0 · 475 views · located in Places

a character in “Corrupted Soil”, as played by Epik_B0mber

Groups

The Kydolian race; first to all.

Description

Name: Joel
Age: ~3000
Sex: Male
Race: Kydolian
Height: ~6'
Physical Description: Joel is once again the visual of a average Kydol. He has two eyes that have lizard-like pupils. He also has a crooked mouth in which is, well, always crooked. Really weird to explain.
Stuff he do: Joel, as previously said, is a Kydolian mage. Brief history flash: The Kydols have their own 'magic'; it can only be described that way in human terms. He also has a special ability of shape shifting; and I don't mean like he can become a ChAiR or something, but he can reconstruct his face and pretend to be someone else.
Image
Position: Protagonist to the main story
Relation: Joey's brother

Backround: Joel was born on the Kydolian home planet, once again with no parents.

So begins...

Waking up the next morning, the gang got together to talk whilst eating breakfast.
Felix came from upstairs wearing a different uniform than he usually did. He must have been inspired.
Image
"Oh, uh, nice- uniform?" Joey stuttered.
"Oh, thanks Joey! I took inspiration from The Illuminator!" Felix replied.
"Mmm, yes, of course.." Joey sarcastically stated.
Felix sat down and began digging in to the eggs that were made.
"Listen, I gotta run an errand real quick; some of my friends have been making a fuss." Joey said.
"Okay!" Felix agreed.

Joey left an hour later, and the crew waved him away as he traveled.
"Bye Joey!!!" Felix yelled.
It was just Connor and Felix again, and Connor felt uneasy as a pair of eyes melted into the back of his head. It was probably just him, because it didn't seem that anyone was there. He shrugged and continued down to the house with Felix. They heard someone clear their throat behind them, and turned to see Joey standing there looking extremely invigorated.
"Actually- y'know, it isn't exactly my problem; I'm staying!"
"Uh, alright- cool! Let's go back to the house, I want to try my new helmet!" Felix said with a big smile on his face.
The trio descended down the hill, when suddenly Connor's prophecy came true, and a squad of armed men ambushed them!
"DON'T MOVE FELIX!" shouted the masked men, pointing their weapons at him. Felix looked on at one who had his helmet on, and let out an angry groan, but continued to look on in fear. He looked over their uniforms, and realized who they were.
"BLASTRONAUTS!!" he screamed. This wasn't good, since he was sworn enemies with the organization now.
Image
"Prepare to die, Felix! This is what you get for killing Commander!" The Blastronauts nudged them towards the cliff that they were standing on. They were cornered to the same place that Felix had seen the Illuminator, and they looked down at the never ending valley.
"Any last words, traitor?" asked one of the Blastronauts.
"Deh- uh- uhm- ah-- nn" Felix stuttered. He was wordless as he looked around for anything to escape from certain death.
Then, the wind kicked up from behind, and Connor and Felix turned to see what it is. They turned back around when they heard t he screams of the men. There stood Joey, ripping the head off one, and slashing the upper torso off the other with his tail. Felix's hat fell off the dismembered man and fell into the valley.
"The hell?" Felix questioned.
"JOEY!"
Joey looked up with a blank stare.
"Ugh, Derth didn't want them to kill me! They were turned against us by FORCE! They were fine! Why'd you do that!"
"You really believe that? They were about to push you off a cliff! It doesn't matter, come here with me."
"What?" Felix questioned
Joey leaped backwards off the cliff into the abyss. Connor and Felix looked down in disbelief. They looked back at the area around, which was now splattered with guts and blood.
"..Something is definitely wrong with Joey." Connor observed.
Image

Falling into the abyss, the trio landed hard on a strange surface. It was much lighter than it should have been in a valley, and that was when they noticed they had travelled through a portal of sorts, which was weird to look at.
"Make yourselves comfortable. I'll be back." Joey whispered, holding a finger to his non-existent mouth. Actually wait, looking harder, there seemed to be an outlined of a grin on his face. Felix looked on bewildered by the sight, never recalling such before. Joey darted out into an open area, and Felix and Connor perched up behind a rock.
A transport ship floating near them; a group of people standing on the ground, handling what seemed to be Bleeps; again. Felix spotted his hat out on one of the soldiers, and almost jumped out to get it. Connor put his hand on Felix, sensing his anger.
"Hey, cool hat!" said one of the men from afar.
"Thanks man! I just got it from over there." the other man said, pointing near where the two were hiding.
Image Then, Joey walked into plain view, and all the soldiers froze. Felix and Connor looked on in confusion, and to see what would happen next.
"Prepare yourselves." Joey muttered.
A large man came from behind the group,
"INTRUDER! FIRE ON HIM!" he bellowed.
The firefight began, and as before Joey ripped through the crowds. Felix looked hard at him through the flying corpses, and noticed how his eyes and antennaes had turned- green? Infact, his antennas had drooped over into sharp triangles, which was strange. They watched as the green emitted from his hands as well, which seemed to control the environment. He would put his hands out at someone and something bad would happen.
Image They watched as he ripped one man in half, or crushed another's skull. Soon, Joey would take the ship down, as he ripped it to shreds merely by hand motions.
KARBOOM!!!
Felix's helmet dropped near him, and he put it on.
Bodies lie everywhere, and the large man sat cowering in a corner.
"Are you ready to die?" Joey said in a crooked voice. It became too obvious to the two that this couldn't've been Joey.
"P-Please don't kill me!" the man said in a much squeakier voice than before.
Joey lifted him into the air and pinned him on the top of a rock, leaving him there to fend for himself.
Joey walked back over to the rock, wiping his bloody hands off. Suddenly, a bright yellow portal opened behind him; sort of in the shape of a pentagon and a star...
It suddenly sucked everyone in, and the three screamed as they fell through void.
"Ah shit!" Joey yelped as he fell into a very small cage. Looking around, it seemed they were in a bay of some ship of sorts; but no ship of Earth..
Image
Derth laughed,
"AHA! You have fallen directly into my tra-"
CRACK!
Joey broke the small box into pieces, and forced open the other two that had Felix and Connor stuck in them.
"Wh- Ah?" Derth stuttered, fleeing from the scene.
"See you shits later, I'm out!" Joey said, leaving with a big smile on his face.
That definitely wasn't Joey, Felix thought.
He just smiled.

Joey jumped through to an old facility. Across the room, Joey looked at him.
"Joel, you ass." Joey said.
Joey laughed, as he shifted into his true form.
"Your friends are completely idiotic!" Joel said, snickering.
"What did you do to them?" Joey said with anger in his eyes.
"Oh don't worry, they're safe-- in space!" Joel laughed hard.
"It's time to end this, brother." Joey said in a deep tone.
"Oh, ruining the reunion party already?" Joel said, as the green came to his limbs.
Image

Felix shot off a few rounds at Derth, who was jumping behind multiple crates, firing back. Felix looked around, and noticed a conspicuous looking lever. He looked around and realized one of the walls in this hangar was no wall, it was a gate.
"I have a good idea, but it'll be risky!" Felix shouted, running over.
"What??" Connor asked, not hearing him.
Felix snatched the lever and pulled down on it hard. Red lights and loud sounds blared in the room, as a large dust cloud emitted from the door.
PSSHH!
"What?!" Derth said, nearly infront of it.
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?" he screamed.
The large gate began opening slowly, as it began sucking everything in to it.
They were definitely in space, and Felix panicked. Connor nearly flew away, but grabbed onto a small notch in the ground. Felix held on tight to the lever, which stayed in its place. Derth had the most trouble, having to run back and doge crate after crate.
"FEEEELIIIIIXXX!!" screamed Derth.
"HANG ON CONNOR!!"
"YOU WON'T GET AWAY WITH THIS!" Derth screamed.
Felix pulled out a special gun from his back. The void nearly sucked it out of his hand, but he managed to hold tight.
"Go to hell."
From Felix's gone came a large rotund grenade. It hit Derth square in the chest, flinging him from his stance on the ground. Nearly in space, he screamed his final words.
"FELIX YOU SON OF A-"
Image
KABLOOOOOSFH!!
Felix pushed hard on the lever, which reversed its direction. The doors shut and Connor sat there catching their breath.
"Oh- Felix- Shit! Felix!" Connor ran over to Felix's unconscious body.

"You always had to be good, Joey!" Joel said, slashing his tail at Joey.
"Likewise, you always had to be bad!" Joey said back, clawing at Joel's face.
"I chose my path; you're the one at fault!" Joel yelled, attempting to trip Joey. Joey gave him a solid blow to the face, knocking him out. Joey stood on Joel, claiming dominance.
"Stop this, Joel. Your days of cruelty are over."
Suddenly, a portal opened up, (again again again) flinging Felix and Connor onto the hard concrete floor.
Joey looked on at Felix's wounds.
"Felix! What the hell happened to you guys?" he asked.
"Well, it all went down *COUGH* --like this.."

"And that's what happened" Felix finished, all sitting at home.
Joey got up from the table and went to work on something, Connor sat by the door sharpening blades, and Joel sat in the corner rethinking life. Hopefully, this new formed gang could get some more good things done.

MEANWHILE
"...so our Ex-Operator Felix has stated that I should be the new leader, and if our enemy shall give such a wonderful comment as that, it must be true!" bolstered the man from before. The troops sounded off, as they praised their new leader; leader of the Blastronaughts.

MEANWHILE MEANWHILE
He sat in his cell. Counting the days going by. He had no idea when he'd leave; and if he'd ever leave. He was chained to all four walls. He was immovable. He was trapped. He was known as:
Mercury.

TIC!!!!
Age of Arcturus!! (whatever that means..)

Joey and Joel had been traveling for some time. They probably took a wrong turn somewhere, because the land was foreign to them. Just then, a burning helicopter flew by, crashing into a nearby field. They rushed over, investigating the scene. It burned for a good long time; no survivors, sadly, but it was there.
That wasn't what took the cake, though, as they both looked up at the building which appeared in the distance.
Image
Joey looked hard at the structure. Its menacing spotlights and defenses seemed like it was important in some way. Although, he couldn't understand how some passer-by hadn't reacted to it yet, but it didn't really matter.
"It says... Prison.." Joey stuttered, trying to make out the words written on the front entrance so far away.
"Pretty frickin' large prison; gotta say" he then remarked.
"I forgot how good your eyesight is" Joel chuckled, nudging him.
"Anyways, we don't have to get involved in anything like this. Let's go, Joey-"
"Wait!" Joey said, shushing him. "Listen!"
Sitting there for a moment, they listened. Both of their antennaes then perked up to the sound.

H̺̭̣̜̻̭̔̑͆̿̃͂̕e͉̜͚̤̯͍͚̾̾͗̀͗̌͂̐̕͠l̳͔̗̥͇͚̪̤̙̿̓̇̃͋̃͋͢p̴̨̻͙̩̦̜̉̂͑͋̃͢.̳̯̪̥͉̒̅̾͑̓.̢̧̹̬̖̭̝̳́̏͋̂̄ ṁ̢̩̲̠̼̔̐͐͛̑͢͟͟͡e̬̠̩͎̩͙̯̘͊͒̽̉̀̾͞.̢̳̹̞̍̍̑͗̽̽̕͢.̣͓̞̜̜͎̳͉̫̅̈́̄̅̊̚͢͡

Then, the area went back to the silence of mere cricket chirps, and the soft humming of the tower.
"Wow, that was- weird.." Joel said, rubbing his head.
Joey jumped up, "That must mean there's a Kydol in there!" he said, sticking his chest out in a cartoonish way.
"This is a rescue mission now, isn't it-"
"It is now!" Joey cut him off. Joey ran towards the building, and Joel followed behind reluctantly.

They slowly opened the doors to the next floor. They had already traversed multiple floors without being detected; which puts some shame on the prison's security.
"ah here, cells." Joey whispered.
"Hello?" he said in a slightly louder voice. In response, he heard the sound of chains moving; although Joey didn't pick up on it.
He began wandering around, looking for anything, whilst Joel walked down a solitary hallway, finding the source of the sound. He looked on at the man.
Image
"Hmm.. nothing her- oh god who are these people" Joey said, turning around to a new group of people with Joel.
Image
"I found them in some cells, and decided to let them go." Joel answered.
"Hey, don't forget the deal. These guys could be some hardy criminals!" Joey said.
Suddenly a laser flew through the air. Looking to its source was the man named Trickster, jumping around and emitting lasers from his magic wand whilst screaming and laughing.
"..Eh... they'll be okay?" Joel shrugged.
Joey looked at him with disappointment, but there was no way to put them back in there cells. Suddenly, the doors behind them burst open.
"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE DOING OUT OF YOUR CELLS!!!?" the guard shouted. Then more guards began flooding out of the doors.

They reached the top floor of the prison; all the alarms and everything were going off. Bullets flew up from the bottom floor as Joey slammed the door shut.
"COME ON LET'S GO!" he shouted.
They all hopped onto the large beast (except for the Trickster who had already disappeared), which then let out a groan and begin flying away from the building as bullets sprayed and spotlights shown.
"Jeez, that was close. And we didn't even find the Kydol." Joey sighed.
"Seems like we're dipping in some bad things now" Joel said, fluttering his eyes with irony.
Joey shoved him, "It's only once! We won't do this again." he let out another sigh.
Joey held on to the horns of the beast, directing it as they went.
"How exactly IS this thing flying, anyways?" Joel pondered; observing the fact that the beast had no wings.
"It's like one of those Chinese dragons, you know, they just twirl around in the sky and all." Joey replied.
Then it was silence once again.
Joey began humming a tune, which Joel humored him for humming, when suddenly the man began waking up.
"Hey. Hey, he's coming to his senses" Joel said while leaning over him.

"Ugh.. wh.. where are we? Who are you?"
"Oh, hey. Well, we're currently in the sky, leaving that prison. My name is Joel, and this is my brother Joey" he said, pointing at Joey; Joey waved back.
"I guess you could call me the evil one." Joel said with a smirk, nudging his older brother.
Joey sighed, "I guess in that case I would be the good one." he said, glaring down at Joel.
"Oh.. Okay then. Where are we going?"
"Tryna get home." Joel said, lying down on the fur of the beast.
"So uh- who are you exactly?" Joel said, breaking the silence.
"Oh, my name is Murcury; I'm a special prototype android built in 2078!"
Image
"2078?" Joel said, rising up.
"Yes, I was created to prevent disaster!"
"What happens in 2078?" Joey asked
"Well, where I was created, a terrible Artificial Intelligence took over, and began executing all humans!"
"I.. see.." Joey said.
"Are you sure you didn't frizzle your wires or something?" Joel said, looking at Murcury.
"Oh. maybe I did." Murcury said, rubbing his head.
"Hey guys... I think-- I think we're here." Joey said.
"Why's that?" Joel asked
"We stopped."
Image
"Well I don't see the hou-" "LOOK OUT!!" Murcury screamed.
KRBOOM!
The group began falling quickly towards the ground as the beast roared in pain; its pieces going everywhere.
A missile had struck the beast; presumably from the prison. Joel, attempting to stop flipping through the air, finally created a portal and flung everyone into it.
They all landed in the dirt, coughing and groaning.
"Agh.. What.. Was that?" Murcury asked.
"Looked like a missile to me." Joey said, coughing.
"But how could it had followed us such a long distance? We were up there for atleast a day!" Murcury said.
"Who knows? It doesn't matter. We just lost our transportation, and we're once again somewhere unfamiliar." Joel said.
They all got up and noticed a very small building in the distance. Approaching it seemed like a good idea, as for when they did there was no interaction from anybody in the vicinity.
"It seems this place has gone cold." Joey said.
The building had no door, so slowly- one by one, the gang walked into the building, looking around for anything fishy.
"I- I can't see anything in here.." Joel mumbled. Suddenly a white light shone from behind him.
"Someone was here a few minutes ago. Let's check it out." Murcury said as a white wall of lasers emitted from his eyes, scanning the room.
Joey walked around in the dark, feeling the walls. It wasn't until he felt something feel him that he realized his mistake.
"Guys.. check this out!" Murcury said, pulling out a box from under some debris.
Joel walked up to it, attempting to read it. "Co-dex.. Oh, a Codex? No wait. 'Project Codex'." He blew the dust off the top of the box, and then opened it up. He instantly slammed it shut with bulging eyes.
"So, what was in it?" Murcury asked joyously.
"Uh.. some.. things." Joel said, visibly shuddering.
"Anyways," Joel said, shaking his head, "where's Joey?"
"No idea.." Murcury said, rubbing his chin.
KRAW!!!
"What the?!" Murcury said, enabling a light from his chest. Infront of the two stood a person-sized spider; and it looked hungry!
Suddenly more began showing up, and the room began filling up with them. It soon turned into a firefight as Joel chucked lasers at the hoards and Murcury shot as many as he could with his arm which could apparently turn into a gun. (wow..)

"Lisssten to them in there.." the voice said as gunshots echoed through the building.
"Heheh.. They probably won't ssurvive." it laughed, looking down at Joey.
"Thiss- let's just say.. is a little revenge.. He he!" it crept closer to Joey as he screamed; his gag muffling him.
"Xaviar.. Take care of our.. guessst."
"Yes sir!" said a much more cheery voice as it grabbed Joey, dragging him into further darkness.
Image

"Finally they're.. all dead.." Joel said in a pant.
"We can't give up now. Joey is definitely missing at this point!"
"Yeah.. I.. okay.." Joel said, walking out of the building.
"Where could.. he have gone?"
"Hey, look over at our right. There seems to be a storm door over there!" Murcury said, pointing out the very obvious storm door.
Joel sighed, "Alright, let's hope he's in there."

They opened the door to pure darkness, which Murcury helped illuminate with his inbuilt flashlight. They walked into the damp and dark basement-like underground structure with caution, looking out for anything that could be there. Soon, they walked into a solid gray room with a door.
"I guess he might be in here?" Joel said, walking towards the door. Murcury looked behind him, scanning for anything peculiar.
"Doesn't seem anything is in here..." Joel said, looking into the darkness of the next room.
"I guess he's not in hEE--" the door slam shut, startling Murcury. He looked back to see his new friend was gone. Despite the fact he was an android, he shook with fear, knowing he would probably be next.
"Come out and fight me like a man!" Murcury shouted to the darkness, his hand gun out. (get it? Hand-gun?)
BZZZRRRT
He flopped over to the shock, letting out a moan. A figure stood over him.
"Who.. are you..?" he said, slowly getting up.
Image
The figure stared him down, only silently breathing. Slowly, it reached up towards its helmet, slowly taking it off to reveal..
Image
"..Bradon?"
"Merk!"
"Where have you been? How did you find me? Why did you shock me-"
"Places! I've been places! Anyways, let's get out of here! What are you doing down here anyways?"
"I'm trying to rescue my friends! We have to go save them!" Murcury said.
"Where are they at?" Bradon asked.
Murcury pointed at the door.
"That should be easy!" Bradon said, going for the door. It wouldn't budge.

The truck started.
"Come on, stop resisting!" the creature said.
The creature loaded Joel and Joey into the back of a truck, tying them down.
They hopped into the front, crushing the petal to the metal. The truck took off, straight for a cliff!
"Hey, stop!" screamed Murcury, coming out of the storm doors just in time. He took a few shots at the vehicle, but they all missed.
"Hahaha, losssers!" the one creature yelled, jumping out of the truck. It went right off the cliff, the sounds of screaming went for a while until an explosion replaced them, gibs flying up from the cliffside. The now identifiable Kydol laughed as the blood rained down on him, running off into shrubbery to escape from the attackers.
"Take this!" he said before running in, chucking the last of Joey's head towards them before running off.
Image

An hour later.

"Is he dead?" Connor asked, looking down at the severed head.
Image
"If I know Joey..."
"He'd still be out here..." Felix said, surveying the terrain.

Meanwhile...
The bomb was ticking. There sat Joel and Joey, tied up in the back room. This would probably be their last time together.
Across the room from one another, their antennae outstretched towards each other in final desperation.
'Joel?' Joey questioned.
'Yes brother?' Joel responded.
The room was silent, but their minds filled up with a conversation.
Suddenly, the door to the room bust down, revealing Connor with his swords. He chopped up the bomb haphazardly, disarming it, and then cut the ties on the two brothers.
"No one is dying today!" he proudly stated!
"We were able to fix the star gate!" Felix said, walking in.
"Wait what?! Murder Joey is with you?!"
"..You mean Joel?" Joey asked.
"Hello child." Joel said as green flickered in his eyes and a smile on his face.
"oh hello" said Felix, slowly sinking towards the floor.
"POLICE! WE KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE!" came a scream from outside. Everyone scrambled up the stairs to see what was going on. Up above, a S.W.A.T team was entering into the lone building. Obviously someone contacted the Police about something.
"Quick, over here guys!" Connor whispered. The group ran over to a tree behind the SWAT van.
"How are we gonna get out of here?" Felix whispered.
"I've an idea!" Connor said as a lone officer walked towards the van. Connor dove out from behind and cut out his throat, dragging his body behind the tree and putting his uniform on.
Image
"How exactly does that help us?" Felix asked.
Connor responded by holding out a pair of keys with a big grin on his face.

"HEY, STOP RIGHT THERE!!" a man shouted, waving his pistol at the leaving van.
"WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING?!!" he shouted again.

"Good idea." Joey complimented Connor as they drove off in the van.

One hour later

SCREEEEEEEEEEECH

CCBBBSSHHHH!!!
"Ugh... well.. there goes the van..." Felix groaned, looking at the crunched van.
"What now?" Joel asked.
As if known, a portal suddenly opened up behind them. Murcury popped his head out, looking at the gang.
"Oh hey guys!" he said
"Hey!" Felix waved. "Whose that?" he asked Connor
"I don't know!" Connor said while derply smiling.
"Hey, you guys should all come with us, we got some place!" Murcury said.
"Alright, let's go." Joey said, walking into the portal.

I have returned with another episode!!!
We're getting really close to the end of one of the seasons, and every other season past these post-its are way better in story, logic, and actual design! That means I can stop drawing stickmen and-- wait shit i still have to draw stickmen but now they're fat. Gotta wait till Season 3 for human-like bodies...
Anyways, enough of that, for those of you who are actually still holding on I present...

TIC
The Final Season

(but we all know that's not true. Also there aren't even any seasons yet hahahaha-)

Suddenly, in a bright flash of light, everyone looked up to see they were now within a quite comfortable looking cabin.
"hh- wh- a?" Joey stuttered.
"Is this our uh- temporary home now?" Joel asked.
"I guess so" stated Murcury.
Exploring the cabin, the group found suitable bedrooms and all began claiming and personalizing territory within the building.
That one guy who showed up for like 1 episode randomly disappeared with Murcury, and everyone just didn't care and fell asleep.
Joey and Joel sat ideally in their room, waiting for exhaustion to knock them out.
"Ugh, I'm actually really bored now. Is there anything we can do?" Joey asked
"Well, there's nothing I can think of right now, brother. I think we've finished everything on the To-Do list." Joel replied, moving his antennae around.
Image
"Woah, did you see that?" Joey said, getting up and pointing at the window. Joel turned to look, but saw nothing.

"I don't see anything. Maybe your exhaustion is finally kicking in?"
"Well... Yeah, I guess it was just me." Joey said, yawning from no visible source.

Slowly, he lifted the vent from its place, and lowered himself towards the carpeted floor. Landing with an inaudible thud, he slowly untied himself, viewing his surroundings.
He spotted him, and slowly sneaked up to him.
Ah, my prize. he thought.
Surgically removing the syringe from his belt, he leaned closer towards Joey, slowly applying pressure to the plunger as the fluid traveled within.
Image

Joel heard something, he was sure of it. Becoming restless, he looked up from his bed, surveying the great void of the night. Once again he heard something, the creaking of a bed.
"Joey... are you okay?"
The man froze, the cover of darkness would soon be of no avail in stealth. Quickly, he hastened his paste on his push, and slid the needle out, placing it back in his belt. He slid towards the corner of the room and waited for whoever else was in the room to fall silent again. After a few minutes, he took up his rope, climbed up into the shafts with slight noise, and quickly exfiltrated from the building, leaving no trace of ever being there.

"It has been done, sir." the man said to his commander.
"...but I couldn't bring him here, I would've been caught-"
"You fool!" bellowed his commander.
"You were told to bring him here no matter the circumstances. That was your final warning, and thus you must pay the price!"
"No, no! Sir! I won't mess up this time I swe- GHAACK!" his words spewed, echoing through the halls as his head bounced onto the floor.

"Rise, Joey." Joel said, lightly shaking his brother.
Joey moaned, and then pulled off the sheets, looking at Joel with weary eyes.
"My goodness, did you sleep at all?"
"Nngh.. rough night, I guess." Joey replied.
"So that must have been you that I heard last night?" Joel questioned.
"What do you mean..?"
The duo walked out of there rooms and noticed how eerily empty the house was. Moving towards the kitchen table Joel found a note that Felix had left. Joey sat down at the table and stared hard at it, nearly falling asleep. Joel sat opposite from him, slowly eating a piece of bread whist eying down his sibling. Joey coughed, he coughed hard, projecting some snot onto the table.
"Mother in Makt, watch where you're coughing!" Joel said, more distant from the table.
"You must've caught something last night." Joel said again, rising from the table and placing his hand on Joey's cheek to better examine him. Joey waved him off.
"Relax.. I'm- okay.." he said in an almost drunken state.
"You're definitely sick" Joel retaliated. "I need to find out what you have."
"Maybe I can help" said a mysterious voice.
Joel; jumping into the air, instictually cast a fire ball behind him. The figure behind him dodged with ease, and watched as it went through the front door, setting fire to the shrubbery outside.
"Gah! Who are you? How'd you get in?" Joel said, holding flame in his hand.
The figure walked into better light.
Image
"My name is Carson. And I think I can help!" he said cheerfully.
"Also you left the door unlocked so-"
"Wait, are you a Kydol?" Joel said, hastily walking up to him and grabbing him by his scarf.
"Uh.. yes. Yes I am" Carson said meekly, slowly attempting to free his scarf. Joel let go, joy in his eyes.
"And you are probably a newborn, yes?"
"I- guess you could say that.." Carson replied.
"Oh, good!" Joel said with glee, "What is it like back home?"
"..Oh.... Uh..." Carson looked off and scratched his head. "I never got to really see it." Joel was puzzled by this.
"What? How? Where were you born?" he asked.
"Let's-- wait until another day to sort this out." Carson said, walking up to where Joey currently sat. Joey coughed up more snot, and sniffled.
"We should probably relocate him to a bed." Carson stated. The two dragged Joey back into his room and packed him tightly under the blankets. Carson, revealing he too was trained in the arts, began attempting to identify the virus with magic. The two worked hard, but found nothing they could identify in human books, nor Kydolian.
"Strange, this, this is a new disease of sorts." Carson said while rubbing his chin.
"Look at his skin, its taking a green tone." Joel said as he rubbed Joey's skin; cooler and mushy to the touch.
"I should probably get to know our patient better. What is his name?" Carson asked, looking over at Joel.
"Well, he's Joey. I'm Joel."
Carson's eyes widened.
"The- Joey?"
Joel took a second to understand what he meant, but then put the pieces together.
"Oh, yes, of course. This is him."
"Such a powerful creature being attacked by a microscopic force. Fascinating." Carson remarked.
Suddenly a loud burst at the door alerted the two, looking behind them to see Felix and Connor enter the house.
"Are these friends of yours?" Carson asked. Joel nodded.
"Hey, we're back from a tournament. Oh, hey- uh.. Whose this?" Felix said, pointing at Carson. Joel told him, and they all proceeded to greet each other. Whilst everyone talked to each other; getting to know one another, Joel looked back over at Joey, whose eyes staid fixed shut. He got closer, listening for any breathing. He panicked. He felt for a pulse, but felt nothing. He stood up, taking the attention of everyone as he pounded into Joey's chest, attempting to resuscitate him.
"Woah, holy crap, what happened to Joey?" Felix said, walking over to the bedside.
"He- he got sick! This isn't happening." he began muttering over and over. He stopped. Tears in his eyes.
"Guys.." he said weakly. "I- I think he's.. Dead."

"My servant has failed me again!" he boasted.
"He was a noob-
*BEEP*
"We must eliminate Felix as well." he said again.
"How will you accomplish that?" the voice asked.
"Leave it to me!" he said, walking into the light..

Lightning flashed overhead; a loud rumble came afterward.
Felix looked out on the terrain as he pondered the death of his comrade, sipping a beverage. He leaned back in the chair, thinking about what he could've done to prevent it.
It's my fault, he thought.
The others were inside, mourning the death of their lost one. Joey was gone, and he probably wasn't coming back. Joel had taken the body under his wing, and had given it a traditional Kydol send-off, burning the corpse and scattering the ash into the wind. They all sat silently inside, looking at each other.
"I can't believe I tried to kill him!" cried Connor
Carson said
"It will be okay."
Some drank, others did not. Small talk was exchanged, but then it'd fall silent again. Soon, the crew began leaving, saying their goodbyes, and traveling off into the distance. It was just Joel and Carson now.
"Hey," Carson said, wandering outside. Joel followed out, looking for what the problem was.
"Where's Felix?" Carson questioned, looking at the empty chair.

2 months later.

Felix zoomed down the highway. He went as fast as he could, keeping his cool.
BLOOM BLOOM BLOOM
The street tore up behind him as a small aircraft shot rounds just behind him. He kicked up the gear and sped across the terrain, nearing a cliff.
Image
"I've got you now!" yelled the pilot, dastardly laughing as they approached the cliff.
Image
Felix hit the throttle, and flew off the cliff, plummeting into the valley.
The pilot pulled back, stopping at the edge and attempted to look down.
"That was.. very unexpected.." he mumbled.
"Oh well, guess my job is do-- ooh!" A ship flew up into his view. He saw the opposite pilot wave to him, as he delivered rounds into his ship, blowing it up instantly.

"Hell yeah!" screamed Connor, cheering his miniature victory.
"Nice flip!" Carson complimented.
Felix thanked him still panting, rubbing the sweat off his brow.
"Alright, let's head off back home!" Connor said, turning the ship away from the cliff.
Felix sat there looking at a photo. It was really the only photo he had of him and Joey; not like they had much interest or time to really stand around to take one, but they were lucky to get one. He looked hard and long at it; thinking about the small interval of time they coexisted.
Suddenly, the screen behind him lit up, he jumped up at the sound of someone yelling.
"FELIX!!"
"Uh, y-yes sir?!" Felix said, saluting the man on the dark screen.

"We aŗ̸̡̬͎̗̣̈́͂͒̈́̈́͊̓͂͜ͅȩ̺͉̟̟̓̓͑͆̓̾̄̿̈͠ a̸͓͎̣̝̱̜̫̪̍̇̀͌̋͜͡͝ṗ̵̧͙̗̮͎̅̓͊̊̏̃̿̇͘͟r̵̼̯͕͉̪̜̉̓͌̿̉̃͜͜͟͞o̢̡̟̱̜̠͎̠͖̍̀̈̏͛̌̚͘͞ͅb̶̨̫̫̺̼̏͆͊͂͠h̷̨̲̰͍̰̩̞̠̏̅̂̂̑̔̒̄̋̕h̶̭̖̬̬͚̻͐̄̓̓̋̇̎́̕͡ b̴̧̨͚͍̱͙͈͛̎̉͗̍̋͟͡ͅr̠̗̞̘̻͒̈͂͌̓̀̍͠͝ố̷̻͎̮̟̞̟̉̋͆̂̽̔̌͠s̴̠̣̫͍̥̫̱̆͊̎̍͊͐͑̍̀͂͢ẁ̴̝̠̣̣̖͚͉̓̒̂̾̕͠h̨̰͓̪͔͙̹͔̯̆̑̋͂͡͞à̠̬̞̖̮͍͒̀͘͝."

"Erm, what? You're breaking up, sir! What did you say?"
"CRAW!!!" screamed a beast from behind them. The camera shook and the man fleed, but failed to get away. The screen went static, then went black. Felix stood there agasp to what he'd just seen. He shook his head, calling Carson to come over. They headed to the back of the small aircraft and opened up to a small room.
"I missed this." Felix said.
"Me too!" Carson peeped.
The two walked back out in their sparkling armor.
Image
"Ooh, can I come too??" Joel asked.
The two looked at each other, and then back.
"We'll all go!" Felix proudly stated, looking at Carson.

The ship descended onto alien soil. They were once again somewhere in space, searching for something.
"Oh my, that's big." Carson said.
They glared at the tall tower.
Image
(Front and side views for reference)
Image
"Let's go." Felix said, trudging forward.

Image
It screeched at them, nearly blowing them away.
Standing within the halls of the huge building, they readied themselves for a battle.
"Wait a second.." said Carson. He glared at the tiny dome ontop of its head.
He conjured a beam and flung it towards the dome, instantly blowing it away with a yelp; a corpse flinging away from the scene.
Image
The beast went silent, slowly wriggling itself back into the ground.
"Well that was anticlimactic" said Joel.
"Let's go in this room now" he said as he pushed a random button.
"Hmm.. There doesn't seem to be anything in here.." Felix noted as he walked in. They surveyed the room, but found nothing.
Clank! Felix heard from across the room. He toggled a light on his helmet to look, and saw. Just across a small dark pit was him..
"Ach! Please, no!!" screamed an innocent looking man stuck in a corner. Infront of him stood a man with robots arms and blonde hair. His eyes were white and green, surging with power. He turned and smiled at Felix, letting out a small chuckle.
Image
"Let him go!" yelled Felix.
The man turned around, incinerating the cowering man in the corner. He turned back.
"Make me" said the man, electric coming from his fingertips.
Suddenly a drawbridge slid from under the floor, connecting the two splotches of ground. They both walked forward, the crew hanging back, watching in awe.
"You'll be much easier than Joey!" boasted the man; his hands on his hips.
Felix gasped, bringing him back months earlier. He re-felt all the pain again; the hopelessness of the entire situation. Then he remembered the small detail. He noticed the footprint on the carpet- no boot like anyone had, but he assumed it was just him. Besides, he was caught up in mourning his friend, not some random bootprint. It all came together now, he looked up with anger.
"You hired someone to kill him!" Felix screamed on the verge of tears.
The man laughed, "It took you that long to figure that out? I thought you were more than that, Felix!"
"You're dead!" Felix shouted, pulling out his gun. He cranked up the power on the thing, and let out a large beam of light towards the opposing force. He thought he had him, but from the red light he could see a conflicting green barrier. He grunted and walked forward, increasing the pressure.

10 minutes of fighting later, the two found themselves out of breath, glaring each other down with hatred. On the sidelines, the group stood wondering if they should step in or let the duel continue.
Crreeeeeaaakk
CRRACCK!
Felix yelped as he fell into the pit, his enemy quickly scrambling off the bridge.
Felix grasped the small edge of what was left, halting his descent. He cried out in fear, hovering over a pit of death.
"Later Felix!" piped the opponent, running off cackling. Felix was suspended, slowly losing his grasp.
"We have to save Felix!" Joel cried out in a half-hearted tone.
"THERES NO NEED TO FEAR," echoed a voice from nowhere.
The group looked around to see who said it.
Joel asked, "Was that..?"
"HENRY IS HERE!!!" screamed the voice, revealing a young Henry falling from the sky on a rope.

==========================================

With a brisk glide through the air, Henry glided through the air, accidentally letting go of his rope, and face planting into the hard rock below.
"hww Fwlxx." he said, waving his arm in the air.
"You're out of the hospital!" Felix said, still holding on for dear life.
Henry lifted up his head, and got up, reaching down to Felix.
Image
"Sure did!" he said, pulling Felix up.
"Alright, we gotta get out of here!" Felix said, brushing himself off. And so they did, heading quickly back to their ship and blasting off back home.

"Welcome to the Star Bound!" Felix stated proudly.
"Wow, it's-- small." Henry said, loosing enthusiasm. It was a small ship; topped with bunk beds, weaponry, and some cool space TVs or something like such.
"This ship is like a house, but with guns-- and in space!"
"Alrighty then" Henry said, finding a place to lounge."

Elsewhere
Cameron looked over his equipment. He opened up a crate, and took his possessions.
"I think it's time I told them." he said to himself.
"Tell them who I really am."
Image
With that, he slid the helmet on.

MEANWHILE, ON EARTH.

"Ha ha, what a trick they tried to pull!" he cackled, walking over to his prize.
"They thought they could trick us with the sham funeral.." he continued.
"But I was able to... dig up some clues!" he said, laughing, ripping the white sheet off of his prize.
Image

"So.. What do I do with it now" the man said, still admiring his possession long after reveal.
"..We give them Joey." said the man with the robot arms.
"What?" the man said in disbelief, turning to his leader.
"Are.. you okay?-"
"LISTEN!" castigated robot arms.
"If we give them Joey, they will think the worst part has past; surely the living dead should-- distract them for some time."
"They won't expect what is waiting for them..." he continued with a smirk.

======================

He heaved the body with him, throwing it into the small chilled room. He had known that the ritual hadn't been actually carried out, as Joel had told him. He didn't know exactly how the others had figured out where he'd been buried, but he was glad he got there before they did. He looked down at the lifeless body of Joey with a smirk.
"Stay down, Joey."
"Stay down."
Image
With that, he closed the door.

Joel was sitting outdoors, staring off in the surrounding fields as he leaned on a pillar on the porch. Felix came out in a new red armor, which got him some compliments.
"So when did Joey die?" Henry said, coming out as well to join the group. Carson engaged him in conversation about the date and time, which he tried to stay with as he was also learning who Carson was.

Joel turned to the group, mostly engaging Felix who had taken off his helmet.
"You know I.. I never told you about this." he said with uttermost seriousness.
"What is it?" Felix asked.
"Well- Joey.. He--" he stopped to collect his thoughts.
"I didn't actually-" suddenly, he was cut off as a bullet flew in through his neck and out towards the house, shattering a window. Felix shrieked as he hit the ground frivolously putting his helmet on. Henry jumped in through the doorway back into the house, and Carson prepared to shield himself from further attacks. He glanced over at Joel's body, and then proceeded to run over and cast a bubble around it. Felix scrambled to his feet and kneeled over by Joel, holding his head.
"Oh my god, Joel! Stay with me!" he said, nearing crying.
Joel choked on his blood, eying Felix down, he spat out a bit, but finally uttered.
"Joey will lvehh" he drowned on his words as Felix looked down at his lifeless eyes.
"We need to get him to a hospital!"
"You really think they're gonna take in an alien?!" barked Henry, coming out from the house.
"I know a place we can take him." Henry said, running off the property.

Meanwhile

"Sir, I killed Joel. Mission accomplished." the assassin said in a low tone.
The man with robot arms let out an angry scream at him.
"NO!" he shouted. "I said FELIX!" he said as green bolts of electricity emitted from his hands.
"...oops." the assassin nervously said.
