MENTALITY
Personality: A complex, if not divided man, Valentine is an enigma. Utterly ruthless in his actions, bordering on being an omnicidal maniac. He is very manipulative of those around him, and often uses those who he commands as pawns. He genuinely believes in the betterment of humanity, but he is of the opinion that the ends justify the means – whatever those means may be. However, his goals are slowly being corrupted by his growing insanity, and is beginning to desire only personal power in addition to his goals. He works with the Black Knights as Zero, and with the Crimson Rose as Valentine Arbites, but he himself may not know where his loyalties lie.
Quirks: Hates being called ‘Val’.
Virtue/Creed: “Righteousness and innocence have no worth in this war. The only thing of any relevance is power. And it is power we shall have, ladies gentlemen.”
Motivation: Unknown.
Fears: Failure is what he fears the most, and C.C.’s death.
Goal: Unknown; however, his short-term goal seems to be to stop the Britannian Empire from taking over Japan, but he almost certainly has a long-term goal.
Likes: The thrill of battle, and being alone in a quiet place to think. Being around C.C. as well – not that he’d ever admit it.
Dislikes: Fools, civilians, ignorant people, the weak, pacifists, those who believe themselves to be better than him… really, a massive list.
Strengths: A master Knightmare pilot, on the level of Kallen Kozuki and Suzaku Kururugi. A decently skilled tactician, easily able to outsmart most Britannian commanders, although certainly not on the level of Lelouch or Schneizel.
Weaknesses: When in combat, extremely overconfident, and tends to overly rely on logic; an opponent with an unpredictable combat style would have little trouble beating him. With regards to his personality… where to start? Ruthlessness, not caring about those around him, being obsessively in love with C.C., having mental breakdowns if he's defeated, possessing a Messiah Complex, and occasionally getting delusions of being a god. As an introduction. He is a deeply mentally unstable to say the least.

Weapons: Its primary armament is its pair of large-scale Hadron Cannons, fitted in the shoulders. However, as these are ineffective in Knightmare-to-Knightmare combat, it has also had its left arm replaced with a Radiant Wave Surger of similar design to that seen on the Guren, including the Slash Harken-like launching feature, although it lacks the ranged ability of the Guren’s weapon. Its right hand has the five miniature Slash Harken ‘fingers’, and it also normally holds a Knightmare-issue assault rifle one handed in its right hand. Its primary disadvantage is its lack of MVS-type weapons, rendering it at a disadvantage to high-speed close-combat units.
Technology: A five-feathered Energy Wing system; effect is that it is able to block most projectiles (even up to low-powered Hadron Cannon blasts), allowing it to act as an improvised shield in close combat if moved correctly. Also fitted with a Druid System ,and a Gefjun Disturber to focus its Hadron Cannons, much like the original Gawain. Not fitted with Landspinners.
