I am accepting new characters because I think it would liven up the roleplay more, so don't be nervous to join since we are so far into it. Nothing huge has happened yet.

Chapter One: The Crash
Day One through Five (Posts 1-636)
The students crash on the island by plane and by day one, they begin to understand that there is more to this island than just sand and trees.

Chapter Two: New Discoveries
Day Sixty Seven through _______ (Posts 637-____)
Great time has lapsed since Chapter One ended, and the survivors have realized their powers, and understood more about the island. But they soon find that they have learned close to nothing compared to what is to come.

December 16, 2010

The plane has been flying for about three hours now, all over the Atlantic Ocean. It's late at night, and the plane shouldn't land for about another five hours. Suddenly over the intercom the passengers hear the pilot talking with a calm yet panicked voice, "Please put your seatbelts on, we are going through some heavy turbulence." Five minutes after the huge bumps of the outside storm, oxygen masks, and life vests are opened above the seats. The plane has become pure chaos now as everyone tries to ready themselves. The plane begins to descend extremely fast, and crashes in to the ocean.

Few people emerge from the wreckage in the middle of the ocean, but some make it to a nearby island, concious or not. The few survivors wake up to a bright morning sun shining on the white sand beach. Most of the island is covered in overgrown tropical vegetation, no obvious life other than birds high above the tall trees, and no people, or so they thought.

The plane consisted of students at a high school in South Carolina, and three teachers, going on a special trip to Italy.

The island is inhabited by many animals: birds, snakes, spiders, insects, and possibly mammals of our choosing. We also may find people, probably not a tribe like we would think, because I'm guessing if people were on the island they would have been in the same situation as us, but they are more savage than us from life on this island for so long.

My only rule is to be semi-literate when you post. I want more than a paragraph for posts, and two or three for an intro. Also be consistent in posting. Once per day or two.

A large group of characters is present, but many of them appear to be in separate areas, though they are contained within a main environment; it is good that some posts identify where and when the characters are interacting, but this is not present in all posts, which can lead to some confusion. The idea for the plot is a good one, and some of the characters are well written, though others could benefit from some improvement. The same can be said for the quality and content of the writing therein. I think this piece of writing could do with a revamp, as it is obviously feeling the strain at the moment and as such less writing is happening. There isn't a great deal going on in terms of an introduction in the Introduction section; the story there could do with beefing out a little, although it is good that what is there is relevant to the plot and characters involved. I think what this RP needs is a little help getting back off of the ground; some of the characters need some assistance in growing, and proofing of posts for some authors needs to be a little more thorough; there are several easy to spot mistakes in recent posts that don't make for easy reading, and some of the posts have become quite small. To help this RP get going again, introducing a posting order (or a micro-culture posting order) may benefit, so that writers know when it is their turn and when they are expected to post. Also, setting a rough estimate on word count per post (a minimum, certainly) may help put detail back in where it has become lacking and close the stark gap that seems to have formed between the higher and lower level posts in this piece. At the moment, it is clear that this RP needs a little direction injecting back into it, but the fact that it has clearly been popular shines favorably upon both creator and participants. The characters interact well, the plot has clearly been pushed forwards steadily throughout the narrative, and writers of all levels have managed to stick together throughout; this is commendable. With a little work, this will be a very satisfying RP for those participating.

(i've kinda just hung on as best i could, bust from what i can tell, theres loads more ppl, and max is taking some of us up to the mountain to explore. Tirka's discovered some of her power, and its rlly freaking her out, but she aint saying. thats the best i can cme up with. try pming Jayhawker for a summary?))
