Jack didn't look entirely convinced, and he shot another glare at the guy, just daring him to try something, before turning to Bailey. She didn't appear to be outwardly injured, just scared, and he relaxed a bit. It seemed that whatever weird condition was causing the jerk to just stand there had overtaken him at the right time and not a moment too soon, either.

"If you say so..." he replied dubiously. "Come on, where do you live? I'll take you home..."

Bailey slowly pulls herself to her feet, wiping her eyes again with one arm and the other still connected to the wire fence. Shaking her head, she looks up at Jack, "No, no.... I think I'm okay now..."-she swallowed hard, trying to relax herself a little faster-"but thanks you... I don't know what would've happened if you didn't come over..."

"Uh, well... okay then," Jack replied, still not entirely convinced. He was going to walk her home anyway, just in case. It seemed like the right thing to do.

He had started them down the road when a sudden feeling twisted his gut, and he stopped suddenly. "Do you... feel that?" he asked, a slight look of confusion taking up residence on his countenance. Something was very, very wrong, and he wasn't exactly sure how he knew that. ... the Hell?

Someone shouted something, loud enough that it rang in his ears, so loud as to be incomprehensible, and he clamped his hands over them, turning around to see where it had come from. A figure was rapidly emerging from the darkness, though he could not make out what it was, it smacked of danger. "Hey, Bailey? Can you run? If you can, start running now, and don't look back." He knew he was faster than she was, so he wanted her to hav a hed start. Maybe he'd be able to slow down whatever was coming at them.

Somehow, he didn't think so, but he had to try anyway.

Bailey quickly becomes tense with fright. She begins to say something, but quickly shuts up and nods at the sight of something racing towards them. She turns to run, not looking back as Jack had instructed to her.

OOC: Sorry for the short responses, lately I havn't been able to think of anything to say.

Lucifer raised his pitchfork, leveling it exactly with Jack Klein's chest as he ran faster. Willing the electric current forming from his weapon forward, he released a harsh cackle, knowing that the boy was defenseless against the attack. "One down, three to go!" Lucifer yelled happily, images of a writhing and screaming Jack in his head. It brought him such pleasure to witness another soul in agony, especially if-

"Lucifer, you've done enough for tonight."

Satan's thoughts shattered when he heard that powerful, deep voice right in front of him. He had heard it so many times before, and each time he did it brought up so many memories.

"You are no longer accepted in my Heaven, Lucifer. Leave at once."

"But your way is WRONG! Sinners must be PUNISHED!"

"I will decide what I believe is true, Lucifer. Now go."

"You can't do this to me! I'll never- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Lucifer's shoulders still hurt from where his wings were ripped off, several eons ago. God's appearance in front of him only made it worse.

--

"Some things never change, do they, Lucifer?" God asked the fallen angel quietly as a true angel ran flew rapidly towards Jack Klein and Bailey Rivers.

Bailey, deciding against leaving Jack behind, turns to see him. Spotting another figure, she feels her stomach drop. Oh no...

Unless Jack was very, very mistake, that was a guy with a pitchfork. Except... he didn't look very much like a human at all. the young man was trying to decide exactly what that meant on an immediate level when he came to the conclusion that if he didn't move out of the way of that spiny weapon, it wasn't going to matter all that much either way.

He was in the process of forcing his feet to move when two other people appeared, literally out of nowhere. One of them was really, really hard to look at for any sustained length of time, and the other one he didn't want to see, because he was fairly certain those were wings, and just why the Hell had the circus decided to come into town today anyway?

"Uh, hello!" he calls to all three, not able to keep the hint of irritation out of his tone. "someone want to tell me what's going on here?" He was of a mind to just go home, but something told him that might not be the best idea.

"Jack..." Bailey mumbles sincerely, standing there quietly with her hands by her stomach. She was quickly starting to get a sick feeling in her stomach.

OOC: I don't have much time right now to give more then that as a repsonse.

As God and Satan began a very tense conversation, the angel ran to Jack. He looked the boy right in the eyes, and told him the exact truth: "The Lord and Satan are having an encounter. Come with me." Taking Jack and Bailey by the arms, the angel turned to God. "Jack Klein and Bailey Rivers are with me! I am taking them now!" Beginning to flap his wings wildly, the angel rose off the ground and was soon above the neighborhood, only getting higher. "Hang on, you two, and don't look down," he said, his speed growing as well. "Oh, and you may call me Je-" His introduction was cut short as Lucifer and God began to exchange blows. "My, my, aren't they moving quickly tonight..."

Jack was opening his mouth to protest... well... something, when he found himself suddenly very much without footing on the ground beneath him. Very beneath him, as it were.

Never one to obey instructions, Jack did indeed look down, and was struck by the feeling that no, it wasn't quite the same as being in an airplane when one was flying without the containment of a metal shell. He gulped, but otherwise wasn't all that afraid. Actually, unless the... angel (he supposed that was the best word) dropped them, he'd be fine.

"Jack..!" Bailey called out in fear. She couldn't believe what was happening in front of her. "Jack!" She called again, this time with slight excitement. Bailey looked at the ground, the buildings, and the two 'whimsical' beings becoming very small so fast that she started to get sick. "Oh, lord.." Bailey turned her head, but was able to control herself.

Soon, her vision was blurred and everything turned a foggy white, at least until her mind went black.
