaps a vampire or two relatively recently, humans of course in abundance, and most strongly the gas and oil rumbling beneath him as he sat down upon the cycle - nothing new or different found. Huh. "How odd-... No, Ah..." He murmured to himself, as he glanced around fiddling with the helmet in preparation; and on happenstance glanced across the street to the small coffee joint, and the young girl staring expectantly at the window - perhaps not at him, but waiting for something with the cellphone glowing in her hand.

Yet, she seemed rather familiar, or as in his case, unnatural for a regular human being - the yawns spot-on, and the shoulders moving with each unnecessary breath in timeless unbroken rhythm, was rather perfect or perfected as the case might have been. Just his luck, a potential vampire member of the coven in town, which was just as well he supposed that at least the leader (Arthur, or something of the sort, he thought he remembered from another vampire in passing) would know of his presence sooner - if she didn't see him through the window and recognized what he was first, well his scent would be enough when she headed out the door - and talking would start sooner than he'd originally planned. With his possible deduction, he turned back to his task, sliding the helmet on his head, before kicking up the kickstand, and rumbling the bike to a slow even start - down the street towards Main, following Carrie's directions to a T back to the hotel and his room until something more permanent he hoped could be found to 'rest' for the night, and maybe he'd have another blood-bag later on in the night to curb his appetite. At the very most, and the very least - Nathaniel had arrived in Cherry Blossom...

Shane had been up for awhile, reading the paper on her balcony while observing the hustle and bustle of the town. Tonight was definitely a night where she figured things were going to get interesting. Shane was one of the few people... Well, humans, in the town that believe there was more than just humans here. Some people in town, the ones that believed like that there was a Sheriff that had an idea of what was really going on. Others... Nonbelievers thought she was unstable and not suitable to be Sheriff. It was constantly a battle and she could never have everyone on her side.

It was getting close to sundown and Shane always worked at night in a town like Cherry Blossom. That's why she made sure to drink plenty of coffee and sleep in until at least noon so she could be prepared for whatever this town tried to throw at her. After finishing the contents of a large pot of coffee, Shane went inside to get ready to go out and patrol. Never one for uniforms, she put on a more casual and ethical outfit. She clipped her badge onto her belt before attaching her gun holster to the back of her jeans, hidden behind her leather jacket. Lastly she stuck a wooden stake on the inner left side of her jacket, along with a clip of silver bullets. She knew the rumors about what was out there. She may not have encountered one yet but she knew. Shane had no intention of killing any of them but she also had no intention of dying either. Once Shane was ready, she headed out to walk about the town.

It was always a good idea patrolling the areas that were most frequented. There were always drunk people stumbling around, drugs or something else that could need her attention in the more popular areas. Shane decided a good place to walk to was the local cafe. Plus she was hungry and it was dinner time. It took no more than 15 minutes for her to reach the cafe. She walked inside, looking around, slightly surprised at how slow it was. She took a seat at the counter, smiling over towards Elisabeth.
"It's slow in here today. You think it's because of the parties?" She grabbed a menu looking over the options although she knew everything on this menu, she still always had to read it over. "How have you been Elisabeth? It's been awhile."

Lillian froze when she heard footsteps come in through the front door of the pack house. When she sensed it was only Roman she went back to pacing the floor. Roman was her long time friends, they basically grew up together until he and his family moved but that was before the pack broke in two. Though she'd never admit it she was hurt when he left to go to New York with his family but she understood. When he returned and she had to chose between him or Serena as her Beta she chose Serena. After that she noticed him being a little cold towards her and she already knew he didn't like Serena much since she and Lily had gotten close since he left. She understood why he was hurt by her decision but she never had the chance to explain why she chose her instead of him, maybe she would soon enough.

"Lillian, I'm going to warn you now that I don't have pants on!" She looked towards the door in confusion but honestly didn't care at the moment but it would be un-Alpha like of her to allow that so she responded in a slightly awkward voice "So put some on!" and with that she silenced and paced thinking of her plans for the hunt. She knew there was a party tonight and if she knew vampire's she knew they would find at least one leech there. However they wouldn't be able to use everyone there in case it was a distraction to let the others hunt.

"What the fuck Roman!" Lily heard just as she sensed Serena had walked through he door. She smirked finding it sort of funny but she continued to pace and only looked up from the floor when Serena, thankfully, walked through the door instead of pants-less Roman. Serena let her pace for a minute or two before breaking her concentration. "Lily you need to stop pacing, gonna give yourself a headache." Lilly couldn't help smile "My headache started when Roman said he didn't have pants on." She muttered but forced herself to sit down. "I can't help it. You know how I get, Plans aren't my thing. What if something goes wrong?" As an Alpha she couldn't help but worry about her pack and the innocent people that could be hurt in the process of them trying to kill the vermin that are vampires. Hey I think there's a new wolf in town. I've never sensed him before, think you can check that out for me tomorrow?" She asked before turning towards the door Roman I swear, get some pants on and get in here!

She had picked out her potential lover/dinner, who was a little more drunk than she was but the drunker the better. While they danced together she felt someone bump her from behind and was ready to turn around and yell at whomever it was but saw a woman. Now Julia isn't one to yell at woman unless there's a good reason like she's being a bitch. The woman apologized with a smile and went further into the crowd with her friends before Julia could respond. There was something about her but she couldn't put her finger on it at the moment. She ignored the feeling, for now, and lost her dinner somehow. Frustrated she left the dance floor for another drink or two and pulled out her phone. She saw a text from Elisabeth, a group text, Julia hated those but she replied anyway -Not that I've seen. Out at a party, Plenty of humans ;)- She pushed send and put the phone back in it's place in her purse before picking up a cup and chugging whatever was inside.

Before she picked up the second cup she sensed something she didn't want to worry about tonight, werewolf. She scanned the room but couldn't tell who it was so she focused on acting as human as possible. She pulled out her phone again -Werewolf just arrived. Might head out, might not.- She sent the text and put the phone back. She honestly wasn't sure if she should even be worried, this one was alone but it could have called for backup once it sensed her.

Just as she settled down with her mother's spell book she heard her phone buzz. She tried to ignore it but her curiosity got to her so she put the book down and picked up the phone to see a text from Gerald. She smiled, she liked Gerald he was nice and probably one of the only friends she had in town who was actually human besides the sheriff. -Sure. Not doing anything. Where we meeting?- she texted back and got up out of her seat. She picked up the book and put it back in it's hiding place before going to find something suitable to wear. She finally found something, a casual outfit, jeans and a tshirt with a pair of sneakers. Pretty plain but she was fine with it. She sat back down awaiting a response as she finished her tea.

Elisabeth continued looking out the window, daydreaming of simpler times. Times before she didn't have to glance over her shoulder at night, before she was in this war between species, before she was a bloodsucker. Some days she would think about her family and wonder how much they had been hurt by her death/disappearance. After all, her body would never been found even if she was truly dead. The vampire who had turned her had transported her across the country by the time she awoke. Still, it would have been nice to have a proper goodbye with her friends and family. But there was no use in being sad about it, as it was out of her control and always would be. On a few occasions she had observed her siblings from a distance and they seemed happy enough. That was good enough for her.

Her thoughts were interrupted by the feeling of eyes on her. She turned to meet them, making eye contact with a young male next to a motorcycle. Though it was only a moment or two before he put his helmet on and rode down the street, Elisabeth felt that he was familiar. She knew she had not seen his face around Cherry Blossom before, as she knew nearly everyone here-- whether they knew it or not. It was her job to scout the town for potential meals (though she considered this part of her job pointless, as others often ate whomever they desired), know who was in Cherry Blossom, and know what was happening around town. No, it was not his that was familiar but his entire being. She was almost certain that he too was a vampire.

Perhaps she should follow him and find out who he was. What would Arthur think of this? The coven leader could be quite unpredictable. He might decide to rip off the other man's head or he might happily offer him a spot in the coven. Something told her it would be the latter, considering the current werewolf situation. Though the pack was split and the two resulting packs did like to ruffle each other's feathers, they still had the common goal of protecting the humans from vampires. So far none of the coven had been bitten, which was a good thing. Elisabeth had never experienced a bitten vampire before, but Arthur had told her that it results in the afflicted slowly going crazy and attacking the members of their coven. This was not something that Elisabeth wanted to happen to her, though she had a feeling that some of the wolves would rather just kill her on the spot.

Willow would likely be one of those wolves. Truth be told, the young vampire was rather scared of the Alpha. She had a formidable look and presence. It was as if she were telling the whole world that she is not to be messed with. Lillian was intimidating too, but not like Willow. Still, both Alphas could hold their own in a fight.

Elisabeth was again pulled out of her thoughts by her phone vibrating. She looked at Julia's message, saying she hadn't seen any vampires and was at a party with lots of humans. Elisabeth didn't need to feed tonight nor did she enjoy parties. The music was loud, the humans reeked of alcohol, and there were just too many people in one place. She could see Julia thriving in that sort of environment though and was happy to hear that her coven mate was ok.

She was considering leaving the cafe early when Sheriff Dawson walked in. Any hopes of finding out who the mysterious young vampire was would have to wait. Elisabeth was obligated to serve any customer no matter how close to the end of the night that they walked in. Besides, she should have suspected there Sheriff would come around for a late dinner. That's just what she did.

"It's slow in here today. You think it's because of the parties?" the Sheriff commented as she took a seat at the counter. Elisabeth walked from he window back to her spot behind the counter. "It's been pretty slow all day. Nobody has been in in at least half an hour." Thus, she had started cleaning up the cafe ahead of schedule as she hadn't expected any more customers. "It could be," she said, responding to the Sheriff's second statement. "It could also be that Cherry Blossom isn't safe at night. After all, people say you should always walk with a buddy." It was the truth after all-- Cherry Blossom wasn't safe at night. The Sheriff knew as much too, though Elisabeth doubted she knew the true reasons.

"How have you been Elisabeth? It's been awhile." The Sheriff was glancing over the menu, despite coming to the cafe quite frequently. Humans were odd that way. Had she done that as a human? Elisabeth really couldn't remember. "I've been fine. Just working here and reading lots of books." She was thankful that she didn't need to attend the local high school to pass as human. If she did, she felt she would go insane. Instead, she was able to work and obtain money for books and clothes. What she didn't spend was saved for whenever she decided to fix up her house, which would probably be deemed unsafe to live in if a human lived there.

She smiled as she handed Shane a glass of water. "How have you been Sheriff Dawson? It can't be easy trying to deal with all of the recent deaths in the town." There was no denying the deaths of humans around the town whether it be vampire related or natural. Elisabeth decided to bring it up for two reasons: she was interested in what the Sheriff had to say about the murders and because she didn't know what else to talk about. A human her age would probably be curious about what the Sheriff was doing. Humans were both curious and disgusted by murders, so Elisabeth believed this wouldn't raise any alarm by her asking about it. Plus she could gauge how much the Sheriff knew about the true nature of the murders, though she still had doubts that Sheriff Dawson was aware of the supernatural presence in the quaint town of Cherry Blossom.

Elisabeth's phone vibrated in her pocket. She pulled it out and read the text from Julia, stating that a wolf was at the party. Of course, that wasn't enough to convince Julia to leave. The blonde vampire would probably stay unless it was either of the Alphas or Betas. So there was probably no need to be concerned at this point. Elisabeth couldn't do anything anyway, as she was busy doing her job. Ok, don't make a scene and be careful, she replied before placing her phone back in her pocket. If Julia did need help, she could always call Arthur or Rin.

Gerald decided to head toward the center of town, knowing that the streets there were well lit and well travelled (at least during the day and early evening). He had no personal concerns of being attacked as he walked, but he figured he would play it safe just in case tonight was the night someone decided he was a perfect target.

He continued walking, enjoying the cool spring air. It wasn't terribly late, but he was still surprised to see a trio of people on the next block. The trio quick dispersed, with a male and female heading his way while the other male walked away opposite of them. The female called out to the lone male. However, Gerald did not pick up on what she said. His phone had vibrated in his pocket. He read the text from Vivian, more intrigued with it than whatever the woman had said to one of the men. Remembering that they were walking towards him, he moved off to the side so that the two would be able to pass him.

Honestly, Gerald hadn't planned what to do, where to go, or where to even meet. He just wanted to do something with someone. He really should have thought ahead, as now he was left staring at the keyboard of his phone. It was late, so most stores and restaurants would be closed right now. The movie theater was still open, but he wasn't in the mood to see another one. He tried to think of somewhere where they could go that would be open, have something fun to do, and wasn't near any shady parts of town.

He couldn't come up with anything and felt increasing pressure to reply to Vivian. Well, what do you want to do? he decided to ask. I'm at the center of town right now. Even if he did have any ideas for what to do, he would go with whatever Vivian wanted to do (unless it was along the lines of robbing a bank or another illegal activity). He just wanted to hang out with his good friend.

Gerald placed his cellphone back in his left pocket before proceeding to walk down the street.

Apparently taking off one's pants was no appropriate in the Pack House, even if one did so because he fell in a creek. Roman had been hoping for a more playful response than the one he received from Lillian, but wasn't surprised by it either. He really shouldn't have taken his pants off, but at least he announced it before walking further into the house. It wasn't as if he was planning on walking around without pants on for the rest of the night. As soon as he found another pair and a towel he would be properly clothed.

Just as he was about to go in search of some pants, Serena walked in. And I thought falling into the creek was bad. Well at least she didn't- "What the fuck Roman!" Nevermind. Roman couldn't help but grin as Serena passed by him. While it was rather unfortunate that she saw him in such a state, it was also rather amusing. She obviously didn't think it was judging by her reaction.

Roman laughed as she quickly walked around him with eyes averted. "C'mon, I'm not naked or anything!" Serena, not caring if he was naked or not, disappeared into the meeting room. Still amused at her horrified reaction in comparison to the terse one he received from Lillian, he entered the house on the quest to find pants. He knew he had an extra pair in one of the rooms, but wasn't sure exactly which one. He had been drunk when he'd dropped them off, but at least he was thinking straight enough to actually bring clothing to the house in case of emergencies.

He quickly checked the bedrooms of the Pack House, but didn't find his clothing in any of the wardrobes or drawers. Where the hell had he put his clothes?! He closed his eyes, trying to remember. When he'd come to the house, he'd gotten a glass of water before putting his clothes... somewhere. Well, at least he knew they weren't in the kitchen. That still left quite a few places for them to be. Maybe they were in one of the bathrooms?

Roman returned to the master bedroom, which had a bathroom attached to it. Upon opening the closet door he found not only spare towels, but his clothing crumpled into a ball. Some might be concerned as to why he had placed his clothes in a bathroom closet, but weirder things had happened in Cherry Blossom. He grabbed one of the towels and began drying off his now damp legs. He started to dry off his boxers when he heard Lillian's voice. "Roman I swear, get some pants on and get in here!" He chuckled and deeming himself dry enough, put on his extra pair of pants. He tossed the wet pair into the sink, making a mental note to come back for them tomorrow.

Grinning, he walked into the meeting room. "Worry not, I have pants on now," he informed the girls. He stood with his arms crossed over his chest. "So what's our plan of attack for tonight?" he asked seriously. Hunting vampires and protecting an entire town wasn't something to be taken lightly.

"It's been pretty slow all day. Nobody has been in in at least half an hour." Shane began to notice that it seemed like Elisabeth had already started cleaning up the cafe, most likely preparing to close. "It could be... It could also be that Cherry Blossom isn't safe at night. After all, people say you should always walk with a buddy." Shane nodded her head completely agreeing with what she was saying. "You're probably right. I often forget that myself... Generally people steer clear of the Sheriff... Plus I do carry a gun."

After awhile of glancing over the menu, she rolled her eyes closing it. She knew what she wanted. She knew since she walked into the cafe. "I've been fine. Just working here and reading lots of books." Shane smiled, "What kinds of books? Recently I've been reading Pride & Prejudice." She smiled a silent thank you when Elisabeth brought her a glass of water. "You know I think I'm going to be boring and do my usual Elisabeth. Cheeseburger and fries to go please... I don't want to dirty your clean cafe... Plus I should probably patrol near these parties."

"How have you been Sheriff Dawson? It can't be easy trying to deal with all of the recent deaths in the town." Shane wasn't surprised to be asked this. The town's people were usually curious especially when death was involved in a small town like Cherry Blossom. It definitely wasn't easy being a Sheriff in a town like this. "It's never easy being a Sheriff somewhere like this." She smiled slightly while shrugging, "There haven't been as many in the past month, but they're still showing up... A lot of people are thinking it's wild animal attacks. Coyotes and such." She took a drink her water then glanced down at her hands, "Let's just say I'm not so naive."

That was an understatement. Shane new it was something... Something supernatural and out of the norm. If she had to guess Vampires due to the draining of blood and bite marks. But she couldn't verify that 100% until she saw one face to face or there was some sort of indisputable evidence. Unfortunately for Shane, no matter good of a Sheriff she was, it's not an easy job finding something like that. A serial killer is difficult enough, but you through in a supernatural curve ball and it makes it nearly impossible. And also makes anyone who doesn't know the truth question her abilities as a Sheriff. She's constantly stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Elisabeth chuckled internally as the Sheriff replied to her comment about walking with a buddy. She was definitely a formidable woman, but a gun wouldn't do much to bring down a werewolf or a vampire. It would hurt them, sure, but there was also the matter of actually hitting a wolf or vampire before it either got away or attacked you. Poor humans, they didn't know how bad they had it. There was a reason vampires and werewolves were called 'supernatural.'

The Sheriff asked Elisabeth what she had been reading lately, commenting that she had recently read Pride and Prejudice. "I just finished 1984," she replied. She thought it was a terrific book, even if the ending left a lot more to be desired. After Shane closed the menu and set it down, Elisabeth dutifully took it as her lone patron stated her order. The young woman would have guessed the Sheriff would order her usual, but you could never be sure. Sometimes her regular customers would order something completely different on a whim. She set the menu under the counter and listened carefully as the Sheriff replied to her inquiry.

"It's never easy being a Sheriff somewhere like this," the Sheriff said with a shrug. "There haven't been as many in the past month, but they're still showing up... A lot of people are thinking it's wild animal attacks. Coyotes and such... Let's just say I'm not so naive." Elisabeth had a bad feeling about what the Sheriff meant by this. Many humans believed in the supernatural, or at least the possibility of it. If the Sheriff believed that something supernatural was going on, then there would be no stopping her until she found out the truth behind the murders. It would be bad for all involved if a human could prove the existence of the vampires and werewolves in the town.

"I'll go get your food ready," Elisabeth told Shane. She disappeared back into the kitchen. She was the only one working right now, as the cook had left early due to "feeling ill." The young vampire suspected he just wanted to leave so he could go out or be with a lady friend. Either way, she was more than capable of making a cheeseburger and fries. Several minutes later, she was finished. She placed the burger and the fries into separate boxes, setting the box with the burger on top of the fry box. Elisabeth grabbed a plastic bag just in case the Sheriff wanted one. She returned to the front and placed the boxes on the counter before Shane. She placed the bag next to it.

"If you don't mind me asking, what did you mean earlier about not thinking these were wild animal attacks?" Elisabeth was honestly curious, from both a human and vampire scout standpoint. Humans were naturally curious creatures, so her question shouldn't be anything out of the norm for the Sheriff. As a vampire though, she wanted to know exactly how much Shane did or didn't know and what she thought was really going on in Cherry Blossom.

Gerald continued walking, oblivious to the fact that Vivian was now behind him. "Boo!" she screamed and poked his sides. He nearly jumped out of his skin and let out a very manly scream. "Don't you know it isn't safe to walk alone at night?" she asked him as he turned around to face her. His heart felt like it was going to pop out of his chest. Of course he knew it wasn't safe to walk alone at night, but nothing had ever happened to him. He figured as long as he stayed on the main streets he would be fine.

"Yeah, you never know when a wild Vivian will appear and scare the crap out of you," he replied, grinning. His heart rate had slowed down as the adrenaline subsided. "So what's the story, morning glory?" He grabbed her hand and twirled her around, as if the two had been dancing a few moments before instead of Gerald screaming like a little girl. He was hoping she had an idea of what to do, even if it was just walking around town. He was happy she had decided to meet up with him, not that he suspected she had been doing much else. He knew that she lived alone, which he thought must be quite, well, lonely. Gerald didn't mind alone time, but he was too social to just be by himself all day.

"I'll go get your food ready," Elisabeth said as she disappeared into the kitchen. Shane frowned slightly as she realized that not even a cook was there to help her. Shame. No one should work alone, especially not in a town like this. It wasn't long before the girl returned with her food and a bag. Shane smiled thankfully as she placed the boxes in the bag and shifted to her feet.

"If you don't mind me asking, what did you mean earlier about not thinking these were wild animal attacks?" Shane froze mid movement. She was hoping the comment would simply brush off Elisabeth's shoulder. Either that or the rumors about herself would have graced her ears. Although the girl was nice, she had to tread carefully around the subject and be careful of what she did and didn't say. "Half this town thinks I am unfit to be Sheriff... The other half could be easily swayed to their side if the wrong words slip from my mouth." Shane smiled weakly towards the girl. "I won't give stock to rumors. The answer will reveal itself when I have proof... Until then, it's only wild animal attacks."

Shane smirked slightly as she searched her jean pockets for money. Pulling out a $20, she placed it in Elisabeth's hand before closing the girl's hand and patting it with her own. "Keep the change." No doubt that was more than double the worth of the food. But working alone, having to cook, wait and clean yourself can't be easy. "Take care of yourself. And get home before it gets too late... If you need someone to walk with you, just give me a ring."

Shane waved before stepping out of the diner. She casually walked the streets as she ate her burger, keeping her eyes peeled for anything out of the ordinary. After finishing the sandwich, and now only picking at the fries she noticed a pair of familiar faces. Shane slowly made her way towards Vivian and Gerald. "How's everything going?" She said as she joined the pair with a warm smile. "I'm glad to see you both are smart enough not to travel alone." She chuckled softly, before holding out the box of fries towards them. "Fry?"

Willow had a permanent smirk upon her lips as she walked with her arm locked with Markus'. She had always loved fresh meat but something about her Phantom gave her chills... Clearly all the good kind. Will had already made a mental note to cross his path again very soon so that she'd have a chance to decode the mysterious wolf. He intrigued her in more ways than words could explain. Attraction for wolves was on a whole other level, especially because they could often sense when the feeling was mutual... And Will knew it was. Not many would stand toe to toe with her and not be intimidated or falter. But Levi stood his ground, and that enticed her.

Her mind was clearly elsewhere and it took her way too long to register the words Markus spoke to her.
"They're already about to start, and you know Lillian and her 'planning sessions' as well as I..." Willow smirked as she watched his face turn in disgust. He didn't have to explain his thoughts on the matter, she was more then knowledgable towards how he felt. And more often then not the feeling was mutual. "It might be more satisfying to interrupt in the middle of her beginning spiel, and unravel her for the rest of the night; then just coming fashionably late." She pursed her lips, reaching for her phone in the back pocket of her tight jeans to check the time. "As much as I love that devious mind of yours, I believe we may have no choice but to arrive fashionably late."

In a small town like Cherry Blossom, it took no time at all for them to reach the location of the meeting. Willow turned her head towards Markus, her eyes glistening in excitement. "Oh how I enjoy making an entrance." With that, Will released Markus' arm and walked straight for the entrance strutting almost as if to show off her sex appeal and dominance. She did not hesitate to kick open the door and waltz right into the room. Willow made her way right up to an empty seat beside a male wolf that she recalled being called Roman. Her devious grin never left her lips as she took a seat. "Hello handsome." She whispered towards the male beside her, shooting him a quick wink.

Willow leaned back in the seat, crossing her long slender legs while stretching her arm across the back of Roman's chair. She made sure she was comfortable as her gaze remained locked on Lillian's as she caught the end of her little introduction.
"... Just enough for each group to be able to fight one or two vamps. Also if one group get's ambushed the other will have wolves who aren't injured." Will couldn't help but laugh while shaking her head slightly. "Sacrifice the few to save the many, eh Lill?" She cocked her head to the side while pursing her lips. "Since when has it been a good idea to split up?... Haven't you seen any horror film... Ever?"

Willow looked over to Roman, her hand that rested upon the back of his chair, reaching up to twirl a lock of his hair. "By all means... Don't listen to me. After all, what could I possibly know?" She smiled towards her current male company before drifting her gaze over to Lillian. "All I know is... When I plan to do more than scouting, I would never risk my pack by splitting them up. A unit is more powerful than a pair." Willow's grin grew as she leaned forward, resting her free elbow upon her knee, her chin in the palm, while her other hand still grasped Roman's chair. "You better than anyone should know the effectiveness of a group with a strong will, Lillian... If not, you'd be the only Alpha."

Elisabeth listened and watched Shane observantly as she answered, noting her discomfort at the subject. "Half this town thinks I am unfit to be Sheriff... The other half could be easily swayed to their side if the wrong words slip from my mouth. I won't give stock to rumors. The answer will reveal itself when I have proof... Until then, it's only wild animal attacks." The vampire wouldn't push the subject anymore than it had to be. It confirmed her suspicions that the hushed whispers about the Sheriff's beliefs of the true cause of the attacks likely had credit to them, though rumors tended to get out of control in one way or another.

The Sheriff paid Elisabeth with a twenty dollar bill, telling her to keep the change as she closed the girl's hand and patted it. "Thank you," Elisabeth said earnestly. It was a hefty tip, but one she was grateful for. Part of the reason she had chosen to have a job in town was to scout for the coven. Another part was to maintain her "human" standing in town. And yet another was because she was hoping to fix up the house she lived in. It was a far cry from what it used to be and she would love to see it restored. That, and she would also like to have chairs that hadn't been broken by either Arthur or the one who had turned her.

"Take care of yourself. And get home before it gets too late... If you need someone to walk with you, just give me a ring." The Sheriff left the cafe then, heading out to patrol the town. Elisabeth chuckled a bit, as the Sheriff didn't know how capable the girl was of protecting herself. If enhanced sense, speed, and strength was't enough to save her, she could always throw a car at her opponent. Still, it was nice of the Sheriff to offer.

Confident that no more customers would show up, she quickly checked to make sure everything was clean and stowed. After doing this, she sent a text to Arthur. I think there's a new vampire in town. I don't know where he went though. Got bogged down by the Sheriff. I'll check around town before heading home. She decided to omit learning that the Sheriff was most likely suspicious of the supernatural activity in town. That was information best saved for a meeting in person. Plus, depending on where he was he might throw a fit and destroy something or someone.

Elisabeth removed her apron and hung it up. She looked out of the cafe window. Seeing nobody, she looked at her jacket across the room on the coat stand. As soon as she thought about it, the jacket removed itself from the stand and flew over to her as if someone had tossed it. She quickly put it on and looked out the window again, making sure nobody had seen her use her ability. Every now and then she got somewhat lazy, plus it wasn't a bad idea to practice using your ability. The vampire left the cafe and locked the front door. She looked around, wondering which way she should go. She could follow the scent of the other vampire, but his trail had dissipated in the time since they two had seen each other. Likewise, she could just wander the town in hopes of finding a potential meal or any of the werewolves. If she did find a werewolf and was able to remain undetected by it, which wasn't the easiest to do considering their enhanced senses, she would let the rest of the coven know where it was. Caution was always the best choice when it came to werewolves, especially at night when they were apt to hunt the vampires.

In the end, she chose to follow in the path of Nathaniel. She might as well try to figure out who he was and what his business in Cherry Blossom was. If she found a meal or a lone werewolf along the way, it would make the trip even more worthwhile.

Gerald blushed a bit when Vivian laughed at his scream. He knew his scream was rather... high pitched when he was surprised, but it was still embarrassing, as he'd somehow managed never to scream that way in front of his friend before. However, his pride quickly recovered and he grinned back at her. "There's a party not too far from here," she suggested. "Or we could just walk and talk. I have to get somethings at the Herb shop but if you would rather go to the party that's fine too."

Gerald didn't mind parties, but he knew Vivian wasn't a fan of them. If he really wanted to go to a party he would have gone there earlier, but he wanted to hang out with one of his best friends. "Walking and talking sounds good to me," he replied, looking at her. "Though I've gotta ask: what do you need from the herb shop?" He guessed that she was referring to the shop owned and managed by the Lagrange family. He'd been there a couple of times with his mom, but herbs really weren't his thing.

Sheriff Dawson seemed to appear out of nowhere as Gerald turned to look forward. He stifled another scream but still jumped a bit. "How's everything going?" the Sheriff asked politely. "Well, you're the second person to give me a minor heart attack in the past few minutes, but I'll be ok," he replied as his heart beat calmed down. He smiled to show there were no hard feelings. The Sheriff was a nice enough lady and she did the best she could to keep the town safe.

"I'm glad to see you both are smart enough not to travel alone." Gerald declined to comment that until a couple of minutes ago he had been walking alone. He didn't want or need a lecture from the Sheriff, though he understood her the root of concern. She offered out a box of fries to them. "Fry?" Gerald happily accepted, taking a handful. "Thanks Sheriff Dawson," he said before eating one.

Roman plopped down in his chair, resting the urge to swivel in it. He listened as Lillian laid out the plan for tonight's hunt. They would split the pack in half, with Serena leading one half and Lillian and Roman the other. It sounded like a good plan to him. The less time he had to spend with Serena, the better.

Roman opened his mouth to make a quip, but was promptly stopped by the sound of the door being kicked open behind him. He didn't need to swivel his chair to know that Willow, aka the Royal Bitch, had arrived. He thought it was a suiting name for her, in the literal definition of the word and the more insulting one. Willow took a seat next to Roman. He glared at her, though that did nothing to stop her grinning. "Hello handsome," she cooed. Roman growled in return, knowing that it wasn't much of a compliment coming from her. Pretty much any guy could have received the same greeting from her, regardless of his appearance.

As Lillian finished speaking, Willow set her arm across the back of his chair. He ignored it. Seduction would get her nowhere with him. He refrained rom glancing at his friend, Markus, who had dutifully interrupted the meeting along with the other Alpha. Roman wasn't sure what had compelled Markus to join Willow's pack. He'd never asked, as he didn't want their friendship to feel any tension because of it. Whatever the case, Roman as more focused on directing his distaste for the other pack at the Alpha herself.

"Sacrifice the few to save the many, eh Lill? Since when has it been a good idea to split up?... Haven't you seen any horror film... Ever?" Willow chimed into the conversation as if she actually had a place in their pack. "Well, we could always sacrifice you and your pet. I hear vampires like the taste of werewolf blood." Roman commented, though he meant no ill will towards Markus. He decided not to comment on Willow's second remark.

The Royal Bitch proceeded to twirl a lock of his hair, which he again ignored. As much as he wanted to transform and bite her hand clean off, he was restraining himself for Lillian's sake. However, too much more of her crap and he might have to. "By all means... Don't listen to me. After all, what could I possibly know?" She shot Roman a smile, which he responded to with a snarl. "All I know is... When I plan to do more than scouting, I would never risk my pack by splitting them up. A unit is more powerful than a pair. You better than anyone should know the effectiveness of a group with a strong will, Lillian... If not, you'd be the only Alpha." Roman stood swiftly, looking down at the still seated Willow. "You should take your own advice then," he growled at the other alpha. After all, she had only shown up with one other wolf. Two to three weren't the best or the worst odds ever, but they were still favourable to the group of three. He glanced at Lillian before looking back at Willow, as he was ready to strangle her.

Willow’s mind was clearly still back with her ‘Phantom’, Markus suspected, as it was taking her an extraordinary time for her to be digesting his response. Before he could make a sharp quip, and break the half-hearted promise the lopsided ‘x’ his mime had suggested earlier; his cellphone buzzed sullenly. Taking the distractive incentive, he pulled out his phone first to observe Lisa’s newest message with a narrow, but thoughtful gaze.

"Vampire leaving party to find victim elsewhere."

"Acknowledged."

Markus texted in return, short and simple. He wasn’t one to waste words in the first place, and secondly while it was a small, satisfactory win that the mere presence of a werewolf (or wolves) at the party had chased the bloodsucker off – he had nothing else to tell her. It was an annoying predicament to just ‘let one go’, but without proper back-up, and Markus remembered she’d never had to encounter a vampire on her own, Lisa did not need to be shoved into anything overtly dangerous right away.

He looked down as he shoved his phone back into his pocket, and met Willow’s gaze, as a smirk played across her lips when she pursed them checking the time on her phone this time, before she finally responded, “As much as I love that devious mind of yours, I believe we may have no choice but to arrive fashionably late.” Markus snorted roughly, as a mild form of ‘I told you so’ – playing on the pointed look he’d delivered to her earlier that evening. Her ‘Phantom’ had taken some (if not most) of the time up…

It did not take them long to reach the location of the meeting at the old (complete) pack’s house, and Willow turned to him with excitement, before speaking “Oh how I enjoy making an entrance.” “Ladies first,” Markus idly commented, as if she wasn’t going to take the lead anyway. She released his arm, and strutted forward towards the entrance – her sex appeal and dominance obvious, but doing little for him to be frank. He followed closely on her heels, but had shortened his strides as to not step on her.

Markus shut the kicked open door with the back of a heel in an idle movement, the wood banging shut with half as much as force Willow had originally exerted on it in opening it, but the sudden, explosive entrance had already been achieved. He appeared into the room, a second behind his Alpha, and slipped sideways to park himself, leaning against the wall directly behind both, Willow, where she’d sat down to ‘own’ the place, and his old friend, but still good surprisingly with the two pack’s misgivings between one another, Roman. There was other chairs available, but they were on the other side of the table near Lillian and Serena; and while he could have been hardly bothered taking a seat next to them, and watch their skins crawl in closer detail – as a dutiful wing-man, the wall was the better position to observe everyone and their body languages with equal intensity.

Lillian had wrapped up her little introduction spiel, and Willow’s silvery laugh rang out briefly, before she chimed into their conversation with ease – “Sacrifice the few to save the many, eh Lill? Since when has it been a good idea to split up?... Haven't you seen any horror film... Ever?” It seemed to immediately work on Roman’s metaphorical hackles, as he commented back shortly, “Well, we could always sacrifice you and your pet. I hear vampires like the taste of werewolf blood.”

Markus attentive eyes snapped towards the back of the other male’s head, his otherwise perpetually serious expression that often leads one to believe he either expects that you’re an idiot or is quite convinced that you already are, had a twisted smirk – that was more annoyed in the downturn of his lips, than his normal ‘resting face’ of exasperation with the world and it’s occupants. There was quite a far difference from being one of Willow’s ‘pets on a leash' or one of her 'pursuits’, than being her Beta, currently dutiful wing-man, and the wanting to kill each other on a daily basis to contend with as well; very different indeed, he'd have Roman know, but he remained silent.

His eyes slid away from the other male as quickly as he’d locked on originally, to re-observe Lillian (mostly) and Serena too, as Willow continued, “By all means… Don’t listen to me. After all, what could I possibly know?” Smiling and twirling a lock of his hair, she elicited a snarl from Roman. “All I know is… When I plan to do more than scouting, I would never risk my pack by splitting them up. A unit is more powerful than a pair… You better than anyone should know the effectiveness of a group with a strong will, Lillian. If not, you’d be the only Alpha.”

Markus side-eyed his attention, ignoring the momentary inner surge of protectiveness, as Rome stood swiftly, growling out a statement in response to Willow’s obviously fur-ruffling chatter as he looked down at the still-seated Alpha, “You should take your own advice then.” Will could handle herself in the verbal battlefield, easily, he was well aware and hardly worried about that per say; even with the physical odds stacked more in favor of three over the two, they were only here to ‘mess with them’ and not in to stay for a ‘real’ fur-removing fight (not that he’d ever wished such an event to occur, unless absolutely necessary - he could fight, extremely well, but he wasn't eager for one). And Roman, could handle himself as well verbally with his sharp mouth and open hostility; and while he often wondered why he'd still chosen Lillian's pack with the issues of Serena being chosen as her Beta instead, and just so happened still keep their childhood friendship alive despite their pack differences - both of them really didn't need to lose fur and friendship over pack differences tonight, he suspected, idly.

His mouth twisted into half an idle but warning snarl, and had been combined with an oddly amused smile; as perhaps the most threatening chuckle rumbled up, very much like a growl, from deep within his chest. “Must simple observations and idle chit-chat really delve into the threat of violence?” Markus noted, as his normal expression fell make into place when the chuckle faded away. Not quite signaling Roman out specifically on the threat his last statement had veiled (and seemingly attempting to ignore him, much like the other was attempting to do as well), but intended it for the other Alpha (or Beta, he supposed) that he had kept most of his attention on… It was a delicate game, obviously.

The hope for the rest of the evening to remain at a relative standstill, compared to how bombarding the day had been, had been misplaced, Nathaniel reflected. Maybe it was just too much of his good natured, new kid in town rubbing off on others; or merely a small town driven curiosity and eagerness at fault - who could honestly say? But after humoring the elderly hotel owner, smoking a single cigarette (while the other man had already consumed a handful, at least; by the smell of him) curled between his index and middle finger, leaning against the railing of the second floor of the hotel of his temporary ‘home’; he could only guess that in the end, he’d made another successful run at being ‘human’, yet again.

A surprise, but welcoming, distraction came from the night breeze gently whisking by his nose, causing a thoughtful frown to ease unto his maw as he pulled his cigarette away to catch a better waft of downwind heading his way. Nathaniel had eventually expected a visit from one of the coven members or their leader in the following night or so, but so soon after a brief visual encounter with someone he suspected to be another vampire and the fact that it had been more than enough that his scent would’ve still been around but an obvious trail would’ve dissipated (not that the oil and gas that had been underneath him would have helped much, or the current smoking). Huh, must be a hell of a scouter then, he figured.

“What is it?” The foreman grunted as he became aware, finally, to catch on that the seemingly younger man had ignored the steady winding conversation of some small town rumors, or myths, or something. It was endearing to watch as a new wariness set into the elder’s shoulders as he narrowed his eyes against the inky black of the night with muted streetlamps around, to fruitlessly see what he couldn’t and what had drawn the young doctor’s attention instead; he would’ve been just as dead if someone of the supernatural variety had been in the mood - pity, pity.

“Someone I was expecting.” Nathaniel replied evenly. It wasn’t technically a lie? “Oh,” The man mused, looking back with an odd expression on his face, that told the tale of thoughts going on in his head well enough – who on earth would you be expected at that time of night? Let him think what he wanted. “I’ll leave you too it then.” Nodding farewell and thanks for the cigarettes and ‘fine’ talk, the human was on his way back around the corner – heading for the elevator on the far side, as arthritis was probably playing up against him at his age. Leaving the youthful vampire alone thankfully and in silence once again.

Nathaniel reached up to absently rub at the old scars littered across his throat-line, hidden underneath the high necked blue sweater, while he patiently waited. It did not take long for the scent to develop stronger, and his own to likewise become more solid and apparent that he had not left this spot at the motel recently. But he remained in place until the distant but familiar flash of wavy brown hair caught his attention, probably being the girl from the café that was not too far away - even if this was called the edge of town (on this side at least; city growth had primarily headed the other direction(s) more apparently).

If he could see what he suspected to be her, and smell her; she could do the same likewise, and likely in greater detail in the sight aspect with the dusk-to-dawn spotlights glaring down above him and in front of his hotel room. It was then he turned, beeping the flimsy paper card to emit entry, Nathaniel disappeared into his room – but left the door open, and waiting. It would be best to have a talk indoors he figured in a town with werewolf packs running amok, it was only polite to offer.

(If Elisabeth Decides to Interact, Entering the Hotel Room)

All the lights had been flicked on, and emitted a warm, soft glow - not as quite as nice as sunlight, so long ago, but it did well enough and better than talking to someone in the dark (how weird). "Good Evening...?" Nathaniel began lightly, inquisitively cautious but oozing genuine politeness. It'd been a certain stretch of time since he'd actually asked to settle with a coven, and not for his 'revenant' duties they sometimes sought him about for, but he knew or could suspect what she would be asking or wanting to know before going to their Coven Leader with the information gained - however, it was more proper to wait for questions to be asked first, before you 'blabbered' without given reason. He'd sat himself down in one of the two office chairs they'd somehow managed to squeeze into the room with a full or queen bed, and small offset that held the bathroom, closest, and generic coffee maker, leaving the other open, available, and at a fair enough distance from him if she even felt at ease enough in the presence of a loner and wanted to even sit at all.

Elisabeth walked at a steady pace, so as not to seem in a hurry to get anywhere. Besides, there really was no hurry. She suspected she would come across the new vampire in due time, whether it be tonight or tomorrow. It wasn't very hard to find someone in Cherry Blossom, especially when they weren't trying to hide. His trail wasn't clear at first, but as she meandered around the streets she picked up on it. She continued along, his scent beginning to grow stronger as she approached the hotel.

She lifted her gaze from the sidewalks to the hotel as she continued down the street. The bright lights surrounded it, helping her to catch sight of the vampire and a human. She doubted either could see her given the glare of the lights. Likewise, she wouldn't have been able to see them had it not been for the lights. Her pace quickened to a brisk walk, so as to allow the other vampire to prepare himself and the human to leave. As she guessed, the human removed himself from the conversation the two appeared to be having. The vampire stayed put.

Elisabeth could now see him clearly as she approached. He looked young, about twenty or so should he be alive. She couldn't help but smile at the thought of having a member of the coven closer to her age. Rin had been 21 when she was turned, but the two years made all the difference. She could legally drink and was fully considered to be an adult. Elisabeth would never reach that age.

The other vampire left his post by the railing, entering his room. Elisabeth suspected that she was finally close enough for him to have seen her. She continued, glancing around. There were no humans in sight. The young vampire finally reached the hotel. She gingerly climbed the stairs, not wanting them to made any loud noises. Once at the top, she found an open door into Nathaniel's room. She tried to mentally prepare herself for whatever the conversation might hold. This was the first time she'd encountered a lone vampire since her time at Cherry Blossom. There had been a few others who'd joined in the past few years, but it was never her who went to meet them as they preferred staying in the woods until they knew they had the full protection of the coven. Then they would feel free to go into the town.

Come what may, Elisabeth thought as she entered the room. All of the lights were on, as if to welcome her. The room seemed overcrowded with furniture, however the functional bed and chairs were a welcome sight in comparison to her own home. Nathaniel sat in one of two offices chairs, the other a good distance away from him. "Good Evening...?" he greeted her. She noted his tone of voice. He was likely cautious of her, given that he was on the turf of a coven he didn't belong to. But at the same time he was genuinely welcoming her to the room.

"Good evening," she said in response as she took a seat in the other office chair. She quickly examined him. He seemed well mannered-- the opposite of Arthur. A soft smile crossed her lips as she began speaking. She had no ill will towards the other vampire and she wanted him to know that. She was merely curious as to he was and what he was doing in Cherry Blossom. "My name is Elisabeth. I'm part of Arthur's coven as I'm sure you have surmised." She paused wondering how to go about asking why he was here. "May I ask what has brought you to Cherry Blossom?" Despite wanting to be polite, she felt that her question still came off as being too direct. However, she was curious and was not in the mood for small talk.

Gerald cringed a bit as Vivian mentioned that he had been walking alone. He really didn't want to hear a lecture from Sheriff Dawson about why he should walk with someone else. Thankfully, she didn't give him that lecture, opting to talk about the herb shop with Vivian. He really had no interest in herbs (unless they were on his food), but he would still accompany Vivian nonetheless.

He felt a bit bad for having eaten so many fries, but he was hungry for something other than theater popcorn. The Sheriff bi them good luck with herb shopping, reminding them that they had her number should they get into any trouble. Gerald didn't see how the two could possibly get into trouble while going to the herb shop. "Have a good night Sheriff!" he called after her.

Gerald looked back at his friend. "So, to the herb shop then? You'll have to lead the way, I have no idea where we're going," he admitted. He trusted that Vivian knew where she was going. Worst case scenario they use Google Maps or something to find it.

“You’re lucky I respect my Beta…. Because if not, I’d be wiping your entrails from the underside of my boots,” Willow commented. Roman snarled in response, but made no attempt to move toward or away from her. He'd probably lose in a fight against Willow, but he'd fight till the very end.

“Must simple observations and idle chit-chat really delve into the threat of violence?” Markus commented. Roman felt that this was directed towards him, but he had to admit his childhood friend was right. There was no sense in violence at the moment, though he never minded a good fight. He took a deep breath and let out a sigh. "Roman! Sit down" Lillian commanded him shortly after Markus spoke. He rolled his eyes. Though he really didn't want to sit next to the Royal Bitch, there were no other chairs. He could sit on the ground, but he'd only look like a moody child put into time out then. Alternatively he could sit on the table, but that didn't seem like a very good option. He sat back down his chair, rolling it out of Willow's reach so that she wouldn't start touching him again.

He sat quietly as Lillian told Willow to leave. Willow in response had quite a few remarks about both of the packs and their respective alphas. Oh, pack politics. He never like them, but the pack needed a hierarchy lest they have an anarchy. Roman was somewhat surprised the coven had a hierarchy given that Arthur was the leader. He continued to stay quiet as Willow spoke, though he would love to throw in his thoughts. However, he felt that Lillian could handle herself well enough and that any more words or actions from Roman would lead her to take her anger out on him.

After Willow and Markus left, Roman looked at his friend. He opened his mouth to speak, but then closed it. He had enough sense to know there was truth in Willow's words, especially about the threat to both packs regarding the vampires. Perhaps someday they would team up to take out the coven, but today was not that day. He leaned back in his chair and let out a sigh as he ran his fingers through his hair. This night was not going well for him.

"Roman! Sit down,” Lillian finally snapped, and for a moment Markus felt her gaze focus sharply on both Willow and Roman (and by extension himself, further back) – he returned the look in unblinking challenge, but noted out of the corner of his eyes, his friend rolling his eyes but obliging his Alpha’s command to sit back down in his chair, but wisely scooting further away from Willow’s reach.

"I suggest you and your so-called Alpha leave our territory,” A warning growl rumbled deep within Markus’ chest at Lillian’s comment, though no snarl graced his frowned lips yet. An Alpha of Alpha-bloodlines, while Willow was hardly perfect (except in being a pain in the ass, he could – and would willingly – attest to that), was still far better than an inferior runt, that had to fight for any position in the pack – let alone the elders that had gone to her pack, choosing her for the Alpha position out of all those eligible, seemed rather silly, if not sad. Thank you very much.

Lillian continued, in a growl echoing his own, turning her full attention to Willow – telling them to leave (as if they had planned on staying anyway?). Willow in response had her remarks in turn sharp, well organized, and subtly pointed in the way she dished them out as well. Certainty the plan was working brilliantly to undermine Lillian in front of her own pack’s hierarchy, ruffling feathers and raising hackles galore; but the advice Will was giving out was genuine, whether or not the younger female took note of it and saved wolf lives – fei.

It wasn’t long before the conversation winded to an abrupt halt, as Willow made her exit around Markus into the entry hall and towards the door, and only then did he move off the wall, with his watchful eyes flick away from Lillian and Serena, and dutifully followed. Taking good care to make sure the door slammed shut tight, and loud, on his way out.

After some stretch of silence, Willow broke it first as she slowed her commanding pace and due back beside him, "Who would have thought the day would come where they'd be the one throwing out the threats?” Markus snorted in mild laughter at her chuckled comments and the ‘innocent’ shoulder shrugging, and responded in drawling exaggeration in turn, “Uh-huh, and you’re sure it isn’t your sparkling reputation with the male population being a little topsy-turvy?” He finished, rolling his eyes. She’d certainly turned over a new leaf, between her encounter with her ‘Phantom’ to Roman.

“Ok well threatening first... I simply gave advice and then all hell broke loose." Markus looked thoughtful at that, and his next words, answers and responses, were honest without joking, as he continued, “We’re getting somewhere, I suppose. Or they’re getting smart enough to buff threats back at simple feather ruffling?” He paused, snorting. Right. We’re they getting smarter, or was it just Willow’s topsy-turvy sparkling reputation with the boy’s? Huh? “Eventually, Lillian will crack under the pressure and make a mistake – wolves may be unfortunately lost, or we may gain a few to our ranks once they see the reason too… Either way, we still crashed the party fashionably late, and have ruined the rest of the night (if not frazzling their Alpha). Not awful time spent…”

Even though the pack house was out located in the woods, away from the town to keep away from humans readily finding it, it didn’t take long to get back to town either (when you knew the right path to take). But on the streets of Cherry Blossom, far too close to the house party – still going strong, with its obscenely loud music – Markus froze, reaching out his hand to grasp Willow’s elbow in a gentle but solid grip, more as an attention-grabber than of protectiveness, as he rolled his forward momentum to a stop. The already disgustingly fresh scent of a bloodsucker passing by was obvious enough, but more alarmingly one of their own pack – Lisa’s scent – was intertwined within a brief encounter.

Dammit Lisa. He remembered specifically not telling her anything about going after the vampire, even if it was an annoying predicament to just ‘let one go’. She had no proper back-up, hadn’t had to ever encounter one on her own, and hell bell’s it was dangerous period. Markus teeth clicked in annoyance, as he glanced down to Willow and released his grip (assuming she’d had a chance for herself, to recognize the scents and situation at hand) - his eyes frustratedly worried, even though well hidden by his general exasperation with the world.

“We’ll need to go find her, and make sure she didn’t get injured.” Markus stated, reasonably. After that? It was up to Will, but he wouldn’t mind some much needed hunting to be fitted in before the night grew late – especially if the bloodsucker had managed to hurt Lisa, even if she had been being an idiot.

“Good evening.” Came the female’s response, as she took the seat in the other office chair, and Nathaniel took the time to observe her further in like-minded interest while she gathered her own thoughts and the questions to ask him. She wasn’t much older than him physically he could readily tell, between the ages of 18-20 he could only assume. Her immortal age, however, was much harder to gauge – especially when every young monster eventually got to the point of having old souls reflected in their eyes, period. Otherwise she seemed to be a calm, cool-headed, and collected individual, quite unlike the stories he’d heard thus far on the road about her coven leader

“My name is Elisabeth. I’m part of Arthur’s coven as I’m sure you have surmised… May I ask what has brought you to Cherry Blossom?”

Nathaniel blinked. The soft smile had already been disarming in itself, even if it was only meant as a kind if curious gesture he noted. Like that quote that could explain it so well, oh – Most species bare their teeth as a threat, a display of aggression, of leadership. It is a reminder that these clenched jaws can and will open your yielding throat. I want you to remember this the next time I smile. Or something of that sort? Either way, super naturals weren’t much different in that regards, even a flat-toothed grin could hold another meaning (not that that he figured this meeting would go sour in such a way, but cautious thoughts always got the better of him in new locations and on different turf – you couldn’t quite blame him either about it).

But now, the lack of small talk and jumping straight to the point without beating about the bush, was another amusing turn of hand. Well, he could have even called it a blessing, after far too many other times joining in covens and their lengthy processes. Huh, how refreshing.

Nathaniel smiled gently, and with the echo of laughter on his breath, he mused in response, “If I’m allowed to be so frank, it is a pleasure, Elisabeth, and my name is Searus, Nathaniel.” He paused briefly then, looking thoughtful momentarily for a response to her next statement. It didn’t take long to create a short answer, for a long story of having seen action against werewolves and witches at one point or another in his lifetime, but having probably killed more of his own kind that had broken the codes than he’d ever cared to admit. “I’m here in Cherry Blossom looking to join Arthur’s coven. One that I hope won’t be needing or looking to use my Revenant abilities anytime soon.” It was the honest, if ugly truth. Nathaniel had grown tired of hurting, and perhaps a coven with one so ‘wild’ as Arthur leading them would hide him from having other covens come asking for him to finish up their dirty work for a time. He could hope anyway?

Nathaniel continued, smile still intact though the brief surge of amusement had faded, “I already have acquired a job as a Junior Medical Staff at the small Hospital here in Cherry Blossom, and these accommodations have already been paid out for this week. Thus, as the codes permit, I will not poach and will leave if that is ultimately Arthur’s or his seconds’ decision(s).” They were simple statements, that were by in large sweet, to the point, and naked without the small talk ‘hiding’ them per say; but they were better said than not, he figured, as he was expanding slightly without being asked from her original, partially blunt-ended question. “Is there anything else you’d want to know?”

“If I’m allowed to be so frank, it is a pleasure, Elisabeth, and my name is Searus, Nathaniel,” the other vampire introduced himself. She was thankful that he was quite civil in his speech, a contrast to how Arthur could be.

“I’m here in Cherry Blossom looking to join Arthur’s coven. One that I hope won’t be needing or looking to use my Revenant abilities anytime soon.” Elisabeth couldn't help but be intrigued as Nathaniel decided to share that he was a gifted vampire such as herself. Though she was curious as to what sort of ability he possessed-- given that those in the coven had quite a variety of them-- she did not ask. It was Arthur's right to know first what ability this other vampire possessed. She could always ask him a later time should he be accepted into the coven.

She remained quiet as he continued, telling her of his job at the hospital and promising to uphold the codes by which vampires were supposed to live. Elisabeth hadn't been expecting him to mention any of these things, but didn't mind that he did. She wondered briefly what it must be like to work in a hospital when you fed on blood, but her thoughts of this disappeared as Nathaniel asked her a question. “Is there anything else you’d want to know?”

Elisabeth shook her head before answering orally. "No, what you've told me will suffice. I'll let Arthur know that you wish to be a part of the coven." She rose from her seat, preparing to leave after their brief conversation. "He'll come by here tomorrow night to speak with you." Truthfully, she couldn't actually promise that Arthur would do that. He might have his own plans and want to sit in a pub all day instead of meeting Nathaniel. However, something told Elisabeth that she could get Arthur to stop drinking or fighting long enough to let the new vampire into the coven. The coven leader and its youngest member were quite close, having a sibling like relationship.

"Goodnight Nathaniel," Elisabeth said with a kind smile as she left the room. She closed the door gently behind herself before departing the town in favour of her home in the woods.

"I'll lead the way," Vivian joked. Gerald moved his arms to side, gesturing for her to lead the way before following after her. He again wondered what she could need from the herb shop, but figured she was probably getting herbs for on food or tea.

Did they sell tea at herb shops? He really didn't know. If they did, he'd have to remember which kind she got so he could buy it for her birthday. He knew she liked tea, so it seemed like a good gift to him. Tea and a book-- yes, that would be a good combination! He smiled to himself as they continued to walk, thinking of how happy his friend would be when she eventually received these presents that he had yet to purchase.

Roman remained quiet as his friend spoke, throwing her chair against the wall. He cringed a bit, knowing that he would be the one to fix any damages done. "Roman, you are in charge. Do not go on the hunt without me. I'm going for a run." She abruptly left before the Beta or the Delta could ask her if she'd misspoken. Truthfully, the young man thought Lillian had said the wrong name in her distress. He didn't see any reason why he should be in charge over Serena.

He looked over at Serena, who had been looking at him but by chance turned away almost immediately after he'd looked at her. “I can’t deal with any shit from you right now Roman. I’ll be upstairs, call me when Lillian gets back.” Serena soon left the room as well, leaving poor Roman to pick up the pieces of what had just happened.

"I wasn't going to say anything," he mumbled to himself, looking at the fallen chair across the table from him. The chair itself had managed to stay intact, though it might be unsafe to actually sit in. The wall had a nice dent in it from where the chair had struck it. He would deal with the wall later. He crossed the room and righted the chair, switching it with the one Willow had sat herself down in. This way, should the chair end up collapsing when someone sat in it, it wouldn't be him, Serena, or Lillian. Maybe it would collapse when Willow sat on it the next time she decided to barge in on their meeting.

With the meeting room looking presentable, Roman left and sat in the living room. All he could do now was wait for members of the pack to turn up and for Lillian to come back. It probably wouldn't be of any use to try an talk to Serena at the moment, given that she seemed angry at him. He sighed. I could use a beer.

Events for the next two days

Arthur met with Nathaniel and after a couple of hours of getting to know the youngster (history and all) he was accepted into the Coven. He isn't too sure what the boy's position will be but he will be assigned it soon.
Arthur senses witches in town and has given Elisabeth the job of finding them, with the help of Julia if needed.

Lillian's pack went on their hunt and as Willow had said some of her hunter's were hurt. Thankfully no one was bitten. Lillian is contemplating what Willow said about the two packs having to join together again to rid the town of vampires however she refuses to take orders from Willow.

Vivian and the coven grow stronger without realizing they were being sensed by Arthur. Vivian knows something big is about to happen but isn't sure what, sh'e afraid she must reveal the coven to the wolves sooner than expected.

Four bodies have been found in ally ways, three female and one male. All look as if they've been attacked by animals but they are drained of blood. Religious people think demons. Police think animals. Everyone else think there may be a cult forming.

Vivian was getting worried, she keeps having this feeling that something big and bad is going to happen soon but she can't seem to find out what it is. She's used every future telling spell she'd found in her mothers spell book but each time it's just something that doesn't matter. Unfortunately she doesn't know how to read cards but one of the other witches in the coven do so she's working on that while the rest of the coven has been working on strengthening their powers. It's been going well, everyone is getting stronger which will help them when and if they ever have to fave the vampires in town.

The card reader found nothing, she thinks something is hiding the answer from them but why? This makes Vivian think the coven will have to reveal themselves to the wolves before they are ready. If the wolves know then it won't take long for the vampires to know. It will put the coven's life in danger.

Arthur had given both Elizabeth the job of finding these phantom witches that he says are in town. Julia doesn't trust Elizabeth to find them seeing that she has a job. Well, Julia does too but she doesn't exactly have to be there. She took it upon herself to 'help' find them. Arthur never said whether he wanted the witches brought to him dead or alive but if they were alive they would cause more problems so dead it was.

Being cooped up during the day was horrible especially for someone like Julia. She didn't like being held prisoner by something that was billions of miles away, seemed ridiculous. Thankfully it was nearly sunset, it was almost time for freedom. Though she could probably go out now, Julia liked to be safer and wait until the sun was totally gone out of the sky.

The hunt went horribly, members of her pack were hurt just like Willow had said. It frustrated her that Willow always seemed to be right no matter what she did. This honestly made her consider taking up Willows offer to rejoin the packs but that would only be Lily giving up her position as Alpha and there was no way Lilly would do that without a fight. Even if she did follow through with it Willow would constantly remind her of how bad of an Alpha she was.

On top of all of this there was a new wolf in town which Lilly found out Willow had visited. Willow was most likely trying to get him to join her pack, Lilly was going to make it harder for her to do so. Lilly needed to find him and have a chat with the wolf. She followed his sent, once she was in the streets. This was a new sent, so she didn't know this wolf. The scent lead her to the old Auto shop, the light was on. Strange, he must be the new owner. She thought and followed the scent to the diner. There he was, she could only see the back of his head. She went inside and sat right next to him at the bar, Coffee, black. She ordered then stayed quiet for a few seconds before turning to him.

There's no rest for the wicked. Which unfortunately means there is even less rest for the Sheriff. She was always at a constant state of tired or more tired. But considering the number of police that stick around Cherry Blossom continues to dwindled, it just adds a heavier burden onto her own shoulders. More often then not, Shane hated it. Everyone walked on eggshells around her. They were either keeping their distance because they thought she was insane because of what she believed, or intimidated because she is Sheriff. Either way, it usually left her with knowing everyone but having friends?... Yeah those really didn't exist. It was no doubt a lonely life, which takes its toll.

After relatively assembling herself with her basic attire and badge following a well needed shower, Shane went back out into the town for yet another day of probably getting no where fast. She was in desperate need of coffee to keep her drooping eyelids at bay and make herself at least seem like she gets more than 4 hours of sleep a night. So she made her way to the diner that seemed to be getting a steady flow of customers. The entry bell dinged as she entered the oh too familiar restaurant. Shane nodded her head towards Lillian and Levi. She didn't really remember him, but she knew his mom well enough and assumed he'd be taking over the shop now that he was back.

Shane makes her way to the counter where her steaming hot coffee was waiting. Of course she was a regular so they always had her order ready at the same time everyday. She practically moaned while taking a sip of the euphoric liquid.
"Don't ever become a cop if you value sleep." She wasn't talking to anyone in particular, just sort of stating it for the masses. Shane reached into her pocket, giving more than enough money for the coffee. "Stay golden." Shane waved the hand that held the coffee towards the diner patrons while giving her farewell and exiting the diner.

After the murders over the passing days, Shane decided she should probably pay a visit to the hospital and their morgue. She was never one for hospitals because more often then not they had a depressed stigma to them. She didn't know how doctors and nurses did it but Shane respected them.

She walked through the sliding doors. With a flash of her badge to the appropriate people, she made her way through the halls without question or being stopped. Most their knew her face and never questioned her presence. Shane rounded a corner so that she was facing the nurses stations, left hand holding her coffee as she sipped while her right thumbed through a list of evidence or lack their of from the crime scenes.
"Hey Janet, I'm going to-" Shane stopped mid sentence when she looked up and saw a new, rather young face, at the nurses station. "You're not Janet." She immediately was kicking herself over the stupid comment, of course he wasn't. Was this coffee even working? "Sorry... I'm still trying to wake up." Shane tucked her phone into her back pocket before extending her hand to him. "I'm the Sheriff Dawson, but everyone just calls me Shane... Don't think I've seen someone as young as you in this hospital." Or any for that matter. But she wasn't going to say it.

Willow was awake before noon. That was a first in a long time. But the hunt usually made her tired, especially being an Alpha. It just puts extra weight upon your shoulders. She groaned knowing that sooner or later she'd have to get out of bed and make her way to Markus' before going on yet another hunt. But thankfully she never worried too much over a hunt because unlike her less than stellar Alpha opponent, she didn't split up her pack. That does not bode well for anyone, just watch Scooby Doo.

There rarely were "set" times for their little meetings, and being alpha, Willow could show up as fashionably late as she wanted. So instead of going right there, she decided to detour towards the diner considering she never had anything in her apartment other than beer. Sometimes she could swear she was a man in a past life with some of her lifestyle choices.

Once she was dressed, Willow headed down the stairs to the sad excuse for a parking lot behind her apartment building. Coming upon the blue tarp, she grinned. Will grasped the plastic and yanked it off of her baby, Triumph Bonneville. She grasped the handles and then flipped up the kick stand with her foot. After straddling the seat, she hooked her sunglasses on the collar of her shirt then pulled the helmet over her head. When she was ready, Will turned the key in the ignition, gave the engine a couple revs, then took off down the road.

The sound of her bike echoed off the sides of houses and buildings as she sped through the streets of Cherry Blossom. Nearing the diner, Will caught a wif of a newly made familiar scent. She smirked to herself slightly while pulling into the lot beside the old diner. As she did so she also smelled the scent of another wolf that she wasn't particularly up for crossing paths with, and another scent... That even with as much as her and Lill had their differences, she was glad other wolves were there too. With an agitated sigh, Willow gave the engine a couple revs before shutting it off. A growled rumbled in her throat as she removed her helmet and hung it on the handle bars before heading into the diner.

Willow wasn't in the mood for drama, but she was sure showing up on her rather loud motorcycle had everyone looking her way already. So with her sassy attitude, she strutted her way into the small restaurant. Will leaned upon the counter next to Levi on the opposite side of Lillian. At first she paid either of them no mind.
"Hey Luci! How's my favorite waitress doing?" Will flashed her a friendly wink, knowing that she already knew her order and would put it in for her. She decided to finally sit on the stool beside Levi, resting her back against the counter so she was facing him about as close to face to face as you can.

"How's my phantom?" Willow's voice was quiet and flowed forth from her lips like toxic velvet, it's tendrils snaking its way towards Levi. Her hand closest to him raised to brush her index finger ever so softly along his bicep. After a moment or two of enough flirtatious actions, for the time being, Will leaned her head back so that she could look over towards Lillian. "Heard some of your group got themselves hurt..." Willow was careful not to outright say pack or anything that could make the idiot humans of this town suspicious. "I take it you ignored my advice?"

Tonight was one of the nights where Elisabeth did not have to close the cafe. Thus, she left as the sun began its descent. Arthur had assigned her a Julia to search for witches in the town. How he knew there were witches at all was beyond her and she even considered the possibility he'd just been too drunk and thought he sensed witches. It wouldn't be beyond him. But he was the coven leader and what he said (usually) was what was done. So now the young vampire was tasked with finding these mysterious witches and also tasked with trying to get along with Julia while doing it.

The two rarely saw eye to eye on things, but nonetheless Elisabeth respected her as she was Elisabeth's elder. The young vampire let out a sigh as she walked. She did not own any mode of transportation other than her own two feet (unless you counted her telekinetic abilities, though they were unacceptable to use in most cases). Though her parents had taught her the basics of driving, she hadn't lived long enough to put what she learned into action. She wasn't confident in her ability to drive and thus never bothered to try. A bicycle wasn't a bad option, but truthfully she didn't mind just walking everywhere. It was relaxing to her.

Elisabeth arrived at Julia's home and knocked on her door. "Julia?" she called to the other vampire. She highly doubted that the blonde was at her job right now, given that she had coven tasks to attend to.

As she waited for a response, Elisabeth briefly thought about what the pair would do. How did one find a witch? She had been told that witches looked and smelled like humans and thus finding them using appearance or scent would be impossible. Unless they stumbled upon one casting a spell or something she highly doubted the process would be easy. Plus, how would one incapacitate a witch? Were they allergic to anything? Were their bodies as fragile as humans? Elisabeth had absolutely no idea, as she'd only met one witch in her sixty-two years of being on this earth. The witch she had met was a lovely young woman who had briefly hosted Elisabeth and the one who turned her while they were traveling to Cherry Blossom. Based on this experience, Elisabeth held no ill will towards witches though she knew that not every witch was bound to be nice.

Gerald had enjoyed a day of reading in the library. There really was nothing else for him to do considering he was still looking for a job and so he spent his days indulging in reading, movies, video games, and being with friends. It was enjoyable, but he knew he really needed to get a job. He was only 20, but it wasn't like he was a kid anymore. He had responsibilities and one of them was to have an income.

Resisting the urge to put his feet up on the table, he leaned back on his chair until only the back two legs touched the ground. He'd heard countless warnings from teachers, friends, and parents not to lean back so far, but he still did it nonetheless. It was a habit of his. He flipped to the next page of the book.

Gerald had always been able to read quickly. This was his second book for the day and he was three chapters from the end. Fifty-three more pages and he would be done with it. Once that happened he had no specific plans, though he might go somewhere to eat before returning home. Maybe he'd ask Vivian if she wanted to go to dinner with him. He knew she lived alone and thought she must get lonely.

Roman climbed out of his car, closing the door and locking it once he was out of it. It was no Ferrari, but at least it wasn't a complete piece of crap like his last car. He walked around it and proceeded up to Serena's house. He wouldn't normally stop by, but given the less than spectacular results of the hunt a couple of days ago, he wanted to pay her a visit. She and a few other wolves had been injured during the hunt, but thankfully no one was killed or seriously injured. He was genuinely concerned about her well being (though he wouldn't admit because he was a stubborn dog), as it would be no good to have a dead Beta. He was sure the Royal Bitch would have a field day if that happened. So while he was her to make sure she was healing, he was also here for Lillian's sake.

Both he and Serena knew how tense Lillian was now a days, no doubt the result of being an Alpha. To have a and hunt on the same night as an intrusion from Willow were dual stress factors Lillian didn't need. Thus, Roman was going to suggest to Serena that her two best friends, despite their differences, should take her on a night out. He wasn't sure if Serena would agree and even if she did there was the problem of getting Lillian to agree as well. But the Delta would be taking one hurdle at a time.

However, he was in for a surprise upon reaching her front door. A note, closed, was taped to the door. Before he even processed what he was doing, Roman ripped the note from the door in one swift motion. He did not hesitate to open it, though in the back of his mind he knew it definitely wasn't intended for him and thus was not his to read. But his impulse had taken over and he found himself reading Serena's letter to Lillian.

Dear Lily,
I know that this isn't going to mean much but I'm really sorry. I truly wish that I didn't have to leave but it's the only way to keep everyone safe. I don't know how long I'll be gone but I know you'll be in good hands with Roman as your Beta. Please don't be mad, I can't tell you where I'm going or why I'm leaving but I hope I can come back soon. I know you'll want to but please don't come after me, I don't want you getting caught up in this. Lastly, I know you're about to start pacing so sit the fuck down.
With Love, Serena

Well shit. Roman was about to start pacing at this point, panic filling his mind. What had caused Serena to just pack up and leave like this? What was this threat she was scared of telling Lillian about? How long had she been gone? Resisting the urge to pace or to destroy something, he let out a deep sigh to clear his mind.

There was no way he was telling Lillian about the note... yet. She had mentioned something about a new wolf in town and looking to recruit him before Willow did. If that was the case, she was probably busy right now and wouldn't appreciate him barging in on whatever conversation she was having. So for now, as far as his friend knew, he was just going about his own business. He would only alert her to the situation if he couldn't find Serena.

With that being said, Roman prayed to whatever god there may be out there that Serena was still lingering around town. While he could have tracked her scent, it would be somewhat difficult since she had taken her car. After getting back into his own car, he pulled out his phone to text her. His fingers hovered over the keyboard as he thought about how he should word his text. After a few moments of thought he sent her a text: Hey, where are you? I have food. It was casual enough and not terribly odd for him to offer food to any of the other wolves. Everyone loved food and everyone had to eat food-- it was a good conversation starter. Plus he always bought more food than he actually needed and didn't mind giving what he didn't need to others in the pack.

Her boss wasn't too happy about her calling off for the night. She was the most popular dancer there and he seemed to get more money when she was there. In order for him to let her call off, not that she actually had to, she agreed to work an extra day for double hours. It was annoying, if he were standing in front of her she'd be able to manipulate him without making compromises. She'd have to deal with that next time she saw him. Right now she had to worry about tracking down a coven of witches. Julia trusted Arthur about everything but how were they supposed to track witches? They looked and smelled like humans and unless they were using a spell there was no way to tell the difference.

Though Arthur did say they give off a different aura than humans. Which meant that they should be able to feel the difference but honestly she wasn't even sure if Arthur was right about that. nor was she sure he was right about the witches. As far as any vampire or werewolf knew witches went into hiding. There was no way a coven of witches would go into hiding in a town filled with vampires and wolves. Cherry Blossom should be the last town with witches roaming around.

"Julia?" She heard her name after a series of knocks on her door. It sounded like Elizabeth and she couldn't hold back an annoyed groan. Not only because it was Elizabeth, she honestly didn't mind the girl but they never saw eye to eye, but also because she hated when people just showed up to her house. She found it rude, maybe it was just her old timely thinking.

With a sigh she opened up the door and saw that she was right. Elizabeth was standing there, "You know it is rude to arrive at someone's home unannounced." She said motioning the girl into the slightly messy living room. "Don't mind the mess. I haven't had a chance to clean up, which is why you don't show up unannounced." She said closing the door being sure to swing it hard enough for it to slam loudly.

As soon as she turned to him she saw the smirk on his face, "I knew this day was coming..." So he knew she'd come to meet him? Well that was the least he could expect from an Alpha, plus the fact that Willow had met him first kind of gave her a disadvantage. "You must be, Lillian?" She was going to correct him by giving him her nickname, only important figures called her by her real name, but the air stiffened. Willow This woman really needed to get a life, though to be fair this was a small town and this was the only diner in it. Still, she couldn't get over the fact that Willow did this kind of thing on purpose.

Lilly didn't pay much attention to her until she spoke to Levi, "How's my phantom?" Her phantom? It was a weird nickname but it didn't really matter to her. Then Willow turned to her, and she knew what was going to come out of her mouth before she even said it. "Heard some of your group got themselves hurt..." a low growl rumbled in Lilly's chest. "I take it you ignored my advice?" It was a hard thing for Lilly to swallow even now, two days later. She had ignored Willow's advice and she couldn't help wonder if it would have been different if she'd threw away her pride and actually listened to it.

She took a deep breath, she was here for Levi not to humor Willow in a verbal argument. Serena would tell her to ignore the woman, to stay calm and focus on the issue. "I don't take advice from you. She said then turned back to Levi, but the waitress came back and gave Willow her order then started talking to Levi. His mother. She must know about them, or at least him. this wouldn't do, there was no privacy to talk pack business but she refused to let Willow think she'd run her away from her phantom.

"You know it is rude to arrive at someone's home unannounced," Julia to the younger vampire, "welcoming" her into her home. Elisabeth stepped into the living room. "Don't mind the mess. I haven't had a chance to clean up, which is why you don't show up unannounced," Julia said as she closed the door. It slammed shut, though Elisabeth really did not need another clue as to how annoyed the other vampire was with her. Perhaps she should have asked if she should could come over, but what was done was done and she couldn't change it now. So was the nature of life.

"Do you want me to help you clean up?," Elisabeth offered. Given her ability it wouldn't take her long to organize everything around the room. She'd fed the previous night and so her energy was high enough that moving multiple objects would be no problem.

She glanced around the room. Julia may have thought it was a mess but it could be worse. Elisabeth also felt a twinge of envy that the blonde vampire had functional furniture given that most of hers was broken thanks to Arthur. She should have known that she'd regret giving the coven leader an extra key to her house.

"How do you think we should go about finding these witches?" Elisabeth inquired. She was still at a loss for what exactly to do. Arthur mentioned that the two should be able to sense something different about a witch since they weren't entirely human, but Elisabeth wasn't experienced enough with witches to do so. She was also unsure of what to do should they succeed in finding one or multiple witches. Would they be hostile or friendly? From what she'd heard most witches were hostile towards vampires, but she couldn't help but hope that this wasn't the case. The vampires were already fighting with the werewolves-- a war she did not entirely support-- and to have to fight with witch as well would be tiring.
