      DISPOSITION โ˜… ๏น— Image.........
I CANNOT SEE WHAT FLOWERS ARE AT MY FEET, NOR WHAT SOFT INCENSE HANDS UPON THE BOUGHS.
BUT, IN THE EMBALED DARKNESS, GUESS EACH SWEET.

JUDGMENTAL : Her stare does not waver, even in the face of recognition. She holds their eyes within hers, and does not let them go. itโ€™s not a battle of wits, nor is it prying into the window of their souls โ€” sheโ€™s simply watching. Their nose scrunches and their brows furrow in confusion. Neither party wants to prove to be submissive and break away first, but both know it has to end. Estelle finds it admirable, the will to gaze into her eyes for so long and so relents first, not in discomfort of her own but in sympathy for theirs. The other party smiles in victory, and she is fine with that. After all, they told her everything she needed to know.

ROMANTIC : The perfect world does not exist โ€” nor will it ever. However, it is the hope that she could achieve her own personal perfection that drives her to do the things she must. The heart she thinks so fondly of is sewn on her sleeve, attached to her effortlessly and yet so willing to unravel at the slightest of tugs; almost as if it wants to destroy itself. A beautiful death caused only by self-inflicted pain.

SINCERE : Many have called her blunt, to the point of mean harshness. Where the words she means to be gentle are razors that cut deep, and the praise she offers genuinely is twisted into jealous mockery. With the bone engraved moral to always speak your mind Estelle doesnโ€™t know how to stop; and people, she finds, are very willing to criticize, but never help.

FICKLE : She needs things done her way. There is a method to her madness, and anyone who dares disrupts her flow she sees as a hindrance. Someone who doesnโ€™t appreciate her, the way she thinks she should be, would state her to be a perfectionist. She isnโ€™t, but everyone has bias they cannot forgo โ€” she will do things halfheartedly and let work in progresses stay that way, but they must be done in a certain way that makes sense to her. Itโ€™s not a quirk, for that would mean people like that quality of hers.

INSATIABLE - Everything never seems to be enough. There will always be something to complain about, a void in her being that she cannot understand, or a feeling that she cannot get rid of. Sheโ€™s flighty, and can not stay in one place for long. The scenery around her seems to lose its glamour and the people she had grown so fond of then becomes deplorable.Traits and quirks which she might have found interesting at first has grown to be an annoyance. Often Estelle wonders if there will ever be a person who sheโ€™ll never grow bored of, and then laughs knowing there probably wonโ€™t be.

xxxxโ˜†๏น—LIKES
There are not many things Estella can say she enjoys, however the smell of dewy grass never ceases to calm her. Perhaps it is because it smells fresh - untainted - and signifies a time where things were not so complicated, however it could be her love for poetry that makes her see a metaphor instead of a reality. How lovely dreams are that the Queen of Stars wishes she were there instead of her own island. She is flighty as a bird, diligent like a rock, and finds serenity in monotony while annoyance in steadfastness. She is contradictory in what she prefers, and often she'll forget why.

xxxxโ˜…๏น—DISLIKES
More than anything, Estelle hates fish. She sees captivity not by someone else's design but their own, and abhors the idea that one is limited by what they are. Confinement, deprivation, and unknowing of one's potential is just as hazardous as knowing completely who one is. For it is the sense of danger, the adrenaline induced excitement, that makes her want to weep because when all is said and done she craves it.

      Imagexxxxโœ QUIRKS| HABITS

โ˜† Estelle has a horrible tell that is not obvious at first, but once noticed is hard to ignore; she begins to rub the center of her hand in small circles. Hardly noticeable, but there all the same.

      โœ FLAWS| WEAKNESSES

`โ—‡ FORGET ME NOT ; Many a time Estelle has been late to meetings by the simple fact she she does not remember. It's an inconvenience for all those around her that many find irksome.
`โ—‡ BRAIN OVER BRAWN ; She is not the most notable queen for her fighting prowess, and frankly she prefers not to get her hands dirty - she has people for that.
`โ—‡ BY MY COMMAND ; There is something to be said about a person who cannot compromise, for even those she is quite passive herself, when acted on she's incorrigible.

      โœ TALENTS| STRENGTHS

`โ—‡ IN ALL LIKELIHOOD ; She sees the world in numbers. Whatever anyone's opinion on her might be there is an undeniable fact that she is a very apt strategist (& mathematician). She knows the percentages of possible outcomes, and the most efficient of plans, it is of great help in fighting -- when she can be bothered to try.
`โ—‡ FOR THE ANGRY ; She knows what to say to the people in order to quell heated hearts. Her words may not always be one-hundred percent truthful, but the calamity of her people is what matters the most. To calm the hearts of some is to cease its entirety.
`โ—‡ KNOW THINE ENEMY ; Being the Queen of Stars she knows extensively of each zodiac. How they rule, why they do the things they do, how they do them. It is her job to watch over everyone, and should something stop her short of such a pursuit, she will simply find another way.

      โœ FEARS

`โ—‡ DROWNING ; Breathlessly, without sound.
`โ—‡HONESTY ; Estelle expects people to go behind her back, and it's to have someones complete trust and adoration - terrifies her.

      HISTORYโ˜†๏น—
Estelle was raised as every other Queen had been before. She was taught poise, etiquette, and politics among other things. She never had a moments rest, and when she did her dreams were made of silk and feathers. Being the next in line for the throne meant her life was more precious than the rarest of jewels. She didn't mind the treatment, being catered upon from an early age would do that, but the moment they tried to limit what she could and could not know is when she had enough.

At the age of eighteen she took her crown with a heavy heart. She did not want the power if it meant limiting what she could do and so passed a law that stated the Queen had all the power in her land. The republic that once was, is now an oligarchy ruled by a few close government officials. However, the power to create and overrule new laws was entirely up to her.

No longer would they try and limit her.

NOTHINGNESS ;; MY DREAM WAS REALIZED
destruction - Estelle has the ability to cause a target or an object to be erased from existence. This power of hers however is only to be used in destroying celestial bodies, and should never be used on a living person least something similar happen upon her as well. It is not a power used for pleasure, but for her role as the Queen of Cosmos & Stars. As well as destroying them, she can create new stars. They will never come to full fruition in her life time, but it is a tradition to create and name a star after every Queen that has died.

memory erasure - She can take people's memories away, it's as simple as that. It's not precise, but over the years she has learned how to control it to an extent. It seems as though even an eternity of understanding her power would not be enough to perfect it.

nothing construct - From nothing - not even the ashes of what once was - she can create objects. Whether they be weaponry or simple furnishing for her castle - she can create it. It does however have a limit as to the size and magnitude of the object, but for the most part little inconveniences are null in her presence.

side effects - There is a certain limit as to how much nothing she can erase until she herself is affected. Each time a new star is created or destroyed a part of her disappears as well. Subtle until the moment she ceases to exist. One of the downsides of taking someone's memories is that she too looses a part of her own memory on why she did it. That being said however, there are moments when she constructing that she simply forgets. Estelle uses the nothing construct more than she should, and thus has made her forgetful. However, she can't say it's a bad thing simply because she does not remember.

Declarations of war. The thing many rulers fear, while others embrace it with a fire burning deep within their soul. Now that the Cosmos and all those who reside in it are under the threat of war, the two major sides have chosen to meet within one of their allied kingdoms. For the King, it was the Princess of Virgo who would host, while the Queen the Princess of Capricorn.ย

As for all those declared โ€˜neutral,โ€™ many have highly advised them to consider a side; to at least look at those who are potentially arming against them - and consider those who are primarily around them. For while many prepare to depart, those who have not chosen to align themselves with a side still must choose if they need to call a meeting among themselves.

Once the war begins, no one will be safe. But for now, we turn to our stars that shine brightly in the skies of spring.

                      xxxEARLIER
There were only two things more abhorrent in life than the act of living itself; the first being long distance traveling.

To Estelle, whose thoughts would run endlessly without a sound, she found boredom without occupation. Seeing the world in dark numbers and ink-stained words so often, that regularly she would forget what color the sky looked at dawn. This was because to the Queen of Stars there was no time like the present, and she knew her life had a time limit.

With such a dislike for traveling however, it was a wonder that Estelle hadnโ€™t died during the trip.
                      โ€จ
She and her knights had left the islands of Caelestis four nights ago, taking an airship to a port near the land of Pisces. She and a group of ten had then quickly rode the shortest distance possible across the country, so that by dusk they found themselves in the land of Capricorn.

It was mentally exhausting for the Queen for she would have preferred to use the portals as an easier and faster mode of transportation; but her advisers had been against the usage of such technology stating that they should try to appear non-threatening toward an ally. For who would be appreciative of a portal they had no recognition of and without their accord.

On top of a black horse Estelle sat warily looking at the two men she had to call knights. Augustine rode to her left while Levir to the right, and silently they were brooding like sullen adolescents. Neither had wanted to join her while she attended the meeting with her allies. But as her knights they had forgone their own personal distaste and bore it as bravely as a cowards in daylight. They had not said such improper opinions to her face, but years of servitude made her aware.

โ€œI wonder why I keep you here,โ€ she spoke more to herself but did not fluster under the accusatory glance of Augustine who had heard her. Estelle did not look over to see Levirโ€™s expression for she could already see him rolling his eyes mentally.

โ€œMy Queen, you hurt me! To what ideals of yours do I owe your ire to, for it is incredulous that I - your perfect knight - should be seen as anything less than satisfactory,โ€ she did not give him the recognition he wanted but rather what he truly needed and that was silence.

Truly, the solemnness of the group had gone to his head.

Slowly she turned her head from her companion and tried to see past Levir to admire the mountainous terrain that she and her crew were transversing with caution.

The land of Cornua Capri was beautiful, and reminded her of the floating islands in which she inhabited. Thick forests made the sky look green and the well worn paths had her wondering how many people traveled where she was right then.

In retrospect the land had been used for centuries, millennia even and it wasnโ€™t a great feat that she was standing there; but thinking about the history of such a place made her stare in awe. A small - barely visible - smile graced her features and she didnโ€™t have the heart to dismiss it quite yet.

She had traveled as a child, touring each country to learn more about each culture and the people who resided in it - but even years later Estelle could not help but look in curiosity. There was so much to learn, so much to see that it only added to her philosophy that the pursuit of knowledge should never cease.

โ€œWe will arrive at dusk, your Majesty,โ€ stated a guard - breaking her childishness behavior. The smile fell and her eyes narrowed into a look of apathy. She nodded her head to dismiss him and began riding steadily once more - forgetting about the wonders she had just realized.

                      xxxLATER
It was not the harshness of the mountain trail that set her on edge, but the silence of her companions that drove her to overthink and consequently make her all the more tired.

Estelle did not mind the quiet - in fact she thrived on it, but there was something disconcerting in her guards intonation that never let her be at ease: more so than usual. It was almost as if they had a secret that they knew she would figure out had they so much as uttered a sentence, and she was going to find out the reason no matter what. Of course brute force was always an option, but Estelle would have liked to think she had more tact than some other people she knew.

The horses stopped and so she followed suit, โ€œYour Majesty, here lies the capital of Cornua Capri - Viscera,โ€ the same guard who had spoken earlier recited, โ€We shall inform Princess Faust of your arrival.โ€ With that two knights of her group had sped off, dust trailing behind them.

Estelle raised her head in appreciation of the dutiful nature of her guards, and wondered what secrets lied beneath shiny armor.

|| Crystals || Of Monsters and Men ||

"A war?" Winter inquired. The messenger nodded, keeping his head low. "There's to be a meeting in the land of the Princess of Capricorn." Winter sat back in her seat, staring at the hot desert sun through the window. She was in the city of Artemesia in the Land of Aries's territory. At the center of the capital city there was a palace looking over the walls that protected the citizens and kept the desert animals out. "I'll have to travel there then, I presume, since I am in alliance with the Queen?" The messenger nodded, rising to his feet. "Is that all?" Another short nod and Winter dismissed him. She stood from her throne, the chair carved out of glass, a resource found in abundance considering where she lived.

"What are your orders Princess?" Winter closed her eyes, reminiscing in the cold breeze that wafted through the throne room. "Naturally, I'll go." Winter replied, her hands balling into fists. Her sister, dear Summer, was supposed to have this job. Instead, it was handed down to Winter, Winter who had never wanted to rule, Winter who was seen by many as unfit considering how hastily her education had been put together. The burden weighed heavily on her shoulders, one that was far too large for a girl of her size. Her voice lilted as she spoke her next words, "I have to keep in mind the best interest for my people." She walked down the three steps, bare feet padding across the carpeted floor. "Princess, do keep in mind that simply because you are outside of our walls does not mean you can throw away your culture."

"You insult me Warren, a lie has not graced my tongue since the day I was conceived." Warren smiled, while they vowed not to lie, it didn't mean that they could not withhold the truth either. There were many ways to dance around a lie without speaking one at all. "Please prepare my passage to the land of Capricorn, I'm going to wish my sisters farewell." Winter walked to the room she knew her two younger sisters to be studying in. They were learning about the burden that could befall them, in case Winter was afflicted by the same sudden ailment as their eldest sister. A knock on the door, two sets of eyes peered out. "Winter!" Spring, the second to youngest threw her arms around her older sister. Autumn was right behind her, grabbing hold of Winter's legs so that she couldn't move. "Why are you here?" Autumn asked, looking up from her position on Winter's feet. "You're usually too busy to visit."

"I came to say goodbye, I'm going to meet the Queen in the Land of Capricorn." Winter said and her sisters were clearly disappointed. No doubt they expected their older sister to whisk them away to some outing in the city. Their most popular retreat was a stand that sold ice milk in different flavors, they had been going there since before the untimely death of their parents. "You'll come back fine won't you? Not like Summer." Spring asked, clear cut concern in her voice. Winter smiled, "You know very well I can't promise anything." Spring seemed disappointed, her shoulders slumping slightly. "That doesn't mean I won't try." The two sisters gave her one last hug, then they were dragged back into their studies.

There was one more goodbye that Winter had to make before departing. She went upstairs, to the hallway most did not dare venture down. The farther you went, the more windows were draped shut until Winter reached two tall wooden doors. She knocked, hearing no answer. "Summer?" Winter asked, the door was slightly ajar but even so, Winter had to respect her older sister's privacy. "Winter?" Summer asked and Winter sighed in relief or perhaps hesitation, it seemed as though her older sister was having a rare lucid day. "It's me," Winter replied, opening the door a bit more. Summer was painting, the curtains were open, allowing natural light into the room. "Isn't it wonderful?" Summer asked, the entire canvas painted red. Winter smiled, "That is something." Yes, that canvas certainly was something. "I'm leaving."

"Leave? You just got here." Summer put down her paint brush, taking a step towards her sister. She was wearing nothing but undergarments and an open kimono robe, her entire body covered in scratch marks as though she had mauled herself. "Summer," Cress said, her voice full of concern. "It's nothing," Summer said, it wasn't a lie, because to Summer, the scratches were normal. "Please, take better care of yourself Summer. Spring and Autumn are concerned, they want their big sister." Summer looked out the window, her hands began to tremble, shaking like leaves. "They won't leave me alone." She threw down her paintbrush, turning on her sister, cornering Winter against the wall. "They come, creeping in like rats, their eyes are everywhere! They won't go!" Summer licked her lips, "You won't either will you? You'll stay with me." Summer hugged her, painting Winter's clothes red.

"I have to go," Winter apologized. Summer's grip on her tightened, "You can't though, we haven't had our fun yet." Winter stiffened, the door opened, Summer was pried off of her, a red paint print left on Winter's cheek. Two knights were there with a medic. "Summer, you haven't had your medicine." The medic said, full of concern, "You ripped off your bandages too."

"Princess," Warren took her wrist, voice full of concern. "She didn't hurt you did she? I've warned you about coming in here on your own." Winter shook her head, "Summer was just wishing me a safe journey is all. I must go prepare now," Winter turned, nails digging into her palms to keep her hands from shaking. Her footsteps did not echo, but silently padded down the hall. Back to her room she went, she couldn't arrive in Capricorn's palace looking like a piece of broken art.

xxxx; EARLIER | TEN HOURS BEFORE

The course of time changed all things; something about the swash and backswash of hours eroding away at the foundation of the past. He hated to put something so complex into such pompously simplistic terms, and yet he found he could think of no better metaphor nor simile nor any other sort of trick with words that ultimately meant nothing faced with the brutal barrenness of reality. He did not think of this often, very rarely in fact, but it was the simple truth of the matter that the four days of travelling he had endured thus far had brought to surface the side of him he tried very hard indeed to keep buried: the nostalgic side.

Some unnecessary sentimentality was drudged up among the mountains and the forests they meandered through, and his thoughts drifted somewhat to the past - the very thing that had changed. As a child, Estelle had been taken from nation to nation, and, ever the faithful mutt, he had been forced to follow closely. They had even given him a blade (barely sharpened) for him to carry around, acting out the part as the princess' official bodyguard. He had been so prideful then, walking stiffly behind the young princess (back straight, shoulders back, gaze focused), trying his hardest to copy the real soldiers of the guard with their emotionless expressions and stiff gestures, but remaining incapable of keeping the bright smile off his face.

He had loved the travelling then, every new country just a new place to show off his polished armor and bright new uniform. And of course there was the young princess, gem of Caelestis, future Queen of Stars. And then there was him, standing just behind her, where he knew he'd always be. That was less of a burden then.

As was travel. Even without focusing on his foolish youthful arrogance, he had been enthralled by each new land they visited. Everything was new and mesmerizing then: new topography, new culture, new everything. And with each new land, it seemed to him, a new him, one wiser and far more enlightened. Well. What else can be said except he has none to blame but that same foolish youthful arrogance.

But, as he had realized some hours before, travelling had become a burden. When, he couldn't say for sure, though if he had to gander a guess , he'd probably say it was likely around the same time he had discovered that just about everything had become a burden. What didn't quite qualify as something as bad an actual burden was just... tiring. Just tiring.

He cursed the dense atmosphere of the forests surrounding their party, which hardly eased the melancholy of the air. His general scowling was interrupted by a childishly malicious comment by the Queen, who had hardly spoken a word in hours. Half of him wondered if she was simply growing bored and needed to stir up some sort of event.

"Augustine, for the love of god," he said, unable to keep the weariness out of his voice, "do us all a favor and shut up." He turned slightly towards the Queen, inclining his head with a mocking smile. "And you, My Queen, ever the scathing sense of humor. I am quite certain you're very well aware that your loyal knights exist for the sole purpose to follow where you go and protect you from all harm." It sounded, of course, like the platitudes of any serving knight, but she would see the chill hidden in his eyes. He knew that at least. He knew because he could see the same look he knew his gaze held reflected in hers.

Slowly, he turned his line of sight back front, focusing on the steady canter of the horse rather than the stifling air of the truly very lovely forest, which held no fault, really, for enabling his pathetic self-pity. But he blamed it anyway, and would very well continue to do so.

It wasn't long before he felt the Queen's gaze again, but it lacked the heat of a direct stare. He glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, saw the there-not-there smile gracing her features, and laughed a small breathy chuckle. He couldn't resist sidling his horse closer to hers and leaning for one more snide comment before keeping his mouth shut (and he vowed he would do so) for the rest of the journey. "Careful there, your Highness," he whispered, a smirk lifting his lips. "Wouldn't want people believing you've still got a heart beating in that chasm of a chest of yours."

A guard spoke, and he took the opportunity to steer his horse away from the Queen's once more, all traces of his half-smile gone. They rode the rest of the way in silence.

                        xxxx; PRESENT

It took far longer than it should have to reach their intended destination. No, that wasn't true. They had maintained a good pace, reaching the capital earlier than the projected arrival time, but the fact remained that they had spent nearly the entirety of the day riding through the countryside. Thus, regardless of the anticipated travel time, it would remain to him an unnecessarily long journey.

Two of the knights under his employ dashed off in the direction of the residing ruler's abode, leaving only Estelle, him, Augustine, and a group of six other knights. Still, it was the closest thing he'd had to peace all day. Augustine, despite Levir's earlier plea for him to keep his thoughts to himself, had hardly shut up at all for the majority of the journey. He considered Augustine a very close friend and confidant of his, hardly anyone he trusted more, but still Levir sometimes got the urge to throw him off the highest building he could find.

Weariness had set in eventually, he supposed, and Augustine was largely quiet now. A small reprieve. He was enjoying the silence. He dared not speak to Estelle (not while there were others around, not while he'd have to slip on a mask of completely unquestioning loyal servitude), and he'd gladly be rid of Augustine for an entire week at least, so instead he lowered his head to the ear of his nickering horse and whispered empty promises of apples and sugar cubes while they awaited the return of the two knights with the welcoming envoy from the Princess Faust.

                      xxxPRESENT
Following her distaste for traveling, the second most loathsome thing - or person she should say - was the boy next to her. Levir stood silently, brooding with the land of Capricorn as his background, and for all intents and purposes he looked the part he was meant to play - a dutiful knight protecting his queen. She knew better however.

The words spoken only hours before rang in her ears and reminded her where they stood, โ€œWouldnโ€™t want people believing you've still got a heart beating in that chasm of a chest of yours.โ€ Mentally she scoffed but outwardly she kept her face stoic as ever. The audacity of her knight.

                      The underlying truth.

Estelle had come to reason with herself long ago that while she did in fact have a beating heart it was simply that and nothing more - her love for poetry be damned. The capacity she held to love and be loved started and died the moment she learned of her position in the world; and her sudden change of disposition was not one out of necessity but rather freewill.

After all, sheโ€™s always had more pressing matters to attend to - such as the meeting with her allies to discuss the upcoming war against the king.

She narrowed her eyes and let out a breath of exasperation. That man.

โ€˜Does he have no sense of honor, of pride?โ€™ Estelle wondered, but soon laughed at the preposterous notion that the King of Constellations would have no vanity. Of all the terrible traits he possessed, the self-adulation he felt toward his own ideology was so engraved in his heart that without it the king might as well have died.

โ€œYour Majesty, the envoy has arrived,โ€ a voice called out. The man then kneeled before her as any respectable knight would and dared not look into her eyes, โ€Shall we depart?โ€ It was funny how susceptible people to power were - acting submissive in front of it and yet lusting for more when bestowed upon them. It was their mortal nature, and it would be hypocritical of her to begrudge them for that.

Glancing at the man before her she responded, โ€œBy your lead,โ€ and off they went. She road her black steed with her head held high and her shoulders square, looking every inch the cool and aloof queen she was thought to be - as all rulers should be. It would not do her well to show how human, how touchable, she was.

The envoy lead them through narrow passageways and sunken ground, making sure to narrate each section of the city as he went. It was interesting Estelle would admit, but the lit to his voice caused her head to throb and the reins in her grasp to be held onto more tightly. However despite that she took time to notice the embellishments of the city with pride. The decorations were not the most extravagant she had received, but they most certainly were not unpleasant to the eyes either. Like the land of Capricorn it made sense.

Halfway through the tour however, and seemingly a quarter of the sunโ€™s life, Estelle smiled politically and spoke in a soft voice, โ€œThe land of Cornua Capri is fascinating and I wish I could listen to your beautiful narrative for hours, but I believe a faster pace would be more applicable to our situation.โ€ She found no reason to be harsh, and as such when the envoy's face turned crimson she simply ignored the scene before her and nodded her head as he stammered out his apologies.

The rest of the trip they kept silent. Occasionally Estelle would hear Augustine whistle from his horse and a look his direction would silence him, but otherwise it was exuded a sense of serenity. It was, for all the trouble and turbulence they faced, the perfect backdrop for tragedy.

โ€œWe are here your Majesty, Princess Faust awaits your arrival at the grand hall,โ€ the envoy spoke with a tinge of fear in his voice and Estelle could only incline her head to dismiss him. She would not of course tell the princess of his ramblings, but it would do him good to remember just exactly where he stands.

Quietly Estelle hopped off her horse and gave the reigns to one of the knights in her group. Soon after, and with a wave of her head, she ordered Levir and Augustine to follow her lead - walking at a moderate pace inside the citadel.

โ€œWhen the others arrive you will keep your heads up but your eyes lowered, do you understand?โ€ Estelle questioned, not looking at either of her knights but implying it all the same. It would do her no good to show her ally any potential weaknesses or imperfections.

โ€œOf course, my queen.โ€ She nodded and gave a sidelong glance to Levir before responding to Agustine with an amicable reply.

When they arrived at the grand hall, she spotted the princess immediately - her face a mask of passiveness that gave away her thoughts in the process. The princess was troubled, but for what reason she had no idea. After all, it was the same face Estelle wore herself.

โ€œPrincess Faust, I would like to thank you personally for holding the meeting in Cornua Capri,โ€ Estelle smiled in polite accordance and bowed her head slightly, โ€œYour affability will not go unrewarded.โ€

"Princess, we are truly sorry about the incident with Summer." They bowed before her, shaking slightly as though they had done something wrong. Winter smiled, a kind light in her eyes. In truth Winter herself was still a bit tense from the earlier encounter. She had gone only to say goodbye and her sister... No Winter wouldn't think of her in that harsh light. "What's there to apologize for? She's my sister, not some animal." They shifted, clearly nervous. "Perhaps, but Princess, we must warn you not to go into Summer's room without the accompaniment of a guard." Winter shook her head, "She won't hurt me," there was a bandage on her arm to refute that claim, but regardless, Winter wouldn't neglect her older sister simply because of this illness. "I'll return soon, hopefully with research if I have time to inquire about such things between meeting." Winter turned to leave, if she didn't go now, she would be late, giving her an even worse reputation. Winter was slightly intimidated by the fact that she knew some thought less of her due to the rush in which the crown had been transferred to her. Winter worked hard to prove them wrong, she was attempting to revive her Kingdom and make it thrive.

"Are those shoes I see?" Her newest adviser, Sir Jacin Clay, teased. It was common knowledge that the Princess detested footwear in the form of anything that was more than decorative jewels and yet here she was, wearing boots. "Yes well, I would look like a fool if I stepped onto the desert sand barefooted." Sir Clay escorted Princess Winter to her caravan, the desert heat bearing down upon her the moment she stepped foot out of the safety of the palace. In truth, their city wasn't as sand covered as one might think, however it still managed to gather in every nook and cranny, sometimes in piles, other times in droves. Dust and sandstorms were frequent as well, it was common knowledge that when outside, if you weren't wearing a cloth mask and goggles you were daft or foolhardy. As children you learned quickly the importance of carrying these tools, too much desert sand in the eyes could make you go blind and up the nose well, it was quite irritating to be digging sand out of there.

Aside from the occasional stop to repair a broken wheel, their journey went otherwise unhinged. Winter arrived at the thresh hold of Capricorn's home without difficulty. The act of travel was tiring and the Princess was ravenous for a meal that didn't consist of fish and bread. "I apologize for the delay," Winter said to the guard at the door she encountered on her way in, Sir Clay close behind her. "I do hope I'm not among the last to arrive." She followed the woman inside, holding her head high. "This way to the Grand Hall Princess," it was still such an odd thing to be referred to as Princess. A few months ago, Winter was simply Winter. Now she was the Princess of Aries, ruler of an entire Kingdom. Winter felt no more a Princess than she did a child.

The doors to the Grand Hall opened with ease and inside was the Queen Estelle. It was a delight to finally meet her in person and Winter almost found herself stumbling upon first sight. Queen Estelle was every bit as marvelous as the rumors foretold; she had an air of unmatched confidence and her eyes were as cool and collected as swirling galaxies. "My Queen," Winter dipped into a curtsy, cursing herself for not dressing up for the occasion. The Princess felt like a sight for sore eyes what with her slightly rumpled dress and sand covered boots.

xxIt was an uneventful travel. This was of course from the personal opinion of the Taurian Prince. Unfortunately, such view was not shared by his retinue as they were dragged along their Lord Prince's whims that were as quick and as sudden like lightning. Diethric was in a foul mood due to it, as he had to cater the impulses of utter uselessness. The Umbra had tried reason, force, and guile to alter the desire of their Prince. It only fell on purposely deaf ears and the schedule done was thrown in disarray. "I hope you are prepared to explain yourself for being late." The journey itself was anything but uneventful.

xxDespite the difference of interpretations, they had arrived safely in Cornua Capri even with the periodically stops done along the way. It was clear as well because of those instances that the entourage of Taurus arrived at a late hour, much to the dismay of Diethric. Information had been given that the Queen along with Princess Aries had already arrived. Both ladies were currently being welcomed by the Princess Capricorn at the Grand Hall of Praesidium in which they were now being escorted towards to.

xx"Is that the needle causing that crease between your brows?" Those words carried such eloquence and the timbre of mirth. It would not be a mistake to be taken by it. "Then, allow me to pluck it for you." A hand reached out towards Diethric who was currently riding on his steed alongside the Prince. "What?" He pulled on the reins and while moving away from the hand aiming to land on his forehead. "Stop it!" It was the resonating battle cry which was answered with a chuckle while the hand returned to its rightful side. The envoy sent to welcome and assist the Prince watched the exchange in both disbelief and confusion.

xxThose who are familiar with such moments simply looked away or sighed. In regards to Diethric, his face reflected the shade of the brightest apple. The Umbra was clearly embarrassed and was only fueled more by the next set of words. "You look ravishing. If the thought of my touch, colors more than your cheeks. I wonder what else would be crimson if my skin is upon yours." For that matter, he was not the only one red from those statements. "Pr--Pri--Prince Zenith!" It earned once more another chuckle as its source, the Prince, rode ahead of the rest with pristine and elegance on Arion unfazed by the impact of his thoughts which left his men and his escorts flushed like a girl in love.

xxThat was equally entertaining and enlightening if Zenith would be asked. There was also the feeling of triumph as he rode Arion along the passageways of Capricorn's domain. The sights were fascinating and he did take his time in admiration. It was why his suite and escorts reached him after their moment of deliberation. "Lord Prince, please do not go on your own." Septus spoke as he was now by the Prince's side. In truth, that reminder was but asked to be delivered by Diethric who was a bit of distance. "There might not be an immediate threat, but we could never know."

xxSilvery green eyes cast its gaze on Septus who silenced himself unconsciously. Zenith did not speak a word and lingered on the Caballarius Leader's reflection. Stillness permitted between them and only after the envoy halted on the Prince's side did the spell broke. The door to the Grand Hall awaits. The attention then shifted to another being. "Arion, be safe while I am away." He ran his fingers through its mane. The noble horse neighed in reply and after so, he dismounted. Others followed suit and by his side, Diethric and Septus took the point. Once all are ready, the Prince of Taurus was escorted to where the others had already convened.

xx"Prince Zenith, I would like to ask for you to refrain from speaking much of your thoughts." Diethric who had regained his composure spoke in a reprimanding tone. It would have more weight if only he would look towards the Prince. "Now, what use am I as a Prince if I do not say what I think?" His tone held the stealth of intimidation while wrapped in the seduction of necessity. Diethric shook his head and was about to impart a few guiding principles, yet was cut off when Zenith spoke again this time to Septus. "Ah yes, Septus have you brought the gifts I bought?" The said man nodded with due pride of initiative. "Yes, Lord Prince." The Prince could not help but offer a smile for the enthusiasm his Caballarius Leader was presenting.

xxThis moment was disturbed only by his Umbra's complaint. "You must jest, Prince Zenith. We cannot have what you picked randomly earlier be presented to other rulers especially to the Queen!" Diethric was in clear distress of what the Prince intended to do. These concerns as it had been before were simply given end with a smile and a few words. "That is rather cruel of you to say. In a gift, it is always the thought that matters, my dear Umbra." Unable to speak further, Diethric yielded begrudgingly as the Taurian Prince entered the opened doors where the Queen, Princess Aries and Princess Capricorn awaited in their full embellishment.

xxUpon entering, Zenith flawlessly catered to decorum of royalty as he delivered a bow. "My Queen. Princess Aries. Princess Capricorn. Good day." Diethric and Septus did the same, yet their heads remained lowered. It was an action of hierarchy and respect.
