Let me tell you a story, a story of adventure, of friendship, of courage and possibly of banana smoothies.

Pilot episode

Stone streets surrounded by large wooden buildings. The streets were empty tonight. That might have something to do with the chill. But there was one person who seemed unbothered by the cool night air. He wore a long black cloak, a hood shadowing his face from view. In one hand he held a playing card, in his other a banana smoothie. From the shadows behind him a small creature emerged. It looked almost like a cat but skinnier with far longer claws and no tail. The creature was completely black with the exception of its red eyes. It blended in well with the darkness. More creatures began emerging from the shadows. The hooded man brought the smoothie up to his lips and took a sip. His lips parted from the straw and he stood perfectly still for a moment, just a moment. The hand with the playing card came straight up to his face then shot out till his arm was straight with a single dramatic motions. "Children of darkness! Free this world of its exoskeleton! Allow us to pass freely though it, feasting on the inhabitants as we wish along the way..." For a moment the creatures did nothing. Then they took off, going from zero to holy shit! in less than a second. Then began smashing up the town and people came running from their houses in fear. The man in the cloak let out a loud, maniacal laugh as the chaos ensued. "Yes! Let this world perish, it will fall like all the others before it!" He began to raise both of his hands in the air dramatically, dropping his smoothie along the way. The figure looked down at the split smoothie. Suddenly the deep, evil voice was replaced with what sounded almost like a frustrated teenager. "God damnit. Hey! Minions! Could you get me a new smoothie if you pass the stand from earlier? Thanks!"
[Scene cuts out. Screen fade in again.]
A man around the age of twenty with spiked blonde hair and mismatched clothing that consisted of oddly placed belts and chains ran from some of the small black creatures, a large sword in one hand and a key in the other. "Damn Kyte. How come I didn't notice them sooner?" He muttered under his breath as he continued running. The city had an interesting but complex system of pathways that could confuse you even if you lived there your whole life. This man obviously knew where he was going though, he had some sort of purpose in his eyes. One of the creatures, which he had called Kyte earlier, appeared in front of him and tried to pounce. It was interrupted by the large sword slashing it perfectly down the middle from head to toe with ease. The creature seem to fountain out a black liquid for a moment before its body began dissolving. The man continued running, muttering something to the effect of "Finally" He slowed down, apparently making it to his destination. It was what looked like some sort of decorative pavement with no real use to it but in the center there was a small key hole. The man fell to his knees and stuffed the key into the hole as quickly as possible. He turned the key quickly and then then the pavement disappeared but the man stayed floating there. He looked back at the creatures and smirked as he tore off what looked to be almost twenty different necklaces and tossed them into a hole then stood back up. "Come get me."
[Scene fades out then shows a chibified picture of the man in the black cloak crying over his spilled smoothie. Narrator voice "We'll be right back after this quick commercial break. Stay tuned to meet our heroes!"]

Explanation:

There are thousands upon thousands of dimensions beyond our own. Each dimension follows its own universal laws and is created its own way. They were like experiments for the gods, if they just this one little thing then how might the world turn out. The experiment is now over and the gods have long left but now a new force arises known as the Kyte. The Kyte used to be harmless denizens from their home world Kyte but recently a group of people wanted to bridge the gaps between the worlds have released the Kyte from their cage. The Kyte are the only beings capable of destroying the walls between dimensions. They are also only capapbel of being harmed through the power of these special necklaces.

The necklaces are our heroes source of power. They each have a weapon that corresponds with them. They store these weapons in 'hammerspace' or the void or basically an empty world until our heroes call for them (Not literally, that'd just make our heroes look like idiots) and then the weapons are summoned and placed in the heroes hands. These necklaces also do various other things. They give the heroes basic physical upgrades, allowing them to defy laws of gravity and allow our heroes access to certain abilities.

This necklaces feed off the essence of the Kyte. As they continue to feed they grow in power, allowing the current owner of them to further the physical bonuses and gain access to new powers. The necklaces are a silver chain, with a pendant that looks like the weapon it corresponds with. This knowledge is currently unknown to our heroes.

To those of us joining from the beginning we will be starting on the world of Aestris, a steampunk world with minimal electronic technology. We'll start in the town of Cren, a large town surrounded by grassland, the buildings in the town have a gear design thats purely for aesthetics. There's a clocktower not to far from town that's supposedly haunted.

There will be a OOC thread with a list of worlds and another so we can summarize our story for newcomers eventually but they aren't really required yet.

Toggle Rules

1.Obey all rules and for the most part what I (or Codemaster23) says goes.
2.Posting. I expect an average post of at least two paragraphs. I'm usually very lenient on this as long as people are willing to improve. Of course if you have gone through an American elementary school you need to have correct grammar for the most part. We learn this stuff in 4th grade. If your incapable you need a new hobby.
3. This RP will be a little more mature than most. Still no cybering. But expect some crude humor, vulgar language, descriptive violence and some sensual scenes. Again no cybering. But some people are gonna cut it really close.
4. Obviously violence will be a necessity at some point in the RP. Romance is also encouraged but no love at first sight. Relationships take time.
5. This is a story driven RP. If your just wanting to screw around and kill shit then this is not the place for you.
6. I don't necessarily expect daily posts as there are days where I can't post but give us warning and post often enough that you don't hold everyone else back.
7.You only get one warning. We should not have to deal with your lack of ability to follow the rules.
8. No godmodding. Some times story updates may have me godmodding but I won't like take complete control and have your character speak or anything. Might just be something like "The party spent the night celebrating and woke up in the morning, most with huge hangovers." Although story updates will be far longer.
9. Remember some comic relief. This is an RP. We don't need to be all *Very serious face!* On the same note remember rule #5. It won't be all fun and games either.
10. Expect character conflict! We will not all be great friends. Don't take any rude remarks directed at your character personally.
11.I will make an exception to rule #8 in case someone disappears but give them twenty four hours and check the OOC thread.
12.Have as many characters as you can handle. Side note: I may ask one of you guys to do updates from your character's point of view, kind of like the 'Last time on...' and they have some character describe whats going on. Normally Nii will be doing updates.

The sun reflected off the grass in the meadow almost creating a glittery affect from afar. In the middle of the plain sat a clocktower, a young blue haired kid sitting at the base. Not too far away sits a city made of gears. A young red headed girl sat in a classroom, not too far a young man unpacked boxes from an oldies automobile. On the other side of the city was the entertainment district and in a small shop a girl 'read the palms' of customers for a small price. The day seemed normal enough. That's when back at the clocktower the several small necklaces rained down. The blue haired kid caught on and looked at it. They were just basic silver necklaces, each with a unique pendant. He stuffed the one in his pocket, stood up and started walking away. About an hour later a trader would pick up the necklaces and they'd began circulating through the city.

The hooded figure sat atop the gear shaped archway watching the clocktower while sipping a smoothie. "So, that's where it is. I wonder why the Kyte couldn't sniff it out.." A small black shadow-cat-like creature with 4 inch thick claws arose from the solid metal next toe the figure. "Well? Why couldn't you?" The sound of the straw sucking up air was heard and the figure sighed. "Out again. Time for another. He jumped off the archway and floated down to the ground. The city seemed busy, of course the city was always busy, that's how cities worked. The figure loved the city, so much more destruction. He walked off towards the entertainment district.

“I can’t believe you did that,” Ami’s friend said, as they walked down the street, away from the school. “When I told you to kick the ball towards the back of Joseph Sinclair’s head… you weren’t actually supposed to do it. He has no problem with hitting girls ya know?”

Ami smiled contently with her mischief for the day. “Eh, I know,” she said, and held her head up with some confidence, “but I run faster than Joseph Sinclair.”

Her friend shook her light blonde hair, sighing. “To think you work at a animal shelter, helping poor creatures in pain, when in fact you’re the one causing pain to others.”

“That’s ridiculous!... I would never hurt an animal… Unless that animal was Joseph Sinclair… And you’re the one who dared me to in the first place, so don’t act all innocent.”

Her friend sighed even louder.

Ami could feel the light thumping against her chest, as the necklace she had just recently bought off of a man selling them on the street bounced against it on its chain. There was something that she had been drawn to about it. That blue gem in the middle reminded her of the ocean… and went great with her long red hair. She picked up the pendant and examined it. It was pretty clever too, putting the gem in the hurricane’s eye. As she was looking at it, she was startled by a tap on her shoulder. She looked up, to meet the familiar eyes of a freckled-faced and awkward boy, who she happened to work alongside with at the animal shelter.

“Hey Bat,” she said to him, a grin on her face. What sane parent would name their kid Bat after all? “Where are you going?”

“Towards your school,” he told her, and pointed in the direction. “Messenger came into the shelter about an abandoned nest of baby birds someone wanted us to pick up… I was trying to catch you by the way. The boss wanted you to go down towards the entertainment district, close to where you live… Seems there have been some reports about a strange cat running around… Might have rabies. You should go look.”

Ami grimaced. “You get the cute baby birds and I get a cat with rabies! Wow… I hope I don’t die. If I do, I’m suing.”

“Alright,” he waved at her as he started walking again, “tell the boss when you check it out alright?!”

Ami blew a puff of air out of her mouth, her bangs sweeping to the side as she did so. “Fine…”

She walked towards the entertainment district with her friend by her side until they had to part ways. The whole while she kept her eyes out for a “strange cat,” even though she really didn’t know what she was looking for to begin with. Finally, she reached the sprawling and colorful part of town, filled with the many venders and merchants of Cren. She walked through the alleyways between the buildings, asked around at the shops. Apparently not as many people had seen this strange animal as Bat thought.

“Here kitty kitty,” she called half-heartedly, and clapped her hands together occasionally.

Ariella was preparing herself a pot of tea in the kitchen when she heard the bell on the door in the other room ring. "Oh, a customer. It's okay mom, I'll get this one."

"Alright, honey. I'll finish the tea. One sugar or two?"

"Two please." Ariella smiled at her mom over he shoulder, making her way into the other room where the shop was set up. She saw a strange looking, old man, who appeared to be a merchant or something of sorts, as he had lots of trinkets hanging off his multi-compartment coat. "Oh, hello there.. how may I help you today?" Ariella asked, her usual bubbly personality shining through.

"I would like a fortune, please.." the man said, nearly struggling. Ariella figured he must have been sickly, or something. "Very well," she smiled. "will it be cards, or your palm? Or perhaps the magic mirror?"

"What do you recommend?"

"People love the mirror, and it tends to be most reliable for myself, personally." she wasn't trying to run a scam on the man; her words were genuine. For whatever reason, she did tend to have the best luck receiving messages using the "magic" mirror.

"Alright, magic mirror it is" the old man smiled. Ariella couldn't help but notice his smile was rather bright and infectious. In fact, she caught herself smiling too in reaction. She sat down at the small, scarf-covered table with several little magical trinkets on it. In the center was a flat circular piece of glass, bordered by silver embedded with multicolored jewels. The old man sat in a seat directly across from her. Ariella went to work, closing her eyes and gently sweeping her finger across the surface of the glass. She began to feel warm and tingly.. that was always how it started. Then, the images began flashing through her mind. She effortlessly made mental note of each image that flashed across her brain. "I see... a special item. An item of great value.. it has recently come into your possession." she spoke, her eyes still closed and her thoughts still focused on the images. The old man smiled and nodded to himself. "This item will be of great importance to someone. I see silver.. and, eyes.." Ariella was starting to get rather disturbed by the images, her gut telling her something wasn't exactly "right" about them. She had to stop..

"I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me. Um, it's okay, you don't have to pay me.. I wish I could have given you a better fortune but, yeah.. I think the universe's vibrations are a little "off" today.."

"Oh, please my young girl.. it's quite alright. I figure these days my future does not hold much except perhaps a timely death.. all my friends and family are gone, you see." the old man described. Ariella couldn't help but realize how innocent this man seemed, even though he was likely a scammer on the streets in the city outside. She was smiling again. Please, I insist you take this for your troubles.." and there it was, dangling there from the man's gnarled, wrinkly fingers.. the exact item she had seen in the images. It was a silver eye necklace; the pupil in the center was genuine sapphire, she could plainly tell. It must have been worth a fortune.. a much better fortune than she had supplied the man with, that was for damn sure.

"Oh, I don't think I can ta-" "Please, I insist. As I said, my days are numbered. If anything, it will bring this old man pleasure to see such a bright and priceless bauble in the hands of a beautiful young girl such as yourself." he was smiling big at her. "W-well .... alright, I suppose..." she reached out and hesitantly took the necklace from the man's hand. "Thank you, very much, sir. You are most kind.."

"Oh no, it is I who should be thanking you for the lovely fortune. I will see you around dear." the old man stood up, smiling big one last time at Ariella before departing out the door, and merging into the crowd of people who flowed by the shop windows on the sidewalks outside. Ariella looked down to the necklace in her palm and studied it for a moment. She walked back into the kitchen, not taking her eyes from the necklace. "Hey mom.. you'll never believe what just happened...."

Ciel had just finished helping a family move into their new house. The closed the trunk of the car which had the boxes in it once the last one was out and inside the house. He shook hands with the man of the house and smiled to him. He then received his payment for his serviced and watched the happy family go back into the house. He envied them a little, but he wasn't planning on having a family anytime soon, it wasn't in the cards. Ciel then started to walk away, going to probably head to the local watering hole to relax since he was done for the day. He then saw a stand with all sorts of necklaces. The sun had it them just right to blind him for a moment. He grumbled and then decided to take a look like he was already looking at them. He saw one that caught his eye and Ciel smiled.

"I bet little Abby would love this." He said to himself. Abby was his niece and she was into girly stuff like jewelery. He looked at it as he picked up the necklace and it was nice looking. It was two little girls it seemed, holding hands and he could tell one was close to an angel and the other a demon. He wondered why it wasn't two separate necklaces, but he decided to buy it. Ciel used most of the money he just got since the rent wasn't due for a while and so he could pay it off later. He then started to walk off again, wondering what he was gonna get once he sat down and got a chance to relax.

Where the hell did he go? Drevor had just seen a rather suspicious hooded man jump off the archway of the town and somehow survive. He'd managed to chase him for a sort period but after stopping for what seemed to be a fruit smoothie the man had disappeared. Now, not only had Drevor lost his target but he'd lost himself too. He spent most of his time outside of town, he didn't know his way around the entertainment district. He barely knew the way out of his house. "Drev! My mon." The voice had a largely noticeable islander accent and as Drevor turned he saw a lightly tanned man with dreadlocks and more gold hanging off him than the statue of an Incan God approaching. "What'cha doin' in dis part of town?"

Drevor shook his head. He never expected to run into his 'friend' out in the real world. He was used to the occasional small dealing (his friend's a smuggler). "Hey Jojo. Have you seen a suspicious looking hooded guy around here?"

The islander laughed. "We see sometin' like dat almost everday 'round here.Sorry I can't help mon, but can I interest you in a bottle of Myst?"

Drevor hesitated, Myst was illegal because it contained more alcohol than was legal in the city. It's hard for a person to get their hands on so it was a very tempting offer. "Uhg, maybe later. Gotta go. He ran down the street looking for anything, anyone familiar.

***

Mmmm banana. Friet was in bliss as he walked the streets of the entertainment district sucking on his smoothie. He knew the kid was following him, he also knew the kid had a necklace. The necklace was the real issue. He watched the kid search for him with a smirk. The kid was following him while he was following the kid. Ironic in a way. The card flew out of his sleeve into his card at high speeds. "Hey! Drev was it?" The card suddenly grew and the kid turned around just in time to see the now massive card smash into his face. The kid flew to the side with enough force to crash through a shops wall. Friets slowly stepped through the hole in the wall and looked over at a blonde girl who seemed to be talking to what Friet had to assume was her mother. "Sorry about the wall, I promise I'll fix it." Then he saw a necklace in her hand as well. "Well well well, you guys are making this really easy for me. Now where the hell are the others?" He sipped from his smoothie as another small card entered his right hand.

"What's that, honey?" her mother asked as Ariella walked into the kitchen, holding the necklace outstretched. "There was this strange man who just came in for a fortune ... he gave me this.."

"Hm, quite a unique trinket isn't it?"

"It is, but .. it gives me bad vibes.. I feel like that old man might have just put me in a position of undesired responsibility in giving this to me..

"Oh please, it's just a necklace. How much responsibility could he be placing in your hands, other than making sure you don't lose it?"

"I dont know, I just have a bad feeling about it!" indeed Ariella was experiencing some very negative energy deep within her stomach. And it got even worse, almost crushing her intestines when she shouted "MOM LOOK OUT!!" Her mother just barely dove out of the way in time to miss a blue-haired boy crashing through the brick wall and flying into the kitchen. A tall man in a black cloak that covered the entirety of his being followed.

"Well well well, you guys are making this really easy for me. Now where the hell are the others?"

Ariella was in shock, she stood a moment with her mouth agape, before rushing over to make sure the boy was alright. She looked up at the cloaked man. "It's ... it's you. You're the one who's been poking around in my dreams lately..!! I knew you would come." She also knew it was for the necklace, but she refused to say it. "If you want this, you're gonna have to fight for it" Ariella stood her ground. Her mother suddenly got extremely alert and worried. "ARIELLA!!! What are you doing!??!"

"It's okay, mom. Run to safety ... I'm meant to do this. I'll explain later if there's time. I'm.. sorry." Her mother couldn't do anything but barely let out a half a nod, and ran off into another room of the house/shop. "Very well. Let's see what you've got. We're more powerful in numbers anyway." She deviously smiled at the cloaked man, chaining the necklace around her neck and feeling its power instantly surge through her. Suddenly (and almost without any particular focus or effort) several of the broken bricks from where the boy crashed through the wall levitated to Ariella's side, ready to be hurled at the man. "Whoa" she thought to herself, only half surprised as she had seen most of this coming in precognitive dreams. "My telekinesis is so much stronger now.."

Jeph smirked; his job was almost complete. Gliding through the dark alleys, with his tentacles smashing and lifting every conceivable object that a necklace could be hidden under, he heard the words of his accomplice glide through the air. Though, they were rather distorted, and choppy, and they didn't form a complete sentence to him. None of that mattered, however, as he had a singular purpose right now: Find the necklaces, so that he could witness his former home enshrouded in darkness, and he could resume his rightful place as ruler. "Sorry...wall....easy...others?" Jeph chose that moment to glide up to the hole punched in the wall of an inocuous building. Light spilled out of it, and caused his tentacles to retract into his shadow, much to his chagrin. "Figures," Jeph muttered, picking his way through the hole and to Friet's side. "They're in the one building with lights on during the day in this part of town." He shook his head, and moved into Friet's shadow. This small action allowed his tentacles to re-form, though they were rather thin and weak-looking.

Memories snapped into jeph's mind; the wars he'd fought in to attain royal status, his best friend turning against him, the horrific, yet legal, deeds commited against him, and the horrific, yet illegal, deeds he'd done to his former friend. It was a dark, moonless night: Jeph always preferred to take walks on these nights, as his shade-arms were at their strongest. A series of blocked paths and car accidents made him turn back to his house, out in the center of a thick, heavily-shaded forest. The world was Baneolietta, and he was one of the few surviving Shadowmancers left in the Imperial Army.

Upon his return, he noticed first the bedroom light, which normally was left off to allow Jeph a light-free zone, was turned on. Second, two shadows played against the curtains, those of his best friend, and his wife. When he had left to fight in the last war of the darkness, he charged his aristocratic friend to take care of his wife and daughter. Unthinkingly, he never repealed the charge, and thus, there he was, "taking care" of his wife. As he didn't repeal, the entire affair was legal.

Jeph killed three people that night; his former wife, Janet, his daughter Meryl, and his betrayer, Chuck Mitchinson. He was sentenced to five thousand years in a prison-realm composed of light, with no shadows being cast, thus no power. Four hundred years later, the new Grand Imperial Priest was found dead in his office, with a script-written notice on the wall behind him. "I've recently made the decision that my sentence has been reduced for good behavior. I notice that, even with review of my case, you left me locked in the hell; you deserve the same fate I gave to Chuck 400 years ago. I suggest you all watch the shadows, as it could be something you never wanted to see again. -Jeph"

Jeph's smirk widened, and he lowered his inky-black gaze on the most threatening target, a young girl with bricks hovering near her. "Young lady," Jeph reprimanded, his voice as cold and hard as steel. "I would recommend you put the bricks down, and just hand over the necklace. You don't want to do anything rash now, do you?" Jeph broke out in a bone-chilling cackle after he finished saying that, began to push himself off the ground with some of his unoccupied tentacles.

There was some noise coming from the other end of the entertainment district, Ami could hear it as she searched the streets. She ignored it at first, but the commotion grew louder over time... and she couldn't help but be curious.

"Excuse me..." she mumbled, as she passed through some people on the street, some unsuspecting, others who were also wondering what was going on. She was kind of lost in the crowd when she heard a quiet shuffling beside her. She looked down on the ground to see a large black cat take off in between the legs of bystanders and pedestrians, somehow going unnoticed by them. There was something strange about it, it didn't seem feral. More wild, and its paws and claws were huge. It must have been the one she was supposed to be looking for. She took off after it, her red-hair bouncing behind her as she navigated through the crowds. It rounded a corner and went through an alleyway between two buildings, where there were less people and Ami could get a look at it. It didn't exactly resemble a cat at all. She ran faster, now that she had no one standing in her way. But then when it reached the end of the alley, where it opened back up onto another street, Ami could no longer find it when she emerged. All she could see were a couple of bystanders, wandering around like a flock of geese. Gawking and sqwaking as they stared at a psychic's shop... that had a large smoking hole blown into the side of it. There was a tall man with a black cape hovering at its entrance, sipping on... a smoothie?

Ami shook her head to make sure she had seen it right. But he must have been a bully, whoever he was... just like that stupid Joseph Sinclair. "Hey!" She shouted, and kicked a rock, propelling it with force straight towards the back of the man's head. "Don't you see you're causing a ruckus here! Are you such a petty theif that you even have to target a psychic shop!?" Then, Ami pondered if they were such good psychics, then how come they hadn't seem that coming? She shook her head. Nevermind, this was no time to be disrespecting the victims. It was just then that she noticed a second man... this one... something wasn't quite right with him...

"Maybe I should have stayed out of it," Ami thought, a little too late.

Ariella heard a new voice; one that was cold, to the point of being bone-chilling. She saw a man raise up from behind the cloaked man who she had just realized had been sucking on a smoothie this whole time. From the angle he was at, she couldn't realize what was lifting him up, but in her mind she was catching glimpses of what looked like octopus.. no, octopus tentacles.. but painted all black. She felt very bad vibes from this man; she began to wonder if she was picking a fight she couldn't win. Suddenly, she heard a girl's voice call from somewhere across the other side of the wreckage. "Don't you see you're causing a ruckus here! Are you such a petty theif that you even have to target a psychic shop!?"

"What's that supposed to mean?!" she shouted back at the voice, unsure of who exactly she was talking to. "We run a well-respected establishment here!!" Ariella then though perhaps this wasn't the best time for bickering over her business. The man who had threatened her to put down the bricks had made her feel a little insecure about being so unfamiliar with her new-found powers, but despite that, she called yet more bricks to her side. She hoped she wouldn't have to act, but if she did, she would be ready.

Just then, an even more bone curdling laugh echoed throughout the area of the city, where people were now running rampant, while some where trying to catch a good view of the ruckus; sirens were now heard screeching throughout the entertainment district. Ariella looked around. "Who was that ??" she was puzzled. Suddenly, spatters of paint materialized next to the levitating man and the cloaked man, and what looked like a girl appeared, however, Ariella couldn't entirely tell, as she seemed to be phasing in and out of reality, covered by multicolored paints. This girl was just as similarly shadowy looking as her two male companions.

"Teeheehee!! What a silly little girl, she thinks she can already use the powers of the necklace and she's only had it barely 5 minutes!" Zemella rested her messy green-paint hand on Friet's shoulder, not even noticing the amount of ridiculously bright looking green paint she had gotten all over his black cloak. "My friends tell me you're going to lose this battle, girlie!" the neon-colored girl giggled. She then turned around to find another girl - must have been the one who tossed a rock at Jeph's head - who also had one of the necklaces. "Oooh! Oooh! Another one!! Friet look! This girl's got one too! Shall we SNAG it!?" Zemella was clearly eager to get into action, but she wanted time to play first.

It really wasn't hard for Ciel to see the commotion, it wasn't too far off and he would have heard it anyways. He wasn't thinking and put the necklace on, thinking it would be less likely to fall this way since he had just spent a pretty penny on it. He watched for a moment till he realized that the man in the cloak, even the other ones there must be after something to put a nice hole in the wall, and then stay there. He saw another man appear and then he could tell that he was trouble. He was clearly with the girl and the man in the cloak, so he could tell all three of them were bad news. Ciel got closer, not caring if he was noticed or not. They kept talking about necklaces over and over, why would they want one of those? They were just Jewelery after all, so what was so important about them? He then saw Ariella's necklace activate and the bricks come up. No way Ciel thought to himself as he watched this. He noticed her necklace was funny looking, and he looked down at the one on his neck.

Ciel decided to see if his was special too, it was worth a shot right? If not then he would back off, he wanted to help but there was no use in dieing if you couldn't at least put up a fight, that was his thinking. He touched it lightly and thought about it activating to bring him something to help, a power or a weapon or something. His necklace lit up and he almost jumped but realized that it wouldn't do anything and so there was no use. The light died down and he saw nothing. "The hell? Ciel mumbled to himself. He then heard fast footsteps, but they were light....like a child's. Then someone jumped on his back and giggled. "hai~!" Said the little girl who was holding onto his neck now, with great strength that it was almost choking him. He felt the presence of another child next to him and then saw it was a girl that looked like the one on his back, but she looked like the opposite. "Sorry for my sister." The girl said. "I'm Nii!" Said the girl on his back and slid off to go next to her sister. "And I'm Kira." The darker girl said. One was clearly representing light, the other dark. He looked at the necklace and realized that they were the weapon it summoned. "what do you do? Ciel asked them. "we are your puppets!" Nii said, and then blue, almost clear lines, went from Nii and Kira to his hands. He then realized that when he twitched a finger, they did the same. He nodded and he moved them and ready to attack.

"Hey!" he yelled at the bad guys, trying to get their attention. "Its not fair if she gets all the fun!" he said. By 'getting all the fun' he meant that he didn't want it to be unfair and have them all against the others, they were out numbered after all. A fight wasn't what he was looking for today, he just wanted to relax, but he couldn't sit by and watch this happen.

"Everyone stop!!!" The sheer shock of those words cause everyone to hesitate a moment. Friet slowly looked over each and everyone of them, seeming to scan them, like he was looking into their souls. "Now" He started very calmly but in an oddly menacing way. "I'm low on smoothie again." A small black cat creature appeared from the ground again and Friet addressed it. "Go get me another smoothie." He turned back and looke over the group. "Now for the rest of you!"

***

Drevor immediately assumed the cloaked man was talking about the combatants but a moment later an army of the cat creatures came from the ground, a swarm like nothing he'd ever seen before. For every person in the city there was at least ten of these things. "W-w-w-w-w-w-w..." Drevor stuttered, stuck in pure and utter shock. He stared for a moment then finished his sentence "What the hell is going on here!?" Magic didn't exist, or so Drevor thought, he'd heard of savants but nothing like this. The cloaked dude had made a playing card expand and somehow made it sturdy enough to throw him through a brick wall. More importantly though, Drevor had somehow survived being thrown through a brick wall.

The cloaked figure slowly turned around to the blue haired boy laying on the floor. "Hm, how rude of me. I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Friet, destroyer of worlds and these are my companions. They'll also be part of the destroying worlds process." A small card flew from Friet's hand and hit right next to Drevor's face. Combat was back on and the small cat creatures suddenly went nuts, not just in the store but even the innocent bystanders were being ripped to shreds by their large claws. "You children are messing with something far beyond your comprehension. It is advised you just give us the necklaces and accept a painless death."

She tapped a slender finger onto the side of the face as she considered the situation. Tilting her head to the side, Cora smiled, her icy blue eyes twinkling as she observed everyone. She was not one to get her hands dirty unnecessarily. Let them fight it out, she thought. Besides, she imagined it would be an interesting fight considering how the younglings were beginning to discover their gifts and the extent of it. Crossing her arms across her chest, Cora stepped leaned against the wall and watched to see what would happen next. She tucked an errant strand of blond hair behind her ear and watched as Friet commanded everyone to stop first.

She really didn't mix with most of them for she saw no reason to. Her aim was simlpe; chaos. If they wanted to start a fight, Cora would take a back seat and enjoy it and maybe ofcourse prod alittle...just for fun ofcourse.

Ami blinked, then her face turned into a dark scowl, her eyes swelling with tears as chaos erupted around her. Destroy her world? Why? She wasn’t going to let this happen. She picked up rock after rock and began throwing them at the man called Friet.

“No way!” She yelled at him, clenching her fists. “I’m not going to let you destroy my world you psycho… Oh! And by the way, I wouldn’t drink another smoothie if I were you. They’re making you fat! You fat, fat, fat, fat, psycho pig!” She threw another rock in his direction. The necklace around her neck felt hot, and she didn’t notice the light blue glow coming from the gem in the center of it. There was a crackle in the air, like thunder.

She knew she was getting herself into something far bigger than she could comprehend, they didn’t have to tell her. But she wasn’t going to go down without a fight. “And you! Weird girl! What up with all that green stuff on you! Got a fungus or something! Gross. Ugh, you look so gross!” She also knew petty and snide remarks weren’t going to do her any good in this situation, but it sure made her feel better.

She picked up another rock and chucked it in their direction, but as soon as the rock left her hand, something took its place. There was a flash, like lightning, in the air in front of her and a dark red, wooden staff appeared in her hand. At the end of it, was a gem like the one at the center of her necklace.

"Wha..." she mumbled, as she stared at it for a moment. But this was no time to be dumbfounded. Even though she didn't know how to use it, it was with her for some reason. If the four of them worked together, they would certainly be able to stop them... maybe... or at least until someone bigger and badder showed up.

Ariella was rather impressed by the girl who was "insulting" her shop moments earlier; it seemed that she too had a necklace of special power, and had at that moment "learned" (not really) how to harness its power. As a storm seemed to conjure around her anger, a magical staff appeared in her hands in a flash of thunder. "Whoa.." She knew that they were all gifted, and that they would have to stand up, united, against these villains. "Well!! We have to do something!......." she shouted to the girl with the staff. She hurled her levitating bricks at the foes as best she could, but being so new to the power, she wasn't very accurate or powerful; the bricks sorta just lobbed over towards the shadow peoples' general direction. "Come onnnn... focus!!" Ariella closed her eyes and wished upon her necklace knowing now that it was the source of her power. Suddenly, the pupil of the eye necklace glowed and in a flash of purple light, a large scythe appeared in her hand. She looked up and down at it, observing the sinister beauty in the weapon. It seemed so expertly crafted, as if it were imbued with the essence of magic itself... as if it were.. indestructible. She also strangely enough felt a "voice" resonate from it, or an aura. It felt not only like a weapon but almost like a companion.

Ariella leaped into action with her new-found weapon, expertly sweeping it as if it were light as air and she had been practicing with it her whole life. She slashed multiple times at the air as a warning to the villains, then called more bricks to her side. "What should we do!?" she asked the girl with the staff. For now, the only clever thing she could think to do was surround the opponents in bricks, so she did just that. She levitated enough bricks and patterned them in a circle around them, swirling them around faster, and faster, eventually reaching dangerous speeds that would likely decently harm any of them who tried to escape outside the whirlwind of flying objects.

Ciel watched the others starting to develop their powers more and bring them forth. This wasn't just chance, or was it? No, not that the necklaces ended up here, but that they got them, probably. He watched as they started the fight, he knew this was gonna get messy. He saw all the shadow creatures coming up and attacking people. "Come on, lets help!" Nii said, almost shaking from excitement. Her sister just sighed and looked at Ciel, her look asking him just to begin. He noticed the others were going after the masters, but he had to help the other townspeople too. Ciel moved his arms and watched as Nii and Kira went after the monsters He made motions for attacking and their very powerful punches ripped the monsters apart. He realized that he was more like a guide for them, they were acting on their own, but he was having them attack and such. Nii seemed to like to cuddle with them, but then she hugged them to death.

Once he had cleared some of them out he turned his attention to Friet and the other bad guys. If they all just jumped into the fight at once, then it would get messy and they would get hurt if something went wrong. He didn't know how to approach this and he frustrated him greatly. He moved his arms to make Nii and Kira face the others. Kira then raised her hand and shot a bolt of darkness from her hand at the group of baddies. It wouldn't hurt greatly, but maybe he could piss one off and then they would go after him, giving them all some room.

Jeph's smirk grew even larger, as the events began to unfold. 'They don't seem to know who I am, or what I did. This "other worlds" deal is a pretty good trade from prison; I can be as nice or as twisted as I deem fit.' Jeph thought, his tentacles growing and shrinking in size as the bricks threw shadows across them. This failed to please him, however, and he reached into his left pocket, rooting around for a bit before removing a small, non-reflective lighter. "You know, maybe this is a bad time, but..." He adopted an evil grin as he said this, and reached again for his pocket, pulling out a single cigarette that he had found during his earlier search. "I could really go for one of these...things that you light up in your mouth." Jeph sighed, and popped the tube in his mouth, raising the lighter in one hand and flicking the top open. As he hit the striker, an inky-black substance began pouring out of the nozzle, flowing around him, before breaking into sections to block various light sources in the alley and in the shop. As the light lessened, his tentacles grew consistently, reaching an ultimate thickness almost equal to a tree's trunk, with spiked grippers at the end of each. He spat the cigarette at an overturned trashcan, and pushed himself a foot off of the ground with his tentacles.

He turned to each of the combatants in turn, before eventually settling on Cild. A broad, toothy grin broke out on his face, and his tentacles began writhing around him, alternately raising and slamming into the ground, chipping at some of the broken concrete that laid on the ground. "Ah, it seems we have another manipulator on our hands. Friet, Paint-girl, you two have fun; I want this one." Jeph flexed a tentacle, and intercepted the bolt of darkness. The resulting impact tore it off from the impact-zone up, but that didn't bother him; he knew that he would eventually grow it back, but it may take him a little while longer, as the rules between universes regarding his abilities changed slightly from one to the next. He began slithering (any other verb wouldn't do much justice towards his action: it was a slow slither, being facilitated solely with the remaining tentacles) towards Cild, and as he did so, he spoke. "Back when I was your age, you would have been enlisted right there on the spot for that. We had a war going on, one that I took a major part in. Because of that war, I was thrown in jail. Becasue I was thrown in jail, I was exposed to the very force I'm trying to destroy. Those necklaces are dangerous; if you give yours to me, I can give you powers beyond your comprehension, wealth beyond your wildest dreams... I can even give you the position as my right hand man in the coming darkness. All it takes is for you to hand over the necklace."

Re: [OOC] Clockwork Fantasies

Haha! I can't wait for this roleplay to start as well Breemee : )

Am going to work on my character now!

Re: [OOC] Clockwork Fantasies

Sorry for the slow start. Busy on Tuesdays.
So I'll work on that first post tomorrow after school. Thanks for the patience.

Re: [OOC] Clockwork Fantasies

Woohoo Aslin :D, me and you will get to be in two dimensional RPs together XP. And can't wait for this one to start by the way! I'm guessing the story will begin with our heroes stumbling across their necklaces?

Re: [OOC] Clockwork Fantasies

I'm so sorry! I'll create a character tonight!

Re: [OOC] Clockwork Fantasies

I'm not sure how I plan on doing season 2 but there will be a season 2. The idea is to make it very anime like. That is how Clockwork started for me.

Re: [OOC] Clockwork Fantasies

Cool! Question, since at the beginning of this RP you have a Season One, are you planning on doing another RP about it when this one reaches a conclusion Image ? Because that would be cool too XD, so it would actually be more like an anime

Re: [OOC] Clockwork Fantasies

Yay for villains!

Also I'll either be starting this tomorrow or late tonight depending on when I get home.

Re: [OOC] Clockwork Fantasies

This sounds interesting! I shall work on a villainous character : )

Re: [OOC] Clockwork Fantasies

Submitted my character! :D The first time I forgot to add a name so I had to abandon it, so just ignore that :), the second one with the name is okie dokie to go though XP

Re: [OOC] Clockwork Fantasies

Lol Glad to have you Breemee. There's still plenty of room for heroes so go ahead.

Re: [OOC] Clockwork Fantasies

Oooh, I love this idea! And all your rules :D! Dimensional RPs are my thing... I really shouldn't join another RP hmmm... but can I create a hero for this one? Promise to post frequently ^^! Woop, I'll get to making a character sheet soon.

Re: [OOC] Clockwork Fantasies

Awesome, I'm getting back to work on it now but its good to know that just that small description interested somebody.

Re: [OOC] Clockwork Fantasies

This idea looks awesome (even though you haven't developed it yet haha) but I'm totally in for joining once you get things going :)

[OOC] Clockwork Fantasies
